It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to lead us in prayer, he would recite Surah Fatiha and another Surah in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and Asr, and sometimes he would let us hear a verse of it. And in the last two rak'ahs, he would only recite Surah Fatiha. He would recite a long recitation in the first rak'ah of Fajr prayer.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ ہماری امامت فرماتے تھے تو ظہر اور عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں سورت فاتحہ اور کوئی سورت ملاتے تھے جس کی کوئی آیت کبھی کبھار ہمیں بھی سنا دیتے تھے اور آخری دو رکعتوں میں صرف سورت فاتحہ پڑھتے تھے فجر کی نماز میں پہلی رکعت لمبی پڑھاتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hamari imamat farmate thy to Zuhr aur Asr ki pehli do rakaton mein Surah Fatiha aur koi surat milate thy jis ki koi ayat kabhi kabhar hamein bhi suna dete thy aur aakhri do rakaton mein sirf Surah Fatiha parhte thy Fajr ki namaz mein pehli rakat lambi parhate thy.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the making of wine by mixing ripe dates, dried dates, raisins, green dates (fresh dates), and wet dates.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے کچی اور پکی کھجور کشمش اور کجھور سرخ کچی کھجور اور تر کھجور کو ملا کر نبیذ بنانے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kachi aur pakki khajoor kishmish aur kajhur surkh kachi khajoor aur tar khajoor ko mila kar nabiz banane se mana farmaya hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was leading the funeral prayer of someone. I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying: "O Allah! Forgive our living and dead, those present and absent, our young and old, and our men and women." Abu Salma has also narrated this addition in it that (the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said): "O Allah! From amongst us, whomever You keep alive, keep them alive on Islam and whomever You cause to die, grant them death with faith."

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے کسی کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی میں بھی موجود تھا، میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ دعاء کرتے ہوئے سنا کہ اے اللہ! ہمارے زندہ اور فوت شدہ موجود اور غیر موجود چھوٹوں اور بڑوں اور مرد و عورت کو معاف فرما۔ ابو سلمہ نے اس میں یہ اضافہ بھی نقل کیا ہے کہ اے اللہ! تو ہم میں سے جسے زندہ رکھے اسے اسلام پر زندہ رکھ اور جسے موت دے اسے ایمان پر موت عطاء فرما۔
Hazrat Abu Qatadah razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi ki namaz janaza parhayi mein bhi mojood tha, maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye dua karte huye suna ki aye Allah! Humare zinda aur faut shuda mojood aur ghair mojood chhoton aur baron aur mard o aurat ko maaf farma. Abu Salma ne is mein ye izafa bhi naqal kia hai ki aye Allah! Tu hum mein se jise zinda rakhe use Islam par zinda rakh aur jise mout de use iman par mout ata farma.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the ruling on fasting on the day of Arafah. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I hope from Allah that it will atone for the sins of the past and the coming year." The questioner asked about the ruling on fasting on the day of Ashura, so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I hope from Allah that it will atone for the sins of the past year."

