Hadith of Hudhayfa ibn al-Yaman from the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23390

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to ask him about good, and I used to ask him about evil. Someone asked him the reason for this, so he said, "Whoever avoids evil, he does good deeds."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ ان سے خیر کے متعلق سوال کرتے تھے اور میں ان سے شر کے متعلق پوچھتا تھا کسی نے اس کی وجہ پوچھی تو فرمایا جو شخص شر سے بچ جاتا ہے وہ خیر ہی کے کام کرتا ہے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Sahaba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) un se khair ke mutalliq sawal karte the aur main un se shar ke mutalliq puchta tha kisi ne is ki wajah puchhi to farmaya jo shakhs shar se bach jata hai wo khair hi ke kaam karta hai.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بنِ السَّائِب ، عَنْ أَبي الْبخْتَرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : كَانَ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنِ الْخَيْرِ، وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، قِيلَ: لِمَ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ اتَّقَى الشَّرَّ، وَقَعَ فِي الْخَيْرِ" .

Huzaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go to his bed at night, he would say, "O Allah, with Your name we die and we live." And when he would wake up, he would say, "All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after our death, and to Him is our return."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ رات کے وقت جب اپنے بستر پر آتے تو یوں کہتے اے اللہ! ہم تیرے ہی نام سے جیتے مرتے ہیں اور جب بیدار ہوتے تو یوں فرماتے " اس اللہ کا شکر جس نے ہمیں مرنے کے بعد دوبارہ زندہ کیا اور اسی کے یہاں جمع ہونا ہے۔ "

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بنُ حَيَّانَ ، أَخْبرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الْمَلِكِ بنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ رِبعِيِّ بنِ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعَهُ، قَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ باسْمِكَ أَحْيَا وَأَمُوتُ"، وَإِذَا قَامَ، قَالَ:" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بعْدَمَا أَمَاتَنَا، وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ" .

Narrated Hudhaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه): Bilal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) used to come to the Prophet (PBUH) in the morning while he (PBUH) would be having Suhoor and I could see the place where my arrow had fallen. I asked, (was it) after the true dawn? He said, yes! It was already dawn but the sun had not yet risen.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت بلال رضی اللہ عنہ صبح کے وقت نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوتے تو نبی کریم ﷺ سحری کھا رہے ہوتے تھے اور میں اس وقت اپنا تیر گرنے کی جگہ دیکھ سکتا تھا میں نے پوچھا کہ صبح صادق کے بعد؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ہاں! صبح ہوچکی تھی لیکن سورج طلوع نہیں ہوتا تھا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Hazrat Bilal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) subah ke waqt Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hote to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sehri kha rahe hote thay aur mein us waqt apna teer girne ki jagah dekh sakta tha maine poocha ki subah sadiq ke baad? Unhon ne farmaya haan! Subah ho chuki thi lekin sooraj taloo nahin hota tha.

حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ زِرٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: " كَانَ بلَالٌ يَأْتِي النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَسَحَّرُ، وَإِنِّي لَأُبصِرُ مَوَاقِعَ نَبلِي، قُلْتُ: أَبعْدَ الصُّبحِ؟ قَالَ: بعْدَ الصُّبحِ، إِلَّا أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَطْلُعْ الشَّمْسُ" .

Huzaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Some people will come to me at the Hawd (Cistern) of Kauthar whom I will recognize. When they approach me, they will be taken away (from me). I will say, 'My Lord! My companions!' It will be said (to me), 'You do not know what innovations they introduced after you.'"

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا میرے پاس حوض کوثر پر کچھ آدمی ایسے بھی آئیں گے کہ میں دیکھوں گا جب وہ میرے سامنے پیش ہوں گے انہیں میرے سامنے سے اچک لیا جائے گا میں عرض کروں گا پروردگار! میرے ساتھی ارشاد ہوگا کہ آپ نہیں جانتے کہ انہوں نے آپ کے بعد کیا چیزیں ایجاد کرلی تھیں۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya mere pass howz e kauthar par kuch admi aise bhi ayenge ki main dekhon ga jab wo mere samne pesh honge unhen mere samne se utha liya jayega main arz karon ga Parwardigaar! mere saathi irshad hoga ki aap nahin jante ki unhon ne aap ke bad kya cheezen ijad kar li thin.

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ ، عَنْ أَبي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَيَرِدَنَّ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ أَقْوَامٌ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُهُمْ اخْتُلِجُوا دُونِي، فَأَقُولُ: أَيْ رَب، أَصْحَابي أَصْحَابي، فَيُقَالُ: إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بعْدَكَ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would supplicate for someone, the effects of that prayer would reach him, his children and even his grandchildren.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب کسی شخص کے لئے دعا فرماتے تھے تو اس دعاء کے اثرات اسے اس کی اولاد کو اور اس کے پوتوں تک کو پہنچتے تھے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab kisi shakhs ke liye dua farmate thy to us dua ke asrat use uski aulad ko aur uske poton tak ko pohanchte thy.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبي بكْرِ بنِ عَمْرِو بنِ عُتْبةَ ، عَنْ ابنِ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ: وَقَدْ ذَكَرَهُ مَرَّةً عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ : " أَنَّ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَتُدْرِكُ الرَّجُلَ وَوَلَدَهُ وَوَلَدَ وَلَدِهِ" .

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23395

Narrated by Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk, when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) set out, he was informed about the shortage of water. He ordered the announcer to announce that there is very little water, so no one should reach here before me. But when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) reached there, he saw that some people had already reached there before him. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) cursed and rebuked them.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ تبوک کے موقع پر نبی کریم ﷺ روانہ ہوئے انہیں پانی کی قلت کا پتہ چلا تو منادی کو یہ اعلان کرنے کا حکم دیا کہ پانی بہت تھوڑا ہے لہٰذا اس مقام پر مجھ سے پہلے کوئی نہ پہنچے لیکن جب نبی کریم ﷺ وہاں پہنچے تو دیکھا کہ کچھ لوگ ان سے پہلے وہاں پہنچ چکے ہیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں لعنت ملامت کی۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ghazwa tabook ke mauke par Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) rawana huye unhen pani ki qillat ka pata chala to munadi ko ye elaan karne ka hukum diya ki pani bahut thoda hai lihaza is maqam par mujh se pehle koi na pahunche lekin jab Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) wahan pahunche to dekha ki kuch log un se pehle wahan pahunch chuke hain Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen laanat malamat ki.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ابنَ جُمَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبو الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ غَزْوَةِ تَبوكَ، قَالَ: فَبلَغَهُ أَنَّ فِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةً الَّذِي يَرِدُهُ، فَأَمَرَ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى فِي النَّاسِ: " أَنْ لَا يَسْبقَنِي إِلَى الْمَاءِ أَحَدٌ"، فَأَتَى الْمَاءَ، وَقَدْ سَبقَهُ قَوْمٌ، فَلَعَنَهُمْ .

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23396

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once I had the opportunity to spend the night in the house of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up to pray. One end of the blanket was on the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the other end was on Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). She was menstruating at that time, meaning she could not pray.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ مجھے نبی کریم ﷺ کے گھر میں رات گذارنے کا اتفاق ہوا نبی کریم ﷺ نماز پڑھنے کے لئے کھڑے ہوئے لحاف کا ایک کونا نبی کریم ﷺ پر تھا اور دوسرا کونا حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا پر تھا وہ اس وقت " ایام " سے تھیں یعنی نماز نہیں پڑھ سکتی تھیں۔

Hazrat Huzaifa raziallahu anhu se marvi hai keh aik martaba mujhe Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke ghar mein raat guzarne ka ittefaq hua Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz parhne ke liye kharay huay lihaf ka aik kona Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par tha aur dusra kona Hazrat Ayesha raziallahu anha par tha woh us waqt "Ayaam" se thin yani namaz nahi parh sakti thin.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ بنِ الْعَيْزَارِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ :" بتُّ بآلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةً، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ طَرَفُ اللِّحَافِ، وَعَلَى عَائِشَةَ طَرَفُهُ، وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ لَا تُصَلِّي" .

Huzaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the people of Najran more than twice, "I will send with you such a trustworthy man who will truly deserve to be called trustworthy." Hearing this, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) started looking up, hoping to be chosen. Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) with them.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ اہل نجران سے دو سے زائد مرتبہ فرمایا میں تمہارے ساتھ ایسے امانت دار آدمی کو بھیجوں گا جو واقعی امین کہلانے کا حق دار ہوگا یہ سن کر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم سر اٹھا اٹھا کر دیکھنے لگے پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے حضرت ابوعبیدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو ان کے ساتھ بھیج دیا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Ahl Najran se do se ziada martaba farmaya mein tumhare sath aise amanat daar aadmi ko bhejoon ga jo waqai ameen kehlane ka haqdaar hoga yeh sunkar sahaba karam razi Allah anhum sar utha utha kar dekhne lage phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hazrat Abu Ubaidah razi Allah anhu ko unke sath bhej diya.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، قَالَ: أَبو إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبرَنَا، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ صِلَةَ بنَ زُفَرَ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَهْلِ نَجْرَانَ: " لَأَبعَثَنَّ إِلَيْكُمْ رَجُلًا أَمِينًا حَقَّ أَمِينٍ"، قَالَهَا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مَرَّتَيْنِ، فَاسْتَشْرَفَ لَهَا النَّاسُ، فَبعَثَ أَبا عُبيْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ .

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Once, I met Gabriel (peace be upon him) at a place called "Ahjar al-Maraa" and I said to him, "O Gabriel! I have been sent to an illiterate nation which includes men and women, boys and girls, and very old people who do not know how to read or write." He said, "The Holy Quran has been revealed in seven Ahruf (modes of recitation)."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک مرتبہ " احجارالمراء " نامی جگہ پر میری جبرائیل علیہ السلام سے ملاقات ہوگئی تو میں نے ان سے کہا کہ اے جبرائیل! مجھے ایک امی امت کی طرف بھیجا گیا ہے جس میں مرد و عورت لڑکے اور لڑکیاں اور نہایت بوڑھے لوگ بھی شامل ہیں جو کچھ بھی پڑھنا نہیں جانتے تو انہوں نے کہا کہ قرآن کریم سات حروف پر نازل ہوا ہے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa razi Allah anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ek martaba "Ahjar-ul-Maraa" nami jaga par meri Jibraeel alaihissalam se mulaqat hogayi to maine un se kaha keh aye Jibraeel! mujhe ek ummi ummat ki taraf bheja gaya hai jis mein mard o aurat larke aur larkiyan aur nihayat budhe log bhi shamil hain jo kuchh bhi parhna nahi jante to unhon ne kaha keh Quran Kareem saat huroof par nazil hua hai.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ زِرٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَقِيتُ جِبرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام عِنْدَ أَحْجَارِ الْمِرَاءِ، فَقَالَ: يَا جِبرِيلُ، إِنِّي أُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ أُمِّيَّةٍ: الرَّجُلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ وَالْغُلَامُ وَالْجَارِيَةُ وَالشَّيْخُ الْفَانِي الَّذِي لَمْ يَقْرَأُ كِتَابا قَط، قَالَ: إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ نَزَلَ عَلَى سَبعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ" .

