Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There used to be Muhaddithun (inspired persons) among the peoples who lived before you. If there were to be any such Muhaddith in my Ummah, it would be Umar b Khattab. Agreed upon.

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ تم سے پہلی امتوں میں محدث (جنہیں الہام ہوتا ہو) ہوا کرتے تھے ، اگر میری امت میں کوئی شخص (محدث) ہوتا تو وہ عمر ہیں ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Hurairah RA bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Tum se pehli umaton mein muhaddis (jinhen ilham hota ho) hua karte thay, agar meri ummat mein koi shakhs (muhaddis) hota to woh Umar hain.'' Muttafiq alaih.
Sa'd bin Abi Waqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). At that time, there were some women of the Quraysh (his pure wives) with him, and they were talking to him in a loud voice and asking him for an increase in their provision and expenses. When 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked for permission, they stood up and quickly went behind the curtain. 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) entered while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was smiling. He said, "O Messenger of Allah! May Allah always keep you happy." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I am amazed at them. They were with me, but when they heard your voice, they immediately observed Hijab." 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O enemies of yourselves! You fear me but you do not fear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" They said, "Yes, you are harsh and hard-hearted." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Ibn Al-Khattab! Say something more. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if Satan were to find you on a path, he would leave that path and take a different route." (Agreed upon)
And Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that Al-Barqani added the words "Ma Adhhaka" (What made you laugh?) after the words "Ya Rasulullah" (O Messenger of Allah).

سعد بن ابی وقاص ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، عمر بن خطاب ؓ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آنے کی اجازت طلب کی ، اس وقت آپ کے پاس قریش کی چند خواتین (آپ کی ازواج مطہرات) تھیں ، وہ آپ سے بلند آواز میں گفتگو کر رہیں تھیں اور آپ سے نان و نفقہ میں اضافے کا مطالبہ کر رہی تھیں ، جب عمر ؓ نے اجازت طلب کی تو وہ کھڑی ہوئیں اور جلدی سے پردے میں چلی گئیں ، عمر ؓ تشریف لائے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ ہنس رہے تھے ، انہوں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! اللہ آپ کو سدا خوش رکھے ۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ مجھے ان پر تعجب ہے کہ وہ میرے پاس تھیں ، جب انہوں نے آپ کی آواز سنی تو وہ فوراً حجاب میں چلی گئیں ۔‘‘ عمر ؓ نے فرمایا : اپنی جان کی دشمنو ! تم مجھ سے ڈرتی ہو لیکن رسول اللہ ﷺ سے نہیں ڈرتی ہو ، انہوں نے فرمایا : ہاں ، آپ سخت مزاج اور سخت دل ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ابن خطاب ! اور کچھ کہو ، اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے ! شیطان تمہیں کسی راستے پر چلتا مل جاتا ہے تو وہ اس راستے کو چھوڑ کر کسی دوسرے راستے پر چل پڑتا ہے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔\nاور امام حمیدی ؒ بیان کرتے ہیں ، برقانی نے ’’یا رسول اللہ‘‘ کے الفاظ کے بعد ’’ما أضحک‘‘ ’’آپ کو کس چیز نے ہنسایا‘‘ کے الفاظ کا اضافہ کیا ہے ۔\n
Sad bin Abi Waqas bayan karte hain, Umar bin Khattab ne Rasul Allah ke paas aane ki ijazat talab ki, is waqt aap ke paas Quresh ki chand khawateen (aap ki azwaj mutahirat) thin, woh aap se buland aawaz mein guftugu kar rahi thin aur aap se naan o nafaqa mein izafe ka mutalba kar rahi thin, jab Umar ne ijazat talab ki to woh khari huin aur jaldi se parde mein chali gain, Umar tashreef laaye to Rasul Allah hans rahe the, unhon ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasul! Allah aap ko sada khush rakhe. Nabi ne farmaya: "Mujhe in par ta'ajjub hai ki woh mere paas thin, jab unhon ne aap ki aawaz suni to woh foran hijab mein chali gain." Umar ne farmaya: Apni jaan ki dushmanon! Tum mujh se darti ho lekin Rasul Allah se nahi darti ho, unhon ne farmaya: Haan, aap sakht mizaj aur sakht dil hain, Rasul Allah ne farmaya: "Ibn Khattab! Aur kuch kaho, is zaat ki qasam jis ke haath mein meri jaan hai! Shaitan tumhein kisi raste par chalta mil jata hai to woh us raste ko chhor kar kisi dusre raste par chal parta hai." Mutaffiq alaih.
Aur Imam Hamidi bayan karte hain, Barqani ne "Ya Rasul Allah" ke alfaz ke baad "ma azhhak" "aap ko kis cheez ne hansaya" ke alfaz ka izafa kiya hai.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I entered Paradise (on the night of the Ascension) and saw Rumaysa, the wife of Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him). I heard the sound of footsteps and asked, 'Who is this?' It was said, 'This is Bilal.' I saw a palace with a young woman in its courtyard. I asked, 'Whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It is for Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).' I intended to enter and see him, but then I remembered your sense of jealousy." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you! How could I possibly feel jealous of you?" (Agreed upon)