حضرت ابو قتادہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا یوم عرفہ کے روزے کا کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا مجھے بارگاہ الٰہی سے امید ہے کہ اس سے گزشتہ اور آئندہ سال کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہوجاتا ہے سائل نے یوم عاشورہ کے روزے کا حکم پوچھا تو فرمایا مجھے بارگاہ الٰہی سے امید ہے کہ اس سے گزشتہ سال کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہوجاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatadah Ansari razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek aadmi ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha Youm e Arafah ke roze ka kya hukum hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mujhe bargah ilahi se umeed hai ki is se guzishta aur aanda saal ke gunahon ka kaffara hojata hai sail ne Youm e Ashura ke roze ka hukum poocha to farmaya mujhe bargah ilahi se umeed hai ki is se guzishta saal ke gunahon ka kaffara hojata hai
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When the Iqamah (call to prayer) is pronounced, do not stand until you see me.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب نماز کے لئے اقامت کہی جائے تو اس وقت تک کھڑے نہ ہوا کرو جب تک مجھے دیکھ نہ لو۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab namaz ke liye iqamat kahi jaye to us waqt tak khare na hua karo jab tak mujhe dekh na lo.
Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) had lent money to a man. When he would go to ask for it back, the man would hide. One day, he went to the man's house and a child came out. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) inquired about the man, and the child said that he was inside eating. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) called out to the man by name, saying that he knew he was inside. The man came out, and Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him why he kept hiding. The man said that he was poor and had nothing. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him to swear by Allah that he had nothing. The man swore that he truly had nothing. Upon hearing this, Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) started crying and said that he had heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say that whoever gives respite to a borrower who is experiencing hardship or forgives the debt will be in the shade of the Throne of Allah on the Day of Judgement.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا ایک آدمی پر قرض تھا وہ اس سے تقاضا کرنے کے لئے جاتے تو وہ چھپ جاتا ایک دن وہ اس کے گھر پہنچے تو ایک بچہ وہاں سے نکلا انہوں نے اس بچے سے اس کے متعلق پوچھا تو اس نے بتایا کہ ہاں! وہ گھر میں ہیں اور کھانا کھا رہے ہیں حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کا نام لے کر اسے آواز دی کہ باہر آؤ، مجھے پتہ چل گیا ہے کہ تم اندر ہی ہو وہ باہر آیا تو انہوں نے اس سے پوچھا کہ تم مجھ سے کیوں چھپتے پھر رہے ہو؟ اس نے کہا کہ میں تنگدست ہوں اور میرے پاس کچھ نہیں ہے انہوں نے فرمایا اللہ کی قسم کھا کر کہو کہ تمہارے پاس کچھ نہیں ہے؟ اس نے کہا کہ واقعی ایسا ہی ہے اس پر حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ رو پڑے اور فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جو شخص اپنے مقروض کو مہلت دے دے یا اس کا قرض معاف کر دے تو وہ قیامت کے دن عرش الہٰی کے سائے میں ہوگا۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu ka aik aadmi par qarz tha woh us se taqaza karne ke liye jate to woh chhup jata aik din woh us ke ghar pahunche to aik bachcha wahan se nikla unhon ne us bachche se us ke mutalliq poocha to us ne bataya ke haan! woh ghar mein hain aur khana kha rahe hain Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu ne us ka naam le kar use aawaz di ke bahar aao, mujhe pata chal gaya hai ke tum andar hi ho woh bahar aaya to unhon ne us se poocha ke tum mujh se kyon chhupte phir rahe ho? us ne kaha ke main tangdast hun aur mere pass kuch nahi hai unhon ne farmaya Allah ki qasam kha kar kaho ke tumhare pass kuch nahi hai? us ne kaha ke waqai aisa hi hai is par Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu ro pade aur farmaya ke main ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ke jo shakhs apne maqrooz ko mohlat de de ya us ka qarz maaf kar de to woh qayamat ke din arsh elahi ke saye mein hoga.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he hunted a zebra. When they reached the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), they asked him about it. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the state of Ihram. He asked, "Do you have any of it left?" Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate from it or allowed the people to eat it.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ انہوں نے ایک گورخر کا شکار کیا جب وہ لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس پہنچے تو اس کے متعلق سوال کیا نبی کریم ﷺ حالت احرام تھے انہوں نے فرمایا کیا تمہارے پاس اس میں سے کچھ بچا ہے؟ پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے تناول فرمایا یا لوگوں کو کھانے کی اجازت دے دی۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba unhon ne ek gorakhhar ka shikar kya jab wo log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass pahunche to iske mutalliq sawal kya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) halat ehraam the unhon ne farmaya kya tumhare pass isme se kuch bacha hai phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ise تناول farmaaya ya logon ko khane ki ijazat de di.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the people: “Do you recite (Quran) behind me in prayer?” The people replied, “Yes”. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not do so except for reciting Surah Fatiha”.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے لوگوں سے پوچھا کیا تم میرے پیچھے نماز میں قرأت کرتے ہو؟ لوگوں نے کہا جی ہاں! نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایسا مت کیا کرو الاّ یہ کہ سورت فاتحہ پڑھ لو۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne logon se poocha kya tum mere peeche namaz mein qirat karte ho? Logon ne kaha ji han! Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya aisa mat kiya karo illa ye ki Surah Fatiha padh lo.
It is narrated by Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, if I am martyred in the way of Allah recently, that I remain steadfast with the intention of reward, move forward and do not retreat, will Allah, by His grace, atone for all my sins?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Yes! If you are martyred like this, Allah will atone for your sins." After a while, the man asked the same question again, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the same answer but with this exception, "Except for debt," and said that Gabriel (peace be upon him) has just told me the same.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! یہ بتائیے کہ اگر میں اللہ کی راہ میں حال ہی میں شہید ہوجاؤں کہ میں ثواب کی نیت سے ثابت قدم رہاہوں آگے بڑھا ہوں پیچھے نہ ہٹا ہوں تو کیا اللہ اس کی برکت سے میرے سارے گناہوں کا کفارہ فرما دے گا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ہاں! اگر تم اسی طرح شہید ہوئے ہو تو اللہ تمہارے گناہوں کا کفارہ فرما دے گا کچھ دیر گذرنے کے بعد اس شخص نے دوبارہ یہی سوال کیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے یہی جواب دیا لیکن اس میں یہ استثناء کردیا کہ " قرض کے علاوہ " اور فرمایا کہ حضرت جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے ابھی ابھی مجھے اسی طرح بتایا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek aadmi ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha Ya Rasul Allah yeh bataiye ki agar mein Allah ki rah mein haal hi mein shaheed hojaun ki mein sawab ki niyat se saatqidam raha hun aage badha hun peeche na hata hun to kya Allah uski barkat se mere sare gunahon ka kaffara farma de ga Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Haan agar tum isi tarah shaheed huye ho to Allah tumhare gunahon ka kaffara farma de ga kuch der guzarne ke baad us shakhs ne dobara yahi sawal kiya to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne yahi jawab diya lekin usme yeh istesna kar diya ki qarz ke ilawa aur farmaya ki Hazrat Jibraeel Alaihissalam ne abhi abhi mujhe isi tarah bataya hai
Narrated Abu Qatada (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) led us in prayer and would recite (Quran) in the first two rak'ahs of the Zuhr prayer, sometimes reciting a verse loud enough for us to hear. He would lengthen the first rak'ah and shorten the second. He would do the same in the Fajr prayer, lengthening the first rak'ah and shortening the second. He would also recite in the first two rak'ahs of the 'Asr prayer.

