Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he said to Thabit (رضي الله تعالى عنه), should I not use the spell of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) for you? He said, yes. He then said -
ََّباللَّهُمَّ ر ِ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي الَ شَافِيَ إِالَّ أَنْتَ اشْفِهِ شِفَاءً الَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًاِ مُذْهِبَ الْبَاسالنَّاس [O’ Allah, Lord of mankind, the One Who takes away affliction, grant healing, for You are the Healer, there is no healer except You. Grant him a healing that does not leave any trace of sickness.].

عبدالعزیز بن صہیب کہتے ہیں کہ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے ثابت سے کہا: کیا میں تم پر دم نہ کروں جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کیا کرتے تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا: کیوں نہیں ضرور کیجئے، تو انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: «اللهم رب الناس مذهب الباس اشف أنت الشافي لا شافي إلا أنت اشفه شفاء لا يغادر سقما» اے اللہ! لوگوں کے رب! بیماری کو دور فرمانے والے شفاء دے تو ہی شفاء دینے والا ہے نہیں کوئی شفاء دینے والا سوائے تیرے تو اسے ایسی شفاء دے جو بیماری کو باقی نہ رہنے دے ۔
Abdul Aziz bin Suhaib kehte hain ke Ans r.a. ne Thabit se kaha: kya main tum par dam nah karon jo Rasool Allah s.a.w. kia karte the? Unhon ne kaha: kyon nahin zarur kijye, to Ans r.a. ne kaha: «Allahum Rabb al-nas Madhab al-bas Ishfa Anta al-shafi la shafi illa Anta Ishfi Shifa la yaghdir saqma» aey Allah! logon ke Rab! bimari ko door farmane wala shifa de to hi shifa dene wala hai nahin koi shifa dene wala siwae tere to usse aisi shifa de jo bimari ko baqi nah rahene de.
Uthman bin Abi al-As (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he came to the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) as he had severe pain which was about to destroy me. So, the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, wipe it with your right hand seven times and say –
ُِ د ِ مَا أَجَ تِهِ مِنْ شَرَّ ِ وَقُدْرَّ ةِ َّللاأَعُوذُ بِعِز [I seek refuge in the glory and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel]. I did that and Allah took away the pain, and I continued to tell my family and others to do that.

عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ وہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آئے، عثمان کہتے ہیں: اس وقت مجھے ایسا درد ہو رہا تھا کہ لگتا تھا کہ وہ مجھے ہلاک کر دے گا، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اپنا داہنا ہاتھ اس پر سات مرتبہ پھیرو اور کہو: «أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما أجد» میں اللہ کی عزت اور اس کی قدرت کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں اس چیز کی برائی سے جو میں پاتا ہوں ۔ میں نے اسے کیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے جو تکلیف تھی وہ دور فرما دی اس وقت سے میں برابر اپنے گھر والوں کو اور دوسروں کو اس کا حکم دیا کرتا ہوں۔
Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke woh Nabi e Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas aaye, Usman kehte hain: Is waqt mujhe aisa dard ho raha tha ke lagta tha ke woh mujhe halak kar dega, to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Apna dahna hath is per sat martaba phirro aur kaho: «A'ooz bi'izzati Allahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajid» Main Allah ki izzat aur us ki qudrat ki panaah chahta hoon is cheez ki burai se jo main pata hoon. Main ne isse kiya to Allah Ta'ala ne mujhe jo takleef thi woh door farma di is waqt se main barabar apne ghar walon ko aur doosron ko is ka hukm diya karta hoon.
Abu Darda (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he heard the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say, if any of you is suffering from anything or his brother is suffering, he should say –
َّ ُ الَّذِيَ بُّنَا َّللار َحْمَتَكَ فِيَحْمَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَاجْعَلْ رِ كَمَا رْ ضَ اسْمُكَ أَمْرُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَاألَرفِي السَّمَاءِ تَقَدَّس َْ لِ اغْفِرْ ضاألَر نَا حُوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا ََ حْمَتِكَ وَ شِفَاءً مِنْ شِفَائِكَ عَ حْمَةً مِنْ رِ لْ رَبُّ الطَّي ِبِينَ أَنْزأَنْتَ ر ِلَى هَذَا الْوَجَع [Our Lord Allah Who is above the heavens, sanctified is Your Name, Your Decree is executed in the heaven and on earth. As Your Mercy is in heaven, bestow Your Mercy on earth. Forgive us our major and minor sins, Lord of the good. Send down some of Your Mercy and some of Your Healing for this pain]. Then it will be healed.