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ (معراج کی رات) میں جنت میں داخل ہوا تو میں نے ابوطلحہ ؓ کی اہلیہ رمیصاء کو دیکھا (نیز) میں نے قدموں کی آواز سنی تو میں نے پوچھا ، یہ کون ہے ؟ انہوں نے بتایا : یہ بلال ہیں ، میں نے ایک محل دیکھا ، اس کے صحن میں ایک لونڈی دیکھی ، میں نے پوچھا :’’ یہ (محل) کس کے لیے ہے ؟‘‘ انہوں نے بتایا ، عمر بن خطاب ؓ کے لیے ہے ، میں نے اس کے اندر داخل ہونے کا ارادہ کیا تا کہ میں اسے دیکھ سکوں ، لیکن مجھے تمہاری غیرت یاد آ گئی ۔‘‘ عمر ؓ نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! میرے والدین آپ پر قربان ہوں ، کیا میں آپ سے غیرت کروں گا ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Jibir bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: "(Miraj ki raat) mein Jannat mein dakhil hua to mein ne Abu Talha ki ahliya Rameesa ko dekha (neez) mein ne qadmon ki aawaz suni to mein ne poocha, yeh kaun hai? Unhon ne bataya: Yeh Bilal hain, mein ne ek mahal dekha, is ke sahan mein ek laundi dekhi, mein ne poocha: ''Yeh (mahal) kis ke liye hai?'' Unhon ne bataya, Umar bin Khattab ke liye hai, mein ne is ke andar dakhil hone ka irada kiya ta keh mein use dekh sakoon, lekin mujhe tumhari ghairat yaad aa gai." Umar ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Mere walidain aap par qurban hon, kya mein aap se ghairat karoon ga. Muttafiq alaih.
Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "I was sleeping and I saw that the people were presented before me and they were wearing shirts. The shirt of one of them reached his chest, while the shirt of another was shorter than that. `Umar bin Al-Khattab was brought to me and his shirt was so long that he was dragging it (while walking)." They (the Companions) said, "O Messenger of Allah! What did you interpret this to be?" He (ﷺ) said, "(This represents) the religion." (Sunan Abi Dawud 4402)

ابوسعید ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ میں سو رہا تھا کہ میں نے لوگوں کو دیکھا کہ وہ میرے سامنے پیش کیے گئے ہیں ، ان پر قمیصیں تھیں ، ان میں سے کسی کی قمیص سینے تک پہنچتی تھی ، کسی کی اس سے چھوٹی تھی ، عمر بن خطاب ؓ مجھ پر پیش کیے گئے ، ان پر جو قمیص تھی وہ (چلتے وقت) اسے گھسیٹتے تھے ۔‘‘ صحابہ ؓ نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! آپ نے اس کی کیا تاویل فرمائی ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ (اس سے) دین مراد ہے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abusaid bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Main so raha tha keh maine logon ko dekha keh woh mere samne pesh kiye gaye hain, un par qamisen thin, in mein se kisi ki qamis sine tak pahunchti thi, kisi ki is se chhoti thi, Umar bin Khattab mujh par pesh kiye gaye, un par jo qamis thi woh (chalte waqt) ise ghaseette the.'' Sahaba ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Aap ne is ki kya taweel farmaai hai? Aap ne farmaya: ''(Is se) Deen murad hai.'' Muttafiq alaih.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying, "While I was sleeping, a bowl of milk was brought to me and I drank from it until I saw its effect (of fullness) in my fingernails. Then I gave the rest to Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)." The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How do you interpret this (dream)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "(It represents) knowledge." Agreed upon.

