Abu Qatada's father said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was invited to a funeral, he would ask about the deceased. If good was mentioned about him, he would stand and pray. And if evil was mentioned about him, he would say to his family, "Do what you will with him," and he would not pray over him.
حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے والد بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب رسول اللہ ﷺ کو جنازے میں شرکت کی دعوت دی جاتی تو آپ ﷺ میت کے بارے میں پوچھتے۔ اگر اس کے بارے میں اچھائی بیان کی جاتی تو آپ ﷺ کھڑے ہو کر نماز جنازہ پڑھتے۔ اور اگر اس کے بارے میں برائی بیان کی جاتی تو آپ ﷺ اس کے اہل خانہ سے فرماتے، "تم اس کے ساتھ جو چاہو کرو" اور آپ ﷺ اس کا جنازہ نہ پڑھتے۔
Hazrat Abu Qatada Raziallahu Anhu ke walid bayan karte hain ki jab Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko janaze mein shirkat ki dawat di jati to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mayyat ke bare mein pochhte. Agar uske bare mein achhai bayan ki jati to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam kharde ho kar namaz janaza parhte. Aur agar uske bare mein burai bayan ki jati to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam uske ahl khana se farmate, "Tum uske sath jo chaho karo" aur aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam uska janaza na parhte.
Abu Qatada narrated that the Prophet ﷺ was brought a funeral to offer the funeral prayer for him. He said, "Does he have any debt?" They replied, "Yes, two dinars."
حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس ایک جنازہ لایا گیا کہ آپ اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے پوچھا: "کیا اس پر کوئی قرض ہے؟" صحابہ نے عرض کیا: "جی ہاں، دو دینار۔"
Hazrat Abu Qatada Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas ek janaza laya gaya ki aap uski namaz-e-janaza padhaen. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne poocha: "Kya is par koi qarz hai?" Sahaba ne arz kiya: "Jee haan, do dinar."
Abu Qatada reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was brought a funeral so he could pray over it. He said, “Does he have any debt?” They said, “He has two dinars of debt.” The Prophet said, “Pray for your companion.” Abu Qatada said, “O Messenger of Allah, they are upon me.” So the Messenger of Allah came forward and prayed over him.
ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک جنازہ لایا گیا کہ آپ اس پر نماز پڑھیں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا کیا اس پر قرض ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا جی ہاں دو دینار کا قرض ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اپنے ساتھی کی نماز پڑھ لو۔ ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا اللہ کے رسول ! یہ قرض میرے ذمہ ہے ۔ چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آگے بڑھے اور اس پر نماز پڑھی
Abu Qatada Radi Allahu Anhu ne bayan kya keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas ek janaza laya gaya keh aap us par namaz parhein. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne poocha kya us par qarz hai? Logon ne kaha ji haan do dinar ka qarz hai. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya apne saathi ki namaz parh lo. Abu Qatada Radi Allahu Anhu ne arz kiya Allah ke Rasul! Yeh qarz mere zimme hai. Chunancha aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam aage barhe aur us par namaz parhi.
Abu Qatada narrated that his father said: A man was brought to the Prophet ﷺ so he could pray over him. He ﷺ said: “Pray over your companion, for verily he has debt upon him.” Abu Qatada said: “I will take responsibility for it.” He ﷺ said: “With repayment?” He said: “With repayment.” So he ﷺ prayed over him. And upon him was eighteen or seventeen Dirhams.
ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ان کے والد نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس ایک شخص کو لایا گیا تاکہ آپ ﷺ اس پر نماز جنازہ پڑھائیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اپنے ساتھی پر خود نماز پڑھو، کیونکہ اس پر قرض ہے۔" ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: "میں اس کی ذمہ داری لیتا ہوں۔" آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "ادائیگی کے ساتھ؟" انہوں نے کہا: "ادائیگی کے ساتھ۔" تو آپ ﷺ نے اس پر نماز جنازہ پڑھائی۔ اور اس پر اٹھارہ یا سترہ درہم کا قرض تھا۔
Abu Qatada Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki un ke walid ne kaha: Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke pass ek shakhs ko laya gaya taake aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam us par namaz-e-janaza parhaen. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Apne saathi par khud namaz parho, kyunki us par qarz hai." Abu Qatada Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha: "Main is ki zimmedari leta hun." Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Adaigi ke saath?" Unhon ne kaha: "Adaigi ke saath." To aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us par namaz-e-janaza parhayi. Aur us par atharah ya satrah darham ka qarz tha.
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The soul of the believer is held in suspense because of his debt until it is paid off."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "مومن کی روح اس کے قرض کی وجہ سے معلق رہتی ہے یہاں تک کہ اسے ادا کر دیا جائے"۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Momin ki rooh uske qarz ki wajah se mulaq rahti hai yahan tak keh use ada kar diya jaye".
Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that:
When the Prophet ﷺ mentioned the Hour, his cheeks would turn red, his anger would intensify, and his voice would rise as if he were a warner of an army. He would say, "You have become morning and evening." And he would say: «I am more deserving of the believers than themselves. So whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs, and whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents, it is upon me and to me. For I am more deserving of the believers.»
