(16926) Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a Muslim man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was sitting in the mosque and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have committed adultery." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned away from him. He came again facing him and confessed again. He confessed four times. When he had confessed four times, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, "Are you mad?" He said, "No." He asked, "Are you married?" He said, "Yes." So he said, "Go and stone him."
Zuhri said: It was narrated to me by the one who heard it from Jabir bin 'Abdullah. He said: I was one of those who stoned him. When the stones hit him, he ran away. We caught him in Harrat and stoned him.

(١٦٩٢٦) ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک مسلمان آدمی نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا۔ آپ مسجد میں بیٹھے تھے تو اس نے کہا : یا رسول ! اللہ میں نے زنا کرلیا ہے۔ آپ نے اس سے اعراض کیا۔ وہ پھر آپ کے سامنے آیا اور پھر اقرار کیا۔ اور چار مرتبہ اقرار کیا جب چار مرتبہ اقرار کرلیا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس سے پوچھا : کیا تو پاگل تو نہیں ؟ کہا : نہیں، پوچھا : شادی شدہ ہے ؟ کہا : ہاں تو فرمایا : جاؤ اسے رجم کر دو ۔
زہری کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے اس نے بتایا جس نے جابر بن عبداللہ سے سنا، وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ میں بھی پتھر مارنے والوں میں شامل تھا۔ جب اسے پتھر لگے تو وہ بھاگا، ہم نے اسے حرہ کے مقام پر پا لیا اور اسے رجم کردیا۔
(16926) Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain ki aik musalman aadmi Nabi (SAW) ke paas aaya. Aap masjid mein baithe thay to usne kaha: Ya Rasul Allah maine zina kar liya hai. Aap ne us se airaz kiya. Woh phir aap ke samne aaya aur phir iqrar kiya. Aur chaar martaba iqrar kiya jab chaar martaba iqrar kar liya to Nabi (SAW) ne us se poocha: kya tu pagal to nahin? Kaha: nahin, poocha: shadi shuda hai? Kaha: haan to farmaya: jao usay rajm kar do.
Zahiri kehte hain ki mujhe usne bataya jisne Jaber bin Abdullah se suna, woh keh rahe thay ki main bhi pathar marne walon mein shamil tha. Jab usay pathar lage to woh bhaga, hum ne usay Harrah ke maqam par pa liya aur usay rajm kar diya.
Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrated from his father that Ma'iz bin Malik came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, purify me." The Prophet said, "Woe to you! Go and seek repentance from Allah." He said this three times and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him the same reply three times. When he said it the fourth time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "From what should I purify you?" He said, "From adultery." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Are you insane?" He said, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Are you drunk?" A man stood up and smelled his breath. He was not drunk. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Are you married?" He said, "Yes." So, on the Prophet's command, he was stoned to death.
The people were divided into two groups. One group said: "Ma'iz died for a bad deed." The others said, "No one has ever repented like him, he put his hand in the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." They were sitting there when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came. He said, "Pray for forgiveness for Ma'iz." The people prayed. Then he said, "He has repented with such a repentance that if it were divided among the entire Ummah, it would suffice them all."
Then a woman from Ghamid came and she also confessed. He gave her the same reply as he had given to Ma'iz, "Go and seek repentance from Allah." She said, "Do you want to put me to trial like Ma'iz?" He asked, "What is the matter?" She replied that she was pregnant from adultery. He asked, "Are you married?" She said, "Yes." He said, "We cannot stone you until you give birth." So, a man took her into his care.
When she gave birth to the child, the man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "We cannot stone her yet. Who will nurse the child?" An Ansari man stood up and took the responsibility of nursing the child. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered her to be stoned to death.

