Chapter on one who says Umrah is obligatory, citing the saying of Allah: 'And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah.'
باب من قال بوجوب العمرة استدلالا بقول الله تعالى وأتموا الحج والعمرة لله

Yahya bin Ya'mur reported: I said to Ibn 'Umar: O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman! Some people think that there is no such thing as predestination. He said: Is there anyone amongst them present here? I said: No. He then said: Convey this message to them from me that whenever you meet them, Ibn 'Umar disowns himself from them and they in turn are disowned from him. I heard 'Umar b. al-Khattab say while he was narrating Allah's Messenger's (ﷺ) words that we were sitting in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that a person came to him and there were no traces of journey upon him and he (the narrator) said: He was not known to any one of us, until he sat down in front of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in the form as we observe in prayer, and he placed his hands upon his knees and said: Allah's Messenger, tell me what Islam is? He (the Holy Prophet) said: You should testify the fact that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger, observe prayer, pay Zakat, perform Hajj of Ka'ba and observe fast during the month of Ramadan. He (the inquirer) said: You have spoken the truth, (and the narrator made mention of the whole hadith).

(٨٧٥٥) یحییٰ بن یعمر فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عمر (رض) سے کہا : اے ابوعبدالرحمن ! کچھ لوگ سمجھتے ہیں کہ تقدیر نہیں ہے، کہنے لگے : کیا ان میں سے کوئی ہمارے پاس ہے ؟ میں نے کہا کہ نہیں ! تو فرمایا کہ ان کو میری طرف سے یہ پیغام دینا ، جب بھی تم ان سے ملنا کہ ابن عمر تم سے اللہ کی طرف سے بری ہے اور تم اس سے بری ہو۔ میں نے عمر بن خطاب (رض) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ ایک شخص آیا، اس پر سفر کے اثرات نہ تھے۔ اور نہ ہی وہ اہل علاقہ میں سے تھا، حتیٰ کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے سامنے بیٹھ گیا، جس طرح ہم نماز میں بیٹھتے ہیں، پھر اس نے اپنے ہاتھ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے گھٹنوں پر رکھے اور پوچھا : اے محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! اسلام کیا ہے ؟ تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ تعالیٰ کے اکیلے معبود ہونے اور محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے رسول ہونے کی گواہی دینا ، نماز قائم کرنا، زکوٰۃ ادا کرنا، بیت اللہ کا حج کرنا اور عمرہ کرنا، غسلِ جنابت کرنا ، وضو مکمل کرنا اور رمضان کے روزے رکھنا۔ اس نے کہا : اگر میں یہ کروں تو کیا میں مسلمان ہوں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ہاں ! پھر اس نے کہا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سچ فرمایا ہے، (اور ساری حدیث ذکر کی)
8755 Yahya bin Ya'mar farmate hain keh maine Ibn Umar (RA) se kaha: Aye Abu-Abd-ur-Rahman! Kuch log samajhte hain keh taqdeer nahi hai, kehne lage: Kiya inn mein se koi humare pass hai? Maine kaha keh nahi! To farmaya keh inn ko meri taraf se yeh paigham dena, jab bhi tum inn se milna keh Ibn Umar tum se Allah ki taraf se bari hai aur tum uss se bari ho. Maine Umar bin Khattab (RA) ko yeh farmate huye suna keh hum Rasool Allah (SAW) ke pass baithe huye the keh ek shakhs aaya, iss par safar ke asrat na the aur na hi woh ehle ilaqa mein se tha, hatta keh Rasool Allah (SAW) ke samne baith gaya, jis tarah hum namaz mein baithte hain, phir uss ne apne hath Rasool Allah (SAW) ke ghutnon par rakhe aur poocha: Aye Muhammad (SAW)! Islam kya hai? To aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Allah Ta'ala ke akela mabood hone aur Muhammad (SAW) ke rasool hone ki gawahi dena, namaz qaim karna, zakat ada karna, Baitullah ka hajj karna aur umrah karna, ghusl-e-janabat karna, wuzu mukammal karna aur Ramzan ke roze rakhna. Uss ne kaha: Agar mein yeh karoon to kya mein musalman hoon? Aap ne farmaya: Haan! Phir uss ne kaha: Aap (SAW) ne sach farmaya hai, (aur sari hadees zikar ki).
Abu Zarrin reported: O Messenger of Allah, my father is very old and he cannot perform Hajj and Umrah, nor can he sit firmly on a riding animal. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Perform Hajj and Umrah on behalf of your father.

