(18991) Ibn Abi Awfa reported: I participated in seven expeditions with the Prophet (ﷺ). We used to eat locusts with him.
(b) In the narration of Ibn Abdan, it is said: I asked Ibn Abi Awfa about locusts. He replied: We participated in six or seven expeditions with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and we used to eat locusts with him.
(c) It is reported from Abu Walid: (We participated in) seven expeditions or six.

(١٨٩٩١) ابن ابی اوفیٰ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ سات غزوے کیے۔ ہم آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ ٹڈی کھاتے تھے۔
(ب) ابن عبدان کی روایت میں ہے کہ میں نے ابن ابی اوفیٰ سیٹڈی کے بارے میں پوچھا تو ابن ابی اوفیٰ نے کہا : ہم نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ چھ یا سات غزوے کیے اور ہم آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ ٹڈی کھاتے تھے۔
(ج) ابو ولید سے منقول ہے سات غزوے یا چھ۔

(j) Abu Walid se manqol hai saat ghazwe ya chhe.
Abu Ya'fur said: I asked my companion Abdullah bin Abi Awfa about locusts, so he said: There is no harm in it. We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in seven campaigns and we used to eat locusts.

(١٨٩٩٢) ابو یعفور کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنے ساتھی عبداللہ بن ابی اوفیٰ سے ٹڈی کے بارے میں پوچھاتو انھوں نے کہا : کوئی حرج نہیں ہم سات غزوات میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ تھے اور ٹڈی کھاتے تھے۔
Abu Yafoor kahte hain ke mein ne apne sathi Abdullah bin Abi Aufa se tiddi ke bare mein poochha to unhon ne kaha: Koi harj nahin hum saat ghazwaat mein Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke saath the aur tiddi khate the.
Abdullah bin Ufay (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We participated in six or seven battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we used to eat locusts.

(١٨٩٩٣) حضرت عبداللہ بن اوفی (رض) فرماتے ہیں : ہم نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ چھ یا سات غزوات لڑے اور ہم ٹڈی کھالیا کرتے تھے۔

Narrated Salman (RA): The Prophet (PBUH) was asked about locusts. He said: It is an army from amongst the armies of Allah. I neither eat it nor declare it forbidden.

(١٨٩٩٤) سلمان (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ نبی سے ٹڈی کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو آپ نے فرمایا : یہ اللہ کا بہت بڑا لشکر ہے نہ تو میں اسے کھاتا ہوں اور نہ ہی حرام قرار دیتا ہوں۔

Abu 'Uthman an-Nahdi narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The biggest army of Allah on earth is the locusts. I neither eat it nor do I declare it unlawful."

(١٨٩٩٥) ابو عثمان نہدی فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : زمین پر اللہ کا سب سے بڑا لشکر ٹڈی ہے نہ میں کھاتا ہوں اور نہ ہی حرام قرار دیتا ہوں۔
(18995) Abu Usman Nahdi farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: zameen par Allah ka sab se bada lashkar tiddi hai na main khata hun aur na hi haram qarar deta hun.
Salman narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked, and you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said the same, and said: Allah's army is vast.
The Sheikh said: This is permissible when it is not declared forbidden, then it is lawful. Just don't eat it yourself.

(١٨٩٩٦) سلمان فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے پوچھا گیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے بھی اسی کے مثل فرمایا اور فرمایا : اللہ کا بڑا لشکر ہے۔
شیخ فرماتے ہیں : یہ مباح ہے جب حرام قرار نہیں دیا تو حلال ہے۔ صرف خود کھائی نہیں۔
(18996) Salman farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se poocha gaya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne bhi isi ke misl farmaya aur farmaya : Allah ka bada lashkar hai.
Sheikh farmate hain : Yah mubah hai jab haram karar nahin diya to halal hai. Sirf khud khai nahin.
(18997) Abdullah bin Umar (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two types of dead animals and two types of blood have been made lawful for us. The two dead animals are fish and locusts, and the two types of blood are liver and spleen."
(B) Zaid bin Aslam narrates from Abdullah bin Umar (RA) that: "Two types of dead animals have been made lawful for us."

