Aishah narrated: When the Prophet (ﷺ) arrived from a journey, I had a thin cloth curtain with pictures on it and I had put it over (the door of) my room. He took it, drew it towards him and said: "Do you screen the wall?" I then used it as a cushion, and I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) reclining on them.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سفر سے واپس تشریف لائے تو میرے کمرے کے دروازے پر ایک پتلی چادر لگی ہوئی تھی جس پر تصویریں بنی ہوئی تھیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے پکڑا، اپنی طرف کھینچا اور فرمایا: "کیا تم دیوار کو چھپاتی ہو؟" پھر میں نے اسے بطور گدی استعمال کیا اور میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس پر ٹیک لگائے ہوئے دیکھا۔
Hazrat Aisha Radi Allahu Anha bayan karti hain ke ek martaba Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam safar se wapas tashreef laaye to mere kamre ke darwaze par ek patli chadar lagi hui thi jis par tasvirein bani hui thi. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne use pakda, apni taraf khencha aur farmaya: "kya tum deewar ko chupati ho?" phir maine use ba-taur gaddi istemaal kya aur maine Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko us par tek lagaye hue dekha.
Abu Zubair narrated that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say that the Prophet ﷺ forbade whistling in the house.
حضرت ابوزبیر بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے گھر میں سیٹی بجانے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔
Hazrat Abuzubair bayan karte hain ke unhon ne Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah Radi Allahu Anhu se suna ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ghar mein sitti bajane se mana farmaya hai.
Narrated Aisha: That she bought a cushion having pictures on it. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saw it, he stood at the door and did not enter. I noticed the sign of displeasure on his face and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I repent to Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ). What sin have I committed?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "What is this cushion?" I said, "I have bought it for you, so that you may sit on it and recline on it." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The makers of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, 'Make alive what you have created.' " The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "Angels of mercy do not enter a house in which there are pictures."
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے ایک ایسا تکیہ خریدا جس پر تصاویر بنی ہوئی تھیں۔ جب اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے دیکھا تو آپ دروازے پر ہی کھڑے رہے اور اندر تشریف نہ لائے۔ میں نے آپ کے چہرے پر ناگواری کے آثار دیکھے اور عرض کی: "اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! میں اللہ اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے توبہ کرتی ہوں۔ میں نے کیا گناہ کیا ہے؟" اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "یہ تکیہ کیا ہے؟" میں نے عرض کیا: "میں نے یہ آپ کے لیے خریدا ہے تاکہ آپ اس پر بیٹھیں اور اس پر ٹیک لگائیں۔" اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "ان تصاویر بنانے والوں کو قیامت کے دن عذاب دیا جائے گا اور ان سے کہا جائے گا: 'جسے تم نے بنایا ہے اسے زندہ کرو۔" پھر نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "رحمت کے فرشتے اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں تصاویر ہوں۔"
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha se riwayat hai ki unhon ne ek aisa takiya khareeda jis par tasaveer bani hui thin. Jab Allah ke Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne usay dekha to aap darwaze par hi khare rahe aur andar tashreef na laaye. Mein ne aap ke chehre par nagawari ke asar dekhe aur arz ki: "Allah ke Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam! Mein Allah aur us ke Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se tauba karti hun. Mein ne kya gunah kiya hai?" Allah ke Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Yeh takiya kya hai?" Mein ne arz kiya: "Mein ne yeh aap ke liye khareeda hai taake aap is par baithen aur is par teek lagayen." Allah ke Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "In tasaveer banane walon ko qayamat ke din azab diya jayega aur un se kaha jayega: 'Jise tum ne banaya hai usay zinda karo." Phir Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Rehmat ke farishte us ghar mein dakhil nahin hote jis mein tasaveer hon."
Ibn Abbas said: A man came to him and said: I have made these pictures. He said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah will punish the picture-makers for their making of pictures." He said: So the man went away and claimed that he had dependents. Ibn Abbas said: "Do not depict anything that has a soul."
