It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he and Harb bin Qais Fazari had a difference of opinion regarding the companion of Musa (Moses, peace be upon him) to whom Musa (peace be upon him) had requested Allah Almighty to allow him to travel and meet. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was of the opinion that he was Khidr (peace be upon him). At that very moment, Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) called out to him and said, "My companion and I have a difference of opinion as to who was the companion of Musa (peace be upon him) whom he requested to travel and meet. Have you heard the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) mention anything in this regard?" He said, "Yes! I have heard the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) say that once, Musa (peace be upon him) was addressing a gathering of the Children of Israel when a man stood up and asked him, 'Do you know of anyone more knowledgeable than yourself?' Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'No.' Upon this, Allah Almighty revealed, 'There is a servant of Ours, Khidr, who is more knowledgeable than you.' Musa (peace be upon him) asked how he could meet him. So Allah Almighty, making a fish a sign for him, said, 'When you lose the fish, return, for it is there that you will meet him.' Musa (peace be upon him) set out on a journey and at one stage made a stop and said to his servant, 'Bring us our breakfast. We have faced great hardship on this journey.' It was there that Musa (peace be upon him) found the fish missing. So both of them returned, following their footsteps, and then the incident that Allah Almighty has described in His Book took place."

حضرت ابن عباس ؓ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ان کا اور حر بن قیس فزاری کا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے اس رفیق کے متعلق اختلاف رائے ہوگیا جس کی طرف سفر کر کے جانے کی بارگاہ الہٰی میں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے درخواست کی تھی ، حضرت ابن عباس ؓ کی رائے یہ تھی کہ وہ حضرت خضر علیہ السلام تھے اسی دوران وہاں سے حضرت ابی بن کعب ؓ کا گذر ہوا حضرت ابن عباس ؓ نے انہیں پکار کر کہا کہ میرا اور میرے اس ساتھی کا اس بات میں اختلاف ہوگیا ہے کہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کا وہ ساتھی کون تھا جس کی طرف سفر کر کے ملنے کی درخواست انہوں نے کی تھی ؟ کیا آپ نے اس حوالے سے نبی کریم ﷺ کو کچھ ذکر کرتے ہوئے سنا ہے ؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں ! میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بنی اسرائیل کے کسی اجتماع سے خطاب فرما رہے تھے کہ ایک آدمی نے کھڑے ہو کر ان سے پوچھا کہ آپ کے علم میں اپنے سے بڑا عالم بھی ہے ؟ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا نہیں اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے یہ وحی آئی کہ ہمارا ایک بندہ خضر تم سے بڑا عالم ہے ۔ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ان سے ملنے کا طریقہ پوچھا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایک مچھلی کو ان کی لئے نشانی قرار دیتے ہوئے فرمایا جب تم مچھلی کو نہ پاؤ تو واپس آجانا کیونکہ وہیں پر تمہاری ان سے ملاقات ہوجائے گی ، حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام سفر پر روانہ ہوئے تو ایک منزل پر پڑاؤ کیا اور اپنے خادم سے کہنے لگے ہمارا ناشتہ لاؤ اس سفر میں تو ہمیں بڑی مشقت کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ہے وہیں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے مچھلی کو غائب پایا تو دونوں اپنے نشانات قدم پر چلتے ہوئے واپس لوٹے اور پھر وہ قصہ پیش آیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنی کتاب میں بیان فرمایا ہے ۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) se marvi hai ki ek martaba un ka aur Har bin Qais Fazari ka Hazrat Musa (AS) ke us rafiq ke mutalliq ikhtilaf rai hogaya jis ki taraf safar kar ke jane ki bargah ilahi mein Hazrat Musa (AS) ne darkhwast ki thi, Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) ki rai yeh thi ki woh Hazrat Khidr (AS) thay isi dauran wahan se Hazrat Abi bin Kab (RA) ka guzar hua Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) ne unhen pukar kar kaha ki mera aur mere is sathi ka is baat mein ikhtilaf hogaya hai ki Hazrat Musa (AS) ka woh sathi kaun tha jis ki taraf safar kar ke milne ki darkhwast unhon ne ki thi? kya aap ne is hawale se Nabi Karim (SAW) ko kuch zakar karte huye suna hai? Unhon ne farmaya haan! mein ne Nabi Karim (SAW) ko yeh farmate huye suna hai ki ek martaba Hazrat Musa (AS) Bani Israel ke kisi ijtima se khitab farma rahe thay ki ek aadmi ne kharay ho kar un se pucha ki aap ke ilm mein apne se bada alim bhi hai? Hazrat Musa (AS) ne farmaya nahin is par Allah Ta'ala ki taraf se yeh wahi aayi ki hamara ek banda Khidr tum se bada alim hai. Hazrat Musa (AS) ne un se milne ka tariqa pucha to Allah Ta'ala ne ek machhli ko un ki liye nishani qarar dete huye farmaya jab tum machhli ko na pao to wapas aa jana kyunki wahin par tumhari un se mulaqat hojaigi, Hazrat Musa (AS) safar par rawana huye to ek manzil par padhao kiya aur apne khadim se kehne lage hamara nashta lao is safar mein to humein badi mushkil ka samna karna pada wahin Hazrat Musa (AS) ne machhli ko ghaib paya to donon apne nishanat qadam par chalte huye wapas lote aur phir woh qissa pesh aaya to Allah Ta'ala ne apni kitab mein bayan farmaya hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) and said that we have been afflicted by famine. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him to which tribe do you belong? Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) kept inquiring about his lineage until he recognized him and found out that he was actually wealthy. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said if a person even had two valleys full of wealth, he would still be in search of a third. Upon this, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) added that only dust can fill the stomach of the son of Adam, then Allah pays attention to the one who repents.
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him from whom did you hear this? He replied from Ubayy bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him). Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Come to me tomorrow.” When Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reached his mother, Umm al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her), he mentioned this incident to her. She said, “Why did you need to speak in front of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)?” Now Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) became worried that Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) might have forgotten. However, his mother assured him, “Hopefully, he would not have forgotten about it.”
So, the next day when Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reached Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he found a whip lying nearby. We both headed towards Ubayy bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him). When Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) came out, he had freshly performed ablution. He said, “I had an erotic dream, so I only washed my private parts (and performed ablution).” Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, “Is this permissible?” He replied, “Yes, indeed!” Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, “Did you hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?” He replied, “Yes.” Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) inquired about the statement made by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), and he confirmed that as well.