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23399

Narrated by Huzaifa (RA), that once he prayed behind the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet (PBUH) began reciting Surah Baqarah. When he reached a hundred verses, Huzaifa (RA) thought the Prophet (PBUH) would go into Ruku (bowing). However, the Prophet (PBUH) continued reciting until he reached two hundred verses. Huzaifa (RA) thought he might go into Ruku (bowing) now, but the Prophet (PBUH) continued reciting until he finished the Surah. Then the Prophet (PBUH) started reciting Surah Nisa and went into Ruku (bowing) after reciting it. The Prophet (PBUH) kept reciting “Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem” (Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great) in Ruku (bowing) and “Subhana Rabbiyal A’la” (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High) in Sajdah (prostration). Whenever a verse about mercy passed by, he would stop and pray, and whenever a verse about punishment passed by, he would stop and seek refuge from it.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی نبی کریم ﷺ نے سورت بقرہ شروع کردی جب سو آیات پر پہنچے تو میں نے سوچا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ اب رکوع کریں گے لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ پڑھتے رہے حتی کہ دو سو آیات تک پہنچ گئے میں نے سوچا کہ شاید اب رکوع کریں گے لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ پڑھتے رہے حتی کہ اسے ختم کرلیا لیکن نبی کریم ﷺ نے سورت نساء شروع کرلی اور اسے پڑھ کر رکوع کیا نبی کریم ﷺ اپنے رکوع میں سبحان ربی العظیم اور سجدہ میں سبحان ربی الاعلی کہتے رہے اور رحمت کی جس آیت پر گذرتے وہاں رک کر دعا مانگتے اور عذاب کی جس آیت پر گذرتے تو وہاں رک کر اس سے پناہ مانگتے تھے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik martaba maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath namaz parhi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Surah Baqarah shuru kar di jab 100 aayaat par pahunche to maine socha ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ab ruku karenge lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) parhte rahe hatta ki 200 aayaat tak pahunch gaye maine socha ki shayad ab ruku karenge lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) parhte rahe hatta ki isse khatam kar liya lekin Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Surah Nisa shuru kar li aur ise parh kar ruku kiya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne ruku mein Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem aur sajda mein Subhana Rabbiyal A'la kahte rahe aur rahmat ki jis ayat par guzarte wahan ruk kar dua mangte aur azab ki jis ayat par guzarte to wahan ruk kar is se panah mangte the.

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بنُ الْمُسَيَّب ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي، فَلَمَّا كَبرَ قَالَ: " اللَّهُ أَكْبرُ، ذُو الْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْجَبرُوتِ، وَالْكِبرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ"، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ، ثُمَّ، ثُمَّ عِمْرَانَ، لَا يَمُرُّ بآيَةِ تَخْوِيفٍ إِلَّا وَقَفَ عِنْدَهَا، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ يَقُولُ:" سُبحَانَ رَبيَ الْعَظِيمِ"، مِثْلَ مَا كَانَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَقَالَ:" سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، رَبنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ"، مِثْلَ مَا كَانَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، يَقُولُ:" سُبحَانَ رَبيَ الْأَعْلَى"، مِثْلَ مَا كَانَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ:" رَب اغْفِرْ لِي"، مِثْلَ مَا كَانَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ يَقُولُ:" سُبحَانَ رَبيَ الْأَعْلَى"، مِثْلَ مَا كَانَ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَقَامَ فَمَا صَلَّى إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى جَاءَ بلَالٌ فَآذَنَهُ بالصَّلَاةِ .

Zar bin Hubaysh reported: I asked Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, "When did you eat sahur with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?" Hudhayfah said, "It was after dawn had appeared, but before the sun had risen."

زر بن حبیش کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے پوچھا کہ آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ کس وقت سحری کھائی ہے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا صبح ہوچکی تھی لیکن سورج طلوع نہیں ہوا تھا۔

Zar bin Habish kehte hain ke aik martaba maine Hazrat Huzaifa bin Yaman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne poocha ke aap ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath kis waqt sehri khai hai? Unhon ne farmaya subah ho chuki thi lekin sooraj taloo nahi hua tha.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بنِ حُبيْشٍ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِحُذَيْفَةَ : أَيُّ سَاعَةٍ تَسَحَّرْتُمْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ:" هُوَ النَّهَارُ إِلَّا أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تَطْلُعْ" .

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla said: Once I went out with Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, to a village. He asked for water, and a peasant brought water in a silver vessel. Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, struck the vessel on his face. We gestured to each other to remain silent because if we asked him, he would never explain it to us. So we remained silent. After a while, he himself said, "Do you know why I hit the vessel on his face?" We said, "No." He said, "I had forbidden him before (but he did not refrain). Then he said that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: 'Do not drink from vessels of gold and silver, and do not wear silk and brocade, for these things are for the disbelievers in this world, and for you in the Hereafter.'"

عبدالرحمن بن ابی لیلی کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ ایک دیہات کی طرف نکلا انہوں نے پانی منگوایا تو ایک کسان چاندی کے برتن میں پانی لے کر آیا حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے وہ برتن اس کے منہ پردے مارا ہم نے ایک دوسرے کو خاموش رہنے کا اشارہ کیا کیونکہ اگر ہم ان سے پوچھتے تو وہ کبھی اس کے متعلق ہم سے بیان نہ کرتے چناچہ ہم خاموش رہے کچھ دیر بعد انہوں نے خود ہی فرمایا کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ میں نے یہ برتن اس کے چہرے پر کیوں مارا؟ ہم نے عرض کیا نہیں فرمایا کہ میں نے اسے پہلے بھی منع کیا تھا (لیکن یہ باز نہیں آیا) پھر انہوں نے بتایا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا سونے چاندی کے برتن میں کچھ نہ پیا کرو ریشم و دیبا مت پہنا کرو کیونکہ یہ چیزیں دنیا میں کافروں کے لئے ہیں اور آخرت میں تمہارے لئے ہیں۔

Abdul Rahman bin Abi Layla kehte hain ki aik martaba mein Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke sath aik dehat ki taraf nikla unhon ne pani mangwaya to aik kisan chandi ke bartan mein pani lekar aaya Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne woh bartan uske munh per de mara hum ne aik dusre ko khamosh rehne ka ishara kiya kyunki agar hum unse puchte to woh kabhi iske mutalliq hum se bayan na karte chunancha hum khamosh rahe kuch der baad unhon ne khud hi farmaya kya tum jante ho ki maine yeh bartan uske chehre per kyun mara hum ne arz kiya nahin farmaya ki maine use pehle bhi mana kiya tha lekin yeh baaz nahin aaya phir unhon ne bataya ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya sone chandi ke bartan mein kuch na piya karo resham o diba mat pehna karo kyunki yeh cheezen duniya mein kafiro ke liye hain aur aakhirat mein tumhare liye hain.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بنِ أَبي لَيْلَى ، قَالَ: اسْتَسْقَى حُذَيْفَةُ مِنْ دِهْقَانٍ أَوْ عِلْجٍ، فَأَتَاهُ بإِنَاءٍ فِضَّةٍ، فَحَذَفَهُ بهِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبلَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ اعْتَذَرَ اعْتِذَارًا، وَقَالَ: إِنِّي إِنَّمَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ بهِ عَمْدًا، لِأَنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُهُ قَبلَ هَذِهِ الْمَرَّةِ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَانَا عَنْ لُبسِ الدِّيباجِ وَالْحَرِيرِ، وَآنِيَةِ الذَّهَب وَالْفِضَّةِ، وَقَالَ: " هُوَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَهُوَ لَنَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ" .

It was narrated from Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman that the Prophet (ﷺ) once took hold of his lower leg and said: "This is where the lower garment should be. If anyone insists on letting it down lower than that, then (he may do so) to here. If he still insists (on letting it down lower), then (the part) below the ankles has no right (to be covered by the lower garment)."

حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ اپنی پنڈلی کی مچھلی پکڑ کر فرمایا تہبند باندھنے کی جگہ یہاں تک ہے اگر تم نہ مانو تو اس سے کچھ نیچے لٹکا لو اگر یہ بھی نہ مانو تو ٹخنوں سے نیچے تہبند کا کوئی حق نہیں ہے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa bin Yaman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba apni pindli ki machhli pakad kar farmaya tehband bandhne ki jagah yahan tak hai agar tum na mano to is se kuch niche latka lo agar ye bhi na mano to takhno se niche tehband ka koi haq nahi hai.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بنِ نُذَيْرٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بعَضَلَةِ سَاقِي، فَقَالَ: " هَذَا مَوْضِعُ الْإِزَارِ، فَإِنْ أَبيْتَ فَأَسْفَلُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، فَإِنْ أَبيْتَ، فَلَا حَقَّ لِلْإِزَارِ فِي الْكَعْبيْنِ" .

Abu Qilaba said that once, one of Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the other, "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say anything about the phrase 'People say'?" The other replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that it is the worst mount of a man."