ابن عباس نے کہا: ایک شخص ان کے پاس آیا اور کہا: میں نے یہ تصویریں بنائی ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا: نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا، "اللہ تعالیٰ تصویر بنانے والوں کو ان کی بنائی ہوئی تصویروں کی وجہ سے عذاب دے گا۔" ابن عباس کہتے ہیں کہ وہ شخص چلا گیا اور یہ کہنے لگا کہ میرے ذمہ دار ہیں۔ ابن عباس نے کہا: "کسی بھی ایسی چیز کی تصویر مت بناؤ جس میں جان ہو۔"
Ibn Abbas ne kaha: Ek shakhs unke pas aaya aur kaha: Maine ye tasveerein banaee hain. Unhon ne kaha: Nabi ne farmaya, "Allah Ta'ala tasveer banane walon ko unki banaee hui tasveeron ki wajah se azab dega." Ibn Abbas kahte hain ki woh shakhs chala gaya aur yeh kahne laga ki mere zimmedar hain. Ibn Abbas ne kaha: "Kisi bhi aisi cheez ki tasveer mat banao jismein jaan ho."
Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon me while I was covering myself with a curtain containing images. The face of the Messenger of Allah changed color and he seized the curtain, tearing it with his hand. Then, he said, “Verily, among the most severely punished of people on the Day of Resurrection will be those who imitate the creation of Allah.”
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن میرے پاس تشریف لائے تو میں ایک ایسے کپڑے سے اپنا حجاب کیے ہوئے تھی جس پر تصویریں بنی ہوئی تھیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا چہرہ مبارک غصے سے سرخ ہو گیا اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وہ کپڑا کھینچ کر اپنے ہاتھوں سے پھاڑ دیا اور فرمایا: ”قیامت کے دن اللہ کی خلقت کی مشابہت اختیار کرنے والوں کو سخت ترین عذاب دیا جائے گا۔“
Ayesha raza Allah tala anha se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ek din mere pass tashreef laye to main ek aise kapre se apna hijab kiye hue thi jis par tasveerein bani hui thi. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ka chehra mubarak ghusse se surkh ho gaya aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne woh kapra khench kar apne hathon se phaar diya aur farmaya: ”Qayamat ke din Allah ki khalqat ki mushabahat ikhtiyar karne walon ko sakht tareen azab diya jayega."
Sa'eed ibn Abi'l-Hasan said: I was with Ibn 'Abbas when a man came to him and said: "I am a man who earns his living from these pictures." Ibn 'Abbas said: "I heard Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Whoever makes an image, Allah will punish him until he breathes life into it, and he will never be able to breathe life into it.'" The man's face turned pale and (Ibn 'Abbas) said: "If you must do something, then make it of trees and things that do not have a soul."
سعید بن ابی الحسن نے کہا: میں ابن عباس کے ساتھ تھا کہ ایک آدمی ان کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا: "میں ایسا آدمی ہوں جو ان تصویروں سے اپنا گزر بسر کرتا ہوں۔" ابن عباس نے کہا: "میں نے محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے: 'جو کوئی تصویر بناتا ہے، اللہ اسے اس وقت تک عذاب دیتا رہے گا جب تک وہ اس میں جان نہ ڈال دے، اور وہ کبھی بھی اس میں جان نہیں ڈال سکے گا۔" اس شخص کا چہرہ پیلا پڑ گیا اور (ابن عباس) نے کہا: "اگر تمہیں ضرور کچھ کرنا ہے تو اسے درختوں اور ایسی چیزوں سے بناؤ جن میں روح نہ ہو۔"
Saeed bin Abi al-Hasan ne kaha: main Ibn Abbas ke sath tha ke ek aadmi un ke pas aaya aur kahne laga: "main aisa aadmi hoon jo in tasveeron se apna guzar basar karta hoon." Ibn Abbas ne kaha: "maine Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam ko kahte huye suna hai: 'jo koi tasveer banata hai, Allah use us waqt tak azab deta rahega jab tak woh usme jaan na daal de, aur woh kabhi bhi usme jaan nahin daal sakega." us shakhs ka chehra peela pad gaya aur (Ibn Abbas) ne kaha: "agar tumhein zaroor kuchh karna hai to use darakhton aur aisi cheezon se banao jin mein rooh na ho.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Verily, the angels do not enter a house in which there are idols or images."
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "فرشتے اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں مورتیں یا تصاویر ہوں۔"
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, "Farishtey us ghar mein dakhil nahi hote jis mein moortien ya tasaveer hon."
