It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Beware, that which destroys has come, and behind it comes another; death has come with all its hardships.”

حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا ہلا دینے والے چیز آگئی اس کے پیچھے پیچھے دوسری بھی آنے والی ہے موت اپنی تمام تر سختیوں کے ساتھ آگئی۔
Hazrat Abi bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne irshad farmaya Hila dene wali cheez agayi iske peeche peeche dusri bhi aane wali hai maut apni tamam tar sakhtiyon ke sath agayi.
Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man asked in the court of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, if I dedicate all my prayers to sending blessings upon you, what is the ruling?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "In that case, Allah Almighty will suffice you in all your worldly and hereafter affairs."

حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! یہ بتائیے کہ اگر میں اپنی ساری دعائیں آپ پر درود پڑھنے کے لئے وقف کر دوں تو کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس صورت میں اللہ تعالیٰ تمہاری دنیا و آخرت کے ہر کام میں تمہاری کفایت فرمائے گا۔
Hazrat Abi bin Kab RA se marvi hai ke ek aadmi ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah yeh bataiye ke agar mein apni sari duain aap par durood parhne ke liye waqf kar dun to kya hukum hai? Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya is surat mein Allah Ta'ala tumhari duniya o akhirat ke har kaam mein tumhari kifayat farmaye ga.
It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka’ab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: My example in comparison with the Prophets (peace be upon them) is like that of a person who built a beautiful and complete house and left the place of one brick in it. People were going around this building, amazed and saying: if only the place of this brick was also completed (then this building would have been perfect). I am like that brick among the prophets (peace be upon them).

It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “My example and the example of the Prophets before me is like that of a man who built a beautiful and complete house, but left the place of one brick. حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا قیامت کے دن میں تمام انبیاء کرام (علیہم السلام) کا امام وخطیب اور صاحب شفاعت ہوں گا اور یہ بات میں کسی فخر کے طور پر نہیں کہہ رہا۔
Hazrat Abi bin Kaab razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya qayamat ke din mein tamam anbiya kiram alaihim assalam ka imam o khateeb aur sahib shafaat hounga aur yeh baat mein kisi fakhr ke tor par nahi keh raha.
And I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, "If there had been no Hijrah (migration), I would have been one of the Ansar (residents of Medina). And if the people were to take a path and the Ansar took a different path, I would follow the path of the Ansar." (Hadith No. 21565). It is also narrated from this second chain of narration.

اور میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اگر ہجرت نہ ہوتی تو میں انصار ہی کا ایک فرد ہوتا اور اگر لوگ ایک راستے میں چلیں تو میں انصار کے ساتھ ان کے راستے پر چلوں گا۔
حدیث نمبر (٢١٥٦٥) اس دوسری سند سے بھی مروی ہے۔
aur maine nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki agar hijrat na hoti to main ansar hi ka ek fard hota aur agar log ek raste mein chalen to main ansar ke sath unke raste par chaloon ga.
hadees number (21565) is dusri sand se bhi marvi hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the roof of Masjid-e-Nabawi (Prophet’s mosque) used to be of grapevine branches, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray near a trunk and used to deliver sermons while leaning on the same trunk. One day, a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) requested, “O Messenger of Allah! Would you permit us to build something for you to stand on during Friday sermons so that the people can see you and hear your sermon clearly?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted them. Hence, they built a three-step pulpit. When the pulpit was ready and brought to the place where the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had asked them to put it, and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by that trunk with the intention of ascending the pulpit, the trunk cried so much that it cracked and split open from within. Upon seeing this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned and stroked it with his hand until it calmed down. Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ascended the pulpit. However, when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray, he would pray near it, and when the mosque was martyred and its structure was changed, Abi bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) took the trunk with him, and it remained with them until it became old and was attacked by termites, which filled it up.

حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جس وقت مسجد نبوی کی چھت انگوروں کی بیل سے بنی ہوئی تھی نبی کریم ﷺ ایک تنے کے قریب نماز پڑھتے تھے اور اسی تنے سے ٹیک لگا کر خطبہ ارشاد فرماتے تھے ایک دن ایک صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! کیا آپ اس بات کی اجازت دیتے ہیں کہ ہم آپ کے لئے کوئی ایسی چیز بنادیں جس پر آپ جمعے کے دن کھڑے ہو سکیں تاکہ لوگ آپ کو دیکھ سکیں اور آپ کے خطبے کی آواز بھی ان تک پہنچ جایا کرے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں اجازت دے دی۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے ایک منبر تین سیڑھیوں پر مشتمل بنا دیاجب منبر بن کر تیار ہوگیا اور اس جگہ پر لا کر اسے رکھ دیا گیا جہاں نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے رکھوایا اور نبی کریم ﷺ منبر پر تشریف آوری کے ارادے سے اس تنے کے آگے سے گذرے تو وہ تنا اتنا رویا کہ چٹخ گیا اور اندر سے پھٹ گیا یہ دیکھ کر نبی کریم ﷺ واپس آئے اور اس پر اپنا ہاتھ پھیرا یہاں تک کہ وہ پرسکون ہوگیا اور نبی کریم ﷺ منبر پر تشریف لے آئے البتہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب نماز پڑھتے تھے تو اس کے قریب ہی پڑھتے تھے اور جب مسجد کو شہید کر کے اس کی عمارت میں تبدیلیاں کی گئیں تو اس تنے کو حضرت ابی بن کعب اپنے ساتھ لے گئے اور وہ ان کے پاس ہی رہا یہاں تک کہ وہ پرانا ہوگیا اور اسے دیمک لگ گئی جس سے وہ بھرا بھرا ہوگیا۔

It is narrated by Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were standing in rows with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the Zuhr or Asr prayer, when it seemed as if the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was holding something. Then he started stepping back, so the people also stepped back. After finishing the prayer, Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "What did you do today that you have never done before?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Paradise was presented before me in all its glory. I wanted to pluck a bunch of grapes to give to you, but then something came in between. If it had come to me and all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth had eaten from it, it would not have diminished at all. Then Hell was presented before me. When I felt its heat, I stepped back, and I saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women. If a secret is told to them, they disclose it. If something is asked of them, they are stingy. If they ask something from someone, they are extremely insistent (and if they get it, they are not grateful). I also saw Lahi bin 'Amr there, who was dragging his intestines in Hell, and I saw that the person who resembled him the most was Mab'ad bin Aktham Ka'bi." Upon this, Mab'ad said, "O Messenger of Allah! I hope this resemblance will not harm me?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No, you are a Muslim, and he was a disbeliever, and he was the first person who gathered the Arabs on idolatry."

حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ ہم لوگ نماز ظہر یا عصر میں صف بستہ کھڑے ہوئے تھے تو ایسا محسوس ہوا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کسی چیز کو پکڑ رہے ہیں پھر وہ پیچھے ہٹنے لگے تو لوگ بھی پیچھے ہوگئے نماز سے فارغ ہو کر حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ آج تو آپ نے ایسے کیا ہے کہ اس سے پہلے کبھی نہیں کیا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا میرے سامنے جنت کو اپنی تمام تر رونقوں کے ساتھ پیش کیا گیا میں نے انگوروں کا ایک گچھا توڑنا چاہا تاکہ تمہیں دے دوں لیکن پھر کوئی چیز درمیان میں حائل ہوگئی اگر وہ میں تمہارے پاس لے آتا اور سارے آسمان و زمین والے اسے کھاتے تب بھی اس میں کوئی کمی نہ ہوتی، پھر میرے سامنے جہنم کو پیش کیا گیا جب میں نے اس کی بھڑک کو محسوس کیا تو پیچھے ہٹ گیا اور میں نے اس میں اکثریت عورتوں کی دیکھی ہے جنہیں اگر کوئی راز بتایا جائے تو اسے افشاء کردیتی ہیں کچھ مانگا جائے تو بخل سے کام لیتی ہیں خود کسی سے مانگیں تو انتہائی اصرار کرتی ہیں (مل جائے تو شکر نہیں کرتیں) میں نے وہاں لحی بن عمرو کو بھی دیکھا جو جہنم میں اپنی انتڑیاں کھینچ رہا تھا اور میں نے اس کے سب سے زیادہ مشابہہ معبد بن اکثم کعبی کو دیکھا ہے اس پر معبد کہنے لگے یا رسول اللہ! اس کی مشابہت سے مجھے کوئی نقصان پہنچنے کا اندیشہ تو نہیں؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا نہیں تم مسلمان ہو اور وہ کافر تھا اور وہ پہلا شخص تھا جس نے اہل عرب کو بت پرستی پر جمع کیا تھا۔
Hazrat Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath hum log namaz Zuhar ya Asr mein saf basta kharay huye thay to aisa mehsoos hua ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kisi cheez ko pakar rahay hain phir woh peechay hatne lage to log bhi peechay hogaye namaz se farigh ho kar Hazrat Abi bin Kaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz kiya ki aaj to aap ne aise kiya hai ki is se pehle kabhi nahin kiya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mere samne Jannat ko apni tamam tar ronakon ke sath pesh kiya gaya main ne angooron ka ek guchcha torna chaha taaki tumhen de dun lekin phir koi cheez darmiyan mein hail hogayi agar woh main tumhare pass le aata aur sare aasman o zameen wale use khate tab bhi is mein koi kami na hoti phir mere samne Jahannam ko pesh kiya gaya jab main ne is ki bhark ko mehsoos kiya to peechay hat gaya aur main ne is mein aksariyat auraton ki dekhi hai jinhen agar koi raaz bataya jaye to use ifsha kar deti hain kuch manga jaye to bukhl se kaam leti hain khud kisi se mangen to intahai israar karti hain mil jaye to shukar nahin karti main ne wahan Lahi bin Amro ko bhi dekha jo Jahannam mein apni antariyan khench raha tha aur main ne is ke sab se zyada mushabaha Maabad bin Akasam Kabhi ko dekha hai is par Maabad kehne lage Ya Rasul Allah is ki mushabahat se mujhe koi nuksan pahunchne ka andesha to nahin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya nahin tum musalman ho aur woh kafir tha aur woh pehla shakhs tha jis ne ahl Arab ko but parasti par jama kiya tha

It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka’ab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “On the Day of Judgment, I will be the leader, the deliverer of the sermon, and the intercessor of all the prophets (peace be upon them all). And I do not say this out of pride.”

حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا قیامت کے دن میں تمام انبیاء کرام (علیہم السلام) کا امام وخطیب اور صاحب شفاعت ہوں گا اور یہ بات میں کسی فخر کے طور پر نہیں کہہ رہا۔
Hazrat Abi bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne irshad farmaya qayamat ke din mein tamam ambiya kiram Alaihimussalam ka imam o khateeb aur sahib shafaat hon ga aur ye baat mein kisi fakhr ke tor par nahi keh raha.
I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "If there was no Hijrah (migration to Medina), I would have been one of the Ansar (residents of Medina). And if people were to take a path, I would take the path of the Ansar."

نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اگر ہجرت نہ ہوتی تو میں انصار ہی کا ایک فرد ہوتا اور اگر لوگ ایک راستے میں چلیں تو میں انصار کے ساتھ ان کے راستے پر چلوں گا۔
Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki agar hijrat na hoti to main Ansar hi ka ek fard hota aur agar log ek raste mein chalen to main Ansar ke sath un ke raste par chaloon ga.
حدثنا عبد الله، حدثنا محمد بن أبي بكر المقدمي ، حدثنا أبو حذيفة موسي ، عن زهير بن محمد ، عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل ، عن الطفيل بن أُبيٍّ ، عن أبيه ، أن النبي صلي الله عليه وسلم، َقَالَ: " لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ، لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ" .
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21255
It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Adhere firmly to the word of piety." The word of piety here means La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah).

حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ " والزمہم کلمۃ التقوی " میں کلمہ تقوی سے مرادلا الہ الا اللہ ہے۔
Hazrat Abi bin Kaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki unhon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh farmate huye suna hai ki "Walzamhum kalimatut taqwa" mein kalma taqwa se murad la ilaha illallah hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka’ab that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: On the Day of Judgment, I will be the leader, speaker, and intercessor of all the prophets (peace be upon them all), and I am not saying this out of pride.

اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا قیامت کے دن میں تمام انبیاء کرام (علیہم السلام) کا امام وخطیب اور صاحب شفاعت ہوں گا اور یہ بات میں کسی فخر کے طور پر نہیں کہہ رہا۔
Aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya qayamat ke din mein tamam ambiya kiram alaihim assalam ka imam wa khateeb aur sahib shafaat hon ga aur yeh baat mein kisi fakhr ke tor par nahin keh raha.
It is narrated on the authority of Abi bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the roof of Masjid-e-Nabawi was made of grape vines, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray near a trunk and used to lean on the same trunk while delivering the sermon. One day, a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) requested, "O Messenger of Allah! Would you permit us to build something for you to stand on during Friday sermons so that people can see you and hear your sermons clearly?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted them permission. So they built a three-stepped pulpit. When the pulpit was ready and brought to the place where the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had instructed it to be placed, and as the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by that trunk with the intention of ascending the pulpit, the trunk cried so much that it cracked and split open from within. Seeing this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came back and rubbed his hand over it until it calmed down, and then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ascended the pulpit. However, whenever the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered prayers, he used to pray near it. And when the mosque was demolished and its structure was changed, Abi bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) took that trunk with him, and it remained with him until it became old and was attacked by termites.

حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جس وقت مسجد نبوی کی چھت انگوروں کی بیل سے بنی ہوئی تھی نبی کریم ﷺ ایک تنے کے قریب نماز پڑھتے تھے اور اسی تنے سے ٹیک لگا کر خطبہ ارشاد فرماتے تھے ایک دن ایک صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! کیا آپ اس بات کی اجازت دیتے ہیں کہ ہم آپ کے لئے کوئی ایسی چیز بنادیں جس پر آپ جمعے کے دن کھڑے ہو سکیں تاکہ لوگ آپ کو دیکھ سکیں اور آپ کے خطبے کی آواز بھی ان تک پہنچ جایا کرے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں اجازت دے دی۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے ایک منبر تین سیڑھیوں پر مشتمل بنا دیاجب منبر بن کر تیار ہوگیا اور اس جگہ پر لا کر اسے رکھ دیا گیا جہاں نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے رکھوایا اور نبی کریم ﷺ منبر پر تشریف آوری کے ارادے سے اس تنے کے آگے سے گذرے تو وہ تنا اتنا رویا کہ چٹخ گیا اور اندر سے پھٹ گیا یہ دیکھ کر نبی کریم ﷺ واپس آئے اور اس پر اپنا ہاتھ پھیرا یہاں تک کہ وہ پرسکون ہوگیا اور نبی کریم ﷺ منبر پر تشریف لے آئے البتہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب نماز پڑھتے تھے تو اس کے قریب ہی پڑھتے تھے اور جب مسجد کو شہید کر کے اس کی عمارت میں تبدیلیاں کی گئیں تو اس تنے کو حضرت ابی بن کعب اپنے ساتھ لے گئے اور وہ ان کے پاس ہی رہا یہاں تک کہ وہ پرانا ہوگیا اور اسے دیمک لگ گئی جس سے وہ بھرا بھرا ہوگیا۔
Hazrat Abi bin Kaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki jis waqt Masjid Nabvi ki chhat anguron ki bel se bani hui thi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek tane ke kareeb namaz parhte the aur usi tane se tek laga kar khutba irshad farmate the ek din ek sahabi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah kya aap is baat ki ijazat dete hain ki hum aap ke liye koi aisi cheez bana den jis par aap jumme ke din kharay ho saken taake log aap ko dekh saken aur aap ke khutbe ki aawaz bhi un tak pahunch jaya kare Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ijazat de di chunancha unhon ne ek mimbar teen seedhiyon par mushtamil bana diya jab mimbar ban kar taiyar hogaya aur is jagah par la kar use rakh diya gaya jahan Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use rakhwaya aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mimbar par tashrif awari ke irade se us tane ke aage se guzre to woh tana itna roya ki chatakh gaya aur andar se phat gaya yeh dekh kar Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wapas aaye aur us par apna hath phehra yahan tak ki woh pur sukoon hogaya aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mimbar par tashreef le aaye albatta Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab namaz parhte the to us ke kareeb hi parhte the aur jab masjid ko shaheed kar ke us ki imarat mein tabdeelian ki gayin to us tane ko Hazrat Abi bin Kaab apne sath le gaye aur woh un ke pass hi raha yahan tak ki woh purana hogaya aur use deemak lag gayi jis se woh bhara bhara hogaya.