ابو الدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: تم میں سے جو بیمار ہو یا جس کا کوئی بھائی بیمار ہو تو چاہیئے کہ وہ کہے: «ربنا الله الذي في السماء تقدس اسمك أمرك في السماء والأرض كما رحمتك في السماء فاجعل رحمتك في الأرض اغفر لنا حوبنا وخطايانا أنت رب الطيبين أنزل رحمة من رحمتك وشفاء من شفائك على هذا الوجع» ہمارے رب! جو آسمان کے اوپر ہے تیرا نام پاک ہے، تیرا ہی اختیار ہے آسمان اور زمین میں، جیسی تیری رحمت آسمان میں ہے ویسی ہی رحمت زمین پر بھی نازل فرما، ہمارے گناہوں اور خطاؤں کو بخش دے، تو ( رب پروردگار ) ہے پاک اور اچھے لوگوں کا، اپنی رحمتوں میں سے ایک رحمت اور اپنی شفاء میں سے ایک شفاء اس درد پر بھی نازل فرما تو وہ صحت یاب ہو جائے گا ۔
Abu al-Darda (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko farmate huve suna: Tum mein se jo bimar ho ya jis ka koi bhai bimar ho to chahiye ke woh kahe: «Rabbana Allah alladhi fis-samaa taqaddasa ismuka amruka fis-samaa wal-ardh kama rahmatika fis-samaa faja'al rahmatika fil-ardh ighfir lana hubana wa khutayana anta rabb al-tayibin anzil rahmatan min rahmatika wa shifaan min shifaika ala hadha al-wajah» Hamare Rab! Jo aasman ke upar hai tera naam pak hai, tera hi ikhtiyar hai aasman aur zameen mein, jesi teri rahmat aasman mein hai waisi hi rahmat zameen par bhi nazil farma, hamare gunahon aur khataon ko bakhsh de, tu ( Rab Parwardgar ) hai pak aur ache logon ka, apni rahmaton mein se ek rahmat aur apni shifa mein se ek shifa is dard par bhi nazil farma to woh sehat yab ho jayega.
It was narrated from Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to teach them words to say in the event of fear -
ِ َّأَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ َّللا َِات ِ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزالتَّامَّةِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَ شَر ِالشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُون [I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His Wrath and the evil of His slaves and from the suggestions of the devils and from their presence]. Abdullah bin Amr used to teach it to those in his household who reached puberty, and for those who had not reached puberty he would write it down and hang it on them.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ انہیں ( خواب میں ) ڈرنے پر یہ کلمات کہنے کو سکھلاتے تھے:«أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من غضبه وشر عباده ومن همزات الشياطين وأن يحضرون» میں پناہ مانگتا ہوں اللہ کے پورے کلموں کی اس کے غصہ سے اور اس کے بندوں کے شر سے اور شیاطین کے وسوسوں سے اور ان کے میرے پاس آنے سے ۔ عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما اپنے ان بیٹوں کو جو سمجھنے لگتے یہ دعا سکھاتے اور جو نہ سمجھتے تو ان کے گلے میں اسے لکھ کر لٹکا دیتے۔
Abdul-Allah ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke Rasool-Allah sall-Allahu alaihi wa sallam unhen (khawab mein) darne par yeh kalmaat kehne ko sikhlate the: «A'oodhu bikalamati-Allahit-tamami min ghadhabihi wa sharri ibadihi wa min hamzatin-shyaateeni wa an yahduruun» main panaah mangta hun Allah ke pure kalmon ki uske ghusse se aur uske bandon ke shar se aur shayaateen ke waswason se aur un ke mere paas aane se. Abdul-Allah ibn Amru ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a apne in beto ko jo samjhne lagte yeh dua sikhate aur jo nah samjhte to un ke gale mein usse likh kar latka dete.
Yazid bin Abi Ubaid narrated that he saw a sign of injury in the shin of Salamah ( رضي الله تعالى عنه). I asked, what is this? He replied, I was afflicted. I was afflicted by it on the day of Khaibar. The people said, Salamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) has been afflicted. Salamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, I was then brought to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He blew on me three times and I did not feel any pain up till now.