Zayd ibn Khalid narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Angels do not enter a house in which there is an image." Busr said: Then he (the narrator) fell sick and we visited him, and there was a curtain on his door on which there was an image. So I said to 'Ubaydullah Al-Khaulani: "Did he not narrate to us and (yet) he keeps the cloth?" 'Ubaydullah said: "Did you not hear him say: 'Except a design on a cloth?'"
زید بن خالد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس گھر میں تصویر ہوتی ہے اس میں فرشتے داخل نہیں ہوتے۔“ بسر کہتے ہیں کہ پھر وہ (راوی) بیمار ہوگئے اور ہم ان کی عیادت کو گئے تو ان کے دروازے پر ایک پردہ تھا جس پر تصویر بنی ہوئی تھی۔ میں نے عبید اللہ خولانی سے کہا: ”کیا انہوں نے ہمیں یہ حدیث نہیں سنائی تھی اور (پھر بھی) وہ یہ کپڑا رکھے ہوئے ہیں؟“ عبید اللہ نے کہا: ”کیا تم نے انہیں یہ کہتے ہوئے نہیں سنا کہ: ’سوائے کپڑے پر بنے ہوئے نقش کے‘؟“
Zaid bin Khalid Razi Allah Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: “Jis ghar mein tasveer hoti hai us mein farishtay dakhil nahi hote.” Basar kahte hain ki phir woh (rawi) bimar hogaye aur hum un ki ayadat ko gaye to un ke darwaze par ek parda tha jis par tasveer bani hui thi. Maine Ubaid Ullah Kholani se kaha: “Kya unhon ne humain yeh hadees nahi sunaee thi aur (phir bhi) woh yeh kapda rakhe huye hain?” Ubaid Ullah ne kaha: “Kya tum ne unhen yeh kahte huye nahi suna ki: ’Siwaye kapde par banay huye naqsh ke’?”
Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn Utba reported: He visited Abu Talha al-Ansari who was ill. He found Sahl ibn Hunaif there too. Abu Talha called for someone who removed a cloth which was under him. Sahl asked: Why are you removing it? Abu Talha replied: It has pictures on it. The Messenger of Allah said what you know. Sahl said: Did he not say, “Except what is woven in cloth?" He replied: Yes, but it is better for my soul.
عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ابو طلحہ انصاری کی عیادت کے لیے گئے جو بیمار تھے۔ انہوں نے وہاں سہل بن حنیف کو بھی پایا۔ ابو طلحہ نے کسی کو بلایا جس نے ان کے نیچے سے ایک کپڑا ہٹایا۔ سہل نے پوچھا: آپ اسے کیوں ہٹا رہے ہیں؟ ابو طلحہ نے جواب دیا: اس پر تصویریں ہیں۔ اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وہی فرمایا ہے جو تم جانتے ہو۔ سہل نے کہا: کیا انہوں نے یہ نہیں فرمایا، "سوائے اس کے جو کپڑے میں بنا ہو؟" انہوں نے جواب دیا: ہاں، لیکن یہ میرے نفس کے لیے بہتر ہے۔
Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah bayan karte hain ke woh Abu Talha Ansari ki aiadat ke liye gaye jo bimar thay. Unhon ne wahan Sahl bin Hanif ko bhi paya. Abu Talha ne kisi ko bulaya jis ne un ke neeche se ek kapda hataya. Sahl ne poocha: Aap ise kyun hata rahe hain? Abu Talha ne jawab diya: Is par tasveerein hain. Allah ke Rasool sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne wohi farmaya hai jo tum jante ho. Sahl ne kaha: Kya unhon ne yeh nahin farmaya, "Siwaye is ke jo kapde mein bana ho?" Unhon ne jawab diya: Haan, lekin yeh mere nafs ke liye behtar hai.
`Aun bin Abi Juhayfah said: I saw Abu Jahl buy a cupper, and when he brought his cupping instruments, they were broken. So I asked him about it, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the price of blood, the price of a dog, earnings from prostitution, and he cursed the woman who does tattoos and the one who gets them, the one who consumes riba and the one who pays it, and he cursed the one who makes images.