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی حضرت عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ ہمیں قحط سالی نے کھالیا حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس سے پوچھا کہ تمہارا تعلق کس قبیلے سے ہے؟ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ مسلسل اس کے نسب نامے کو کریدتے رہے یہاں تک کہ اسے شناخت کرلیا اور پتہ یہ چلا کہ وہ تو مالی طور پر وسعت رکھتا ہے، حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا اگر کسی شخص کے پاس (مال و دولت کی ایک دو وادیاں بھی ہوں تب بھی وہ تیسری کی تلاش میں ہوگا اس پر حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے یہ اضافہ کردیا کہ ابن آدم کا پیٹ تو صرف مٹی ہی بھر سکتی ہے پھر اللہ اس پر متوجہ ہوجاتا ہے جو توبہ کرتا ہے۔
حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے پوچھا کہ تم نے یہ کس سے سنا؟ انہوں نے بتایا حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کل میرے پاس آنا حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما جب اپنی والدہ حضرت ام الفضل رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس پہنچے تو ان سے اس واقعے کا تذکرہ کیا انہوں نے فرمایا کہ تمہیں حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے سامنے بولنے کی کیا ضرورت تھی؟ اب حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو یہ اندیشہ پیدا ہوگیا کہ کہیں حضرت ابی رضی اللہ عنہ اسے بھول ہی نہ گئے ہوں لیکن ان کی والدہ نے انہیں تسلی دی کہ امید ہے کہ وہ اس بات کو نہیں بھولے ہوں گے۔
چنانچہ اگلے دن جب حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس پہنچے تو ان کے پاس کوڑا پڑا ہوا تھا ہم دونوں حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف چل پڑے حضرت ابی رضی اللہ عنہ باہر تشریف لائے تو انہوں نے تازہ وضو کیا ہوا تھا وہ کہنے لگے کہ مجھے " مذی " لاحق ہوگئی تھی اس لئے میں نے فقط شرمگاہ کو دھولیا (اور وضو کرلیا) حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے پوچھا کیا یہ جائز ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا جی ہاں! حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے پوچھا کیا آپ نے یہ بات نبی کریم ﷺ سے سنی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا جی ہاں پھر حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی بات کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے اس کی بھی تصدیق کی۔

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Famine has destroyed us." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him, "To which tribe do you belong?" Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) continued to inquire about his lineage until he recognized him and found out that he was actually wealthy. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Even if a person possesses (wealth equivalent to) one or two valleys, he would still seek a third." Upon this, Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) added, "Nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam but dust, and Allah turns with mercy to him who repents."
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him, "From whom did you hear this?" He replied, "From Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him)." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Come to me tomorrow." So, the next day, he went to Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him). Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him, "What is this that Ibn Abbas says?" He replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited it to me in this way." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Shall I write it down?" He said, "Yes." So he wrote it down.

It is narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, Ubayy bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "O Leader of the Believers! I have recently acquired the Holy Quran from the same source from whom Jibril (Gabriel), peace be upon him, acquired it."

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا امیرالمؤمنین! میں نے قرآن کریم اس ذات سے تازہ بتازہ حاصل کیا ہے جس نے حضرت جبرائیل علیہ السلام سے اسے حاصل کیا تھا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai ke ek martaba Hazrat Ubay bin Ka'ab Raziallahu Anhu ne Hazrat Umar Raziallahu Anhu se farmaya Amir-ul-Momineen! maine Quran Kareem iss zaat se taza ba taza hasil kiya hai jisne Hazrat Jibraeel Alaihissalam se use hasil kiya tha.
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that the last verse of the Holy Quran that was revealed was: "Indeed, there has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves...".

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بحوالہ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ قرآن کریم کی سب سے آخری آیت جو نازل ہوئی وہ یہ تھی " لقدجاء کم رسول میں انفسکم۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ "
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma se behvala Abi bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anhu marvi hai keh Quran Kareem ki sab se aakhri ayat jo nazil hui woh yeh thi "Laqad jaakum rasoolun min anfusikum....."
Saeed bin Jubair narrates that I asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), "Nouf Bakali believes that (the Prophet) Musa (mentioned in the story of) Khidr (peace be upon him) is not the Musa of Bani Israel, but someone else." Ibn Abbas replied, "The enemy of Allah is lying. Abu Ibn Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me this Hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Once, Musa (peace be upon him) was standing and giving a sermon to the Bani Israel. After the sermon ended, a person asked, "Who is the most knowledgeable among all?" Musa (peace be upon him) replied, "I am the most knowledgeable." Allah revealed to Musa (peace be upon him), "There is a servant among my servants who is more knowledgeable than you." Musa (peace be upon him) pleaded, "O Allah, how can I meet him?" Allah commanded, "Take a (smelling) fish in your basket (and set out on a journey). Where that fish disappears, you will find that person."
Musa (peace be upon him) took a fish and put it in the basket and set off on his journey. He took along with him his servant, Yusha' bin Nun. While walking, when they reached a stone, both of them (stopped and) Musa (peace be upon him) placed his head on the stone and fell asleep. In the meantime, the fish jumped out of the basket and, making a tunnel in the sea, went on its way. When Musa (peace be upon him) woke up, he said to his servant, "We are very tired from this journey, now bring us food." And Musa had not felt any fatigue until he had crossed the designated place. In fact, he felt tired only when they had passed the designated place. The servant said, "Should I tell you? When we reached that stone, I forgot the fish there (and I didn't mention it to you)." Musa (peace be upon him) said, "That is the place we were looking for." So, they retraced their steps, walking back.
They had just reached the stone when they saw a man with his head covered with a cloth. Musa (peace be upon him) greeted him with Salam. Khidr replied, "Where is the custom of Salam in your land? (How did you greet me?)" Musa (peace be upon him) said, "I am Musa." Khidr asked, "Are you Musa of Bani Israel?" He replied, "Yes." After this, Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Can I accompany you on the condition that you teach me some portion of the knowledge that Allah has bestowed upon you?" Khidr (peace be upon him) replied, "You will not be able to remain patient with me (and will interrupt in between) because Allah has granted me from His special knowledge that which He has not given to you, and He has given you knowledge that I am unaware of. ( Musa (peace be upon him) said, "If Allah wills, you will find me steadfast. I will not disobey your command.")"
Finally, both of them were walking along the bank of a river when a ship passed by. They talked to the boatmen about getting on board. The people recognized Khidr (peace be upon him), so the boatmen took both of them on board without any fare. After this, Khidr (peace be upon him) carefully examined the boat, took out an adze, and pulled out a plank from the boat. Musa (peace be upon him) said, "What have you done? These people gave us a ride without any fare, and you want to drown them all by breaking their boat? This is a strange thing you have done." Khidr (peace be upon him) replied, "Didn't I tell you that you wouldn't be able to remain patient with me?" Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Please forgive my mistake and do not burden me in my task." At that moment, a bird came and dipped its beak into the sea. Khidr (peace be upon him) said, "My and your knowledge cannot diminish Allah's knowledge even as much as this bird has diminished the water of this sea."
Then both of them disembarked from the ship and continued walking. On the way, they saw a boy playing with other children. Khidr (peace be upon him) grabbed the boy's head and snapped his neck with his own hand. Musa (peace be upon him) exclaimed, "You have killed an innocent soul without any fault! This is a terrible thing you have done." Khidr (peace be upon him) replied, "Didn't I tell you that you wouldn't be able to control yourself with me?" Musa said, "Alright, after this, if I ask you anything, then don't keep me with you. You have been very patient with me." Finally, they both continued walking until they reached a village. They asked the villagers for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. There, they saw a wall that was about to collapse. Khidr (peace be upon him) gestured with his hand, and it straightened up. …

