'Urwa reported that Aisha said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray 'Asr while the sun was still in my room, and its shade had not yet appeared in my room."
عروہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عصر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب سورج ابھی میرے حجرے میں ہوتا تھا اور اس کی چھاؤں ابھی میرے حجرے میں نہیں آتی تھی ۔
Urooh raza allaho anho ne bayan kiya keh hazrat Ayesha raza allaho anha ne farmaya keh Rasool Allah sallallaho alaihi wasallam asar ki namaz us waqt parhte thay jab sooraj abhi mere hujre mein hota tha aur us ki chhaon abhi mere hujre mein nahi aati thi.
Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray 'Asr while the sun was still high, such that a person would go to al-'Awali and return while the sun was still high.
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ عصر کی نماز اس وقت ادا فرماتے جب سورج خوب بلند ہوتا، یہاں تک کہ آدمی عوالی جاتا اور واپس آتا تو سورج ابھی بلند ہی ہوتا۔
Hazrat Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Asar ki namaz us waqt ada farmate jab suraj khoob buland hota, yahan tak ki aadmi Awaali jata aur wapas aata to suraj abhi buland hi hota.
Salim bin al-Akwa' said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray Maghrib when the sun had set and disappeared behind the veil."
سالم بن عکوا رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سورج غروب ہونے اور پردے میں چھپ جانے کے بعد مغرب کی نماز پڑھتے تھے۔
Salem bin Akwa razi Allah anhu kehte hain keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam sooraj ghuroob hone aur parde mein chhup jane ke baad Maghrib ki namaz parhte thay.
Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: Muadh ibn Jabal used to pray Maghrib with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, then he would return to his people and lead them in prayer.
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت مُعاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ مغرب کی نماز ادا کرتے، پھر اپنی قوم کے پاس واپس آتے اور انہیں نماز پڑھاتے۔
Jaber bin Abdullah Radi Allaho Anhuma kehte hain ki Hazrat Muaz bin Jabal Radi Allaho Anhu Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke sath Maghrib ki namaz ada karte, phir apni qaum ke pass wapas aate aur unhen namaz parhaate.
Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrated from his father that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about the time of prayer. He said, "Pray with us these two times." So when the sun declined, he prayed Zuhr. He said, and he prayed Asr while the sun was still high, bright, and clear. He prayed Maghrib when the sun had set, and he prayed Isha when the red glow after sunset had disappeared. And he prayed Fajr at dawn. He said, "Then when it was (time for) Zuhr, he commanded Bilal to pronounce the Adhan, so he delayed it until it had become cool. Then he commanded him and he pronounced the Iqamah for Asr while the sun was still bright. He delayed it beyond the (time) which he had (prayed) the first time. He commanded him and he pronounced the Iqamah for Maghrib before the twilight had disappeared. And he commanded him and he pronounced the Iqamah for Isha when a third of the night had passed. And he commanded him, and he pronounced the Iqamah for Fajr and prayed it earlier. Then he said, "Where is the one who asked about the time of prayer?" He said, "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "The time for your prayers is between what you have seen."