عون بن ابی جحیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابو جہل کو ایک حجام سے کھلوانے کا سودا کرتے ہوئے دیکھا، پھر جب حجام اپنی مشرطیاں لے کر آیا تو وہ ٹوٹی ہوئی تھیں، میں نے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو اس نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خون کی قیمت، کتے کی قیمت، زنا کی کمائی حرام قرار دی ہے، اور آپ نے گودنے والی اور گدوانے والی، سود کھانے والے اور سود دینے والے پر لعنت فرمائی ہے، اور آپ نے تصویر بنانے والے پر بھی لعنت فرمائی ہے۔
Aun bin Abi Juhaifa RA kehte hain ke maine Abu Jahl ko ek hajam se khilwane ka soda karte hue dekha, phir jab hajam apni mashartiyan le kar aaya to wo tooti hui thin, maine iske baare mein poocha to usne kaha ke Rasul Allah SAW ne khoon ki qeemat, kutte ki qeemat, zina ki kamai haram qarar di hai, aur aap ne godne wali aur gudwane wali, sud khane wale aur sud dene wale par lanat farmai hai, aur aap ne tasveer banane wale par bhi lanat farmai hai.
Abu Hurairah narrated that: Gabriel, peace be upon him, came to the Prophet ﷺ while there was a curtain with pictures in the house of Allah's Prophet ﷺ. Allah's Prophet ﷺ said, “Enter.” He said, “We do not enter a house in which there are pictures. So, if you are going to have it in your house, then cut off their heads, or cut them and make them rugs.”
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت جبریل علیہ السلام رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آئے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ کے گھر میں ایک پردہ تھا جس میں تصویریں بنی ہوئی تھیں۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ اندر تشریف لائیے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں تصویریں ہوں۔ اگر آپ اسے اپنے گھر میں رکھنے کا ارادہ رکھتے ہیں تو ان کے سر کاٹ دیں یا انہیں کاٹ کر چٹائیاں بنا لیں۔
Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Hazrat Jibraeel alaihissalam Rasul Allah ﷺ ke paas aaye to Rasul Allah ﷺ ke ghar mein ek parde tha jis mein tasveerein bani hui thi. Rasul Allah ﷺ ne farmaya keh andar tashreef laayein. Unhon ne kaha keh hum iss ghar mein dakhil nahi hote jis mein tasveerein hon. Agar aap ise apne ghar mein rakhne ka irada rakhte hain to in ke sar kaat dein ya inhen kaat kar chataiyan bana lein.
Mujaahid reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Gabriel came to me and said, 'I came to you yesterday and nothing prevented me from entering the house you were in except that there was a statue of a man in the house, and there was a curtain in the house with images on it, and there was a dog in the house.' He ordered that the head of the statue be cut off and it was done, and he ordered that the curtain with the images on it be cut up, so it was cut up and made into two cushions. He ordered that the dog be taken out and it was a puppy belonging to al-Hasan and al-Husayn under a small table belonging to them. Then Gabriel came to me and did not cease to recommend good treatment of neighbors until I thought that he would make them heirs."
مجاهد رضی اللہ عنہ ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ مجھ سے جبریل علیہ السلام تشریف لائے اور کہنے لگے کہ میں کل آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تھا لیکن مجھے آپ کے گھر میں داخل ہونے سے اس کے سوا کسی چیز نے نہ روکا کہ اس میں ایک مرد کی مورتی تھی اور ایک پردہ تھا جس پر تصویریں تھیں اور ایک کتا تھا۔ انہوں نے حکم دیا کہ مورتی کا سر کاٹ دیا جائے تو وہ کاٹ دیا گیا اور حکم دیا کہ پردے کو جس پر تصویریں ہیں کاٹ کر پھاڑ دیا جائے تو اسے کاٹ کر دو گدے بنا لیے گئے اور حکم دیا کہ کتے کو نکال باہر کیا جائے وہ حسن اور حسین رضی اللہ عنہما کا ایک پالتو کتا تھا جو ان کی ایک چھوٹی سی میز کے نیچے تھا۔ پھر جبریل علیہ السلام میرے پاس آئے اور مجھے پڑوسیوں کے ساتھ اچھا سلوک کرنے کی تلقین کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ میں نے سوچا کہ وہ انہیں (یعنی پڑوسیوں کو) وارث بنانے کا حکم دیں گے۔
Mujaahid razi Allahu anhu Abu Hurairah razi Allahu anhu se riwayat karte hain keh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya keh mujh se Jibrail alaihis salam tashreef laaye aur kahne lage keh main kal aap ki khidmat mein hazir hua tha lekin mujhe aap ke ghar mein dakhil hone se is ke siwa kisi cheez ne na roka keh is mein ek mard ki moorti thi aur ek parda tha jis par tasveerein thin aur ek kutta tha. Unhon ne hukm diya keh moorti ka sir kaat diya jaye to woh kaat diya gaya aur hukm diya keh parde ko jis par tasveerein hain kaat kar phaar diya jaye to use kaat kar do gade bana liye gaye aur hukm diya keh kutte ko nikal bahar kiya jaye woh Hasan aur Hussain razi Allahu anhuma ka ek paltu kutta tha jo un ki ek chhoti si mez ke neeche tha. Phir Jibrail alaihis salam mere paas aaye aur mujhe padosiyon ke sath achcha suluk karne ki taleeqin karte rahe yahan tak keh maine socha keh woh unhen (yani padosiyon ko) waris banane ka hukm denge.