حضرت سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے کہا کہ نوف بکالی کا خیال ہے کہ (حضرت خضر علیہ السلام والے) موسیٰ بنی اسرائیل کے موسیٰ نہیں ہیں بلکہ وہ کوئی اور موسیٰ ہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بولے دشمن اللہ جھوٹ بولتا ہے مجھ سے حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا۔
ایک مرتبہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بنی اسرائیل کے سامنے کھڑے تقریر فرما رہے تھے تقریر ختم ہونے کے بعد ایک شخص نے دریافت کیا کہ سب سے بڑا عالم کون ہے؟ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا میں سب سے بڑا عالم ہوں خدا تعالیٰ نے حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر وحی بھیجی کہ میرے بندوں میں سے ایک بندہ تم سے زیادہ عالم ہے۔ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے عرض کیا الہٰی اس سے ملاقات کس طرح ہوسکتی ہے؟ حکم دیا گیا کہ اپنے ساتھ زنبیل میں ایک (بھنی ہوئی) مچھلی رکھ لو (اور سفر کو چل دو) جہاں وہ مچھلی گم ہوجائے وہ شخص وہیں ملے گا۔
حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ایک مچھلی لے کر زنبیل میں ڈالی اور چل دیئے اور اپنے ساتھ ایک خادم یوشع بن نون کو بھی لیتے گئے چلتے چلتے جب ایک پتھر کے پاس پہنچے تو دونوں (رک گئے اور) حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام اس پتھر پر سر رکھ کر سو گئے اتنے میں مچھلی زنبیل سے پھڑک کر نکلی اور دریا میں سرنگ بناتی ہوئی اپنی راہ چلی گئی حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بیدار ہوئے تو موسیٰ نے اپنے خادم سے فرمایا ہم تو اس سفر سے بہت تھک گئے اب کھانا لے آؤ اور موسیٰ کو اس وقت تک کوئی تھکاوٹ نہ ہوئی تھی جب تک کہ مقام مقررہ سے آگے نہ بڑھے تھے بلکہ اس وقت تھکان معلوم ہونے لگی جب مقام مقررہ سے آگے بڑھ گئے خادم کہنے لگا کیا بتاؤں جب ہم اس پتھر کے پاس پہنچے تو میں مچھلی وہاں بھول گیا (اور آپ سے میں نے اس کا تذکرہ نہ کیا) حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا اسی جگہ کی تو ہم کو تلاش تھی چنانچہ الٹے پاؤں قدم پر قدم ڈالتے واپس لوٹے۔
پتھر تک پہنچے ہی تھے کہ ایک آدمی کپڑے سے سر لپیٹے ہوئے نظر آیا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے سلام کیا خضر بولے تمہارے ملک میں سلام کا رواج کہاں ہے (یہ تم نے سلام کیسے کیا؟) حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا میں موسیٰ ہوں خضر بولے کیا بنی اسرائیل والے موسیٰ میں نے کہا جی ہاں اس کے بعد حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا کیا میں آپ کے ہمراہ اس شرط پر چل سکتا ہوں کہ خداوند تعالیٰ نے جو علم آپ کو عطا فرمایا ہے اس میں سے کچھ حصہ کی مجھے بھی تعلیم دیجئے حضرت خضر علیہ السلام بولے آپ میرے ساتھ رہ کر صبر نہ کرسکیں گے (درمیان میں بول اٹھیں گے) کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے خاص کا مجھے وہ حصہ عطا فرمایا ہے جو آپ کو نہیں دیا اور آپ کو وہ علم دیا جس سے میں ناواقف ہوں (حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا ان شاء اللہ آپ مجھے ثابت قدم پائیں گے میں آپ کے حکم کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کروں گا)
آخرکار دونوں دریا کے کنارے کنارے چل دیئے کہ کشتی موجود نہ تھی اتنے میں ادھر سے ایک کشتی کا گزر ہوا انہوں نے کشتی والوں سے سوار ہونے کے متعلق کچھ بات چیت کی حضرت خضر علیہ السلام کو لوگوں نے پہچان لیا اس لئے کشتی والوں نے دونوں کو بغیر کرایہ کے سوار کرلیا اس کے بعدخضر علیہ السلام نے کشتی کو اچھی طرح دیکھ کر بسولا نکال کر کشتی کا ایک تختہ اکھاڑ دیا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا تم نے یہ کیا کیا؟ ان لوگوں نے تو بغیر کرایہ کے ہم کو سوار کرلیا اور تم نے ان کی کشتی توڑ کر سب کو ڈبونا چاہا تم نے یہ عجیب بات کی؟ خضر علیہ السلام بولے میں نے تم سے نہیں کہہ دیا تھا کہ میرے ساتھ رہ کر صبر نہ کرسکو گے، حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا بھول چوک پر میری گرفت نہ کیجئے اور مجھ پر میرے کام میں دشواری نہ ڈالیے اسی دوران ایک چڑیا نے آکر سمندر میں اپنی چونچ ڈالی حضرت خضر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا میرا اور تمہارا علم اللہ کے علم میں اتنی بھی کمی نہیں کرسکتا جتنی کمی اس چڑیا نے اس سمندر کے پانی میں کی ہے۔
پھر یہ دونوں حضرات کشتی سے نکل کر چل دیئے راستہ میں ایک لڑکا بچوں کے ساتھ کھیل رہا تھا خضر علیہ السلام نے اس کا سرپکڑ کر اپنے ہاتھ سے گردن اکھاڑ دی حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بولے تم نے جو ایک معصوم جان کو بلا قصور مار ڈالا یہ تم نے بہت برا کام کیا خضر علیہ السلام بولے کیا میں نے نہیں کہہ دیا تھا کہ تم میرے ساتھ رہ کر ضبط نہ کرسکو گے موسیٰ نے کہا اچھا اب اس کے بعد اگر میں آپ سے کچھ دریافت کروں تو آپ مجھے ساتھ نہ رکھنا آپ نے میرا عذر بہت مان لیا آخر کار پھر دونوں چل دیئے چلتے چلتے ایک گاؤں میں پہنچے گاؤں والوں سے کھانا مانگا انہوں نے مہمانی کرنے سے انکار کردیا ان کو وہاں ایک دیوار نظر آئی جو گرنے کے قریب تھی، حضرت خضر علیہ السلام نے ہاتھ کا اشارہ کر کے اس کو سیدھا کردیا حضرت
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair kahte hain ke maine Hazrat Ibn Abbas razi Allaho anhuma se kaha ke Nouf Bakali ka khayaal hai ke (Hazrat Khizr Alaihissalam wale) Moosa Bani Israeel ke Moosa nahin hain balke woh koi aur Moosa hain Ibn Abbas razi Allaho anhuma bole dushman Allah jhoot bolta hai mujh se Hazrat Abi bin Kaab razi Allaho anho ne yeh hadees bayan ki hai ke Nabi Kareem sallallaho alaihe wasallam ne farmaya.
Ek martaba Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam Bani Israeel ke samne khade taqreer farma rahe the taqreer khatam hone ke baad ek shakhs ne daryaft kiya ke sab se bada Aalim kaun hai? Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne farmaya main sab se bada Aalim hun Khuda ta'ala ne Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam par wahi bheji ke mere bandon mein se ek banda tum se zyada Aalim hai. Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne arz kiya Ilahi us se mulaqat kis tarah hosakti hai? Hukum diya gaya ke apne sath zanbeel mein ek (bhuni hui) machhli rakh lo (aur safar ko chal do) jahan woh machhli gum hojae woh shakhs wahin milega.
Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne ek machhli lekar zanbeel mein daali aur chal diye aur apne sath ek khadim Yusha bin Noon ko bhi lete gaye chalte chalte jab ek pathar ke paas pahunche to donon (ruk gaye aur) Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam us pathar par sar rakh kar so gaye itne mein machhli zanbeel se pharak kar nikli aur darya mein surang banati hui apni raah chali gayi Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam bedar hue to Moosa ne apne khadim se farmaya hum to is safar se bahut thak gaye ab khana le aao aur Moosa ko us waqt tak koi thakawat na hui thi jab tak ke maqam muqarrara se aage na badhe the balke us waqt thakan maloom hone lagi jab maqam muqarrara se aage badh gaye khadim kahne laga kya bataun jab hum us pathar ke paas pahunche to main machhli wahan bhul gaya (aur aap se maine iska tazkara na kiya) Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne farmaya usi jagah ki to hum ko talash thi chunancha ulte paaon qadam par qadam daalte wapas lote.
Pathar tak pahunche hi the ke ek aadmi kapde se sar lapete hue nazar aaya Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne salaam kiya Khizr bole tumhare mulk mein salaam ka riwaj kahan hai (yeh tumne salaam kaise kiya?) Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne kaha main Moosa hun Khizr bole kya Bani Israeel wale Moosa maine kaha ji han is ke baad Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne kaha kya main aap ke hamrah is shart par chal sakta hun ke Khuda wanda ta'ala ne jo ilm aap ko ata farmaya hai us mein se kuch hissa ki mujhe bhi taleem dijiye Hazrat Khizr Alaihissalam bole aap mere sath reh kar sabar na karsaken ge (darmiyan mein bol uthenge) kyunki Allah ta'ala ne apne khas ka mujhe woh hissa ata farmaya hai jo aap ko nahin diya aur aap ko woh ilm diya jis se main na waqif hun (Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne kaha Insha Allah aap mujhe saabt qadam payenge main aap ke hukum ki khilaf warzi nahin karunga)
Aakhirkaar donon darya ke kinare kinare chal diye ke kashti maujood na thi itne mein udhar se ek kashti ka guzar hua unhon ne kashti walon se sawar hone ke mutalliq kuch baat cheet ki Hazrat Khizr Alaihissalam ko logon ne pahchan liya is liye kashti walon ne donon ko baghair kiraya ke sawar karliya is ke baad Khizr Alaihissalam ne kashti ko acchi tarah dekh kar basula nikal kar kashti ka ek takhta ukhad diya Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne kaha tumne yeh kya kiya? In logon ne to baghair kiraya ke hum ko sawar karliya aur tumne in ki kashti tod kar sab ko dubona chaha tumne yeh ajeeb baat ki? Khizr Alaihissalam bole maine tum se nahin kah diya tha ke mere sath reh kar sabar na karsako ge, Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ne kaha bhool chook par meri giraft na kijiye aur mujh par mere kaam mein dushwari na daliye usi dauran ek chidiya ne aakar samundar mein apni chonch daali Hazrat Khizr Alaihissalam ne farmaya mera aur tumhara ilm Allah ke ilm mein itni bhi kami nahin karsakta jitni kami is chidiya ne is samundar ke pani mein ki hai.
Phir yeh donon Hazrat kashti se nikal kar chal diye raste mein ek ladka bachchon ke sath khel raha tha Khizr Alaihissalam ne uska sar pakad kar apne hath se gardan ukhad di Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam bole tumne jo ek masoom jaan ko bila qasoor maar daala yeh tumne bahut bura kaam kiya Khizr Alaihissalam bole kya maine nahin kah diya tha ke tum mere sath reh kar zabt na karsako ge Moosa ne kaha achcha ab is ke baad agar main aap se kuch daryaft karun to aap mujhe sath na rakhna aap ne mera uzr bahut maan liya aakhirkaar phir donon chal diye chalte chalte ek gaon mein pahunche gaon walon se khana manga unhon ne mehmani karne se inkaar kardiya un ko wahan ek deewar nazar aayi jo girne ke qareeb thi, Hazrat Khizr Alaihissalam ne hath ka ishara kar ke us ko seedha kardiya Hazrat.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair said that I asked Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), "Nauf Bakali thinks that the Moses (mentioned in the story of Hazrat Khidr) is not the Moses of the Children of Israel but some other Moses." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "The enemy of Allah is lying. Hazrat Abi bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me this hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Once, Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) was standing, giving a sermon to the Children of Israel. When the sermon was over, a person asked, 'Who is the most knowledgeable among the people?' Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) replied, 'I am the most knowledgeable.' Allah Almighty revealed to Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him), 'There is a servant among My servants who is more knowledgeable than you.' Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) pleaded, 'O Allah, how can I meet him?' It was commanded, 'Take a (salted) fish with you in a basket (and set out on a journey). Where the fish disappears, you will find that person.'
Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) took a fish, put it in a basket, and set out, taking along with him a servant, Yusha bin Nun. As they were walking, they reached a rock. Both of them (stopped and) Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) placed his head on the rock and fell asleep. In the meantime, the fish leaped out of the basket and, making a tunnel in the sea, went on its way. When Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) woke up, he said to his servant, 'We are very tired from this journey, now bring us food.' And Musa had not felt any tiredness until they had passed the designated place. Rather, they felt tired only after they had passed the designated place. The servant said, 'Let me tell you, when we reached that rock, I forgot the fish there (and I did not mention it to you).' Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'That is the place we were looking for.' So they returned, retracing their steps.
As soon as they reached the rock, they saw a man with his head covered with a cloth. Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) greeted him with Salam. Khidr replied, 'Where is the custom of Salam in your land? (Why did you greet me with Salam?)' Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'I am Musa.' Khidr said, 'Are you the Musa of the Children of Israel?' I said, 'Yes.' After this, Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'Can I accompany you on the condition that you teach me some of the knowledge that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon you?' Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) replied, 'You will not be able to remain patient with me (you will interrupt). Because Allah Almighty has given me from His special knowledge what He has not given you, and He has given you knowledge of which I am unaware.' (Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'If Allah wills, you will find me steadfast. I will not disobey your command.')
Finally, both of them walked along the seashore. There was no boat. In the meantime, a boat passed by from below. They talked to the boatmen about boarding. The boatmen recognized Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him), so they let both of them board without fare. After that, Khidr (peace be upon him) looked at the boat carefully, took out an adze, and pulled out a plank of the boat. Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'What have you done? These people gave us a ride without fare, and you want to drown everyone by breaking their boat? This is a strange thing you have done.' Khidr (peace be upon him) replied, 'Didn't I tell you that you would not be able to remain patient with me?' Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'Do not blame me for my forgetfulness, and do not make things difficult for me in my task.' At that moment, a sparrow came and dipped its beak into the sea. Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) said, 'My knowledge and your knowledge cannot decrease the knowledge of Allah even as much as this sparrow has decreased the water of this sea.'
Then both of them disembarked from the boat and walked on. A boy was playing with some children on the seashore. Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) grabbed the boy's head and twisted his neck with his hand, killing him. Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'You have killed an innocent soul without any fault. This is a very evil deed you have done.' Khidr (peace be upon him) replied, 'Didn't I tell you that you would not be able to control yourself with me?' Musa said, 'Alright, after this, if I ask you anything, then do not keep me with you. You have excused me enough.' Finally, both of them resumed their journey. As they were walking, they reached a village. They asked the villagers for food. They refused to offer them hospitality. There they saw a wall that was about to collapse. پھر یہ دونوں حضرات کشتی سے نکل کر چل دیئے ساحل سمندر پر ایک لڑکا بچوں کے ساتھ کھیل رہا تھا خضر علیہ السلام نے اس کا سر پکڑ کر اپنے ہاتھ سے گردن اکھاڑ دی حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بولے تم نے جو ایک معصوم جان کو بلا قصور مار ڈالا یہ تم نے بہت برا کام کیا خضر علیہ السلام بولے کیا میں نے نہیں کہہ دیا تھا کہ تم میرے ساتھ رہ کر ضبط نہ کرسکو گے موسیٰ نے کہا اچھا اب اس کے بعد اگر میں آپ سے کچھ دریافت کروں تو آپ مجھے ساتھ نہ رکھنا آپ نے میرا عذر بہت مان لیا آخر کار پھر دونوں چل دیئے چلتے چلتے ایک گاؤں میں پہنچے گاؤں والوں سے کھانا مانگا انہوں نے مہمانی کرنے سے انکار کردیا ان کو وہاں ایک دیوار نظر آئی جو گرنے کے قریب تھی، حضرت خضر علیہ السلام نے ہاتھ کا اشارہ کر کے اس کو سیدھا کردیا
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair kehte hain keh maine Hazrat Ibn Abbas radi Allaho anhuma se kaha keh Nouf Bakali ka khayal hai keh (Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam wale) Musa Bani Israeel ke Musa nahin hain balkeh woh koi aur Musa hain Ibn Abbas radi Allaho anhuma bole dushman Allah jhoot bolta hai mujh se Hazrat Abi bin Kaab radi Allaho anhu ne yeh hadees bayaan ki hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallaho alaihi wasallam ne farmaya.
Ek martaba Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam Bani Israeel ke samne kharay taqreer farma rahe thay taqreer khatam hone ke baad ek shakhs ne daryaft kiya keh sab se bara alim kaun hai? Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne farmaya main sab se bada alim hun Allah Taala ne Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam par wahi bheji keh mere bandon mein se ek banda tum se zyada alim hai. Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne arz kiya Ilahi us se mulaqat kis tarah hosakti hai? Hukm diya gaya keh apne sath zanbeel mein ek (bhuni hui) machhli rakh lo (aur safar ko chal do) jahan woh machhli gum hojaye woh shakhs wahin milay ga.
Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne ek machhli lekar zanbeel mein dali aur chal diye aur apne sath ek khadim Yusha bin Noon ko bhi lete gaye chalte chalte jab ek pathar ke pass pahunche to donon (ruk gaye aur) Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam us pathar par sar rakh kar so gaye itne mein machhli zanbeel se pharak kar nikli aur darya mein surang banati hui apni raah chali gayi Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam bedar huye to Musa ne apne khadim se farmaya hum to is safar se bahut thak gaye ab khana le aao aur Musa ko is waqt tak koi thakan na hui thi jab tak keh maqam muqarrara se aage na barhe thay balkeh is waqt thakan maloom hone lagi jab maqam muqarrara se aage barh gaye khadim kehne laga kya bataun jab hum is pathar ke pass pahunche to main machhli wahan bhul gaya (aur aap se maine iska tazkara na kiya) Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne farmaya usi jagah ki to hum ko talaash thi chunancha ulte paon qadam par qadam dalte wapas lote.
Pathar tak pahunche hi thay keh ek aadmi kapre se sar lapete huye nazar aaya Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne salaam kiya Khizr bole tumhare mulk mein salaam ka riwaj kahan hai (yeh tumne salaam kaise kiya?) Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne kaha main Musa hun Khizr bole kya Bani Israeel wale Musa maine kaha ji han iske baad Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne kaha kya main aap ke hamrah is shart par chal sakta hun keh Khudawand Taala ne jo ilm aap ko ata farmaya hai us mein se kuchh hissa ki mujhe bhi taleem dijiye Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam bole aap mere sath reh kar sabar na karsaken ge (darmiyaan mein bol uthenge) kyunki Allah Taala ne apne khas ka mujhe woh hissa ata farmaya hai jo aap ko nahin diya aur aap ko woh ilm diya jis se main na waqif hun (Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne kaha Insha Allah aap mujhe sabit qadam payenge main aap ke hukm ki khilaf warzi nahin karunga)
Aakhirkaar donon darya ke kinare kinare chal diye keh kashti maujood na thi itne mein udhar se ek kashti ka guzar hua unhon ne kashti walon se sawar hone ke mutalliq kuchh baat cheet ki Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam ko logon ne pehchan liya is liye kashti walon ne donon ko baghair kiraye ke sawar kar liya iske baad Khizr Alaihis Salam ne kashti ko achhi tarah dekh kar basula nikal kar kashti ka ek takhta ukhad diya Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne kaha tumne yeh kya kiya? In logon ne to baghair kiraye ke hum ko sawar kar liya aur tumne inki kashti tod kar sab ko dubona chaha tumne yeh ajeeb baat ki? Khizr Alaihis Salam bole maine tum se nahin kah diya tha keh mere sath reh kar sabar na karsako ge, Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne kaha bhool chook par meri giraft na kijiye aur mujh par mere kaam mein dushwari na daliye usi dauran ek chidiya ne aakar samundar mein apni chonch dali Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam ne farmaya mera aur tumhara ilm Allah ke ilm mein itni bhi kami nahin karsakta jitni kami is chidiya ne is samundar ke pani mein ki hai.
Phir yeh donon Hazrat kashti se nikal kar chal diye saahil samundar par ek ladka bachchon ke sath khel raha tha Khizr Alaihis Salam ne uska sar pakar kar apne hath se gardan ukhad di Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam bole tumne jo ek masoom jaan ko bila qusoor maar dala yeh tumne bahut bura kaam kiya Khizr Alaihis Salam bole kya maine nahin kah diya tha keh tum mere sath reh kar zabt na karsako ge Musa ne kaha achcha ab iske baad agar main aap se kuchh daryaft karun to aap mujhe sath na rakhna aap ne mera uzr bahut maan liya aakhirkaar phir donon chal diye chalte chalte ek gaon mein pahunche gaon walon se khana manga unhon ne mehmaani karne se inkaar kar diya unko wahan ek deewar nazar aayi jo girne ke qareeb thi, Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam ne hath ka ishara karke usko seedha kar diya.
Saeed bin Jubair said that I asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Nouf Bakali thinks that (the Prophet Khidr, peace be upon him) Moses is not the Moses of the Israelites but some other Moses." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "The enemy of Allah is lying. Abu Ibn Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to me that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"Once, Musa (peace be upon him) was standing in front of the Israelites delivering a sermon. After the sermon was over, a man asked, 'Who is the most knowledgeable among the people?' Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'I am the most knowledgeable.' Allah Almighty revealed to Musa (peace be upon him), 'There is a servant of Mine who is more knowledgeable than you.' Musa (peace be upon him) pleaded, 'O Allah, how can I meet him?' He was commanded, 'Take a (cooked) fish in your basket (and set out on a journey). Wherever you lose that fish, you will find that person.'"
Musa (peace be upon him) took a fish, put it in the basket, and set off. He also took with him a servant, Yusha bin Noon. As they walked and reached near a rock, both (stopped and) Musa (peace be upon him) laid his head on the rock and fell asleep. Meanwhile, the fish jumped out of the basket and made its way into the sea, creating a tunnel. When Musa (peace be upon him) woke up, he said to his servant, 'We are very tired from this journey, bring some food now.' And Musa was not tired until they had passed the designated place, but he felt tired when he went beyond the designated place. The servant said, 'Let me tell you, when we reached near that rock, I forgot the fish there (and I did not mention it to you).' Musa (peace be upon him) said, 'That's the place we were looking for.' So, they both retraced their steps, putting one foot in front of the other.
As soon as they reached the rock, they saw a man with his head covered with a cloth. Musa (peace be upon him) greeted him. Khidr said, "Where is the custom of greeting in your land? (How did you greet?)" Musa (peace be upon him) said, "I am Musa." Khidr said, "Are you the Musa of the Israelites?" He said, "Yes." After that, Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Can I walk with you on the condition that you teach me some part of the knowledge that Allah Almighty has given you?" Khidr (peace be upon him) said, "You will not be able to be patient with me (you will interrupt in between) because Allah Almighty has given me a special share of His knowledge which He has not given you, and He has given you the knowledge which I do not possess. ( Musa (peace be upon him) said, "God willing, you will find me steadfast. I will not disobey your command.")"
Finally, both of them were walking along the seashore, and there was no boat. In the meantime, a boat passed by from somewhere. They talked to the boatmen about getting on board. The people recognized Khidr (peace be upon him), so the boatmen let both of them board without any fare. After that, Khidr (peace be upon him) examined the boat carefully, took out an axe, and tore off a plank of the boat. Musa (peace be upon him) said, "What have you done? These people gave us a ride without any fare, and you want to drown everyone by breaking their boat? This is a strange thing you have done." Khidr (peace be upon him) said, "Didn't I tell you that you wouldn't be able to be patient with me?" Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Please forgive my mistake and do not make my task difficult for me." At the same time, a sparrow came and dipped its beak into the sea. Khidr (peace be upon him) said, "My knowledge and your knowledge are not as insignificant in the knowledge of Allah as the amount of water this sparrow has taken from this sea."
Then both of them got off the boat and started walking. On the way, they saw a boy playing with some children. Khidr (peace be upon him) grabbed the boy's head and twisted his neck with his hand, killing him. Musa (peace be upon him) said, "You have killed an innocent soul without any fault. This is a very bad thing you have done." Khidr (peace be upon him) said, "Didn't I tell you that you wouldn't be able to control yourself with me?" Musa said, "Alright, after this, if I ask you anything, do not keep me with you. You have been very considerate of my excuse." Finally, both of them started walking again. They reached a village and asked the villagers for food, but they refused to host them. They saw a wall there that was about to collapse. Khidr (peace be upon him) pointed his hand towards it and straightened it. ...