ابو قلابہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ اور ابو مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ میں سے ایک نے دوسرے سے پوچھا کہ آپ نے " لوگ کہتے ہیں " اس جملے کے متعلق نبی کریم ﷺ کو کیا فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے؟ دوسرے نے جواب دیا میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ یہ انسان کی بدترین سواری ہے۔

Abu Qilaba kehte hain ke ek martaba Hazrat Huzaifa aur Abu Masood mein se ek ne dusre se poocha ke aap ne "log kehte hain" is jumle ke mutalliq Nabi ko kya farmate hue suna hai? Dusre ne jawab diya mein ne Nabi ko farmate hue suna hai ke yeh insan ki badtareen sawari hai.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بنِ أَبي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبي قِلَابةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبو عَبدِ اللَّهِ لِأَبي مَسْعُودٍ، أَوْ قَالَ أَبو مَسْعُودٍ لِأَبي عَبدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي حُذَيْفَةَ : مَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِيَّ زَعَمُوا؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: " بئْسَ مَطِيَّةُ الرَّجُلِ" .

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once I had the opportunity to spend the night in the house of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up for prayer, one corner of the blanket was on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the other corner was on Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). She was menstruating at that time, meaning she could not pray.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ مجھے نبی کریم ﷺ کے گھر میں رات گذارنے کا اتفاق ہوا نبی کریم ﷺ نماز پڑھنے کے لئے کھڑے ہوئے لحاف کا ایک کونا نبی کریم ﷺ پر تھا اور دوسرا کونا حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا پر تھا وہ اس وقت " ایام " سے تھیں یعنی نماز نہیں پڑھ سکتی تھیں۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba mujhe Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke ghar mein raat guzarne ka ittefaq hua Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz padhne ke liye khare huye lihaf ka ek kona Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par tha aur dusra kona Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) par tha wo us waqt "Ayaam" se thin yani namaz nahin parh sakti thin.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ الْعَيْزَارِ بنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: بتُّ عِنْدَ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، " فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى فِي ثَوْب، طَرَفُهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَطَرَفُهُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ" .

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood among us and did not leave out any event that would occur until the Day of Judgment without mentioning it while standing in that very place. Whoever remembered it, remembered it, and whoever forgot it, forgot it.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ ہمارے درمیان کھڑے ہوئے اور قیامت تک پیش آنے والا کوئی واقعہ ایسا نہ چھوڑا جو اسی جگہ کھڑے کھڑے بیان نہ کردیا ہو جس نے اسے یاد رکھا سو یاد رکھا اور جو بھول گیا سو بھول گیا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hamare darmiyan kharay huye aur qayamat tak pesh aane wala koi waqea aisa na chora jo isi jagah kharay kharay bayan na kar diya ho jisne use yaad rakha so yaad rakha aur jo bhul gaya so bhul gaya.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: " قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقَامًا، فَأَخْبرَنَا بمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، حَفِظَهُ مَنْ حَفِظَهُ، وَنَسِيَهُ مَنْ نَسِيَهُ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the one who sits in the middle of the circle has been cursed by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جو شخص وسط حلقہ میں بیٹھتا ہے وہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی زبانی معلون قرار دے دیا گیا ہے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki jo shakhs wast halqa mein bethta hai wo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki zabaani maloom karar de diya gaya hai.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبي مِجْلَزٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَلَسَ وَسْطَ حَلْقَةِ قَوْمٍ، فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : " لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ قَالَ: مَلْعُونٌ عَلَى لِسَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِي يَجْلِسُ وَسْطَ الْحَلْقَةِ" .

Hazeefa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that two men, Aqib and Sayyid, came from Najran and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Send with us a trustworthy man." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I will send with you a man who truly deserves to be called trustworthy." Hearing this, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) started looking at each other, raising their heads. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) with them.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نجران سے ایک مرتبہ عاقب اور سید نامی دو آدمی آئے وہ نبی کریم ﷺ سے کہنے لگے یا رسول اللہ! آپ ہمارے ساتھ کسی امانت دار آدمی کو بھیج دیجئے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا میں تمہارے ساتھ ایسے امانت دار آدمی کو بھیجوں گا جو واقعی امین کہلانے کا حق دار ہوگا یہ سن کر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم سر اٹھا اٹھا کر دیکھنے لگے پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے حضرت ابوعبیدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو ان کے ساتھ بھیج دیا۔

Aap humare sath kisi amanat dar aadmi ko bhi bhej dijiye Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya main tumhare sath aise amanat dar aadmi ko bhejoon ga jo waqai amin kehlane ka haqdar hoga ye sun kar Sahaba Karam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) sar utha utha kar dekhne lage phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hazrat Abu Ubaidah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko un ke sath bhej diya.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بنِ زُفَرَ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: جَاءَ الْعَاقِب وَالسَّيِّدُ إِلَى النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَا: أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا أَمِينًا، فَقَالَ النَّبيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " سَأُرْسِلُ مَعَكُمْ رَجُلًا أَمِينًا أَمِينًا أَمِينًا"، قَالَ: فَجَثَا لَهَا أَصْحَاب رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الرُّكَب، قَالَ: فَبعَثَ أَبا عُبيْدَةَ بنَ الْجَرَّاحِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ .

Abdul Rahman bin Yazid said: Once we went to Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Tell us about a man who is closest to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in manners and character so that we may learn these manners from him and listen to hadiths from him. He said: The most resembling of the people to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in character and manners was Ibn Mas'ud.

عبدالرحمن بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس گئے اور ان سے کہا کہ ہمیں کسی ایسے آدمی کا پتہ بتائیے جو طور طریقوں اور سیرت میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے سب سے زیادہ قریب ہوتا کہ ہم ان سے یہ طریقے حاصل کریں ان سے حدیث کی سماعت کریں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا سیرت اور طور طریقوں میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے سب سے زیادہ مشابہہ ابن مسعود تھے۔

Abdulrahman bin Yazid kehty hain ky aik martaba hum log Hazrat Huzaifa radi Allaho anho ky pas gaye aur un se kaha ky humain kisi aesy aadmi ka pata bataiye jo tor tariqon aur seerat mein Nabi Kareem sallallaho alaihi wasallam ky sab se zyada qareeb hota ky hum un se ye tariqy hasil karein un se hadees ki samaat karein? Unhon ne farmaya seerat aur tor tariqon mein Nabi Kareem sallallaho alaihi wasallam ky sab se zyada mushabaha Ibn Masood thy.

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ: قُلْنَا لِحُذَيْفَةَ : أَخْبرْنَا عَنْ أَقْرَب النَّاسِ سَمْتًا برَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَأْخُذْ عَنْه وَنَسْمَعْ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ: " كَانَ أَشْبهُ النَّاسِ سَمْتًا وَدَلًّا وَهَدْيًا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابنَ أُمِّ عَبدٍ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, in the intense heat, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set out and instructed the people, "Water is very scarce, so no one should reach the destination before me."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ سخت گرمی کے موسم میں نبی کریم ﷺ روانہ ہوئے اور لوگوں سے فرما دیا کہ پانی بہت تھوڑا ہے لہٰذا اس مقام پر مجھ سے پہلے کوئی نہ پہنچے۔

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ وَلِيدِ بنِ عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ جُمَيْعٍ ، عَنْ أَبي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ , أَنّ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَبلَغَهُ عَنِ الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ، فَقَالَ: " لَا يَسْبقْنِي إِلَى الْمَاءِ أَحَدٌ" .

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Once I met Gabriel (peace be upon him) at a place called "Ahjar-ul-Meraa" and I said, "O Gabriel! I have been sent to an illiterate nation, which includes men and women, boys and girls, and very old people who do not know how to read or write." He said, "The Holy Quran has been revealed in seven modes (ahruf)."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک مرتبہ " احجارالمراء " نامی جگہ پر میری جبرائیل علیہ السلام سے ملاقات ہوگئی تو میں نے ان سے کہا کہ اے جبرائیل! مجھے ایک امی امت کی طرف بھیجا گیا ہے جس میں مرد و عورت لڑکے اور لڑکیاں اور نہایت بوڑھے لوگ بھی شامل ہیں جو کچھ بھی پڑھنا نہیں جانتے تو انہوں نے کہا کہ قرآن کریم سات حروف پر نازل ہوا ہے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ إِبرَاهِيمَ بنِ مُهَاجِرٍ ، عَنْ رِبعِيِّ بنِ حِرَاشٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ لَمْ يَكْذِبنِي، قَالَ: وَكَانَ إِذَا قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ لَمْ يَكْذِبنِي، رَأَيْنَا أَنَّهُ يَعْنِي حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: لَقِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبرِيلُ بأَحْجَارِ المِرَاءِ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ الضَّعِيفَ، فَمَنْ قَرَأَ عَلَى حَرْفٍ، فَلَا يَتَحَوَّلْ مِنْهُ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ رَغْبةً عَنْهُ" .

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that one night he went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to pray with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to recite the Quran, neither too softly nor too loudly, in the most beautiful recitation, pausing to let us hear the verses. Then he bowed for as long as he stood, then he raised his head and stood for as long as he bowed. Then he said, "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah" (Allah hears those who praise Him), "All praise is for Allah, the One with all might and dominion, the One with greatness and majesty". He continued praying until, by the time he finished this long prayer, only a little of the night remained.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک رات میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تاکہ آپ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تاکہ آپ ﷺ کی نماز میں شریک ہوجاؤں نبی کریم ﷺ نے قرأت شروع کی تو آواز پست تھی اور نہ بہت اونچی بہترین قرأت جس میں نبی کریم ﷺ ٹھہر ٹھہر کر ہمیں آیات الہیہ سناتے رہے پھر قیام کے بقدر رکوع کیا پھر سر اٹھا کر رکوع کے بقدر کھڑے رہے اور " سمع اللہ لمن حمدہ " کہہ کر فرمایا تمام تعریفیں اس اللہ کے لئے ہیں جو طاقت اور سلطنت والا ہے کبریائی اور عظمت والا ہے یہاں تک کہ اس طویل نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو رات کی تاریکی کچھ ہی باقی بچی تھی۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik raat main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua takay aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki namaz mein sharik ho jaon Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne qirat shuru ki to aawaz past thi aur na bahut oonchi behtarin qirat jis mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) thehr thehr kar humain ayaat ilahi sunate rahe phir qayam ke baqadar ruku kiya phir sar utha kar ruku ke baqadar kharay rahe aur "Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah" keh kar farmaya tamam tarifain is Allah ke liye hain jo taqat aur saltanat wala hai kibriyaai aur azmat wala hai yahan tak ke is tawil namaz se farigh huye to raat ki tareeki kuch hi baqi bachi thi.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الْمَلِكِ بنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابنُ أَخِي حُذَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ لِأُصَلِّيَ بصَلَاتِهِ، فَافْتَتَحَ فَقَرَأَ قِرَاءَةً لَيْسَتْ بالْخَفِيَّةِ، وَلَا بالرَّفِيعَةِ، قِرَاءَةً حَسَنَةً يُرَتِّلُ فِيهَا يُسْمِعُنَا، قَالَ: ثُمَّ رَكَعَ نَحْوًا مِنْ قِيَامِهِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ رُكُوعِهِ، فَقَالَ: " سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ"، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ذِي الْجَبرُوتِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ، وَالْكِبرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ"، حَتَّى فَرَغَ إِلَى الطَّوْلِ وَعَلَيْهِ سَوَادٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ" ، قَالَ عَبدُ الْمَلِكِ: هُوَ تَطَوُّعُ اللَّيْلِ.

