What has been mentioned concerning the virtue of Quraysh.
مَا ذُكِرَ فِي فَضْلِ قُرَيْشٍ

Hazrat Abu Ja'far (R.A) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not go ahead of the Quraysh, otherwise, you will go astray, and do not stay behind the Quraysh, otherwise, you will go astray. The best of the Quraysh are the best of all people, and the worst of the Quraysh are the worst of all people. By the One in whose grip of power is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), if the Quraysh were not beside themselves, I would have told them that they are the best of all people in the sight of Allah."
حضرت ابو جعفر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : تم قریش سے آگے مت بڑھو ورنہ گمراہ ہو جاؤ گے اور قریش سے پیچھے مت رہو ورنہ گمراہ ہو جاؤ گے۔ قریش کے بہترین لوگ تمام لوگوں میں بہترین ہیں، اور قریش کے بدترین لوگ تمام لوگوں میں بدترین لوگ ہیں۔ قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جان ہے اگر قریش آپے سے باہر نہ ہوجاتے تو میں ان کو بتلاتا کہ وہ اللہ کے نزدیک سب سے بہترین ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Jaffar (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya: Tum Quresh se aage mut barho warna gumrah ho jaoge aur Quresh se peeche mut raho warna gumrah ho jaoge. Quresh ke behtarin log tamam logon mein behtarin hain, aur Quresh ke badtarin log tamam logon mein badtarin log hain. Qasam hai is zaat ki jis ke qabza qudrat mein Muhammad (SAW) ki jaan hai agar Quresh aap se bahar na hojate to mein un ko batata keh woh Allah ke qareeb sab se behtarin hain.
Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "People follow the Quraysh in good and evil."
حضرت جابر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : لوگ بھلائی اور برائی میں قریش کے تابع ہیں۔
Hazrat Jabir (RA) farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya: Log bhlai aur burai mein Quresh ke tabi hain.
Hazrat Rafa'ah (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gathered the Quraysh and said: "Is there anyone among you who is not one of you?" The people said: "No, except for our nephews, our slaves, and our allies." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Your nephews are from among you, and your allies are from among you, and your slaves are from among you. Indeed, the Quraysh are truthful and trustworthy. Whoever seeks out their faults and mistakes, Allah will cause him to fall upon his face."
حضرت رفاعہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے قریش کو جمع کیا اور فرمایا : کیا تم میں کوئی غیر تو نہیں ؟ لوگوں نے کہا : نہیں سوائے ہمارے بھانجوں کے اور ہمارے غلاموں اور حلیفوں کے ۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تمہارے بھانجے تم میں سے ہیں اور تمہارے حلیف بھی تم میں سے ہیں اور تمہارے غلام بھی تم میں سے ہیں۔ بیشک قریش سچے اور دیانت دار ہیں۔ جو شخص ان کی غلطیاں اور لغزشیں تلاش کرے گا تو اللہ اس کو اوندھے منہ گرائیں گے۔
Hazrat Rafaah (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Quresh ko jama kiya aur farmaya: kya tum mein koi ghair to nahin? Logon ne kaha: nahin siwaye hamare bhanyon ke aur hamare ghulamon aur halifon ke. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: tumhare bhanye tum mein se hain aur tumhare halif bhi tum mein se hain aur tumhare ghulam bhi tum mein se hain. Beshak Quresh sache aur diyanatdaar hain. Jo shakhs in ki ghaltiyan aur laghzishen talaash karega to Allah us ko aundhe munh girayenge.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "People follow the Quraysh in this matter. The best of the people are those who follow the best of the Quraysh, and the worst of the people are those who follow the worst of the Quraysh."
حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : لوگ اس معاملہ میں قریش کے تابع ہیں۔ لوگوں میں سے بہترین لوگ قریش کے بہترین لوگوں کے تابع ہیں۔ اور لوگوں میں بدترین لوگ قریش کے بدترین لوگوں کے تابع ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya: Log is mamle mein Quresh ke tabi hain. Logon mein se behtarin log Quresh ke behtarin logon ke tabi hain. Aur logon mein badtareen log Quresh ke badtareen logon ke tabi hain.
Hazrat Jabir bin Mut'im (R.A) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Verily, a Qurayshi is given the strength of men other than Quraysh. Imam Zuhri (R.A) was asked: What is meant by this? He (R.A) said: It means maturity of opinion.
حضرت جبیر بن مطعم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : بیشک ایک قریشی کو غیر قریشی آدمیوں کی قوت حاصل ہوتی ہے۔ امام زہری (رض) سے پوچھا گیا : اس سے کیا مراد ہے ؟ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : رائے کی پختگی مراد ہے۔
Hazrat Jubair bin Mut'im (RA) farmate hain keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya : Beshak ek Quraishi ko ghair Quraishi aadmiyon ki quwwat hasil hoti hai. Imam Zuhri (RA) se poocha gaya : Iss se kya muraad hai? Aap (RA) ne farmaya : Rai ki pakki muraad hai.
