Ata' ibn Yazid narrated to us from Humran, the freed slave of Uthman, that he saw Uthman call for water for ablution. He poured water over his hands from his water container and washed them three times. Then he dipped his right hand into the water container and rinsed his mouth, inhaled water into his nose, and exhaled it, and washed his face three times. He washed his hands up to the elbows three times, then wiped his head, and washed each foot three times. Then he said, “I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution, the same way I performed this ablution.” Then he said, “Whoever performs ablution, the same way I performed this ablution, and then stands up and prays two rak'ahs without speaking to himself during them, then his past sins will be forgiven for him.”
ہم سے عطاء بن یزید نے بیان کیا، ان سے حضرت عثمان کے آزاد کردہ غلام حمران نے کہ میں نے حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ آپ نے وضو کے لیے پانی منگوایا، پھر آپ نے اپنے ہاتھوں پر اپنے مشکیزے سے تین بار پانی ڈالا، پھر دہنے ہاتھ کو مشکیزے میں ڈالا، پھر کلی کی اور ناک میں پانی چڑھایا اور ناک صاف کی، پھر تین بار اپنا چہرہ مبارک دھویا، پھر کہنیوں سمیت تین بار اپنے ہاتھ دھوئے، پھر اپنے سر کا مسح کیا، پھر تین بار اپنے دونوں پاؤں دھوئے، پھر فرمایا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایسے ہی وضو کرتے دیکھا ہے جیسے میں نے یہ وضو کیا ہے، پھر آپ نے فرمایا کہ جس نے ایسا وضو کیا جیسے میں نے یہ وضو کیا ہے، پھر کھڑے ہو کر دو رکعت نماز پڑھی اور ان میں اپنے نفس سے باتیں نہ کیں تو اس کے پچھلے گناہ معاف کر دیے جاتے ہیں۔
Hum se Ata bin Yazid ne bayan kiya, un se Hazrat Usman ke azad kardah ghulam Hamran ne kaha ke main ne Hazrat Usman Radi Allahu Anhu ko dekha ke aap ne wuzu ke liye pani mangwaya, phir aap ne apne hathon par apne mashkize se teen baar pani dala, phir dahine hath ko mashkize mein dala, phir kulli ki aur naak mein pani charhaya aur naak saaf ki, phir teen baar apna chehra mubarak dhoya, phir kahniyon samet teen baar apne hath dhoye, phir apne sar ka masah kiya, phir teen baar apne donon paon dhoye, phir farmaya ke main ne Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko aise hi wuzu karte dekha hai jaise main ne ye wuzu kiya hai, phir aap ne farmaya ke jis ne aisa wuzu kiya jaise main ne ye wuzu kiya hai, phir kharay ho kar do rakat namaz parhi aur in mein apne nafs se baaten na kin to uske pichhle gunah maaf kar diye jate hain.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him not put his hand into his water vessel until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand was roaming."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی اپنی نیند سے جاگے تو اپنے ہاتھ کو اپنے برتن میں نہ ڈالے یہاں تک کہ وہ اسے تین بار دھو لے، کیونکہ وہ نہیں جانتا کہ اس کا ہاتھ کہاں گھوم رہا تھا۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi apni neend se jage to apne hath ko apne bartan mein na dale yahan tak ki woh usay teen baar dho le, kyunki woh nahin janta ki uska hath kahan ghoom raha tha."
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hand into his vessel until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی اپنی نیند سے بیدار ہو تو اسے چاہیے کہ اپنے برتن میں ہاتھ نہ ڈالے یہاں تک کہ اسے تین بار دھو لے کیونکہ اسے معلوم نہیں کہ اس کا ہاتھ رات کہاں گزار کر آیا ہے"۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi SAW ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi apni neend se bedaar ho to usay chahiye keh apne bartan mein hath na daale yahan tak keh usay teen baar dho le kyunki usay maloom nahi keh uska hath raat kahan guzaar kar aaya hai".
