Chapter on Highway Robbery

بَابُ قَطْعِ الطَّرِيقِ

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4467

Anas ibn Malik narrated: Eight men from the tribe of 'Ukl came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and they entered al-Madinah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded them to go to the camels of charity and drink their milk and urine. So they went and did so, then they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent a group after them and they were captured and brought back. He then ordered their hands and feet to be cut off, their eyes to be branded with heated iron rods, and they were left in the sun until they died. He did not allow their punishment to be hastened.

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ عکل قبیلے کے آٹھ آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور مدینہ میں داخل ہوئے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں صدقہ کے اونٹوں کے پاس جانے اور ان کا دودھ اور پیشاب پینے کا حکم دیا۔ چنانچہ وہ گئے اور ایسا ہی کیا، پھر انہوں نے چرواہے کو قتل کر دیا اور اونٹ ہانک کر لے گئے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے پیچھے ایک جماعت بھیجی اور وہ پکڑے گئے اور واپس لائے گئے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹنے، ان کی آنکھوں میں گرم سلاخوں سے داغنے اور انہیں دھوپ میں موت کے حوالے کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کی سزا میں جلدی نہیں کی۔

Hazrat Anas bin Malik razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Ukl qabile ke aath aadmi Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hue aur Madina mein dakhil hue. Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne unhen sadqa ke oonton ke paas jaane aur un ka doodh aur peshab pine ka hukum diya. Chunancha woh gaye aur aisa hi kiya, phir unhon ne charwahe ko qatl kar diya aur oont hank kar le gaye. Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne un ke peeche ek jamaat bheji aur woh pakre gaye aur wapas laye gaye. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne un ke haath paon katne, un ki aankhon mein garam salakhon se daghne aur unhen dhoop mein maut ke hawale karne ka hukum diya. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne un ki saza mein jaldi nahin ki.

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ ثَمَانِيَةُ نَفَرٍ مِنْ عُكْلٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاجْتَوَوَا الْمَدِينَةَ «فَأَمَرَ بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَأْتُوا إِبِلَ الصَّدَقَةِ فَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا» فَفَعَلُوا فَقَتَلُوا الرَّاعِيَ وَاسْتَاقُوا الْإِبِلَ «فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ قَافَةً فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَحْسِمْهُمْ»

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4468

Anas bin Malik narrated that a group from 'Ukl, or he said 'Uraynah, and I only know that he said, 'Ukl, came to Madinah. So the Prophet ﷺ commanded them to go to some milch camels and ordered them to drink from their urine and milk. So they drank until when they recovered, they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When the morning came, the Prophet ﷺ sent people in their pursuit. The day had not passed before they were brought, and he commanded regarding them and cut off their hands and feet, and he blinded their eyes, and they were thrown in the Harrah, asking for water but not given any. Abu Qilabah said: "These were a people who stole, killed, disbelieved after their faith, and fought Allah and His Messenger."

انَس بْنُ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سے روایت ہے کہ عکل یا فرمایا، عُرَینَہ سے کچھ لوگ مدینہ آئے، میں تو صرف اتنا جانتا ہوں کہ انہوں نے عَکْل ہی کہا تھا۔ تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں کچھ دودھ والی اونٹنیوں کی طرف جانے کا حکم دیا اور انہیں ان کا پیشاب اور دودھ پینے کا حکم دیا، چنانچہ وہ پیते رہے یہاں تک کہ جب وہ تندرست ہو گئے تو انہوں نے چرواہے کو قتل کر دیا اور اونٹنیاں چھین کر لے گئے، صبح ہوئی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے پیچھے لوگوں کو بھیجا، ابھی دن پورا بھی نہیں ہوا تھا کہ وہ پکڑ کر لائے گئے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے بارے میں حکم دیا تو ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹ دیے گئے اور ان کی آنکھیں پھوڑ دی گئیں اور انہیں حَرَّہ میں پھینک دیا گیا، وہ پانی مانگتے رہے لیکن انہیں پانی نہیں دیا گیا، ابو قلابہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ لوگ چوری کرتے تھے، قتل کرتے تھے اور ایمان لانے کے بعد کفر کرتے تھے اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑتے تھے۔

Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Aqal ya farmaya, Urainah se kuch log Madina aye, main to sirf itna janta hun ki unhon ne Aqal hi kaha tha. To Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne unhen kuch doodh wali untniyon ki taraf jane ka hukum diya aur unhen un ka peshab aur doodh pine ka hukum diya, chunancha woh pite rahe yahan tak ki jab woh tandarust ho gaye to unhon ne charwahe ko qatal kar diya aur untniyan chheen kar le gaye, subah hui to Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne un ke peechhe logon ko bheja, abhi din poora bhi nahi hua tha ki woh pakar kar laye gaye, Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne un ke bare mein hukum diya to un ke hath paon kaat diye gaye aur un ki aankhen phod di gayin aur unhen Harrah mein phenk diya gaya, woh pani mangte rahe lekin unhen pani nahi diya gaya, Abu Qilaba kahte hain ki yeh log chori karte the, qatal karte the aur imaan lane ke baad kufr karte the aur Allah aur uske Rasool se ladte the.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ بِبُسْتَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَهْطًا مِنْ عُكْلٍ أَوْ قَالَ عُرَيْنَةَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ عُكْلٍ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ «فَأَمَرَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِلِقَاحٍ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا فَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَبْوَالِهَا وَأَلْبَانِهَا» فَشَرِبُوا حَتَّى إِذَا بَرِؤُوا قَتَلُوا الرَّاعِيَ وَاسْتَاقُوا النَّعَمَ فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ غُدْوَةً فَبَعَثَ الطَّلَبَ فِي أَثَرِهِمْ فَمَا ارْتَفَعَ النَّهَارُ حَتَّى جِيءَ بِهِمْ «فَأَمَرَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَأُلْقُوا بِالْحَرَّةِ يَسْتَسْقُونَ فَلَا يَسْقُونَ» قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ «هَؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ سَرَقُوا وَقَتَلُوا وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَحَارَبُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ»

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4469

Anas bin Malik narrated that: A group of people from the tribe of 'Ukl, or he said, from 'Urainah, came to Medina and its climate did not suit them. So the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered them to go to a herd of (milch) camels and told them to drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they drank from the milk and urine till they recovered and became healthy. Then they killed the shepherd of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and drove away the camels. The news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) and he sent (men) in their pursuit and they were captured and brought by evening. He (ﷺ) then ordered to cut their hands and feet, and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron, and they were thrown over the volcanic high land (Harrah) and left there till they died of thirst and hunger. Abu Qilaba said, "Those people committed murder and theft, became disbelievers after embracing Islam, and made war against Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ).

انَس بِن مَالِک رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ سے رِوَایَت ہے کہ عُکْل یا عُرَینہ قبیلے کے کچھ لوگ مَدِینَہ آئے، انہیں یہاں کی آب و ہوا راس نہ آئی، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں کچھ دودھ والی اونٹنیوں کے پاس جانے کا حکم دیا اور فرمایا کہ ان کا دودھ اور پیشاب پیا کریں، چنانچہ وہ دودھ اور پیشاب پیتے رہے یہاں تک کہ وہ تندرست ہو گئے، پھر انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے چرواہے کو قتل کر دیا اور اونٹنیاں ہانک کر لے گئے، یہ خبر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک پہنچی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے پیچھے لوگ بھیجے، وہ انہیں پکڑ کر شام تک لے آئے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا کہ ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹ دیے جائیں اور ان کی آنکھوں میں گرم سلاخیں پھیر دی جائیں اور انہیں حَرَّہ میں پھینک دیا جائے، چنانچہ انہیں وہیں پھینک دیا گیا یہاں تک کہ وہ پیاس اور بھوک کی وجہ سے مر گئے، حضرت ابو قلابہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ان لوگوں نے قتل کیا تھا، چوری کی تھی، اسلام لانے کے بعد کافر ہو گئے تھے اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جنگ کی تھی۔

Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Ukl ya Urainah qabeele ke kuchh log Madinah aaye, unhen yahan ki aab o hawa raas na aai, to Nabi Akram Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne unhen kuchh doodh wali untniyon ke paas jaane ka hukum diya aur farmaya ki un ka doodh aur peshab piya karen, chunancha woh doodh aur peshab peete rahe yahan tak ki woh tandarust ho gaye, phir unhon ne Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke charwahe ko qatl kar diya aur untniyan hank kar le gaye, yeh khabar Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam tak pahunchi to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne un ke peechhe log bheje, woh unhen pakar kar sham tak le aaye, to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hukum diya ki un ke hath paon kaat diye jayen aur un ki aankhon mein garam salakhen phir di jayen aur unhen Harrah mein phenk diya jaye, chunancha unhen wahin phenk diya gaya yahan tak ki woh pyaas aur bhook ki wajah se mar gaye, Hazrat Abu Qilabah Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hain ki un logon ne qatl kiya tha, chori ki thi, Islam laane ke baad kafir ho gaye the aur Allah aur us ke Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se jang ki thi.

