Abu Salama narrated that Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) used to narrate to us this hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that there is an hour on Friday..... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said that I thought to myself that if I were to go to Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), I would definitely ask him this question. So, I left from there and went to Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about it. He said that Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him) on Friday, on this day He sent him down to Earth, on this day his soul was taken, and on this day the Day of Judgment will be established. Therefore, this is the last hour. I submitted that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has said that that hour is during the time of prayer, and there is no time for prayer after Asr? He replied, "Don't you know that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has said that the one who waits for prayer is considered to be in prayer?" I said, "Why not, by Allah, that's right."

ابوسلمہ کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ ہم سے نبی کریم ﷺ کی یہ حدیث بیان کرتے تھے کہ جمعہ میں ایک ساعت آتی ہے۔۔۔۔۔۔ پھر راوی نے پوری حدیث ذکر کی اور کہا کہ میں نے سوچا واللہ اگر میں حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو ان سے یہ سوال ضرور پوچھوں گا چناچہ میں وہاں سے نکلا اور حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ کے یہاں حاضر ہوا اور ان سے اس کے متعلق پوچھا انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے جمعہ کے دن حضرت آدم علیہ السلام کو پیدا کیا اس دن انہیں زمین پر اتارا گیا اسی دن ان کی روح قبض ہوئی اسی دن قیامت قائم ہوگی لہٰذا یہ آخری ساعت ہوئی میں نے عرض کیا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ وہ ساعت نماز کے وقت ہوتی ہے اور عصر کے بعد نماز کا وقت نہیں ہوتا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کیا تمہیں یہ بات معلوم نہیں ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا نماز کا انتظار کرنے والا نماز میں ہی شمار ہوتا ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا کیوں نہیں واللہ وہی ہے۔
Abusalma kahte hain ki Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu hum se Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki ye hadees bayan karte the ki Jumma mein ek ghari aati hai..... phir ravi ne puri hadees zikar ki aur kaha ki maine socha wallahu agar main Hazrat Abusaid Khudri razi Allah anhu ki khidmat mein hazir hua to unse ye sawal zaroor puchhunga chunancha main wahan se nikla aur Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam razi Allah anhu ke yahan hazir hua aur unse iske mutalliq puchha unhon ne farmaya ki Allah Taala ne Jumma ke din Hazrat Adam alaihissalam ko paida kiya is din unhen zameen par utara gaya isi din unki rooh qabz hui isi din qayamat qaem hogi lihaza ye aakhri ghari hui maine arz kiya ki Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki woh ghari namaz ke waqt hoti hai aur Asr ke bad namaz ka waqt nahi hota? Unhon ne farmaya kya tumhen ye baat maloom nahi hai ki Nabi Karim (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya namaz ka intezar karne wala namaz mein hi shumar hota hai? Maine arz kiya kyun nahi wallahu wohi hai.
It is narrated by Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the place from here, meaning Kada, to Uhud is "Haram" which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) declared as Haram, therefore I can neither cut a tree here nor kill a bird.

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ اس جگہ یعنی کداء سے لے کر احد تک کی جگہ " حرم " ہے جسے نبی کریم ﷺ نے حرم قرار دیا ہے لہٰذا میں یہاں کوئی درخت کاٹ سکتا ہوں اور نہ کسی پرندے کو مار سکتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai keh is jagah yani Qada se le kar Uhud tak ki jagah "Haram" hai jise Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne Haram qarar diya hai lihaza mein yahan koi darakht kaat sakta hon aur na kisi parinde ko maar sakta hon.
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that once in the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I said that we find in the Book of Allah that on Friday there comes an hour in which if a Muslim finds it and he is praying, then whatever he asks Allah for, He will surely grant it. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) indicated by gesture that that hour is very short. I said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has spoken the truth. Abu Salama says that I asked Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) which hour it was? He said, “The last hour of the day.” I said, “Is it not the hour of prayer?” He said, “Why not, when a Muslim finishes praying and sits in the same place waiting for the next prayer, then he is considered to be in prayer.”

