It is narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that after the death of Abu Salamah and the completion of her waiting period, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent her a marriage proposal. She said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have three qualities: I am old in age." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I am older than you." She said, "I am a jealous woman." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I will pray to Allah to remove your jealousy." She said, "And I have children." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "They are the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married her. Then whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would come to her for seclusion, she would grab her daughter Zainab and make her sit in her lap as soon as she saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and eventually the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go back. When Ammar bin Yasir, who was the foster brother of Umm Salamah, came to know about this, he came to Umm Salamah and said, "Where is that dirty girl by whom you are harming the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" and he took her with him. This time, when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived and entered the house, he looked around in all four corners of the room and then asked about the girl, "Where did Zainab go?" She replied, " Ammar came and took her with him." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) secluded himself with her and said, "If you wish, I can spend seven days with you, but then I will spend seven days with each of my other wives." She said, "No, you decide the turn."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ابوسلمہ کی وفات اور ان کی عدت گزرنے کے بعد نبی ﷺ نے انہیں پیغام نکاح بھیجا انہوں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! مجھ میں تین خصلتیں ہیں، میں عمر میں بڑی ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا میں تم سے بھی بڑا ہوں انہوں نے کہا کہ میں غیور عورت ہوں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا میں اللہ سے دعا کردوں گا وہ تمہاری غیرت دور کردے گا، انہوں نے کہا میرے بچے بھی ہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ وہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی ذمہ داری میں ہیں، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے ان سے نکاح فرمالیا۔ پھر نبی ﷺ جب بھی ان کے پاس خلوت کے لئے آتے تو وہ نبی ﷺ کو دیکھتے ہی اپنی بیٹی زینب کو پکڑ کر اسے اپنی گود میں بٹھالیتی تھیں اور بالآخر نبی ﷺ یوں ہی واپس چلے جاتے تھے، حضرت عماربن یاسر جو کہ حضرت ام سلمہ کے رضاعی بھائی تھے، کو یہ بات معلوم ہوئی تو وہ حضرت ام سلمہ کے پاس آئے اور ان سے کہا یہ گندی بچی کہاں ہے جس کے ذریعے تم نے نبی ﷺ کو ایذاء دے رکھی ہے اور اسے پکڑ کر اپنے ساتھ لے گئے۔ اس مرتبہ نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے اور گھر میں داخل ہوئے تو اس کمرے کے چاروں کونوں میں نظریں دوڑا کر دیکھنے لگے پھر بچی کے متعلق پوچھا کہ زناب (زینب) کہاں گئی؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ حضرت عمار آئے تھے وہ اسے اپنے ساتھ لے گئے ہیں، پھر نبی ﷺ نے ان کے ساتھ خلوت کی اور فرمایا اگر تم چاہو تو میں تمہارے پاس سات دن گزارتا ہوں لیکن پھر اپنی دوسری بیویوں میں سے ہر ایک کے پاس بھی سات سات دن گزاروں گا۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا نہیں آپ باری مقرر کرلیجئے۔

It is narrated on the authority of Umme Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) that when her waiting period after the death of Abu Salma (may Allah be pleased with him) was over, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent her a marriage proposal. This time when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived and entered the house, he looked around in all four corners of the room and then asked about the girl, "Where is Zainab?" She replied, " Ammar came and took her with him." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) secluded himself with her and said, "If you wish, I will spend seven days with you, but then I will also spend seven days with each of my other wives." She said, "No, you decide the turn."

