The share of the Prophet’s relatives, who it belongs to

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Jabir bin Mut'im that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) distributed the share of Zakat among Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib.
حضرت جبیر بن مطعم سے مروی ہے کہ آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ذوی القربیٰ کا حصہ بنو ہاشم اور بنو مطلب میں تقسیم فرمایا۔
Hazrat Jubair bin Mut'im se marvi hai keh Aanhazard (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Zwi-ul-Qurra ka hissa Banu Hashim aur Banu Muttalib mein taqsim farmaya.
Hazrat Ali (R.A) said that I submitted to Allah's Messenger (PBUH) that if you deem it appropriate, then appoint me as the trustee of our share of Khums from the book of Allah so that I can distribute it during your lifetime, so that no one disputes with me after you. He (Ali R.A) said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) did so and appointed me as its trustee. I distributed it during the lifetime of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Then Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A) appointed me as the trustee, so I distributed it during the lifetime of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A). Then Hazrat Umar (R.A) appointed me as the trustee, so I distributed it during the lifetime of Hazrat Umar (R.A). Eventually, the last year of Hazrat Umar's (R.A) caliphate arrived, and they received a lot of wealth. They separated our share and sent it to me, saying, "This is your share, take it and distribute it wherever you want." I said, "O Amir al-Mu'minin (R.A), we do not need it while the Muslims are in dire need of it." So, that year, I returned it to them. Then, after Hazrat Umar (R.A), no one called us for it until I stand here. After leaving Hazrat Umar (R.A), I met Hazrat Abbas (R.A), who said, "O Ali (R.A), you deprived us of something (the right) this morning, now it will not be given to us until the Day of Judgment." And Hazrat Abbas (R.A) was a man of excellent opinion.
حضرت علی (رض) ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا اے اللہ کے رسول ! اگر آپ مناسب سمجھیں تو کتاب اللہ کے خمس میں سے جو ہمارا حصہ ہے اس کا مجھے ولی بنادیں تاکہ میں آپ کی زندگی میں ہی اس کو تقسیم کر دوں، تاکہ آپ کے بعد کوئی مجھ سے جھگڑا نہ کرے، فرماتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے اس طرح کیا آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھے اس کا ولی بنادیا۔ میں نے آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی زندگی میں ہی اس کو تقسیم کردیا، پھر حضرت ابوبکر صدیق نے مجھے ولی بنایا تو میں نے حضرت ابوبکر صدیق (رض) کی زندگی میں ہی اس کو تقسیم کردیا۔ پھر حضرت عمر (رض) نے مجھے ولی بنایا تو میں نے حضرت عمر (رض) کی زندگی میں اس کو تقسیم کردیا۔ یہاں تک کہ حضرت عمر (رض) کے دور خلافت کا آخری سال آگیا، ان کے پاس بہت زیادہ مال آیا انھوں نے ہمارا حق الگ کر کے میری طرف ارسال کردیا اور فرمایا یہ تمہارا حق ہے یہ لے لو اور جہاں تقسیم کرنا چاہو تقسیم کرلو میں نے عرض کیا اے امیرالمومنین (رض) ہم اس سے مستغنی ہیں جب کہ مسلمانوں کو اس کی زیادہ ضرورت ہے، پس اس سال ان کو وہ واپس کردیا پھر حضرت عمر (رض) کے بعد کسی نے ہمیں اس کی طرف نہیں بلایا یہاں تک کہ میں اس مقام پر کھڑا ہوں، حضرت عمر (رض) کے پاس سے نکلنے کے بعد میری حضرت عباس (رض) سے ملاقات ہوئی انھوں نے فرمایا : اے علی (رض) آپ نے صبح ہمیں ایک چیز سے (حق سے) محروم کردیا اب قیامت تک ہمیں نہیں دیا جائے گا۔ اور حضرت عباس (رض) عمدہ رائے والے شخص تھے۔