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی موجودگی میں میں نے کہا کہ ہم کتاب اللہ میں یہ پاتے ہیں کہ جمعہ کے دن ایک گھڑی ایسی آتی ہے کہ اگر وہ بندہ مسلم کو مل جائے اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہا ہو تو وہ اللہ سے جو سوال بھی کرے گا اسے وہ ضرور عطا فرمائے گا نبی کریم ﷺ نے اشارہ سے فرمایا کہ وہ ساعت بہت مختصر ہوتی ہے میں نے عرض کیا کہ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ نے سچ فرمایا۔ ابوسلمہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ وہ ساعت کون سی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ دن کی آخری ساعت میں نے عرض کیا کہ کیا وہ نماز کی ساعت نہیں ہوتی؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کیوں نہیں بندہ مسلم جب نماز پڑھ کر اسی جگہ پر بیٹھ کر اگلی نماز کا انتظار کرتا ہے تو وہ نماز ہی میں شمارہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki mojoodgi mein maine kaha ki hum kitab Allah mein yeh paate hain ki jumma ke din ek ghari aisi aati hai ki agar woh banda muslim ko mil jaye aur woh namaz parh raha ho to woh Allah se jo sawal bhi karega use woh zaroor ata farmayega Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ishara se farmaya ki woh saat bahut mukhtasar hoti hai maine arz kiya ki Allah ke Rasul (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne sach farmaya. AbuSalma kahte hain ki maine Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se poocha ki woh saat kon si hai? Unhon ne farmaya ki din ki aakhri saat mein ne arz kiya ki kya woh namaz ki saat nahi hoti? Unhon ne farmaya kyon nahi banda muslim jab namaz parh kar usi jagah par baith kar agli namaz ka intezar karta hai to woh namaz hi mein shumar hota hai.
It is narrated by Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that when I went to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), my name was not Abdullah bin Salam. My name was changed to Abdullah bin Salam by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو میرا نام عبداللہ بن سلام نہیں تھا میرا نام عبداللہ بن سلام تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے رکھا ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua to mera naam Abdullah bin Salam nahi tha mera naam Abdullah bin Salam to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne rakha hai.
It is narrated by Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey. During the journey, some people asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) What is the most virtuous deed?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "To believe in Allah, to strive in the way of Allah, and Hajj Mabrur (Hajj accepted by Allah).” Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard someone in the valley calling out, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I also bear witness to this and also bear witness that whoever bears witness to this will be free from polytheism."

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ سفر میں تھے دوران سفر کچھ لوگوں نے نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے یہ سوال پوچھا کہ یا رسول اللہ ! (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سب سے افضل عمل کون سا ہے ؟ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ اللہ پر ایمان لانا، اللہ کے راستہ میں جہاد کرنا اور حج مبرور، پھر نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے وادی میں سے کسی کو یہ نداء کرتے ہوئے سنا کہ گواہی دیتا ہوں اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں اور یہ کہ محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ، اللہ کے رسول ہیں نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا میں بھی اس کی گواہی دیتا ہوں اور یہ بھی گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ جو شخص بھی اس کی گواہی دے گا وہ شرک سے بری ہوجائے گا۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik martaba hum log Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath safar mein thay. Doran safar kuch logon ne Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se yeh sawal pucha ki Ya Rasulullah! ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) sab se afzal amal konsa hai? Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya ki Allah par iman lana, Allah ke raah mein jihad karna aur Hajj mabroor. Phir Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne wadi mein se kisi ko yeh nida karte huye suna ki gawahi deta hun Allah ke ilawa koi mabood nahin aur yeh ki Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)), Allah ke Rasool hain. Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya main bhi uski gawahi deta hun aur yeh bhi gawahi deta hun ki jo shaks bhi uski gawahi dega woh shirk se bari ho jayega.
