Saeed bin Jubair narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray Zuhr and Asr together, and similarly Maghrib and Isha together, without being in a state of fear or travel. Imam Malik said: I think he used to do this because of rain.

(٥٥٤٣) سعید بن جبیر ابن عباس (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ظہر اور عصر کو اکٹھے پڑھتے تھے۔ اسی طرح مغرب اور عشا کو بغیر خوف اور سفر کے بھی۔ امام مالک فرماتے ہیں : میرا خیال یہ ہے کہ ایسا بارش کی وجہ سے فرماتے تھے۔
Saeed bin Jubair Ibn Abbas (RA) se naql farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (SAW) Zuhr aur Asr ko ikatthe parhte thay. Isi tarah Maghrib aur Isha ko baghair khauf aur safar ke bhi. Imam Malik farmate hain: Mera khayal yeh hai ke aisa baarish ki wajah se farmate thay.
He narrated from Hammad bin Salama Abu Zubair, without any fear or journey, but they did not mention Maghrib and Isha, and both of them were in Medina at that time. Qurrah bin Khalid narrated from Abu Zubair that this is the story of the journey that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) undertook towards Tabuk.

(٥٥٤٤) حماد بن سلمہ ابو زبیر سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ بغیر خوف اور سفر کے، لیکن انھوں نے مغرب اور عشاکا تذکرہ نہیں کیا اور وہ دونوں اس وقت مدینہ میں تھے۔ قرۃ بن خالد ابو زبیر سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ یہ اس سفرکاقصہ ہے جو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تبوک کی جانب کیا۔
Hamad bin Salma Abu Zubair se naqal farmate hain ke baghair khauf aur safar ke, lekin unhon ne maghrib aur isha ka tazkira nahin kiya aur wo donon us waqt Madina mein thay. Qurat bin Khalid Abu Zubair se riwayat karte hain ke ye us safar ka qissa hai jo aap ne Tabuk ki jaanib kiya.
Saeed bin Jubair narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined the Zuhr and Asr prayers in Medina, without any fear or being on a journey. Abu Zubair said: I asked Saeed: Why did you (the Prophet) do that? He said: I asked Ibn Abbas the same question as you asked me. He said: Your (the Prophet's) intention was that no one in the Ummah should be inconvenienced.

(٥٥٤٥) سعید بن جبیر ابن عباس (رض) نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مدینہ میں ظہر، عصر بغیر خوف اور سفر کے جمع کر کے پڑھیں۔ ابو زبیر فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے سعید سے پوچھا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایسا کیوں کیا ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : میں نے بھی ابن عباس سے اس طرح سوال کیا تھا جیسے آپ نے مجھ سے سوال کیا۔ انھوں نے فرمایا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ارادہ یہ تھا کہ امت میں سے کسی پر حرج نہ ہو۔
(5545) Saeed bin Jubair Ibn Abbas (RA) naql farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (SAW) ne Madinah mein Zuhr, Asr baghair khauf aur safar ke jama kar ke parhin. Abu Zubair farmate hain ke maine Saeed se poocha : Aap (SAW) ne aisa kyun kiya? Unhon ne farmaya : Maine bhi Ibn Abbas se is tarah sawal kiya tha jaise aap ne mujh se sawal kiya. Unhon ne farmaya : Aap (SAW) ka irada yeh tha ke ummat mein se kisi par haraj na ho.
Saeed bin Jubair narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers in Madinah without being afraid or traveling.

(٥٥٤٦) سعید بن جبیر ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مدینہ میں ظہر اور عصر کو بغیر خوف اور سفر کے جمع کیا۔

(5547) (a) Jabir bin Zaid narrates: I heard from Ibn Abbas, who said that I prayed eight or seven prayers with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) together.
(b) Saeed bin Jubayr narrates from Ibn Abbas that I asked Ibn Abbas: Why did you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) do this? He said: So that there may be no difficulty for your (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) Ummah. Sufiyan added some words, saying: without fear and travel.