سلیمان بن بُریدہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ سے نماز کے اوقات کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’ہمارے ساتھ ان دو وقتوں میں نماز پڑھو۔‘‘ چنانچہ جب سورج ڈھل گیا تو آپ ﷺ نے ظہر کی نماز پڑھی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ آپ ﷺ نے عصر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھی جب سورج ابھی بلند، روشن اور چمک رہا تھا۔ اور جب سورج غروب ہو گیا تو آپ ﷺ نے مغرب کی نماز پڑھی، اور جب سورج کی سرخی غائب ہو گئی تو آپ ﷺ نے عشاء کی نماز پڑھی۔ اور جب صبح ہوئی تو آپ ﷺ نے فجر کی نماز پڑھی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ ’’پھر جب ظہر کا وقت ہوا تو آپ ﷺ نے بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کو اذان دینے کا حکم دیا، تو انہوں نے اس میں اتنی دیر کی یہاں تک کہ ٹھنڈک ہونے لگی، پھر آپ ﷺ نے انہیں عصر کی اقامت کہنے کا حکم دیا تو انہوں نے اس وقت اقامت کہی جبکہ سورج ابھی روشن تھا، آپ ﷺ نے اسے اس وقت سے بھی مؤخر کیا جس وقت آپ ﷺ نے پہلے دن عصر کی نماز پڑھی تھی۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے انہیں مغرب کی اقامت کہنے کا حکم دیا تو انہوں نے اندھیرا چھانے سے پہلے ہی اقامت کہہ دی۔ اور آپ ﷺ نے انہیں عشاء کی اقامت کہنے کا حکم دیا تو انہوں نے رات کا تیسرا حصہ گزرنے پر عشاء کی اقامت کہی۔ اور آپ ﷺ نے انہیں فجر کی اقامت کہنے کا حکم دیا تو انہوں نے فجر کی اقامت کہی اور آپ ﷺ نے جلد نماز پڑھ لی۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’وہ شخص کہاں ہے جو نماز کے وقت کے بارے میں پوچھ رہا تھا؟‘‘ اس نے عرض کیا کہ میں حاضر ہوں اللہ کے رسول ﷺ! آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ’’تمہاری نمازوں کا وقت ان اوقات کے درمیان ہے جو تم نے دیکھا ہے۔‘‘
Suleman bin Buraidah apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki ek shakhs Nabi ﷺ ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur aap se namaz ke auqat ke bare mein poocha. Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: ''Humare sath in do waqton mein namaz parho.'' Chunancha jab suraj dhal gaya to aap ﷺ ne Zuhr ki namaz parhi. Rawi kahte hain ki aap ﷺ ne Asr ki namaz us waqt parhi jab suraj abhi buland, roshan aur chamak raha tha. Aur jab suraj ghuroob ho gaya to aap ﷺ ne Maghrib ki namaz parhi, aur jab suraj ki surkhi ghaib ho gayi to aap ﷺ ne Isha ki namaz parhi. Aur jab subah hui to aap ﷺ ne Fajar ki namaz parhi. Rawi kahte hain ki ''Phir jab Zuhr ka waqt hua to aap ﷺ ne Bilal Raziallahu Anhu ko azan dene ka hukm diya, to unhon ne usme itni dair ki yahan tak ki thandak hone lagi, phir aap ﷺ ne unhen Asr ki iqamat kahne ka hukm diya to unhon ne us waqt iqamat kahi jabki suraj abhi roshan tha, aap ﷺ ne use us waqt se bhi moakhir kiya jis waqt aap ﷺ ne pehle din Asr ki namaz parhi thi. Phir aap ﷺ ne unhen Maghrib ki iqamat kahne ka hukm diya to unhon ne andhera chhane se pehle hi iqamat keh di. Aur aap ﷺ ne unhen Isha ki iqamat kahne ka hukm diya to unhon ne raat ka teesra hissa guzarne par Isha ki iqamat kahi. Aur aap ﷺ ne unhen Fajar ki iqamat kahne ka hukm diya to unhon ne Fajar ki iqamat kahi aur aap ﷺ ne jald namaz parh li. Phir aap ﷺ ne farmaya: ''Woh shakhs kahan hai jo namaz ke waqt ke bare mein pooch raha tha?'' Usne arz kiya ki main hazir hun Allah ke Rasul ﷺ! Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: ''Tumhari namaazon ka waqt in auqat ke darmiyan hai jo tumne dekha hai.''
Nu'man bin Bashir said:
"I am the most knowledgeable of the people concerning the time of this prayer, meaning the 'Isha' prayer. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray it when the moon declined by one-third."
نُعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس نماز کے وقت کے بارے میں لوگوں میں سے میں زیادہ جاننے والا ہوں یعنی عشاء کی نماز کے بارے میں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس وقت اس کی نماز ادا فرماتے تھے جب چاند آسمان میں ایک تہائی ڈھل جاتا تھا۔
Numan bin Bashir razi Allah anhu kehte hain ke is namaz ke waqt ke bare mein logon mein se mein zyada jaannewala hun yani isha ki namaz ke bare mein. Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam us waqt us ki namaz ada farmate the jab chand asman mein ek tihai dhal jata tha.