It is narrated by Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Madinah, people began to visit him in droves. I also joined them. When I saw the blessed face of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I realized that this could not be the face of a liar. And the first words I heard from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were: "Spread peace, have mercy and pray when people are sleeping, in this way you will enter Paradise safely."

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب مدینہ منورہ تشریف لائے تو لوگ جوق در جوق ان کی خدمت میں حاضر ہونے لگے میں بھی ان میں شامل ہوگیا میں نے جب نبی کریم ﷺ کے روئے انور کو دیکھا تو میں سمجھ گیا کہ یہ کسی جھوٹے آدمی کا چہرہ نہیں ہوسکتا اور وہ سب سے پہلا کلام جو میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے سنا وہ یہ تھا کہ سلام کو پھیلاؤ، صلہ رحمی کرو اور جس وقت لوگ سو رہے ہوں تم نماز پڑھو اس طرح سلامتی کے ساتھ جنت میں داخل ہوجاؤ۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam jab Madina Munawara tashreef laye to log jok dar jok unki khidmat mein hazir hone lage mein bhi un mein shamil hogaya mein ne jab Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke roye anwar ko dekha to mein samajh gaya ki yeh kisi jhoote aadmi ka chehra nahi hosakta aur wo sab se pehla kalam jo mein ne Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam se suna wo yeh tha ki salaam ko phellao, sila rehmi karo aur jis waqt log so rahe hon tum namaz parho is tarah salamati ke sath jannat mein dakhil hojao.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I went on a journey towards Mount Tur..... then he narrated the whole Hadith. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) states that after that I met Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) so I told him about my sitting with Ka'b and also narrated the Hadith I had narrated regarding Friday. And I said that Ka'b started saying that this happens only once a year. Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) said Ka'b is mistaken, this happens every Friday. Ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) said, by Allah, in Whose Hand is the life of Abdullah bin Salam, I know that hour. I said, O Abdullah! Tell me about it too. He said, it is the last hour of Friday. I said that no one can find it during prayer (because they are forbidden at that time). He said, did you not hear the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that the one who keeps waiting for the prayer is considered to be in prayer until he prays? I said, why not, he said, then this is it.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں کوہ طور کی طرف روانہ ہوا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ پھر انہوں نے مکمل حدیث ذکر کی حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس کے بعد میری ملاقات حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے ہوئی تو میں نے انہیں کعب کے ساتھ اپنی نشست کے متعلق بتایا اور جمعہ کے دن کے حوالے سے اپنی بیان کردہ حدیث بھی بتائی اور کہا کہ کعب کہنے لگے ایسا سال بھر میں صرف ایک مرتبہ ہوتا ہے۔ حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کعب سے غلطی ہوئی ایسا ہر جمعہ میں ہوتا ہے حضرت ابن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا اس ذات کی قسم جس کے دست قدرت میں عبداللہ بن سلام کی جان ہے میں وہ گھڑی جانتا ہوں میں نے ان سے کہا کہ اے عبداللہ! مجھے بھی اس کے متعلق بتا دیجئے انہوں نے فرمایا وہ جمعہ کے دن کی آخری ساعت ہوتی ہے میں نے کہا کہ دوران نماز تو وہ کسی شخص کو نہیں مل سکتی (کیونکہ اس وقت ممنوع ہوتے ہیں) انہوں نے فرمایا کیا آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ جو شخص نماز کا انتظار کرتا رہتا ہے وہ نماز پڑھنے تک نماز ہی میں شمار ہوتا ہے؟ میں نے کہا کیوں نہیں، انہوں نے فرمایا پھر وہ یہی ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba mein Koh e Toor ki taraf rawana hua..... Phir unhon ne mukammal hadees zikar ki. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain ki uske bad meri mulaqat Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se hui to maine unhen Kaab ke sath apni nishast ke mutalliq bataya aur jumma ke din ke hawale se apni bayan kardah hadees bhi batai aur kaha ki Kaab kahne lage aisa saal bhar mein sirf ek martaba hota hai. Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya Kaab se ghalti hui aisa har jumma mein hota hai. Hazrat Ibn e Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya iss zaat ki qasam jiske dast e qudrat mein Abdullah bin Salam ki jaan hai main wo ghari janta hun. Maine unse kaha ki aye Abdullah mujhe bhi uske mutalliq bata dijiye. Unhon ne farmaya wo jumma ke din ki aakhri ساعت hoti hai. Maine kaha ki dauran e namaz to wo kisi shakhs ko nahi mil sakti (kyun k iss waqt mamnu hote hain). Unhon ne farmaya kya aap ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki jo shakhs namaz ka intezar karta rehta hai wo namaz padhne tak namaz hi mein shumar hota hai? Maine kaha kyun nahi, unhon ne farmaya phir wo yehi hai.