It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, "Whoever suffers a calamity and says 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un' (To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return) and then supplicates, 'O Allah! Reward me in this calamity of mine, and grant me a better substitute for it,' Allah will surely grant him reward for his calamity and will give him a better substitute for it." When my husband Abu Salama passed away, I thought, who could be better than Abu Salama? But still, Allah Almighty bestowed upon me the strength of honor and I recited this prayer. And after my waiting period was over, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent the proposal of marriage to me.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ جس شخص کو کوئی مصیبت پہنچے اور وہ اناللہ وانا الیہ راجعون کہہ کر یہ دعا کرلے کہ اے اللہ! مجھے اس مصیبت پر اجرعطا فرما اور مجھے اس کا بہترین نعم البدل عطاء فرما تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے اس کی مصیبت پر اجر فرمائے گا اور اسے اس کا نعم البدل عطا فرمائے گا جب میرے شوہر ابوسلمہ فوت ہوئے تو میں نے سوچا کہ ابوسلمہ سے بہتر کون ہوسکتا ہے پھر بھی اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے عزت کی قوت دی اور میں نے یہ دعاء پڑھ لی اور عدت گزرنے کے بعد نبی ﷺ نے ان کے پاس پیغام نکاح بھیج دیا۔
Hazrat Umm Salma Razi Allahu Anha se marvi hai ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna ki jis shakhs ko koi musibat pahunche aur wo Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun keh kar ye dua kar le ki aye Allah mujhe is musibat par ajr ata farma aur mujhe iska behtarin نعم البدل ata farma to Allah Ta'ala use iski musibat par ajr farmaye ga aur use iska نعم البدل ata farmaye ga jab mere shohar Abu Salma فوت huye to maine socha ki Abu Salma se behtar kaun ho sakta hai phir bhi Allah Ta'ala ne mujhe izzat ki quwwat di aur maine ye dua parh li aur iddat guzarne ke bad Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unke pas paigham nikah bhej diya.
Muhammad bin Tahla reported: I said to Abu Salama, "The husband of your wet nurse, Salim, does not perform a new ablution after eating food cooked on fire." Abu Salama struck his chest and said, "I bear witness to the fact that Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), testified that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform ablution after eating food cooked on fire."

