Chapter on Fasting for a Person in a State of Major Impurity

Sahih Ibn Hibban 3485
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When the call to prayer for the morning prayer is given and one of you is in a state of impurity [janabah], then he should not fast that day."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جب صبح کی نماز کا اذان ہو جائے اور تم میں سے کوئی شخص حالتِ جنابت میں ہو تو وہ اس دن روزہ نہ رکھے“۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya "Jab subah ki namaz ka azaan ho jaye aur tum mein se koi shakhs halat e janabat mein ho to woh us din roza na rakhe"
Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Bakr ibn Abdur-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham reported from his father: He heard Abu Huraira saying: "Whoever is in the state of Janabah (sexual impurity) in the morning, he should not fast." Abu Bakr and his father went to Umm Salama and Aishah, and both of them said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to be in Janabah in the morning, then he would fast." Abu Bakr and his father went to Marwan and told him, and he said: "I intended to tell you when you went to Abu Huraira." So, they went to Abu Huraira and told him, and he said: "They are more knowledgeable."
عبد الملک بن ابی بکر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن ہشام اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا: "جو صبح جنابت (جنسی نجاست) کی حالت میں ہو، وہ روزہ نہ رکھے۔" حضرت ابو بکر اور ان کے والد حضرت ام سلمہ اور حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس گئے، اور ان دونوں نے کہا: "رسول اللہ ﷺ صبح جنابت کی حالت میں ہوتے، پھر روزہ رکھتے۔" حضرت ابو بکر اور ان کے والد حضرت مروان کے پاس گئے اور ان کو بتایا، اور انہوں نے کہا: "میرا ارادہ تھا کہ جب تم حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس جاؤ تو میں تمہیں بتاؤں۔" تو وہ حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس گئے اور انہیں بتایا، اور انہوں نے کہا: "وہ زیادہ جاننے والی ہیں۔"
Abdul Malik bin Abi Bakr bin Abdur Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki unhon ne Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu ko kehte suna: "Jo subah janabat (jinsi najasat) ki halat mein ho, woh roza na rakhe." Hazrat Abu Bakr aur unke walid Hazrat Umm Salma aur Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anhuma ke pass gaye, aur un donon ne kaha: "Rasool Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam subah janabat ki halat mein hote, phir roza rakhte." Hazrat Abu Bakr aur unke walid Hazrat Marwan ke pass gaye aur unko bataya, aur unhon ne kaha: "Mera irada tha ki jab tum Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu ke pass jao to main tumhen bataun." To woh Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu ke pass gaye aur unhen bataya, aur unhon ne kaha: "Woh zyada jaanne wali hain."
Narrated Aisha, the wife of the Prophet: The Prophet ﷺ would sometimes be overtaken by dawn (daybreak) while being sexually impure (junub) from having been intimate with his wife, and he would fast (that day) after performing Ghusl.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زوجہ محترمہ، بیان کرتی ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر کبھی کبھی صبح (طلوع فجر) کی سفیدی اُس حال میں پھوٹتی جب آپ اپنی زوجہ سے صحبت کرنے کی وجہ سے حالتِ جنابت میں ہوتے، اور آپ غسل کرنے کے بعد (اُس دن) روزہ رکھتے۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha, Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki zauja muhtarima, bayan karti hain ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam par kabhi kabhi subah (tulo-e-fajar) ki safedi us hal mein phoot-ti jab aap apni zauja se subhat karne ki waja se halat-e-janabat mein hote, aur aap ghusl karne ke baad (us din) roza rakhte.
Aisha said, "Bilal used to come to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and announce the time of prayer, while he was Junub (in a state of impurity). He (the Prophet) would get up, perform Ghusl (ritual bath) and I could see the traces of water between his shoulders. Then he would pray while fasting."
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ بلال رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس اذان کہنے کے لیے آتے جبکہ آپ جنبی ہوتے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) اٹھ کر غسل فرماتے اور میں آپ کے دونوں کندھوں کے درمیان پانی کے قطروں کو دیکھتی تھی، پھر آپ روزے سے ہوتے ہوئے نماز پڑھتے۔
Ayesha raziallahu anha kehti hain keh Bilal raziallahu anhu Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke paas azaan kehne ke liye aate jabkeh aap junubi hote, aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) uth kar ghusl farmate aur main aap ke donon kandhon ke darmiyaan pani ke qatron ko dekhti thi, phir aap rozey se hote huey namaz parhte.
Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and Umm Salama, his other wife, said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to wake up in a state of sexual purity in Ramadan (after having sexual intercourse with his wives) and then fast."
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا اور حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ازواج مطہرات، بیان کرتی ہیں کہ "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رمضان میں (اپنی ازواج مطہرات سے مباشرت کے بعد) حالتِ جنابت میں ہی صبح کرتے اور پھر روزہ رکھتے۔"
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha aur Hazrat Umme Salma Radi Allaho Anha, Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ki azwaj e mutahharaat, bayan karti hain ke "Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam Ramzan mein (apni azwaj e mutahharaat se mubaashrat ke baad) halat e janabat mein hi subah karte aur phir roza rakhte."
Aisha said:
«The Prophet ﷺ would sometimes spend the night with one of his wives. Bilal would then come to him for the Fajr prayer, and he would get up and perform ablution. I would see the water dripping from his skin and hair. Then I would hear him reciting in the Fajr prayer. Then he would remain fasting.» Mutarrif said: I said to him, "Even in Ramadan?" He said, "It was all the same to him."
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ بعض اوقات اپنی کسی بیوی کے پاس رات گزارتے، پھر حضرت بلال نماز فجر کے لیے تشریف لاتے تو آپ اٹھ کر وضو فرماتے، میں آپ کی جلد اور بالوں سے پانی ٹپکتا دیکھتی، پھر میں آپ کو نماز فجر میں قرأت کرتے سنتی، پھر آپ روزہ رکھتے۔‘‘ مطلب نے کہا کہ میں نے ان سے کہا: ’’رمضان میں بھی؟‘‘ انہوں نے کہا: ’’ان کے لیے سب برابر تھا۔‘‘
Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha kehti hain ke Nabi SAW baaz auqaat apni kisi biwi ke paas raat guzarte, phir Hazrat Bilal namaz fajr ke liye tashreef laate to aap uth kar wuzu farmate, main aap ki jild aur balon se pani tapkta dekhti, phir main aap ko namaz fajr mein qirat karte sunti, phir aap roza rakhte. Matlab ne kaha ke main ne un se kaha: "Ramzan mein bhi?" Unhon ne kaha: "Un ke liye sab barabar tha."
Aisha reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) would sometimes be in the state of Janabah in the morning, and Bilal would call (the people) for prayer. He would perform ablution and observe fast. She said: I saw the drops of water trickling down his hair, and he would remain fasting the whole day. Mutrif said: I said to Shabi: In the month of Ramadan? He said: In the month of Ramadan and other (months) as well.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کبھی کبھی صبح جنابت کی حالت میں ہوتے اور حضرت بلال رضی اللہ عنہ نماز کے لیے (اذان) کہتے تو آپ وضو فرماتے اور روزہ رکھتے، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا کہ میں نے دیکھا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بالوں سے وضو کا پانی ٹپک رہا ہوتا اور آپ سارا دن روزہ رکھتے، حضرت مطرف نے کہا کہ میں نے حضرت شبی سے پوچھا کہ کیا رمضان میں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ رمضان اور دوسرے مہینوں میں بھی۔
Hazrat Aisha Radi Allahu Anha se riwayat hai keh Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam kabhi kabhi subah junubat ki halat mein hote aur Hazrat Bilal Radi Allahu Anhu namaz ke liye (azan) kehte to aap wuzu farmate aur roza rakhte, Hazrat Aisha Radi Allahu Anha ne farmaya keh maine dekha aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke baalon se wuzu ka pani tapk raha hota aur aap sara din roza rakhte, Hazrat Muarif ne kaha keh maine Hazrat Shabi se pucha keh kya Ramzan mein? Unhon ne farmaya keh Ramzan aur dusre mahinon mein bhi.
Aisha narrated that, a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, sometimes dawn comes upon me while I am in a state of impurity (Janabah), so should I fast my day?" I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Sometimes dawn comes upon me while I am in a state of impurity (Janabah), so I perform ablution, pray Fajr and fast my day." The man said, "You are not like us. Allah has forgiven you your past and future sins." The Prophet ﷺ said, "I hope that I am the most fearful of Allah among you and the most knowledgeable of you about what I should be cautious of."