ابن عمر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ میں سویا ہوا تھا تو میرے پاس دودھ کا پیالہ لایا گیا تو میں نے پی لیا حتیٰ کہ سیرابی کا اثر میں نے اپنے ناخنوں میں ظاہر ہوتا دیکھا ، پھر میں نے اپنے سے بچا ہوا عمر بن خطاب ؓ کو عطا کیا :’’ صحابہ نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! آپ نے اس کی کیا تاویل فرمائی ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ علم ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ibn Umar bayan karte hain, main ne Rasool Allah ko farmate huye suna: ''Main soya hua tha to mere pas doodh ka piyala laya gaya to main ne pee liya hatta ke serabi ka asar main ne apne nakhunon mein zahir hota dekha, phir main ne apne se bacha hua Umar bin Khattab ko ata kiya: ''Sahaba ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Aap ne is ki kya taweel farmai? Aap ne farmaya: ''Ilm.'' Mutafaq alaih.
Abu Huraira reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, “While I was sleeping, I saw myself at a well. Upon it was a bucket and I drew from it as much water as Allah willed. Then, Ibn Abi Quhafah (Abu Bakr) took it from me and he drew one or two buckets. There was weakness in his drawing, may Allah forgive his weakness. Then it was replaced for him with a larger bucket and Umar ibn al-Khattab took hold of it. I have never seen such a strong man amongst the people drawing water like Umar until the people watered their flocks.”

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ میں سو رہا تھا کہ میں نے اپنے آپ کو ایک کنویں پر دیکھا ، اس پر ایک ڈول تھا ، جس قدر اللہ نے چاہا میں نے اس سے پانی نکالا ، پھر ابن ابی قحافہ (ابوبکر ؓ) نے اسے حاصل کر لیا ، انہوں نے ایک یا دو ڈول نکالے ، اور ان کے نکالنے میں ضعف تھا ، اللہ ان کے ضعف کو معاف فرمائے ، پھر وہ (ڈول) بڑے ڈول میں بدل گیا ، اور عمر بن خطاب نے اسے پکڑ لیا ، میں نے ایسا طاقت ور آدمی نہیں دیکھا جو عمر ؓ کی طرح ڈول کھینچتا ہو ، حتیٰ کہ لوگوں نے اپنے اونٹوں کو حوض سے سیراب کیا ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, main ne Rasool Allah ko farmate huye suna: ''Main so raha tha ke main ne apne aap ko ek kuen par dekha, us par ek dol tha, jis qadar Allah ne chaha main ne us se pani nikala, phir Ibn Abi Qahafa (Abu Bakr) ne use hasil kar liya, unhon ne ek ya do dol nikale, aur un ke nikalne mein kamzori thi, Allah un ke kamzori ko maaf farmaye, phir woh (dol) bade dol mein badal gaya, aur Umar bin Khattab ne use pakad liya, main ne aisa taqatwar aadmi nahin dekha jo Umar ki tarah dol khenchta ho, hatta ke logon ne apne oonton ko hauz se sirab kiya.'' Mutafaqu alaih.
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Then Abu Bakr took it (the bucket) from him (the owner of the well), and Umar took it from Abu Bakr and it (the bucket) became big in his (Umar's) hand. I have not seen such a chief who works like him till the people quenched their thirst and he also watered their camels from the well.” — Agreed upon.

ابن عمر ؓ سے مروی روایت میں ہے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ پھر ابوبکر کے ہاتھ سے ابن خطاب نے اسے لے لیا تو وہ ان کے ہاتھ میں بڑا ہو گیا ، میں نے ایسا سردار نہیں دیکھا جو ان کی طرح کام کرتا ہو ، حتیٰ کہ لوگ سیراب ہو گئے اور انہوں نے اونٹوں کو بھی حوض سے سیراب کیا ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ibn Umar RA se marvi riwayat mein hai, Aap SAW ne farmaya: ''Phir Abu Bakar ke hath se Ibn Khattab ne use le liya to woh un ke hath mein bada ho gaya, maine aisa sardar nahin dekha jo un ki tarah kaam karta ho, hatta ke log serab ho gaye aur unhon ne oonton ko bhi hauz se serab kya.'' Muttafiq Alaih.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah has made truth flow upon the tongue of Umar and his heart." (Sahih, narrated by al-Tirmidhi)

ابن عمر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ نے حق کو عمر ؓ کی زبان اور ان کے دل پر جاری فرما دیا ہے ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Ibn Umar بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ نے حق کو Umar کی زبان اور ان کے دل پر جاری فرما دیا ہے ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔.
And in Abu Dawud's narration, which is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: "Allah has placed truth on the tongue of Umar, through which he speaks." Sahih (authentic), narrated by Abu Dawud.

اور ابوداؤد کی روایت میں جو کہ ابوذر ؓ سے مروی ہے ، فرمایا :’’ اللہ نے حق کو عمر کی زبان پر رکھ دیا ہے جس کے ذریعے وہ بولتے ہیں ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
aur abudaud ki riwayat mein jo keh abu zar se marvi hai, farmaya: ''Allah ne haq ko umar ki zaban par rakh diya hai jis ke zariye wo bolte hain.'' sahih, rowah abudaud.
Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We do not consider it far-fetched that the soothing words are uttered by Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Sahih, narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Dala'il al-Nubuwwah.