Hazrat Suhail bin Abi Hatim (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Learn from the Quraysh and do not teach them; bring the Quraysh forward and do not push them back. Surely, a Qurayshite has the strength of two non-Qurayshite men."
حضرت سھل بن ابی حثمہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : تم لوگ قریش سے سیکھو۔ ان کو سکھاؤ مت، اور قریش کو آگے کرو اور تم ان کو پیچھے مت کرو۔ یقیناً ایک قریشی کو دو غیر قریشی آدمیوں جتنی طاقت حاصل ہوتی ہے۔
Hazrat Sahl bin Abi Hatma (RA) farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya : Tum log Quraish se seekho. In ko sikhao mat, aur Quraish ko aage karo aur tum in ko peeche mat karo. Yaqinan ek Quraishi ko do ghair Quraishi aadmiyon jitni taqat hasil hoti hai.
Hazrat Zaid bin Abi Attab (R.A) narrated that Hazrat Muawiya (R.A) said while standing on the pulpit that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "People are followers of Quraysh in this matter of Khilafat. Those people of Quraysh who were the best in ignorance are also the best in Islam, provided that they understand (the religion). By Allah, if Quraysh had not gone astray, I would have told them how good they are in the sight of Allah!"
حضرت زید بن ابی عتاب (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت معاویہ (رض) نے منبر پر کھڑے ہو کر فرمایا : کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : لوگ قریش کے تابع ہیں اس معاملہ خلافت میں۔ قریش کے جو لوگ جاہلیت میں بہترین تھے وہ اسلام میں بھی بہترین ہیں جبکہ ان کو سمجھ دی گئی ہو۔ اللہ کی قسم اگر قریش آپے سے باہر نہ ہوجاتے تو میں ان کو بتلاتا کہ وہ اللہ کے نزدیک کتنے بہترین آدمی ہیں !
Hazrat Zaid bin Abi Atab (RA) farmate hain keh Hazrat Muawiya (RA) ne mimbar par kharay ho kar farmaya : keh Nabi Kareem (SAW) ne irshad farmaya : log Quresh ke tabi hain is mamle khilafat mein. Quresh ke jo log jahiliyat mein behtarin thay woh Islam mein bhi behtarin hain jabkeh un ko samajh di gayi ho. Allah ki qasam agar Quresh apay se bahar na hojate to main un ko batata keh woh Allah ke nazdeek kitne behtarin aadmi hain !
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us while we were in the house of an Ansar man. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) held both arms of the door frame and then said: The Imams will be from the Quraysh.
حضرت انس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اس حال میں کہ ہم لوگ ایک انصاری آدمی کے گھر میں تھے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دروازے کی چوکھٹ کے دونوں بازو پکڑے پھر ارشاد فرمایا : ائمہ قریش میں سے ہوں گے۔
Hazrat Anas (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) humare pass tashreef laye is haal mein keh hum log aik Ansaari aadmi ke ghar mein thay aap (SAW) ne darwaze ki chaukhat ke donon bazu pakre phir irshad farmaya : aima Quresh mein se honge.
Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was standing at a door where there was a group of Quraysh, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Indeed, this matter of Khilafat will remain with the Quraysh.
حضرت ابو موسیٰ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک دروازے پر کھڑے ہوئے جہاں قریش کا گروہ تھا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بیشک یہ خلافت کا معاملہ قریش میں ہی ہوگا۔
Hazrat Abu Musa (RA) farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (SAW) aik darwaze par khare hue jahan Quresh ka giroh tha aur aap (SAW) ne farmaya: beshak yeh khilafat ka mamla Quresh mein hi hoga.
Hazrat Abu Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the Quraysh: "Indeed, this matter of the caliphate will be among you, and you will be its guardians."
حضرت ابو مسعود (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے قریش سے فرمایا : بیشک یہ خلافت کا معاملہ تمہارے درمیان ہی ہوگا اور تم ہی نگران ہو گے۔
Hazrat Abu Masood (RA) farmate hain keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Quresh se farmaya : Beshak yeh Khilafat ka mamla tumhare darmiyan hi hoga aur tum hi nigraan ho ge.
Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The matter of Khilafat (Caliphate) will remain with the Quraysh as long as even two of them remain." Hazrat Asim (RA) stated in his narration, "He (PBUH) also moved his two fingers (while saying this)."
حضرت ابن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : خلافت کا معاملہ قریش میں رہے گا جب تک دو ولوگ بھی باقی ہوں۔ حضرت عاصم (رض) نے اپنی حدیث میں بیان کیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنی دو انگلیوں کو حرکت بھی دی۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya : Khilafat ka mamla Quresh mein rahe ga jab tak do waloo bhi baqi hon. Hazrat Asim (RA) ne apni hadees mein bayan kya. Aap (SAW) ne apni do ungliyon ko harkat bhi di.
Hazrat Saad (R.A) narrates that The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Whoever intends to insult Quraysh, Allah will humiliate him.
حضرت سعد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : جو شخص قریش کی اہانت کا ارادہ کرتا ہے تو اللہ اسے ذلیل کردیتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Saad (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Jo shakhs Quresh ki ehant ka irada karta hai to Allah usey zaleel kar dete hain.