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ ایک شخص نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کی کہ یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! کبھی کبھی صبح ہو جاتی ہے اور میں جنابت کی حالت میں ہوتا ہوں تو کیا میں اپنے دن کا روزہ رکھوں ؟ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ کبھی کبھی مجھ پر بھی صبح ہوتی ہے اور میں جنابت کی حالت میں ہوتا ہوں تو میں غسل کر کے نماز فجر ادا کرتا ہوں اور اپنے دن کا روزہ رکھتا ہوں ۔ اس شخص نے کہا کہ آپ ہمارے جیسے نہیں ہیں ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کی پچھلی اور آئندہ کی تمام خطائیں معاف فرما دی ہیں ۔ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ مجھے امید ہے کہ میں تم میں سب سے زیادہ اللہ سے ڈرنے والا ہوں اور مجھے اس بات کا سب سے زیادہ علم ہے کہ مجھے کن چیزوں سے بچنا چاہیے ۔
Aisha raziallahu anha bayan karti hain keh aik shakhs Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz ki keh Ya Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam! Kabhi kabhi subah ho jati hai aur main janabat ki halat mein hota hun to kya main apne din ka roza rakhun? Maine Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko farmate huye suna keh kabhi kabhi mujh par bhi subah hoti hai aur main janabat ki halat mein hota hun to main ghusl kar ke namaz fajr ada karta hun aur apne din ka roza rakhta hun. Iss shakhs ne kaha keh aap humare jaise nahi hain. Allah Ta'ala ne aap ki pichli aur aayinda ki tamam khatayen maaf farma di hain. Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya keh mujhe umeed hai keh main tum mein sab se zyada Allah se darne wala hun aur mujhe iss baat ka sab se zyada ilm hai keh mujhe kin cheezon se bachna chahiye.
Aishah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to fast continuously for periods and then he would stop continuous fasting for periods.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کبھی کبھی مسلسل روزے رکھتے تھے، پھر کچھ دنوں کے لیے مسلسل روزے رکھنا چھوڑ دیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha bayan karti hain keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam kabhi kabhi musalsal rozey rakhtay thay, phir kuch dino ke liye musalsal rozey rakhna chhor dete thay.
Aisha reported: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asking him for a religious verdict, while she was listening from behind the door. The man said, "O Messenger of Allah, sometimes the time of prayer comes while I am in the state of impurity. Should I fast (instead)?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Sometimes the time of prayer comes while I am in the state of impurity and I observe fasting." The man said, "You are not like us, O Messenger of Allah. Allah has forgiven for you your previous and future sins." The Prophet said, "By Allah, I only hope that I am the one among you with the most fear of Allah and the most knowledgeable of what I should be cautious of."
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور ان سے ایک شرعی مسئلہ کے بارے میں پوچھنے لگا جبکہ وہ دروازے کے پیچھے سن رہی تھیں۔ اس شخص نے کہا، "اللہ کے رسول! بعض اوقات نماز کا وقت ہو جاتا ہے جبکہ میں ناپاکی کی حالت میں ہوتا ہوں۔ کیا مجھے (اس کی بجائے) روزہ رکھ لینا چاہیے؟" اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "کبھی کبھی نماز کا وقت ہو جاتا ہے جبکہ میں ناپاکی کی حالت میں ہوتا ہوں اور میں روزہ رکھ لیتا ہوں۔" اس شخص نے کہا، "آپ ہمارے جیسے نہیں ہیں، اللہ کے رسول! اللہ نے آپ کی پچھلی اور آئندہ آنے والی تمام گناہوں کو معاف کر دیا ہے۔" نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "اللہ کی قسم! میں صرف یہ امید رکھتا ہوں کہ میں تم میں سے سب سے زیادہ اللہ سے ڈرنے والا اور اس بات کا سب سے زیادہ جاننے والا ہوں جس سے مجھے محتاط رہنا چاہیے۔"
Ayesha razi Allah anha se riwayat hai ki aik shakhs Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke paas aaya aur un se aik sharai masla ke bare mein puchhne laga jabke woh darwaze ke peeche sun rahi thin Iss shakhs ne kaha Ya Rasool Allah baaz auqat namaz ka waqt ho jata hai jabke main napaki ki halat mein hota hun kya mujhe iss ki bajaye roza rakh lena chahiye Allah ke Rasool sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya kabhi kabhi namaz ka waqt ho jata hai jabke main napaki ki halat mein hota hun aur main roza rakh leta hun Iss shakhs ne kaha aap humare jaise nahi hain Ya Rasool Allah Allah ne aap ki peechli aur aane wali tamam gunahon ko maaf kar diya hai Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya Allah ki qasam main sirf ye umeed rakhta hun ki main tum mein se sab se zyada Allah se darne wala aur iss baat ka sab se zyada jaanne wala hun jisse mujhe mehfooz rehna chahiye
Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, informed us: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would sometimes be in a state of Janabah (ritual impurity after intercourse) in the morning, having been intimate with his wife, and he would perform Ghusl (ritual bath) and fast."