Muhammad ibn `Amr ibn Hasan said: We asked Jabir ibn `Abdullah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: "He used to pray Zuhr when the sun declined, and `Asr when the sun was still high, and Maghrib when the sun set, and `Isha' - sometimes he would pray it early and sometimes he would delay it. When the people gathered, he would pray it early, and when they did not come, he would delay it. And they used to pray Fajr when it was still dark."
محمد بن عمرو بن حسن نے کہا: ہم نے جابر بن عبداللہ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ انہوں نے کہا: "آپ ظہر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب سورج ڈھل جاتا تھا، اور عصر کی نماز اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب سورج ابھی بلند ہوتا تھا، اور مغرب کی نماز سورج غروب ہونے پر پڑھتے تھے، اور عشاء کی نماز - کبھی جلدی پڑھ لیتے تھے اور کبھی تاخیر سے پڑھتے تھے۔ جب لوگ جمع ہو جاتے تو جلدی پڑھ لیتے تھے اور جب لوگ نہیں آتے تو دیر سے پڑھتے تھے۔ اور فجر کی نماز وہ اندھیرے میں ہی پڑھتے تھے۔"
Muhammad bin Amro bin Hasan ne kaha: hum ne Jabir bin Abdullah se Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki namaz ke bare mein poocha. Unhon ne kaha: "Aap Zuhr ki namaz us waqt parhte thay jab sooraj dhal jata tha, aur Asr ki namaz us waqt parhte thay jab sooraj abhi buland hota tha, aur Maghrib ki namaz sooraj gharoob hone par parhte thay, aur Isha ki namaz - kabhi jaldi parh lete thay aur kabhi takheer se parhte thay. Jab log jama ho jate to jaldi parh lete thay aur jab log nahi aate to dair se parhte thay. Aur Fajr ki namaz woh andhere mein hi parhte thay."
Jabir reported: Allah's Messenger ﷺ went out to his Companions one night while they were waiting for the (evening) prayer. He said: "The people have prayed and gone to sleep, while you are (still) waiting for it. Now (remember) you are in prayer as long as you are waiting for it." He then said: "Were it not for the weakness of the weak and the old age of the old, I would have delayed this prayer to the middle of the night."
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ ایک رات اپنے صحابہ کے پاس تشریف لائے جب وہ عشاء کی نماز کے منتظر تھے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "لوگ نماز پڑھ کر سو گئے اور تم ابھی تک اس کا انتظار کر رہے ہو۔ یاد رکھو تم نماز میں ہو جب تک تم اس کا انتظار کر رہے ہو۔" پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اگر کمزوروں کی کمزوری اور بوڑھوں کی عمر نہ ہوتی تو میں اس نماز کو آدھی رات تک مؤخر کر دیتا۔"
Jaber razi Allah anhu kehte hain ki Allah ke Rasool sallallahu alaihi wasallam ek raat apne sahaba ke pas tashreef laaye jab wo isha ki namaz ke muntazir the. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Log namaz parh kar so gaye aur tum abhi tak iska intezar kar rahe ho. Yaad rakho tum namaz mein ho jab tak tum iska intezar kar rahe ho." Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Agar kamzoron ki kamzori aur budhon ki umr na hoti to main is namaz ko aadhi raat tak moakhir kar deta."
Zirr ibn Hubaysh on the authority of Ibn Masud: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delayed the evening prayer then went out to the mosque and the people were waiting for the prayer, so he said: “Verily, there is no one among the people of religions who remembers Allah at this hour except you.” Then was revealed to him: {Not all of those who have been given the Scripture are the same. There is a community among them that is upright...} to {…prostrating}
حضرت زر بن حبیشؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعودؓ نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک دن مغرب کی نماز مؤخر کردی، پھر مسجد میں تشریف لائے تو لوگ نماز کے انتظار میں تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ''تمہارے سوا اہلِ کتاب میں سے کوئی بھی ایسا نہیں ہے جو اس وقت اللہ کو یاد کر رہا ہو۔'' پھر آپ پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: ''اہلِ کتاب سب ایک جیسے نہیں ہیں، ان میں ایک گروہ ایسا ہے جو راہِ راست پر قائم ہے... سجدہ ریز ہیں۔''
Hazrat Zar bin Habish bayan karte hain keh Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood ne farmaya keh Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek din Maghrib ki namaz moakhar kar di, phir Masjid mein tashreef laaye to log namaz ke intezar mein thay. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ''Tumhare siwa ahle kitaab mein se koi bhi aisa nahin hai jo is waqt Allah ko yaad kar raha ho.'' Phir aap par yeh ayat nazil hui: ''Ahle kitaab sab ek jaise nahin hain, un mein ek giroh aisa hai jo raah e raast par qaaim hai... Sajda riz hain.''
