Chapter: The sacrificer saying: 'O Allah, it is from You and to You, so accept it from me,' and the sacrificer saying for someone else: 'O Allah, accept it from so-and-so.'
باب قول المضحي: اللهم منك وإليك فتقبل مني، وقول المضحي عن غيره: اللهم تقبل من فلان
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 19182
Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that on the day of Eid al-Adha, he was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the Khutbah (sermon), he sacrificed a ram. He recited Bismillah and Allahu Akbar and said: “This is on behalf of myself and those of my Ummah who did not offer a sacrifice.”

(١٩١٨٢) حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں عید الاضحی کے موقع پر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ موجود تھا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے خطبہ سے فراغت کے بعد مینڈھا قربان کیا۔ بسم اللہ واللہ اکبر پڑھا اور فرمایا : یہ میری اور میری امت کی جانب سے ہے جس نے قربانی نہیں کی۔
(19182) Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) farmate hain ke main Eid-ul-Adha ke mauqe par Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath maujood tha to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne khutba se faraghat ke baad mendha qurban kiya. Bismillah wallahu akbar padha aur farmaya: Ye meri aur meri ummat ki janib se hai jisne qurbani nahin ki.
(19183) It is narrated from Abu Ayyash on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sacrificed two white, horned, castrated rams. When he made them face the Qibla, he said: “I have turned my face towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, upon the religion of Abraham, and I am not of the polytheists. Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. He has no partner, and this I have been commanded, and I am of the Muslims. O Allah! This is from You and for You, from Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his Ummah.” Then he said Bismillah Allahu Akbar and slaughtered them.
(b) In the narration of Wahb, it is stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sacrificed two rams on the day of Eid and made them face the Qibla and recited this supplication: "O Allah! This is from You and for You, from Muhammad and his Ummah.” Then he said Bismillah Allahu Akbar and slaughtered them.
(c) Imam Shafi’i (may Allah have mercy on him) said that this is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but it is not proven that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said when he sacrificed the two rams that after mentioning Allah he said: “O Allah! This is from Muhammad and the Ummah of Muhammad,” and that at its end he said: “O Allah! This is from Muhammad and the Ummah of Muhammad.”