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture."
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس گھر میں کتا یا تصویر ہو اس میں فرشتے داخل نہیں ہوتے۔“
Hazrat Ibn Abbas razi Allahu anhuma se riwayat hai ki Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jis ghar mein kutta ya tasveer ho uss mein farishte dakhil nahin hote."
Ibn Abbas narrated that Allah's messenger woke up one morning with a frown on his face. Maymunah (his wife) said, "Messenger of Allah, I noticed that you have been frowning since this morning." The Messenger of Allah said, "Gabriel promised me that he would meet me last night but he didn't. By Allah, he has never broken a promise before." The Messenger of Allah remained out of sorts until midday. Then he noticed a puppy under his bed. He ordered it to be removed. Then he took some water in his hand and sprinkled it where the puppy had been. When evening came, Gabriel met him. The Prophet said, "You promised to meet me last night?" Gabriel replied, "Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image."
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن صبح کے وقت نکلے، آپ کے چہرے پر غصہ تھا۔ ام المومنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں صبح سے آپ کے چہرہ انور پر غصہ کے آثار دیکھ رہی ہوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مجھ سے جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے وعدہ کیا تھا کہ وہ رات کو میرے پاس آئیں گے، لیکن وہ نہیں آئے، اللہ کی قسم! انہوں نے کبھی وعدہ خلافی نہیں کی۔ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دوپہر تک اسی کیفیت میں رہے یہاں تک کہ آپ نے اپنے پلنگ کے نیچے ایک کتے کا بچہ دیکھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے نکالنے کا حکم دیا، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پانی منگوایا اور اس جگہ چھڑکا اور جب شام ہوئی تو جبرائیل علیہ السلام تشریف لائے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم نے مجھ سے وعدہ کیا تھا کہ تم گزشتہ رات میرے پاس آؤ گے؟ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا: جی ہاں! لیکن ہم اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں کتا یا تصویر ہو۔
Ibn Abbas razi Allah unhuma kehte hain ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ek din subah ke waqt nikle, aap ke chehre par gussa tha. Ummulmomineen Maimunah razi Allah anha ne kaha: Allah ke Rasul! main subah se aap ke chehra anwar par gussa ke asar dekh rahi hun? Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: mujh se Jibraeel alaihissalam ne waada kiya tha ki woh raat ko mere pass aayenge, lekin woh nahi aaye, Allah ki qasam! unhon ne kabhi waada khilafi nahi ki. Aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam dopahar tak isi kefiyat mein rahe yahan tak ki aap ne apne palang ke neeche ek kutte ka bachcha dekha to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne usse nikalne ka hukm diya, phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne pani mangwaya aur us jagah chhirka aur jab sham hui to Jibraeel alaihissalam tashreef laaye to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: tum ne mujh se waada kiya tha ki tum guzishta raat mere pass aaoge? Jibraeel alaihissalam ne kaha: ji haan! lekin hum us ghar mein dakhil nahi hote jis mein kutta ya tasveer ho.
Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that: The Prophet ﷺ ordered Umar ibn al-Khattab, while he was at al-Batha' at the time of the conquest of Makkah, to go to the Ka'bah and erase all the images in it. The Prophet ﷺ did not enter it until every image in it had been erased.
