باب ما جاء في موضع الوسم وفي صفة الوسم
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 13258
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by a donkey whose face was branded. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) invoked a curse saying, "May Allah curse the one who branded it."

(١٣٢٥٨) حضرت انس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ایک گدھے کے پاس سے گزرے اور اس کے چہرے پر داغا گیا تھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے بددعا کی کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اس پر لعنت کرے جس نے اس کو داغا ہے۔
(13258) Hazrat Anas (RA) se riwayat hai ki Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya : Aik gadhe ke paas se guzre aur uske chehre par daagha gaya tha, Aap (SAW) ne baddua ki keh Allah Ta'ala us par laanat kare jisne usko daagha hai.
Narrated Jabir (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw a donkey which had been branded on its face and whose nostrils had been slit. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "May Allah curse the one who did this. Did I not forbid branding on the face and striking the face?"

(١٣٢٥٩) حضرت جابر (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک گدھے کو دیکھا جس کے چہرے پر داغا گیا تھا اور اس کے نتھنے جلائے گئے تھے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ پاک اس پر لعنت کرے جس نے یہ کام کیا ہے، کیا میں نے اس سے منع نہیں کیا تھا کہ کوئی چہرے پر نہ داغے اور نہ چہرے پر مارے۔
Hazrat Jabir (RA) se riwayat hai ki Nabi (SAW) ne ek gadhe ko dekha jis ke chehre par daagha gaya tha aur uske nathne jalaye gaye the to Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Allah Pak us par lanat kare jisne ye kaam kiya hai, kya maine is se mana nahi kiya tha ki koi chehre par na daaghe aur na chehre par maare.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a donkey whose face had been branded. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) disliked it and said, "By Allah! I will brand (animals) anywhere except the face." Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that it be branded on its haunches, and it was the first donkey to be branded on its haunches.

(١٣٢٦٠) حضرت ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک گدھے کو دیکھا، جس کے چہرے پر داغا گیا تھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس بات کو ناپسند کیا اور فرمایا : اللہ کی قسم ! میں چہرے کے علاوہ کسی اور جگہ داغوں گا، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حکم دیا تو اس کے سرین پر داغ دیا گیا اور یہ پہلا گدھا تھا جس کے سرینوں پر داغا گیا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) se riwayat hai keh Nabi (SAW) ne ek gadhe ko dekha, jis ke chehre par daagh gaya tha, Aap (SAW) ne is baat ko napasand kiya aur farmaya: Allah ki qasam! mein chehre ke ilawa kisi aur jaga daagh dun ga, phir Aap (SAW) ne hukum diya to is ke sarain par daagh diya gaya aur yeh pehla gadha tha jis ke sarainon par daagh diya gaya.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) saw a donkey that had been branded on the face, and he said: "Did I not forbid [branding on the face]?" Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "There is no harm in branding anywhere other than the face." So he branded it on the rump.

(١٣٢٦١) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک گدھے کو دیکھا جس کے چہرے پر داغا گیا تھا، فرمایا : کیا میں نے منع نہیں کیا تھا ؟ ابن عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : چہرے سے دور کسی بھی جگہ داغنا جرم نہیں، پھر انھوں نے اس کے سرین پر داغا۔
13261 nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne aik gadhe ko dekha jis ke chehre par daagha gaya tha, farmaya : kya maine mana nahi kiya tha ? Ibn Abbas (RA) ne farmaya : chehre se door kisi bhi jagah daghana jurm nahi, phir unhon ne us ke sereen par daagha.
Narrated Ibn `Abbas (RA): Al-`Abbas used to brand (his slaves) on their faces. When the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade branding on the face, Ibn `Abbas said, "I do not brand (the slaves) but on the lower part of the face." The Prophet (ﷺ) then branded him on his hip.

(١٣٢٦٢) حضرت ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ عباس چہرے پر نشان لگاتے تھے، جب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے منع کیا کہ چہرے پر نہ داغا جائے تو ابن عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : میں داغ نہیں لگاتا مگر چہرے کی نچلی طرف، پھر انھوں نے اس کے سرین پر داغا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) se riwayat hai ki Abbas chehre par nishan lagate the, jab Nabi (SAW) ne mana kiya ki chehre par na daagha jaye to Ibn Abbas (RA) ne farmaya : mein daagh nahi lagata magar chehre ki nichli taraf, phir unhon ne us ke sereen par daagha.
It is narrated by Junadah bin Jarrad that I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with a camel and I had branded its nose. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Junadah! Did you not find any other part of its body to brand except its face? You will be accountable for it." He said: "The matter is up to you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Bring me another one that is not branded." So I brought him a young she-camel, the offspring of a she-camel, and a Haqqa (a unit of currency). He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Will you sell me this beautiful she-camel? I will buy it from the Sadaqah money." He said: "The matter is up to you." I took the branding iron, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Move it back," and he kept saying, "Further back, further back," until I reached its thigh, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Brand it in a blessed place." So I branded it on its thighs. Its Sadaqah was 2 Haqqas and they were worth 90.