Qais bin 'Abbad said: Once I was in the mosque when a man entered whose face radiated humility. He prayed two short rak'ahs. People started saying, "This man is from the people of Paradise." When he left, I followed him until he entered his house. I entered his house with him and continued to talk to him. When he became comfortable with me, I said, "When you entered the mosque, people were saying this and this about you." He said, "Glory be to Allah! One should not say what one does not know. I will tell you the reason for this."
He said, "During the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, I saw a dream which I narrated to the Prophet. In the dream, I saw myself in a lush green garden, in the middle of which was an iron pillar. Its lower end was in the earth and its upper end was in the sky. On it was a rope. Someone told me to climb it. I said, 'I'm coming,' and I started climbing it until I grabbed the rope. He told me, 'Hold on to this rope firmly.'"
He continued, "When I woke up, I felt as if that rope was still in my hand. I then went to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and narrated the dream. The Prophet said, 'That garden was Islam, the pillar was Islam, and the rope was the strong rope, meaning that you are a Muslim and will remain firm on it until death.'" Qais said, "Then I found out that he was Abdullah bin Salam, may Allah be pleased with him."

قیس بن عباد کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں مسجد میں تھا کہ ایک آدمی آیا جس کے چہرے پر خشوع کے آثار واضح تھے اس نے مختصر طور پر دو رکعتیں پڑھیں لوگ کہنے لگے کہ یہ شخص اہل جنت میں سے ہے جب وہ چلا گیا تو میں بھی اس کے پیچھے روانہ ہوگیا حتیٰ کہ وہ آدمی اپنے گھر میں داخل ہوگیا میں بھی اس کے ساتھ اس کے گھر میں چلا گیا اور اس سے باتیں کرتا رہا جب وہ مجھ سے مانوس ہوگیا تو میں نے اس سے کہا کہ جب آپ مسجد میں داخل ہوئے تھے تو لوگوں نے آپ کے متعلق اس اس طرح کہا تھا اس نے کہا سبحان اللہ! انسان کو ایسی بات نہیں کہنی چاہئے جو وہ جانتا نہ ہو اور میں تمہیں اس کی وجہ بتاتا ہوں۔
میں نے عہد نبوت میں ایک خواب دیکھا تھا جو میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے سامنے بیان کردیا اس خواب میں میں نے دیکھا کہ میں ایک سرسبز و شاداب باغ میں ہوں جس کے درمیان میں لوہے کا ایک ستون ہے جس کا نچلا سرا زمین میں ہے اور اوپر والا سرا آسمان میں ہے اور اس کے اوپر ایک رسی ہے مجھے کسی نے کہا کہ اس پر چڑھ جاؤ میں نے کہا کہ اب چڑھو میں اس پر چڑھنے لگا حتیٰ کہ اس رسی کو پکڑ لیا اس نے مجھ سے کہا کہ اس رسی کو مضبوطی سے تھامے رکھنا میں جب بیدار ہوا تو یوں محسوس ہوا کہ وہ رسی اب تک میرے ہاتھ میں ہے پھر میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور یہ خواب بیان کیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ باغ اسلام کا تھا ستون اسلام کا تھا اور وہ رسی مضبوط رسی تھی جس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ تم مسلمان ہو اور موت تک اس پر قائم رہو گے قیس کہتے ہیں کہ پھر معلوم ہوا کہ وہ حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔
Qais bin Abad kehte hain ki ek martaba main masjid mein tha ki ek aadmi aaya jiske chehre par khushu ke asar wazeh thay usne mukhtasir tor par do rakatein parhin log kehne lage ki yeh shakhs ehl-e-jannat mein se hai jab woh chala gaya to main bhi uske peeche rawana hogaya hatta ki woh aadmi apne ghar mein dakhil hogaya main bhi uske sath uske ghar mein chala gaya aur usse baatein karta raha jab woh mujhse manus hogaya to mainne usse kaha ki jab aap masjid mein dakhil huye thay to logon ne aapke mutalliq is tarah kaha tha usne kaha Subhan Allah! Insaan ko aisi baat nahin kehni chahiye jo woh janta na ho aur main tumhein iski wajah batata hun.