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کبھی کبھی صبح کی حالت میں جنابت کی حالت میں ہوتے، اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ مباشرت کی وجہ سے، اور وہ غسل کر کے روزہ رکھتے تھے۔

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sometimes used to get up in the morning in the state of Janaba (sexual defilement) but not because of a wet dream and would fast on that day.
حضرت عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کبھی کبھی صبح کی حالت میں جنابت کی حالت میں اٹھتے تھے لیکن احتلام کی وجہ سے نہیں اور اس دن روزہ رکھتے تھے۔
Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa Radi Allaho Anha bayan karti hain keh Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam kabhi kabhi subah ki halat mein janabat ki halat mein uthte thay lekin ehtelam ki wajah se nahi aur us din roza rakhte thay.
Aisha and Umm Salama said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would sometimes wake up in the morning state of sexual impurity (janabah) and would then perform Ghusl and fast.
حضرت عائشہ اور ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کبھی کبھی صبح کی حالت میں جنابت کی حالت میں اٹھتے تو غسل کر کے روزہ رکھ لیتے۔
Hazrat Ayesha aur Umm Salma raziallahu anhuma bayan karti hain keh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam kabhi kabhi subah ki halat mein junabat ki halat mein uthte to ghusl kar ke roza rakh lete.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever wakes up in the morning in a state of Janabah, there is no fasting for him.” I and my father went to Umm Salama and Aisha, the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked them. They informed us that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to wake up in a state of Janabah, not because of a wet dream, and he would observe fast. We went to Marwan bin Al-Hakam and told him what they said and what Abu Hurairah had said. Marwan said, "I urge you both to go to Abu Hurairah and inform him." We met Abu Hurairah while he was at the door of the Masjid. We said to him, "The Ameer urged us about something, shall we mention it to you?" He said, "What is that?" My father narrated to him, then Abu Hurairah's face changed color and he said, "This is how Al-Fadl bin Al-'Abbas narrated it to me, and he knows better.”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "جو شخص صبح کو جنابت کی حالت میں اٹھے تو اس کا کوئی روزہ نہیں"۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ میں اور میرے والد حضرت ام سلمہ اور حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہما (یعنی رسول اللہ ﷺ کی ازواج مطہرات) کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور ان سے اس بارے میں دریافت کیا تو انھوں نے ہمیں بتایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ (کبھی کبھی) صبح کو جنابت کی حالت میں اٹھتے تھے، (البتہ) احتلام کی وجہ سے نہیں، اور آپ روزہ رکھتے تھے۔ ہم حضرت مروان بن الحکم رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس گئے اور انھیں امہات المومنین کی بات اور حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی حدیث دونوں کا حال بیان کیا۔ حضرت مروان رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: "تم دونوں واپس حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس جاؤ اور انھیں (ہماری گفتگو) سے آگاہ کرو"۔ چنانچہ ہم مسجد کے دروازے پر حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملے اور کہا کہ امیر المومنین نے ہمیں ایک چیز کے بارے میں حکم دیا ہے، کیا ہم آپ کو وہ بات بتا دیں؟ انھوں نے کہا: وہ کیا ہے؟ میرے والد نے انھیں سارا ماجرا سنایا تو ان کا چہرہ سرخ ہو گیا اور کہنے لگے کہ یہ حدیث مجھے فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس طرح بیان کی تھی اور انھیں زیادہ علم ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs subah ko junubat ki halat mein uthe to uska koi roza nahi". Rawi kehte hain ki mein aur mere walid Hazrat Umm Salma aur Hazrat Ayesha razi Allah anhuma (yani Rasul Allah SAW ki azwaj e mutahharat) ki khidmat mein hazir hue aur un se is bare mein daryaft kiya to unhon ne hamein bataya ki Rasul Allah SAW (kabhi kabhi) subah ko junubat ki halat mein uthte the, (albatta) ehtelam ki wajah se nahi, aur aap roza rakhte the. Hum Hazrat Marwan bin Al-Hakam razi Allah anhu ke paas gaye aur unhen Ummahaatul Momineen ki baat aur Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu ki hadees dono ka haal bayan kiya. Hazrat Marwan razi Allah anhu ne farmaya: "Tum dono wapas Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu ke paas jao aur unhen (hamari guftgu) se aagah karo". Chunache hum masjid ke darwaze par Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se mile aur kaha ki Ameer-ul-Momineen ne hamein ek cheez ke bare mein hukum diya hai, kya hum aap ko woh baat bata den? Unhon ne kaha: Woh kya hai? Mere walid ne unhen sara majra sunaya to unka chehra surkh ho gaya aur kehne lage ki yeh hadees mujhe Fazal bin Abbas razi Allah anhu ne is tarah bayan ki thi aur unhen zyada ilm hai.