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade making wine by mixing fresh dates, dry dates, raisins, pressed dates, unripe dates, and wet dates.

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution and offered prayer in the land of Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) near the water spring in Harrah. Then he said, “O Allah! Your Khalil (friend), Your servant and Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) (peace be upon him) prayed to You for the people of Makkah and I, Your servant, Prophet and Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), am praying to You for the people of Madinah in the same way that You bless their Sa' (a measure) of food grains and fruits. O Allah! Make Madinah beloved to us in our eyes just as You have granted us the love of Makkah al-Mukarramah and transfer its epidemics to 'Kham'. O Allah! I declare the area between the two lava fields of Madinah Munawwarah as Haram (sanctuary), just as You declared Makkah al-Mukarramah as Haram through the tongue of Ibrahim (Abraham) (peace be upon him).”

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے وضو کیا اور حرہ میں پانی کے گھاٹ کے قریب حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کی زمین میں نماز پڑھی، پھر فرمایا اے اللہ! تیرے خلیل، بندے اور نبی ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے تجھ سے اہل مکہ کے لئے دعاء مانگی تھی اور میں تیرے بندہ، نبی اور رسول محمد ﷺ تجھ سے اہل مدینہ کے لئے اس طرح دعاء مانگ رہا ہوں کہ تو ان کے صاع مد اور پھلوں میں برکت عطاء فرما، اے اللہ! ہماری نظروں میں مدینہ کو بھی اس طرح محبوب بنا جیسے مکہ مکرمہ کی محبت ہمیں عطاء فرمائی ہے اور یہاں کی وباؤں کو " خم " کی طرف منتقل فرما اے اللہ میں مدینہ منورہ کے دونوں کناروں کے درمیان کی جگہ کو حرم قرار دیتا ہوں جیسے تو نے ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی زبانی مکہ مکرمہ کو حرم قرار دیا۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Razi Allah Anhu se marvi ke aik martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne wuzu kiya aur Harrah mein pani ke ghat ke qareeb Hazrat Saad Razi Allah Anhu ki zameen mein namaz parhi, phir farmaya aye Allah! Tere Khalil, bande aur Nabi Ibrahim Alaihissalam ne tujhse ahle Makkah ke liye dua maangi thi aur mein tere banda, Nabi aur Rasool Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tujhse ahle Madinah ke liye is tarah dua maang raha hun ke tu unke sa'a mudd aur phalon mein barkat ata farma, aye Allah! Hamari nazron mein Madinah ko bhi is tarah mahboob bana jaise Makkah Mukarramah ki mohabbat hamein ata farmaayi hai aur yahan ki wabaon ko "Khum" ki taraf muntaqil farma aye Allah mein Madinah Munawwarah ke donon kinaron ke darmiyan ki jagah ko haram qarar deta hun jaise tu ne Ibrahim Alaihissalam ki zubani Makkah Mukarramah ko haram qarar diya.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and other companions (may Allah be pleased with them) stood for prayer and prayed. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Pray this prayer at this time tomorrow also."