(١٦٩٢٨) سلیمان بن بریدہ اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ماعز بن مالک نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا اور کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! مجھے پاک کردیجیے تو آپ نے فرمایا : تو برباد ہو، جا اللہ سے توبہ کرلے۔ اس نے تین مرتبہ یہی کہا آپ نے تین مرتبہ یہی جواب دیا۔ جب چوتھی بار اس نے کہا تو آپ نے پوچھا : کس چیز سے تجھے پاک کروں ؟ کہا : زنا سے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : پاگل ہے ؟ کہا : نہیں پوچھا : شراب پی ہوئی ہے ؟ ایک شخص کھڑا ہوا، منہ سونگھا۔ شراب بھی نہیں پی ہوئی تھی تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : شادی شدہ ہو ؟ کہا : ہاں تو آپ کے حکم پر اسے رجم کردیا گیا۔ لوگوں کے دو گروہ ہوگئے۔ ایک کہنے لگا : ماعز تو برے عمل پر مرا ہے۔ دوسرے کہنے لگے : اس جیسی توبہ تو کسی کی ہے ہی نہیں کہ اس نے اپنی ہاتھ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ہاتھ میں دے دیا تو وہ بیٹھے تھے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آگئے۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ماعز کے لیے استغفار کی دعا کرو، لوگوں نے دعا کی۔ پھر آپ نے فرمایا : اس نے ایسی توبہ کی ہے کہ اگر ساری امت پر تقسیم کی جائے تو سب کو کافی ہوجائے۔ پھر ایک غامدیہ عورت آئی تو اس نے بھی اقرار کیا۔ آپ نے اسے بھی ماعز والا جواب دیا کہ جا توبہ کرلے تو کہنے لگی : آپ مجھے بھی ماعز کی طرح لوٹانا چاہتے ہیں تو آپ نے پوچھا : کیا ہے ؟ جواب دیا کہ وہ زنا سے حاملہ ہے تو آپ نے پوچھا : شادی شدہ ہے ؟ کہا : ہاں تو آپ نے فرمایا : وضع حمل تک ہم تجھے رجم نہیں کرسکتے تو اس کی کفالت ایک شخص نے کی۔ جب بچہ جن دیا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس وہ شخص آیا اور آپ کو بتایا تو آپ نے فرمایا : ابھی رجم نہیں کرسکتے، بچے کی پرورش کون کرے گا تو ایک انصاری کھڑا ہوا اور بچے کی پرورش کی ذمہ داری اپنے سر لی تو آپ نے اسے رجم کردیا۔
16928 Sulaiman bin Buraidah apne walid se naql farmate hain ki Maaz bin Malik Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aaya aur kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasool! Mujhe pak kar dijiye to aap ne farmaya: Tu barbad ho, ja Allah se tauba karle. Is ne teen martaba yahi kaha aap ne teen martaba yahi jawab diya. Jab chauthi baar is ne kaha to aap ne poocha: Kis cheez se tujhe pak karoon? Kaha: Zina se to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne poocha: Pagal hai? Kaha: Nahin poocha: Sharab pi hui hai? Ek shakhs khara hua, munh songha. Sharab bhi nahin pi hui thi to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne poocha: Shadi shuda ho? Kaha: Haan to aap ke hukm par usey rajm kar diya gaya. Logon ke do giroh hogaye. Ek kahne laga: Maaz to burey amal par mara hai. Dusre kahne lage: Is jaisi tauba to kisi ki hai hi nahin ki is ne apni hath Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke hath mein de diya to woh baithey they ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aa gaye. Aap ne farmaya: Maaz ke liye istighfar ki dua karo, logon ne dua ki. Phir aap ne farmaya: Is ne aisi tauba ki hai ki agar sari ummat par taqseem ki jaye to sab ko kafi hojae. Phir ek Ghamidiyah aurat aai to is ne bhi iqrar kiya. Aap ne usey bhi Maaz wala jawab diya ki ja tauba karle to kahne lagi: Aap mujhe bhi Maaz ki tarah lautana chahte hain to aap ne poocha: Kya hai? Jawab diya ki woh zina se hamil hai to aap ne poocha: Shadi shuda hai? Kaha: Haan to aap ne farmaya: Wadah e humal tak hum tujhe rajm nahin kar sakte to us ki kifalat ek shakhs ne ki. Jab bachcha jan diya to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas woh shakhs aaya aur aap ko bataya to aap ne farmaya: Abhi rajm nahin kar sakte, bachey ki parwarish kaun karega to ek Ansaari khara hua aur bachey ki parwarish ki zimmedari apne sar li to aap ne usey rajm kar diya.
Ibn Umar narrated that a man and a woman from among the Jews committed adultery. They came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: "What do you find in the Torah regarding this?" They said: "We disgrace them and flog them." So Abdullah bin Salam said: "You are lying, bring the Torah." The punishment of stoning is in it. So they brought the Torah, and a man placed his hand on the verse of stoning and started reading what was before and after it. So Ibn Salam said: "Lift your hand." When he lifted his hand, there was the verse of stoning. So the people said: "Muhammad has spoken the truth! The verse of stoning is present." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that they be stoned, and they were stoned. Abdullah said: "I saw that man leaning over the woman to protect her from the stones."

