Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 2913
Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no prayer for the one who does not recite Surat Al-Fatihah.”

(٢٩١٣) حضرت عبادہ بن صامت (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس شخص کی نماز نہیں جو سورة فا تحہ نہ پڑھے۔
(2913) Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Is shakhs ki namaz nahi jo Surah Fatiha na parhe.
Our master Ubada bin Samit (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The prayer of the one who does not recite Surah Al-Fatihah in the prayer is incomplete."

(٢٩١٤) سیدنا عبادہ بن صامت (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو نماز میں سورة فاتحہ نہیں پڑھتا اس کی نماز نہیں ہوتی۔
2914 saidana ubaada bin samat (rz) farmate hain ke rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya jo namaz mein sura fatiha nahi parhta us ki namaz nahi hoti
Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in the morning prayer and his recitation became difficult for him. When he finished the prayer, he said: I think you recite behind your Imam? We said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah! We do. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not recite anything except Surah Fatihah because the prayer of the one who does not recite it is not valid.

(٢٩١٥) حضرت عبادہ بن صامت (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک دن ہمیں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صبح کی نماز پڑھائی تو آپ پر قرات مشکل ہوگئی ۔ جب آپ نے نماز سے سلام پھیرا تو فرمایا : میرا خیال ہے کہ تم اپنے امام کے پیچھے قراءت کرتے ہو ؟ ہم نے کہا : جی ہاں اے اللہ کے رسول ! ہم تو ایسا ہی کرتے ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ کے سوا کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو کیونکہ اس شخص کی نماز نہیں ہوتی جو اسے نہیں پڑھتا۔
2915 Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (RA) bayan karte hain ki aik din humain Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne subah ki namaz parhayi to aap par qirat mushkil hogayi. Jab aap ne namaz se salam phera to farmaya: mera khayal hai ki tum apne imam ke peeche qirat karte ho? Hum ne kaha: ji haan aye Allah ke Rasool! Hum to aisa hi karte hain. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Surah Fatiha ke siwa kuch na parha karo kyunki us shakhs ki namaz nahi hoti jo use nahi parhta.
Ibn Ishaq narrated to me that Mak'hool narrated this hadith to me. It says that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I think that you recite behind your Imam when he recites aloud. We said: O Messenger of Allah! That is so (we recite). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not do so, do not recite anything except Surah Fatihah because whoever does not recite Surah Fatihah, his prayer is not valid.

(٢٩١٦) ابن اسحق بیان کرتے ہیں کہ مجھے مکحول نے یہ حدیث بیان کی۔ اس میں یہ ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میرا خیال ہے کہ تم اپنے امام کے پیچھے پڑھتے ہو جب وہ جہری قراءت کررہا ہوتا ہے۔ ہم نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! ایسا ہی ہے (ہم پڑھتے ہیں) رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس طرح نہ کیا کرو، سورة فاتحہ کے سوا کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو کیونکہ جو سورة فاتحہ نہیں پڑھتا اس کی نماز نہیں ہوتی۔
2916 Ibn Ishaq bayan karte hain keh mujhe Makhool ne yeh hadees bayan ki Is mein yeh hai keh aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya mera khayal hai keh tum apne imam ke peeche parhte ho jab woh jahri qirat kar raha hota hai Hum ne kaha aye Allah ke Rasool aisa hi hai hum parhte hain Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya is tarah na kiya karo Sura Fatiha ke siwa kuch na parha karo kyunki jo Sura Fatiha nahi parhta uski namaz nahi hoti
Nafi' narrated that 'Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) was late for the Fajr prayer, so Abu Nu'aim Mu'adhdhin (the one who first gave the Adhan in Jerusalem) led the people in prayer. Meanwhile, 'Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, and I was with him. We made the intention to follow Abu Nu'aim. Abu Nu'aim was reciting in a loud voice. 'Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) began reciting Surah Fatiha (in a low voice). When he finished praying, I said to 'Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him), "I heard you reciting Surah Fatiha, even though Abu Nu'aim was reciting in a loud voice?" He said, "Yes! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in a loud prayer, and it became difficult for you to recite. When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, he turned his blessed face towards us and said, 'When I recite aloud, do you also recite?' Some of us said, 'We do.' He said, 'Do not do that. I was wondering why it was difficult for me to recite the Qur'an. So when I recite aloud, do not recite anything from the Qur'an except Surah Fatiha.'"

