Hazrat Anas narrates that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started fasting continuously. Seeing this, we also started fasting continuously. When the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to know about this, he said that if I wish, I can fast continuously for a month, then those who are strict will give up their strictness. I am not like you, my Lord feeds me and gives me drink.
حضرت انس فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صوم وصال رکھنا شروع کیا۔ اس پر ہم نے بھی صوم وصال رکھنا شروع کردیا۔ جب اس بات کی نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو اطلاع ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں ایک ماہ تک صوم وصال رکھنا چاہوں تو رکھ سکتا ہوں پھر شدت اختیار کرنے والے اپنی شدت کو چھوڑ دیں گے۔ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Anas farmate hain ke ek martaba Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne saum wisal rakhna shuru kya is par hum ne bhi saum wisal rakhna shuru kar diya jab is baat ki Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko ittila hui to aap ne farmaya ke agar main ek mah tak saum wisal rakhna chahoon to rakh sakta hun phir shiddat ikhtiyar karne wale apni shiddat ko chhor denge main tumhari tarah nahin hun mera Rab mujhe khilata hai aur pilata hai
It is narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed a continuous fast (Sawm-e-Wisal). This became known to the people, so they also started observing continuous fasts. When you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were informed, you forbade the people from doing so and said, "I am not like you. My Lord feeds me and gives me to drink."
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صوم وصال رکھا، یہ بات لوگوں کو معلوم ہوئی تو لوگوں نے بھی صوم وصال رکھنا شروع کردیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو اطلاع ہوئی تو آپ نے لوگوں کو ایسا کرنے سے منع کیا اور فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira se riwayat hai keh ek martaba Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne saum wisal rakha, yeh baat logon ko maloom hui to logon ne bhi saum wisal rakhna shuru kardiya. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko ittila hui to Aap ne logon ko aisa karne se mana kiya aur farmaya keh mein tumhari tarah nahin hun, mera Rab mujhe khilata hai aur pilata hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed consecutive fasts in Ramadan, so people also started observing consecutive fasts. You forbade the people, so someone said that you also observe consecutive fasts? You said that I am not like you. My Lord feeds me and gives me drink.
حضرت ابن عمر سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے رمضان میں صوم وصال رکھا تو لوگوں نے بھی صوم وصال رکھناشروع کردیا۔ آپ نے لوگوں کو منع فرمایا تو کسی نے کہا کہ آپ بھی تو صومِ وصال رکھتے ہیں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Ramzan mein saum wisal rakha to logon ne bhi saum wisal rakhna shuru kar diya. Aap ne logon ko mana farmaya to kisi ne kaha ki aap bhi to saum wisal rakhte hain? Aap ne farmaya ki mein tumhari tarah nahi hoon, mera Rab mujhe khilata hai aur pilata hai.
Hazrat Abu Saeed narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade fasting continuously without break. My sister observes fasts continuously and I forbid her from doing so.
حضرت ابو سعید فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صوم وصال سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ یہ میری بہن صوم وصال رکھتی ہے اور میں اسے منع کرتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed farmate hain keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Saum Wisal se mana farmaya hai. Yeh meri behen Saum Wisal rakhti hai aur mein ise mana karta hun.
Hazrat Ibn Abi Layla narrates from some companions that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade fasting continuously (without breaking the fast) and also forbade showing lethargy while fasting. You imposed this prohibition out of compassion for your companions.
حضرت ابن ابی لیلیٰ کچھ صحابہ کرام سے نقل کرتے ہیں کہ نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صوم وصال سے منع فرمایا اور روزے کی حالت میں پچھنے لگوانے سے بھی منع فرمایا۔ آپ نے یہ ممانعت اپنے صحابہ پر شفقت کرتے ہوئے فرمائی۔
Hazrat Ibn e Abi Laila kuch sahaba karam se naqal karte hain ke Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne saum wisal se mana farmaya aur rozy ki halat mein pachne lagwane se bhi mana farmaya. Aap ne ye mamanat apne sahaba per shafqat karte hue farmayi.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Qilaba that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade fasting continuously without break. The Companions submitted: Messenger of Allah, do you not observe fast continuously? He said: I am not like you, for I pass the night and my Lord gives me food and drink. If you want to observe fast (continuously), then observe it from dawn to dawn.
حضرت ابو قلابہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صوم وصال سے منع فرمایا۔ صحابہ کرام نے عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسول ! آپ بھی تو صوم وصال رکھتے ہیں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، میں رات گذارتا ہوں تو میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے۔ اگر تم نے صوم وصال رکھنا ہی ہے تو سحری سے سحری تک رکھو۔
Hazrat Abu Qalaba se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne saum wisal se mana farmaya. Sahaba kiram ne arz kiya keh aye Allah ke Rasool! Aap bhi to saum wisal rakhte hain? Aap ne farmaya keh mein tumhari tarah nahi hun, mein raat guzarta hun to mera Rabb mujhe khilata hai aur pilata hai. Agar tum ne saum wisal rakhna hi hai to sehri se sehri tak rakho.
Hazrat Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade fasting continuously without breaking it. The people asked, "But you also observe continuous fasting?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "I am not like you. My Lord gives me food and drink."
حضرت حسن فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صوم وصال سے منع فرمایا تو لوگوں نے کہا کہ آپ بھی تو صوم وصال رکھتے ہیں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Hassan farmate hain keh Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Saum Wisal se mana farmaya to logon ne kaha keh aap bhi tou Saum Wisal rakhte hain? Aap ne farmaya keh mein tumhari tarah nahi hun, mera Rab mujhe khilata hai aur pilata hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said three times: "Avoid fasting continuously (without breaking the fast at night)." The people said: "But you fast continuously?" He said: "I am not like you. I spend the night and my Lord gives me food and drink. You should only burden yourselves with acts of worship that you are able to bear."
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تین مرتبہ ارشاد فرمایا کہ صوم وصال سے بچو۔ لوگوں نے کہا کہ آپ بھی تو وصال کا روزہ رکھتے ہیں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، میں اس طرح رات گذارتا ہوں کہ میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے۔ تم ان اعمال کا خود کو مکلف بناؤ جن کی طاقت رکھتے ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne teen martaba irshad farmaya keh saum wisal se bacho. Logon ne kaha keh aap bhi tou wisal ka roza rakhte hain? Aap ne farmaya keh mein tumhari tarah nahin hun, mein is tarah raat guzarta hun keh mera Rab mujhe khilata hai aur pilata hai. Tum in amal ka khud ko mukallaf banao jin ki taqat rakhte ho.