محمد بن طحلاء کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابوسلمہ سے کہا کہ آپ کی دائی کا شوہر سلیم آگ پر پکی ہوئی چیز کھانے کے بعد نیا وضو نہیں کرتا، تو انہوں نے سلیم کے سینے پر ہاتھ مار کر کہا کہ میں حضرت ام سلمہ جو کہ نبی ﷺ کی زوجہ محترمہ تھیں کے متعلق شہادت دیتا ہوں کہ وہ نبی ﷺ کے متعلق آگ پر پکی ہوئی چیز کھانے کے بعد وضو کرنے کی شہادت دیتی تھیں۔
Muhammad bin Tahla kehte hain ke maine Abu Salama se kaha ke aap ki dai ka shohar Saleem aag par paki hui cheez khane ke baad naya wuzu nahin karta to unhon ne Saleem ke seene par hath maar kar kaha ke main Hazrat Umm e Salma jo ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki zauja mohtarma theen ke mutalliq shahadat deta hun ke wo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke mutalliq aag par paki hui cheez khane ke baad wuzu karne ki shahadat deti theen.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer Witr prayer with seven or five rak'ahs and did not separate them with Salaam or any speech.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سات یا پانچ رکعتوں پر وتر پڑھتے تھے اور ان کے درمیان سلام یا کلام کسی طرح بھی فصل نہیں فرماتے تھے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saat ya panch rakaton par witr parhte thay aur un ke darmiyan salam ya kalam kisi tarah bhi fasal nahin farmate thay.
It is narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away, most of his prayers were offered while sitting. And the most beloved deed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the one that was done regularly, even if it was little.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کا جس وقت وصال ہوا تو آپ ﷺ کی اکثر نمازیں بیٹھ کر ہوتی تھیں اور نبی ﷺ کے نزدیک سب سے پسندیدہ عمل وہ تھا جو ہمیشہ ہو اگرچہ تھوڑا ہو۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka jis waqt wisal hua to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki aksar namazain beth kar hoti thin aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke nazdeek sab se pasandida amal wo tha jo hamesha ho agarche thora ho.
It is narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the last will of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was to take care of prayer and to treat your slaves well. While he was saying this, the blessed chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to rattle and his tongue stopped.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کی آخری وصیت یہ تھی کہ نماز کا خیال رکھنا اور اپنے غلاموں کے ساتھ حسن سلوک کرنا یہی کہتے کہتے نبی ﷺ کا سینہ مبارک کھڑکھڑانے اور زبان رکنے لگی۔
Hazrat Umm Salma Razi Allahu Anha se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki aakhri wasiyat ye thi ki namaz ka khayal rakhna aur apne ghulamon ke sath husn sulook karna yahi kahte kahte Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka seena mubarak kharkharane aur zaban rukne lagi.
Narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There will come upon you rulers, some of whose habits you will consider good and some you will criticize. Whoever criticizes them will be free from blame, and whoever expresses disapproval will be safe, except for one who follows them in obedience." The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should we not fight them?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, as long as they establish the five prayers with you."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا عنقریب چھ حکمران ایسے آئیں گے جن کی عادات میں سے بعض کو تم اچھا سمجھو گے اور بعض پر نکیر کروگے سو جو نکیر کرے گا وہ اپنی ذمہ داری سے بری ہوجائگا اور جو ناپسندیدگی کا اظہار کردے گا وہ محفوظ رہے گا، البتہ جو راضی ہو کر اس کے تابع ہوجائے (تو اس کا حکم دوسرا ہے) صحابہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ کیا ہم ان سے قتال نہ کریں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا نہیں جب تک وہ تمہیں پانچ نمازیں پڑھاتے رہیں۔
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya anqareeb chhe hukmaran aise ayenge jin ki aadaten mein se baaz ko tum achha samjho ge aur baaz par nakir karo ge so jo nakir kare ga woh apni zimmedari se bari ho jaye ga aur jo napasandeedagi ka izhaar kar de ga woh mahfooz rahe ga, albatta jo razi ho kar uske taabe ho jaye (to uska hukum dusra hai) Sahaba ne arz kiya ya Rasulullah kya hum unse qatal na karen? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya nahin jab tak woh tumhen panch namazain parhate rahen.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would leave his house, he would recite this prayer, "In the name of Allah, I put my trust in Allah. O Allah! We seek refuge in You from that we slip or go astray or oppress or are oppressed or behave ignorantly or are treated ignorantly."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب گھر سے نکلتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے، اللہ کے نام سے میں اللہ پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں اے اللہ! ہم اس بات سے آپ کی پناہ میں آتے ہیں کہ پھسل جائیں یا گمراہ ہوجائیں یا ظلم کریں یا کوئی ہم پر ظلم کرے یا ہم کسی سے جہالت کا مظاہرہ کریں یا کوئی ہم سے جہالت کا مظاہرہ کرے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma RA se marvi hai keh Nabi SAW jab ghar se nikalte to yeh dua parhte, Allah ke naam se mein Allah per bharosa karta hoon, Ae Allah! Hum is baat se aap ki pana mein aate hain keh phisal jayen ya gumrah ho jaen ya zulm karein ya koi hum per zulm kare ya hum kisi se jahalat ka muzahra karein ya koi hum se jahalat ka muzahra kare.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) death approached, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would mostly offer his prayers sitting down. And the most beloved deed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the one that was done regularly, even if it was little.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کا جس وقت وصال ہوا تو آپ ﷺ کی اکثر نمازیں بیٹھ کر ہوتی تھیں اور نبی ﷺ کے نزدیک سب سے پسندیدہ عمل وہ تھا جو ہمیشہ ہو اگرچہ تھوڑا ہو۔

It is narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to supplicate after the Fajr prayer, "O Allah! I ask You for beneficial knowledge, accepted deeds, and lawful provision."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نماز فجر کے بعد یہ دعاء فرماتے تھے اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے علم نافع، عمل مقبول اور رزق حلال کا سوال کرتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz fajar ke baad yeh dua farmate thy Aye Allah main tujh se ilm nafey amal maqbool aur rizq halal ka sawal karta hun.
It is narrated on the authority of Umme Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse of Surah Hud like this: "Those who do unrighteous deeds."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے سورت ہود کی یہ آیت اس طرح پڑھی ہے انہ عمل غیرصالح۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Surah Hud ki ye ayat is tarah parhi hai in amilun ghair saliheen.
It is narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that my bed used to be spread right in front of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayer place, and I would lie down in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he would be offering prayer.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میرا بستر نبی ﷺ کے مصلی کے بالکل سامنے بچھا ہوتا تھا اور میں نبی ﷺ کے سامنے لیٹی ہوتی تھی اور نبی ﷺ نماز پڑھ رہے ہوتے تھے۔