علی ؓ نے فرمایا : ہم اس بات کو بعید نہیں سمجھتے کہ تسکین بخشنے والا کلام عمر ؓ کی زبان پر جاری ہوتا ہے ۔ صحیح ، رواہ البیھقی فی دلائل النبوۃ ۔

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) supplicated, "O Allah! Make Islam dominant through either Abu Jahl bin Hisham or Umar bin Khattab." When morning came, Umar came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the first part of the day and embraced Islam. Then, he prayed openly in the mosque. (This narration is) weak, narrated by Ahmad and Tirmidhi.

ابن عباس ؓ نبی ﷺ سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے دعا فرمائی : اے اللہ ! اسلام کو ابوجہل بن ہشام یا عمر بن خطاب کے ذریعے غلبہ عطا فرما ۔‘‘ صبح ہوئی تو عمر پہلے پہر نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے ، اور اسلام قبول کیا ، پھر آپ نے مسجد میں علانیہ نماز ادا فرمائی ۔ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد و الترمذی ۔
Ibn Abbas RA Nabi SAW se riwayat karte hain, aap SAW ne dua farmaai: Aye Allah! Islam ko Abu Jehal bin Hisham ya Umar bin Khattab ke zariye ghalba ata farma. Subah hui to Umar pehle pahar Nabi SAW ki khidmat mein hazir hue, aur Islam qubool kiya, phir aap ne masjid mein alaniya namaz ada farmaai. Zaeef, Rawah Ahmad o Tirmizi.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him): "O you who are the best of people after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!" Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Listen! If you have said this, then I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'There is no one better than Umar upon whom the sun has risen.'" (Tirmidhi) And he [Tirmidhi] said: "This hadith is gharib (strange/weak)." Its chain of narration is weak. It was narrated by Tirmidhi.

جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، عمر ؓ نے ابوبکر ؓ سے فرمایا : اے وہ انسان جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کے بعد سب سے بہتر شخصیت ہے ! ابوبکر ؓ نے فرمایا : سن لو ! اگر آپ نے یہ بات کی ہے تو میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے :’’ عمر سے بہتر شخص کوئی نہیں جس پر سورج طلوع ہوا ہو ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Jabar bayan karte hain, Umar ne Abu Bakr se farmaya: Aye woh insan jo Rasool Allah ke bad sab se behtar shakhsiyat hai! Abu Bakr ne farmaya: Sun lo! Agar aap ne yeh baat ki hai to main ne Rasool Allah ko farmate huye suna hai: ''Umar se behtar shakhs koi nahin jis par sooraj taloo hua ho.'' Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yeh hadees ghareeb hai. Isnaad-e-zaeef, Rawah Al-Tirmidhi.
Uqbah bin Amir narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said: "If there was to be a Prophet after me, it would have been Umar bin Khattab." Tirmidhi, and he said: This Hadith is Ghareeb. Its chain of narration is Hasan. Narrated by Tirmidhi.

عقبہ بن عامر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اگر میرے بعد کوئی نبی ہوتا تو وہ عمر بن خطاب ہوتے ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Aqba bin Aamir bayan karte hain, Nabi ne farmaya: ''Agar mere baad koi nabi hota to woh Umar bin Khattab hote.'' Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yeh hadees ghareeb hai. Isnaadahu hasan, riwayat al-Tirmidhi.
Baridah (RA) narrates: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out for a battle. When he returned, a black woman came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I had made a vow that if Allah brought you back safe and sound, I would play the tambourine in front of you and sing a song." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to her: “If you vowed, then play the tambourine. And if you did not vow, then do not.” She began to play. Abu Bakr (RA) came, and she kept playing. Then Ali (RA) came, and she kept playing. Then Uthman (RA) came, and she kept playing. Then Umar (RA) came, and she put the tambourine under her hips and sat on it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Umar, even Satan is afraid of you! I was sitting here and she kept playing the tambourine. Abu Bakr came and she kept playing. Then Ali came and she kept playing. Then Uthman came and she kept playing. Then when you came, Umar, she threw the tambourine away." Tirmidhi. And he (Tirmidhi) said: This hadith is hasan sahih gharib.

بریدہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کسی غزوہ کے لیے تشریف لے گئے ، جب آپ واپس ہوئے تو ایک سیاہ فام عورت آپ کے پاس آئی تو اس نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! میں نے نذر مانی تھی کہ اگر اللہ آپ کو صحیح سلامت واپس لے آیا تو میں آپ کے سامنے دف بجاؤں گی اور غزل پڑھوں گی ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اسے فرمایا :’’ اگر تو نے نذر مانی تھی تو پھر دف بجا لے اور اگر نذر نہیں مانی تو پھر نہیں ۔‘‘ وہ بجانے لگی تو ابوبکر ؓ تشریف لائے ، وہ (ان کے آنے پر) بجاتی رہی ، پھر علی ؓ تشریف لائے اور وہ بجاتی رہی ، پھر عثمان ؓ تشریف لائے تو وہ بجاتی رہی ، پھر عمر ؓ تشریف لائے تو اس نے دف اپنے سرین کے نیچے رکھ لی اور اس پر بیٹھ گئی ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ عمر ! شیطان تم سے ڈرتا ہے ، میں بیٹھا ہوا تھا اور وہ دف بجاتی رہی ، ابوبکر آئے تو وہ بجاتی رہی ، پھر علی آئے تو وہ بجاتی رہی ، پھر عثمان آئے تو وہ بجاتی رہی ، عمر جب تم آئے تو اس نے دف پھینک دی ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Barira bayan karte hain, Rasul Allah kisi ghazwa ke liye tashreef le gaye, jab aap wapas huye to ek siyah fam aurat aap ke pass aai to usne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasul! main ne nazr mani thi ke agar Allah aap ko sahih salamat wapas le aaya to main aap ke samne daf bajaunga aur ghazal parhungi, Rasul Allah ne use farmaya: ''Agar tum ne nazr mani thi to phir daf baja le aur agar nazr nahi mani to phir nahi.'' Woh bajane lagi to Abubakar tashreef laye, woh (un ke aane par) bajati rahi, phir Ali tashreef laye aur woh bajati rahi, phir Usman tashreef laye to woh bajati rahi, phir Umar tashreef laye to usne daf apne sareeran ke neeche rakh li aur us par baith gayi, Rasul Allah ne farmaya: ''Umar! shaitan tum se darta hai, main baitha hua tha aur woh daf bajati rahi, Abubakar aaye to woh bajati rahi, phir Ali aaye to woh bajati rahi, phir Usman aaye to woh bajati rahi, Umar jab tum aaye to usne daf phenk di.'' Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yah hadees hasan sahih gharib hai. Isnaadahu hasan, raah Tirmidhi.
Aisha (RA) reported: While we were with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), we heard a clamor and the voices of children. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) got up, and we saw a black woman dancing and children around her (watching). He (SAW) said, "Aisha, come and see." So I came and put my jaw (face) over the shoulder of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and I began to watch between his shoulder and head. He (SAW) said to me, "Have you not had enough? Have you not had enough?" I said no, so that I might know my rank and position with him. Suddenly, Umar (RA) came, and the people dispersed from around her (the black woman). The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "I saw the devils of jinn and men fleeing from Umar." Aisha (RA) said: I went back. Tirmidhi said: This hadith is hasan sahih gharib. Its chain of narration is hasan.

عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ تشریف فرما تھے کہ ہم نے شور اور بچوں کی آواز سنی ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کھڑے ہوئے تو دیکھا کہ ایک حبشی خاتون رقص کر رہی تھی اور بچے اس کے اردگرد (تماشا دیکھ رہے) تھے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ عائشہ ! آؤ اور دیکھو ۔‘‘ میں آئی تو میں نے اپنے جبڑے (چہرہ) رسول اللہ ﷺ کے کندھے پر رکھ دیئے اور میں آپ کے کندھے اور سر کے درمیان سے اسے دیکھنے لگی ، آپ ﷺ نے مجھے فرمایا :’’ کیا تم سیر نہیں ہوئی ، کیا تم سیر نہیں ہوئی ؟‘‘ میں کہنے لگی نہیں ، تا کہ میں آپ کے ہاں اپنی قدر و منزلت کا اندازہ لگا سکوں ، اچانک عمر ؓ تشریف لے آئے تو سارے لوگ اس (حبشیہ) کے پاس سے تتر بتر ہو گئے ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ میں نے شیاطین جن و انس کو دیکھا کہ وہ عمر کی وجہ سے بھاگ رہے ہیں ۔‘‘ عائشہ ؓ نے فرمایا : میں واپس آ گئی ۔ ترمذی ، اور فرمایا : یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے ۔ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Ayesha bayan karti hain, Rasool Allah tashreef farma thay keh hum ne shor aur bachon ki aawaz suni, Rasool Allah kharay huay to dekha keh aik Habshi khatoon raqs kar rahi thi aur bache uss ke ird gird (tamasha dekh rahay) thay, Aap ne farmaya: ''Ayesha! Aaao aur dekho.'' Main aai to main ne apne jabray (chehra) Rasool Allah ke kandhay par rakh diye aur main aap ke kandhay aur sar ke darmiyaan se ussay dekhne lagi, Aap ne mujhe farmaya: ''Kya tum sair nahin hui, kya tum sair nahin hui?'' Main kehne lagi nahin, ta keh main aap ke haan apni qadar o manzilat ka andaza laga sakun, achanak Umar tashreef le aaye to sare log uss (Habshiya) ke pass se tatar bitar ho gaye, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Main ne shayateen jinn o ins ko dekha keh woh Umar ki wajah se bhaag rahay hain.'' Ayesha ne farmaya: Main wapas aa gai. Tirmidhi, aur farmaya: Yeh hadees hasan sahih gharib hai. Isnadah hasan, rawaah al-Tirmidhi.
Narrated Anas and Ibn 'Umar: 'Umar said, "I agreed with my Lord (i.e., my suggestion was confirmed by the Divine Revelation) in three matters. I said, 'O Allah's Messenger! Would that you take the Station of Abraham as a place of prayer.' So the Verse...'Take you (people) the Station of Abraham as a place of prayer (for some of your prayers)' (2:125) was revealed. I said, 'O Allah's Messenger! Good and bad persons enter upon your wives, so order your wives to observe veils.' So the Verse of the Hijab was revealed. (On one occasion) the wives of the Prophet talked with each other on the subject of the Pledges of allegiance at Al-Hudaibiya, whereupon I said, 'It may be that if he (the Prophet) divorced you, his Lord (i.e., Allah) will give him in exchange wives better than you.' So this Verse (of the option of divorce was revealed)." (Sahih al-Bukhari).