(٥٥٤٧) (الف) جابر بن زید فرماتے ہیں : میں نے ابن عباس سے سنا وہ کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ آٹھ یا سات نمازیں اکٹھی پڑھی ہیں۔
(ب) سعید بن جبیر ابن عباس سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس سے کہا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایسا کیوں کیا ؟ فرمایا : تاکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی امت پر حرج نہ ہو۔ سفیان نے کچھ الفاظ زائدبیان کیے ہیں کہ بغیر خوف اور سفر کے۔
(5547) (alif) Jabir bin Zaid farmate hain : mein ne Ibn Abbas se suna woh keh mein ne Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) ke sath aath ya saat namazen ekthi parhi hain.
(be) Saeed bin Jabir Ibn Abbas se naqal farmate hain keh mein ne Ibn Abbas se kaha : aap (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) ne aisa kyon kiya ? Farmaya : taka aap (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) ki ummat par harj na ho. Sufiyan ne kuch alfaz zaid bayan kiye hain keh baghair khauf aur safar ke.
Saeed bin Jubair narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) combined the Zuhr and Asr prayers, and the Maghrib and Isha prayers in Madinah, without being in a state of fear or travel. I said: "O Abbas! What was the intention of the Prophet (ﷺ)?" He replied: "So that there may be no difficulty for your Ummah."

(٥٥٤٨) سعید بن جبیر عبداللہ بن عباس سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مدینہ میں ظہر، عصر ، مغرب اور عشابغیر خوف اور سفر کے ان کو جمع کیا۔ میں نے کہا : اے عباس ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا کیا ارادہ تھا ؟ فرمایا : تاکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی امت پر تنگی نہ ہو۔
(5548) Saeed bin Jubair Abdullah bin Abbas se naqal farmate hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Madinah mein Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib aur Isha baghair khauf aur safar ke in ko jama kiya. Maine kaha: Aye Abbas! Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka kya irada tha? Farmaya: Taake aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki ummat par tangi na ho.
Saeed bin Jubair narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha prayers during the expedition of Tabuk. I said to Ibn Abbas: "What prompted him to do that?" He said: "So that there would be no hardship on the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."

(٥٥٤٩) سعید بن جبیر ابن عباس سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے غزوہ تبوک کے سفر میں ظہرو عصر اور مغرب و عشا کو جمع کیا۔ میں نے ابن عباس سے کہا : کس چیز نے آپ کو اس پر ابھارا ؟ فرمایا : تاکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی امت پر تنگی نہ ہو۔
Saeed bin Jubair ibn Abbas se naql farmate hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Ghazwa Tabuk ke safar mein Zuhr o Asr aur Maghrib o Isha ko jama kia. Maine ibn Abbas se kaha: Kis cheez ne aap ko is par ubhaara? Farmaya: Taake aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki ummat par tangi na ho.
(5550) (a) Sa'eed bin Jubair narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers, and the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers in Madinah, without any fear or rain. It was said: What was your intention, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "So that there may be no difficulty for my Ummah."
(b) Wakee' narrated in his narration that Sa'eed said: "I asked Ibn 'Abbas why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did that? He said: 'So that there may be no difficulty for his Ummah.'"

(٥٥٥٠) (الف) سعید بن جبیر ابن عباس (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مدینہ میں ظہر، عصر اور مغرب، عشابغیر خوف اور بارش کے جمع کیں۔ کہا گیا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا کیا ارادہ تھا ؟ فرمایا : تاکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی امت پر تنگی نہ ہو۔
(ب) وکیع اپنی حدیث میں بیان کرتے ہیں کہ سعید نے کہا : میں نے ابن عباس سے کہا تھا کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایسا کیوں کیا ؟ تو انھوں نے فرمایا : تاکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی امت پر تنگی نہ ہو۔
(5550) (Alif) Saeed bin Jubair Ibn Abbas (RA) se naqal farmate hain ki Nabi (SAW) ne Madinah mein Zuhr, Asr aur Maghrib, Isha baghair khauf aur barish ke jama ki. Kaha gaya: Aap (SAW) ka kya irada tha? Farmaya: Taake aap (SAW) ki ummat par tangi na ho.
(B) Waqi apni hadees mein bayan karte hain ki Saeed ne kaha: Mein ne Ibn Abbas se kaha tha ki Nabi (SAW) ne aisa kyon kiya? To unhon ne farmaya: Taake aap (SAW) ki ummat par tangi na ho.
(551) (a) Jabir bin Zaid narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha seven or eight times in Medina.
(b) At the end of the hadith of Hammad bin Zaid, it is stated that Ayub said: “Perhaps it was a rainy night.”
(c) Amr bin Dinar said that he (the Prophet) encouraged delaying Zuhr and praying Asr early.