(٢٩١٧) نافع بیان کرتے ہیں کہ عبادۃ بن صامت (رض) کو صبح کی نماز سے تاخیر ہوگئی تو ابو نعیم موذن (جس نے سب سے پہلے بیت المقدس میں اذان دی) نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی، اتنے میں عبادہ (رض) بھی تشریف لائے اور میں بھی ان کے ساتھ تھا۔ ہم نے ابو نعیم کے پیچھے نیت باندھ لی۔ ابو نعیم بلند آواز سے قراءت کر رہے تھے ۔ عبادہ (رض) نے سورة فاتحہ (آہستہ آواز میں) پڑھنی شروع کردی۔ جب وہ نماز پڑھ چکے تو میں نے عبادہ (رض) سے کہا : میں نے آپ کو سورة فاتحہ پڑھتے ہوئے سنا ہے حالانکہ ابونعیم بلند آواز سے قراءت کر رہے تھے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں ! رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں جہری نماز پڑھائی تو آپ پر قرات مشکل ہوگئی۔ جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو رخ انور ہماری طرف کر کے گویا ہوئے : جب میں بلند آواز سے قرات کرتا ہوں تو شاید تم بھی قرات کرتے ہو ؟ ہم میں سے بعض نے کہا : ہم ایسا ہی کرتے ہیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ایسا نہ کیا کرو ، میں تبھی تو سوچ رہا تھا کہ کیا وجہ ہے کہ قرآن پڑھنا مجھ پر مشکل ہو رہا ہے۔ لہٰذا جب میں بلند آواز سے قرات کروں تو سورة فاتحہ کے علاوہ قرآن سے کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو۔
2917 Nafi bayan karte hain ke Ubadah bin Samit (RA) ko subah ki namaz se takheer hogai to Abu Naeem Moazzin (jis ne sab se pehle Baitul Muqaddas mein azan di) ne logon ko namaz parhayi, itne mein Ubadah (RA) bhi tashreef laye aur mein bhi un ke sath tha. Hum ne Abu Naeem ke peeche niyat bandh li. Abu Naeem buland aawaz se qirat kar rahe the. Ubadah (RA) ne Surah Fatiha (aheste aawaz mein) parhni shuru kardi. Jab woh namaz parh chuke to mein ne Ubadah (RA) se kaha: mein ne aap ko Surah Fatiha parhte hue suna hai halankeh Abu Naeem buland aawaz se qirat kar rahe the? Unhon ne kaha: Haan! Rasul Allah (SAW) ne hamein jahri namaz parhayi to aap par qirat mushkil hogai. Jab aap (SAW) namaz se farigh hue to rukh anwar hamari taraf kar ke goya hue: Jab mein buland aawaz se qirat karta hun to shayad tum bhi qirat karte ho? Hum mein se baaz ne kaha: Hum aisa hi karte hain. Aap ne farmaya: Aisa na kiya karo, mein tabhi to soch raha tha ke kya wajah hai ke Quran parhna mujh par mushkil ho raha hai. Lihaza jab mein buland aawaz se qirat karun to Surah Fatiha ke ilawa Quran se kuch na parha karo.
(2919) (a) It is narrated from Abu Nu'aym that he heard from 'Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you recite along with me in prayer?" We said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not recite anything other than Surat al-Fatihah."
Abu Bakr bin Harith al-Faqih informed us, telling us that 'Ali bin 'Umar al-Hafiz informed him that Ibn Sa'd said: "I think this is a mistake. Abu Nu'aym was only a mu'adhdhin; it was not as Walid said."

(٢٩١٩) (ا) ابو نعیم سے روایت ہے کہ انھوں نے عبادہ بن صامت (رض) سے سنا کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا تم نماز میں میرے ساتھ پڑھتے ہو ؟ ہم نے کہا : جی ہاں ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ کے سوا کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو۔
ابوبکر بن حارث فقیہ نے ہمیں خبر دی کہ مجھے علی بن عمر حافظ نے بتلایا کہ ابن صاعد کہتے ہیں : میرا خیال ہے کہ یہ خطا ہے۔ ابو نعیم تو صرف موذن تھا اس طرح نہیں تھا جس طرح ولید نے کہا ہے۔