Amr ibn Abi Umayyah, the brother of Umm Salamah's mother, said that Umm Salamah told him, "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would wake up in the state of Janabah (sexual impurity) and then fast." But Abu Hurairah contradicted his young servants.
ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے بھائی، عمرو بن ابی امیہ نے بیان کیا کہ ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے انہیں بتایا کہ "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جنابت کی حالت میں بیدار ہوتے اور پھر روزہ رکھتے۔" لیکن حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے جوان غلاموں کی اس بات کی مخالفت کی۔
Am ul momineen Umme Salma raziallahu anha ke bhai, Amr bin Abi Umayyah ne bayan kya ke Umme Salma raziallahu anha ne unhen bataya ke "Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam junabat ki halat mein bedar hote aur phir roza rakhte." Lekin Hazrat Abu Huraira raziallahu anhu ne apne jawan ghulamon ki iss baat ki mukhalfat ki.
Aisha narrated that a man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, “O Messenger of Allah, I wake up in a state of impurity from sexual intercourse and I want to fast that day.” I heard the Prophet say, “Sometimes I wake up in a state of impurity from sexual intercourse and I pray and bathe and pray the morning prayer and fast that day.” The man said, “You are not like us. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins.” The Prophet said, “Verily, I hope I am the most fearful of Allah among you and the most knowledgeable of what I should avoid in displeasing Him.”
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ ایک شخص رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کی، ''اے اللہ کے رسول! میں صبح جب (جنابت کی حالت میں) جماع سے آلودہ اٹھتا ہوں اور میرا روزہ رکھنے کا ارادہ ہوتا ہے۔'' میں نے سنا، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ''میں بھی کبھی کبھی صبح جماع کی وجہ سے حالتِ جنابت میں اٹھتا ہوں تو میں نماز پڑھ لیتا ہوں پھر غسل کر کے فجر کی نماز ادا کرتا ہوں اور روزہ بھی رکھ لیتا ہوں۔'' اس شخص نے عرض کی، ''آپ ہمارے جیسے نہیں ہیں، اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کی پچھلی اور آئندہ کی سب خطائیں معاف فرما دی ہیں۔'' آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ''مجھے امید ہے کہ تم میں سب سے زیادہ اللہ سے ڈرنے والا اور اس کی نافرمانی سے بچنے والا میں ہوں۔''
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha bayan karti hain ke aik shakhs Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz ki, ''Aye Allah ke Rasul! mein subah jab (janabat ki halat mein) jima se alooda uthta hun aur mera roza rakhne ka irada hota hai.'' mein ne suna, Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''mein bhi kabhi kabhi subah jima ki wajah se halat e janabat mein uthta hun to mein namaz parh leta hun phir gusl kar ke fajr ki namaz ada karta hun aur roza bhi rakh leta hun.'' Iss shakhs ne arz ki, ''Aap humare jaise nahin hain, Allah Ta'ala ne aap ki peechli aur aayinda ki sab khatayen maaf farma di hain.'' Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''mujhe umeed hai ke tum mein sab se zyada Allah se darne wala aur uski nafarmani se bachne wala mein hun.''