It is narrated by Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) when he said, "Which of you remembers the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding trials?" I said, "I remember it as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) narrated it." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "You are very brave." I said, "The trials that befall a person regarding his family, wealth, children and neighbors are expiated by prayer, Zakat, enjoining good and forbidding evil." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I am not asking about that. I am asking about the trial that will spread like the waves of the sea." I said, "Amir al-Mu'minin! You do not need to worry about that. There is a closed door between you and it." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Will that door be broken or opened?" I replied, "It will be broken." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Then it will never be closed again." We asked, "Did Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) know about the door?" Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Yes! Just as he knew that night follows day. I had narrated the hadith to him. It was not a riddle to him." Then fear of Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) prevented us from asking who that door was. So we asked someone else stealthily. When they asked Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him), he replied, "That door was Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) himself."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگے کہ فتنوں سے متعلق نبی کریم ﷺ کی حدیث تم میں سے کسے یاد ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے جس طرح ارشاد فرمایا تھا مجھے اسی طرح یاد ہے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا تم تو بڑے بہادر ہو میں نے عرض کیا کہ اہل خانہ مال و دولت اور اولاد و پڑوسی کے متعلق انسان پر جو آزمائش آتی ہے اس کا کفارہ نماز زکوٰۃ امربالمعروف اور نہی عن المنکر سے ہوجاتا ہے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ میں اس کے متعلق نہیں پوچھ رہا میں تو اس فتنے کے متعلق پوچھ رہا ہوں جو سمندر کی موجوں کی طرح پھیل جائے گا میں نے عرض کیا امیرالمؤمنین! آپ کو اس سے فکر مند ہونے کی ضرورت نہیں آپ کے اور اس کے درمیان ایک بند دروازہ حائل ہے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے پوچھا کہ وہ دروازہ توڑاجائے گا یا کھولا جائے گا؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ اسے توڑ دیا جائے گا حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا پھر وہ کبھی بند نہ ہوگا۔ ہم نے پوچھا کہ کیا حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ دروازے کو جانتے تھے؟ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا ہاں! اسی طرح جیسے وہ جانتے تھے کہ دن کے بعد رات آتی ہے میں نے ان سے حدیث بیان کی تھی پہیلی نہیں بوجھی تھی پھر حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کا رعب ہمارے درمیان یہ پوچھنے میں حائل ہوگیا کہ وہ دروازہ " کون تھا چناچہ ہم نے مسروق سے کہا انہوں نے پوچھا تو حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا وہ دروازہ خود حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔

Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya ki mein iske mutalliq nahin pooch raha mein to us fitne ke mutalliq pooch raha hoon jo samandar ki mojon ki tarah phel jayega. Maine arz kiya Amirul Momineen! Aapko is se fikar mand hone ki zarurat nahin, aapke aur iske darmiyan ek band darwaza hail hai. Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne poocha ki woh darwaza tora jayega ya khola jayega? Maine arz kiya ki use tod diya jayega. Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya phir woh kabhi band na hoga. Humne poocha ki kya Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) darwaze ko jante the? Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya haan! Isi tarah jaise woh jante the ki din ke baad raat aati hai. Maine unse hadees bayan ki thi, paheli nahin boojhi thi phir Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka raub humare darmiyan yeh poochne mein hail hogaya ki woh darwaza "kaun tha". حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُذَيْفَةَ . وَوَكِيعٌ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ . وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ عُبيْدٍ ، وَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ: أَيُّكُمْ يَحْفَظُ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ؟ قُلْتُ: أَنَا، كَمَا قَالَهُ، قَالَ: إِنَّكَ لَجَرِيءٌ عَلَيْهَا أَوْ عَلَيْهِ، قُلْتُ: " فَتْنَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي أَهْلِهِ، وَمَالِهِ، وَوَلَدِهِ، وَجَارِهِ، يُكَفِّرُهَا الصَّلَاةُ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ، وَالْأَمْرُ بالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَالنَّهْيُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ"، قَالَ: لَيْسَ هَذَا أُرِيدُ، وَلَكِنْ الْفِتْنَةُ الَّتِي تَمُوجُ كَمَوْجِ الْبحْرِ، قُلْتُ: لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا بأْسٌ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، إِنَّ بيْنَكَ وَبيْنَهَا بابا مُغْلَقًا، قَالَ: أَيُكْسَرُ أَوْ يُفْتَحُ؟ قُلْتُ: بلْ يُكْسَرُ، قَالَ: إِذًا لَا يُغْلَقُ أَبدًا، قُلْنَا: أَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَعْلَمُ مَنْ الْباب؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، كَمَا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ دُونَ غَدٍ لَيْلَةً ، قَالَ وَكِيعٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: قَالَ: فَقَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ لِحُذَيْفَةَ: يَا أَبا عَبدِ اللَّهِ، كَانَ عُمَرُ يَعْلَمُ مَا حَدَّثَهُ بهِ؟ قُلْنَا: أَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَعْلَمُ مَنْ الْباب؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، كَمَا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ دُونَ غَدٍ لَيْلَةً إِنِّي حَدَّثْتُهُ حَدِيثًا لَيْسَ بالْأَغَالِيطِ، فَهِبنَا حُذَيْفَةَ أَنْ نَسْأَلَهُ مَنْ الْباب، فَأَمَرْنَا مَسْرُوقًا فَسَأَلَهُ، فَقَالَ: الْباب عُمَرُ.

Abdul Rahman bin Yazid said that once we went to Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him to tell us about a person who was closest to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in his manners and character so that we may learn these manners from him and listen to hadiths from him. He said, "Ibn Mas'ud was the most resembling of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in character and manners."

عبدالرحمن بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس گئے اور ان سے کہا کہ ہمیں کسی ایسے آدمی کا پتہ بتائیے جو طور طریقوں اور سیرت میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے سب سے زیادہ قریب ہوتا کہ ہم ان سے یہ طریقے حاصل کریں ان سے حدیث کی سماعت کریں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا سیرت اور طور طریقوں میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے سب سے زیادہ مشابہہ ابن مسعود تھے۔

Abdulrehman bin Yazid kehte hain ke aik martaba hum log Hazrat Huzaifa razi Allah anhu ke paas gaye aur unse kaha ke humein kisi aise aadmi ka pata bataiye jo tor tariqon aur سیرت mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sab se zyada qareeb hota ke hum unse ye tariqe hasil karen unse hadees ki samaat karen? Unhon ne farmaya سیرت aur tor tariqon mein Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sab se zyada mushabaha Ibn Masood thay.

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ: قُلْنَا لِحُذَيْفَةَ : أَخْبرْنَا برَجُلٍ قَرِيب الْهَدْيِ وَالسَّمْتِ وَالدَّلِّ برَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَأْخُذَ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: " مَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا أَقْرَب سَمْتًا، وَهَدْيًا، وَدَلًّا برَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى يُوَارِيَهُ جِدَارُ بيْتِهِ مِنَ ابنِ أُمِّ عَبدٍ" .

It is narrated by Hudhaifa bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey. As we walked, we reached a place where garbage was thrown. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood and urinated as any of you would. I started to move back, but the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Stay close." So I stayed close behind the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for water, performed ablution, and wiped his shoes.

حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے ہمراہ کسی راستے میں تھا چلتے چلتے کوڑا کرکٹ پھینکنے کی جگہ پر پہنچے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے کھڑے ہو کر پیشاب کیا جسے تم میں سے کوئی کرتا ہے میں پیچھے جانے لگا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا قریب ہی رہو چناچہ میں آپ ﷺ کی پشت کی جانب قریب ہوگیا پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے پانی منگوایا وضو کیا اور اپنے موزوں پر مسح فرما لیا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa bin Yaman Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hamrah kisi raste mein tha chalte chalte kooda karkat phenkne ki jagah par pahunche to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khde ho kar peshab kiya jise tum mein se koi karta hai main peeche jane laga to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya qareeb hi raho chunancha main aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki pusht ki janib qareeb hogaya phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pani mangvaya wuzu kiya aur apne mozon par masah farma liya.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، حَدَّثَنِي شَقِيقٌ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ:" كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَرِيقٍ فَتَنَحَّى، فَأَتَى سُباطَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَباعَدْتُ مِنْهُ، فَأَدْنَانِي حَتَّى صِرْتُ قَرِيبا مِنْ عَقِبيْهِ، فَبالَ قَائِمًا وَدَعَا بمَاءٍ، فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he met the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a market in Medina. He ( Hudayfah) excused himself, took a bath and returned. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "A believer is not impure."

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بنُ إِبرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ ابنِ سِيرِينَ ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ النَّبيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَقِيَهُ حُذَيْفَةُ ، فَحَادَ عَنْهُ فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ، فَقَالَ:" مَا لَكَ؟"، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كُنْتُ جُنُبا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَا يَنْجُسُ" ..