حضرت سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے کہا کہ نوف بکالی کا خیال ہے کہ (حضرت خضر علیہ السلام والے) موسیٰ بنی اسرائیل کے موسیٰ نہیں ہیں بلکہ وہ کوئی اور موسیٰ ہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بولے دشمن اللہ جھوٹ بولتا ہے مجھ سے حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا۔
ایک مرتبہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بنی اسرائیل کے سامنے کھڑے تقریر فرما رہے تھے تقریر ختم ہونے کے بعد ایک شخص نے دریافت کیا کہ سب سے بڑا عالم کون ہے؟ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا میں سب سے بڑا عالم ہوں خدا تعالیٰ نے حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر وحی بھیجی کہ میرے بندوں میں سے ایک بندہ تم سے زیادہ عالم ہے۔ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے عرض کیا الہٰی اس سے ملاقات کس طرح ہوسکتی ہے؟ حکم دیا گیا کہ اپنے ساتھ زنبیل میں ایک (بھنی ہوئی) مچھلی رکھ لو (اور سفر کو چل دو) جہاں وہ مچھلی گم ہوجائے وہ شخص وہیں ملے گا۔
حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ایک مچھلی لے کر زنبیل میں ڈالی اور چل دیئے اور اپنے ساتھ ایک خادم یوشع بن نون کو بھی لیتے گئے چلتے چلتے جب ایک پتھر کے پاس پہنچے تو دونوں (رک گئے اور) حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام اس پتھر پر سر رکھ کر سو گئے اتنے میں مچھلی زنبیل سے پھڑک کر نکلی اور دریا میں سرنگ بناتی ہوئی اپنی راہ چلی گئی حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بیدار ہوئے تو موسیٰ نے اپنے خادم سے فرمایا ہم تو اس سفر سے بہت تھک گئے اب کھانا لے آؤ اور موسیٰ کو اس وقت تک کوئی تھکاوٹ نہ ہوئی تھی جب تک کہ مقام مقررہ سے آگے نہ بڑھے تھے بلکہ اس وقت تھکان معلوم ہونے لگی جب مقام مقررہ سے آگے بڑھ گئے خادم کہنے لگا کیا بتاؤں جب ہم اس پتھر کے پاس پہنچے تو میں مچھلی وہاں بھول گیا (اور آپ سے میں نے اس کا تذکرہ نہ کیا) حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا اسی جگہ کی تو ہم کو تلاش تھی چنانچہ الٹے پاؤں قدم پر قدم ڈالتے واپس لوٹے۔
پتھر تک پہنچے ہی تھے کہ ایک آدمی کپڑے سے سر لپیٹے ہوئے نظر آیا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے سلام کیا خضر بولے تمہارے ملک میں سلام کا رواج کہاں ہے (یہ تم نے سلام کیسے کیا؟) حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا میں موسیٰ ہوں خضر بولے کیا بنی اسرائیل والے موسیٰ میں نے کہا جی ہاں اس کے بعد حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا کیا میں آپ کے ہمراہ اس شرط پر چل سکتا ہوں کہ خداوند تعالیٰ نے جو علم آپ کو عطا فرمایا ہے اس میں سے کچھ حصہ کی مجھے بھی تعلیم دیجئے حضرت خضر علیہ السلام بولے آپ میرے ساتھ رہ کر صبر نہ کرسکیں گے (درمیان میں بول اٹھیں گے) کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے خاص کا مجھے وہ حصہ عطا فرمایا ہے جو آپ کو نہیں دیا اور آپ کو وہ علم دیا جس سے میں ناواقف ہوں (حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا ان شاء اللہ آپ مجھے ثابت قدم پائیں گے میں آپ کے حکم کی خلاف ورزی نہیں کروں گا)
آخرکار دونوں دریا کے کنارے کنارے چل دیئے کہ کشتی موجود نہ تھی اتنے میں ادھر سے ایک کشتی کا گزر ہوا انہوں نے کشتی والوں سے سوار ہونے کے متعلق کچھ بات چیت کی حضرت خضر علیہ السلام کو لوگوں نے پہچان لیا اس لئے کشتی والوں نے دونوں کو بغیر کرایہ کے سوار کرلیا اس کے بعدخضر علیہ السلام نے کشتی کو اچھی طرح دیکھ کر بسولا نکال کر کشتی کا ایک تختہ اکھاڑ دیا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا تم نے یہ کیا کیا؟ ان لوگوں نے تو بغیر کرایہ کے ہم کو سوار کرلیا اور تم نے ان کی کشتی توڑ کر سب کو ڈبونا چاہا تم نے یہ عجیب بات کی؟ خضر علیہ السلام بولے میں نے تم سے نہیں کہہ دیا تھا کہ میرے ساتھ رہ کر صبر نہ کرسکو گے، حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا بھول چوک پر میری گرفت نہ کیجئے اور مجھ پر میرے کام میں دشواری نہ ڈالیے اسی دوران ایک چڑیا نے آکر سمندر میں اپنی چونچ ڈالی حضرت خضر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا میرا اور تمہارا علم اللہ کے علم میں اتنی بھی کمی نہیں کرسکتا جتنی کمی اس چڑیا نے اس سمندر کے پانی میں کی ہے۔

