It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah that a person came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "I am doomed." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Who ruined you?" He said, "I had intercourse with my wife during Ramadan." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Free a slave." He submitted, "I cannot find a slave." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Fast for two consecutive months." He submitted, "I do not have the strength for that." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Then feed sixty poor people." He submitted, "I cannot afford that either." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Sit down." He sat down. In the meantime, some dates were brought to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, "Take this and go and give it in charity." He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! By the Being Who has sent you with the truth, there is no house between the two valleys of Medina more needy than ours." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled so broadly upon hearing this that his blessed teeth became visible, and then he said, "Take it and feed your family with it."
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک شخص حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا میں ھلاک ہوگیا آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پوچھا کس نے تجھے ہلاک کردیا ؟ اس نے عرض کیا کہ میں نے رمضان میں اپنی بیوی سے شرعی ملاقات کرلی ہے، حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : غلام آزاد کر، اس نے عرض کیا میں غلام نہیں پاتا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا دو مہینوں کے لگاتار روزے رکھ لے، اس نے عرض کیا میں اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : پھر ساٹھ مسکینوں کو کھانا کھلا، اس نے عرض کیا میں وہ بھی نہیں پاتا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بیٹھ جا، وہ بیٹھ گیا اسی دوران حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں کچھ کھجوریں آئیں، حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس سے فرمایا : اس کو لے جا اور جا کر صدقہ کر دے، اس نے عرض اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو حق دے کر بھیجا ہے مدینہ کی دونوں گھاٹیوں کے درمیان کوئی گھر ایسا نہیں جو ہم سے زیادہ ضرورت مند ہو، حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) یہ سن کر اتنا مسکرائے کہ آپ کے دانت مبارک ظاہر ہوگئے پھر فرمایا : یہ لے کر اپنے عیال کو کھلا دے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira se marvi hai keh aik shakhs Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz kiya mein halaak hogaya aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne poocha kis ne tujhe halaak kardiya? Us ne arz kiya keh mein ne Ramzan mein apni biwi se sharai mulaqat karli hai, Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Ghulam azad kar, us ne arz kiya mein ghulam nahi pata, aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya do mahinon ke lagatar rozey rakh le, us ne arz kiya mein is ki taqat nahi rakhta, aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Phir saath miskeenon ko khana khila, us ne arz kiya mein woh bhi nahi pata, aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Beth ja, woh beth gaya isi dauran Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein kuch khajoorein aayein, Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne us se farmaya: Is ko le ja aur ja kar sadqa kar de, us ne arz aye Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Qasam hai is zaat ki jis ne aap ko haq de kar bheja hai Madina ki donon ghatiyon ke darmiyaan koi ghar aisa nahi jo hum se ziada zaroorat mand ho, Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) yeh sun kar itna muskraye keh aap ke daant mubarak zahir hogaye phir farmaya: Yeh le kar apne eyaal ko khila de.
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyab that a person came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: I have broken the fast of Ramadan. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Give charity, ask forgiveness from Allah Almighty, and make up for that day with one fast.
حضرت سعید بن المسیب سے مروی ہے کہ ایک شخص حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا کہ میں نے رمضان کا ایک روزہ افطار کرلیا ہے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : صدقہ کر، اللہ تعالیٰ سے استغفار کر اور اس دن کی جگہ ایک روزہ کی قضا کر۔
Hazrat Saeed bin al-Musayyib se marvi hai ki aik shakhs Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz kiya ki maine Ramzan ka aik roza iftar karliya hai, aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Sadaqah kar, Allah Ta'ala se istighfar kar aur us din ki jagah aik roza ki qaza kar.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever breaks the fast of Ramadan without an excuse, even if he fasts for the rest of his life, he will not be able to compensate for it (he will not be able to attain its reward)."
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے مروی ہے کہ حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : جس شخص نے رمضان کا ایک بھی روزہ بغیر عذر کے چھوڑ دیا وہ ساری زندگی بھی روزے رکھ لے اس کا بدلہ نہیں ہوسکتا (ثواب میں اس تک نہیں پہنچ سکتا) ۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira se marvi hai keh Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Jis shakhs ne Ramzan ka aik bhi roza baghair uzr ke chhor diya woh sari zindagi bhi rozey rakh le us ka badla nahi ho sakta (sawab mein us tak nahi pohnch sakta).
Hazrat Abdullah narrates that whoever intentionally breaks the fast in Ramadan without any illness or excuse, cannot compensate for it even if he fasts for the rest of his life.
حضرت عبداللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ جو شخص رمضان کا روزہ بغیر مرض، بغیر عذر کے جان بوجھ کر افطار کرلے وہ اس کی قضا نہیں کرسکتا اگرچہ ساری زندگی بھی روزہ رکھ لے۔
Hazrat Abdullah farmate hain ke jo shakhs Ramzan ka roza baghair marz, baghair uzr ke jaan boojh kar iftari kar le woh uski qaza nahin kar sakta agarche sari zindagi bhi roza rakh le.