یزید بن ابی عبید کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی پنڈلی میں چوٹ کا ایک نشان دیکھا تو میں نے پوچھا: یہ کیا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: مجھے یہ چوٹ خیبر کے دن لگی تھی، لوگ کہنے لگے تھے: سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو ایسی چوٹ لگی ہے ( اب بچ نہیں سکیں گے ) تو مجھے نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس لایا گیا، آپ نے تین بار مجھ پر دم کیا اس کے بعد سے اب تک مجھے اس میں کوئی تکلیف نہیں محسوس ہوئی۔
Yazid bin Abi Ubaid kehte hain ke main ne Salma (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki pandli mein chot ka ek nishan dekha to main ne poocha: yeh kya hai? unhon ne kaha: mujhe yeh chot Khaibar ke din lagi thi, log kahne lagay thay: Salma (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko aisi chot lagi hai ( ab bach nahi sakain gay ) to mujhe Nabi e Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas layaya gaya, aap ne teen bar mujh per dam kiya is ke baad se ab tak mujhe is mein koi taklif nahi mahsus hui.
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that ‘if a person complained of pain, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) would take some saliva with his finger, and put it in the dust, and say - ُِ نَا يُشْفَى سَقِيمِ يقَةِ بَعْضِ نَا بِرْ ضْ بَةُ أَرتُر َ ب ِنَانَا بِإِذْنِ ر [Dust of our land mixed with the saliva of one of us will heal our sick one, by the leave of our Lord].

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ سے جب کوئی اپنی بیماری کی شکایت کرتا تو آپ اپنا لعاب مبارک لیتے پھر اسے مٹی میں لگا کر فرماتے: «تربة أرضنا بريقة بعضنا يشفى سقيمنا بإذن ربنا» یہ ہماری زمین کی خاک ہے ہم میں سے بعض کے لعاب سے ملی ہوئی ہے تاکہ ہمارا بیمار ہمارے رب کے حکم سے شفاء پا جائے ۔
Umme-ul-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se jab koi apni bimari ki shikayat karta to aap apna luaab mubarak lete phir usse mitti mein laga kar farmate: «Turbah arzuna briqa baazna yashfa saqeemna bi'izni Rabina» yeh hamari zamin ki khaak hai hum mein se baaz ke luaab se mili hui hai taake humara bimar humari Rab ke hukm se shifaa paa jaaye .
It was narrated from Zakariyya that Amir narrated to him, from Kharijah bin As-Salt At-Tamimi, from his paternal uncle that he went to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and accepted Islam, then he came back. He passed by some people who had an insane man with them, who was bound in chains. His family said, ‘we were told that this companion of yours has brought something good. Do you have anything with which you could treat him? (He said) I performed Ruqyah for him by reciting the Opening of the Book (A1-Fatiha) and he was healed, and they gave me a hundred sheep. I came to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and told him, and he said, 'is that all (that you recited)? Musaddad (one of the narrators) said elsewhere, 'did you recite anything other than this?' I said, 'no.' He said, 'take them by my life (by my Lord who controls my life), for indeed, for the one who earns by means of false Ruqyah (will earn his burden of sin), but you have earned it by means of a truthful Ruqyah.

خارجہ بن صلت تمیمی اپنے چچا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ وہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور انہوں نے اسلام قبول کر لیا، پھر لوٹ کر جب آپ کے پاس سے جانے لگے تو ایک قوم پر سے گزرے جن میں ایک شخص دیوانہ تھا زنجیر سے بندھا ہوا تھا تو اس کے گھر والے کہنے لگے کہ ہم نے سنا ہے کہ آپ کے یہ ساتھی ( رسول اللہ ﷺ ) خیر و بھلائی لے کر آئے ہیں تو کیا آپ کے پاس کوئی چیز ہے جس سے تم اس شخص کا علاج کریں؟ میں نے سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھ کر اس پر دم کر دیا تو وہ اچھا ہو گیا، تو ان لوگوں نے مجھے سو بکریاں دیں، میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آیا اور آپ کو اس کی خبر دی، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: تم نے صرف یہی سورت پڑھی ہے؟ ۔ ( مسدد کی ایک دوسری روایت میں: «هل إلا هذا» کے بجائے: «هل قلت غير هذا» ہے یعنی کیا تو نے اس کے علاوہ کچھ اور نہیں پڑھا؟ ) میں نے عرض کیا: نہیں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: انہیں لے لو، قسم ہے میری عمر کی لوگ تو ناجائز جھاڑ پھونک کی روٹی کھاتے ہیں اور تم نے تو جائز جھاڑ پھونک پر کھایا ہے ۔
Kharja bin Salt Tamimi apne chacha se riwayat karte hain ke woh Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaye aur unhon ne Islam qubool kar liya phir laut kar jab aap ke pass se jane lage to ek qoum par se guzare jin mein ek shakhs diwana tha zanjeer se bandha hua tha to us ke ghar walay kehnay lage ke hum ne suna hai ke aap ke yeh sathi ( Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ) khair o bhalaai le kar aaye hain to kya aap ke pass koi cheez hai jis se tum is shakhs ka ilaaj karen? Maine Surah Fatiha padh kar is par dam kar diya to woh acha ho gaya to un logon ne mujhe so bakriyan din main Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aya aur aap ko is ki khabar di aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: tum ne sirf yehi surat padhi hai? ( Musaddad ki ek doosri riwayat mein: «Hal illa haza» ke bajaye: «Hal qalt ghair haza» hai yani kya to ne is ke alawa kuchh aur nahin padha? ) Maine arz kiya: nahin aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: unhen le lo qasam hai meri umr ki log to najayaz jhaad phoonk ki roti khate hain aur tum ne to jaayaz jhaad phoonk par khai hai.
Kharijah bin as-Salt quoted his parental uncle as saying that he passed by some people. He recited Surat al-Fatihah over that insane person for three days morning and evening. Whenever he finished it, he collected some of his saliva and spat it out, and he seemed as if he were set free from a bond. They gave him something as payment. He then came to the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He then transmitted the rest of the tradition to the same effect as Musaddad narrated.