(١٨٩٩٧) حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہمارے لیے دو مردار اور دو خون حلال کیے گئے ہیں۔ دو مردار سے مراد مچھلی اور ٹڈی ہے اور دو خون سے مراد جگر و تلی ہے۔
(ب) زید بن اسلم حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمارے لیے دو مردار حلال کیے گئے ہیں۔
(18997) Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Humare liye do murdar aur do khoon halal kiye gaye hain. Do murdar se murad machhli aur tiddi hai aur do khoon se murad jigar o tili hai.
(b) Zaid bin Aslam Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) se naqal farmate hain ki humare liye do murdar halal kiye gaye hain.
Sinan bin Abdullah asked Anas bin Malik about locusts. He said: We went with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to Khaibar and with us was Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) who had a basket in which there were locusts that he had placed behind his back. He would take out locusts from there and give them to us and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would see us eating them. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When we returned to Medina, we bought some from him, then we ate them for a long time.

(١٨٩٩٨) سنان بن عبداللہ نے حضرت انس بن مالک سیٹڈی کے بارے میں پوچھا تو فرمایا : ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ خیبر گئے اور ہمارے ساتھ حضرت عمر (رض) بھی موجود تھے جن کے پاس ایک ٹوکری تھی جس میں ٹڈیاں تھیں جو اس نے اپنی پچھلی جانب رکھی تھیں تو وہ وہاں سیٹڈیاں نکال کر ہمیں دیتے اور ہمیں کھاتے ہوئے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) دیکھتے تھے۔ حضرت انس (رض) کہتے ہیں کہ جب ہم مدینہ واپس آئے تو ہم نے ان سے خرید لیں ، پھر ہم لمبا زمانہ اس سے کھاتے رہے۔
18998 Sanan bin Abdullah ne Hazrat Anas bin Malik se tiddi ke bare mein poocha to farmaya: Hum Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath Khaibar gaye aur humare sath Hazrat Umar (RA) bhi maujood thay jin ke paas ek tokri thi jis mein tiddiyan thin jo usne apni pichli janib rakhi thin to woh wahan se tiddiyan nikal kar hamein dete aur hamein khate hue Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) dekhte thay. Hazrat Anas (RA) kehte hain ki jab hum Madina wapas aaye to humne un se khareed li, phir hum lamba zamana is se khate rahe.
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about locusts. He said: I would love to have a basket full of locusts which we could eat.

(١٨٩٩٩) حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب (رض) سے ٹڈی کے بارے میں سوال کیا گیا تو فرمایا میں پسند کرتا ہوں کہ میرے پاس ٹڈی کی بھری ہوئی ایک ٹوکری ہو جسے ہم کھاتے رہیں۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) farmate hain ki Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) se tiddi ke bare mein sawal kiya gaya to farmaya mein pasand karta hun ki mere pass tiddi ki bhari hui ek tokri ho jise hum khate rahen.
(19000) Wahab bin Abdullah Mufakhri and Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) went to the woman who had nursed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She presented fried locusts in ghee before them and said, "O Egyptians! Eat this, perhaps you like livestock more than this." I said, "We like livestock more." She said, "O Egyptians! A Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked Allah about the meat of a bird that is not slaughtered, so Allah granted him fish and locusts."
(b) Saadi bin Ajlaan from Abu Imamah Bahli narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Maryam, the daughter of Imran, asked her Lord to feed her meat that has no blood, so Allah fed her locusts. She said: 'O Allah! Keep it alive without milk, and attach it behind the thigh without a voice.'" I asked, "O Abu al-Fadl! What is 'Shi'a'?" He said, "Voice."