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When one of you wakes from sleep, let him wash his hands before putting them in his ablution water, for one of you does not know where his hand was during the night."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی نیند سے جاگے تو اپنا ہاتھ وضو کے پانی میں ڈالنے سے پہلے تین بار دھو لے، کیونکہ تم میں سے کوئی نہیں جانتا کہ رات کو اس کا ہاتھ کہاں تھا۔"
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi neend se jage to apna hath wuzu ke pani mein dalne se pehle teen baar dho le, kyunki tum mein se koi nahin janta keh raat ko uska hath kahan tha."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کوئی نیند سے بیدار ہو تو اپنے ہاتھ کو اپنے برتن میں نہ ڈالے یہاں تک کہ اسے تین بار دھو لے“۔

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him not dip his hand into the vessel until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand rested during the night.”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی اپنی نیند سے بیدار ہو تو اسے چاہیے کہ اپنے ہاتھ کو تین بار دھونے سے پہلے برتن میں نہ ڈوبائے، کیونکہ وہ نہیں جانتا کہ رات کے وقت اس کا ہاتھ کہاں تھا۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi apni neend se bedar ho to use chahiye ki apne hath ko teen baar dhoone se pehle bartan mein na doobaye, kyunki woh nahin janta ki raat ke waqt uska hath kahan tha."
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "I have urged you to use the siwak (tooth-stick)."
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں تمہیں مسواک کرنے کی تاکید کرتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Anas bin Malik Radi Allaho Anho se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: mein tumhen miswak karne ki takid karta hoon.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If it were not that I would burden my Ummah, I would have ordered them to use siwak (tooth-stick) for every prayer."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر میں اپنی امت پر زیادتی نہ کرتا تو میں انہیں ہر نماز کے لیے مسواک کرنے کا حکم دیتا۔

Aisha reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "If it were not that I would burden my nation, I would have ordered them to use the siwak (tooth stick) at every prayer along with ablution."
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "اگر میں اپنی امت پر بوجھ ڈالنا گوارا کرتا تو انہیں ہر نماز کے وضو کے ساتھ مسواک کرنے کا حکم دیتا"۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, "Agar mein apni ummat par bojh dalna gawara karta tou unhen har namaz ke wuzu ke sath miswak karne ka hukum deta".
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Upon you is the siwak, for it is a purification for the mouth and a pleasure for the Lord."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "تم پر مسواک کرنا ہے، کیونکہ وہ منہ کی پاکیزگی اور رب کی رضا ہے"۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Tum par miswak karna hai, kyunki woh munh ki paakizgi aur Rab ki raza hai".
Abu Burda narrated to me from his father, from Abu Musa:
I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) with two men from Ash'ariyin, one of them was on my right and the other on my left, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was using Miswak. Then, both of them asked for work (i.e., leadership). I said, “By the One who sent you with the truth, he does not know what is in their hearts, and I did not feel that they were seeking leadership.” It was as if I was looking at his Siwak under his lips moving. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Verily, we do not, or will not, seek the help of anyone who wants it for our work, but you go.” So, he sent him to Yemen. Then he sent Muadh bin Jabal after him.
ابو بردہ نے مجھ سے اپنے والد سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے ابو موسیٰ سے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں دو اشعری آدمیوں کے ساتھ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، ان میں سے ایک میری دائیں جانب تھا اور دوسرا میری بائیں جانب اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسواک فرما رہے تھے، پھر ان دونوں نے کام (یعنی قیادت) کا سوال کیا۔ میں نے کہا، "اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے، آپ نہیں جانتے کہ ان کے دلوں میں کیا ہے، اور مجھے یہ محسوس نہیں ہوا کہ وہ قیادت کے خواہاں ہیں۔" جیسے میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہونٹوں کے نیچے حرکت کرتے ہوئے مسواک کو دیکھ رہا ہوں۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "بے شک ہم اس کی مدد نہیں مانگتے اور نہ ہی مانگیں گے جو ہمارے کام کے لیے چاہتا ہو، لیکن تم جاؤ۔" چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے یمن بھیج دیا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کے پیچھے معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ کو بھیجا۔
Abu Burdah ne mujh se apne wald se riwayat ki, unhon ne Abu Musa se keh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: mein do Ashari aadmiyon ke sath Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua, un mein se ek meri dayen janib tha aur dusra meri baen janib aur Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam miswak farma rahe the, phir un donon ne kaam (yani qayadat) ka sawal kiya. Mein ne kaha, "Iss Zaat ki qasam jis ne aap ko haq ke sath bheja hai, aap nahin jante keh un ke dilon mein kya hai, aur mujhe yeh mehsoos nahin hua keh woh qayadat ke khwah hain." Jaise mein aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke honton ke neeche harkat karte huye miswak ko dekh raha hun. Phir Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Beshak hum uss ki madad nahin mangte aur na hi mangen ge jo humare kaam ke liye chahta ho, lekin tum jao." Chunache aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne usse Yemen bhej diya. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne uss ke peeche Muaz bin Jabal radi Allahu anhu ko bhi bheja.