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once he met the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a market in Madinah. It is narrated on the authority of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about everything, even about the issue of leveling the pebbles during prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Level it once, otherwise leave it.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ سے ہر چیز کے متعلق سوال پوچھا ہے حتیٰ کہ کنکریوں کو دوران نماز برابر کرنے کا مسئلہ بھی پوچھا ہے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک مرتبہ اسے برابر کرلو ورنہ چھوڑ دو۔

Hazrat Huzaifa Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se har cheez ke mutalliq sawal poocha hai hatta keh kankariyon ko dauran namaz barabar karne ka masla bhi poocha hai Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ek martaba ise barabar karlo warna chhor do.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ ابنِ أَبي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ: هِلَالٌ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: وَسَأَلْتُ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى عَنْ مَسْحِ الْحَصَى، فَقَالَ: " وَاحِدَةً أَوْ دَعْ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he said, "I do not know how long I will remain among you, so follow these two men after me," and he pointed towards Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "And adhere firmly to the way of Umar, and what Ibn Mas'ud narrates to you, confirm it."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا میں نہیں جانتا کہ میں تمہارے درمیان کتنا عرصہ رہوں گا اس لئے ان دو آدمیوں کی پیروی کرنا جو میرے بعد ہوں گے اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ و عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف اشارہ کر کے فرمایا اور عمار کے طریقے کو مضبوطی سے تھامو اور ابن مسعود تم سے جو بات بیان کریں اس کی تصدیق کیا کرو۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba hum log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas baithe huye thay Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mein nahi janta ki mein tumhare darmiyan kitna arsa rahun ga is liye in do admiyon ki pairvi karna jo mere baad honge aur Hazrat Abubakar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) wa Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki taraf ishara kar ke farmaya aur Umar ke tarike ko mazbooti se thamo aur Ibn Masud tum se jo baat bayan karen us ki tasdeeq kiya karo.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الْمَلِكِ بنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مَوْلًى لِرِبعِيِّ بنِ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ رِبعِيِّ بنِ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " إِنِّي لَسْتُ أَدْرِي مَا قَدْرُ بقَائِي فِيكُمْ، فَاقْتَدُوا باللَّذَيْنِ مِنْ بعْدِي , وَأَشَارَ إِلَى أَبي بكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، قَالَ: وَمَا حَدَّثَكُمْ ابنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَصَدِّقُوهُ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Huzaifa bin Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said, "A slanderer will not enter Paradise."

حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا چغلخور جنت میں داخل نہ ہوگا۔

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I could not control my tongue when talking to my family, although it was not so with others. I mentioned this to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “O Hudhayfah! Why are you negligent in seeking forgiveness? I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times daily.”

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ اپنے اہل خانہ سے بات کرتے وقت مجھے اپنی زبان پر قابو نہیں رہتا تھا البتہ دوسروں کے ساتھ ایسا نہیں ہوتا تھا میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے اس چیز کا تذکرہ کیا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا حذیفہ! تم استغفار سے غفلت میں کیوں ہو؟ میں تو روزانہ اللہ سے سو مرتبہ توبہ و استغفار کرتا ہوں۔

Hazrat Huzaifa Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ke apne ahl khana se baat karte waqt mujhe apni zuban per qaboo nahi rehta tha albatta doosron ke sath aisa nahi hota tha maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se is cheez ka tazkara kiya to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Huzaifa! tum istighfar se ghaflat mein kyon ho? mein to rozana Allah se so martaba toba o istighfar karta hun.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عُبيْدِ بنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ فِي لِسَانِي ذَرَب عَلَى أَهْلِي، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ لَا يَعْدُوهُمْ إِلَى غَيْرِهِمْ، فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" فَأَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ يَا حُذَيْفَةُ؟ إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ فِي الْيَوْمِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ" .

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to know that Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) used to urinate in a bottle and say that if urine got on the body of the Children of Israel, they would cut off that place with scissors. Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I wish your companions would not be so strict. I remember that we were traveling with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and when we reached a place to throw garbage, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood and urinated."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو یہ بات معلوم ہوئی کہ حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ ایک شیشی میں پیشاب کرتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ بنی اسرائیل کے جسم پر اگر پیشاب لگ جاتا تو وہ اس جگہ کو قینچی سے کاٹ دیا کرتے تھے حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا میری آرزو ہے کہ تمہارے ساتھی اتنی سختی نہ کریں مجھے یاد ہے کہ ہم نبی کریم ﷺ کے ہمراہ چل رہے تھے چلتے چلتے کوڑا کر کٹ پھینکنے کی جگہ پر پہنچنے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے کھڑے ہو کر پیشاب کیا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa razi Allah anhu ko yeh baat maloom hui keh Hazrat Abumusa razi Allah anhu aik shishi mein peshab karte thay aur farmate thay keh Bani Israel ke jism par agar peshab lag jata to woh us jagah ko kainchi se kaat diya karte thay Hazrat Huzaifa razi Allah anhu ne farmaya meri aarzoo hai keh tumhare saathi itni sakhti na karen mujhe yaad hai keh hum Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hamrah chal rahe thay chalte chalte kora kar kat phenkne ki jagah par pahunchne to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kharay hokar peshab kiya.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ , أَنَّ أَبا مُوسَى كَانَ يُشَدِّدُ فِي الْبوْلِ، قَالَ: كَانَ بنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ إِذَا أَصَاب أَحَدَهُمْ الْبوْلُ يُتْبعُهُ بالْمِقْرَاضَيْنِ، قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : وَدِدْتُ أَنَّهُ لَا يُشَدِّدُ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَتَى، أَوْ قَالَ: مَشَى إِلَى سُباطَةِ قَوْمٍ، فَبالَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A people will come out of Hell when the fire has burnt them. They will be called 'Jahanami' (Hell-dwellers)."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جہنم سے ایک قوم اس وقت نکلے گی جب آگ انہیں جھلسا چکی ہوگی انہیں " جہنمی " کہا جائے گا۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَحَجَّاجٌ , قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ رِبعِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ شُعْبةُ: رَفَعَهُ مَرَّةً إِلَى النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يُخْرِجُ اللَّهُ قَوْمًا مُنْتِنِينَ قَدْ مَحَشَتْهُمْ النَّارُ بشَفَاعَةِ الشَّافِعِينَ، فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ الْجَنَّةَ، فَيُسَمَّوْنَ الْجَهَنَّمِيُّونَ" ..

Sabeeh says that once people sent me to buy an animal. We reached a place where many people were gathered around a person. My companion went towards the animals while I went towards that person. Upon reaching there, I realized that it was Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him). I went closer to him and heard him saying that people used to ask about good things from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and I used to ask about bad things because I knew that good would not leave me. One day, I asked in the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "O Hudhaifah! Learn the Book of Allah and follow its commands." (He repeated this three times). I asked again, "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said (three times), "O Hudhaifah! Learn the Book of Allah and follow its commands." I asked again, "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "There will be trials and evil." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "There will be trials and evil." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "There will be trials and evil." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "There will be trials and evil." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! After this good, will there be evil?" سبیع کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ لوگوں نے مجھے جانور خریدنے کے لئے بھیج دیا ہم ایک حلقے میں پہنچے جہاں بہت سے لوگ ایک شخص کے پاس جمع تھے میرا ساتھی تو جانوروں کی طرف چلا گیا جبکہ میں اس آدمی کی طرف، وہاں پہنچ کر معلوم ہوا کہ وہ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں میں ان کے قریب گیا تو انہیں یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ سے خیر کے متعلق سوال کرتے تھے اور میں شر کے متعلق کیونکہ میں جانتا تھا کہ خیر مجھے چھوڑ کر آگے نہیں جاسکتی ایک دن میں نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہوگا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا حذیفہ! کتاب اللہ کو سیکھو اور اس کے احکام کی پیروی کرو (تین مرتبہ فرمایا میں نے پھر اپنا سوال دہرایا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا فتنہ اور شر ہوگا میں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہوگا نبی کریم ﷺ نے تین مرتبہ فرمایا حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ! کتاب اللہ کو سیکھو اور اس کے احکام کی پر وی کرو میں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہوگا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا دھوئیں پر صلح قائم ہوگی اور گندگی پر اتفاق ہوگا میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! دھوئیں پر صلح قائم ہونے سے کیا مراد ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا لوگ اس صلح پر دل سے راضی نہیں ہوں گے۔ پھر میرے اور نبی کریم ﷺ کے درمیان وہی سوال جواب ہوئے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک ایسا فتنہ آئے گا جو اندھا بہرا کر دے گا اس پر جہنم کے دروازوں کی طرف بلانے والے لوگ مقرر ہوں گے اے حذیفہ! اگر تم اس حال میں مرو کہ تم نے کسی درخت کے تنے کو اپنے دانتوں تلے دبا رکھا ہو یہ اس سے بہتر ہوگا کہ تم ان میں سے کسی کی پیروی کرو۔ میں نے پوچھا پھر کیا ہوگا؟ فرمایا پھر دجال کا خروج ہوگا میں نے پوچھا اس کے ساتھ کیا چیز ہوگی؟ فرمایا اس کے ساتھ نہر یا پانی اور آگ ہوگی جو شخص اس کی نہر میں داخل ہوجائے گا اس کا اجر ضائع اور وبال پختہ ہوجائے گا اور جو شخص اس کی آگ میں داخل ہوگا اس کا اجر پختہ اور گناہ معاف ہوجائیں گے میں نے پوچھا پھر کیا ہوگا؟ فرمایا اگر تمہارے گھوڑے نے بچہ دیا تو اس کے بچے پر سوار ہونے کی نوبت نہیں آئے گی کہ قیامت قائم ہوجائے گی۔ پھر میرے اور نبی کریم ﷺ کے درمیان وہی سوال جواب ہوئے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک ایسا فتنہ آئے گا جو اندھا بہرا کر دے گا اس پر جہنم کے دروازوں کی طرف بلانے والے لوگ مقرر ہوں گے اے حذیفہ! اگر تم اس حال میں مرو کہ تم نے کسی درخت کے تنے کو اپنے دانتوں تلے دبا رکھا ہو یہ اس سے بہتر ہوگا کہ تم ان میں سے کسی کی پیروی کرو۔ میں نے پوچھا پھر کیا ہوگا؟ فرمایا پھر دجال کا خروج ہوگا میں نے پوچھا اس کے ساتھ کیا چیز ہوگی؟ فرمایا اس کے ساتھ نہر یا پانی اور آگ ہوگی جو شخص اس کی نہر میں داخل ہوجائے گا اس کا اجر ضائع اور وبال پختہ ہوجائے گا اور جو شخص اس کی آگ میں داخل ہوگا اس کا اجر پختہ اور گناہ معاف ہوجائیں گے میں نے پوچھا پھر کیا ہوگا؟ فرمایا اگر تمہارے گھوڑے نے بچہ دیا تو اس کے بچے پر سوار ہونے کی نوبت نہیں آئے گی کہ قیامت قائم ہوجائے گی۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ أَبي التَّيَّاحِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ صَخْرًا يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ سُبيْعٍ ، قَالَ: أَرْسَلُونِي مِنْ مَاءٍ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ أَشْتَرِي الدَّوَاب، فَأَتَيْنَا الْكُنَاسَةَ، فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ جَمْعٌ، قَالَ: فَأَمَّا صَاحِبي، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى الدَّوَاب، وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَأَتَيْتُهُ، فَإِذَا هُوَ حُذَيْفَةُ ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: كَانَ أَصْحَاب رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنِ الْخَيْرِ وَأَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلْ بعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ شَرٌّ كَمَا كَانَ قَبلَهُ شَرٌّ؟ قَالَ:" نَعَمْ"، قُلْتُ: فَمَا الْعِصْمَةُ مِنْهُ؟ قَالَ: " السَّيْفُ"، أَحْسَب أَبو التَّيَّاحِ، يَقُولُ: السَّيْفُ أَحْسَب قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثُمَّ تَكُونُ هُدْنَةٌ عَلَى دَخَنٍ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثُمَّ تَكُونُ دُعَاةُ الضَّلَالَةِ، فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَلِيفَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَالْزَمْهُ، وَإِنْ نَهَكَ جِسْمَكَ وَأَخَذَ مَالَكَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَرَهُ فَاهْرَب فِي الْأَرْضِ، وَلَوْ أَنْ تَمُوتَ وَأَنْتَ عَاضٌّ بجِذْلِ شَجَرَةٍ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فِبمَ يَجِيءُ بهِ مَعَهُ؟ قَالَ:" بنَهَرٍ، أَوْ قَالَ: مَاءٍ وَنَارٍ، فَمَنْ دَخَلَ نَهْرَهُ حُطَّ أَجْرُهُ وَوَجَب وِزْرُهُ، وَمَنْ دَخَلَ نَارَهُ وَجَب أَجْرُهُ وَحُطَّ وِزْرُهُ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" لَوْ أَنْتَجْتَ فَرَسًا لَمْ تَرْكَب فَلُوَّهَا حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ" ..