abubakar bin haris fakeeh ne hamen khabar di ki mujhe ali bin umar hafiz ne batlaya ki ibn saad kahte hain mera khayal hai ki yeh khata hai abu naeem to sirf muddin tha is tarah nahin tha jis tarah walid ne kaha
Narrated Nafi' bin Mahdum bin Rabi'a: I heard Ubadah bin Samit (RA) reciting Surat-al-Fatiha, while Abu Nu'aim was leading the prayer (with loud recitation). I said: "I heard you reciting something in the prayer?" He said: "What is that?" I said: "I heard you reciting Umm-ul-Quran (Surat-al-Fatiha) while Abu Nu'aim was reciting loudly?" He said: "Yes, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) led us in a prayer (in congregation), and when he finished the prayer, he said: 'Perhaps, some of you recite (the Quran) in prayer?' We said: "Yes, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." He said: "I was just thinking as to why I find it difficult to recite the Quran? So do not recite anything from the Quran except Surat-al-Fatiha when I recite loudly."

(٢٩٢٠) نافع بن محمود بن ربیع سے روایت ہے کہ انھوں نے عبادہ بن صامت (رض) کو سورة فاتحہ پڑھتے ہوئے سنا اور ابو نعیم (دوران جماعت بطور امام) اونچی قراءت کر رہے تھے۔ نافع کہتے ہیں : میں نے کہا کہ میں نے آپ کو نماز میں کچھ پڑھتے سنا ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : وہ کیا ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : آپ کو ام القرآن پڑھتے سنا ہے ، حالانکہ ابونعیم اونچی قراءت کر رہے تھے۔ انھوں نے فرمایا : ہاں (ایسا ہے ہی ہے) رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ہمیں جہری نماز پڑھائی۔ جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا : جب میں بلند آواز سے قراءت کرتا ہوں تو شاید تم میں سے کوئی قراءت کرتا ہے ؟ ہم نے کہا : ہاں اے اللہ کے رسول ! رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میں تبھی تو سوچ رہا تھا کہ کیا وجہ ہے کہ قرآن پڑھنا مجھ پر مشکل ہو رہا ہے۔ لہٰذا جب میں اونچی آواز سے قرات کررہا ہوں تو سورة فاتحہ کے سوا قرآن میں سے کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو۔
2920 Nafe bin Mahmud bin Rabia se riwayat hai ki unhon ne Ubadah bin Samit (Razi Allahu Anhu) ko Surah Fatiha parhte hue suna aur Abu Naeem (dauran jamaat ba tour imam) oonchi qirat kar rahe the. Nafe kahte hain : main ne kaha ki main ne aap ko namaz mein kuchh parhte suna hai? Unhon ne kaha : woh kya hai? Main ne kaha : aap ko Umm ul Quran parhte suna hai, halan ki Abu Naeem oonchi qirat kar rahe the. Unhon ne farmaya : haan (aisa hai hi hai) Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne hamen jahri namaz parhayi. Jab aap namaz se farigh hue to farmaya : jab main buland aawaz se qirat karta hun to shayad tum mein se koi qirat karta hai? Hum ne kaha : haan aye Allah ke Rasul! Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : main tabhi to soch raha tha ki kya wajah hai ki Quran parhna mujh par mushkil ho raha hai. Lihaza jab main oonchi aawaz se qirat kar raha hun to Surah Fatiha ke siwa Quran mein se kuchh na parha karo.
Nafi' bin Mahmood Ansari narrated from Ubadah (RA) that Ubadah (RA) was in Iliya. He missed the morning prayer, so Abu Nu'aim led the prayer. He was the first to call the Adhan in Jerusalem. I came with Sayyidina Ubadah (RA). He joined the people in the row. Abu Nu'aim was reciting in a loud voice, and Ubadah (RA) was reciting Surah Fatiha (softly). I could understand it. When they finished the prayer, I said, "I heard you reciting Surah Fatiha?" He said, "Yes! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in the Zuhr prayer and said, 'When I recite in a loud voice, do not recite anything but Surah Fatiha.' "