(١٩١٨٣) ابو عیاش جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دو چتکبرے، سینگوں والے خصی مینڈھے ذبح کیے۔ جب ان کو قبلہ رخ کیا تو فرمایا : میں نے اپنے چہرے کو اس ذات کی جانب متوجہ کرلیا جس نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا فرمایا ملت ابراہیم پر اور میں مشرکین میں سے نہیں ہوں۔ یقیناً میری نماز اور میری قربانی اور میری زندگی اور میری موت رب العالمین کے لیے ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں اور اس کا میں حکم دیا گیا ہوں اور میں مسلمانوں میں سے ہوں۔ اے اللہ ! یہ تیری طرف سے ہے اور تیرے راستہ میں محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور اس کی امت کی جانب سے۔ بسم اللہ واللہ اکبر پڑھ کر ذبح کردیے۔
(ب) وہبی کی روایت میں ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے عید کے دن دو مینڈھے ذبح فرمائے اور انھیں قبلہ رخ لٹا کر یہ دعا پڑھی : اے اللہ یہ تیری عطا ہے اور تیرے راستہ میں محمد اور اس کی امت کی جانب سے ہے اور بسم اللہ واللہ اکبر پڑھ کر ذبح کردیے۔
(ج) امام شافعی (رح) فرماتے ہیں کہ یہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے منقول ہے ، لیکن اس طرح ثابت نہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دو مینڈھے ذبح کیے۔ ان میں سے ایک میں ہے کہ اللہ کے ذکر کے بعد فرمایا : اے اللہ ! محمد اور امت محمد کی جانب سے اور اس کے آخر میں ہے کہ اے اللہ ! محمد اور امت محمد کی جانب سے ہے۔
19183 Abu Ayash Jabir bin Abdullah (rz) se naql farmate hain keh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne do chitkabre, seengon wale khasi mendhe zibah kiye. Jab un ko qibla rukh kiya to farmaya : mein ne apne chehre ko us zaat ki janib mutawajjah karliya jis ne aasman o zameen ko paida farmaya millat Ibrahim par aur mein mushrikeen mein se nahin hun. Yaqinan meri namaz aur meri qurbani aur meri zindagi aur meri maut Rab ul Aalimeen ke liye hai, uska koi sharik nahin aur uska mein hukm diya gaya hun aur mein musalmanon mein se hun. Aye Allah ! Yeh teri taraf se hai aur tere raaste mein Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aur uski ummat ki janib se. Bismillah wallahu akbar parh kar zibah kardiye.
(b) Wahbi ki riwayat mein hai keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Eid ke din do mendhe zibah farmaye aur unhen qibla rukh lita kar yeh dua parhi : Aye Allah yeh teri ata hai aur tere raaste mein Muhammad aur uski ummat ki janib se hai aur Bismillah wallahu akbar parh kar zibah kardiye.
(j) Imam Shafi (rh) farmate hain keh yeh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se manqol hai , lekin is tarah sabit nahin keh aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne do mendhe zibah kiye. In mein se ek mein hai keh Allah ke zikar ke baad farmaya : Aye Allah ! Muhammad aur ummat Muhammad ki janib se aur is ke aakhir mein hai keh Aye Allah ! Muhammad aur ummat Muhammad ki janib se.
(19184) Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sacrificed two horned, castrated rams. While slaughtering one, he said: “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar, O Allah! This is Your bounty and for You, from Muhammad and the Ummah of Muhammad, those who affirm Your Oneness and bear witness to the conveyance of my message.” And while slaughtering the other, he said: “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar, O Allah! This is Your bounty, in Your way, from Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).”
(b) In the narration of Ibn Abdan, it is mentioned that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sacrificed two fat, fresh, horned, castrated animals for sacrifice. One was on behalf of your Ummah, those who affirm Your Oneness and bear witness to the conveyance of the message, and the other sacrifice was on behalf of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

(١٩١٨٤) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دو سینگوں والے، خصی مینڈھے ذبح کیے تو ایک کو ذبح کرتے وقت فرمایا : بسم اللہ واللہ اکبر، اے اللہ ! تیری عطا اور تیرے لیے محمد اور امت محمد کی جانب سے ہے اور جس نے توحید کا اقرار اور میرے دین پہنچانے کی گواہی دی اور دوسرے کو ذبح کرتے ہوئے فرمایا : بسم اللہ واللہ اکبر، اے اللہ ! تیری عطا تیرے راستہ میں محمد اور آل محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جانب سے۔
(ب) ابن عبدان کی روایت میں ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) قربانی کے لیے دو موٹے تازے سینگوں والے، خصی جانور قربان کیے۔ ایک تو اپنی امت، توحید کا اقرار کرنے والے اور دین کو پہنچانے کی گواہی دینے والوں کی جانب سے جبکہ دوسری قربانی محمد اور آل محمد کی جانب سے۔
19184 Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) farmate hain ke Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne do seengon wale khusi mendhe zibah kiye tou aik ko zibah karte waqt farmaya: Bismillah wallahu akbar, aye Allah! Teri ata aur tere liye Muhammad aur ummat e Muhammad ki jaanib se hai aur jis ne tauheed ka iqrar aur mere deen pohanchane ki gawahi di aur dusre ko zibah karte huye farmaya: Bismillah wallahu akbar, aye Allah! Teri ata tere raste mein Muhammad aur Aal e Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki jaanib se.
(b) Ibn e Abdan ki riwayat mein hai ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) qurbani ke liye do mote taaza seengon wale khusi janwar qurban kiye. Ek tou apni ummat, tauheed ka iqrar karne wale aur deen ko pohanchane ki gawahi dene walon ki jaanib se jabke dusri qurbani Muhammad aur Aal e Muhammad ki jaanib se.
Abu Zabyan narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked him about Allah's saying: {And the Budn (cows, oxen, or camels driven to be offered as sacrifices at Hajj) We have made for you as among the Symbols of Allah, therein you have much good. So pronounce the Name of Allah over them when they are made to stand in lines (for sacrifice). And when they fall down on their sides (after slaughter), then eat thereof, and feed the beggar who asks not, and him who asks.} [Al-Hajj 36] He said: "You should make the sacrifice stand and then say 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, O Allah! It was from You and it is in Your way' then perform the Takbir and slaughter it." I said: "Is this regarding the sacrifice?" He said: "Yes, it is regarding the sacrifice."