`Abd us-Samad narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Abu At-Tayyah narrated to me, narrated to me Thaur bin Yazid, from Shaqr bin Badr Al-`Ijli, from Subay` bin Khalid Ad-Dabbi, so he mentioned a similar meaning, and said: "And his reward was decreased and his burden was made light." He said: "Even though he broke your back and took your wealth."

ہمیں عبدالصمد نے حدیث بیان کی، مجھے میرے والد نے حدیث بیان کی، مجھے ابو التیاح نے حدیث بیان کی، مجھے صخر بن بدر عجلی نے حدیث بیان کی، سبیع بن خالد الضبعی سے، پس انہوں نے اسی طرح کا معنی ذکر کیا، اور کہا: "اور اس کا اجر گھٹا دیا گیا اور اس کا بوجھ کم کر دیا گیا"، کہا: "اگرچہ اس نے تمہاری کمر تھکا دی ہو اور تمہارا مال لے لیا ہو"۔

Hamein AbdusSamad ne hadees bayaan ki, mujhe mere walid ne hadees bayaan ki, mujhe Abu al-Tayyah ne hadees bayaan ki, mujhe Sakhr bin Badr Ajli ne hadees bayaan ki, Subay' bin Khalid al-Dubai'i se, pas unhon ne isi tarah ka mani zikr kya, aur kaha: "Aur iska ajr ghata diya gaya aur iska bojh kam kar diya gaya", kaha: "Agarche isne tumhari kamar thaka di ho aur tumhara maal le liya ho".

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah, from Sakhr, from Sabi' bin Khalid al-Dab'i, so he mentioned, and said: "Even if it has broken your back and eaten your wealth," and said: "And his reward has been diminished and his burden has been lightened."

Khalid bin Khalid Yashkari says that when the conquest happened, he left from there and reached Kufa. When I entered the mosque, there was a circle formed there, so it felt like their heads had been cut off. They were listening to a man's talk with great attention. I went and stood near them. At that moment, another man came and stood beside me. I asked him who these gentlemen were. He asked me if I were from Basra. I said yes! He said that he had already understood that if you were from Kufa, you would not ask questions about these gentlemen. These are Hazrat Hudhaifa bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him). When I approached them, I heard them say that people used to ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about good things, and I used to ask about bad things because I knew that good could not leave me behind. One day, I presented myself in the court of Prophethood and asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Will there be evil after this good?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Hudhaifa! Learn the Book of Allah and follow its commands." (He repeated this three times). I asked my question again, "O Messenger of Allah! Will there be evil after this good?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said three times, "Hudhaifa! Learn the Book of Allah and follow its commands." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Will there be evil after this good?" خالد بن خالد یشکری کہتے ہیں کہ تستر جس زمانے میں فتح ہوا میں وہاں سے نکل کر کوفہ پہنچا میں مسجد میں داخل ہوا تو وہاں ایک حلقہ لگا ہوا تھا یوں محسوس ہوتا تھا کہ ان کے سر کاٹ دیئے گئے ہیں وہ ایک آدمی کی حدیث کو بڑی توجہ سے سن رہے تھے میں ان کے پاس جا کر کھڑا ہوگیا اسی دوران ایک اور آدمی آیا اور میرے پہلو میں کھڑا ہوگیا میں نے اس سے پوچھا کہ یہ صاحب کون ہیں؟ اس نے مجھ سے پوچھا کیا آپ بصرہ کے رہنے والے ہیں میں نے کہا جی ہاں! اس نے کہا کہ میں پہلے ہی سمجھ گیا تھا کہ اگر آپ کوفی ہوتے تو ان صاحب کے متعلق سوال نہ کرتے یہ حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں۔ میں ان کے قریب گیا تو انہیں یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ سے خیر کے متعلق سوال کرتے تھے اور میں شر کے متعلق کیونکہ میں جانتا تھا کہ خیر مجھے چھوڑ کر آگے نہیں جاسکتی ایک دن میں نے بارگاہ رسالت میں عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہوگا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا حذیفہ! کتاب اللہ کو سیکھو اور اس کے احکام کی پیروی کرو (تین مرتبہ فرمایا میں نے پھر اپنا سوال دہرایا نبی کریم، ﷺ نے فرمایا فتنہ اور شر ہوگا میں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہوگا نبی کریم ﷺ نے تین مرتبہ فرمایا حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ! کتاب اللہ کو سیکھو اور اس کے احکام کی پیروی کرو میں نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کیا اس خیر کے بعد شر ہوگا؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا دھوئیں پر صلح قائم ہوگی اور گندگی پر اتفاق ہوگا میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! دھوئیں پر صلح قائم ہونے سے کیا مراد ہے؟ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا لوگ اس صلح پر دل سے راضی نہیں ہوں گے۔ پھر میرے اور نبی کریم ﷺ کے درمیان وہی سوال جواب ہوئے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ایک ایسا فتنہ آئے گا جو اندھا بہرا کر دے گا اس پر جہنم کے دروازوں کی طرف بلانے والے لوگ مقرر ہوں گے اے حذیفہ! اگر تم اس حال میں مرو کہ تم نے کسی درخت کے تنے کو اپنے دانتوں تلے دبا رکھا ہو یہ اس سے بہتر ہوگا کہ تم ان میں سے کسی کی پیروی کرو۔ میں نے پوچھا پھر کیا ہوگا؟ فرمایا پھر دجال کا خروج ہوگا میں نے پوچھا اس کے ساتھ کیا چیز ہوگی؟ فرمایا اس کے ساتھ نہر یا پانی اور آگ ہوگی جو شخص اس کی نہر میں داخل ہوجائے گا اس کا اجر ضائع اور وبال پختہ ہوجائے گا اور جو شخص اس کی آگ میں داخل ہوگا اس کا اجر پختہ اور گناہ معاف ہوجائیں گے میں نے پوچھا پھر کیا ہوگا؟ فرمایا اگر تمہارے گھوڑے نے بچہ دیا تو اس کے بچے پر سوار ہونے کی نوبت نہیں آئے گی کہ قیامت قائم ہوجائے گی۔