Mainne ahd-e-nabawwat mein ek khawab dekha tha jo mainne Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke samne bayan kardiya us khawab mein mainne dekha ki main ek sar sabz o shadab bagh mein hun jiske darmiyaan mein lohe ka ek satoon hai jiska nichla sira zameen mein hai aur upar wala sira aasman mein hai aur uske upar ek rassi hai mujhe kisi ne kaha ki is par charh jao mainne kaha ki ab charhun main is par charhne laga hatta ki us rassi ko pakad liya usne mujhse kaha ki is rassi ko mazbooti se thaame rakhna main jab bedaar hua to yun mehsoos hua ki woh rassi ab tak mere hath mein hai phir main Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur yeh khawab bayan kiya Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya woh bagh Islam ka tha satoon Islam ka tha aur woh rassi mazboot rassi thi jiska matlab yeh hai ki tum Musalman ho aur mout tak is par qaem rahoge Qais kehte hain ki phir maloom hua ki woh Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (Razi Allahu Anhu) thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were discussing amongst ourselves as to who amongst us would go to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and ask him which deed was most beloved in the sight of Allah. But due to the awe of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), none of us dared to stand up. Then, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent for us one by one and gathered us all in his presence. He then recited Surah Saff in its entirety.

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ مذاکرہ کر رہے تھے کہ تم میں سے کون آدمی نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر یہ سوال کرے گا کہ اللہ کی نظروں میں سب سے پسندیدہ عمل کون سا ہے؟ لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ کی ہیبت کی وجہ سے ہم میں سے کوئی کھڑا نہ ہوا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے قاصد بھیج کر ایک ایک کر کے ہم سب کو اپنے پاس جمع کرلیا اور ہمارے سامنے سورت صف مکمل تلاوت فرمائی۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki aik martaba hum log muzakerah kar rahay thay ki tum mein se kon aadmi Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar yeh sawal kare ga ki Allah ki nazron mein sab se pasandida amal kon sa hai? Lekin Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki haibat ki wajah se hum mein se koi khara na hua to Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne qasid bhej kar aik aik kar ke hum sab ko apne pass jama karlia aur humare samne Surah Saff mukammal tilawat farmai.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba hum log muzakerah kar rahe the ki tum mein se kaun aadmi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar yeh sawal karega ki Allah ki nazron mein sab se pasendida amal kaun sa hai lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki haibat ki wajah se hum mein se koi khara na hua to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne qasid bhej kar ek ek kar ke hum sab ko apne pass jama kar liya aur humare samne Surah Saff mukمل tilawat farmai tilawat ka yeh silsila tamam rawion ne apne shagirdon tak jari rakha.