(٨٧٥٦) ابورزین نے کہا : اے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! میرے والد بہت بوڑھے ہیں، وہ حج و عمرہ نہیں کرسکتے اور نہ سواری پر ٹھہر سکتے ہیں، تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اپنے والد کی طرف سے حج و عمرہ کرو۔
(8756) Aburazain ne kaha: Aye Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))! Mere walid bahut buddhe hain, woh Hajj o Umrah nahin kar sakte aur na sawari par thahar sakte hain, to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Apne walid ki taraf se Hajj o Umrah karo.
Ahmad ibn Salamah said: I asked Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj about the hadith of Abu Razin, so he said: I heard Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal saying that there is no better and more authentic hadith regarding the obligation of Hajj than this, and no one has narrated it with as much elegance as Shu'bah has.

(٨٧٥٧) احمد بن سلمہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے مسلم بن حجاج سے اس ابو رزین والی حدیث کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انھوں نے کہا : میں نے امام احمد بن حنبل کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا تھا کہ عمرے کے وجوب کے بارے میں اس سے زیادہ عمدہ اور صحیح حدیث معلوم نہیں ہے اور کسی نے بھی اس قدر عمدگی سے اس کو بیان نہیں کیا جتنا کہ شعبہ نے کیا ہے۔
(8757) Ahmad bin Salma farmate hain ki maine Muslim bin Hajjaj se is Abu Raizin wali hadees ke bare mein poocha to unhon ne kaha : maine Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal ko ye farmate huye suna tha ki Umrah ke wujoob ke bare mein is se zyada umdah aur sahih hadees maloom nahin hai aur kisi ne bhi is kadar umdagi se is ko bayan nahin kiya jitna ki Shaba ne kiya hai.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Is Jihad also obligatory on women?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes! A Jihad in which there is no fighting, that is, Hajj and Umrah are their Jihad."

(٨٧٥٨) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) نے پوچھا : اے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! کیا عورتوں پر بھی جہاد فرض ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہاں ! ایسا جہاد، جس میں قتال نہیں ہے، یعنی حج و عمرہ ان کا جہاد ہے۔
(8758) Syeda Ayesha (RA) ne pucha: Aye Rasool Allah (SAW)! Kia auraton per bhi jihad farz hai? Aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Haan! Aisa jihad, jis mein qitaal nahi hai, yani Hajj o Umrah un ka jihad hai.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Hajj and 'Umrah of the elderly, the weak, and women is Jihad."

(٨٧٥٩) ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بوڑھے ، کمزور اور عورت کا جہاد حج و عمرہ ہے۔
(8759) Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: buddhe, kamzor aur aurat ka jihad Hajj o Umrah hai.
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Hajj and Umrah are both Fard (obligatory)."

(٨٧٦٠) جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : حج و عمرہ دونوں فرض وواجب ہیں۔
8760 Jaber bin Abdullah (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Hajj o Umrah dono farz wajib hain.
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: “One Hajj and one Umrah are obligatory on every Muslim who can afford it. And whatever is performed after that is better and voluntary.”

(٨٧٦٢) عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرمایا کرتے تھے کہ اللہ کی مخلوق میں سے ہر ایک پر ایک حج و عمرہ فرض ہے، جو استطاعت رکھتا ہو اور اس کے بعد جو زائد کرلے وہ بہتر اور نفل ہے۔
(8762) Abdullah bin Umar (RA) farmaya karte thay keh Allah ki makhlooq mein se har ek par ek Hajj o Umrah farz hai, jo istataat rakhta ho aur uske baad jo zaid karle woh behtar aur nafl hai.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that its indication is present in the Book of Allah: "And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah." (Al-Hajj 2:196)

(٨٧٦٤) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ اس کا قرینہ کتاب اللہ میں موجود ہے { وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَۃَ لِلَّہِ }(حج و عمرہ اللہ کے لیے مکمل کرو)
8764 ibn e abbas (raz) farmate hain ke is ka qareena kitab ullah mein mojood hai { wa atimu al hajja wa al umrata lillahi } (hajj o umrah allah ke liye mukammal karo).
(8765) A person asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), "What if someone performs Umrah before Hajj?" He replied, "Both are acts of worship to Allah, so there is no harm in starting with either."