Abu Musa narrated that: I entered upon Allah's Messenger while he was using a toothpick and the tip of his tongue was moving (with difficulty) in his mouth and he was saying: "A'a'a'"
حضرت ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، آپ خلال کر رہے تھے اور آپ کی زبان مبارک اس قدر اندر کو تھی کہ بمشکل حرکت کر رہی تھی اور آپ یہ کلمات فرما رہے تھے: ”أَعَ، أَعَ“
Hazrat Abu Musa Radi Allahu Anhu kehte hain ki main Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua, aap khilal kar rahe the aur aap ki zaban mubarak is qadar andar ko thi ki ba mushkil harkat kar rahi thi aur aap ye kalmaat farma rahe the: "Aa'a, Aa'a"
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) performed ablution, washing each part once only, and he combined the rinsing of the mouth and nose.
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے وضو کیا، ہر عضو کو ایک بار دھویا اور کلی اور ناک میں پانی ڈالا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne wuzu kiya, har uzv ko ek baar dhoya aur kuli aur nak mein pani dala.
Amr ibn Yahya reported from his father: I witnessed Amr ibn Abi Hasan asking Abdullah bin Zaid about the ablution of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). So [Abdullah] called for a vessel of water. He (the Prophet) poured water over his hands and washed them thrice, then he put his hand in the vessel, rinsed his mouth and washed his nose thrice with three handfuls (of water), then put his hand in the vessel and washed his face thrice, then put his hand in the vessel and washed his forearms up to the elbows twice, then he put his hand in the vessel and wiped his head, passing his hands over the front and the back of it, then he put his hand in the vessel and washed his feet up to the ankles.
عمرو بن یحییٰ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے عمرو بن ابی حسن کو عبداللہ بن زید سے اللہ کے رسول (ﷺ) کے وضو کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہوئے دیکھا۔ تو [عبداللہ] نے پانی کا برتن منگوایا۔ آپ (ﷺ) نے اپنے ہاتھوں پر پانی ڈالا اور تین بار دھوئے، پھر آپ (ﷺ) نے اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں ڈالا، کلی کی اور تین چلو سے اپنا ناک تین بار دھویا، پھر اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں ڈالا اور اپنا چہرہ تین بار دھویا، پھر اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں ڈالا اور اپنی کہنیوں تک اپنے بازو دو بار دھوئے، پھر آپ (ﷺ) نے اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں ڈالا اور اپنے سر کا مسح کیا، اپنے ہاتھوں کو اس کے اگلے اور پچھلے حصے پر پھیرا، پھر آپ (ﷺ) نے اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں ڈالا اور اپنے پاؤں ٹخنوں تک دھوئے۔
Amr bin Yahya apne wald se riwayat karte hain keh maine Amr bin Abi Hasan ko Abdullah bin Zaid se Allah ke Rasool (ﷺ) ke wuzu ke bare mein puchte hue dekha. To [Abdullah] ne pani ka bartan mangwaya. Aap (ﷺ) ne apne hathon par pani dala aur teen bar dhoye, phir Aap (ﷺ) ne apna hath bartan mein dala, kuli ki aur teen chullu se apna nak teen bar dhoya, phir apna hath bartan mein dala aur apna chehra teen bar dhoya, phir apna hath bartan mein dala aur apni kahniyon tak apne baazu do bar dhoye, phir Aap (ﷺ) ne apna hath bartan mein dala aur apne sar ka masah kiya, apne hathon ko uske agle aur pichle hisse par phairaya, phir Aap (ﷺ) ne apna hath bartan mein dala aur apne paon takhnon tak dhoye.