It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Should we not mix a little bit of gold with musk?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Why don't you mix it with silver, then mix it with saffron, so that the silver becomes like gold."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کیا ہم تھوڑا سا سونا لے کر اس میں مشک نہ ملا لیا کریں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم اسے چاندی کے ساتھ کیوں نہیں ملاتیں، پھر اسے زعفران کے ساتھ خلط ملط کرلیا کرو، جس سے وہ چاندی بھی سونے کی طرح ہوجائیگی۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ke unhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha Ya Rasul Allah! kya hum thoda sa sona lekar us mein mushk na mila liya karen? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum use chandi ke sath kyon nahin milati, phir use zaffran ke sath khalt malt kar liya karo, jis se woh chandi bhi sone ki tarah ho jaigi.
It is narrated by Umme Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I wore a necklace that had stripes of gold in it. Upon seeing it, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned away from me and said, "Who has made you so fearless that Allah will make you wear stripes of fire in its place on the Day of Judgement?" So I took it off.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے ایک ہار پہن لیا جس میں سونے کی دھاریاں بنی ہوئی تھیں، نبی ﷺ نے اسے دیکھ کر مجھ سے اعراض کرتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ تمہیں اس بات سے کس نے بےخوف کردیا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں قیامت کے دن اس کی جگہ آگ کی دھاریاں پہنائے گا؟ چنانچہ میں نے اسے اتاردیا۔
Hazrat Umm e Salma RA se marvi hai keh ek martaba mein ne ek haar pehen liya jis mein sone ki dhariyan bani hui thi, Nabi SAW ne usey dekh kar mujh se airaz karte hue farmaya keh tumhein is baat se kis ne bekhauf kar diya keh Allah Ta'ala tumhein qayamat ke din is ki jagah aag ki dhariyan pehnaye ga? Chunanche mein ne usey utaar diya.
It is narrated from Mujahid that once Umm Salama submitted in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah, men participate in Jihad, but we cannot participate in it, then we also get half the inheritance?" Upon this, Allah Almighty revealed this verse, "Do not covet that by which Allah has given some of you preference over others."

مجاہد سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ام سلمہ نے بارگاہ نبوت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ مرد جہاد میں شرکت کرتے ہیں لیکن ہم اس میں شرکت نہیں کرسکتے، پھر ہمیں میراث بھی نصف ملتی ہے؟ اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی اس چیز کی تمنا مت کیا کرو جس میں اللہ نے تم میں سے بعض کو بعض پر فضیلت دے رکھی ہے۔
Mujaahid se marvi hai keh aik martaba Hazrat Umm e Salma ne bargah e Nabuwat mein arz kiya Ya Rasulullah mard jihad mein shirkat karte hain lekin hum uss mein shirkat nahi kar sakte phir humain wirasat bhi nisf milti hai Iss par Allah Ta'ala ne yeh ayat nazil farmaai Iss cheez ki tamanna mat karo jis mein Allah ne tum mein se baaz ko baaz par fazilat de rakhi hai
Uthman ibn Abdullah said: Once we went to visit Umm Salamah, and she brought out for us a hair of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to show us. It had been dyed with henna and katam, and was reddish.