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَهْطًا مِنْ بَنِي عُكْلٍ أَوْ قَالَ مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ فَاجْتَوَوْهَا «فَأَمَرَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِلِقَاحٍ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا فَشَرِبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا حَتَّى بَرِئُوا» وَذَهَبَ سَقَمُهُمْ فَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَطَرَدُوا النَّعَمَ «فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهِمْ غُدْوَةً فَمَا ارْتَفَعَ النَّهَارُ حَتَّى جِيءَ بِهِمْ فَقُطِعَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَأُلْقُوا بِالْحَرَّةِ يَسْتَسْقُونَ فَلَا يُسْقَوْنَ» قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ «هَؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ قَتَلُوا وَسَرَقُوا وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَحَارَبُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ﷺ»

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4470

Anas ibn Malik narrated that: A group of eight men from 'Ukl came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and pledged allegiance to him embracing Islam. But they found the climate of Medina uncongenial and fell sick. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Will you not go out with our shepherd to his camels, so that you may benefit from their milk and urine?" They said, "Yes." So they went out and drank their milk and urine, and they recovered and became healthy. Then they killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and drove away the camels. When the news of what they had done reached the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), he sent men after them, and they were captured and brought to him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then ordered that their hands and feet should be cut off, their eyes should be branded with heated pieces of iron, and they should be thrown in the sun until they died.

انَس بِن مالِک رَضی اللہُ عَنہُ سے رِوایَت ہے کہ عُکل کے آٹھ آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور اِسلام لا کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھ پر بیعت کی ۔ مدینہ کا موسم اُنہیں موافق نہ آیا اور وہ بیمار ہوگئے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : تم ہمارے چرواہے کے ساتھ اُس کے اونٹوں پر کیوں نہیں چلے جاتے تاکہ تم اُن کے دودھ اور پیشاب سے فائدہ اُٹھاؤ؟ اُنہوں نے عرض کی جی ہاں ۔ چنانچہ وہ چلے گئے اور اُنہوں نے اونٹوں کا دودھ اور پیشاب استعمال کیا تو اچھے ہوگئے اور تندرست ہوگئے ۔ پھر اُنہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے چرواہے کو قتل کردیا اور اونٹ ہانک کر لے گئے ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو جب اُن کی اس حرکت کی خبر پہنچی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اُن کے پیچھے آدمی بھیجے ۔ وہ لوگ پکڑے گئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں لائے گئے ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا تو اُن کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹے گئے ، آنکھوں میں گرم سلاخیں ڈالی گئیں اور دھوپ میں ڈال دیا گیا یہاں تک کہ وہ مر گئے ۔

Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki uql ke aath aadmi Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hue aur Islam la kar aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke hath per bai't ki. Madinah ka mausam unhen muwafiq na aaya aur wo bimar ho gaye to Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: Tum humare charwahe ke sath uske oonton per kyun nahin chale jate taake tum unke doodh aur peshab se faida uthao? Unhon ne arz ki ji haan. Chunancha wo chale gaye aur unhon ne oonton ka doodh aur peshab istemal kiya to achhe ho gaye aur tandarust ho gaye. Phir unhon ne Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke charwahe ko qatl kar diya aur oont hank kar le gaye. Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko jab unki is harkat ki khabar pahunchi to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne unke peeche aadmi bheje. Wo log pakde gaye aur aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein laye gaye. Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hukum diya to unke hath paon kate gaye, aankhon mein garm salakhein dali gayin aur dhoop mein daal diya gaya yahan tak ke wo mar gaye.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ الصَّوَّافُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ قَالَ إِيَّايَ حَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنْ عُكْلٍ ثَمَانِيَةً قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَبَايَعُوهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَاسْتَوْخَمُوا الْأَرْضَ وَسَقِمَتْ أَجْسَامُهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَا تَخْرُجُونَ مَعَ رَاعِينَا فِي إِبِلِهِ فَتُصِيبُونَ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا؟ » فَقَالُوا بَلَى فَخَرَجُوا فَشَرِبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا فَصَحُّوا فَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَطَرَدُوا النَّعَمَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَبَعَثَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ فَجَلَبَهُمْ فَأَمَرَ بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَنَبَذَهُمْ فِي الشَّمْسِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4471