انس اور ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ عمر ؓ نے فرمایا : میں نے تین امور میں اپنے رب سے موافقت کی ، میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! اگر ہم مقام ابراہیم کو جائے نماز بنا لیں ؟ اللہ نے یہ آیت نازل فرما دی :’’ مقام ابراہیم کو جائے نماز بناؤ ۔‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! آپ کی ازواج مطہرات کے پاس نیک و فاسق قسم کے لوگ آتے ہیں ، اگر آپ انہیں پردہ کرنے کا حکم فرما دیں ، تب اللہ نے آیت حجاب نازل فرمائی ، اور (ایک موقع پر) نبی ﷺ کی ازواج مطہرات قصہ غیرت (شہد پینے والے واقعہ) پر اکٹھی ہو گئیں ، تو میں نے کہا :’’ قریب ہے کہ اس کا رب ، اگر وہ تمہیں طلاق دے دیں ، تم سے بہتر بیویاں انہیں عطا فرما دے ۔‘‘ اسی طرح آیت نازل ہو گئی ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Anas aur Ibn Umar (RA) se riwayat hai ki Umar (RA) ne farmaya: main ne teen umoor mein apne Rab se muwafqat ki, main ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasul! Agar hum maqam Ibrahim ko jaye namaz bana len? Allah ne yeh ayat nazil farma di: ''Maqam Ibrahim ko jaye namaz banao.'' Main ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasul! Aap ki azwaj mutahirat ke paas nek o fasiq qisam ke log aate hain, agar aap unhen parda karne ka hukum farma den, tab Allah ne ayat hijab nazil farmaai, aur (ek mauqa par) Nabi (SAW) ki azwaj mutahirat qissa ghirat (sharab peene wale waqea) par ikhatti ho gayin, to main ne kaha: ''Qareeb hai ki is ka Rab, agar wo tumhen talaq de den, tum se behtar biwiyan unhen ata farma de.'' Isi tarah ayat nazil ho gayi. Riwayat Bukhari.
And in a narration of Ibn Umar, he said: Umar said: "I agreed with my Lord in three matters: regarding the Station of Ibrahim, the curtain, and the prisoners of Badr." - Agreed upon.

اور ابن عمر ؓ کی روایت میں ہے ، انہوں نے کہا ، عمر ؓ نے فرمایا : میں نے تین امور میں ، اپنے رب سے موافقت کی ، مقام ابراہیم کے متعلق ، پردے اور بدر کے قیدیوں کے بارے میں ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
aur ibne umar ki riwayat mein hai, unhon ne kaha, umar ne farmaya : mein ne teen umoor mein, apne rabb se muwafqat ki, maqam ibrahim ke mutalliq, parde aur badr ke qaidion ke bare mein. muttafiq alaih.
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was given superiority over other people due to four things: He suggested killing the prisoners of Badr, so Allah revealed this verse: "And had it not been for a prior decree from Allah, a severe torment would have touched you for what you took." And his command regarding the Hijab, he told the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to observe Hijab, so Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) said to him: "O Ibn Khattab! Do you command us while the revelation descends in our houses?" So Allah revealed this verse: "And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition." And the Prophet's (peace be upon him) supplication for him: "O Allah! Strengthen Islam with 'Umar." And he was the first to have an opinion regarding Abu Bakr (becoming the Caliph) and he was the first to pledge allegiance to him.'