In logon ne to baghair kiraya ke hum ko sawar karliya aur tumne in ki kashti tod kar sab ko dubona chaha tumne ye ajeeb baat ki? Khizr Alaihis Salam bole maine tum se nahin kah diya tha ke mere sath rah kar sabar na karsakoge, Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ne kaha bhul chook par meri girift na kijiye aur mujh par mere kaam mein dushwari na daliye isi dauraan ek chidiya ne aakar samundar mein apni chonch dali Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam ne farmaya mera aur tumhara ilm Allah ke ilm mein itni bhi kami nahin karsakta jitni kami is chidiya ne is samundar ke pani mein ki hai.
Phir ye donon Hazrat kashti se nikal kar chal diye raste mein ek ladka bachchon ke sath khel raha tha Khizr Alaihis Salam ne is ka sar pakad kar apne hath se gardan ukhad di Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam bole tumne jo ek masoom jaan ko bila qasoor maar dala ye tumne bahut bura kaam kiya Khizr Alaihis Salam bole kya maine nahin kah diya tha ke tum mere sath rah kar zabt na karsakoge Musa ne kaha achha ab is ke baad agar main aap se kuch daryaft karun to aap mujhe sath na rakhna aap ne mera uzr bahut maan liya aakhirkaar phir donon chal diye chalte chalte ek gaon mein pahunche gaon walon se khana manga unhon ne mehmani karne se inkar kar diya un ko wahan ek deewar nazar aayi jo girne ke qareeb thi, Hazrat Khizr Alaihis Salam ne hath ka ishara kar ke is ko seedha kar diya Hazrat.
Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), on the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying:
Once, Moses (peace be upon him) was standing before the Children of Israel, delivering a sermon. When he finished, a man asked him, "Who is the most knowledgeable among people?" Moses (peace be upon him) said, "I am the most knowledgeable." Allah disliked that Moses did not attribute knowledge to Him, so He revealed to Moses (peace be upon him), "There is a servant of Mine who is more knowledgeable than you." Moses (peace be upon him) asked, "O Allah, how can I meet him?" He was commanded, "Take a fish (wrapped) in a basket, and (set out on a journey). Where you lose the fish, you will find that man."
So, Moses (peace be upon him) took a fish and put it in a basket and set out. And what Allah has described happened. Until, after walking a long distance, they reached a town. They asked the townspeople for food, but they refused to host them. Then, Khidr (peace be upon him), describing the reality of the incident with the ship, said that they had broken it for the sake of the king, so that he might pass by without harm. And as for the boy, he was inherently disbelieving, while his parents were strong believers. If he were to live, he would have led them to transgression and disbelief. And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphaned boys in the city.