Anas bin Malik narrated that a group of people from Uraynah came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said to them, "If you were to go to our shepherd and stay with him, drinking the milk and urine of his flock..." They did so. When they felt better, they turned on the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and killed him. They then reverted to disbelief and stole the flock of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent men after them, and they were brought to him. He ordered that their hands and feet be cut off, and their eyes be branded.

’’حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ عرینہ کے کچھ لوگ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: اگر تم ہمارے چرواہے کے پاس چلے جاؤ اور اس کے ساتھ رہو، اس کے ریوڑ کا دودھ اور پیشاب پیو…” چنانچہ انہوں نے ایسا ہی کیا۔ جب وہ صحت یاب ہو گئے تو انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے چرواہے پر حملہ کر دیا اور اسے شہید کر دیا۔ پھر وہ مرتد ہو گئے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ریوڑ کو لوٹ کر لے گئے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے پیچھے آدمی بھیجے اور انہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لایا گیا۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا کہ ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹ دیے جائیں اور ان کی آنکھوں میں داغے دیے جائیں۔‘‘

Hazrat Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Uraine ke kuch log Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas aaye to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne unse farmaya: Agar tum hamare charwahe ke paas chale jao aur uske sath raho, uske rewar ka doodh aur peshab piyo… Chunancha unhon ne aisa hi kiya. Jab wo sehat yaab ho gaye to unhon ne Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke charwahe par hamla kar diya aur use shaheed kar diya. Phir wo murtad ho gaye aur Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke rewar ko loot kar le gaye. Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne unke peeche aadmi bheje aur unhen aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas laya gaya. To aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hukum diya ki unke hath pair kaat diye jayen aur unki aankhon mein daaghe diye jayen.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَفَرٌ مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ «لَوْ خَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى ذَوْدِنَا فَكُنْتُمْ فِيهَا فَشَرِبْتُمْ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا» فَفَعَلُوا فَلَمَّا صَحُّوا قَامُوا إِلَى رَاعِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَتَلُوهُ وَرَجَعُوا كُفَّارًا وَاسْتَاقُوا ذَوْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4472

Anas narrated that a group of people from 'Ukl or 'Uraynah came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and spoke about Islam. They said, "O Prophet of Allah! We were people of camels and not people of the land." They found the climate of Medina unwholesome. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, provided them with some milk camels and a shepherd, and ordered them to go out and drink their urine and milk. They set out, and when they were in the area of Harrah, they apostatized from their Islam and killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and took the camels. The news reached the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so he sent people after them and they were caught and brought to him. He had their eyes branded, their hands and feet cut off, and then he left them in the area of Harrah until they died in that state.

حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ قبیلہ عکل یا قبیلہ عرینہ کے کچھ لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور اسلام قبول کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا: "یا رسول اللہ! ہم اونٹوں والے لوگ تھے، زمین والے نہیں۔" انہیں مدینہ کا موسم ناموافق محسوس ہوا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں کچھ دودھ دینے والی اونٹنیاں اور ایک چرواہا عطا فرمایا، اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ وہ باہر جائیں اور ان اونٹنیوں کا پیشاب اور دودھ پیا کریں۔ وہ چلے گئے، اور جب وہ مقام "حرہ" میں پہنچے تو انہوں نے اسلام سے مرتد ہو کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے چرواہے کو قتل کر دیا اور اونٹنیاں لے کر بھاگ گئے۔ یہ خبر نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک پہنچی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے پیچھے لوگ روانہ فرمائے، جنہوں نے انہیں پکڑ کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حضور میں پیش کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کی آنکھوں میں گرم سلاخیں پھروا دیں، ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کاٹ دیے، اور پھر انہیں حرہ کے علاقے میں چھوڑ دیا گیا یہاں تک کہ وہ اسی حالت میں مر گئے۔