Khalid bin Khalid Yaskari kahte hain ki Tastar jis zamane mein fatah hua mein wahan se nikal kar Kufa pohancha mein masjid mein dakhil hua to wahan ek halqa laga hua tha yun mehsoos hota tha ki unke sar kaat diye gaye hain wo ek aadmi ki hadees ko badi tawajjo se sun rahe the mein unke pass ja kar khara hogaya usi dauran ek aur aadmi aaya aur mere pahlu mein khara hogaya mein ne us se poocha ki yeh sahab kon hain? usne mujh se poocha kya aap Basra ke rahne wale hain mein ne kaha ji haan! usne kaha ki mein pehle hi samajh gaya tha ki agar aap Kufi hote to in sahab ke mutalliq sawal na karte yeh Hazrat Huzaifa bin Yaman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) hain. Mein unke qareeb gaya to unhen yeh kahte huye suna ki log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se khair ke mutalliq sawal karte the aur mein shar ke mutalliq kyunki mein janta tha ki khair mujhe chhor kar aage nahin ja sakti ek din mein ne bargah risalat mein arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah! kya is khair ke baad shar hoga? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Huzaifa! Kitab Allah ko seekho aur uske ahkam ki pairawi karo (teen martaba farmaya mein ne phir apna sawal dohraya Nabi Kareem, (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya fitna aur shar hoga mein ne poocha Ya Rasul Allah! kya is khair ke baad shar hoga Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne teen martaba farmaya Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ! Kitab Allah ko seekho aur uske ahkam ki pairawi karo mein ne poocha Ya Rasul Allah! kya is khair ke baad shar hoga? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya dhuen par sulh qaim hogi aur gandagi par ittefaq hoga mein ne arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah! dhuen par sulh qaim hone se kya murad hai? Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya log is sulh par dil se razi nahin honge. Phir mere aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke darmiyan wohi sawal jawab huye aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ek aisa fitna aayega jo andha bahra kar dega is par jahannam ke darwazon ki taraf bulane wale log muqarrar honge aye Huzaifa! agar tum is hal mein maro ki tumne kisi darakht ke tane ko apne danton tale daba rakha ho yeh is se behtar hoga ki tum in mein se kisi ki pairawi karo. Mein ne poocha phir kya hoga? farmaya phir Dajjal ka khurooj hoga mein ne poocha iske sath kya cheez hogi? farmaya iske sath nahar ya pani aur aag hogi jo shakhs is ki nahar mein dakhil hojaega uska ajr zaya aur waabal pakka hojaega aur jo shakhs iski aag mein dakhil hoga uska ajr pakka aur gunah maaf hojaenge mein ne poocha phir kya hoga? farmaya agar tumhare ghore ne bachcha diya to uske bachche par sawar hone ki nobat nahin aaegi ki qayamat qaim hojaegi.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ نَصْرِ بنِ عَاصِمٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بنِ خَالِدٍ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ ، قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ زَمَانَ فُتِحَتْ تُسْتَرُ حَتَّى قَدِمْتُ الْكُوفَةَ، فَدَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بحَلْقَةٍ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ صَدَعٌ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ، حَسَنُ الثَّغْرِ، يُعْرَفُ فِيهِ أَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ أَهْلِ الْحِجَازِ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ الرَّجُلُ؟ فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ: أَوَ مَا تَعْرِفُهُ؟ فَقُلْتُ: لَا، فَقَالُوا: هَذَا حُذَيْفَةُ بنُ الْيَمَانِ صَاحِب رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَقَعَدْتُ وَحَدَّثَ الْقَوْمَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوا يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْخَيْرِ، وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ الْقَوْمُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: إِنِّي سَأُخْبرُكُمْ بمَا أَنْكَرْتُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، جَاءَ الْإِسْلَامُ حِينَ جَاءَ، فَجَاءَ أَمْرٌ لَيْسَ كَأَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، وَكُنْتُ قَدْ أُعْطِيتُ فِي الْقُرْآنِ فَهْمًا، فَكَانَ رِجَالٌ يَجِيئُونَ فَيَسْأَلُونَ عَنِ الْخَيْرِ، فَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيَكُونُ بعْدَ هَذَا الْخَيْرِ شَرٌّ كَمَا كَانَ قَبلَهُ شَرٌّ؟ فَقَالَ:" نَعَمْ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَمَا الْعِصْمَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " السَّيْفُ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَهَلْ بعْدَ هَذَا السَّيْفِ بقِيَّةٌ؟ قَالَ:" نَعَمْ، تَكُونَ إِمَارَةٌ عَلَى أَقْذَاءٍ، وَهُدْنَةٌ عَلَى دَخَنٍ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثُمَّ تَنْشَأُ دُعَاةُ الضَّلَالَةِ، فَإِنْ كَانَ لِلَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةٌ جَلَدَ ظَهْرَكَ، وَأَخَذَ مَالَكَ، فَالْزَمْهُ، وَإِلَّا فَمُتْ وَأَنْتَ عَاضٌّ عَلَى جِذْلِ شَجَرَةٍ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثِمَ يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ بعْدَ ذَلِكَ مَعَهُ نَهَرٌ وَنَارٌ، مَنْ وَقَعَ فِي نَارِهِ وَجَب أَجْرُهُ وَحُطَّ وِزْرُهُ، وَمَنْ وَقَعَ فِي نَهَرِهِ وَجَب وِزْرُهُ وَحُطَّ أَجْرُهُ"، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ:" ثُمَّ يُنْتَجُ الْمُهْرُ فَلَا يُرْكَب حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ" ، الصَّدْعُ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ: الضَّرْب، وَقَوْلُهُ:" فَمَا الْعِصْمَةُ مِنْهُ؟" قَالَ: السَّيْفُ، كَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَضَعُهُ عَلَى الرِّدَّةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ فِي زَمَنِ أَبي بكْرٍ، وَقَوْلُهُ:" إِمَارَةٌ عَلَى أَقْذَاءٍ" يقول: علي قذى ," وَهُدْنَةٌ" يَقُولُ: صُلْحٌ، وَقَوْلُهُ:" عَلَى دَخَنٍ" يَقُولُ: عَلَى ضَغَائِنَ، قِيلَ لِعَبدِ الرَّزَّاقِ: مِمَّنْ التَّفْسِيرُ؟ قَالَ: منْ قَتَادَةَ , زعَمَ..

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that one day he said, "O people! Why don't you ask me? People used to ask the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about good, and I used to ask about evil. Surely, Allah Almighty sent His Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He invited people from disbelief to faith, called them from misguidance to guidance. Whoever wanted to obey him accepted this invitation, and by the blessings of truth, dead things came to life, and by the evil of falsehood, living things also died. Then the era of Prophethood ended, so the Caliphate was established upon the methodology of Prophethood."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے حوالے سے مروی ہے کہ ایک دن انہوں نے فرمایا اے لوگو! تم مجھ سے پوچھتے کیوں نہیں ہو؟ لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ سے خیر کے متعلق پوچھتے تھے اور میں شر کے متعلق پوچھتا تھا بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی کریم ﷺ کو مبعوث فرمایا انہوں نے لوگوں کو کفر سے ایمان کی دعوت دی گمراہی سے ہدایت کی طرف بلایا جس نے ان کی بات ماننی تھی سو اس نے یہ دعوت قبول کرلی اور حق کی برکت سے مردہ چیزیں زندہ ہوگئیں اور باطل کی نحوست سے زندہ چیزیں بھی مردہ ہوگئیں پھر نبوت کا دور ختم ہوا تو خلافت علی منہاج النبوۃ قائم ہوئی۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke hawale se marvi hai ki ek din unhon ne farmaya aye logon tum mujh se puchte kyun nahi ho log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se khair ke mutalliq puchte the aur main shar ke mutalliq puchta tha beshak Allah Ta'ala ne apne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko mab'oos farmaya unhon ne logon ko kufr se imaan ki dawat di gumrahi se hidayat ki taraf bulaya jis ne un ki baat manni thi so us ne ye dawat qubool kar li aur haq ki barkat se murda cheezen zinda ho gayin aur baatil ki نحوست se zinda cheezen bhi murda ho gayin phir nubawwat ka daur khatam hua to khilafat ala minhaj al-nubuwwah qa'im hui.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا بكَّارٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي خَلَّادُ بنُ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبا الطُّفَيْلِ يُحَدِّثُ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ حُذَيْفَةَ بنَ الْيَمَانٍِ ، يَقُولُ:" يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، أَلَا تَسْأَلُونِي؟ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوا يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْخَيْرِ، وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ بعَثَ نَبيَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ، فَدَعَا النَّاسَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ، وَمِنْ الضَّلَالَةِ إِلَى الْهُدَى، فَاسْتَجَاب لَه مَنْ اسْتَجَاب، فَحَيَّ مِنَ الْحَقِّ مَا كَانَ مَيْتًا، وَمَاتَ مِنَ الْباطِلِ مَا كَانَ حَيًّا، ثُمَّ ذَهَبتْ النُّبوَّةُ، فَكَانَتْ الْخِلَافَةُ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبوَّةِ" .

Thalaba ibn Zahdam said: We were once with Sa'eed ibn 'Aas, may Allah be pleased with him, in Tabaristan. He asked the people, "Who among you has prayed the Salat al-Khawf (prayer of fear) with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?" Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "I have." So he commanded the people, and they put on their weapons. Then Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "If the enemy attacks you suddenly, it is permissible for you to fight." Then he made one group pray one rak'ah (unit of prayer). One row stood facing the enemy. Then these people went back to their places behind those facing the enemy, and those people came and stood behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, led them in the second rak'ah. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, finished the prayer.

ثعلبہ بن زہدم کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ طبرستان میں حضرت سعید بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہ کے ہمراہ تھے انہوں نے لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ تم میں سے نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ صلوۃ الخوف کس نے پڑھی ہے؟ حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا میں نے پھر انہوں نے لوگوں کو حکم دیا چناچہ انہوں نے اسلحہ پہن لیا پھر حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا اگر دشمن اچانک تم پر حملہ کر دے تو تمہارے لئے لڑنا جائز ہے پھر انہوں نے ایک گروہ کو ایک رکعت پڑھائی۔ ایک صف دشمن کے سامنے کھڑی رہی پھر یہ لوگ دشمن کے سامنے ڈٹے ہوئے لوگوں کی جگہ الٹے پاؤں چلے گئے اور وہ لوگ ان کی جگہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیچھے آکر کھڑے ہوگئے اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے انہیں دوسری رکعت پڑھائی پھر نبی کریم ﷺ نے سلام پھیر دیا۔

Sa'laba bin Zahad kahte hain ki ek martaba hum log Tabristan mein Hazrat Saeed bin Aas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke humrah the, unhon ne logon se poocha ki tum mein se Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath Salatul Khauf kis ne padhi hai? Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya mein ne, phir unhon ne logon ko hukum diya chunancha unhon ne aslaha pehen liya, phir Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya agar dushman achanak tum par hamla kar de to tumhare liye larna jaiz hai phir unhon ne ek giroh ko ek rakat padhayi. Ek saf dushman ke samne khadi rahi phir ye log dushman ke samne datey huye logon ki jagah ulte paon chale gaye aur wo log unki jagah Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche aakar khade ho gaye aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhein doosri rakat padhayi phir Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne salaam pher diya.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ كَانَ مَعَ سَعِيدِ بنِ الْعَاصِ فِي غَزْوَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا: غَزْوَةُ الْخَشَب، وَمَعَهُ حُذَيْفَةُ بنُ الْيَمَانِ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ: أَيُّكُمْ شَهِدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ؟ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : أَنَا، قَالَ: فَأَمَرَهُمْ حُذَيْفَةُ فَلَبسُوا السِّلَاحَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنْ هَاجَكُمْ هَيْجٌ فَقَدْ حَلَّ لَكُمْ الْقِتَالُ، قَالَ: " فَصَلَّى بإِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَةً، وَالطَّائِفَةُ الْأُخْرَى مُوَاجِهَةَ الْعَدُوِّ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ هَؤُلَاءِ، فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ أُولَئِكَ، وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلَّى بهِمْ رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Hudhaifa bin Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him, that I heard the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "A slanderer will not enter Paradise."

حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ چغلخور جنت میں داخل نہ ہوگا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa bin Yaman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki chuglkhor jannat mein dakhil na hoga.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ حُذَيْفَةَ فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالُوا: إِنَّ هَذَا يُبلِّغُ الْأُمَرَاءَ الْأَحَادِيثَ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَتَّاتٌ" .