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ جب نبی کریم ﷺ قیامت کا ذکر فرماتے تو آپ ﷺ کے رخسار سرخ ہو جاتے، آپ ﷺ کا غصہ تیز ہو جاتا اور آپ ﷺ کی آواز بلند ہو جاتی گویا آپ ﷺ کسی لشکر کو خبردار کرنے والے ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ فرماتے: «تم صبح و شام ہوچکے ہو» اور آپ ﷺ فرماتے: «میں خود ان پر مومنوں کا زیادہ حق دار ہوں۔ پس جس نے مال چھوڑا وہ تو اس کے ورثاء کے لیے ہے اور جس نے قرض یا اہل و عیال چھوڑے تو وہ مجھ پر ہے اور میری ذمہ داری ہے۔ بے شک میں خود ان پر مومنوں کا زیادہ حق دار ہوں»
Jaber bin Abdullah razi Allah unhuma se riwayat hai ki jab Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam qayamat ka zikar farmate to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke rukhsar surkh ho jate, aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ka ghussa tez ho jata aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki awaz buland ho jati goya aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam kisi lashkar ko khabardar karne wale hain. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam farmate: «Tum subah o sham hochuke ho» aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam farmate: «Main khud un par mominon ka zyada haqdar hun. Pas jisne maal chhora wo to uske warisai ke liye hai aur jisne qarz ya ahal o ayaal chhore to wo mujh par hai aur meri zimmedari hai. Be shak main khud un par mominon ka zyada haqdar hun»
Abu Huraira reported: When a man died in the time of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he owed some debt, he (the Holy Prophet) would ask, "Did he leave anything to pay off his debt?" If he was told that he had left something, he would offer (funeral) prayer for him. But if he was told that he had not left anything, he would say, "Offer prayer yourselves for your companion." But when Allah granted His Apostle (ﷺ) victory and enriched him with the spoils of war, he said, "I am more responsible (than anyone else) to pay the debt of a believer; so whoever leaves a debt, the responsibility to pay it is mine and he who leaves wealth, it is for his heirs."
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں جب کوئی آدمی مرجاتا اور اس پر قرض ہوتا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پوچھتے کیا اس نے اپنا قرض ادا کرنے کے لیے کچھ چھوڑا ہے؟ اگر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بتایا جاتا کہ اس نے کچھ چھوڑا ہے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھتے اور اگر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بتایا جاتا کہ اس نے کچھ نہیں چھوڑا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے تم اپنے ساتھی کی نماز جنازہ خود پڑھ لو لیکن جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو غنیمت کے مال سے غنی کر دیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا میں خود مسلمان کے قرض کی ادائیگی کا زیادہ ذمہ دار ہوں لہٰذا اب جو شخص قرض چھوڑ کر مرے گا تو اس کی ادائیگی میری ذمہ داری ہے اور جو مال چھوڑے گا وہ اس کے ورثاء کے لیے ہے۔
Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke zamane mein jab koi aadmi mar jata aur us par qarz hota to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam poochte kya usne apna qarz ada karne ke liye kuch chhoda hai? Agar aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko bataya jata ki usne kuch chhoda hai to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam us ki namaz janaza padhte aur agar aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko bataya jata ki usne kuch nahi chhoda to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam farmate tum apne sathi ki namaz janaza khud padh lo lekin jab Allah taala ne apne Rasul sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko ghanimat ke maal se ghani kar diya to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya main khud musalman ke qarz ki adaegi ka ziada zimmedar hun lihaza ab jo shakhs qarz chhod kar marega to us ki adaegi meri zimmedari hai aur jo maal chhodega wo uske waris ke liye hai.
Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would not offer the funeral prayer for a man who had died and upon whom there was a debt. A dead man was brought to him so he (ﷺ) said: "Is there a debt upon him?" They said: "Yes, two dinars."
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس شخص کی نماز جنازہ پڑھتے جس پر قرض ہو، ایک جنازہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لایا گیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا کہ اس پر قرض ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا جی ہاں دو دینار کا۔
Jaber bin Abdullah raziallahu anhuma kehte hain ki Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam us shakhs ki namaz janaza parhte jis par qarz ho, ek janaza aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke pass laya gaya to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne pucha ki is par qarz hai? Unhon ne kaha ji haan do dinar ka.
Aisha said: “By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not offer prayer over (the body of) Sahl ibn Bayda except in the mosque."
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں: « اللہ کی قسم، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سہل بن بیضاء کی نماز جنازہ مسجد کے علاوہ کہیں اور نہیں پڑھی۔ »
Ayesha razi Allahu anha kehti hain: Allah ki qasam, Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne Sahl bin Bida ki namaz-e-janaza masjid ke ilawa kahin aur nahin parhi.
Narrated 'Aisha: When Sa'd died, she said, "Bring him into the mosque so I may pray over him." That was deemed objectionable for her, whereupon she said, "By Allah, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prayed over Ibn Baida' in the mosque."
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ازواج مطہرات میں سے ایک حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ جب حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کا انتقال ہوا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ انہیں مسجد میں لے آؤ تاکہ میں ان پر نماز پڑھوں۔ لوگوں نے اس پر اعتراض کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ابن بیدا پر مسجد میں نماز پڑھی تھی۔
Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki azwaj e mutahhirat mein se ek Hazrat Ayesha razi Allah anha bayan karti hain ke jab Hazrat Saad razi Allah anhu ka inteqal hua to unhon ne kaha ke unhen masjid mein le aao taake mein un par namaz parhun. Logon ne is par aiteraaz kiya to unhon ne kaha ke Allah ki qasam! Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne Ibn e Baida par masjid mein namaz parhi thi.