(٥٥١) (الف) جابر بن زید ابن عباس (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مدینہ میں ظہرو عصر اور مغر ب و عشا کو سات ، آٹھ مرتبہ جمع کیا۔
(ب) حماد بن زید کی حدیث کے آخر میں ہے کہ ایوب کہتے ہیں : شاید بارش والی رات۔
(ج) عمرو بن دینار کہتے ہیں کہ اس نے ا ظہر کو مؤخر کرنے پر اور عصر کو جلد پڑھنے پر ابھارا۔
551 A Jaber bin Zaid Ibn Abbas (RA) se naqal farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (SAW) ne Madinah mein Zuhr o Asr aur Maghrib o Isha ko saat, aath martaba jama kiya.
B Hammad bin Zaid ki hadees ke akhir mein hai ke Ayub kahte hain: shayad barish wali raat.
C Amr bin Dinar kahte hain ke usne Zuhr ko mukhar karne par aur Asr ko jald padhne par ubhara.
Jabir bin Zaid narrated that he heard from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he prayed seven or eight times with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by combining the prayers. I said: "O Abu Sha'tha'! I think that you used to delay Zuhr and pray Asr early, and pray Maghrib late and Isha early." He said: "That is also my guess."

(٥٥٥٢) جابر بن زید فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس (رض) سے سنا کہ میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ سات یا آٹھ مرتبہ نمازوں کو جمع کر کے پڑھا ہے۔ میں نے کہا : اے ابو شعثائ ! میرا خیال ہے کہ آپ ظہر کو مؤخر کرتے اور عصر کو جلدی پڑھتے اور مغرب کو دیر سے اور عشا کو جلدی پڑھتے۔ فرمایا : میرا بھی وہیگمان ہے۔
Jaber bin Zaid farmate hain keh maine Ibn Abbas (RA) se suna keh maine Nabi (SAW) ke sath saat ya aath martaba namaazon ko jama kar ke parha hai. Maine kaha: Aye Abu Sha'asai! Mera khayal hai keh aap Zuhr ko mukhar karte aur Asr ko jaldi parhte aur Maghrib ko der se aur Isha ko jaldi parhte. Farmaya: Mera bhi wohi guman hai.
Abdullah bin Shaqiq reported: One day after the 'Asr prayer, Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon. The sun set and the stars appeared. The people started saying: "Prayer! Prayer!" A man from Banu Tamim came and kept saying: "Prayer! Prayer!" Ibn 'Abbas said to him, "May you be deprived of your mother's love! Let me finish." Then he said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combining Zuhr and 'Asr, and Maghrib and 'Isha." Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: I had some doubts in my heart, so I went to Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about it, and he confirmed what Ibn 'Abbas had said.

(٥٥٥٣) عبداللہ بن شقیق فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک دن عصر کے بعد ابن عباس (رض) نے خطبہ دیا، سورج غروب ہوگیا اور ستارے ظاہر ہوگئے۔ لوگ کہنے لگے : نماز ! نماز ! بنو تمیم کا ایک شخص آیا اور مسلسل کہہ رہا تھا : نماز ! نماز ! تو انھوں نی فرمایا : تیری ماں نہ ہو تو مجھے سنتسکھائے گا ! پھر فرمایا : میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا، وہ ظہر وعصر اور مغرب و عشا کو جمع کرلیتے تھے۔ عبداللہ بن شقیق فرماتے ہیں : میرے دل میں کوئی بات کھٹکی تو میں ابوہریرہ (رض) کے پاس آیا تو میں نے ان سے سوال کیا ، آپ (رض) نے بھی ان کی تصدیق کردی۔
(5553) Abdullah bin Shaqiq farmate hain ki aik din Asar ke bad Ibn Abbas (RA) ne khutba diya, Suraj ghuroob hogaya aur sitare zahir hogaye. Log kahne lage: Namaz! Namaz! Banu Tamim ka aik shakhs aaya aur musalsal kah raha tha: Namaz! Namaz! To unhon ne farmaya: Teri maan na ho to mujhe sant sikhayega! Phir farmaya: Maine Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha, woh Zuhr o Asar aur Maghrib o Isha ko jama karlete thay. Abdullah bin Shaqiq farmate hain: Mere dil mein koi baat khatki to main Abu Hurairah (RA) ke pass aaya to maine unse sawal kiya, aap (RA) ne bhi unki tasdeeq kardi.
(5554) (a) Abdullah bin Shaqiq al-Uqayli reported: A person asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): [What about] the prayer? He remained silent. He asked again: [What about] the prayer? He again remained silent. He asked again: [What about] the prayer? He again remained silent. He then said: May you have no mother! You should teach us about the prayer. We used to combine these two prayers during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
(b) The two hadiths of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) do not negate [combining prayers during] rain or journey, but rather both [excuses] can be applied to either [prayer].