عثمان بن عبداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ حضرت ام سلمہ کے پاس گئے تو انہوں نے ہمارے سامنے نبی ﷺ کا ایک بال نکال کر دکھایا جو کہ مہندی اور وسمہ سے رنگا ہوا ہونے کی وجہ سے سرخ ہوچکا تھا۔
Usman bin Abdullah kehte hain ki ek martaba hum log Hazrat Umme Salma ke paas gaye to unhon ne hamare samne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka ek baal nikaal kar dikhaya jo ki mehendi aur wasma se ranga hua hone ki waja se surkh ho chuka tha.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that in the beginning, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer thirteen rak'ahs for Witr. But when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) grew old and weak, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started offering seven rak'ahs for Witr.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ پہلے نبی ﷺ تیرہ رکعتوں پر وتر بناتے تھے لیکن جب آپ ﷺ کی عمربڑھ گئی اور کمزوری ہوگئی تو نبی ﷺ سات رکعتوں پر وتر بنانے لگے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki pehle Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) terah rakaton par witr banate the lekin jab Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki umar barh gayi aur kamzori hogayi to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saat rakaton par witr banane lage.
It is narrated on the authority of Umme Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you visit a person who is dying or sick, then pray for his well-being, because the angels say 'Amen' to your prayer."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جب تم کسی قریب المرگ یا بیمار آدمی کے پاس جایا کرو تو اس کے حق میں دعائے خیر کیا کرو کیونکہ ملائکہ تمہاری دعاء پر آمین کہتے ہیں۔
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya jab tum kisi qareeb ul marg ya bimar aadmi ke pass jaya karo to uske haq mein duae khair kiya karo kyunki malaika tumhari dua par ameen kehte hain.
Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): Fatima bint Abi Hubaish had a continuous flow of blood. When she would finish taking a bath in her tub, the water would be mostly yellow and murky. Umm Salamah inquired about this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that she should wait for the number of days and nights that she used to experience purity during her regular cycle. After estimating the number of days of her usual period, she should stop praying for that duration. After that period, she should perform ghusl (ritual bath), wear clean clothes, and begin praying.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ فاطمہ بنت ابی حبیش کا دم استحاضہ جاری رہتا تھا، وہ اپنے ٹب میں غسل کرکے جب نکلتیں تو اس کی سطح پر زردی اور مٹیالاپن غالب ہوتا تھا حضرت ام سلمہ نے نبی ﷺ سے اس کا حکم دریافت کیا تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ وہ اتنے دن رات تک انتظار کرے جتنے دن تک اسے پہلے ناپاکی کا سامنا ہوتا تھا اور مہینے میں اتنے دنوں کا اندازہ کرلے اور اتنے دن تک نماز چھوڑے رکھے اس کے بعد غسل کر کے کپڑا باندھ لے اور نماز پڑھنے لگے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki Fatima bint Abi Habish ka dam istihaza jari rehta tha woh apne tub mein ghusl karke jab nikalti thin to uski satah par zurdi aur mattiyalapan ghalib hota tha Hazrat Umm Salma ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se uska hukm daryaft kiya to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki woh itne din raat tak intizar kare jitne din tak use pehle napaki ka samna hota tha aur mahine mein itne dinon ka andaza karle aur itne din tak namaz chhode rakhe uske baad ghusl karke kapda bandh le aur namaz padhne lage.
It is narrated by Umme Salma (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate a piece of shoulder meat. Meanwhile, Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), without touching water, went to offer prayer.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے شانے کا گوشت تناول فرمایا اسی دوران حضرت بلال آگئے اور نبی علیہ السلا پانی کو ہاتھ لگائے بغیر نماز کے لئے تشریف لے گئے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne shane ka gosht tanavul farmaya usi dauran Hazrat Bilal aa gaye aur Nabi alaihis salam pani ko hath lagaye baghair namaz ke liye tashreef le gaye.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that she showed how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited the first three verses of Surah Fatiha with pauses (pausing after each verse).
حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے نبی ﷺ کی قرأت کے حوالے سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے سورت فاتحہ کی پہلی تین آیات کو توڑتوڑ کر پڑھ کر (ہر آیت پر وقف کر کے) دکھایا۔
Hazrat Umm e Salma razi Allah anha se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki qirat ke hawale se marvi hai ki unhon ne Surah Fatiha ki pehli teen ayaat ko tod tod kar parh kar (har ayat par waqf kar ke) dikhaaya.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama that once I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) under a blanket when my period started. I slipped away, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Go and tie a waist wrapper and come back!".