Qais ibn 'Abbad said: "One time I was in the mosque when a man entered, upon whose face the signs of piety were evident. He prayed two short rak'ahs. People started saying, 'This man is from the people of Paradise.' When he left, I followed him until he entered his house. I entered the house with him and continued to talk to him. When he became comfortable with me, I said to him, 'When you entered the mosque, people said such and such about you.' He said, 'Glory be to Allah! A person should not say what he does not know. And I will tell you why.
I saw a dream during the time of Prophethood which I narrated to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). In the dream, I saw myself in a green and lush garden, in the middle of which was an iron pillar. Its lower end was in the earth and its upper end was in the sky, and there was a rope hanging from it. Someone said to me, 'Climb it.' I said, 'I will climb it now.' I started climbing it until I grabbed hold of the rope. He said to me, 'Hold on to this rope firmly.' When I woke up, I felt as if that rope was still in my hand. Then I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and narrated this dream to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'That garden was Islam, the pillar was Islam, and that rope was the strong rope, meaning that you are a Muslim and will remain steadfast upon it until death.' Qais said, 'Then I found out that he was Abdullah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him)."

قیس بن عباد کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں مسجد میں تھا کہ ایک آدمی آیا جس کے چہرے پر خشوع کے آثار واضح تھے اس نے مختصر طور پر دو رکعتیں پڑھیں لوگ کہنے لگے کہ یہ شخص اہل جنت میں سے ہے جب وہ چلا گیا تو میں بھی اس کے پیچھے روانہ ہوگیا حتیٰ کہ وہ آدمی اپنے گھر میں داخل ہوگیا میں بھی اس کے ساتھ اس کے گھر میں چلا گیا اور اس سے باتیں کرتا رہا جب وہ مجھ سے مانوس ہوگیا تو میں نے اس سے کہا کہ جب آپ مسجد میں داخل ہوئے تھے تو لوگوں نے آپ کے متعلق اس اس طرح کہا تھا اس نے کہا سبحان اللہ! انسان کو ایسی بات نہیں کہنی چاہئے جو وہ جانتا نہ ہو اور میں تمہیں اس کی وجہ بتاتا ہوں۔
میں نے عہد نبوت میں ایک خواب دیکھا تھا جو میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے سامنے بیان کردیا اس خواب میں میں نے دیکھا کہ میں ایک سرسبز و شاداب باغ میں ہوں جس کے درمیان میں لوہے کا ایک ستون ہے جس کا نچلا سرا زمین میں ہے اور اوپر والا سرا آسمان میں ہے اور اس کے اوپر ایک رسی ہے مجھے کسی نے کہا کہ اس پر چڑھ جاؤ میں نے کہا کہ اب چڑھو میں اس پر چڑھنے لگا حتیٰ کہ اس رسی کو پکڑ لیا اس نے مجھ سے کہا کہ اس رسی کو مضبوطی سے تھامے رکھنا میں جب بیدار ہوا تو یوں محسوس ہوا کہ وہ رسی اب تک میرے ہاتھ میں ہے پھر میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور یہ خواب بیان کیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ باغ اسلام کا تھا ستون اسلام کا تھا اور وہ رسی مضبوط رسی تھی جس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ تم مسلمان ہو اور موت تک اس پر قائم رہو گے قیس کہتے ہیں کہ پھر معلوم ہوا کہ وہ حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔
Qais bin Abad kehte hain ki aik martaba main masjid mein tha ki aik aadmi aaya jiske chehre par khushu ke asar wazeh thay usne mukhtasar tor par do rakaat padhi log kehne lage ki yeh shakhs ehl-e-jannat mein se hai jab woh chala gaya to main bhi uske peeche rawana hogaya hatta ki woh aadmi apne ghar mein dakhil hogaya main bhi uske saath uske ghar mein chala gaya aur usse baaten karta raha jab woh mujhse manoos hogaya to mainne usse kaha ki jab aap masjid mein dakhil hue thay to logon ne aap ke mutalliq is is tarah kaha tha usne kaha Subhan Allah! Insaan ko aisi baat nahin kehni chahiye jo woh jaanta na ho aur main tumhen is ki wajah batata hun.