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ اور دیگر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم نماز کے لئے کھڑے ہوئے نماز پڑھی اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کل بھی اس نماز کو اس وقت پڑھنا۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Radi Allaho Anhu se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam aur digar Sahaba Kiram Radi Allaho Anhum namaz ke liye kharay huye namaz parhi aur Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya kal bhi is namaz ko is waqt parhna.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to stay somewhere at night, he would lie down on his right side. And if he happened to stay a little before dawn, he would rest his elbows on the ground and place his head between his palms (so as not to fall asleep).

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب کبھی رات کے وقت کہیں پڑاؤ ڈالتے تو دائیں پہلو پر لیٹا کرتے تھے اور اگر صبح صادق سے تھوڑی ہی دیرپہلے پڑاؤ کیا ہوتا تو اپنی کہنیوں کو زمین پر ٹکا کر اپنا سر دونوں ہتھیلیوں کے درمیان رکھ لیتے تھے (تاکہ نیند نہ آئے)
Hazrat Abu Qatadah Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab kabhi raat ke waqt kahin paradao daalte to dayen pehlu par leta karte thay aur agar subah sadiq se thori hi der pehle paradao kiya hota to apni kohniyon ko zameen par tika kar apna sar donon hatheliyon ke darmiyan rakh lete thay (taake neend na aaye).
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When the Iqamah (call to start prayer) is pronounced, do not stand until you see me.

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When any of you drinks, he should not breathe into the vessel, and when he enters the lavatory, he should not touch his private parts with his right hand.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص کچھ پیئے تو برتن میں سانس نہ لے جب بیت الخلاء میں داخل ہو تو دائیں ہاتھ سے شرمگاہ کو نہ چھوئے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya jab tum mein se koi shakhs kuch piye to bartan mein saans na le jab bait ul khala mein dakhil ho to daayen hath se sharamgah ko na chhuye.
Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Good dreams are from Allah, and bad dreams are from Satan. So whoever sees a dream that he dislikes, let him not tell anyone about it, but let him spit dryly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, for it will not harm him then."

حضرت ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا اچھے خواب اللہ کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اور برے خواب شیطان کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اس لئے جو شخص کوئی ناپسندیدہ خواب دیکھے تو کسی کے سامنے اسے بیان نہ کرے بلکہ خواب دیکھ کر اپنی بائیں جانب تین مرتبہ تھتکار دے اور اس کے شر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگے، اس طرح وہ خواب اسے کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکے گا۔

Kabsha bint Ka'b, who was the wife of the son of Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him), said: "Once Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) came to my house and I placed water for him to perform ablution. Meanwhile, a cat came and started drinking water from the same utensil. Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) tilted the utensil for it until the cat quenched its thirst. He saw that I was looking at him in surprise, so he said, 'O niece! Are you surprised by this?' I said, 'Yes!' He said, 'The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'It is not impure, because it is an animal that frequently visits your homes.'"