(١٩٠٠٠) واہب بن عبداللہ مفاخری اور عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی پرورش میں موجود عورت کے پاس آئے۔ اس نے ان کے سامنے گھی میں بھنی ہوئی ٹڈی پیش کی اور کہا : اے مصری ! یہ کھاؤ شاید آپ کو چوپائے اس سے زیادہ محبوب ہوں۔ میں نے کہا : ہمیں چوپائے زیادہ محبوب ہیں تو اس نے کہا : اے مصری ! کسی نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اللہ سے ایسے پرندے کے گوشت کا سوال کیا جس کو ذبح نہ کیا جائے تو اللہ نے مچھلیاں اور ٹڈی عطا کیں۔
(ب) صدی بن عجلان ابو امامہ باہلی فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : عمران کی بیٹی مریم نے اپنے رب سے سوال کیا کہ اسے ایسا گوشت کھلائے جس میں خون نہ ہو تو اللہ نے اس کو ٹڈیکھلائی۔ اس نے کہا : اے اللہ ! اس کو بغیر دودھ کے زندہ رکھ اور تو اس کو بغیر آواز کے ران کے پیچھے لگا دے میں نے پوچھا : اے ابو الفضل ! شیاع کیا ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : آواز۔
(19000) Wahab bin Abdullah Mufakhri aur Abdullah bin Umar (Razi Allah Anhuma) Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki parwarish mein mojood aurat ke paas aaye. Usne unke samne ghee mein bhuni hui tiddi pesh ki aur kaha: Ae Misri! Yeh khao shayad aapko chopaye is se ziada mahboob hon. Maine kaha: Hamein chopaye ziada mahboob hain to usne kaha: Ae Misri! Kisi Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Allah se aise parinde ke gosht ka sawal kiya jisko zibah na kiya jaye to Allah ne machhliyan aur tiddiyan ata kein.
(b) Saadi bin Ajlan Abu Imamah Bahili farmate hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Imran ki beti Maryam ne apne Rabb se sawal kiya ki use aisa gosht khilaye jis mein khoon na ho to Allah ne usko tiddi dikhayi. Usne kaha: Aye Allah! Isko baghair doodh ke zinda rakh aur tu isko baghair aawaz ke ran ke peeche laga de. Maine poocha: Aye Abu al Fazal! Shia kya hai? Unhon ne kaha: Aawaz.
Aishah (ra) used to eat locusts and would gift them to each other. Yazid said: I asked Sa'id: Did you hear this from Anas (ra)? He said: Yes, I heard it.

(١٩٠٠١) حضرت انس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ازواج مطہرات ٹڈی کھاتیں اور ایک دوسری کو تحفہ دیا کرتی تھیں۔ یزید کہتے ہیں : میں نے سعید سے پوچھا : آپ نے حضرت انس (رض) سے سنا ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں میں نے سنا ہے۔
(19001) Hazrat Anas (RA) farmate hain keh azwaj mutahharat tiddi khati thin aur ek dusre ko tohfa diya karti thin. Yazid kehte hain : main ne Saeed se poocha : aap ne Hazrat Anas (RA) se suna hai ? unhon ne kaha : haan main ne suna hai.
(19002) Said ibn Musayyab said: ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), Miqdad ibn Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him), and Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) used to eat lizard. ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Even if we had one or two baskets of them.”
(b) ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Fish and lizard are already slaughtered.”

(١٩٠٠٢) سعید بن مسیب فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر (رض) عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) مقداد بن سوید اور صہیبٹڈی کھاتے تھے۔ حضرت عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں : اگرچہ ہمارے پاس ایک یا دو ٹوکریاں بھی کیوں نہ ہوں۔
(ب) حضرت علی (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ مچھلی اور ٹڈی ذبح کی ہوئی ہے۔
(19002) Saeed bin Musayyab farmate hain ki Hazrat Umar (RA) Abdullah bin Umar (RA) Miqdad bin Aswad aur Suhaib taddi khate thay. Hazrat Umar (RA) farmate hain: Agarchay hamare pass aik ya do tokriyan bhi kyun na hon.
(b) Hazrat Ali (RA) farmate hain ki machhli aur taddi zibah ki hui hai.
Abu Sa'eed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) used to see his son and family eating locusts, but he would not forbid them, nor would he eat them himself. Zainab said: I think he did not consider it good.

(١٩٠٠٣) حضرت ابو سعید خدری (رض) دیکھتے کہ ان کے بیٹے اور گھر والے ٹڈی کھاتے ہیں تو ان کو منع نہ کرتے اور خود نہ کھاتے۔ زینب کہتی ہیں : میرا خیال ہے کہ وہ اس کو اچھا نہ سمجھتے۔
(19003) Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) daikhtay keh un k bety aur ghar walay tiddi khtay hain to un ko mana na kartay aur khud na khtay. Zainab kehti hain : mera khayal hai keh wo is ko acha na samajhtay.