(٨٧٦٥) ایک شخص نے ابن عباس (رض) سے پوچھا کہ کوئی شخص حج سے پہلے عمرہ کرلے تو ؟ فرمایا کہ دونوں اللہ کی عبادتیں ہیں، تو جس کے ساتھ بھی آغاز کر کوئی حرج نہیں۔
(8765) aik shakhs ne ibn abbas (RA) se poocha keh koi shakhs hajj se pehle umrah karle to? farmaya keh donon Allah ki ibadaten hain, to jis ke sath bhi aaghaz kar koi harj nahin.
Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: How is Umrah before Hajj? He said: Both are acts of worship, you can start with whichever you like.

(٨٧٦٦) زید بن ثابت (رض) سے پوچھا گیا : عمرہ حج سے پہلے کیسے ہے ؟ فرمایا : دونوں عبادتیں ہیں، جس سے مرضی آغاز کرلو۔
8766 Zaid bin Sabit (RA) se pucha gaya : Umrah Hajj se pehle kaise hai ? Farmaya : Donon ibadaten hain, jis se marzi aaghaz karlo.
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: "Perform Hajj and Umrah to the House of Allah (Ka'bah) with due diligence." He would then say: "By Allah! If it were not for the fact that I did not hear anything from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in this regard, I would say that Umrah is also obligatory like Hajj."

(٨٧٦٧) ابن مسعود (رض) فرماتے تھے : حج و عمرہ کو بیت اللہ جا کر کماحقہ ادا کرو اور پھر کہتے : اللہ کی قسم ! اگر اس بات میں حرج نہ ہوتا کہ میں نے اس بارے میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کچھ نہیں سنا تو میں کہہ دیتا کہ عمرہ بھی حج کی طرح واجب ہے۔
(8767) ibn masood (rz) farmate thy : hajj o umrah ko bait ullah ja kar kama haqqa ada karo aur phir kehty : allah ki qasam ! agar is baat mein harj na hota keh maine is bare mein rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se kuchh nahi suna to mein keh deta keh umrah bhi hajj ki tarah wajib hai.
Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that you have been commanded to establish four things: Establish prayer, pay Zakat, perform Hajj and Umrah in the House of Allah. Hajj is the greater Hajj and Umrah is the lesser Hajj.

(٨٧٦٨) عبداللہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ تمہیں چار چیزیں قائم کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا ہے : نماز قائم کرو اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرو اور حج و عمرہ قائم کرو بیت اللہ میں اور حج، حج اکبر ہے اور عمرہ حج اصغر ہے۔
(8768) Abdullah (Razi Allah Anho) farmate hain ke tumhen chaar chizen qaim karne ka hukum diya gaya hai : Namaz qaim karo aur zakat ada karo aur Hajj o Umrah qaim karo Baitullah mein aur Hajj, Hajj akbar hai aur Umrah Hajj asghar hai.
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Hajj al-Akbar (the Greater Hajj) is on the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha), and 'Umrah is Hajj al-Asghar (the Lesser Hajj)."

(٨٧٧٠) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں : حج اکبر یوم نحر کو ہے اور عمرہ حج اصغر ہے۔
(8770) Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain : Hajj akbar yaum nahar ko hai aur umrah hajj asghar hai.
(8771) Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wrote a letter to the people of Yemen, in it were the obligations, Sunnahs and blood money. And he sent it with me, and in it was this statement: 'Umrah is the minor Hajj.

(٨٧٧١) عمرو بن حزم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اہل یمن کی طرف خط لکھا ، اس میں فرائض، ، سنن اور دیات تھیں اور وہ خط مجھے دے کر بھیجا اور اس میں یہ بات تھی کہ عمرہ حج اصغر ہے۔
(8771) Amr bin Hazm (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne ahl Yemen ki taraf khat likha, is mein faraiz, sunan aur diyat thin aur wo khat mujhe de kar bheja aur is mein ye baat thi ki Umrah Hajj Asghar hai.
Malik bin Ja'sham (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delivering a sermon while standing in the valley, and he (the Prophet) said, "Umrah is included in Hajj until the Day of Resurrection."

(٨٧٧٢) مالک بن جعشم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو وادی میں کھڑے ہو کر خطبہ دیتے ہوئے سنا ، آپ فرما رہے تھے کہ عمرہ قیامت تک کے لیے حج میں داخل ہوگیا ہے۔
(8772) Malik bin Ja'sham (RA) farmate hain ke maine Rasool Allah (SAW) ko waadi mein kharay ho kar khutba dete huye suna, aap farma rahe thay ke Umrah qayamat tak ke liye Hajj mein daakhil ho gaya hai.