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "If I had not found it hard for my Ummah (nation), I would have ordered them to use the Siwak (tooth stick) along with every Wudhu (ablution) and to delay the Isha (night prayer) until one-third of the night had passed, or half of it."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا، "اگر مجھے اپنی امت پر سخت نہ گزرتا تو میں انہیں ہر وضو کے ساتھ مسواک کرنے اور عشاء کی نماز کو رات کے تہائی یا آدھے حصے تک مؤخر کرنے کا حکم دیتا۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem SAW ne farmaya agar mujhe apni ummat par sakht na guzarta to main unhen har wazu ke saath miswak karne aur isha ki namaz ko raat ke tehrai ya adhe hisse tak moakhir karne ka hukum deta
Ibn Juraij reported: I asked `Ataa', "What is the most preferable time for offering the Umra prayer--in the forenoon or at any other time during the day?" He said: I heard Ibn `Abbas saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Umra when the people had gone to sleep, then they got up and again went to sleep, and then they got up. Then 'Umar said: (What about) the prayer? Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out, and it seemed to me as if I were seeing him now, water trickling down his head, placing his hands on his head. He then said: Were I not afraid of the fact that it would be burdensome for my Umma, I would have commanded them to observe prayer (at this time).
ابن جریج روایت کرتے ہیں: میں نے عطاء سے پوچھا، "عمرہ کی نماز کے لیے کون سا وقت افضل ہے دوپہر سے پہلے یا دن کے کسی اور وقت میں؟" انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے عمرہ کیا جب لوگ سو رہے تھے، پھر وہ اٹھے اور پھر سو گئے، اور پھر اٹھے۔ پھر عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: (نماز کا کیا ہوگا)؟ اس پر رسول اللہ ﷺ باہر تشریف لائے، اور مجھے ایسا لگ رہا تھا جیسے میں ابھی آپ کو دیکھ رہا ہوں، آپ کے سر سے پانی ٹپک رہا تھا، اور آپ نے اپنے سر پر ہاتھ رکھے ہوئے تھے۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اگر مجھے اپنی امت پر اس کے بوجھ کا خوف نہ ہوتا تو میں انہیں اس وقت نماز پڑھنے کا حکم دیتا۔
Ibn Juraij riwayat karte hain: main ne Ata se poocha, "Umrah ki namaz ke liye kon sa waqt afzal hai dophar se pehle ya din ke kisi aur waqt mein?" Unhon ne kaha: main ne Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu se suna, woh keh rahe the ke Rasul Allah ﷺ ne Umrah kiya jab log so rahe the, phir woh uthe aur phir so gaye, aur phir uthe. Phir Umar radi Allahu anhu ne kaha: (Namaz ka kya hoga)? Is par Rasul Allah ﷺ bahar tashreef laaye, aur mujhe aisa lag raha tha jaise main abhi aap ko dekh raha hoon, aap ke sar se pani tapak raha tha, aur aap ne apne sar par hath rakhe huye the. Phir aap ﷺ ne farmaya: agar mujhe apni ummat par iske bojh ka khauf na hota to main unhen is waqt namaz parhne ka hukum deta.
Ata' ibn Abi Rabah narrated that Ibn Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a late dinner one night. Umar ibn al-Khattab came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, [it is time for] prayer, and the women and children have fallen asleep.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, water dripping from his head, saying: 'Were it not that I fear hardship for the believers, I would have ordered them to pray this prayer.'"