Hazrat Anas Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki qabeela Akl ya qabeela Ureina ke kuch log Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hue aur Islam qubool kiya. Unhon ne kaha: "Ya Rasool Allah! Hum unt walay log thay, zameen walay nahin." Unhen Madina ka mausam na muwafiq mehsoos hua. Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne unhen kuch doodh denay wali untniyan aur ek charwaha ata farmaaya, aur unhen hukum diya ki woh bahar jayen aur un untniyon ka peshab aur doodh piya karen. Woh chalay gaye, aur jab woh maqam "Harrah" mein pahunche to unhon ne Islam se murtad ho kar Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke charwahe ko qatal kar diya aur untniyan lekar bhaag gaye. Yeh khabar Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam tak pahunchi to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne un ke peechhe log rawana farmaye, jinhon ne unhen pakar kar aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke huzur mein pesh kiya. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne un ki aankhon mein garam salakhen pherwa din, un ke hath paon kaat diye, aur phir unhen Harrah ke ilaqay mein chhor diya gaya yahan tak ki woh isi halat mein mar gaye.

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ عُكْلٍ وَعُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَتَكَلَّمُوا بِالْإِسْلَامِ وَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا أَهْلَ ضَرْعٍ وَلَمْ نَكُنْ أَهْلَ رِيفٍ وَاسْتَوْخَمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ «فَأَمَرَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِذَوْدٍ وَرَاعي وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا لِيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَبْوَالِهَا وَأَلْبَانِهَا» فَانْطَلَقُوا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْحَرَّةِ كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِمْ وَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَاسْتَاقُوا الذَّوْدَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَبَعَثَ الطَّلَبَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُمْ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْحَرَّةِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا عَلَى حَالِهِمْ ذَلِكَ

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4473

Al-Hasan narrated that a man said to ‘Imran bin Husain, “I have a slave and I made a vow to Allah that if I catch him, I will cut off his hand.” He said, “Do not cut off his hand. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stand among us and order us to give charity and forbid us from mutilation."

حضرت حسن رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے حضرت عمران بن حسین رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ ”میرے پاس ایک غلام ہے اور میں نے اللہ سے نذر مانی ہے کہ اگر میں نے اسے پکڑ لیا تو میں اس کا ہاتھ کاٹ دوں گا۔“ انہوں نے کہا، ”اس کا ہاتھ مت کاٹو۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے درمیان کھڑے ہو کر ہمیں صدقہ دینے کا حکم دیتے تھے اور ہمیں اعضاء کاٹنے سے منع فرماتے تھے۔“

Hazrat Hassan raza Allah anhu bayan karte hain keh aik shakhs ne Hazrat Imran bin Hussain raza Allah anhu se kaha keh "Mere pass aik ghulam hai aur maine Allah se nazar mani hai keh agar maine use pakar liya to main uska hath kaat dun ga" Unhon ne kaha "Iska hath mat kato Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam hamare darmiyan kharay ho kar hamein sadqa dene ka hukum dete thay aur hamein aaza kaatne se mana farmate thay"

أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَزَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِعِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ إِنَّ لِي عَبْدًا وَإِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لِلَّهِ إِنْ أَصَبْتُهُ لَأَقْطَعَنَّ يَدَهُ فَقَالَ لَا تَقْطَعْ يَدَهُ «فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُومُ فِينَا فَيَأْمُرُنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَيَنْهَانَا عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ»

Sahih Ibn Hibban 4474

Anas ibn Malik narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) only mutilated the eyes of those (prisoners of war) because they had mutilated the eyes of the shepherds.

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے (قیدیوں کی) آنکھیں صرف اس لیے خراب کیں کیونکہ انہوں نے چرواہوں کی آنکھیں خراب کی تھیں۔

Hazrat Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne qaidion ki aankhen sirf is liye kharab keen kyunkeh unhon ne charwahon ki aankhen kharab ki theen.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْوَزَّانُ بِجُرْجَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الثَّلْجِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِنَّمَا سَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ لِأَنَّهُمْ سَمَّرُوا أَعْيَنَ الرِّعَاءِ»