(١٣٢٦٣) حضرت جنادہ بن جراد سے روایت ہے کہ میں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس اونٹ لے کر آیا اور میں نے اس کے ناک پر داغا تھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے جنادہ ! تجھے چہرے کے علاوہ کوئی اور عضو نہیں ملا، جس کو تو داغتا، تیرے آگے حساب کتاب ہے، اس نے کہا : معاملہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے سپرد ہے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : اور کوئی لے کر آ جس پر کوئی نشان نہ ہو، میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک ابن لبون، بنت لبون اور حقہ لے کر آیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا تو مجھے یہ خوش رنگ اونٹنی بیچے گا، میں اس کے صدقے کے مال سے خرید لوں گا، اس نے کہا : معاملہ آپ کے سپرد ہے، میں نے داغنے کا آلہ پکڑا تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : پیچھے کر اور آپ کہتے رہے اور پیچھے اور پیچھے، یہاں تک میں ران پر پہنچا تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : برکت والی جگہ پر داغ، تو میں نے اس کی رانوں پر داغا، اس کا صدقہ ٢ حقے تھے اور وہ ٩٠ تھے۔
Hazrat Janaada bin Jirad se riwayat hai ki main Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas oont lekar aaya aur maine uske naak par daagha tha, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Aye Janaada ! Tujhe chehre ke alawa koi aur uzv nahin mila, jis ko tu daaghta, tere aage hisab kitab hai, usne kaha : Mamla aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke supurd hai, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kaha : Aur koi lekar aa jis par koi nishan na ho, main aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas ek Ibn Labun, Bint Labun aur Haqa lekar aaya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Kya tu mujhe yeh khush rang oontni bechega, main iske sadqe ke maal se kharid lunga, usne kaha : Mamla aapke supurd hai, maine daaghne ka aala pakda to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Peeche kar aur aap kahte rahe aur peeche aur peeche, yahan tak main ran par pahuncha to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Barkat wali jagah par daagh, to maine uski raanon par daagha, uska sadqa 2 haqe the aur wo 90 the.
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he took his brother to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that he (the Prophet) may perform cupping on him. He then saw animals inside the enclosure with markings on them. The narrator says, “I think they were marked on their ears.”

(١٣٢٦٤) انس بن مالک (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں اپنے بھائی کو لے کر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پر داخل ہوا تاکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس کی گھٹی دیں، پس میں نے باڑے کے اندر نشان لگے ہوئے جانور دیکھے۔ راوی کہتا ہے کہ میرے خیال میں ان کے کانوں میں نشان لگائے گئے تھے۔
(13264) Anas bin Malik (RA) farmate hain ke mein apne bhai ko lekar Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) par dakhil hua takay aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) uski ghati den, pas mein ne baare ke andar nishan lage huye janwar dekhe. Rawi kehta hai ke mere khayal mein unke kaano mein nishan lagaye gaye the.
(13265) Safwan bin 'Umar said: I was at the door of 'Umar bin 'Abdul-'Aziz (rahimahullah) when a horse was brought out in front of us. On its thighs was written: "'Uddatun lillah" (equipment for the sake of Allah). The Shaikh (al-Bukhari) said: The subject of Rikaz (treasure found buried in the earth) has already been discussed in the Book of Zakat, based on what has been narrated from 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).

(١٣٢٦٥) صفوان بن عمر کہتے ہیں کہ میں عمر بن عبدالعزیز (رح) کے دروازے پر تھا کہ ہم پر ایسا گھوڑا نکلا کہ اس کے رانوں پر لکھا ہوا تھا۔ عُدَّۃٌ لِلَّہِ ۔
شیخ فرماتے ہیں : رکاز کے بارے میں حضرت علی (رض) سے جو منقول ہے اس پر کتاب الزکوۃ میں بحث گزر چکی ہے۔
Safwan bin Umar kahte hain ki main Umar bin Abduld Aziz (rh) ke darwaze par tha ki hum par aisa ghora nikla ki uske raanon par likha hua tha. Uddatun lilllahi. Sheikh farmate hain : rikaz ke bare mein Hazrat Ali (ra) se jo manqol hai us par kitab ul zakat mein bahes guzar chuki hai.