کبشہ بنت کعب جو حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے بیٹے کے نکاح میں تھیں " کہتی ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ ان کے یہاں آئے کبشہ نے ان کے لئے وضو کا پانی رکھا اسی دوران ایک بلی آئی اور اسی برتن میں سے پانی پینے لگی حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کے لئے برتن ٹیڑھا کردیا، یہاں تک کہ بلی سیراب ہوگئی انہوں نے دیکھا کہ میں تعجب سے ان کی طرف دیکھ رہی ہوں تو فرمایا بھتیجی! کیا تمہیں اس سے تعجب ہو رہا ہے؟ میں نے کہا جی ہاں! انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ہے یہ ناپاک نہیں ہوتی کیونکہ یہ تمہارے گھروں میں بار بار آنے والا جانور ہے۔
Kabsha bint Kab jo Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke bete ke nikah mein thin, kehti hain ke ek martaba Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) un ke yahan aaye. Kabsha ne un ke liye wuzu ka pani rakha, usi dauran ek billi aayi aur usi bartan mein se pani peene lagi. Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne us ke liye bartan terha kar diya, yahan tak ke billi serab ho gayi. Unhon ne dekha ke main tajjub se un ki taraf dekh rahi hun to farmaya, "Bhitiji! Kya tumhen is se tajjub ho raha hai?" Maine kaha, "Ji haan!" Unhon ne farmaya ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya hai, "Yeh napaak nahin hoti kyunki yeh tumhare gharon mein baar baar aane wala janwar hai."

Narrated Abu Qatadah (RA): I heard the Prophet (PBUH), saying on this pulpit: "Do not narrate from me too many Hadiths (Prophet's narrations), and whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, then he will find his place in Hell-fire."

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو اس منبر پر یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے اے لوگو! میرے حوالے سے کثرت کے ساتھ حدیث بیان کرنے سے بچو اور جو میری طرف نسبت کر کے کوئی بات کہے تو وہ صرف صحیح بات کہے اس لئے کہ جو شخص میری طرف کسی جھوٹی بات کی نسبت کرے، اسے اپنا ٹھکانہ جہنم میں بنا لینا چاہئے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko is mimbar par ye farmate huye suna hai aye logo! mere hawale se kasrat ke sath hadees bayan karne se bacho aur jo meri taraf nisbat kar ke koi baat kahe to wo sirf sahi baat kahe is liye ki jo shakhs meri taraf kisi jhooti baat ki nisbat kare, use apna thikana jahannam mein bana lena chahiye.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When the Iqamah (call to start prayer) is pronounced, do not stand up until you see me.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب نماز کے لئے اقامت کہی جائے تو اس وقت تک کھڑے نہ ہوا کرو جب تک مجھے دیکھ نہ لو۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab namaz ke liye iqamat kahi jaye to us waqt tak khare na hua karo jab tak mujhe dekh na lo.
Narrated by Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The worst thief among people is the one who steals from his prayer." People asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How can a person steal from his prayer?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "By not completing his bowing and prostrations properly."

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا لوگوں میں سب سے بدترین چور وہ ہے جو نماز میں چوری کرتا ہے لوگوں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! انسان نماز میں کس طرح چوری کرسکتا ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس طرح کہ رکوع و سجود اچھی طرح مکمل نہ کرے۔

It is narrated by Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Good dreams are from Allah and bad dreams are from Satan. So whoever sees a disliked dream, he should not narrate it to anyone but upon seeing the dream he should spit three times to his left side and seek refuge in Allah from its evil. In this way, that dream will not be able to harm him."

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offering prayer in such a manner that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was holding Umamah, daughter of Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) or the daughter of Imam Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would lift her when he stood up and put her down when he went into bowing (ruku). He continued to pray in this manner until he finished the prayer.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو اس طرح نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ نے حضرت زینب رضی اللہ عنہ کی صاحبزادی امامہ یا امیمہ بنت ابی العاص کو اٹھا رکھا تھا نبی کریم ﷺ جب کھڑے ہوتے تو انہیں اٹھا لیتے اور جب رکوع میں جاتے تو انہیں نیچے اتار دیتے یہاں تک کہ اسی طرح نماز سے فارغ ہوگئے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko is tarah namaz parhte hue dekha ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hazrat Zainab ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ki sahibzadi Imama ya Umaima bint Abu Al As ko utha rakha tha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab khade hote to unhen utha lete aur jab ruku mein jate to unhen niche utar dete yahan tak ki isi tarah namaz se farig hogaye.
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Prophet forbade making wine by mixing different types of dates. He said that it is permissible to make wine from each type separately.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے (کھجور کی مختلف اقسام کو) ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ ملا کر نبیذ بنانے سے منع کرتے ہوئے فرمایا ہے کہ علیحدہ علیحدہ ان کی نبیذ بنائی جاسکتی ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khajoor ki mukhtalif aqsam ko ek doosre ke sath mila kar nabidh banane se mana karte hue farmaya hai ki alag alag in ki nabidh banai ja sakti hai.
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “When any of you drinks, let him not breathe into the vessel, and when he enters the toilet, let him not clean himself with his right hand, and when he urinates, let him not touch his private parts with his right hand.”