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بحوالہ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بنی اسرائیل کے سامنے کھڑے تقریر فرما رہے تھے تقریر ختم ہونے کے بعد ایک شخص نے دریافت کیا کہ سب سے بڑا عالم کون ہے؟ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا میں سب سے بڑا عالم ہوں اللہ تعالیٰ کو یہ بات ناگوار ہوئی کہ موسیٰ نے علم کو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف منسوب نہیں کیا لہٰذا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر وحی بھیجی کہ میرے بندوں میں سے ایک بندہ تم سے زیادہ عالم ہے۔ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے عرض کیا الہٰی اس سے ملاقات کس طرح ہوسکتی ہے؟ حکم دیا گیا کہ اپنے ساتھ زنبیل میں ایک (بھنی ہوئی) مچھلی رکھ لو (اور سفر کو چل دو) جہاں وہ مچھلی گم ہوجائے وہ شخص وہیں ملے گا۔
حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ایک مچھلی لے کر زنبیل میں ڈالی اور چل دیئے اور وہ قصہ پیش آیا جو اللہ نے بیان کیا ہے حتٰی کہ سب سے آخر میں چلتے چلتے ایک گاؤں میں پہنچے گاؤں والوں سے کھانا مانگا انہوں نے مہمانی کرنے سے انکار کردیا پھر حضرت خضر علیہ السلام نے ان کے سامنے کشتی والے واقعے کی حقیقت بیان کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ انہوں نے اسے بادشاہ کی وجہ سے توڑا تھا تاکہ وہ وہاں سے گذرے اس سے کوئی تعرض نہ کرے اور رہا لڑکا تو فطری طور پر وہ کافر تھا اس کے والدین اس پر بہت شفیق تھے اگر وہ زندہ رہتا تو انہیں سرکشی اور نافرمانی میں مبتلا کردیتا اور رہی دیوار تو وہ شہر میں دو یتیم لڑکوں کی تھی۔

Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam Ne Ek Machhli Lekar Zanbeel Mein Dali Aur Chal Diye Aur Wo Qissa Paish Aaya Jo Allah Ne Bayan Kiya Hai Hatta Ke Sab Se Aakhir Mein Chalte Chalte Ek Gaon Mein Pahunche Gaon Walon Se Khana Manga Unhon Ne Mehmnai Karne Se Inkar Kardiya Phir Hazrat Khizar Alaihissalam Ne Un Ke Samne Kashti Wale Waqeye Ki Haqeeqat Bayan Karte Huye Kaha Ke Unhon Ne Use Badshah Ki Wajah Se Tora Tha Taake Wo Wahan Se Guzre Iss Se Koi Tareez Na Kare Aur Raha Ladka To Fitri Taur Par Wo Kafir Tha Iss Ke Waldain Iss Par Bahut Shafeeq The Agar Wo Zinda Rehta To Unhen Sarkashi Aur Nafarmani Mein Mubtala Kardeta Aur Rahi Deewar To Wo Sheher Mein Do Yateem Ladkon Ki Thi
Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), on the authority of Ubayy bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The boy whom Khidr (peace be upon him) killed was inherently disbelieving. (If he were to live, he would have led his parents to disobedience and disbelief).

Hazrat Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se bahavala Abi bin Kaab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Hazrat Khizr alaihissalam ne jis ladke ko qatal kiya tha wo tiban kafir tha (agar wo zindagi pata to apne waldain ko bhi sarkashi aur kufr ke qareeb pahuncha deta).

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), on the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse: "If you ask me about anything after this, then do not accompany me. You have been fully informed..." I have also read the word "بلغت" with a shaddah, i.e., "بلّغت".

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), on the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse " If you were to ask me about anything after this, then do not accompany me. You have been fully informed......." [9:104] and he recited the word "Ballagta" with a Shadda on the letter 'L' (meaning he emphasized it).

Narrated by Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) from Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that when Gabriel (peace be upon him) struck the ground with his heel and brought forth the well of Zamzam, the mother of Ismail (peace be upon him) started gathering pebbles to make a small basin around it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "May Allah's mercy be upon Hajar (peace be upon her), the mother of Ismail (peace be upon him). Had she left it (as it was), it would have been a flowing spring. "

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بحوالہ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ جب حضرت جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے اپنی ایڑی مار کر زمزم کا کنواں جاری کیا تو حضرت اسماعیل علیہ السلام کی والدہ کنکریاں اکٹھی کر کے منڈیر بنانے لگیں نبی کریم ﷺ فرماتے ہیں حضرت حاجرہ (علیہا السلام) جو کہ حضرت اسماعیل علیہ السلام کی والدہ تھیں " پر اللہ کی رحمتیں نازل ہوں اگر وہ اسے یونہی چھوڑ دیتیں تو وہ ایک بہتا ہوا چشمہ ہوتا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas RA se bahavala Abi bin Kaab RA marvi hai ke jab Hazrat Jibraeel AS ne apni eri maar kar Zamzam ka kuwan jari kya to Hazrat Ismail AS ki walida kankriyan ikathi kar ke mundair banane lagi Nabi Kareem SAW farmate hain Hazrat Hajra AS jo ke Hazrat Ismail AS ki walida thin per Allah ki rehmaten nazil hon agar wo ise yunhi chhor detin to wo ek beheta hua chashma hota.
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), from Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed for someone, he would start with himself. So one day, mentioning Moses (peace be upon him), he said, "May the mercy of Allah be upon us and upon Moses. If he had been patient, Allah would have narrated other details of his incident as well, but he said, 'If I ask you anything after this, do not keep me with you. You have already received an excuse on my behalf.'"

