It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Muhammad bin Yahya that Walid bin Walid bin Mughirah Makhzumi complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the thoughts that came to his mind, so you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When you come to your bed, then say: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His wrath and punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the incitements of devils, and from their approaching me.' By the One in Whose hand is my soul, nothing will harm you until morning.”
حضرت محمد بن یحییٰ سے روایت ہے کہ ولید بن ولید بن مغیرہ مخزومی نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنے خیالات کے بارے میں جو انھیں آتے تھے، شکایت کی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ’ ’ تم اپنے بستر پر آؤ تو یوں کہو۔ میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے کلمات تامہ کے ذریعہ سے اس کے غضب اور سزا اور اس کے بندوں کے شر سے پناہ میں آتا ہوں۔ اور شیطانی وساوس سے بھی پناہ میں آتا ہوں۔ اور اس بات سے بھی پناہ میں آتا ہوں کہ وہ میرے پاس آئیں۔ پس قسم اس ذات کی جس کے قبضے میں میری جان ہے۔ تمہیں صبح تک کوئی چیز نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکے گی۔ “
Hazrat Muhammad bin Yahya se riwayat hai ki Walid bin Walid bin Mughira Makhzumi ne Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apne khayalaat ke bare mein jo unhen aate thay, shikayat ki to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya : '' Tum apne bistar par aao to yun kaho, Main Allah Ta'ala ke kalimat e tama ke zariya se uske ghazab aur saza aur uske bandon ke shar se panah mein aata hun, aur shaitani wasawis se bhi panah mein aata hun, aur is baat se bhi panah mein aata hun ki woh mere pass aayein. Pas qasam is zaat ki jis ke qabze mein meri jaan hai, tumhein subah tak koi cheez nuqsaan nahin pahuncha sakegi.
It is narrated from Hazrat Yahya bin Ja'dah that Khalid bin Walid used to get scared at night, even though he had a sword with him, and he would go outside in this state. Then, he felt this fear that he might hurt someone, so he complained about it to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Gabriel told me that a great jinn intends to harm you, so you should recite: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah, from which neither the good nor the bad can escape, from the evil of everything that descends from the sky and that ascends therein, and from the evil of everything that enters the earth and that emerges therefrom, and from the trials of the night and the day, and from the evil of everything that comes with the night, except for that which comes with good, O Most Merciful.' So when Hazrat Khalid recited these words, his condition ceased."
حضرت یحییٰ بن جعدہ سے روایت ہے، کہتے ہیں کہ خالد بن ولید رات کے وقت ڈر جاتے تھے اور ان کے پاس تلوار بھی ہوتی تھی اور وہ اس حال میں باہر نکل جاتے تھے، پھر انھوں نے یہ خوف محسوس کیا کہ یہ کسی کو زخمی نہ کردیں تو انھوں نے نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے اس بات کی شکایت کی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا :” مجھے جبرائیل نے کہا تھا کہ ایک بڑا جن آپ کے لیئے برائی کا ارادہ رکھتا ہے پس آپ (یہ) پڑھیں :” میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے ان کلمات تامہ کے ذریعے سے پناہ پکڑتا ہوں جن سے کوئی نیک اور بد تجاوز نہیں کرسکتا، ہر اس چیز کے شر سے جو آسمان سے اترے اور جو آسمان میں چڑھے اور ہر اس چیز سے جو زمین میں داخل ہو اور جو زمین سے خارج ہو اور رات، دن کے فتنوں سے اور ہر رات کو آنے والی ہر چیز کے شر سے مگر وہ رات کو آنے والی چیز جو خیر کے ساتھ آئے، اے رحمن “ چنانچہ حضرت خالد نے یہ جملے کہے تو ان کی یہ حالت ختم ہوگئی۔
Hazrat Yahya bin Jaadah se riwayat hai, kehte hain ki Khalid bin Waleed raat ke waqt dar jate thay aur unke pass talwar bhi hoti thi aur woh is haal mein bahar nikal jate thay, phir unhon ne yeh khauf mehsoos kiya ki yeh kisi ko zakhmi na kar den to unhon ne Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se is baat ki shikayat ki to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: “Mujhe Jibraeel ne kaha tha ki ek bada jinn aap ke liye burai ka irada rakhta hai, pas aap (yeh) parhein:” Main Allah Ta’ala ke in kalmaat taammah ke zariye se panah pakadta hun jin se koi nek aur bad tajaawuz nahin kar sakta, har is cheez ke shar se jo aasman se utre aur jo aasman mein chadhe aur har is cheez se jo zameen mein dakhil ho aur jo zameen se kharej ho aur raat, din ke fitnon se aur har raat ko aane wali har cheez ke shar se magar woh raat ko aane wali cheez jo khair ke sath aaye, Aye Rahman. Chunancha Hazrat Khalid ne yeh jumle kahe to unki yeh haalat khatam hogayi.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Usman bin Abi Al-Aas that he came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Verily, Satan intervenes between my prayer and my recitation. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “This is the Satan who is called Khanzab. So when you feel it, spit three times on your left side and seek refuge with Allah from its evil.”