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ نے حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کو فتح مکہ کے موقع پر جب وہ مقام بطن میں تھے، حکم دیا کہ وہ کعبہ میں جا کر اس میں موجود تمام تصاویر کو مٹا دیں۔ نبی کریم ﷺ اس وقت تک کعبہ میں داخل نہیں ہوئے جب تک کہ اس میں موجود ہر تصویر کو مٹا نہ دیا گیا۔
Jaber bin Abdullah razi Allah anhuma bayan karte hain ki Nabi SAW ne Hazrat Umar bin Khattab razi Allah anhu ko fatah Makkah ke mauqe par jab woh maqaam batn mein thay, hukum diya ki woh Kaaba mein ja kar us mein mojood tamam tasaveer ko mita dein. Nabi Kareem SAW us waqt tak Kaaba mein dakhil nahin huye jab tak ki us mein mojood har tasveer ko mita na diya gaya.
Amru bin al-Harith narrated that Bukayr narrated to him, from Kurayb, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, from Ibn Abbas: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he entered the Ka'bah, he found therein a picture of Ibrahim and a picture of Maryam. He said, "Why do they not leave alone what they have already been reprimanded for? Haven't they heard that the angels do not enter a house in which there is an image? This is Ibrahim, throwing arrows (for divination). Why does he not use stones instead?"
عمرو بن حارث نے بیان کیا کہ بخیر نے انہیں کُرَیب، ابن عباس کے آزاد کردہ غلام، سے روایت کی، انہوں نے ابن عباس سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب کعبہ میں داخل ہوئے تو آپ کو اس میں ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی تصویر اور مریم علیہا السلام کی تصویر نظر آئی۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "یہ لوگ اس چیز کو کیوں نہیں چھوڑ دیتے جس پر انہیں پہلے ہی سرزنش کی جا چکی ہے؟ کیا انہوں نے نہیں سنا کہ فرشتے اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں تصویر ہو؟ یہ ابراہیم علیہ السلام ہیں، (فال نکالنے کے لیے) تیروں کو پھینک رہے ہیں۔ وہ پتھروں کو کیوں استعمال نہیں کرتے؟"
Amr bin Haris ne bayan kya keh Bukhair ne unhen Kuraib, Ibn Abbas ke azad kardah ghulam, se riwayat ki, unhon ne Ibn Abbas se riwayat ki keh Rasul Allah ﷺ jab Kabah mein dakhil huye to aap ko is mein Ibrahim Alaihissalam ki tasveer aur Maryam Alaihissalam ki tasveer nazar aai. Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Yeh log is cheez ko kyun nahin chhor dete jis par unhen pehle hi sarzanish ki ja chuki hai? Kya unhon ne nahin suna keh farishte is ghar mein dakhil nahin hote jis mein tasveer ho? Yeh Ibrahim Alaihissalam hain, (fal nikalne ke liye) teeron ko phenk rahe hain. Woh pathron ko kyun istemal nahin karte?"
Abu Zur’a reported: We entered upon Sa’id or Mu’awiya and he had an artist with him who was painting images on the wall. He said, “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, ‘Allah Almighty has said, “Who is more unjust than he who tries to create as I create? Let them create an atom or let them create a grain.”’”
ابو زرعہ نے بیان کیا: ہم سعید یا معاویہ کے پاس گئے تو ان کے پاس ایک مصور تھا جو دیوار پر تصویریں بنا رہا تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: ”اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہے جو میری تخلیق کی طرح تخلیق کرنے کی کوشش کرے؟ ذرا وہ ایک ذرہ پیدا کر کے دکھائیں یا وہ ایک دانہ پیدا کر کے دکھائیں۔“
Abu Zara ne bayan kya: Hum Saeed ya Muawiya ke pas gaye to un ke pas ek musawwir tha jo deewar par tasveeren bana raha tha. Unhon ne kaha ke Allah ke Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ke Allah Ta'ala ne farmaya: "Is se barh kar zalim kaun hai jo meri takhleeq ki tarah takhleeq karne ki koshish kare? Zara wo ek zarra paida kar ke dikhayen ya wo ek dana paida kar ke dikhayen."