خارجہ بن صلت سے روایت ہے، وہ اپنے چچا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ( کچھ لوگوں پر سے ) گزرے ( ان میں ایک دیوانہ شخص تھا ) جس پر وہ صبح و شام فاتحہ پڑھ کر تین دن تک دم کرتے رہے، جب سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھ چکتے تو اپنا تھوک جمع کر کے اس پر تھو تھو کر دیتے، پھر وہ اچھا ہو گیا جیسے کوئی رسیوں میں جکڑا ہوا کھل جائے، تو ان لوگوں نے ایک چیز دی تو وہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آئے، پھر انہوں نے وہی بات ذکر کی جو مسدد کی حدیث میں ہے۔
Kharja bin Salt se riwayat hai, woh apne chacha se riwayat karte hain ke woh ( kuchh logon par se) guzare (un mein aik diwana shakhs tha) jis par woh subh o sham fatiha padh kar teen din tak dam karte rahe, jab surat fatiha padh chukte to apna thook jama kar ke us par tho tho kar dete, phir woh acha ho gaya jaise koi rasion mein jakra hua khul jaye, to un logon ne aik cheez di to woh Nabi e Akram Sallallahu alaihi wassallam ke pas aaye, phir unhon ne wahi baat zikr ki jo Musaddad ki hadees mein hai.
Abu Salih Zakwan as-Samman narrated that a man from Aslam tribe said, I was sitting with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). A man from among his Companions came and said, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) I have been stung last night, and I could not sleep till morning. He asked, what was that? He replied, a scorpion. He said, Oh, had you said in the evening - َ ِ مَا خَلَقَّ ِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرأَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ َّللا [I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created] nothing would have harmed you, Allah willing.

ابوصالح کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے قبیلہ اسلم کے ایک شخص سے سنا: اس نے کہا کہ میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا اتنے میں آپ کے اصحاب میں سے ایک شخص آیا اور اس نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! آج رات مجھے کسی چیز نے کاٹ لیا تو رات بھر نہیں سویا یہاں تک کہ صبح ہو گئی، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: کس چیز نے؟ اس نے عرض کیا: بچھو نے، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: سنو اگر تم شام کو یہ دعا پڑھ لیتے: «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق» میں اللہ کے کامل کلمات کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں اس کی تمام مخلوقات کی برائی سے تو ان شاءاللہ ( اللہ چاہتا تو ) وہ تم کو نقصان نہ پہنچاتا ۔
Abu Saleh kehte hain ke main ne qabila Aslam ke ek shakhs se suna: Us ne kaha ke main Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas baithe huwe the itne mein Aap ke Ashab mein se ek shakhs aya aur us ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Aaj raat mujhe kisi cheez ne kaat liya to raat bhar nahin soya yehan tak ke subah ho gayi, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Kis cheez ne? Us ne arz kiya: Bichhu ne, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Suno agar tum sham ko yeh dua padh lete: «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق» main Allah ke kamil kalmaat ki panaah chahta hoon is ki tamam makhlooqat ki burai se to Insha Allah (Allah chahta to) woh tum ko nuqsan nahin pahunchata.
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that a man who was stung by a scorpion was brought to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He said, had he said the word - َ ِ مَا خَلَقَّ ِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرأَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ َّللا [I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created], he would not have been stung, or he said, it would not have harmed him.’