(٥٥٥٤) (الف) عبداللہ بنشقیق عقیلی فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے ابن عباس (رض) سیکہا : نماز ! وہ خاموش رہے۔ اس نے پھر کہا : نماز ! وہ پھر خاموش رہے۔ اس نے پھر کہا : نماز ! وہ پھر خاموش رہے۔ پھر فرمایا : تیری ماں نہ ہو تو ہمیں نماز سکھاتا ہے ! ہم ان دو نمازوں کو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دور میں جمع کرلیتے تھے۔
(ب) ابن عباس (رض) کی دونوں احادیث میں بارش اور سفر کی نفی نہیں ہے، بلکہ دونوں کو کسی ایک پر محمول کیا جائے گا۔
(5554) (alif) Abdullah bin Shaqiq Aqeeli farmate hain ke aik shakhs ne Ibn Abbas (raz) se kaha: Namaz! Woh khamosh rahe. Us ne phir kaha: Namaz! Woh phir khamosh rahe. Us ne phir kaha: Namaz! Woh phir khamosh rahe. Phir farmaya: Teri maan na ho to humain namaz sikhata hai! Hum in do namaazon ko Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke daur mein jama karlete thay.
(be) Ibn Abbas (raz) ki donon ahadees mein barish aur safar ki nafi nahin hai, balke donon ko kisi aik par mahmool kiya jayega.
Muadh bin Abdullah bin Khabib narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (the Prophet) combined the two prayers (Maghrib and Isha) before the disappearance of twilight.

(٥٥٥٥) معاذ بن عبداللہ بن خبیب ابن عباس (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں ان دو نمازوں (مغرب اور عشا) کو شفق غائب ہونے سی پہلے جمع کیا۔
Muaz bin Abdullah bin Habib Ibn Abbas (RA) se riwayat karte hain ki unhon in do namaazon (Maghrib aur Isha) ko shafaq ghaib hone se pehle jama kiya.
Nafi' narrates from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the leaders combined Maghrib and Isha prayers, he would also combine them with them on a rainy night.

(٥٥٥٦) نافع ابن عمر (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ جب امراء مغرب اور عشاکو جمع کرتے تو وہ بھی ان کے ساتھ بارش والی رات میں جمع کرتے۔
(5556) Nafi ibn Umar (RA) se riwayat karte hain ki jab umara maghrib aur isha ko jama karte to wo bhi un ke sath barish wali raat mein jama karte.
Hisham bin Urwah reported from his father, Said bin Musayyab, that Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman bin Harith bin Hisham bin Mughirah Makhzumi, all of them used to combine Maghrib and Isha prayers on rainy nights, and they did not see any harm in it.

(٥٥٥٧) ہشام بن عروہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ان کے والد، سعید بن مسیب ، ابوبکر بن عبد الرحمن بن حارث بن ہشام بن مغیرۃ مخزومی یہ سب حضرات بارش والی رات میں مغرب اور عشا کو جمع کرلیتے تھے اور اس کا انکار نہیں کرتے تھے۔
Hisham bin Urwah farmate hain keh unk walid, Saeed bin Musayyab, Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rehman bin Haris bin Hisham bin Mughirah Makhzoomi yeh sab hazrat barish wali raat mein Maghrib aur Isha ko jama karlete thy aur iska inkar nahin karte thy.
Musa bin Uqba narrated from Umar bin Abdul Aziz that when it rained, he would combine Maghrib and Isha prayers. Saeed bin Musayyib, Urwah bin Zubair, Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman, and others used to pray with him, and they did not object to it.

(٥٥٥٨) موسیٰ بن عقبہ حضرت عمر بن عبد العزیز سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ جب بارش ہوتی تو وہ مغرب اور عشاکو جمع کرلیتے تھے۔ سعید بن مسیب، عروہ بن زبیر، ابوبکر بن عبد الرحمن وغیرہحضرات بھی ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھتے تھے اور وہ اس کا انکار نہیں کرتے تھے۔
(5558) Musa bin Uqba Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz se naql farmate hain ki jab barish hoti to woh Maghrib aur Isha ko jama karlete thay. Saeed bin Musayyab, Urwah bin Zubair, Abu Bakr bin Abdul Rahman waghaira hazrat bhi unke sath namaz parhte thay aur woh iska inkar nahin karte thay.