Ibn Abbas narrated: "I saw the Prophet ﷺ performing ablution. He scooped up a handful of water and washed his right hand. Then, he scooped up another handful of water and washed his left hand. Then, he scooped up another handful of water and wiped his head, the inside of his ears, and the outside of his ears, and he inserted his index fingers into his ears. Then he scooped up another handful of water and washed his right foot. Then, he scooped up another handful of water and washed his left foot."
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو وضو کرتے ہوئے دیکھا، آپ ﷺ نے ایک چلو پانی لے کر اپنا دایاں ہاتھ دھویا، پھر ایک چلو پانی لے کر اپنا بایاں ہاتھ دھویا، پھر ایک چلو پانی لے کر اپنا سر، کانوں کے اندر اور کانوں کے باہر مسح کیا اور اپنی شہادت کی انگلیاں کانوں میں ڈالیں، پھر ایک چلو پانی لے کر اپنا دایاں پاؤں دھویا، پھر ایک چلو پانی لے کر اپنا بایاں پاؤں دھویا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma bayan karte hain keh maine Nabi Kareem SAW ko wazu karte huye dekha, Aap SAW ne aik chulu pani lekar apna dayan hath dhoya, phir aik chulu pani lekar apna bayan hath dhoya, phir aik chulu pani lekar apna sar, kaano ke andar aur kaano ke bahar masah kya aur apni shahadat ki ungliyan kaano mein dali, phir aik chulu pani lekar apna dayan paon dhoya, phir aik chulu pani lekar apna bayan paon dhoya.
'Abd Khayr said:
'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the courtyard after praying Fajr and sat down. He then said to a young boy, "Bring me water for ablution." The boy brought him a basin with water and a small bucket. 'Abd Khayr said, "We were sitting there, looking at him." He continued, "'Ali took the basin with his right hand and poured water onto his left hand, without dipping his hand into the basin, until he had washed them both three times. Then, he dipped his right hand into the basin, rinsed his mouth, inhaled water into his nose and blew it out with the help of his left hand. He did this three times. Then, he washed his face three times. Then, he washed his right hand up to the elbow three times and then his left hand up to the elbow three times. Then, he dipped his right hand into the basin until it was full of water. Then, he lifted it and poured the water over his left hand and wiped it. Then, he wiped his head with both hands once. Then, he poured water over his right foot three times with his right hand and then washed it with his left hand. Then, he poured water over his left foot three times with his right hand and then washed it with his left hand. Then, he dipped his hand in the basin, scooped up water with both hands, and drank from it. He then said, "This is the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So whoever loves to look at the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), this is his ablution.'"