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس ایک شخص لایا گیا جسے بچھو نے کاٹ لیا تھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: اگر وہ یہ دعا پڑھ لیتا: «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من شر ما خلق» میں اللہ کے کامل کلمات کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں اس کی تمام مخلوقات کی برائی سے تو وہ نہ کاٹتا یا اسے نقصان نہ پہنچاتا ۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas ek shakhs laya gaya jise bichhu ne kaat liya tha to aap ne farmaya: Agar woh yeh dua padh leta: «A'uzu bikalimatillahi tammah min sharri ma khalq» main Allah ke kamil kalmaat ki panaah chahta hoon us ki tamam makhlooqat ki burai se to woh nah kaatta ya use nuqsan nah pahunchata.
Abu Sa’d al-KHudri (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ) narrated that some of the Companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) went on a journey. They alighted with a certain clan of the Arabs. Someone of them said, our chief has been stung by a scorpion or bitten by a snake. Has any of you something which gives relief to our chief? A man of the people said, yes, I swear by Allah. I shall apply charm; but we asked you for hospitality and you denied it to us. I shall not apply charm until you give me some payment. So, they promised to give some sheep to him. He came to him and recited Surat al-Fatihah over him and spat till he was cured, and he seemed as if he were set free from a bond. So, they gave him the payment that was agreed between them. They said, apportion them. The man who applied charm said, do not do it until we approach the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). When they informed him about it, the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, from where did you learn that it was a charm? You have done right. Apportion them and give me a share along with you.

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے اصحاب کی ایک جماعت ایک سفر پر نکلی اور وہ عرب کے قبیلوں میں سے ایک قبیلہ میں اتری، ان میں سے بعض نے آ کر کہا: ہمارے سردار کو بچھو یا سانپ نے کاٹ لیا ہے، کیا تمہارے پاس کوئی ایسی چیز ہے جو انہیں فائدہ دے؟ تو ہم میں سے ایک شخص نے کہا: ہاں قسم اللہ کی میں جھاڑ پھونک کرتا ہوں لیکن ہم نے تم سے ضیافت کے لیے کہا تو تم نے ہماری ضیافت سے انکار کیا، اس لیے اب میں اس وقت تک جھاڑ پھونک نہیں کر سکتا جب تک تم مجھے اس کی اجرت نہیں دو گے، تو انہوں نے ان کے لیے بکریوں کا ایک ریوڑ اجرت ٹھہرائی، چنانچہ وہ آئے اور سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھ کر اس پر دم کرنے لگے یہاں تک کہ وہ اچھا ہو گیا گویا وہ رسی سے بندھا ہوا تھا چھوٹ گیا، پھر ان لوگوں نے جو اجرت ٹھہرائی تھی پوری ادا کر دی، لوگوں نے کہا: اسے آپس میں تقسیم کر لو، تو جس نے جھاڑ پھونک کیا تھا وہ بولا: اس وقت تک ایسا نہ کرو جب تک کہ ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آ کر آپ سے اجازت نہ لے لیں، چنانچہ وہ سب رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور آپ سے ذکر کیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: تمہیں کہاں سے معلوم ہوا کہ یہ منتر ہے؟ تم نے بہت اچھا کیا، تم اسے آپس میں تقسیم کر لو اور اپنے ساتھ میرا بھی ایک حصہ لگانا ۔
Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Ashab ki ek jamat ek safar par nikli aur woh Arab ke qabailon mein se ek qabil mein utri, in mein se baaz ne aa kar kaha: Hamare sardar ko bichchu ya saanp ne kaat liya hai, kya tumhare pass koi aisi cheez hai jo unhen faidah de? To hum mein se ek shakhs ne kaha: Haan qasam Allah ki main jhaar phoonk karta hun lekin hum ne tum se ziyafat ke liye kaha to tum ne hamari ziyafat se inkar kiya, is liye ab main is waqt tak jhaar phoonk nahin kar sakta jab tak tum mujhe is ki ajrat nahin do ge, to unhon ne un ke liye bakriyon ka ek riyod ajrat thahrai, chananch woh aaye aur Surah Fatiha padh kar is per dam karne lage yahin tak ke woh acha ho gaya goya woh rasi se bandha hua tha chhut gaya, phir un logon ne jo ajrat thahrai thi puri ada kar di, logon ne kaha: Isay aapas mein taqsim kar lo, to jis ne jhaar phoonk kiya tha woh bola: Is waqt tak aisa na karo jab tak ke hum Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aa kar aap se ijazat na le lein, chananch woh sab Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaye aur aap se zikr kiya to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Tumhen kahan se maloom hua ke yeh mantr hai? Tum ne bahut acha kiya, tum isay aapas mein taqsim kar lo aur apne sath mera bhi ek hissa lagana.
Kharijah bin As-Salt At-Tamimi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that his paternal uncle said, ‘we came from the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and arrived to an Arab tribe. They said, 'we have been told that you have brought something good from this man (Prophet Mohammad ﷺ). Do you have any remedy or Ruqyah? For we have an insane man in chains.' We said, 'yes.' So they brought an insane man who was in chains.’ He said, I recited the Opening of the Book over him for three days, morning and evening, and every time I completed it, I collected my saliva and spat (on him), and it was as if he was released from bonds. They gave me some payment, and I said, 'not until I ask the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).' He said, 'accept it, by my life (by the Lord who has given my life), for indeed the one who earns by means of false Ruqyah (will earn his burden of sin), but you have earned it by means of a truthful Ruqyah.