Samurah reported: "I prayed behind the Prophet ﷺ over a woman who had died in childbirth. He stood over her in prayer, (positioned) in her middle."
حضرت سمرة رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک عورت پر نماز جنازہ پڑھی جو بچہ جننے کے دوران فوت ہو گئی تھی۔ آپ ﷺ اس پر (کھڑے ہو کر) اس کے درمیان میں کھڑے ہوئے۔
Hazrat Samra Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek aurat per namaz janaza parhi jo baccha janane ke doran fout ho gayi thi Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam uss per khare ho kar uske darmiyan mein khare hue
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led the funeral prayer of al-Najjashi on the day he died. He went out with the people to the Musalla (prayer place). He lined them up, and pronounced four Takbirs.
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نجاشی کی وفات والے دن ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم لوگوں کے ساتھ مصلیٰ میں تشریف لے گئے، انہیں صفیں بنوائیں اور چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu ne bayan kiya keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne Najashi ki wafat wale din un ki namaz janaza parhayi. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam logon ke sath musalla mein tashrif le gaye, unhen safein banwayen aur chaar takbiren kahin.
Ibn Abi Layla reported: Zayd ibn Arqam used to say "Allahu Akbar" four times over our funeral prayers, then he would say it a fifth time. We asked him about that, and he said, "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said it (or: said them)."
ابن ابی لیلیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ ہماری نماز جنازہ میں چار مرتبہ اللہ اکبر کہتے تھے پھر پانچویں مرتبہ کہتے تھے، ہم نے ان سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایسا ہی فرماتے تھے۔
Ibn e Abi Laila radi Allahu anhu se riwayat hai ki Zaid bin Arqam radi Allahu anhu hamari namaz e janaza mein chaar martaba Allahu Akbar kahte the phir panchwein martaba kahte the, hum ne un se is ke bare mein poocha to unhon ne kaha ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam aisa hi farmate the.
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say during the funeral prayer, “O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those present and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whomever you give life from among us, then give him life upon faith, and whomever you take death from among us, then take him in a state of Islam.”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جنازہ کی نماز میں یہ دعا مانگتے تھے: "اے اللہ! ہمارے زندوں کو بخش دے اور ہمارے مردوں کو، حاضرین کو بخش دے اور غائبین کو، چھوٹوں کو بخش دے اور بڑوں کو، مردوں کو بخش دے اور عورتوں کو۔ اے اللہ! ہم میں سے جسے تو زندگی دے تو اسے ایمان پر زندہ رکھنا اور ہم میں سے جسے موت دے تو اسے اسلام کی حالت میں فوت فرمانا"۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam janaze ki namaz mein yeh dua maangte thay: "Aye Allah! Hamare zindon ko bakhsh de aur hamare murdon ko, hazireen ko bakhsh de aur ghaibien ko, chhoton ko bakhsh de aur baron ko, mardon ko bakhsh de aur auraton ko. Aye Allah! Hum mein se jise tu zindagi de to usey imaan par zinda rakhna aur hum mein se jise maut de to usey Islam ki halat mein faut farmana".
Talha ibn Abdullah ibn Awf narrated that he prayed behind Ibn Abbas the funeral prayer and he recited Surat Al-Fatiha and made it loud until we heard it. And when he finished, I took his hand and asked him about that, so he said: “It is a Sunnah and the truth.”
طلحہ بن عبداللہ بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز جنازہ پڑھی تو انہوں نے سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھی اور اسے بلند آواز سے پڑھا یہاں تک کہ ہم نے سن لی۔ پھر جب وہ فارغ ہوئے تو میں نے ان کا ہاتھ لیا اور ان سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ سنت اور حق ہے۔
Talha bin Abdullah bin Auf razi Allah anhu bayan karte hain ke unhon ne Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhu ke peeche namaz janaza parhi to unhon ne Surah Fatiha parhi aur use buland aawaz se parhha yahan tak ke hum ne sun li Phir jab wo farigh hue to main ne un ka hath liya aur un se is ke bare mein poochha to unhon ne kaha ke yeh sunnat aur haq hai
Talha ibn Abdullah said: I witnessed Ibn Abbas praying over a funeral and he recited Surat al-Fatiha. When he finished, I said to him, “Do you recite Surat al-Fatiha?” He said, “Yes, O nephew, it is a Sunnah and the truth."