حضرت عثمان بن ابوالعاص کے بارے میں روایت ہے کہ وہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت اقدس میں حاضر ہوئے اور انھوں نے عرض کیا۔ یا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! تحقیق شیطان میری نماز اور میری تلاوت کے درمیان حائل ہوجاتا ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” یہ وہ شیطان ہے۔ جس کو خنزب کہا جاتا ہے۔ پس جب اس کو محسوس کرو تو تم اپنی بائیں جانب تین مرتبہ تھوک دو اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے اس کے شر کی پناہ مانگو۔ “
Hazrat Usman bin Abu Al Aas ke baare mein riwayat hai ki woh Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat e aqdas mein hazir huye aur unhon ne arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) tahaqquq shaitan meri namaz aur meri tilawat ke darmiyan ha'il hojata hai Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya ye woh shaitan hai jisko khunnas kaha jata hai pas jab isko mehsoos karo to tum apni bayen janib teen martaba thook do aur Allah Ta'ala se uske shar ki panaah maango
Hazrat Abu Al-Tayaah narrates that a man asked Hazrat Abdullah bin Khanbash: When the devils wanted to harm the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), what did you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) do? Abdullah replied: Devils came down to you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from different valleys and mountains, and among them was a devil who had a large ember of fire. And through it he wanted to burn the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). But then that devil became afraid of you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The narrator Ja'far says: I think he started to retreat. Hazrat Jibril (peace be upon him) arrived and said: "O Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Say." You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What should I say?" Jibril said: "Say this: I seek refuge in these perfect words of Allah, from which no wicked or righteous person from among the creation can transgress. And no one who is born or comes out can transgress. And I seek refuge from the evil of everything that descends from the sky and ascends into the sky, and from the evil of everything that enters the earth and comes out of the earth, and from the evil of the tribulations of the night and the day, and from the evil of anything that comes at night except for that which comes with good, O Most Merciful." The narrator says: So the fire of the devils was extinguished and Allah Almighty made them fail.