عبد خیر نے کہا:
علی (رضی اللہ عنہ) نماز فجر کے بعد صحن میں داخل ہوئے اور بیٹھ گئے۔ پھر انہوں نے ایک نوجوان لڑکے سے کہا، "میرے لیے وضو کا پانی لے آؤ۔" لڑکا ان کے لیے پانی کا ایک بیسن اور ایک چھوٹی بالٹی لے آیا۔ عبد خیر نے کہا، "ہم وہیں بیٹھے انہیں دیکھ رہے تھے۔" انہوں نے کہا، "علی (رضی اللہ عنہ) نے اپنے دائیں ہاتھ سے بیسن پکڑا اور اپنے بائیں ہاتھ پر پانی ڈالا، اپنے ہاتھ کو بیسن میں ڈبوئے بغیر، یہاں تک کہ انہوں نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ تین بار دھو لیے۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنا دایاں ہاتھ بیسن میں ڈبویا، اپنا منہ صاف کیا، اپنی ناک میں پانی کھینچا اور اسے اپنے بائیں ہاتھ کی مدد سے باہر نکال دیا۔ انہوں نے ایسا تین بار کیا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنا چہرہ تین بار دھویا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنے دائیں ہاتھ کو کہنی تک تین بار دھویا اور پھر اپنے بائیں ہاتھ کو کہنی تک تین بار دھویا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنے دائیں ہاتھ کو بیسن میں اس وقت تک ڈبوئے رکھا جب تک کہ وہ پانی سے بھر نہ گیا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اسے اٹھایا اور اپنے بائیں ہاتھ پر پانی ڈالا اور اسے صاف کیا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنے سر کو دونوں ہاتھوں سے ایک بار صاف کیا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنے دائیں پاؤں پر اپنے دائیں ہاتھ سے تین بار پانی ڈالا اور پھر اسے اپنے بائیں ہاتھ سے دھویا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنے بائیں پاؤں پر اپنے دائیں ہاتھ سے تین بار پانی ڈالا اور پھر اسے اپنے بائیں ہاتھ سے دھویا۔ پھر، انہوں نے اپنا ہاتھ بیسن میں ڈبویا، دونوں ہاتھوں سے پانی نکالا، اور اس میں سے پیا۔ پھر انہوں نے کہا، "یہ نبی کریم ﷺ کا وضو ہے۔ تو جو کوئی نبی کریم ﷺ کے وضو کو دیکھنا پسند کرتا ہے، یہ ان کا وضو ہے۔"
Abdul Khair ne kaha:
Ali (Razi Allah Anhu) namaz fajr ke baad sahan mein dakhil hue aur baith gaye. Phir unhone ek naujawan ladke se kaha, "Mere liye wuzu ka pani le aao." Ladka unke liye pani ka ek basin aur ek chhoti balti le aaya. Abdul Khair ne kaha, "Hum wahin baithe unhein dekh rahe the." Unhone kaha, "Ali (Razi Allah Anhu) ne apne daayen hath se basin pakda aur apne baayen hath par pani dala, apne hath ko basin mein duboey baghair, yahan tak ke unhone apne donon hath teen baar dho liye. Phir, unhone apna daayan hath basin mein duboya, apna munh saaf kiya, apni nak mein pani khencha aur use apne baayen hath ki madad se bahar nikal diya. Unhone aisa teen baar kiya. Phir, unhone apne daayen hath ko basin mein us waqt tak duboey rakha jab tak ke woh pani se bhar na gaya. Phir, unhone use uthaya aur apne baayen hath par pani dala aur use saaf kiya. Phir, unhone apne sar ko donon hathon se ek baar saaf kiya. Phir, unhone apne daayen paaon par apne daayen hath se teen baar pani dala aur phir use apne baayen hath se dhoya. Phir, unhone apne baayen paaon par apne daayen hath se teen baar pani dala aur phir use apne baayen hath se dhoya. Phir, unhone apna hath basin mein duboya, donon hathon se pani nikala, aur us mein se piya. Phir unhone kaha, "Yeh Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka wuzu hai. To jo koi Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke wuzu ko dekhna pasand karta hai, yeh unka wuzu hai."
Ibn Abbas narrated: Ali entered my house and had just urinated, so he called for water for ablution. We brought him a small bucket which could hold a Mudd (unit of measurement) until it was placed in his hands. He said, "Shall I not perform ablution for you as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform it?" I said, "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!" He said, “Then he washed his hands, then rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose and blew it out, then he took water with his right hand and wiped his face with it until he finished his ablution.”