Agar aap munasib samjhen to kitab Allah ke khums mein se jo hamara hissa hai is ka mujhe wali bana den taake main aap ki zindagi mein hi is ko taqseem kar dun, taake aap ke baad koi mujh se jhagda na kare, farmate hain keh unhon ne is tarah kiya Anhazrat (SAW) ne mujhe is ka wali bana diya. Maine Anhazrat (SAW) ki zindagi mein hi is ko taqseem kar diya, phir Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq ne mujhe wali banaya to maine Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) ki zindagi mein hi is ko taqseem kar diya. Phir Hazrat Umar (RA) ne mujhe wali banaya to maine Hazrat Umar (RA) ki zindagi mein is ko taqseem kar diya. Yahan tak keh Hazrat Umar (RA) ke daur khilafat ka aakhri saal aa gaya, un ke pass bahut zyada maal aaya unhon ne hamara haq alag kar ke meri taraf irsaal kar diya aur farmaya yeh tumhara haq hai yeh le lo aur jahan taqseem karna chaho taqseem karlo maine arz kiya aye ameerul momineen (RA) hum is se mustaghni hain jab keh Musalmanon ko is ki zyada zaroorat hai, pas is saal un ko woh wapas kar diya phir Hazrat Umar (RA) ke baad kisi ne hamein is ki taraf nahin bulaya yahan tak keh main is maqam par khada hun, Hazrat Umar (RA) ke pass se nikalne ke baad meri Hazrat Abbas (RA) se mulaqat hui unhon ne farmaya: aye Ali (RA) aap ne subah hamein ek cheez se (haq se) mehroom kar diya ab qayamat tak hamein nahin diya jaye ga. It is narrated from Hazrat Yazid bin Harmoz that Najdah wrote to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (R.A) and asked him for whom is the share of Dhu al-Qurraba? Hazrat Ibn Abbas (R.A) wrote: You wrote to me asking for whom is the share of Dhu al-Qurraba? That share is for us, then said, Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (R.A) invited us to marry our unmarried women with it and that our families be served with it and that our debtors be paid, we refused from him unless he would give us all of it. He refused to do that. So we left it for him.
حضرت یزید بن ہرمز سے مروی ہے کہ نجدہ نے حضرت ابن عباس (رض) کو لکھا اور ان سے دریافت کیا کہ ذوی القربیٰ کا حصہ کس کیلئے ہے ؟ حضرت ابن عباس (رض) نے تحریر فرمایا آپ نے مجھے لکھ کر دریافت کیا کہ ذوی القربیٰ کا حصہ کس کیلئے ہے ؟ وہ حصہ ہمارے لیے ہے، پھر فرمایا حضرت عمر بن خطاب (رض) نے ہمیں اس بات کی دعوت دی کہ ہم اس کے ساتھ اپنی بےنکاحی عورتوں کا نکاح کریں اور اس سے ہمارے خاندان کی خدمت کی جائے اور ہمارے قرض خواہوں کو ادائیگی کی جائے ہم نے اس سے انکار کردیا مگر یہ کہ وہ سب کا سب ہمیں ہی دیا جائے انھوں نے اس طرح کرنے سے انکار کردیا پس ہم نے ان کیلئے اس کو چھوڑ دیا۔
Hazrat Yazid bin Haramza se marvi hai ke Najda ne Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) ko likha aur un se daryaft kiya ke Zawi alqurba ka hissa kis ke liye hai? Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) ne tahreer farmaya aap ne mujhe likh kar daryaft kiya ke Zawi alqurba ka hissa kis ke liye hai? Woh hissa hamare liye hai, phir farmaya Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) ne hamein is baat ki dawat di ke hum is ke sath apni benikahi auraton ka nikah karen aur is se hamare khandan ki khidmat ki jaye aur hamare qarz khwahon ko adayegi ki jaye hum ne is se inkar kar diya magar ye ke woh sab ka sab hamein hi diya jaye unhon ne is tarah karne se inkar kar diya pas hum ne un ke liye is ko chhor diya.
It is narrated from Hazrat Hasan bin Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that after the death of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family), there was a disagreement among the people regarding two shares, one belonging to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) and the other belonging to the close relatives (Dhi al-Qurba). One group said that the share of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) belongs to his Caliph after him, while the other group said that the share of the close relatives belongs to the relatives of the Caliph. Then all of them agreed that they would spend both shares on horses and on preparation for Jihad.