طلحہ بن عبداللہ نے کہا کہ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو جنازہ پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا تو انہوں نے سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھی۔ جب وہ فارغ ہوئے تو میں نے ان سے کہا کہ کیا آپ جنازہ میں سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھتے ہیں؟ تو انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں اے بھتیجے! یہ سنت اور حق ہے۔
Talha bin Abdullah ne kaha ki maine Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma ko janaza parhte huye dekha to unhon ne Surah Fatiha parhi. Jab wo farigh huye to maine unse kaha ki kya aap janaze mein Surah Fatiha parhte hain? To unhon ne farmaya haan ae bhateeje! Yeh sunnat aur haq hai.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ, when he prayed over a funeral, he would say: “O Allah, Your slave and the son of Your slave used to testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and that Muhammad is Your slave and Messenger, and You are more knowledgeable of him than I. If he was righteous, then increase his righteousness, and if he was evil, then forgive him. And do not deprive us of his reward and do not tempt us after him.”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب جنازہ پر نماز پڑھتے تو یہ دعا فرماتے: "اے اللہ! تیرا یہ بندہ اور تیرے بندے کا بیٹا (دنیا میں) گواہی دیتا رہا کہ تیرے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں اور یہ کہ محمد ﷺ تیرا بندہ اور تیرا رسول ہے، اور تو اسے مجھ سے زیادہ جانتا ہے۔ اگر یہ نیک تھا تو اس کی نیکیوں میں اضافہ فرما دے، اور اگر یہ بُرا تھا تو اسے معاف فرما دے۔ اور ہمیں اس کے اجر سے محروم نہ فرما اور ہمیں اس کے بعد فتنے میں نہ ڈال۔"
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam jab janazay par namaz parhte to yeh dua farmate: "Ae Allah! Tera yeh banda aur tere bande ka beta (duniya mein) gawahi deta raha keh tere siwa koi ibaadat ke layeq nahi aur yeh keh Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam tera banda aur tera rasool hai, aur tu use mujh se ziada janta hai. Agar yeh nek tha to is ki nekiyon mein izafa farma de, aur agar yeh bura tha to use maaf farma de. Aur hamein is ke ajr se mehroom na farma aur hamein is ke baad fitne mein na daal."
Wathilha bin Al-Asqa' reported: The Prophet ﷺ prayed over a man and said, "O Allah, [so and so, son of so and so] is under Your protection and the rope of Your security, so protect him from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the Fire. You are the Most Worthy of fulfilling trusts and the Most Truthful. O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, for You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.”
حضرت وثیلہ بن الاسقع رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور فرمایا: "اے اللہ! یہ (نام بتایا) فلاں کے بیٹے تیری پناہ اور تیری امان کی رسی کے سائے میں ہیں۔ پس تو اسے قبر کے فتنے اور آگ کے عذاب سے بچا لے۔ تو ہی امانتوں کو پورا کرنے والا اور سچا ہے۔ اے اللہ! اسے بخش دے اور اس پر رحم فرما، کیونکہ تو ہی بخشنے والا اور رحم کرنے والا ہے۔"
Hazrat Wasila bin Al-Asqa RA se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem SAW ne ek shakhs ki namaz-e-janaza parhayi aur farmaya: "Aye Allah! Yeh (naam bataya) falan ke bete teri panah aur teri amaan ki rassi ke saaye mein hain. Pas tu use qabar ke fitne aur aag ke azab se bacha le. Tu hi amanaton ko poora karne wala aur sacha hai. Aye Allah! Use bakhsh de aur us par reham farma, kyunki tu hi bakhshne wala aur reham karne wala hai."
Auwf ibn Malik al-Ashja’i said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed over a funeral, and I memorized from his supplication: “O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, and honor his reception. Expand his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, and purify him of his sins as a white garment is purified of filth. Exchange his home for a better home, his family for a better family, and his wife for a better wife. Admit him into Paradise, and protect him from the Fire and the punishment of the grave." Until I wished I was that deceased person.
حضرت عوف بن مالک اشجعی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک جنازے کی نماز پڑھائی تو میں نے آپ کی دعا سے یہ الفاظ یاد کر لیے: ”اے اللہ! اسے بخش دے، اس پر رحم فرما، اس کی خطاؤں سے درگزر فرما، اور اس کے ساتھ حسن سلوک فرما۔ اس کی قبر کو کشادہ فرما، اسے پانی، برف اور اولوں سے دھو، اور اس کے گناہوں کو اس طرح پاک فرما جس طرح سفید کپڑے کو میل سے پاک کیا جاتا ہے۔ اس کے گھر کو بہتر گھر سے، اس کے اہل و عیال کو بہتر اہل و عیال سے اور اس کی بیوی کو بہتر بیوی سے بدل دے۔ اسے جنت میں داخل فرما، اور اسے آگ اور قبر کے عذاب سے محفوظ فرما۔“ یہاں تک کہ میں نے تمنا کی کہ کاش میں ہی وہ میت ہوتا۔
Hazrat Auf bin Malik Ashja'i Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek janaze ki namaz padhayi to main ne aap ki dua se ye alfaz yaad kar liye: "Aye Allah! Ise bakhsh de, is par reham farma, is ki khataon se darguzar farma, aur is ke sath husn salook farma. Is ki qabar ko kushada farma, ise pani, barf aur aulon se dho, aur is ke gunahon ko is tarah pak farma jis tarah safaid kapre ko mail se pak kiya jata hai. Is ke ghar ko behtar ghar se, is ke ahle o ayaal ko behtar ahle o ayaal se aur is ki biwi ko behtar biwi se badal de. Ise Jannat mein dakhil farma, aur ise aag aur qabar ke azab se mahfooz farma." Yahan tak ki main ne tamanna ki ki kash main hi wo mayyat hota.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When you pray over the deceased, then be sincere in your supplication for him."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم کسی میت پر نماز پڑھو تو اس کے لیے دعا میں سچے دل سے دعا کیا کرو۔“
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum kisi mayyat par namaz parho to uske liye dua mein sache dil se dua kiya karo."