حضرت ابو التیاح بیان کرتے ہیں کہ کسی آدمی نے حضرت عبداللہ بن خنبش سے پوچھا۔ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ جب شیاطین نے مکر کرنا چاہا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کیا کیا تھا ؟ عبداللہ نے جواب دیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس مختلف وادیوں سے اور مختلف پہاڑوں سے اتر کر شیاطین آئے اور ان میں ایک ایسا شیطان بھی تھا جس کے پاس آگ کا ایک بڑا انگارہ تھا۔ اور اس کے ذریعہ سے وہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو جلانا چاہتا تھا۔ لیکن پھر وہ شیطان آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے مرعوب ہوگیا۔ جعفر راوی کہتے ہیں۔ میرا خیال ہے کہ وہ پیچھے ہٹنے لگا۔ حضرت جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) تشریف لائے اور انھوں نے فرمایا : ” اے محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! کہو “ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا۔ ” میں کیا کہوں ؟ “ جبرائیل نے کہا۔ ” آپ یہ کہو : میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے ان کلماتِ تامہ کے ذریعہ پناہ پکڑتا ہوں کہ جب کلمات سے مخلوق میں سے کوئی فاجر یا نیک تجاوز نہیں کرسکتا۔ اور کوئی پیدا ہونے والا اور نکلنے والا تجاوز نہیں کرسکتا۔ اور میں ہر اس چیز کے شر سے پناہ حاصل کرتا ہوں جو آسمان سے اترے اور آسمان میں چڑھے اور ہر اس چیز کے شر سے جو زمین میں داخل ہو اور زمین سے باہر آئے ، اور رات ، دن کے فتنوں کے شر سے اور رات کو آنے والی کسی بھی چیز کے شر سے مگر رات کو آنے والی وہ چیز جو خیر کے ساتھ آئے، اے رحمن “۔ راوی کہتے ہیں۔ پس شیطانوں کی آگ بجھ گئی اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کو ناکام کردیا۔
Hazrat Abu Altiah bayan karte hain ke kisi aadmi ne Hazrat Abdullah bin Khanbhush se poocha, Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saath jab shayateen ne makkar karna chaha to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne kya kiya tha? Abdullah ne jawab diya, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas mukhtalif wadion se aur mukhtalif paharon se utar kar shayateen aaye aur un mein ek aisa shaitan bhi tha jis ke paas aag ka ek bada angara tha aur is ke zariye se woh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko jalana chahta tha lekin phir woh shaitan aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se maroob hogaya. Jaffar ravi kehte hain, mera khayal hai ke woh peeche hatne laga. Hazrat Jibraeel (Alaihissalam) tashreef laaye aur unhon ne farmaya: "Aye Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Kaho". Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne poocha, "Main kya kahun?" Jibraeel ne kaha, "Aap yeh kaho: Main Allah Ta'ala ke in kalmaat-e-tama ke zariye panah pakadta hun ke jab kalmat se makhlooq mein se koi fajir ya nek tajawuz nahin kar sakta aur koi paida hone wala aur nikalne wala tajawuz nahin kar sakta aur main har us cheez ke shar se panah hasil karta hun jo aasman se utre aur aasman mein chadhe aur har us cheez ke shar se jo zameen mein dakhil ho aur zameen se bahar aaye, aur raat, din ke fitnon ke shar se aur raat ko aane wali kisi bhi cheez ke shar se magar raat ko aane wali woh cheez jo khair ke saath aaye, Aye Rahman". Ravi kehte hain, "Pas shaitanon ki aag bujh gayi aur Allah Ta'ala ne un ko nakaam kar diya."
It is narrated on the authority of Mujahid that he said: Evil thoughts and imaginations used to come to me from the devils, etc. I asked Ibn Abbas (about it). So he said: Tell me what you saw. Do not be afraid of it. Because just as you are afraid of it, it is also afraid of you. Do not be more cowardly than that. Mujahid said: I saw it again, so I hit it with a stick until I heard the sound of the blow.
حضرت مجاہد سے روایت ہے کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے شیاطین وغیرہ کی طرف برے برے خیالات و تصورات آتے تھے۔ میں نے حضرت ابن عباس سے (اس کے بارے میں) پوچھا۔ تو انھوں نے فرمایا : تم نے جو کچھ دیکھا ہے وہ مجھے بھی بتاؤ۔ اس سے ڈرو نہیں۔ کیونکہ جس طرح تم اس سے ڈرتے ہو وہ بھی تم سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ تم اس سے بھی زیادہ ڈرپوک نہ بنو۔ حضرت مجاہد کہتے ہیں۔ میں نے پھر دوبارہ یہ دیکھا تو میں نے اس کو لاٹھی ماری یہاں تک کہ میں نے ضرب کی آواز بھی سُنی۔
Hazrat Mujahid se riwayat hai kehte hain keh mujhe shayateen waghaira ki taraf bure bure khayalat o tasawwurat aate the. Main ne Hazrat Ibn Abbas se (iss ke baare mein) poocha. To unhon ne farmaya: Tum ne jo kuch dekha hai woh mujhe bhi batao. Iss se daro nahin. Kyunki jis tarah tum iss se darte ho woh bhi tum se darte hain. Tum iss se bhi ziada darpok na bano. Hazrat Mujahid kehte hain, main ne phir dobara yeh dekha to main ne iss ko lathi maari yahan tak keh main ne zarb ki aawaz bhi suni.