Mainne ahd-e-nabawwat mein aik khwab dekha tha jo mainne Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke samne bayan kardiya us khwab mein mainne dekha ki main aik sar sabz o shadab bagh mein hun jiske darmiyaan mein lohe ka aik satoon hai jiska nichla sira zameen mein hai aur upar wala sira aasman mein hai aur uske upar aik rassi hai mujhe kisi ne kaha ki is par chadh jao mainne kaha ki ab chadhun main is par chadhne laga hatta ki us rassi ko pakad liya usne mujhse kaha ki is rassi ko mazbooti se thaame rakhna main jab bedaar hua to yun mehsoos hua ki woh rassi ab tak mere haath mein hai phir main Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur yeh khwab bayan kiya Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya woh bagh Islam ka tha satoon Islam ka tha aur woh rassi mazboot rassi thi jiska matlab yeh hai ki tum musalman ho aur maut tak is par qa'im rahoge Qais kehte hain ki phir maloom hua ki woh Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (Razi Allah Anhu) thay.
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Once I was on my way to Mount Tur when I met Ka'b Al-Ahbar (may Allah have mercy on him). I sat with him and he began to tell me things from the Torah and I began to tell him things about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Meanwhile, I narrated this hadith to him that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The best day in which the sun rises is Friday. On this day, Adam (peace be upon him) was created, on this day he was sent down from Paradise, on this day his repentance was accepted, on this day he died, and on this day the Day of Resurrection will be established. Every animal that walks on the earth is terrified on the day of Friday at the time of sunrise, fearing that the Day of Resurrection might be established today, except for jinn and humans. And on this day, there comes a time in which if a Muslim finds himself offering prayer and asks Allah for something, Allah will surely grant it to him."
Ka'b (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "This happens once a year." I said: "No, it happens every Friday." Upon this, Ka'b opened the Torah and read it, then said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has spoken the truth." Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "After that, I met Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him), so I told him about my meeting with Ka'b and also narrated my hadith regarding the day of Friday, and said that Ka'b said that this happens once a year. Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do you know which hour that is?" I said: "No, I am doomed, please tell me." He said: "It is between Asr and Maghrib." I said: "How can this be when there is no prayer at this time?" He said: "Did you not hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that whoever waits for the prayer, he is considered to be in prayer until he prays?" I said: "Why not?" He said: "Then it is the same."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں کوہ طور کی طرف روانہ ہوا راستے میں میری ملاقات کعب احبار (رح) سے ہوگئی میں ان کے ساتھ بیٹھ گیا انہوں نے مجھے تورات کی باتیں اور میں نے انہیں نبی کریم ﷺ کی باتیں سنانا شروع کردیں اسی دوران میں نے ان سے یہ حدیث بھی بیان کی کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کا ارشاد ہے سب سے بہترین دن جس میں سورج طلوع ہوتا ہے وہ جمعہ کا دن ہے جس میں حضرت آدم علیہ السلام کو پیدا کیا گیا اسی دن انہیں جنت سے اتارا گیا اسی دن ان کی توبہ قبول ہوئی اسی دن وہ فوت ہوئے اور اسی دن قیامت قائم ہوگی اور زمین پر چلنے والا ہر جانور جمعہ کے دن طلوع آفتاب کے وقت خوفزدہ ہوجاتا ہے کہ کہیں آج ہی قیامت قائم نہ ہوجائے سوائے جن و انس کے اور اس دن میں ایک گھڑی ایسی بھی آتی ہے جو اگر کسی نماز پڑھتے ہوئے بندہ مسلم کو مل جائے اور وہ اس میں اللہ سے کچھ بھی مانگ لے اللہ اسے وہ ضرورعطاء فرماتا ہے۔