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بحوالہ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب کسی کے لئے دعاء فرماتے تو اس کا آغاز اپنی ذات سے کرتے تھے چنانچہ ایک دن حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے فرمایا ہم پر اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر اللہ کی رحمتیں نازل ہوں اگر وہ صبر کرلیتے تو اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے واقعے کی دیگر تفصیلات بھی بیان فرما دیتا لیکن انہوں نے تو یہ کہہ دیا کہ اگر میں نے اس کے بعد آپ سے کوئی سوال پوچھا تو آپ مجھے اپنے ساتھ نہ رکھئے گا آپ میری طرف سے عذر کو پہنچ گئے ہیں۔ "
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma se behawala Ubay bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anhu marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam jab kisi ke liye dua farmate to is ka aghaz apni zaat se karte thay chunancha ek din Hazrat Moosa Alaihissalam ka zikar karte hue farmaya hum per aur Moosa Alaihissalam per Allah ki rehmaten nazil hon agar woh sabar karlete to Allah Ta'ala un ke waqeye ki deegar tafseelaat bhi bayan farma deta lekin unhon ne to yeh keh diya ki agar maine is ke baad aap se koi sawal poocha to aap mujhe apne sath na rakhye ga aap meri taraf se uzr ko pohanch gaye hain
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), from Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, interpreting the verse "And remind them of the days of Allah" (14:5), that "The days of Allah" refers to the blessings of Allah Almighty.

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بحوالہ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد باری تعالیٰ " وذکرہم بایام اللہ " کی تفسیر میں فرمایا کہ " ایام اللہ " سے مراد اللہ تعالیٰ کی نعمتیں ہیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma se behala Abi bin Kaab Radi Allaho Anhu marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne irshad bari tala "Wa Zakirhum Bi Ayyamillah" ki tafseer mein farmaya keh "Ayyamillah" se murad Allah Tala ki naimaten hain.
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas, through Abi bin Ka'b, that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned any prophet, he would start with himself. So one day he said, "May the mercy of Allah be upon us, and upon Hood and Saleh."

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بحوالہ ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب کسی نبی کا ذکر فرماتے تو اس کا آغاز اپنی ذات سے کرتے تھے چنانچہ ایک دن فرمایا ہم پر اور ہود علیہ السلام اور صالح علیہ السلام پر اللہ کی رحمتیں نازل ہوں۔

It is narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he and Harb bin Qais Fazari had a difference of opinion regarding the companion of Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, to whose land Musa had requested to travel. Ibn Abbas was of the opinion that it was Khidr (peace be upon him). Meanwhile, Abdullah bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by. Ibn Abbas called him and said, "My companion and I have a difference of opinion about who was the companion of Musa, to whom he had requested to travel. Did you ever hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mention anything in this regard?" He said, "Yes, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that once, Musa (peace be upon him) was addressing a gathering of Bani Israel when a man stood up and asked him, 'Is there anyone more knowledgeable than you in your time?' Musa said, 'No.' Upon this, Allah, the Exalted, revealed, 'There is a servant of Ours, Khidr, who is more knowledgeable than you.'"
Musa asked about the way to meet him. Allah said, "Take a fish with you as a sign. When you lose the fish, return to that place, for there you will meet him." Musa set out on a journey. At one stop, he said to his servant, "Bring us our breakfast, for we have faced great hardship in this journey." It was there that Musa found the fish missing. So they both returned, following their footsteps, and then the event occurred that Allah has described in His Book.

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ان کا اور حر بن قیس فزاری کا حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے اس رفیق کے متعلق اختلاف رائے ہوگیا جس طرف سفر کر کے جانے کی بارگاہ الہٰی میں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے درخواست کی تھی۔ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی رائے یہ تھی کہ وہ حضرت خضر علیہ السلام تھے اسی دوران وہاں سے حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کا گذر ہوا حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما انہیں پکار کر کہا کہ میرا اور میرے اس ساتھی کا اس بات میں اختلاف ہوگیا ہے کہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کا وہ ساتھی کون تھا جس کی طرف سفر کر کے ملنے کی درخواست انہوں نے کی تھی؟ کیا آپ نے اس حوالے سے نبی کریم ﷺ کو کچھ ذکر کرتے ہوئے سنا ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام بنی اسرائیل کے کسی اجتماع سے خطاب فرما رہے تھے کہ ایک آدمی نے کھڑے ہو کر ان سے پوچھا کہ آپ کے عمل میں اپنے سے بڑا کوئی عالم بھی ہے؟ حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا نہیں اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے یہ وحی آئی کہ ہمارا ایک بندہ خضر تم سے بڑا عالم ہے۔
حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے ان سے ملنے کا طریقہ پوچھا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایک مچھلی کو ان کے لئے نشانی قرار دیتے ہوئے فرمایا جب تم مچھلی کو نہ پاؤ تو واپس آجانا کیونکہ وہیں پر تمہاری ان سے ملاقات ہوجائے گی حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام سفر پر روانہ ہوئے تو ایک منزل پر پڑاؤ کیا اور اپنے خادم سے کہنے لگے ہمارا ناشتہ لاؤ اس سفر میں تو ہمیں بڑی مشقت کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ہے وہیں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے مچھلی کو غائب پایا تو دونوں اپنے نشانات قدم پر چلتے ہوئے واپس لوٹے اور پھر وہ قصہ پیش آیا جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنی کتاب میں بیان فرمایا ہے۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba unka aur Har bin Qais Fazari ka Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam ke us rafiq ke mutalliq ikhtilaf rae ho gaya jis taraf safar kar ke jane ki bargah ilahi mein Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam ne darkhwast ki thi. Hazrat Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ki rae ye thi ki woh Hazrat Khidr Alaihissalam the isi dauran wahan se Hazrat Abi bin Kab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka guzar hua. Hazrat Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a unhen pukar kar kaha ki mera aur mere iss saathi ka iss baat mein ikhtilaf ho gaya hai ki Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam ka woh saathi kaun tha jis ki taraf safar kar ke milne ki darkhwast unhon ne ki thi? Kya aap ne iss hawale se Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko kuchh zikar karte hue suna hai? Unhon ne farmaya haan mein ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna hai ki ek martaba Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam Bani Israel ke kisi ijtima se khitab farma rahe the ki ek aadmi ne khde ho kar unse pucha ki aap ke amal mein apne se bada koi Aalim bhi hai? Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam ne farmaya nahin iss par Allah Ta'ala ki taraf se ye wahi aai ki hamara ek banda Khidr tumse bada Aalim hai.
Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam ne unse milne ka tarika pucha to Allah Ta'ala ne ek machhli ko unke liye nishani karar dete hue farmaya jab tum machhli ko na pao to wapas aa jana kyunki wahin par tumhari unse mulaqat ho jayegi. Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam safar par rawana hue to ek manzil par padav kiya aur apne khadim se kehne lage hamara nashta lao iss safar mein to hamen badi mushkil ka samna karna pada hai wahin Hazrat Musa Alaihissalam ne machhli ko ghaib paya to donon apne nishan e kadam par chalte hue wapas lautے aur phir woh qissa pesh aaya jo Allah Ta'ala ne apni kitab mein bayan farmaya hai.