Narrated Abu Qatada (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) used to lead us in prayer and recite (the Quran) in the first two rak'ahs of the Zuhr prayer and we could hear some of its Verses if he sometimes recited them loudly. The first rak'ah used to be longer than the second. He used to do the same in the Fajr prayer, i.e., the first rak'ah was longer than the second. He also used to recite (the Quran) in the first two rak'ahs of the 'Asr prayer.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ ہماری امامت فرماتے تھے تو ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں قرأت فرماتے تھے جس کی کوئی آیت کبھی کبھار ہمیں سنا دیتے تھے اس میں بھی پہلی رکعت نسبتہ لمبی اور دوسری مختصر فرماتے تھے فجر کی نماز میں بھی اسی طرح کرتے تھے کہ پہلی رکعت لمبی اور دوسری اس کی نسبت مختصر پڑھاتے تھے اور عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں بھی قرأت فرماتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hamari imamat farmate thay to Zuhar ki pehli do rakaaton mein qirat farmate thay jis ki koi ayat kabhi kabhar humein suna dete thay us mein bhi pehli rakat nisbatan lambi aur dusri mukhtasar farmate thay Fajr ki namaz mein bhi isi tarah karte thay ki pehli rakat lambi aur dusri us ki nisbat mukhtasar parhate thay aur Asr ki pehli do rakaaton mein bhi qirat farmate thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Do not stand up for prayer when the Adhan is being called until you see me, and observe calmness and tranquility."

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب نماز کے لئے اذان دی جائے تو اس وقت تک کھڑے نہ ہوا کرو جب تک مجھے دیکھ نہ لو اور اپنے اوپر سکون و اطمینان کو لازم کرلو۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab namaz ke liye azan di jaye to us waqt tak kharay na hua karo jab tak mujhe dekh na lo aur apne upar sukoon o itminan ko lazim karlo.
It is narrated by Abu Qatada Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “O Messenger of Allah! What is the ruling if a person fasts continuously?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "There is no virtue in fasting continuously." The man asked, “What about fasting two days and breaking the fast on one day?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Does he have the strength for that?” The man asked, “What about fasting one day and breaking the fast for two days?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Perhaps this is praiseworthy in the sight of Allah.” The man asked, “What about fasting every other day?” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “That was the way of my brother, David (peace be upon him).” The man asked about fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “That is the day on which I was born and on which revelation was sent down to me.” Fasting three days every month and fasting the entire month of Ramadan is equal to fasting continuously. The man asked about the ruling on fasting on the Day of Arafah. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “It atones for the sins of the past and coming year.” The man asked about the ruling on fasting on the Day of Ashura, so he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “It atones for the sins of the past year.”