ابن مسعود ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، عمر بن خطاب ؓ کو چار چیزوں کی وجہ سے دیگر لوگوں پر فضیلت عطا کی گئی ، انہوں نے بدر کے قیدیوں کو قتل کرنے کا مشورہ دیا تھا ، اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی :’’ اگر اللہ کی کتاب میں یہ حکم پہلے سے موجود نہ ہوتا تو تم نے جو (فدیہ) لیا اس پر تمہیں بڑا عذاب پہنچتا ۔‘‘ اور ان کا حجاب کے متعلق فرمانا ، انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کی ازواج مطہرات سے فرمایا کہ وہ پردہ کیا کریں ، تو زینب ؓ نے انہیں فرمایا : ابن خطاب ! کیا آپ ہمیں حکم دیتے ہیں جبکہ وحی تو ہمارے گھروں میں اترتی ہے ، تب اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی :’’ اور جب تم ان سے کوئی چیز طلب کرو تو ان سے پردے کے پیچھے سے طلب کرو ۔‘‘ اور ان کے متعلق نبی ﷺ کی دعا :’’ اے اللہ ! عمر کے ذریعے اسلام کو تقویت فرما ۔‘‘ اور ابوبکر ؓ کے (خلیفہ ہونے کے) متعلق سب سے پہلی انہیں کی رائے تھی اور انہوں نے ہی سب سے پہلے اُن کی بیعت کی ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد ۔
Ibn Masood bayan karte hain, Umar bin Khattab ko chaar cheezon ki wajah se digar logon per fazilat ata ki gayi, unhon ne Badr ke qaidion ko qatl karne ka mashwara diya tha, Allah Ta'ala ne ye aayat nazil farmai: ''Agar Allah ki kitaab mein ye hukm pehle se mojood na hota to tum ne jo (fideya) liya us par tumhen bada azab pahunchta.'' Aur un ka hijab ke mutalliq farmana, unhon ne Nabi ki azwaj mut'hirat se farmaya ke wo parda kya karen, to Zainab ne unhen farmaya: Ibn Khattab! Kya aap hamen hukm dete hain jabke wahi to hamare gharon mein utarti hai, tab Allah Ta'ala ne ye aayat nazil farmai: ''Aur jab tum un se koi cheez talab karo to un se parde ke peeche se talab karo.'' Aur un ke mutalliq Nabi ki dua: ''Aye Allah! Umar ke zariye Islam ko taqviyat farma.'' Aur Abu Bakr ke (khalifa hone ke) mutalliq sab se pehli unhen ki raaye thi aur unhon ne hi sab se pehle un ki bai'at ki. Asnaad'h zaeef, Riwayat Ahmad.
Abu Sa'eed (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man from my Ummah will be raised to a high place in Paradise." Abu Sa'eed (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "By Allah! We thought that this man was 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) until he passed away." This narration is weak. It was reported by Ibn Majah.

ابوسعید ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ وہ آدمی میری امت میں سے جنت میں ایک درجہ بلند مقام پر فائز ہو گا ۔‘‘ ابوسعید ؓ نے فرمایا : اللہ کی قسم ! ہمارے خیال میں وہ آدمی عمر بن خطاب ؓ ہی ہیں حتیٰ کہ وہ وفات پا گئے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابن ماجہ ۔
Abu Saeed bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''woh aadmi meri ummat mein se jannat mein ek darja buland maqam par faiz ho ga.'' Abu Saeed ne farmaya: Allah ki qasam! Humare khayal mein woh aadmi Umar bin Khattab hi hain hatta ke woh wafaat pa gaye. Asnada zaeef, Rawah Ibne Maja.
Aslam (the freed slave of 'Umar) reported: Ibn 'Umar inquired from me about some of the qualities of 'Umar, whereupon I said to him: I did not find anyone after the death of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who strove so hard (in the cause of Islam) or was so generous as he until these qualities led to his end. - Sahih al-Bukhari.