خارجہ بن صلت تمیمی اپنے چچا سے روایت کرتے ہیں، وہ کہتے ہیں ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس سے چلے اور عرب کے ایک قبیلہ کے پاس آئے تو وہ لوگ کہنے لگے: ہمیں معلوم ہوا ہے کہ آپ اس شخص کے پاس سے آ رہے ہیں جو خیر و بھلائی لے کر آیا ہے تو کیا آپ کے پاس کوئی دوا یا منتر ہے؟ کیونکہ ہمارے پاس ایک دیوانہ ہے جو بیڑیوں میں جکڑا ہوا ہے، ہم نے کہا: ہاں، تو وہ اس پاگل کو بیڑیوں میں جکڑا ہوا لے کر آئے، میں اس پر تین دن تک سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھ کر دم کرتا رہا، وہ اچھا ہو گیا جیسے کوئی قید سے چھوٹ گیا ہو، پھر انہوں نے مجھے اس کی اجرت دی، میں نے کہا: میں نہیں لوں گا جب تک میں رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھ نہ لوں، چنانچہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: کھاؤ، قسم ہے میری عمر کی لوگ تو جھوٹا منتر کر کے کھاتے ہیں تم نے تو جائز منتر کر کے کھایا ہے ۔
Kharja bin Salt Tamimi apne chacha se riwayat karte hain, woh kehte hain hum Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas se chale aur Arab ke ek qabile ke pas aaye to woh log kahne lage: humein maloom hua hai ke aap is shakhs ke pas se aa rahe hain jo khair o bhalaai le kar aaya hai to kya aap ke pas koi dava ya mantar hai? Kyunki hamare pas ek diwana hai jo beediyon mein jakra hua hai, hum ne kaha: Haan, to woh is pagal ko beediyon mein jakra hua le kar aaye, main is per teen din tak Surah Fatiha padh kar dam karta raha, woh acha ho gaya jaise koi qaid se chhut gaya ho, phir unhon ne mujhe is ki ajrat di, main ne kaha: Main nahi loonga jab tak main Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poochh na loon, chananche main ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poochha to aap ne farmaya: Khao, qasam hai meri umr ki log to jhootha mantar kar ke khate hain tum ne to jaiz mantar kar ke khaya hai.
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that when the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) suffered from some pain, he recited Mu'awwadhat ( ِالْمُعَو ِذَات) in his heart and blew (them over him). When the pain became severe, I recited (them) over him and wiped him with his hand in the hope of its blessing.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب بیمار ہوتے تو آپ اپنے اوپر معوذات پڑھ کر دم فرماتے تھے، پھر جب آپ ﷺ کی تکلیف بڑھ گئی تو میں اسے آپ پر پڑھ کر دم کرتی اور برکت کی امید سے آپ کا ہاتھ آپ کے جسم پر پھیرتی۔
Am al-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) farmati hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab bimar hote to aap apne oopar Muawwidhat padh kar dam farmate the, phir jab aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki takleef badh gai to main isay aap par padh kar dam karti aur barkat ki umeed se aap ka hath aap ke jism par phirti.