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet, may God's blessings and peace be upon him, said: "When you pray over the deceased, then make the supplication for him sincerely."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میت پر نماز پڑھو تو اس کے لیے دل سے دعا کرو"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mayyat par namaz parho to uske liye dil se dua karo"
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever attends the funeral prayer of a deceased person and prays over him, will get a reward of one Qirat. And whoever attends it till burial will get a reward of two Qirats.” It was asked, “O Messenger of Allah! What are two Qirats?” He ﷺ said, “Like two huge mountains.”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص کسی میت کی نماز جنازہ میں شریک ہو کر اس پر نماز پڑھے تو اسے ایک قیراط کا ثواب ملے گا اور جو اس کے دفن تک شریک رہے تو اسے دو قیراط کا ثواب ملے گا۔“ پوچھا گیا: ”اللہ کے رسول! دو قیراط کیا ہیں؟“ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”دو بڑے پہاڑوں کے برابر۔“
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi SAW ne farmaya: "Jo shaks kisi mayyat ki namaz janaza mein sharik hokar us par namaz parhe to use ek qirat ka sawab milega aur jo uske dafan tak sharik rahe to use do qirat ka sawab milega." Poocha gaya: "Allah ke Rasool! Do qirat kya hain?" Aap SAW ne farmaya: "Do bare paharon ke barabar."
Abu Saqr narrated to us that Yazid bin Abdullah Al-Qusayti told him that Dawood bin Amir bin Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas told him, from his father, that he was sitting with Ibn 'Umar when the owner of the room looked in and said, "O 'Abdullah bin 'Umar! Don't you hear what Abu Hurairah is saying? He heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'Whoever follows a funeral procession from its house and prays over it, then follows it until it is buried, there will be for him two Qirats, each Qirat like Uhud. And whoever returns from it after praying without following it, there will be for him one Qirat like Uhud.'"
ابو سقر نے ہمیں یزید بن عبداللہ قصیٹی سے روایت کی، انہوں نے ہمیں داوûد بن امیر بن سعد بن ابی وقاص سے روایت کی، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے روایت کی کہ وہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس بیٹھے تھے کہ اچانک گھر کے مالک نے اندر جھانکا اور کہا: اے عبداللہ بن عمر! کیا آپ نہیں سنتے کہ ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کیا کہہ رہے ہیں؟ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے: ’’جو کسی جنازے کے ساتھ اس کے گھر سے نکلے، اس پر نماز پڑھے اور دفن ہونے تک اس کے ساتھ رہے تو اس کے لیے دو قیراط کا ثواب ہے، ہر قیراط احد پہاڑ کے برابر، اور جو نماز پڑھ کر واپس آ گیا اور جنازے کے ساتھ نہ گیا تو اس کے لیے ایک قیراط کا ثواب ہے جو احد پہاڑ کے برابر ہے۔‘‘
Abu Saqr ne humain Yazid bin Abdullah Qasiti se riwayat ki, unhon ne humain Dawood bin Amir bin Sa'ad bin Abi Waqas se riwayat ki, unhon ne apne walid se riwayat ki ke woh Abdullah bin Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma ke pass baithe thay ke achanak ghar ke malik ne andar jhanka aur kaha: Aye Abdullah bin Umar! kya aap nahin sunte ke Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu kya keh rahe hain? Unhon ne Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko yeh farmate huye suna hai: ''Jo kisi janaze ke sath uske ghar se nikle, us par namaz padhe aur dafn hone tak uske sath rahe to uske liye do qirat ka sawab hai, har qirat Uhud pahar ke barabar, aur jo namaz padh kar wapas aa gaya aur janaze ke sath nah gaya to uske liye ek qirat ka sawab hai jo Uhud pahar ke barabar hai.''
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever follows a funeral procession of a Muslim out of faith and hoping for reward, and he prays over it and sits until it is buried, then he will return with two qirats of reward, each of which is like the size of Mount Uhud. Whoever prays over it and returns before it is buried, then he will return with one qirat.”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، ”جو شخص ایمان اور ثواب کی امید پر کسی مسلمان کی نماز جنازہ میں شریک ہو، اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھے اور اس وقت تک بیٹھا رہے، یہاں تک کہ اس کی تدفین کر دی جائے تو وہ دو قیراط ثواب لے کر واپس ہوگا، جن میں سے ہر ایک احد پہاڑ کے برابر ہوگا اور جو شخص اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھے اور دفن کرنے سے پہلے واپس چلا جائے تو وہ ایک قیراط لے کر واپس ہوگا۔ “
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya, “Jo shakhs imaan aur sawab ki umeed par kisi Musalman ki namaz-e-janaza mein sharik ho, uski namaz-e-janaza padhe aur us waqt tak baitha rahe, yahan tak ki uski tadfeen kar di jaye to woh do qirat sawab lekar wapas hoga, jin mein se har ek Uhud pahari ke barabar hoga aur jo shakhs uski namaz-e-janaza padhe aur dafan karne se pehle wapas chala jaye to woh ek qirat lekar wapas hoga.”
Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no one who dies and is prayed over by a group of Muslims reaching one hundred, all of whom intercede for him, but their intercession will be accepted."
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جو شخص فوت ہوتا ہے اور ایک سو مسلمان اس کے جنازے میں شریک ہوتے ہیں اور سب اس کے لیے مغفرت کی دعا کرتے ہیں تو ان کی سفارش قبول کی جاتی ہے"۔
Hazrat Ayesha radhi Allahu anha se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs foot hota hai aur ek sau Musalman us ke janaze mein sharik hote hain aur sab us ke liye maghfirat ki dua karte hain to un ki sifarish qubool ki jati hai".