Narrated by Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the tribe of Mudar will not leave a single righteous servant of Allah on earth without putting him through trials and tribulations and destroying him, until Allah sends His army upon them, which will humiliate them and leave them with no refuge, not even the foot of a hill. A man said to him, "O servant of Allah! You say this even though you yourself belong to the tribe of Mudar?" He replied, "I am only saying what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has said."

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ قبیلہ مضر زمین پر اللہ کا کوئی نیک بندہ ایسا نہیں چھوڑے گا جسے وہ فتنے میں نہ ڈال دے اور اسے ہلاک نہ کر دے حتی کہ اللہ اس پر اپنا ایک لشکر مسلط کر دے گا جو اسے ذلیل کر دے گا اور اسے کسی ٹیلے کا دامن بھی نہ بچا سکے گا، ایک آدمی نے ان سے کہا بندہ خدا! آپ یہ بات کہہ رہے ہیں حالانکہ آپ تو خود قبیلہ مضر سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں تو وہی بات کہہ رہا ہوں جو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمائی ہے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ki qabeela Muzar zameen par Allah ka koi nek banda aisa nahi chhore ga jise wo fitne mein na daal de aur use halaak na kar de hatta ki Allah us par apna ek lashkar musallat kar de ga jo use zaleel kar de ga aur use kisi teile ka daman bhi na bacha sake ga, ek aadmi ne un se kaha banda Khuda! Aap ye baat keh rahe hain halan ki aap to khud qabeela Muzar se taluq rakhte hain? Unhon ne farmaya ki main to wohi baat keh raha hun jo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaai hai.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الْجَبارِ بنُ الْعَباسِ الشَّامِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبي قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ عَبدُ الْجَبارِ: أُرَاهُ عَنْ هُزَيْلٍ، قَالَ: قَامَ حُذَيْفَةُ خَطِيبا فِي دَارِ عَامِرِ بنِ حَنْظَلَةَ، فِيهَا التَّمِيمِيُّ، وَالْمُضَرِيُّ، فَقَالَ: " لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى مُضَرَ يَوْمٌ لَا يَدَعُونَ لِلَّهِ عَبدًا يَعْبدُهُ إِلَّا قَتَلُوهُ، أَوْ لَيُضْرَبنَّ ضَرْبا لَا يَمْنَعُونَ ذَنَب تَلْعَةٍ"، أَوْ" أَسْفَلَ تَلْعَةٍ"، فَقِيلَ: يَا أَبا عَبدِ اللَّهِ، تَقُولُ هَذَا لِقَوْمِكَ، أَوْ لِقَوْمٍ أَنْتَ يَعْنِي مِنْهُمْ؟! قَالَ: لَا أَقُولُ يَعْنِي إِلَّا مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ .

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once my mother asked me since when I have been associated with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? I told her an estimate. She started rebuking me severely. I told her, "Stay back, I am going to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I will pray Maghrib with him and I will not leave him until he prays for forgiveness for me and you." So I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and prayed Maghrib with him. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed Isha and went back [home].

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ مجھ سے میری والدہ نے پوچھا کہ تم نبی کریم ﷺ کے ساتھ کب سے وابستہ ہو؟ میں نے انہیں اس کا اندازہ بتادیا وہ مجھے سخت سست اور برا بھلا کہنے لگیں میں نے ان سے کہا کہ پیچھے ہٹیں میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس جا رہا ہوں مغرب کی نماز ان کے ساتھ پڑھوں گا اور اس وقت تک انہیں چھوڑوں گا نہیں جب تک وہ میرے اور آپ کے لئے استغفار نہ کریں۔ چنانچہ میں نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور ان کے ساتھ مغرب کی نماز پڑھی اس کے بعد نبی کریم ﷺ نے عشاء کی نماز پڑھائی اور واپس چلے گئے۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba mujhse meri walida ne poocha ki tum Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath kab se wabista ho? Maine unhen iska andaza batdiya woh mujhe sakht sust aur bura bhala kehne lagi. Maine unse kaha ki peeche haten main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas ja raha hun maghrib ki namaz unke sath padhunga aur us waqt tak unhen chhodunga nahi jab tak woh mere aur aap ke liye istighfar na karen. Chunancha main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur unke sath maghrib ki namaz padhi. Uske baad Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne isha ki namaz padhai aur wapas chale gaye.

حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بنُ الْحُباب ، أَخْبرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، أَخْبرَنِي مَيْسَرَةُ بنُ حَبيب ، عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بنِ حُبيْشٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ قَالَتْ لِي أُمِّي: مَتَى عَهْدُكَ بالنَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: مَا لِي بهِ عَهْدٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا، قَالَ: فَهَمَّتْ بي، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّهْ، دَعِينِي حَتَّى أَذْهَب إِلَى النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَا أَدَعُهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي وَيَسْتَغْفِرَ لَكِ، قَالَ: فَجِئْتُهُ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِب،" فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ قَامَ يُصَلِّي، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ" .

Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade wearing silk and Dibaj (a type of silk fabric) and using gold and silver utensils, saying that these things are for the disbelievers in this world, and for us in the Hereafter.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ریشم و دیبا پہننے سے اور سونے چاندی کے برتن استعمال کرنے سے منع کرتے ہوئے فرمایا ہے کہ یہ چیزیں دنیا میں کافروں کے لئے ہیں اور آخرت میں ہمارے لئے ہیں۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne resham o diba pehenne se aur sone chandi ke bartan istemal karne se mana karte hue farmaya hai ki ye cheezen duniya mein kafiro ke liye hain aur akhirat mein hamare liye hain.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبدُ الْعَزِيزِ بنُ عَبدِ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بنِ أَبي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَشْرَب فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَب وَالْفِضَّةِ، وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا، وَأَنْ نَلْبسَ الْحَرِيرَ وَالدِّيباجَ، وَقَالَ: " هِيَ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَلَكُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ" .

It is narrated on the authority of Huzaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Whoever makes a promise to his brother, not intending to fulfill it, it is as if he has handed over his neighbor to an insignificant person.".

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے جو شخص اپنے بھائی سے کوئی وعدہ کرے جسے پورا نہ کرنے کا اس کا کوئی ارادہ نہ ہو تو یہ ایسے ہے جیسے کوئی شخص اپنے پڑوسی کو ایک ایسے شخص کے حوالے کر دے جس کی کوئی اہمیت نہ ہو۔

Hazrat Huzaifa raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ki maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai jo shakhs apne bhai se koi waada kare jise pora na karne ka uska koi irada na ho to ye aise hai jaise koi shakhs apne padosi ko ek aise shakhs ke hawale kar de jiski koi ehmiyat na ho.

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بنِ عَابسٍ ، عَنْ أَبيهٍِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ شَرَطَ لِأَخِيهِ شَرْطًا لَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَفِيَ لَهُ بهِ، فَهُوَ كَالْمُدْلِي جَارَهُ إِلَى غَيْرِ مَنَعَةٍ" .

Huzaifa Radi Allahu Anhu narrates that the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: I know more than the Dajjal himself about what will happen to him. There will be two flowing canals with him, one will appear to be of white water and the other of blazing fire. If any one of you finds himself in that time, then he should go to the canal which appears to him as fire and should dive into it and should put his head into it and drink its water because it will be cold water. And the left eye of Dajjal will be poked out and there will be a thick nail on it and between both of his eyes will be written ‘Kaafir’ (disbeliever) which every literate and illiterate Muslim will be able to read.

حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا میں یہ بات دجال سے بھی زیادہ جانتا ہوں کہ اس کے ساتھ کیا ہوگا اس کے ساتھ بہتی ہوئی دو نہریں ہوں گی جن میں سے ایک دیکھنے میں سفید پانی کی ہوگی اور دوسری دیکھنے میں بھڑکتی ہوگی اگر تم میں سے کوئی شخص اس دور کو پائے تو اس نہر میں داخل ہوجائے جو اسے آگ نظر آرہی ہو اس میں غوطہ زنی کرے پھر سر جھکا کر اس کا پانی پی لے کیونکہ وہ ٹھنڈا پانی ہوگا اور دجال کی بائیں آنکھ کسی نے پونچھ دی ہوگی اس پر ایک موٹا ناخنہ ہوگا اور اس کی دونوں آنکھوں کے درمیان " کافر " لکھا ہوگا جسے ہر کاتب وغیر کاتب مسلمان پڑھ لے گا۔

Hazrat Huzaifa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya mein yeh baat Dajjal se bhi zyada janta hun ki uske sath kya hoga uske sath behti hui do nahrein hongi jin mein se ek dekhne mein safed pani ki hogi aur dusri dekhne mein bhadakti hogi agar tum mein se koi shakhs us daur ko paye to us nahar mein dakhil ho jaye jo use aag nazar aa rahi ho us mein ghota zani kare phir sar jhuka kar uska pani pi le kyunki woh thanda pani hoga aur Dajjal ki bayen aankh kisi ne ponchh di hogi us par ek mota nakhuna hoga aur uski donon aankhon ke darmiyan "Kafir" likha hoga jise har katib-o-ghayr katib musalman parh le ga.

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبو مَالِكٍ سَعِيدُ بنُ طَارِقٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي رِبعِيُّ بنُ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بنِ الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ بمَا مَعَ الدَّجَّالِ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ، مَعَهُ نَهَرَانِ يَجْرِيَانِ: أَحَدُهُمَا رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ مَاءٌ أَبيَضُ، وَالْآخَرُ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ نَارٌ تَأَجَّجُ، فَإِمَّا أَدْرَكَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ، فَلْيَأْتِ النَّهَرَ الَّذِي يَرَاهُ نَارًا، وَلْيُغْمِضْ ثُمَّ لِيُطَأْطِئْ رَأْسَهُ فَلْيَشْرَب، فَإِنَّهُ مَاءٌ بارِدٌ، وَإِنَّ الدَّجَّالَ مَمْسُوحُ الْعَيْنِ الْيُسْرَى، عَلَيْهَا ظَفَرَةٌ غَلِيظَةٌ، وَفِيهِ مَكْتُوب بيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ: كَافِرٌ، يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ كَاتِب وَغَيْرُ كَاتِب" .