اسلم (عمر ؓ کے آزاد کردہ غلام) بیان کرتے ہیں ، ابن عمر ؓ نے مجھ سے عمر ؓ کے بعض حالات کے متعلق دریافت کیا تو میں نے انہیں بتایا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی وفات کے بعد کسی شخص کو اتنی زیادہ جدوجہد اور سخاوت کرنے والا نہیں دیکھا حتیٰ کہ یہ فضائل عمر ؓ پر ختم ہو گئے ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Aslam (Umar R.A ke azad kardah ghulam) bayan karte hain, Ibn Umar R.A ne mujh se Umar R.A ke baaz ahwal ke mutalliq daryaft kiya to main ne unhen bataya ke main ne Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki wafat ke baad kisi shakhs ko itni zyada jadedojahd aur sakaavat karne wala nahin dekha hatta ke ye fazail Umar R.A par khatam ho gaye. Riwayat Bukhari.
Masroor bin Mukhram (ra) narrates, when Umar (ra) was wounded and he began to feel pain, Ibn Abbas (ra) consoled him saying: "Amir-ul-Momineen! Why do you express so much pain? You were blessed with the companionship of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and you fulfilled it in the best way, then when he parted from you, he was pleased with you. Then you were in the companionship of Abu Bakr (ra), and you were good with him too, then when he parted from you, he was also pleased with you. Now you are in the company of Muslims and you are good to them as well, and if you part from them, you will part from them while they are pleased with you." He (Umar) said: "What you have mentioned about the companionship of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and his pleasure, then that is a favor of Allah which He bestowed upon me, and what you have mentioned about Abu Bakr (ra) and his pleasure, then that too is a favor of Allah which He bestowed upon me. As for my anxiety and distress that you are seeing, it is due to my concern for you and your companions. By Allah! If I had gold equal to the weight of the earth, I would have given it in ransom to save myself from seeing the punishment of Allah before that." (Sahih al-Bukhari)

مسور بن مخرمہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب عمر ؓ زخمی کر دیے گئے تو وہ تکلیف محسوس کرنے لگے ، اس پر ابن عباس ؓ نے انہیں تسلی دیتے ہوئے عرض کیا : امیر المومنین ! آپ اتنی تکلیف کا کیوں اظہار کر رہے ہیں ؟ آپ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صحبت اختیار کی اور اسے اچھے انداز میں نبھایا ، پھر وہ آپ سے جدا ہوئے تو وہ آپ پر راضی تھے ، پھر آپ ابوبکر ؓ کی صحبت میں رہے ، اور ان کے ساتھ بھی خوب رہے ، پھر وہ آپ سے جدا ہوئے تو وہ بھی آپ پر راضی تھے ، پھر آپ مسلمانوں کی صحبت میں رہے ، اور آپ ان کے ساتھ بھی خوب اچھی طرح رہے ، اور اگر آپ ان سے جدا ہوئے تو آپ ان سے بھی اس حال میں جدا ہوں گے کہ وہ آپ سے راضی ہوں گے ، انہوں نے فرمایا : تم نے جو رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ اور آپ کے راضی ہونے کا ذکر کیا ہے تو وہ اللہ کی طرف سے ایک احسان ہے جو اس نے مجھ پر کیا ہے ، اور تم نے جو ابوبکر ؓ کے ساتھ اور ان کے راضی ہونے کا ذکر کیا ہے تو وہ بھی اللہ کی طرف سے ایک احسان ہے جو اس نے مجھ پر کیا ہے ، اور رہی میری گھبراہٹ اور پریشانی جو تم دیکھ رہے ہو تو وہ آپ اور آپ کے ساتھیوں کے بارے میں فکر مند ہونے کی وجہ سے ہے ، اللہ کی قسم ! اگر میرے پاس زمین بھر سونا ہوتا تو میں اللہ کے عذاب کو دیکھنے سے پہلے اس کا فدیہ دے کر اس سے نجات حاصل کرتا ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Masoor bin Mukhramma bayan karte hain, jab Umar zakhmi kar diye gaye to woh takleef mehsoos karne lage, is par Ibn Abbas ne unhen tasalli dete huye arz kiya : Ameer-ul-Momineen ! aap itni takleef ka kyun izhaar kar rahe hain ? aap ne Rasul Allah ki sohbat ikhtiyar ki aur ise achhe andaz mein nibhaya, phir woh aap se juda huye to woh aap par raazi the, phir aap Abu Bakr ki sohbat mein rahe, aur un ke saath bhi khoob rahe, phir woh aap se juda huye to woh bhi aap par raazi the, phir aap Musalmanon ki sohbat mein rahe, aur aap un ke saath bhi khoob achhi tarah rahe, aur agar aap un se juda huye to aap un se bhi is haal mein juda honge ke woh aap se raazi honge, unhon ne farmaya : tum ne jo Rasul Allah ke saath aur aap ke raazi hone ka zikr kiya hai to woh Allah ki taraf se ek ehsaan hai jo us ne mujh par kiya hai, aur tum ne jo Abu Bakr ke saath aur un ke raazi hone ka zikr kiya hai to woh bhi Allah ki taraf se ek ehsaan hai jo us ne mujh par kiya hai, aur rahi meri ghabarahat aur pareshani jo tum dekh rahe ho to woh aap aur aap ke saathiyon ke bare mein fikar mand hone ki wajah se hai, Allah ki qasam ! agar mere paas zameen bhar sona hota to main Allah ke azab ko dekhne se pehle is ka fidya de kar is se nijaat hasil karta .