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ ایک لحاف میں تھی کہ مجھے ایام شروع ہوگئے میں کھسکنے لگی تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ جا کر ازارباندھو اور واپس آجاؤ!
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki ek martaba mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath ek lihaf mein thi ki mujhe ayam shuru hogaye mein khisakne lagi to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki ja kar izaar bandho aur wapas aajao!
Abu Saleh says that once I visited Umme Salma, during that time her nephew also arrived and he offered two rak'ahs of prayer in her house. During the prayer, when he went into prostration, he blew to remove dust, so Umme Salma said to him, "Nephew, do not blow because I once heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to my slave, whose name was Yasar, who had also blown, 'Let your face be covered in dust for the sake of Allah.'"

ابوصالح کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت ام سلمہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اسی دوارن وہاں ان کا ایک بھتیجا بھی آگیا اور اس نے ان کے گھر میں دو رکعتیں پڑھیں، دوران نماز جب وہ سجدہ میں جانے لگا تو اس نے مٹی اڑانے کے لئے پھونک ماری تو حضرت ام سلمہ نے اس سے فرمایا بھتیجے پھونکیں نہ مارو کیونکہ میں نے نبی علیہ السلا کو بھی ایک مرتبہ اپنے غلام جس کا نام یسار تھا اور اس نے بھی پھونک ماری تھی سے فرماتے ہوئے سنا تھا کہ اپنے چہرے کو اللہ کے لئے خاک آلود ہونے دو۔
Abu Saleh kehte hain ki aik martaba main Hazrat Umm Salma ki khidmat mein hazir hua isi dauran wahan unka aik bhateeja bhi agaya aur usne unke ghar mein do rakaat padhi, dauran namaz jab wo sajda mein jane laga to usne mitti urane ke liye phonk maari to Hazrat Umm Salma ne usse farmaya bhateeje phunki na maro kyunki maine Nabi Alaihissalam ko bhi aik martaba apne ghulam jis ka naam Yasar tha aur usne bhi phonk maari thi se farmate huye suna tha ki apne chehre ko Allah ke liye khaak aalud hone do.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would optionally perform Ghusl (ritual bath) in the morning and observe a fast and would not break it.

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ بعض اوقات نبی ﷺ پر صبح کے وقت اختیاری طور پر غسل واجب ہوتا تھا اور نبی ﷺ روزہ رکھ لیتے تھے اور ناغہ نہ کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Umm Salma razi Allah anha se marvi hai ki baz auqat Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par subah ke waqt ikhtiyari tor par ghusl wajib hota tha aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) roza rakh lete the aur nagha na karte the.
Narrated by Umme Salma, may Allah be pleased with her, that once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to Fatima, "Call your husband and children too." So Ali and Hassan and Hussain also came. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, took the sheet of Fadak and covered them all with it and raised his hand towards the sky and said, "O Allah, these are the people of my house, so send down Your mercy and blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, the Great." On this I entered my head into the room and submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, am I with you too?" The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, "You are also on good, you are also on good."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے حضرت فاطمہ سے فرمایا کہ اپنے شوہر اور بچوں کو بھی بلال اؤ چنانچہ حضرت علی اور حضرات حسنین بھی آگئے۔
نبی علیہ السلام نے فدک کی چادرلے کر ان سب پر ڈال دی اور اپنا ہاتھ باہر نکال کر آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کر کے فرمایا اے اللہ یہ لوگ میرے اہل بیت ہیں تو محمد و آل محمد ﷺ پر اپنی رحمتوں اور برکتوں کا نزول فرما بیشک تو قابل تعریف بزرگی والا ہے، اس پر میں نے اس کمرے میں اپنا سر داخل کرکے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ میں بھی تو آپ کے ساتھ ہوں نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم بھی خیر پر ہو، تم بھی خیر پر ہو۔
Hazrat Umm e Salma Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne Hazrat Fatima se farmaya ki apne shohar aur bachon ko bhi bulao chunacha Hazrat Ali aur Hazrat-e-Hasnain bhi agaye. Nabi Alaihissalam ne Fadak ki chadar le kar in sab par daal di aur apna haath bahar nikal kar aasman ki taraf ishara kar ke farmaya aye Allah ye log mere Ahle Bait hain to Muhammad-o-Aal-e-Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam par apni rehmaton aur barkaton ka nuzool farma beshak tu qabil-e-tarif bazurgi wala hai, iss par maine iss kamre mein apna sar dakhil kar ke arz kiya Ya Rasulullah mein bhi to aap ke saath hun. Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya tum bhi khair par ho, tum bhi khair par ho.
It is narrated by Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mentioned an army that would be swallowed by the earth. Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "What if there are some people among them who were forced to join it?" Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) replied, "They will be resurrected according to their intentions."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے اس لشکرکا تذکرہ کیا جسے زمین میں دھنسا دیا جائے گا تو حضرت ام سلمہ نے عرض کیا کہ ہوسکتا ہے اس لشکر میں ایسے لوگ بھی ہوں جنہیں زبردستی اس میں شامل کرلیا گیا ہو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا انہیں ان کی نیتوں پر اٹھایا جائے گا۔
Hazrat Umm Salma raziallahu anha se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne iss lashkar ka tazkara kiya jise zameen mein dhansa diya jayega to Hazrat Umm Salma ne arz kiya ki ho sakta hai iss lashkar mein aise log bhi hon jinhen zabardasti iss mein shamil kar liya gaya ho Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya inhen in ki niyyaton par uthaya jayega.
Abu Abdullah Jidli said that once I went to visit Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, and she said to me, "Is the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, being verbally abused in your presence?" I said, "God forbid! How can that be?" She said, "I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say that whoever verbally abuses Ali verbally abuses me."