حضرت ابو قتادہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ! اگر کوئی آدمی ہمیشہ روزے رکھے تو کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس کا روزہ رکھنا اور نہ رکھنا دونوں برابر ہیں سائل نے پوچھا دو دن روزہ رکھنا اور ایک دن ناغہ کرنا کیسا ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس کی طاقت کس میں ہے سائل نے پوچھا کہ دو دن ناغہ کرنا اور ایک دن روزہ رکھنا کیسا ہے، نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ہوسکتا ہے کہ اللہ کی نظروں میں یہ قابل تعریف ہو، سائل نے پوچھا کہ ایک دن روزہ رکھنا اور ایک دن ناغہ کرنا کیسا ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ تو میرے بھائی حضرت داؤد علیہ السلام کا طریقہ ہے سائل نے پیر اور جمعرات کے روزے کے حوالے سے پوچھا؟ تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس دن میری پیدائش ہوئی اور اسی دن مجھ پر وحی نازل ہوئی، ہر مہینے میں تین روزے رکھ لینا اور پورے ماہ رمضان کے روزے رکھنا ہمیشہ روزہ رکھنے کے برابر ہے سائل نے پوچھا یوم عرفہ کے روزے کا کیا حکم ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اس سے گزشتہ اور آئندہ سال کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہوجاتا ہے سائل نے یوم عاشورہ کے روزے کا حکم پوچھا تو فرمایا اس سے گزشتہ سال کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہوجاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Ansari razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek aadmi ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se pucha Ya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) agar koi aadmi hamesha rozy rakhe to kya hukum hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya iska roza rakhna aur na rakhna donon barabar hain sail ne pucha do din roza rakhna aur ek din nagha karna kaisa hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya iski taqat kis mein hai sail ne pucha ki do din nagha karna aur ek din roza rakhna kaisa hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ho sakta hai ki Allah ki nazron mein ye qabil e tareef ho sail ne pucha ki ek din roza rakhna aur ek din nagha karna kaisa hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya wo to mere bhai Hazrat Daud alaihissalam ka tariqa hai sail ne peer aur jummeraat ke rozy ke hawale se pucha to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya us din meri paidaish hui aur usi din mujh par wahi nazil hui har mahine mein teen rozy rakh lena aur pure mah Ramadan ke rozy rakhna hamesha rozy rakhne ke barabar hai sail ne pucha Yom Arafa ke rozy ka kya hukum hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya is se guzishta aur aane wala saal ke gunahon ka kaffara hojata hai sail ne Yom Aashura ke rozy ka hukum pucha to farmaya is se guzishta saal ke gunahon ka kaffara hojata hai
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offering prayer in such a way that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had lifted Umamah, the granddaughter of Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), daughter of Abu al-Aas. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would lift her when he stood up and would put her down when he bowed down, and thus he finished the prayer in the same manner.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو اس طرح نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا کہ آپ ﷺ نے حضرت زینب رضی اللہ عنہ کی صاحبزادی امامہ یا امیمہ بنت ابی العاص کو اٹھا رکھا تھا نبی کریم ﷺ جب کھڑے ہوتے تو انہیں اٹھا لیتے اور جب رکوع میں جاتے تو انہیں نیچے اتار دیتے یہاں تک کہ اسی طرح نماز سے فارغ ہوگئے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai keh maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko is tarah namaz parhte huye dekha keh aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hazrat Zainab Raziallahu Anha ki sahibzadi Imama ya Umaima bint Abu al As ko utha rakha tha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab khare hote to unhen utha lete aur jab ruku mein jate to unhen neeche utar dete yahan tak ke isi tarah namaz se farigh hogaye.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “When any one of you enters the mosque, he should offer two rak'ahs (as Tahiyyat-ul-Masjid) before sitting.”

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص مسجد میں داخل ہو تو اسے بیٹھنے سے پہلے دو رکعتیں (بطور تحیۃ المسجد) پڑھ لینی چاہئیں۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab tum mein se koi shakhs masjid mein dakhil ho to use bethne se pehle do rakaten (ba tor tahiyatul masjid) parh leni chahiyen.
It is narrated by Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not curse time, because Allah is the Creator of time.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا زمانے کو برا بھلا مت کہا کرو، کیونکہ اللہ ہی زمانے کا خالق ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatadah Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya zamane ko bura bhala mat kaha karo, kyunki Allah hi zamane ka khalik hai.
Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to lead us in prayer, and he would recite (from the Quran) in the first two rak'ahs of the Zuhr prayer. He would sometimes let us hear a verse, and he would make the first rak'ah longer than the second. And he would do the same in the Fajr prayer, making the first rak'ah longer than the second. And he would recite in the first two rak'ahs of the Asr prayer.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ ہماری امامت فرماتے تھے تو ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں قرأت فرماتے تھے جس کی کوئی آیت کبھی کبھار ہمیں سنا دیتے تھے اس میں بھی پہلی رکعت نسبتہ لمبی اور دوسری مختصر فرماتے تھے فجر کی نماز میں بھی اسی طرح کرتے تھے کہ پہلی رکعت لمبی اور دوسری اس کی نسبت مختصر پڑھاتے تھے اور عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں بھی قرأت فرماتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hamari imamat farmate thay to Zuhar ki pehli do rakaton mein qirat farmate thay jis ki koi ayat kabhi kabhar humein suna dete thay us mein bhi pehli rakat nisbatan lambi aur dusri mukhtasir farmate thay Fajr ki namaz mein bhi isi tarah karte thay ke pehli rakat lambi aur dusri us ki nisbat mukhtasir parhaate thay aur Asar ki pehli do rakaton mein bhi qirat farmate thay.
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When any one of you drinks, let him not breathe in the vessel; and when he enters the toilet, let him not clean himself with his right hand; and when he urinates, let him not touch his private parts with his right hand.”