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ میرے گھر داخل ہوئے اور پیشاب کر کے فارغ ہوئے تھے تو انہوں نے وضو کے لیے پانی مانگا۔ ہم ایک چھوٹا سا ڈول لائے جس میں ایک مد پانی سما سکتا تھا یہاں تک کہ وہ ان کے ہاتھ میں آگیا۔ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: "کیا میں تمہیں وضو نہ کرواؤں جیسے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وضو کیا کرتے تھے؟" میں نے کہا "میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں!" علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے ہاتھ دھوتے، پھر کلی کرتے اور ناک میں پانی چڑھاتے اور صاف کرتے، پھر اپنے داہنے ہاتھ سے پانی لیتے اور اس سے اپنا چہرہ دھوتے یہاں تک کہ اپنا وضو پورا کر لیتے۔"

Ali radhiAllahu anhu ne farmaya: "Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam apne hath dhote, phir kuli karte aur nak mein pani charhate aur saaf karte, phir apne dahine hath se pani lete aur us se apna chehra dhote yahan tak ke apna wuzu poora kar lete."
Narrated 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather: I saw 'Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, perform ablution and he passed his wet hand through his beard three times, and he said, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do it."

حبيب بن زید اپنے چچا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو وضو کرتے ہوئے دیکھا اور آپ ﷺ نے وضو میں اپنے پاؤں کے انگلیوں کے درمیان مسح فرمایا

'Abdullah bin Zaid narrated that the Prophet ﷺ was brought a third of a Mudd of water, and he performed ablution and rubbed his arms.
عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے لیے ایک مُد پانی کا تہائی حصہ لایا گیا، آپ ﷺ نے وضو فرمایا اور اپنی دونوں بازوئیں مسح فرمائیں۔
Abdullah bin Zaid Radi Allahu Anhu bayan karte hain ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke liye ek mud paani ka tehai hissa laya gaya, Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne wuzu farmaya aur apni donon bazuen masah farmayen.
Amr ibn Yahya narrated from his father that he said to Abdullah ibn Zayd, and he was the grandfather of Amr ibn Yahya, "Can you show me how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution?" Abdullah ibn Zayd said, "Yes." So, he called for water and poured it over his right hand three times. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his hands twice, twice up to the elbows. Then he wiped his head with his hands. He started from the front of his head and went back to the nape of his neck, then brought them back to the place where he had started. Then he washed his feet and said, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution."
عمرو بن یحییٰ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے عبداللہ بن زید سے کہا، اور وہ عمرو بن یحییٰ کے دادا تھے، "کیا آپ مجھے دکھا سکتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کیسے وضو کرتے تھے؟" عبداللہ بن زید نے کہا، "ہاں۔" تو انہوں نے پانی منگوایا اور اپنے سیدھے ہاتھ پر تین بار ڈالا۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنا چہرہ تین بار دھویا۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ کہنیوں تک دو بار، دو بار دھوئے۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنے سر کو اپنے ہاتھوں سے مسح کیا۔ انہوں نے اپنے سر کے اگلے حصے سے شروع کیا اور اپنے سر کے پچھلے حصے تک گئے، پھر انہیں واپس اسی جگہ لے آئے جہاں سے انہوں نے شروع کیا تھا۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنے پاؤں دھوئے اور کہا، "میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو اس طرح وضو کرتے دیکھا ہے۔"
Amr bin Yahya apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki unhon ne Abdullah bin Zaid se kaha, aur wo Amr bin Yahya ke dada the, "kia aap mujhe dikha sakte hain ki Rasul Allah ﷺ kaise wuzu karte the?" Phir unhon ne apne hath kohniyon tak do baar, do baar dhoye. Phir unhon ne apne sar ko apne hathon se masah kiya. Unhon ne apne sar ke agle hisse se shuru kiya aur apne sar ke pichle hisse tak gaye, phir unhen wapas usi jagah le aaye jahan se unhon ne shuru kiya tha. Phir unhon ne apne paon dhoye aur kaha, "main ne Rasul Allah ﷺ ko is tarah wuzu karte dekha hai."
Habban's father told him that he heard Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim Al-Mazini mentioning: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution. He rinsed his mouth and nose, then washed his face three times, then his right hand three times, then his left hand likewise. He wiped his head with water without letting the water of his hands drip, and washed his feet until he cleaned them.