Hazrat Abu Sadiq (R.A.) narrates that Hazrat Ali (R.A.) said: "Quraysh are the leaders of the Arabs. Their righteous people are the leaders of good deeds, and their wicked people are the leaders of wickedness."
حضرت ابو صادق (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی (رض) نے ارشاد فرمایا : قریش عرب کے سردار ہیں۔ ان کے نیک لوگ نیکو کاروں کے سردار ہیں، اور ان کے فاسق و فاجر لوگ فساق و فجار کے سردار ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Sadiq (RA) farmate hain keh Hazrat Ali (RA) ne irshad farmaya: Quresh Arab ke sardar hain. Un ke nek log nekukaron ke sardar hain, aur un ke fasiq o fajir log fusaq o fujaar ke sardar hain.
Hazrat Rabia bin Najeed (R.A) narrates that Hazrat Ali (R.A) said: Indeed, Quraysh are the leaders of Arabs. Their righteous people are the leaders of the righteous, and their wicked people are the leaders of the wicked. And everyone has a right. So you should give every right holder his right.
حضرت ربیعہ بن ناجد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی (رض) نے ارشاد فرمایا : بیشک قریش عرب کے سردار ہیں۔ اور ان کے نیک لوگ نیکوکاروں کے سردار ہیں۔ اور ان کے بد لوگ بدکاروں کے سردار ہیں۔ اور ہر ایک کا حق ہوتا ہے۔ پس تم ہر حق دار کو اس کا حق ادا کرو۔
Hazrat Rabia bin Najeed (RA) farmate hain keh Hazrat Ali (RA) ne irshad farmaya: Beshak Quresh Arab ke sardar hain. Aur un ke nek log nekukaron ke sardar hain. Aur un ke bad log badkaron ke sardar hain. Aur har ek ka haq hota hai. Pas tum har haq dar ko uska haq ada karo.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The Caliphate will be among the Quraysh, and the judiciary will be among the Ansar, and the division of the spoils of war will be in Abyssinia, and Yemen will soon be conquered.
حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : خلافت قریش میں ہوگی۔ اور قضاء انصار میں ہوگی۔ اور اذان کا شعبہ حبشہ میں ہوگا اور جلدی یمن میں ہوگی۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya: Khilafat Quresh mein hogi aur Qada Ansar mein hogi aur Azan ka shoba Habsha mein hoga aur Jaldi Yemen mein hogi.
Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair (R.A) narrates that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made this supplication for the Quraysh, "O Allah! Just as you made the former people taste the punishment, in the same way, make their latter generations taste your blessings and bounties."
حضرت عبید بن عمیر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے قریش کے لیے یوں دعا فرمائی۔ اے اللہ ! جیسے تو نے پہلے لوگوں کو عذاب چکھایا ایسے ہی تو ان کے آخری لوگوں کو اپنی نعمت اور عطاء چکھا دے۔
Hazrat Ubaid bin Umair (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne Quresh ke liye yun dua farmaai. Aye Allah! Jaise tu ne pehle logon ko azab chakhaya aise hi tu un ke aakhri logon ko apni naimat aur ataa chakha de.
Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying on the day of the conquest of Makkah, "No Qurayshi will be branded or killed after today until the Day of Judgment."
حضرت مطیع بن اسود (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے فتح مکہ کے دن رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو یہ ارشاد فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ آج کے دن کے بعد قیامت کے دن تک کسی قریشی کو نشانہ لے کر قتل نہیں کیا جائے گا۔
Hazrat Muati bin Aswad (RA) farmate hain keh maine Fath Makkah ke din Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh irshad farmate huye suna keh aaj ke din ke baad qayamat ke din tak kisi Qureshi ko nishana lekar qatal nahi kiya jayega.
Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqas (R.A) narrated that a man was killed, so it was mentioned to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), whereupon he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: May Allah keep him away from His mercy. Verily, he had malice against the Quraysh.
حضرت سعد بن ابی وقاص (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی قتل ہوگیا پس اس کے بارے میں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو بتلایا گیا : اس پر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ اس کو اپنی رحمت سے دور کرے۔ بیشک وہ قریش سے بغض رکھتا تھا۔
Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqas (RA) farmate hain ki aik aadmi qatal hogaya pas uske bare mein Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko batlaya gaya: Is par aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Allah usko apni rehmat se door kare. Beshak woh Quresh se bughz rakhta tha.
Hazrat Saeed bin Ibrahim (R.A) narrates that it reached him that Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) said: People follow the Quraysh, the righteous follow the righteous, and the wicked follow the wicked.
حضرت سعید بن ابراہیم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ان کو خبر پہنچی ہے کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : لوگ قریش کے تابع ہیں، نیکو کار نیکوکاروں کے تابع ہیں، اور بدکردار بدکاروں کے تابع ہیں۔
Hazrat Saeed bin Ibrahim (RA) farmate hain ki un ko khabar pahunchi hai ki Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Log Quresh ke tabi hain, nekukar nekukaron ke tabi hain, aur badkirar badkaron ke tabi hain.