Ibn al-Qasim narrated on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha: She put up a curtain on which there were pictures. The Prophet ﷺ entered and pulled it down. Aisha said: I then cut it and made two cushions out of it. A man in the gathering, it is said he was Rabi'ah ibn 'Ata', the client of Banu Zuhrah, said: Did you hear Abu Muhammad mentioning that Aisha had said: Allah's Messenger ﷺ used to be playful with them (i.e. his wives)? Ibn al-Qasim said: No, but I heard him [the Prophet]... Ibn al-Qasim b. Muhammad intended (to say).
ابنِ قاسم اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں، ان سے حضرت عائشہؓ بیان کرتی ہیں کہ انہوں نے ایک پردہ لٹکایا جس پر تصویریں بنی تھیں۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ اندر داخل ہوئے اور اسے کھینچ کر گرا دیا۔ حضرت عائشہؓ نے بیان کیا کہ پھر میں نے اسے کاٹ کر اس کے دو گدے بنالیے۔ مجلس میں موجود ایک شخص، کہا جاتا ہے کہ وہ ربیعہ بن عطاء تھے، جو بنو زہرہ کے مولیٰ تھے، نے کہا: کیا آپ نے ابو محمد سے سنا ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ حضرت عائشہؓ نے کہا تھا کہ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ ان کے ساتھ ہنسی مذاق فرمایا کرتے تھے؟ ابنِ قاسم نے کہا کہ نہیں، لیکن میں نے ان سے سنا… ابنِ قاسم بن محمد کا ارادہ تھا (کہنے کا) کہ
Ibn e Qasim apne walid se riwayat karte hain, un se Hazrat Ayesha bayan karti hain ke unhon ne aik parda latkaya jis par tasveerein bani thin. Rasul Allah andar dakhil hue aur usay khench kar gira diya. Hazrat Ayesha ne bayan kiya ke phir maine usay kaat kar uske do gade banaliye. Majlis mein mojood aik shakhs, kaha jata hai ke woh Rubia bin Ataa thay, jo Bano Zahra ke maula thay, ne kaha: kya aap ne Abu Muhammad se suna hai ke unhon ne kaha tha ke Hazrat Ayesha ne kaha tha ke Allah ke Rasul un ke sath hansi mazaq farmaya karte thay? Ibn e Qasim ne kaha ke nahin, lekin maine un se suna… Ibn e Qasim bin Muhammad ka irada tha (kehne ka) ke
Ibn Abbas narrated that when the Prophet ﷺ saw pictures in the House, meaning the Ka'ba, he did not enter until he ordered them to be erased. He also saw Abraham and Ishmael with divination arrows in their hands, whereupon he said: “May Allah curse them! By Allah, they never drew lots with arrows.”
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے جب گھر یعنی کعبہ میں تصویریں دیکھیں تو اس وقت تک داخل نہ ہوئے جب تک انہیں مٹانے کا حکم نہ دے دیا اور آپ ﷺ نے ابراہیم اور اسماعیل علیہما السلام کو دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھوں میں تیروں کے ذریعے فال نکالنے والے تھے تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا اللہ ان پر لعنت کرے اللہ کی قسم انہوں نے کبھی تیروں سے فال نہیں نکالی۔
Ibne Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ke Nabi SAW ne jab ghar yani Kaaba mein tasveerein dekhin to us waqt tak dakhil na huye jab tak unhein mitane ka hukum na de diya aur aap SAW ne Ibrahim aur Ismail Alaihima Salam ko dekha ke un ke hathon mein teeron ke zariye faal nikalne wale the to aap SAW ne farmaya Allah un per laanat kare Allah ki qasam unhon ne kabhi teeron se faal nahi nikali.
Abu Ma'mar reported that Allah's Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered the Masjid and around it were three hundred and sixty idols. He began to strike them with a stick in his hand and was saying, “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Verily falsehood is bound to vanish."
حضرت ابو معمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسجد میں داخل ہوئے تو اس کے ارد گرد تین سو ساٹھ بت تھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اپنے ہاتھ میں موجود ایک لکڑی سے مارنا شروع کردیا اور فرما رہے تھے کہ "حق آگیا اور باطل نابود ہوگیا بیشک باطل کو نابود ہونا ہی ہے۔"