حضرت حبان کے والد نے انہیں بتایا کہ انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن زید بن عاصم المازنی سے سنا، وہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے وضو کیا، آپ ﷺ نے کلی کی اور ناک میں پانی ڈالا، پھر اپنا چہرہ مبارک تین بار دھویا، پھر اپنا دایاں ہاتھ تین بار دھویا، پھر اسی طرح بایاں ہاتھ دھویا، آپ ﷺ نے اپنے سر کا مسح کیا اور ہاتھوں کے پانی کو سر پر ٹپکنے نہیں دیا اور اپنے پاؤں دھوئے یہاں تک کہ انہیں اچھی طرح صاف کرلیا۔

Ibn 'Abbas narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed ablution. He took a handful of water and washed his face. Then he took another handful and washed his right hand. Then he took another handful and washed his left hand. Then he took another handful and wiped his head and ears, inserting both his index fingers into his ears and wiping the back of his ears with his thumbs, and then wiping over them (the ears) both inside and outside. Then he took another handful and washed his right foot. Then he took another handful and washed his left foot.
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چلو پانی لیا اور اپنا چہرہ دھویا پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چلو اور لیا اور اپنا دایاں ہاتھ دھویا پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چلو اور لیا اور اپنا بایاں ہاتھ دھویا پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چلو اور لیا اور اپنے سر اور کانوں کا مسح کیا اور اپنی دونوں شہادت کی انگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں ڈالیں اور اپنے انگوٹھوں سے اپنے کانوں کے پیچھے مسح کیا اور پھر ان (کانوں) کے اندر اور باہر دونوں طرف مسح کیا پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چلو اور لیا اور اپنا دایاں پاؤں دھویا پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک چلو اور لیا اور اپنا بایاں پاؤں دھویا

`Asim ibn Laqit ibn Sabirah narrated from his father who said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, tell me about ablution. He said: "Perform ablution thoroughly, and rinse between the fingers, and sniff the water well except when you are fasting."`
عاصم بن لقیط بن صبیح اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! مجھے وضو کے بارے میں بتائیے، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : اچھی طرح وضو کرو اور انگلیوں کے درمیان خلال کرو اور ( ناک میں ) پانی اچھی طرح چڑھاؤ سوائے اس کے کہ تم روزے سے ہو۔
Asim bin Laqeet bin Sabihi apne walid se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha : main ne kaha : Ya Rasool Allah ! mujhe wuzu ke bare mein bataiye, aap ne farmaya : achhi tarah wuzu karo aur ungliyon ke darmiyan khilal karo aur ( naak mein ) pani achhi tarah charhao siwaye is ke ki tum rozedar se ho.
Muhammad ibn Ziyad said: Abu Hurayrah used to come upon people while they were performing ablution at the place of ablution and he would say to them, “Perfect your ablution, may Allah bless you, for I heard Abu al-Qasim (the Prophet) say, ‘Woe to the heels from the Fire!’”
محمد بن زیاد نے کہا: ابو ہریرہ لوگوں کے پاس وضو گاہ میں وضو کرتے ہوئے آتے تھے اور ان سے کہتے تھے کہ "اپنا وضو کامل کرو، اللہ تمہیں برکت دے، کیونکہ میں نے ابوالقاسم (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کو کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ 'آگ سے بچو!' "
Muhammad bin Ziyad ne kaha: Abu Hurairah logon ke pass wazu gah mein wazu karte hue aate the aur un se kahte the ke "Apna wazu kamil karo, Allah tumhein barkat de, kyunki maine Abu'l-Qasim (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko kahte hue suna hai ke 'Aag se bacho!' "
Mu'awiya ibn Salih narrated from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr from his father:
that Abu Jubayr al-Kindi came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded him to perform ablution. He said, "Perform ablution, O Abu Jubayr." So he began with his mouth. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do not begin with your mouth, for the disbeliever begins with his mouth." Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called for ablution water and he washed his hands until he cleaned them thoroughly. Then he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his right hand up to the elbow three times. Then he washed his left hand up to the elbow three times. Then he wiped his head and washed his feet.