عطاء بن ابی رباح بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک رات دیر سے کھانا کھایا۔ تو عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ آئے اور کہنے لگے: "اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! نماز کا وقت ہو گیا ہے اور عورتیں اور بچے سو گئے ہیں۔" رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر تشریف لائے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سر سے پانی ٹپک رہا تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اگر مجھے اہل ایمان پر مشقت کا اندیشہ نہ ہوتا تو میں انہیں اس نماز کا حکم ضرور دیتا۔"
Ata bin Abi Rabah bayan karte hain ke Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma ne kaha ke Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek raat dair se khana khaya to Umar bin Khattab radi Allahu anhu aaye aur kahne lage: "Aye Allah ke Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam! Namaz ka waqt ho gaya hai aur aurten aur bache so gaye hain." Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam bahar tashreef laaye aur aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sar se pani tapak raha tha. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Agar mujhe ahle eman par mushkil ka andesha na hota to main unhen is namaz ka hukum zaroor deta."
Urwah reported that Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, delayed the evening prayer one night, and it was the night that is called "The Night of Delay". The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not come out until Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "The women and children have fallen asleep." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out and said to the people of the mosque, "What is it that the people of the earth are waiting for except for you?" This was before Islam had spread among the people. Ibn Shihab said: And they mentioned that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "And it is not for you to hasten the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to prayer," and that was when Umar ibn al-Khattab had called out.
عروہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک رات عشاء کی نماز مؤخر کردی اور وہ رات تھی جسے "شبِ تَاخِیْر" کہا جاتا ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر تشریف نہ لائے یہاں تک کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ "عورتیں اور بچے سو گئے ہیں۔" رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر تشریف لائے اور مسجد میں موجود لوگوں سے فرمایا کہ "تم زمین والوں سے کس چیز کا انتظار کر رہے ہو؟" یہ اس سے پہلے کی بات ہے جب اسلام لوگوں میں پھیل گیا تھا۔ ابن شہاب رحمہ اللہ نے کہا کہ انہوں نے ذکر کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ "اور یہ تمہارے لیے نہیں ہے کہ تم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نماز کے لیے جلدی کرو" اور یہ اس وقت ہوا جب حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے آواز دی تھی۔
Urwa Radi Allahu Anhu bayan karte hain keh Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha ne farmaya keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne aik raat Isha ki namaz moakhar kardi aur woh raat thi jise "Shab e Takheer" kaha jata hai. Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam bahar tashreef na laye yahan tak keh Hazrat Umar bin Khattab Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha keh "Auratein aur bachay so gaye hain." Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam bahar tashreef laye aur masjid mein mojood logon se farmaya keh "Tum zameen walon se kis cheez ka intezar kar rahe ho?" Yeh us se pehle ki baat hai jab Islam logon mein phail gaya tha. Ibn e Shahab Rahimahullah ne kaha keh unhon ne zikar kiya keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya keh "Aur yeh tumhare liye nahi hai keh tum Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko namaz ke liye jaldi karo" aur yeh us waqt hua jab Hazrat Umar bin Khattab Radi Allahu Anhu ne awaz di thi.
Narrated Nafi' on the authority of Ibn Umar:
One night we waited for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for the last Isha prayer. He came out to us when a third of the night or more had passed and said, "You are waiting for a prayer that no other people of a religion observe except you. And were it not that it would be hard on my Ummah, I would have offered this prayer with them at this hour." He then ordered the mu'adhdhin to pronounce the Adhan and then led us in prayer.
ابن عمر سے روایت ہے کہ ایک رات ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے انتظار میں عشاء کی آخری نماز کے لیے بیٹھے رہے۔ رات کا تہائی یا اس سے زیادہ حصہ گزرنے کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: "تم ایسی نماز کا انتظار کر رہے ہو جو تمہارے سوا کسی اور مذہب کے لوگ ادا نہیں کرتے اور اگر مجھے اپنی امت پر سختی کا اندیشہ نہ ہوتا تو میں ان کے ساتھ اس وقت یہ نماز ادا کرتا"۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مؤذن کو اذان دینے کا حکم دیا اور ہمیں نماز پڑھائی۔
Ibn Umar se riwayat hai ki aik raat hum Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke intezaar mein isha ki aakhri namaz ke liye baithe rahe. Raat ka tehrai ya us se zyada hissa guzarne ke baad aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam hamare paas tashreef laaye aur farmaya: "Tum aisi namaz ka intezaar kar rahe ho jo tumhare siwa kisi aur mazhab ke log ada nahin karte aur agar mujhe apni ummat par sakhti ka andesha na hota to mein un ke saath is waqt yeh namaz ada karta". Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne muazzin ko azan dene ka hukum diya aur humain namaz parhayi.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that they asked Anas ibn Malik, “Did Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) have a ring?” He replied, "Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) delayed the ‘Isha’ prayer one night until it was past midnight, then he came and said, 'The people have prayed, and you will remain in prayer as long as you wait for the prayer.’" Anas said, "It is as if I am looking at the whiteness of his silver ring." And Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) raised his left hand.