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص کچھ پیئے تو برتن میں سانس نہ لے جب بیت الخلاء میں داخل ہو تو دائیں ہاتھ سے استنجاء نہ کرے اور جب پیشاب کرے تو دائیں ہاتھ سے شرمگاہ کو نہ چھوئے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya jab tum mein se koi shakhs kuch piye to bartan mein saans na le jab baitul khala mein dakhil ho to daayen hath se istinja na kare aur jab peshab kare to daayen hath se sharamgah ko na chhuye.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "None of you should eat with his left hand, or drink with his left hand, or take anything with his left hand, or give anything with his left hand."

عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ رحمہ اللہ سے مرسلاً مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میں سے کوئی شخص کھانا کھائے تو وہ بائیں ہاتھ سے نہ کھائے جب پیئے تو بائیں ہاتھ سے نہ پیئے جب کوئی چیز پکڑے تو بائیں ہاتھ سے نہ پکڑے اور جب کوئی چیز دے تو بائیں ہاتھ سے نہ دے۔
Abdullah bin Abi Talha rehmatullah alaih se mursalan marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum mein se koi shaks khana khaye to wo bayen hath se na khaye jab piye to bayen hath se na piye jab koi cheez pakre to bayen hath se na pakre aur jab koi cheez de to bayen hath se na de.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from amongst us passed away. We went to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to request him to lead his funeral prayer. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Did he leave anything behind?" The people said, "By Allah, he did not leave anything." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Did he leave any debt behind?" The people replied, "Yes, eighteen dirhams." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Did he leave anything for its repayment?" The people replied, "By Allah, he did not leave anything." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Then you yourselves offer his funeral prayer." Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! If I pay off his debt, will you lead his funeral prayer?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If you pay off all his debt, then I will lead his funeral prayer." So Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) went and paid off his debt. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Has all the debt been paid off?" They replied, "Yes!" So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led his funeral prayer.

حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ہم میں سے ایک آدمی فوت ہوگیا ہم نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے کہ وہ اس کا جنازہ پڑھا دیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا کیا اس نے کچھ چھوڑا ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا واللہ اس نے کچھ نہیں چھوڑا نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا کیا اس نے اپنے اوپر کوئی قرض چھوڑا ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا جی ہاں اٹھارہ درہم نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا کیا اس نے اس کی ادائیگی کے لئے بھی کچھ چھوڑا ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا واللہ اس نے کچھ نہیں چھوڑا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا پھر تم خود ہی اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھ لو، حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! اگر میں اس کا قرض ادا کر دوں تو کیا آپ اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھا دیں گے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تم اس کا پورا قرض ادا کردو تو میں اس کا جنازہ پڑھا دوں گا چنانچہ حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے جا کر اس کا قرض ادا کردیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے پوچھا کیا سارا قرض ادا کردیا؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا جی ہاں! تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھا دی۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki hum mein se ek aadmi foot hogaya hum Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir huye ki woh iska janaza parha dein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha kya isne kuch chora hai? Logon ne kaha wallah isne kuch nahi chora Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha kya isne apne upar koi qarz chora hai? Logon ne kaha ji haan atharah dirham Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha kya isne iski adayegi ke liye bhi kuch chora hai? Logon ne kaha wallah isne kuch nahi chora Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya phir tum khud hi iski namaz janaza parh lo, Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz kiya ya Rasulullah! Agar main iska qarz ada kar dun to kya aap iski namaz janaza parha denge? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya agar tum iska pura qarz ada kardo to main iska janaza parha dunga chunancha Hazrat Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne ja kar iska qarz ada kardiya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pucha kya sara qarz ada kardiya? Unhon ne arz kiya ji haan! To Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne iski namaz janaza parha di.
Abu Qatada (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to lead us in prayer. He would do the same in Fajr prayer, making the first rak'ah longer and the second one shorter in comparison. And he would recite in the first two rak'ahs of Asr prayer.