Ibn Abbas narrated: A son of his died in Qudayd or in Usfan. He (Ibn 'Abbas) said, "O Kuraib! See how many people have gathered (for his funeral)." He (Kuraib) went out and saw that people had gathered, and he informed him (Ibn 'Abbas). Ibn 'Abbas said, "Are they forty?" He (Kuraib) replied, "Yes." Ibn 'Abbas said, "Take him (for burial), for I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'There is no Muslim who dies and forty men who associate nothing with Allah in worship stand for his funeral prayer, but Allah will grant them intercession for him.' "
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ان کا ایک بیٹا قدید یا عصفان میں فوت ہو گیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا: اے کریب! دیکھو تو کتنے لوگ (جنازہ کے لیے) جمع ہوئے ہیں؟ وہ باہر نکلے اور دیکھا کہ لوگ جمع ہو چکے ہیں تو انہوں نے ان کو بتایا تو ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کیا چالیس آدمی ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا جی ہاں، تو ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا اسے (دفن کے لیے) لے جاؤ کیونکہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جس مسلمان کی موت واقع ہو اور چالیس آدمی اس کے جنازے کی نماز پڑھیں جو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرتے ہوں تو اللہ ان کی شفاعت اس کے لیے قبول فرما لے گا ۔
Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki un ka aik beta Qaid ya Asfan mein فوت ho gaya to unhon ne farmaya: Aye Qareeb! Dekho to kitne log (janaze ke liye) jama huye hain? Woh bahar nikle aur dekha ki log jama ho chuke hain to unhon ne un ko bataya to Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma ne farmaya kya chalis aadmi hain? Unhon ne kaha ji haan, to Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma ne farmaya usay (dafan ke liye) le jao kyunki main ne Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko farmate huye suna hai ki jis musalman ki maut waqe ho aur chalis aadmi us ke janaze ki namaz parhein jo Allah ke sath kisi ko sharik na karte hon to Allah un ki shafa'at us ke liye qabool farma lega.
Narrated by Khaarijah ibn Zayd ibn Thaabit, from his paternal uncle Yazid ibn Thaabit, that the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed upon a grave of a woman and he said Takbir four times.
خارجہ بن زید بن ثابت اپنے چچا یزید بن ثابت سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک عورت کی قبر پر نماز پڑھی اور چار بار تکبیر کہی۔
Kharija bin Zaid bin Sabit apne chacha Yazid bin Sabit se riwayat karte hain ki Nabi Kareem SAW ne ek aurat ki qabar par namaz parhi aur chaar baar takbeer kahi.
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) "offered the funeral prayer over a grave after the person had been buried."
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک قبر پر نماز جنازہ پڑھی جبکہ میت کو دفن کیا جا چکا تھا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek qabar par namaz janaza parhi jabkay mayyat ko dafan kiya ja chuka tha.
Abu Hurairah narrated that: A man used to remove harmful things from the masjid. He died and the Prophet ﷺ missed him and asked, “What happened to so-and-so?” They replied, “He died”. He said, “Why did you not inform me?” It seems they thought lowly of him. He said to his companions, “Take me to his grave.” They went and he prayed for him. Then he said, “These graves are filled with darkness for their dwellers, and Allah illuminates them for them by my prayer.”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص مسجد سے تکلیف دہ چیزیں دور کرتا تھا۔ وہ مر گیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے یاد کیا اور پوچھا: ” فلاں شخص کا کیا ہوا؟” صحابہ کرام نے عرض کی، ” وہ فوت ہو گیا”۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ” تم نے مجھے کیوں نہ بتایا؟” ایسا لگتا ہے کہ صحابہ کرام اسے کم تر سمجھتے تھے۔ آپ ﷺ نے اپنے صحابہ کرام سے کہا: ” مجھے اس کی قبر پر لے چلو”۔ وہ گئے اور آپ ﷺ نے اس کے لیے دعا فرمائی۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ” یہ قبریں اپنے رہنے والوں کے لیے اندھیری ہوتی ہیں اور اللہ تعالیٰ میری دعا کی برکت سے ان کے لیے انہیں روشن کر دیتا ہے”۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki aik shakhs masjid se takleef deh cheezain door karta tha. Woh mar gaya to Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne use yaad kiya aur poocha: "Fulan shakhs ka kya hua?" Sahaba Kiraam ne arz ki, "Woh fout ho gaya". Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Tumne mujhe kyun nah bataya?" Aisa lagta hai ki Sahaba Kiraam use kam tar samajhte thay. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne apne Sahaba Kiraam se kaha: "Mujhe uski qabar par le chalo". Woh gaye aur Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne uske liye dua farmai. Phir Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Yeh qabrein apne rehne walon ke liye andheri hoti hain aur Allah Ta'ala meri dua ki barkat se unke liye unhein roshan kar deta hai".
Yazid bin Thabit said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and when we arrived at al-Baqi, he came to a grave. He asked about it and they said, "So-and-so." He recognized her and said, "Did you not inform me about her?" They said, "You were fasting." He said, "Do not do that. I will not know what has died among you unless you inform me, for my prayer over it is a mercy." Then he came to the grave and we lined up behind him, and he prayed four takbirs over it.
یَزِیدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ سے روایت ہے کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نکلے تو جب البقیع پہنچے تو آپ ایک قبر کے پاس تشریف لائے۔ تو آپ نے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو صحابہ نے عرض کیا کہ فلاں عورت ہے۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے پہچان لیا اور فرمایا کہ کیا تم نے مجھے اس کی اطلاع نہیں دی؟ صحابہ نے عرض کیا کہ آپ روزے سے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ایسا نہ کیا کرو۔ مجھے اس بات کا کیا علم کہ تمہارے ہاں کس کی وفات ہوئی ہے جب تک کہ تم مجھے اس کی خبر نہ دو کیونکہ میری نماز جنازہ اس کے لیے رحمت ہے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قبر کے پاس آئے اور ہم آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پیچھے صف بندی کر کے کھڑے ہو گئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
Yazid bin Sabit Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki hum Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath nikle to jab al-Baqi pahunche to Aap ek qabar ke pass tashreef laye. To Aap ne uske bare mein poocha to Sahaba ne arz kiya ki falan aurat hai. To Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne usey pahchan liya aur farmaya ki kya tumne mujhe iski ittila nahi di? Sahaba ne arz kiya ki Aap rozey se thay. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ki aisa na kiya karo. Mujhe is baat ka kya ilm ki tumhare han kiski wafat hui hai jab tak ki tum mujhe iski khabar na do kyunki meri namaz janaza uske liye rehmat hai. Phir Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam qabar ke pass aaye aur hum Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke peeche saf bandi kar ke khade ho gaye aur Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us par chaar takbirein kaheen.
Someone told me that he prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at a grave which was far away, so he (the Prophet) lined them up behind him. I said, “Who told you?” He said, “Ibn Abbas.”
مجھے ایک شخص نے بتایا کہ اس نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ ایک قبر پر نماز پڑھی جو کہ بہت دور تھی، تو آپ ﷺ نے انہیں اپنے پیچھے صف میں کھڑا کر لیا۔ میں نے کہا: "تمہیں کس نے بتایا؟" اس نے کہا: "ابن عباس"۔
Mujhe aik shakhs ne bataya ke usne Rasul Allah SAW ke sath aik qabar par namaz parha jo ke bahut door thi, to aap SAW ne unhen apne peeche saf mein khara kar liya. Maine kaha: "Tumhen kisne bataya?" Usne kaha: "Ibn Abbas".
Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet ﷺ went to an abandoned grave and prayed over it, and we prayed with him.
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک اجاڑ قبر پر تشریف لے گئے اور اس پر نماز پڑھی اور ہم نے آپ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhuma se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ek ujar qabar par tashreef le gaye aur us par namaz parhi aur hum ne aap ke sath namaz parhi.
Ibn Abbas narrated, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came upon an abandoned grave and offered a prayer for (the deceased in) it, and we prayed along with him."
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک قبر کے پاس سے گزرے جو کہ معمور نہ تھی، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر نماز پڑھی، اور ہم نے بھی آپ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔
Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma kehte hain ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam aik qabar ke paas se guzre jo ke mamur na thi, to Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us par namaz parhi, aur hum ne bhi Aap ke sath namaz parhi.
Ibn Abbas narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) offered the funeral prayer over the grave of a man after he had been buried at night. He (the Prophet) stood with his Companions, and he had already inquired about him (the deceased). They (the Companions) said: "So-and-so was buried yesterday, so please offer the funeral prayer for him."
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کی قبر پر رات کے وقت نماز جنازہ پڑھائی جبکہ وہ دفن ہو چکا تھا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے اصحاب کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پہلے ہی اس (میّت) کے بارے میں دریافت کر لیا تھا۔ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: "فلاں شخص کو کل دفن کیا گیا تھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کے لیے نماز جنازہ پڑھا دیں"۔
Ibn Abbas raziallahu anhuma se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne ek shakhs ki qabar par raat ke waqt namaz janaza parhai jabkeh woh dafn ho chuka tha aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam apne ashaab ke sath khare hue aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne pehle hi is (mayyit) ke bare mein daryaft kar liya tha Sahaba ne arz kiya: "Falan shakhs ko kal dafn kiya gaya tha to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam is ke liye namaz janaza parha dein"
Yazid bin Thabit said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to al-Baqi'. He saw a fresh grave, so we lined up behind him and he said takbir four times.
یزید بن ثابت بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہمراہ البقیع گئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک تازہ قبر دیکھی، ہم آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پیچھے صف باندھ کر کھڑے ہو گئے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
Yazid bin Sabit bayan karte hain ki hum Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke hamrah al-Baqi'a gaye to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne ek taaza qabar dekhi, hum aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke peechhe saf bandh kar khare ho gaye aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne chaar takbiren kahin.
Jabir ibn Samurah reported: A man had a wound. He came to a blacksmith and took a pair of tongs and cut his wrist with them. He died, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not pray the funeral prayer for him.
جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص کے ہاں زخم آیا تو وہ لوہار کے پاس آیا اور ایک سنسی لے کر اس سے اپنی کلائی پر کاٹ لیا اور مر گیا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کی نماز جنازہ نہیں پڑھی۔
Jibir bin Samrah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki ek shakhs ke han zakhm aaya to wo lohar ke paas aaya aur ek sansi lekar us se apni kalai par kaat liya aur mar gaya to Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne us ki namaz janaza nahi parhi.
Jabir reported: A man from the Ansar came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and confessed to fornication. He (the Prophet) turned away from him until he testified against himself four times. So the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "Are you mad?" He said, "No."