ابو عبداللہ جدلی کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت ام سلمہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا کیا تمہاری موجودگی میں نبی ﷺ کو برابھلا کہا جارہا ہے؟ میں نے کہا معاذ اللہ! یہ کیسے ہوسکتا ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جو علی کو برا بھلا کہتا ہے وہ مجھے برا بھلا کہتا ہے۔
Abu Abdullah jadli kahte hain ke ek martaba main Hazrat Umm Salma ki khidmat main hazir hua to unhon ne mujh se farmaya kya tumhari mojoodgi main Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko bura bhala kaha ja raha hai? Main ne kaha maazallah! Yeh kaise ho sakta hai? Unhon ne farmaya ke main ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna hai ke jo Ali ko bura bhala kahta hai wo mujhe bura bhala kahta hai.
Someone asked Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) if a woman can bathe with a man. She replied, "Yes, as long as they are conscious (meaning husband and wife). I have seen the time when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I used to bathe from the same tub. We would first pour water on our hands and wash them thoroughly, then we would pour water on our bodies."

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کسی نے سوال پوچھا کہ کیا عورت مرد کے ساتھ غسل کرسکتی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں جبکہ وہ باشعور ہو (مراد بیوی ہونا ہے) میں نے وہ وقت دیکھا ہے کہ میں اور نبی ﷺ ایک ہی ٹب سے غسل کرلیا کرتے تھے، پہلے ہم اپنے ہاتھوں پر پانی بہا کر انہیں اچھی طرح صاف کرتے تھے پھر اپنے جسم پر پانی بہا لیتے تھے۔
Hazrat Umme Salma razi Allah tala anha se kisi ne sawal poocha ke kya aurat mard ke sath ghusl kar sakti hai? Unhon ne farmaya haan jabke wo bashaoor ho (murad biwi hona hai) maine wo waqt dekha hai ke main aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek hi tub se gusal kar liya karte thay, pehle hum apne hathon per pani baha kar unhen achi tarah saaf karte thay phir apne jism per pani baha lete thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to observe fasts more often on Saturdays and Sundays than on other days and would say that these are the days of Eid for the polytheists, so I like to oppose them (in matters that are not inherently prohibited in Islam).

حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ عام دنوں کی نسبت ہفتہ اور اتوار کے دن کثرت کے ساتھ روزے رکھتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ یہ مشرکین کی عید کے دن ہیں اس لئے میں چاہتا ہوں کہ ان کے خلاف کروں۔
Hazrat Umm Salma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aam dinon ki nisbat hafta aur itwar ke din kasrat ke sath rozy rakhte thy aur farmate thy ki ye mushrikeen ki eid ke din hain isliye main chahta hun ki inke khilaf karun.