حضرت حسن بن محمد ابن الحنفیہ (رض) سے مروی ہے کہ آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی وفات کے بعد دو حصوں سے متعلق لوگوں میں اختلاف ہوگیا، ایک اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا حصہ اور ایک ذوی القربیٰ کے حصہ کے بارے میں ایک جماعت نے کہا : اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا حصہ آپ کے بعد آپ کے خلیفہ کیلئے ہے اور دوسری جماعت نے کہا کہ ذوی القربیٰ کا حصہ خلیفہ کے رشتہ داروں کیلئے ہے، پھر سب حضرات نے اس پر اتفاق کرلیا کہ وہ ان دونوں حصوں کو گھوڑوں میں اور جہاد کی تیاری کیلئے خرچ کریں گے۔
Hazrat Hassan bin Muhammad ibne Hanfia (RA) se marvi hai ke Aanhazrat (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki wafat ke baad do hisson se mutalliq logon mein ikhtilaf hogaya, ek Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka hissa aur ek zawi alqurba ke hissa ke bare mein ek jamaat ne kaha: Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka hissa aap ke baad aap ke khalifa ke liye hai aur dusri jamaat ne kaha ke zawi alqurba ka hissa khalifa ke rishtedaron ke liye hai, phir sab hazrat ne is par ittefaq karliya ke wo in donon hisson ko ghoron mein aur jihad ki tayyari ke liye kharch karenge.
Hazrat Ata' says that when Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz became the caliph, he sent both these shares (the share of Allah's Messenger and the share of Dhul Qurba) to the Banu Hashim.
حضرت عطاء فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر بن عبدالعزیز جب خلیفہ بنے تو ان دونوں حصوں کو ( اللہ کے رسول کا حصہ اور ذوی القربیٰ کا حصہ) بنو ہاشم کیلئے بھیج دیا۔
Hazrat Ata farmate hain ke Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz jab khalifa bane to in donon hisson ko (Allah ke Rasool ka hissa aur zawi alqurba ka hissa) Banu Hashim ke liye bhej diya.
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed Muqabri that Najda wrote to Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas (R.A) and inquired about the share of Zawi Qurba. Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas (R.A) wrote in response: We think that we are the ones, but our people denied us.
حضرت سعید المقبری (رض) سے مروی ہے کہ نجدہ نے حضرت ابن عباس (رض) کو لکھ کر ذوی القربیٰ کے حصہ کے متعلق دریافت کیا ؟ حضرت ابن عباس (رض) نے جواب تحریر فرمایا : ہم لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ ہم ہی وہ ہیں لیکن ہماری قوم نے ہم پر انکار کیا۔
Hazrat Saeed almaqbri se marvi hai ke Najda ne Hazrat Ibn Abbas ko likh kar zawil qurba ke hissa ke mutaliq daryaft kiya? Hazrat Ibn Abbas ne jawab tahrir farmaya: Hum logon ka khayal hai ki hum hi wo hain lekin hamari qaum ne hum par inkar kiya.
Hazrat Hasan (R.A.) regarding the verse of the Holy Quran { لِلَّہِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِی الْقُرْبَی وَالْیَتَامَی وَالْمَسَاکِینِ وَابْنِ السَّبِیلِ } states that after the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A.) and Hazrat Umar (R.A.) did not give the share to Ahl al-Bayt. These gentlemen were of the view that this share is for the Imam, which he will spend in the way of Allah, and will spend on the poor wherever Allah guides them.
حضرت حسن (رض) قرآن کریم کی آیت { لِلَّہِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِی الْقُرْبَی وَالْیَتَامَی وَالْمَسَاکِینِ وَابْنِ السَّبِیلِ } کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں کہ آنحضرت (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی وفات کے بعد حضرت ابوبکر (رض) اور حضرت عمر (رض) نے اہل بیت کو حصہ نہیں دیا ان حضرات کا خیال تھا کہ یہ حصہ امام کے لیے ہے جس کو وہ اللہ کے راستہ میں خرچ کرے گا، اور فقراء میں خرچ کرے گا جہاں اللہ ان کی رہنمائی کرے۔
Hazrat Hassan (RA) Quran Kareem ki ayat {lillah walilrasuli walizee alqurba walyatama walmasakeeni wabnis sabeel} ke mutaliq farmate hain ke Aanhazarat (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki wafat ke baad Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) aur Hazrat Umar (RA) ne Ahle Bait ko hissa nahi diya, in hazrat ka khayal tha ke yeh hissa Imam ke liye hai jisko woh Allah ke raaste mein kharch karega, aur fuqara mein kharch karega jahan Allah unki rehnumai kare.