It was asked from Hazrat Abu Khalid and Hazrat Aamir that if a person intentionally doesn't keep fast in Ramadan then? You said, "He should seek forgiveness from Allah and repent, and shouldn't do this again and keep one day's fast (Qaza) in its place."
حضرت ابو خالد اور حضرت عامر سے دریافت کیا گیا کہ کوئی شخص جان بوجھ کر رمضان کا روزہ نہ رکھے تو ؟ آپ نے فرمایا اللہ سے استغفار کرے اور توبہ کرے، اور دوبارہ ایسا نہ کرے اور اس کی جگہ ایک دن کی قضا کرے۔
Hazrat Abu Khalid aur Hazrat Amir se daryaft kiya gaya keh koi shakhs jaan boojh kar Ramzan ka roza na rakhay to? Aap ne farmaya Allah se isteghfar kare aur tauba kare, aur dobara aisa na kare aur is ki jagah ek din ki qaza kare.
Hazrat Asim says that I asked Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid Abu al-Sha'atha' whether any information had reached him regarding the person who breaks the fast of one day of Ramadan, what should he do? You said no, but he should make up for it with one day's fast and also do good deeds with it.
حضرت عاصم فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت جابر بن زید ابو الشعثائ سے سوال کیا کہ کیا آپ تک کوئی بات پہنچی ہے اس شخص کے متعلق جو رمضان کا ایک روز افطار کرلے تو وہ کیا کرے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا نہیں، لیکن اس کی جگہ ایک دن کی قضا کرلے اور اس کے ساتھ نیکی بھی کرے۔
Hazrat Asim farmate hain keh maine Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid Abu al Shaasaye se sawal kiya keh kya aap tak koi baat pahunchi hai is shakhs ke mutaliq jo Ramzan ka ek roz iftar karle to woh kya kare? Aap ne farmaya nahi, lekin is ki jaga ek din ki qaza kare aur is ke sath neki bhi kare.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubayr said about the one who intentionally breaks the fast of Ramadan, that he should seek forgiveness from Allah, repent to Him and make up for it by fasting one day.
حضرت سعید بن جبیر اس شخص کے متعلق فرماتے ہیں جو رمضان کا روزہ جان بوجھ کر افطار کرلے، فرمایا اس استغفار کرے توبہ کرے اور اس کے بدلے ایک روزے کی قضا کرے۔
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair iss shakhs ke mutaliq farmaty hain jo Ramzan ka roza jaan boojh kar iftari karle, farmaya iss istighfar karey touba karey aur iss ke badle aik rozey ki qaza karey.
Hazrat Ya'la bin Hakeem narrates that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair that if someone intentionally breaks the fast in Ramadan, what is the expiation for it? You said, I do not know what the expiation is. He has committed a sin, he should repent and make up for it by fasting for one day.
حضرت یعلی بن حکیم فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت سعید بن جبیر سے دریافت کیا کہ کوئی شخص رمضان کا روزہ جان بوجھ کر افطار کرلے اس پر کیا کفارہ ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا مجھے نہیں معلوم کیا کفارہ ہے ؟ اس کو گناہ ملا ہے، استغفار کرے اور اس کی جگہ ایک دن کی قضا کرے۔
Hazrat Ya'la bin Hakeem farmate hain ke maine Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair se daryaft kiya ke koi shakhs Ramzan ka roza jaan boojh kar iftari karle us par kya kaffara hai? Aap ne farmaya mujhe nahi maloom kya kaffara hai? Is ko gunah mila hai, istighfar kare aur is ki jaga ek din ki qaza kare.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that a person came into the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said that he has been burnt. Upon inquiring about the matter, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned that he had intercourse with his wife during this Ramadan. A basket was brought to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which is called "Araq", and it contained some dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Where is the burnt man?" A man stood up, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Give these dates in charity to him."
حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں ایک شخص نے ذکر کیا کہ وہ جل گیا ہے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کے متعلق دریافت کیا تو اس نے ذکر کیا کہ اس رمضان میں اپنی بیوی سے جماع کرلیا ہے، حضور اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک ٹوکری لائی گئی جسے عَرْق کہتے ہیں اس میں کچھ کھجوریں تھیں حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دریافت فرمایا : جلا ہوا شخص کہاں ہے ؟ ایک شخص کھڑا ہوا تو حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا اس کو صدقہ کردو۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai ki huzur aqdas (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki khidmat mein ek shakhs ne zikar kya ki wo jal gaya hai, aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne uske mutalliq daryaft kya to usne zikar kya ki is ramazan mein apni biwi se jima karliya hai, huzur akram (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke paas ek tokri laayi gayi jise arq kehte hain us mein kuchh khajoorein thin huzur (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne daryaft farmaya : jala huwa shakhs kahan hai? Ek shakhs khara huwa to huzur (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya isko sadqa kar do.