(١٩١٨٥) ابو ظبیان حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ان سے اللہ کے اس قول کے بارے میں پوچھا { وَ الْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنٰھَا لَکُمْ مِّنْ شَعَآئِرِ اللّٰہِ لَکُمْ فِیْھَا خَیْرٌ فَاذْکُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰہِ عَلَیْھَا صَوَآفَّ } [الحج ٣٦] فرماتے ہیں : آپ قربانی کو کھڑا کر کے نحر کریں پھر اللہ اکبر اللہ اکبر کہیں کہ اے اللہ ! تیری طرف سے تھی اور تیرے راستہ میں ہے۔ پھر تکبیر پڑھ کے نحر کر دو ۔ میں نے پوچھا : یہ قربانی کے بارے میں ہے۔ فرمایا : ہاں قربانی کے بارے میں ہی ہے۔
(19185) Abu Zubair Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) se naqal farmate hain ke maine un se Allah ke is qaul ke bare mein poocha { وَ الْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنٰھَا لَکُمْ مِّنْ شَعَآئِرِ اللّٰہِ لَکُمْ فِیْھَا خَیْرٌ فَاذْکُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰہِ عَلَیْھَا صَوَآفَّ } [Al-Hajj 36] farmate hain: Aap qurbani ko khara kar ke nahar karen phir Allah Akbar Allah Akbar kahen ke aye Allah! Teri taraf se thi aur tere raaste mein hai. Phir takbeer parh ke nahar kar do. Maine poocha: Yeh qurbani ke bare mein hai. Farmaya: Haan qurbani ke bare mein hi hai.
Asim bin Shriab narrated that a sheep was brought to Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) on the day of sacrifice. While slaughtering it, he said: “I begin with the name of Allah. O Allah! This is Your bounty and in Your way and from Muhammad (peace be upon him).” Then he ordered the meat of the sacrifice to be given in charity. Then another sheep was brought, so while slaughtering it, he said: “I begin with the name of Allah. O Allah! This is Your bounty, in Your way and from Ali.” The narrator says: Then Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said: “Put some meat in a plate and bring it to me, and give the rest in charity.”

(١٩١٨٦) عاصم بن شریب فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی (رض) کے پاس قربانی کے دن مینڈھا لایا گیا۔ ذبح کرتے وقت انھوں نے یہ کہا : میں اللہ کے نام سے شروع کرتا ہوں۔ اے اللہ ! یہ تیری عطا اور تیرے راستہ میں ہے اور محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی طرف سے ہے۔ پھر قربانی کے گوشت کو صدقہ کرنے کا حکم دے دیا گیا۔ پھر دوسرا مینڈھا لایا گیا تو ذبح کرتے وقت یہ کہا : میں شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ کے نام سے۔ اے اللہ یہ تیری عطا تیرے راستہ میں اور علی کی جانب سے ہے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : پھر حضرت علی (رض) نے کہا : ایک تھال میں گوشت ڈال کر میرے پاس لاؤ اور باقی صدقہ کر دو ۔
Asim bin Sharib farmate hain ke Hazrat Ali (RA) ke paas qurbani ke din mendha laya gaya. Zibah karte waqt unhon ne ye kaha: main Allah ke naam se shuru karta hun. Aye Allah! Ye teri ata aur tere raaste mein hai aur Muhammad (SAW) ki taraf se hai. Phir qurbani ke gosht ko sadqa karne ka hukum de diya gaya. Phir dusra mendha laya gaya to zibah karte waqt ye kaha: main shuru karta hun Allah ke naam se. Aye Allah ye teri ata tere raste mein aur Ali ki jaanib se hai. Rawi kehte hain: phir Hazrat Ali (RA) ne kaha: ek thal mein gosht daal kar mere paas lao aur baqi sadqa kar do.
Hansh bin Harith narrates that Ali ibn Abi Talib used to sacrifice one sheep on behalf of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and one on his own behalf. We asked: "O Commander of the Faithful! You sacrifice on behalf of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) always commanded me to sacrifice on his behalf. Therefore, I always sacrifice on your (peace be upon him) behalf. It is permissible to sacrifice on behalf of a deceased person, but the sacrifice of a pregnant animal should not be offered.”