(٢٩٢١) نافع بن محمود انصاری عبادہ (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ عبادہ (رض) ایلیا میں تھے، آپ صبح کی نماز میں پیچھے رہ گئے تو ابونعیم نے نماز کھڑی کردی۔ یہ وہ ہیں جنہوں نے سب سے پہلے بیت المقدس میں اذان کہی۔ میں سیدنا عبادہ (رض) کے ساتھ آیا۔ آپ لوگوں کے ساتھ آکر صف میں شامل ہوگئے۔ ابو نعیم اونچی آواز سے قراءت کر رہے تھے اور عبادہ (رض) سورة فاتحہ کی قرات (آہستہ) کر رہے تھے، مجھے سمجھ آرہی تھی۔ جب وہ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو میں نے عرض کیا کہ میں نے آپ کو سورة فاتحہ پڑھتے سنا ہے ؟ تو انھوں نے فرمایا : ہاں ! ہمیں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے جہری نماز پڑھائی تو فرمایا : جب میں اونچی آواز سے قرات کررہا ہوں تو سورة فاتحہ کے علاوہ کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو۔
(2921) Nafe bin Mahmood Ansari Ubadah (Razi Allah Anhu) se riwayat karte hain ke Ubadah (Razi Allah Anhu) Iliya mein thay, aap subah ki namaz mein peechhe reh gaye to Abu Nayem ne namaz khadi kardi. Yeh woh hain jinhone sab se pehle Baitul Muqaddas mein azan kahi. Main Sayyiduna Ubadah (Razi Allah Anhu) ke sath aaya. Aap logon ke sath aakar saf mein shamil hogaye. Abu Nayem oonchi aawaz se qirat kar rahe thay aur Ubadah (Razi Allah Anhu) Surah Fatiha ki qirat (ahestha) kar rahe thay, mujhe samajh aa rahi thi. Jab woh namaz se farigh huye to maine arz kiya ke maine aapko Surah Fatiha padhte suna hai? To unhone farmaya: Haan! Hamein Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne jahri namaz padhayi to farmaya: Jab main oonchi aawaz se qirat kar raha hoon to Surah Fatiha ke ilawa kuchh na padha karo.
Muhammad bin Abi Ayesha narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Perhaps you recite (the Qur'an) by turns amongst yourselves during the prayer?” They said: “Yes, we do so.” He said: “Do not do so, but each of you should recite (Surat Al-Fatiha); for verily it has been revealed to me that in every prayer Surat Al-Fatiha is required (to be recited).”

(٢٩٢٢) محمد بن ابی عائشہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : شاید کہ تم بھی قرات کرتے ہو ؟ انھوں نے کہا : جی ہاں ! ہم تو ایسے ہی کرتے ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ایسا نہ کیا کرو مگر تم میں سے ہر ایک سورة فاتحہ ضرور پڑھے۔
2922 Muhammad bin Abi Aisha se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Shayad ki tum bhi qirat karte ho? Unhon ne kaha: Ji haan! Hum to aise hi karte hain. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Aisa na kia karo magar tum mein se har ek Surah Fatiha zaroor parhe.
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (ﷺ) led us in prayer, and when he finished, he turned to us and said, "Do you recite (Quran) in your prayers?" The people remained silent. He (ﷺ) repeated the question three times, then someone said, "We do this and that." The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, "Do not do this. Anyone of you should recite Surat Al-Fatiha, for it is sufficient for him.

(٢٩٢٣) سیدنا انس بن مالک (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو (ہماری طرف) متوجہ ہو کر فرمایا : کیا تم اپنی نمازوں میں قرا ئت کرتے ہو ؟ تو صحابہ خاموش ہوگئے۔ آپ نے تین بار پوچھا : کسی نے کہا : ہم ایسے ہی کرتے ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نہ پڑھا کرو۔ صرف تم میں سے ہر ایک سورة فاتحہ اپنے دل میں پڑھ لیا کرے۔
2923 Saidna Anas bin Malik (RA) bayan karte hain ke Nabi (SAW) ne namaz parhai, jab aap namaz se farigh huye to (humari taraf) mutawajjah ho kar farmaya : kya tum apni namaazon mein qirat karte ho ? to sahaba khamosh hogaye. Aap ne teen baar poocha : kisi ne kaha : hum aise hi karte hain. Aap (SAW) ne farmaya : na parha karo. Sirf tum mein se har ek Surah Fatiha apne dil mein parh liya kare.
(2925) (a) A similar narration from the second source is narrated by Abu Qilaba (may Allah be pleased with him) who narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding recitation.
(b) It is narrated on the authority of Ismail Khalid that he asked Abu Qilaba: Who narrated this hadith to you? He said: Muhammad bin Abi A'isha, the freed slave of Banu Umayya.