کعب (رح) کہنے لگے کہ یہ ہر سال میں مرتبہ ہوتا ہے میں نے کہا کہ نہیں ہر جمعہ میں ہوتا ہے اس پر کعب نے تورات کو کھول کر پڑھا پھر کہنے لگے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے سچ فرمایا حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس کے بعد میری ملاقات حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے ہوئی تو میں نے انہیں کعب کے ساتھ اپنی اس نشست کے متعلق بتایا اور جمعہ کے دن کے حوالے سے اپنی بیان کردہ حدیث بھی بتائی اور کہا کہ کعب کہنے لگے ایسا سال بھر میں ایک مرتبہ ہوتا ہے حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام سے ہوئی میں نے کہا کہ پھر کعب نے تورات پڑھ کر کہا کہ نہیں ایسا ہر جمعہ میں ہوتا ہے حضرت ابن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ وہ گھڑی کون سی ہے میں نے کہا نہیں میں تو ہلاک ہوگیا آپ مجھے بتا دیجئے انہوں نے فرمایا وہ عصر اور مغرب کے درمیان ہوتی ہے میں نے کہا یہ کیسے ہوسکتا ہے جبکہ اس وقت کوئی نماز نہیں ہوتی؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کیا آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ جو شخص نماز کا انتظار کرتا رہتا ہے وہ نماز پڑھنے تک نماز ہی میں شمار ہوتا ہے؟ میں نے کہا کیوں نہیں، انہوں نے فرمایا پھر وہ یہی ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba mein Koh e Toor ki taraf rawana hua raste mein meri mulaqat Kaab Ahbar (rah) se hogai mein unke sath baith gaya unhon ne mujhe Torait ki baatein aur mein ne unhein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki baatein sunana shuru kar dein isi doran mein ne unse yeh hadees bhi bayan ki ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka irshad hai sab se behtarin din jis mein Suraj talu hota hai wo Jumma ka din hai jis mein Hazrat Adam Alaihis Salam ko paida kiya gaya usi din unhein Jannat se utara gaya usi din unki tauba qubool hui usi din wo foot huye aur usi din Qayamat qaim hogi aur zameen par chalne wala har janwar Jumma ke din talu aaftab ke waqt khaufzada hojhata hai ke kahin aaj hi Qayamat qaim na hojaye siwaye jinn o ins ke aur is din mein ek ghari aisi bhi aati hai jo agar kisi namaz parhte huye banda muslim ko mil jaye aur wo is mein Allah se kuchh bhi mang le Allah use wo zarur ata farmata hai. Kaab (rah) kehne lage ke yeh har saal mein martaba hota hai mein ne kaha ke nahi har Jumma mein hota hai is par Kaab ne Torait ko khol kar parha phir kehne lage ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne sach farmaya. Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke iske baad meri mulaqat Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se hui to mein ne unhein Kaab ke sath apni is nishast ke mutalliq bataya aur Jumma ke din ke hawale se apni bayan kardah hadees bhi batai aur kaha ke Kaab kehne lage aisa saal bhar mein ek martaba hota hai Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam se hui mein ne kaha ke phir Kaab ne Torait parh kar kaha ke nahi aisa har Jumma mein hota hai. Hazrat Ibn Salam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya kya tum jante ho ke wo ghari kaun si hai mein ne kaha nahi mein to halak hogaya aap mujhe bata dijiye unhon ne farmaya wo Asar aur Maghrib ke darmiyan hoti hai mein ne kaha yeh kaise hosakta hai jabke is waqt koi namaz nahi hoti? Unhon ne farmaya kya aap ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh farmate huye suna hai ke jo shakhs namaz ka intezar karta rehta hai wo namaz parhne tak namaz hi mein shumar hota hai? Mein ne kaha kyun nahi, unhon ne farmaya phir wo yahi hai.