معاویہ بن صالح نے عبدالرحمن بن جبیر بن نفیر سے ان کے والد سے روایت کی: کہ ابو جبیر کندی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں وضو کرنے کا حکم دیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے ابو جبیر! وضو کرو۔“ تو انہوں نے اپنے منہ سے وضو کرنا شروع کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اپنے منہ سے شروع نہ کرو کیونکہ کافر اپنے منہ سے شروع کرتا ہے۔“ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کا پانی منگوایا اور اپنے ہاتھوں کو دھویا یہاں تک کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اچھی طرح صاف کر لیا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کلی کی اور ناک میں پانی چڑھایا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنا چہرہ تین بار دھویا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے داہنے ہاتھ کو کہنی تک تین بار دھویا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے بائیں ہاتھ کو کہنی تک تین بار دھویا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے سر کا مسح کیا اور اپنے پاؤں دھوئے۔
Muawiya bin Saleh ne Abdul Rahman bin Jabir bin Nafeer se un ke walid se riwayat ki: Ke Abu Jabir Kandi Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hue to Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne unhen wazu karne ka hukum diya. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: “Ae Abu Jabir! Wuzu karo.” To unhon ne apne munh se wazu karna shuru kiya. Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: “Apne munh se shuru na karo kyunki kafir apne munh se shuru karta hai.” Phir Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne wazu ka pani mangwaya aur apne hathon ko dhoya yahan tak ke aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne unhen achhi tarah saaf kar liya. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne kulli ki aur naak mein pani charhaya. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne apna chehra teen baar dhoya. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne apne dahine hath ko kahni tak teen baar dhoya. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne apne bayen hath ko kahni tak teen baar dhoya. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne apne sar ka masah kiya aur apne paon dhoye.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When you dress and when you perform ablution, then begin with your right limbs."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جب تم کپڑا پہنو اور جب وضو کرو تو اپنے دائیں اعضاء سے شروع کرو“۔

شُعبَہ نے بیان کیا کہ اَشْعَث نے اپنے والد سے سنا ، اُنہوں نے مَسْرُوق سے اور اُنہوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پاکیزگی کے کاموں ، جوتے پہننے اور کنگھی کرنے میں دائیں جانب سے شروع کرنے کو پسند فرماتے تھے ۔

حضرت مطلب بن حنطب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ وضو کرتے تو ہر عضو کو تین تین بار دھوتے اور یہ عمل نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف منسوب فرماتے تھے۔

حضرت عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے ہاں گھر میں تھے کہ آپ نے وضو کا پانی منگوایا تو ہم لوگ آپ کے لیے پیتل کا ایک لوٹا لائے جس میں پانی تھا، آپ نے اس میں سے وضو کیا، اپنا چہرہ تین بار دھویا اور اپنے ہاتھ دو بار دھوئے، اپنے سر کا مسح کیا، پھر اپنے ہاتھ (پانی میں) ڈالے اور انہیں دھویا، اور پھر اپنے پاؤں دھوئے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Zaid Radi Allahu Anhuma bayan karte hain ke Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam hamare han ghar mein thay ke aap ne wazu ka pani mangwaya to hum log aap ke liye peetal ka ek lota laye jis mein pani tha, aap ne is mein se wazu kiya, apna chehra teen bar dhoya aur apne hath do bar dhoye, apne sar ka masah kiya, phir apne hath (pani mein) dale aur inhen dhoya, aur phir apne paon dhoye.
'Abdullah bin Fadl narrated to us, on the authority of al-'Irbadh, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah: “The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution, washing each part twice, twice.”
عبداللہ بن فضل نے ہمیں الاربد سے روایت بیان کی ، انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ” نبی کریم ﷺ نے وضو کیا ، ہر اعضاء کو دو دو بار دھویا “ ۔

حضرت ابن عباس رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے بیان فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے وُضو کے بارے میں میں تم میں سب سے زیادہ علم والا ہوں۔ آپ ﷺ ہر عضو کو ایک ہی بار دھوتے تھے۔