(١٩١٨٧) حنش بن حارث فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علی بن ابی طالب ایک مینڈھا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور ایک اپنی جانب سے قربانن کرتے۔ ہم نے پوچھا : اے امیر المؤمنین ! آپ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جانب سے قربانی کرتے ہیں۔ فرمایا : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیشہ مجھے اپنی جانب سے قربانی کرنے کا حکم دیا تھا۔ اس لیے میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جانب سے ہمیشہ قربانی کرتا ہوں۔ وہ شخص جو فوت ہوجائے۔ اس کی جانب سے قربانی کرنا جائز ہے لیکن حاملہ جانور کی قربانی نہ کی جائے۔
19187 hansh bin haris farmate hain keh hazrat ali bin abi talib ek mendha rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aur ek apni jaanib se qurbanan karte hum ne poocha aye amir ul momineen aap rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki jaanib se qurbani karte farmaya rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne hamesha mujhe apni jaanib se qurbani karne ka hukum diya tha is liye main aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki jaanib se hamesha qurbani karta hoon woh shakhs jo foot ho jaye uski jaanib se qurbani karna jaiz hai lekin hamla janwar ki qurbani na ki jaye
Nafi' narrates that once Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) offered a sacrifice in Madinah. Nafi' says that he ordered me to buy a horned ram. Then on the day of Eid al-Adha, he ordered me to slaughter it at the Eid prayer ground. Nafi' says: I slaughtered the ram and took it to Abdullah. He then had his head shaved, as he was unable to attend the Eid prayer with the people due to illness. Nafi' says that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "It is not obligatory for the one who does not perform Hajj to shave his head after the sacrifice," even though Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) himself had done so.

(١٩١٨٩) نافع فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) نے ایک مرتبہ مدینہ میں قربانی کی۔ نافع کہتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے مجھے سینگوں والا سانڈ مینڈھا خریدنے کا حکم دیا ۔ پھر قربانی کے دن مجھے عید گاہ میں ذبح کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ نافع کہتے ہیں : میں مینڈھے کو ذبح کر کے حضرت عبداللہ کے پاس لے کر آیا۔ اس کے بعد انھوں نے اپنے سر کے بال منڈوا دیے۔ کیونکہ وہ بیمار ہونے کی وجہ سے لوگوں کے ساتھ عید نہ پڑھ سکے تھے۔ نافع کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) نے فرمایا : جو حج نہ کرے تو قربانی کے بعد سر منڈوانا اس پر واجب نہیں ہے۔ حالانکہ خود حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) نے یہ کام کیا تھا۔
(19189) Nafe farmate hain ki Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) ne ek martaba Madina mein qurbani ki. Nafe kahte hain ki unhon ne mujhe singon wala saand mendha kharidne ka hukum diya. Phir qurbani ke din mujhe Eidgah mein zibah karne ka hukum diya. Nafe kahte hain: mein mendhe ko zibah kar ke Hazrat Abdullah ke paas le kar aaya. Iss ke baad unhon ne apne sar ke baal mundwa diye. Kyunki woh beemar hone ki wajah se logon ke saath Eid na parh sake the. Nafe kahte hain ki Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) ne farmaya: jo Hajj na kare to qurbani ke baad sar mundwana iss par wajib nahin hai. Halanki khud Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) ne yeh kaam kiya tha.