(١٦٩٢٩) ابن عمر فرماتے ہیں کہ یہود میں سے ایک مرد و عورت نے زنا کرلیا۔ وہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آگئے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : تم توراۃ میں اس کا کیا حکم پاتے ہو ؟ کہنے لگے کہ انھیں ذلیل کریں اور کوڑے ماریں تو عبداللہ بنسلام فرمانے لگے : جھوٹ بولتے ہو، توراۃ لے آؤ۔ اس میں رجم کا حکم ہے، وہ توراۃ لے آئے اور ایک شخص آیت الرجم پر ہاتھ رکھ کر اس سے پہلے اور بعد میں پڑھنے لگا تو ابن سلام نے فرمایا : اپنا ہاتھ اٹھاؤ، جب ہاتھ اٹھایا تو وہاں رجم کی آیت تھی تو لوگ کہنے لگے : سچ ہے اے محمد ! رجم کی آیت موجود ہے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے رجم کا حکم دے دیا، انھیں رجم کیا گیا۔ عبداللہ کہتے ہیں : میں نے دیکھا کہ وہ شخص عورت پر جھک رہا تھا تاکہ اسے پتھروں سے بچالے۔
(16929) Ibne Umar farmate hain ki Yahoodi mein se ek mard wa aurat ne zina karlia. Wo Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass aaye to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne poocha: Tum Toraah mein iska kya hukum pate ho? Kehne lage ki unhein zaleel karen aur koore maaren to Abdullah bin Salam farmane lage: Jhoot bolte ho, Toraah le aao. Is mein Rajam ka hukum hai, wo Toraah le aaye aur ek shakhs Aayat ur Rajam per hath rakh kar is se pehle aur baad mein padhne laga to Ibne Salam ne farmaya: Apna hath uthao, jab hath uthaya to wahan Rajam ki ayat thi to log kehne lage: Sach hai aye Muhammad! Rajam ki ayat mojood hai to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Rajam ka hukum de diya, unhein Rajam kiya gaya. Abdullah kehte hain: Maine dekha ki wo shakhs aurat par jhuk raha tha taaki use patharon se bacha sake.
Narrated Bara' ibn 'Azib: Some people passed by the Prophet (ﷺ) with a man who had been flogged and whose face was being paraded (as a punishment). The Prophet asked the Jews, "Who is your scholar?" They said, "So-and-so." The Prophet (ﷺ) sent someone to call him. When he came, the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "What is the punishment for adultery according to your Book?" He said, "Stoning to death." But adultery became widespread among our elite, so when a prominent person committed adultery, they did not stone him. However, when a poor person committed adultery, they stoned him to death. So we now give them this punishment of flogging and blackening of the face instead of stoning." The Prophet (ﷺ) then ordered that the man be stoned to death. He was stoned to death, and then the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Allah, bear witness that I have revived one of their lost Sunnahs."

(١٦٩٣٠) براء بن عازب کہتے ہیں کہ لوگ ایک شخص کو لے کر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس سے گزرے جس کو کوڑے لگائے گئے تھے اور منہ کا لاکر کے گھمایا جا رہا تھا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے یہودیوں سے پوچھا : تمہارا عالم کون ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : فلاں تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کی طرف کسی کو بھیجا، وہ آیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا : تم اپنی کتاب میں زنا کی حد کیا پاتے ہو ؟ کہا : رجم لیکن زنا ہمارے اشراف میں پھیل گیا تو جب کوئی بڑا زنا کرتا ہے تو اسے رجم نہیں کیا جاتا اور جب کوئی غریب زنا کرے تو اسے رجم کیا جاتا ہے۔ اسے ہم رجم کے بدلے کوڑے اور منہ کالا کرنے کی سزا دیتے ہیں تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کے رجم کا حکم دے دیا۔ اسے رجم کردیا گیا اور پھر فرمایا : اے اللہ ! گواہ رہنا، میں نے ان کی ایک فوت شدہ سنت کو زندہ کیا ہے۔
16930 Bara bin Aazeb kehte hain ke log aik shakhs ko lekar Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas se guzre jis ko kore lagaye gaye the aur munh ka lakar ke ghumaya ja raha tha to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Yahudiyon se pucha: tumhara Aalim kaun hai? Unhon ne kaha: Fulan to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne us ki taraf kisi ko bheja, woh aaya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne pucha: tum apni kitab mein zina ki hadd kya pate ho? Kaha: Rajm lekin zina humare ashraf mein phail gaya to jab koi bada zina karta hai to usay Rajm nahin kiya jata aur jab koi ghareeb zina kare to usay Rajm kiya jata hai. Use hum Rajm ke badle kore aur munh kala karne ki saza dete hain to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne us ke Rajm ka hukm de diya. Use Rajm kar diya gaya aur phir farmaya: Aye Allah! Gawah rehna, maine in ki aik fot shuda sunnat ko zinda kiya hai.
Jabir bin Abdullah narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stoned to death a man from the tribe of Aslam, and a man and a woman from among the Jews.