ان سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی انگوٹھی کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک رات عشاء کی نماز میں تاخیر فرمائی یہاں تک کہ آدھی رات گزر گئی، پھر آپ تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: ”لوگوں نے نماز پڑھ لی اور تم لوگ نماز میں ہی رہو گے جب تک تم اس کا انتظار کرتے رہو گے۔“ حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ مجھے ایسا معلوم ہوتا ہے جیسے میں آپ کی چاندی کی انگوٹھی کی سفیدی دیکھ رہا ہوں اور حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنا بایاں ہاتھ اٹھایا۔
Un se Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki ungothi ke bare mein poocha gaya to unhon ne kaha ki Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne ek raat Isha ki namaz mein takheer farmai yahan tak ki aadhi raat guzar gayi, phir aap tashreef laye aur farmaya: ”Logon ne namaz parh li aur tum log namaz mein hi raho ge jab tak tum iska intezar karte raho ge.“ Hazrat Anas radi Allahu anhu ne kaha ki mujhe aisa maloom hota hai jaise main aap ki chandi ki ungothi ki safedi dekh raha hun aur Hazrat Anas radi Allahu anhu ne apna baayan hath uthaya.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If it were not difficult for my Ummah, I would have delayed the Isha prayer until the last third of the night.”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اگر میری امت پر مشکل نہ ہوتا تو میں عشاء کی نماز کو رات کے آخری پہر تک مؤخر کر دیتا

Saeed bin Abi Saeed Al-Maqburi reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not that I would make things difficult for my Ummah, I would have delayed the 'Isha' prayer until one-third of the night, or half of the night."
سعيد بن ابی سعید مقبری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا، "اگر مجھے اپنی امت پر سختی کرنے کا خوف نہ ہوتا تو میں عشاء کی نماز کو رات کے ایک تہائی یا آدھی رات تک مؤخر کر دیتا"۔
Saeed bin Abi Saeed Maqburi RA se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya, "Agar mujhe apni ummat par sakhti karne ka khauf na hota to main Isha ki namaz ko raat ke ek tihai ya aadhi raat tak moakhir kar deta".
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: "If I had not found it hard on my followers or feared it would be hard for them, I would have ordered them to use the siwak for every prayer. And I would have delayed the Isha' prayer till the last third of the night, or half way through the night."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اگر مجھے اپنی امت پر سختی نہ ہوتی یا میں ان پر سختی کرنے سے نہ ڈرتا تو میں انہیں ہر نماز کے لیے مسواک کرنے کا حکم دیتا اور میں عشاء کی نماز کو رات کے آخری حصے یا آدھی رات تک مؤخر کردیتا"۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Agar mujhe apni ummat par sakhti na hoti ya main un par sakhti karne se na darta to main unhen har namaz ke liye miswak karne ka hukum deta aur main Isha ki namaz ko raat ke aakhri hisse ya aadhi raat tak moakhiar karta".
Ibn Umar narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not let the Bedouins prevail over you in the name of your Isha' prayer. They call it 'Atamah because of the darkening of the camels.”
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: تم اپنی عشاء کی نماز کے نام میں بدّوؤں کو غالب نہ ہونے دینا۔ وہ اسے اونٹوں کے سیاہ ہونے کی وجہ سے "عتمہ" کہتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki Nabi SAW ne farmaya: Tum apni Isha ki namaz ke naam mein baduon ko ghalib na hone dena. Woh ise oonton ke siyah hone ki wajah se "Atma" kehte hain.