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibrahim Nakha'i that he said that when one of the first people saw something undesirable in a dream, he would say: (Translation) I seek refuge in that atom from which the angels and messengers of Allah Almighty seek refuge, from the evil of everything that I saw in my dream, that it may not cause me anything in this world or the Hereafter that I do not like.
حضرت ابراہیم نخعی سے روایت ہے کہتے ہیں کہ پہلے لوگوں میں سے جب کوئی خواب کی حالت میں ناپسندیدہ چیز دیکھتا تو یہ کہتا تھا۔ (ترجمہ) میں اس ذریعہ سے پناہ پکڑتا ہوں جس ذریعہ سے اللہ تعالیٰ کے فرشتے اور رسول پناہ پکڑتے ہیں ہر اس چیز کے شر سے جو میں نے اپنی خواب میں دیکھی کہ مجھے اس کی وجہ سے کوئی ایسی بات دنیا یا آخرت میں پہنچے جس کو میں پسند نہیں کرتا۔
Hazrat Ibrahim Nakhai se riwayat hai kehte hain ke pehle logon mein se jab koi khwab ki halat mein napasandeedah cheez dekhta to yeh kehta tha. Main iss zariye se panah pakarta hun jis zariye se Allah taala ke farishte aur rasool panah pakarte hain har uss cheez ke shar se jo maine apni khwab mein dekhi ke mujhe uss ki wajah se koi aisi baat duniya ya aakhirat mein pahunche jisko main pasand nahin karta.
Hazrat Amr bin Shuaib, narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When any of you feels frightened in his sleep, he should say this." (Translation) "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His wrath and His severe punishment and from the evil of His slaves and from the evil of the devils and what they may bring (all of them)."
حضرت عمرو بن شعیب ، اپنے والد، اپنے دادا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : ” تم میں سے جب کوئی اپنی نیند میں ڈر جائے تو اس کو یہ کہنا چاہیے۔ (ترجمہ) ” میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے کلمات تامہ کے ذریعہ سے اس کے غضب اور اس کے سخت انتقام اور اس کے شریر بندوں اور شیطانوں کی شرارت اور جو کچھ یہ شیطان میرے پاس لائیں (ان سب) سے پناہ میں آتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Amr bin Shoaib apne walid apne dada se riwayat karte hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: “Tum mein se jab koi apni neend mein dar jaye to usko ye kehna chahie. (Tarjuma) “Main Allah Ta’ala ke kalimat e tama ke zariye se uske ghazab aur uske sakht inteqam aur uske sharir bandon aur shaitanon ki shararat aur jo kuch ye shaitan mere pass layen (in sab) se panah mein aata hun.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abdullah bin Abi Layla who said: When anyone amongst you feels the effects of Satan, he should look at the ground and say:'I seek refuge with Allah.'
حضرت عبد الرحمن بن ابی لیلیٰ سے روایت ہے، کہتے ہیں کہ جب تم میں سے کوئی شیطان (کے اثرات) کو محسوس کرے تو اس کو چاہیے کہ وہ زمین کو دیکھے اور اعوذ باللہ پڑھے۔
Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Abi Laila se riwayat hai, kehte hain ki jab tum mein se koi shaitan (ke asrat) ko mehsoos kare to us ko chahie ki woh zameen ko dekhe aur Aooz Billah parhe.