(١٦٩٣١) جابر بن عبداللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اسلم قبیلہ کے ایک شخص اور یہود میں سے ایک مرد اور عورت کو رجم کیا۔
(16931) jabir bin abdullah farmate hain ke nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne aslam qabile ke ek shakhs aur yahood mein se ek mard aur aurat ko rajm kiya.
Abdullah bin Harith bin Juz' Zubaidi said that the Jews came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with a Jewish man and a Jewish woman. Both of them had committed adultery and both of them were married, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had them stoned to death, and I was among those who stoned them.
A similar narration has also been reported from Ibn Abbas.

(١٦٩٣٢) عبداللہ بن حارث بن جزء زبیدی کہتے ہیں کہ یہود نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک یہودی اور ایک یہودیہ کو لے کر آئے۔ دونوں نے زنا کیا تھا اور دونوں شادی شدہ تھے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کو رجم کروایا اور میں بھی رجم کرنے والوں میں تھا۔
اور ابن عباس سے بھی اسی طرح کی روایت منقول ہے۔
(16932) Abdullah bin Haris bin Juz Zubaidi kehte hain ki Yahood Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass ek Yahoodi aur ek Yahoodiya ko lekar aaye. Donon ne zina kiya tha aur donon shadi shuda the to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne in ko rajm karwaya aur main bhi rajm karne walon mein tha. Aur Ibn Abbas se bhi isi tarah ki riwayat manqol hai.
Abu Waqid al-Laythi reported: We were with Umar in Jabiya when a man came to him and said, “My wife has committed adultery with my slave, and she confesses to it.” Umar sent me and ten other men to his wife, saying, “Go and ask her.” We went to her and she was a very young woman. We said, “Your husband says such and such. We have come to ask you about it. What do you say?” She said, “He is telling the truth.” So, at the command of Umar, we stoned her to death. [Sahih].

(١٦٩٣٤) ابو واقد لیثی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم حضرت عمر کے پاس جابیہ میں تھے کہ ایک شخص آیا اور کہنے لگا : میری بیوی نے میرے غلام کے ساتھ زنا کیا ہے اور وہ اس کا اعتراف بھی کرتی ہے تو حضرت عمر نے مجھے اور دس اور لوگوں کو اس کی بیوی کے پاس بھیجا کہ جا کر اس سے پوچھ کر آئیں۔ ہم گئے تو اس کی بیوی بالکل نو عمر تھی، ہم نے اس سے کہا کہ تیرا خاوند یہ کہتا ہے اور ہم تجھ سے پوچھنے آئے ہیں، کیا کہتی ہو ؟ کہنے لگی : وہ سچ کہتا ہے تو حضرت عمر کے حکم پر ہم نے اسے پتھروں سے رجم کردیا۔ [صحیح ]
Abu Waqid Laithi kehte hain ki hum Hazrat Umar ke paas Jabiya mein thay ki aik shakhs aaya aur kehne laga meri biwi ne mere gulaam ke sath zina kiya hai aur woh iska aitraaf bhi karti hai to Hazrat Umar ne mujhe aur dus aur logon ko uski biwi ke paas bheja ki ja kar us se pooch kar aaye hum gaye to uski biwi bilkul nau umar thi humne us se kaha ki tera khawind yeh kehta hai aur hum tum se poochne aaye hain kya kehti ho kehne lagi woh sach kehta hai to Hazrat Umar ke hukum par humne use patharon se rajm kar diya sahih
Hazrat Wa'il narrates that during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a woman was raped, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) waived the punishment for the woman and punished the man who had raped her.

(١٦٩٣٥) حضرت وائل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے زمانے میں ایک عورت سے زبردستی زنا ہوا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس عورت پر سے حد ساقط کردی اور اس شخص کو جس نے اس سے زنا کیا تھا حد لگائی۔
(16935) Hazrat Wael farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke zamane mein ek aurat se zabardasti zina hua to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne us aurat par se had saqit kardi aur us shakhs ko jisne us se zina kiya tha had lagai.