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک انصاری شخص نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور زنا کا اعتراف کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے منہ پھیر لیا یہاں تک کہ اس نے چار بار گواہی دی، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے پوچھا کیا تم پاگل ہو؟ اس نے کہا نہیں۔
Jaber Raziallahu Anhu bayan karte hain keh ek Ansaari shakhs Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas aaya aur zina ka ikraar kiya to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us se munh pher liya yahan tak keh us ne chaar baar gawahi di to aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us se poocha kya tum pagal ho? us ne kaha nahin.

حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص کے ایک زخم تھا تو وہ ایک لوہار کے پاس آیا اور ایک سنسی لی اور اس سے اپنی کلائی کاٹ لی تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کی نماز جنازہ نہیں پڑھائی۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Samra razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki ek shakhs ke ek zakhm tha to woh ek luhar ke pass aaya aur ek sansi li aur us se apni kalai kaat li to Nabi Akram sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne uski namaz janaza nahi parhaayi.
Abu Dawud said: I heard Shu'ba say: "The Hour will come..." He said: We were told by Abu Zubair, from Jabir, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) [said:]
ابو داؤد نے کہا: میں نے شعبہ کو کہتے ہوئے سنا: ”قیامت قائم ہو گی...“ انہوں نے کہا: ہمیں ابوزبیر نے جابر سے بیان کیا، کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا:
Abu Dawood ne kaha: mein ne Sha'bah ko kahte huye suna: ”Qayamat qaim ho gi...“ unhon ne kaha: hamen Abu Zubair ne Jabir se bayan kya, keh Nabi ﷺ ne farmaya:
Jabir narrated that: The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed over al-Najashi when the news of his death reached him, and I was in the second row.
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے نجاشی کی وفات کی خبر سن کر ان کی غائب نمازِ جنازہ پڑھی اور میں دوسری صف میں تھا۔
Jibir Radi Allahu Anhu bayan karte hain ki Nabi SAW ne Najashi ki wafat ki khabar sun kar un ki ghaib namaz-e-janaza parhi aur mein dusri saf mein tha.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led the funeral prayer of Najashi on the day he died. He went out to the Musalla (prayer place), aligned the people in rows, and pronounced four Takbirs.
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نجاشی کی وفات والے دن ان کی غائب نمازِ جنازہ پڑھائی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مصلیٰ کی طرف تشریف لے گئے اور لوگوں کو صفیں بنا کر کھڑا کیا اور چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu riwayat karte hain keh Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne Najashi ki wafat wale din un ki ghaib namaze janaza parhai. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam musalla ki taraf tashreef le gaye aur logon ko safein bana kar khara kiya aur chaar takbeerein kaheen.
Jabir narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Your brother has died, so stand up and pray the funeral prayer for him." He said, "So we lined up in two rows behind him."
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ”تمہارے بھائی کا انتقال ہوگیا ہے، اٹھو اور اس کا جنازہ پڑھو“ ۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم آپ ﷺ کے پیچھے دو صفیں بنا کر کھڑے ہو گئے۔
Jaber razi Allah unhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya tumhare bhai ka intiqal ho gaya hai utho aur us ka janaza parha lo Ravi kehte hain ke hum aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke peeche do safein bana kar khare ho gaye
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) "offered the funeral prayer for the Negus (ruler of Abyssinia), and pronounced four Takbirs over him."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نجاشی (حکمران حبشہ) کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور ان پر چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne Najashi hukmran Habsha ki namaz janaza parhayi aur un per chaar takbirein kaheen.
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did the funeral prayer for Najashi on the day he died and said, "Ask forgiveness for your brother." Then, he went out to the Musalla with the people and they lined up behind him and he performed four Takbirs.
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نجاشی کی وفات کے دن ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھی اور فرمایا: ”اپنے بھائی کے لیے مغفرت کی دعا کرو۔“ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم لوگوں کے ساتھ مصلیٰ میں نکلے اور لوگ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اقتدا میں صف بندی کی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چار تکبیریں کہیں۔
Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne Najashi ki wafat ke din unki namaz janaza parhi aur farmaya: "Apne bhai ke liye maghfirat ki dua karo." Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam logon ke sath musalla mein nikle aur log aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki iqtida mein saff bandi ki aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne chaar takbiren kahin.
Abu Qilaba, on the authority of his uncle, on the authority of Imran ibn Husain, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) announced to us, "Your brother, the Negus, has passed away, so stand up and offer the funeral prayer for him." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then stood up, and they lined up behind him. He performed four Takbirs (Allahu Akbar), and they thought that the Negus's body was there in front of them.
ابو قلابہ اپنے چچا سے روایت کرتے ہیں، انہوں نے عمران بن حسین سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں اعلان کیا، "تمہارا بھائی، نجاشی، وفات پا گیا ہے، لہذا کھڑے ہو جاؤ اور اس کے لیے جنازہ پڑھو۔" پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے، اور وہ آپ کے پیچھے صف بستہ ہوگئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چار تکبیریں کہیں، اور لوگوں نے گمان کیا کہ نجاشی کی میت ان کے سامنے ہے۔
Abu Qalaaba apne chacha se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne Imran bin Husain se riwayat ki, unhon ne kaha ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne hamen elaan kya, "Tumhara bhai, Najashi, wafaat pa gaya hai, lihaza kharay ho jao aur us ke liye janaza parho." Phir Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam kharay hue, aur wo aap ke peeche saf basta hogaye. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne chaar takbirein kahin, aur logon ne gumaan kya ki Najashi ki mayyat un ke samne hai.