(٢٩٢٥) (ا) دوسری سند سے اسی جیسی روایت ابو قلابہ (رض) سے منقول ہے جو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے قراءت کے بارے میں روایت نقل کرتے ہیں۔
(ب) اسماعیل خالد کے واسطے سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے ابو قلابہ سے پوچھا : آپ کو یہ حدیث کس نے بیان کی ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : بنی امیہ کے غلام محمد بن ابی عائشہ نے۔
(2925) (a) dusri sand se isi jaisi riwayat abu qulabah (rz) se manqol hai jo nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se qirat ke bare mein riwayat naql karte hain
(b) ismail khalid ke waste se riwayat karte hain ke unhon ne abu qulabah se poocha : aap ko ye hadees kis ne bayan ki hai ? aap ne farmaya : bani umayyah ke ghulam muhammad bin abi aisha ne.
(2926) Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah narrated from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you recite (Quran) behind me in prayer?" The Companions said: "Yes." So he said: "Do not recite anything other than Surah Fatihah."

(٢٩٢٦) عبداللہ بن ابو قتادہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا تم میرے پیچھے نماز میں قرات کرتے ہو ؟ صحابہ نے کہا : جی ہاں ! تو آپ نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ کے علاوہ کچھ نہ پڑھا کرو۔
Abdulh bin Abu Qatadah apne wald se riwayat karte hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya tum mere peeche namaz mein qirat karte ho ? Sahaba ne kaha : ji haan ! to aap ne farmaya : Surah Fatiha ke alawah kuch na parha karo.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The prayer of a person who does not recite Surah Fatiha in it is incomplete.” He said it thrice. Abu Sa’ib narrates, “I said to Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): ‘Sometimes I am behind the Imam (in prayer).’ So he held my arm and said: ‘O Persian! Recite it in your heart, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that Allah Almighty says: ‘I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he asks for.’ When the servant says: {Alhamdu lillahi rabbil ‘alamin} (All praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds), Allah says: ‘My servant has praised Me.’ When he says: {Ar-rahmanir-rahim} (The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), Allah says: ‘My servant has extolled Me.’ And when he says: {Maliki yawmid-din} (The Master of the Day of Judgement), Allah says: ‘My servant has glorified Me.’ When the servant says: {Iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka nasta’in} (You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help), Allah says: ‘This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.’”
In the narration of Walid bin Kathir, it is stated that when the servant says: {Maliki yawmid-din} (The Master of the Day of Judgement), Allah says: ‘My servant has glorified Me. This is for Me, and the rest is for My servant.’ When he says: {Iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka nasta’in}, then he recites the whole Surah.

(٢٩٢٧) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس شخص نے نماز میں سورة فاتحہ نہیں پڑھی تو وہ نماز ناقص ہے، تین مرتبہ فرمایا۔ ابو سائب بیان کرتے ہیں : میں نے ابوہریرہ (رض) سے کہا : میں بعض اوقات امام کے پیچھے ہوتا ہوں تو انھوں نے میرے بازو کو پکڑ کر کہا : اے فارسی ! اسے اپنے دل میں پڑھ لیا کر؛ کیونکہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں : میں نے نماز کو اپنے اور بندے کے درمیان آدھا آدھا تقسیم کردیا ہے۔ اس کا نصف میرے لیے ہے اور نصف میرے بندے کے لیے ہے اور میرے بندے کے لیے وہ ہے جو اس نے مانگا۔ جب بندہ کہتا ہے : { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِینَ } ” تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جو سب جہانوں کا پالنے والا ہے۔ “ تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں : میرے بندے نے میری تعریف بیان کی ہے۔ جب بندہ کہتا ہے : { الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ } ” بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ “ تو اللہ فرماتے ہیں : ” میرے بندے نے میری ثنا بیان کی “ اور جب بندہ کہتا ہے : { مَالِکِ یَوْمِ الدِّینِ } ” جزا کے دن کا مالک ہے۔ “ تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں : ” میرے بندے نے میری عظمت بیان کی۔ “ جب بندہ کہتا ہے : {إِیَّاکَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِیَّاکَ نَسْتَعِینُ } ” ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھ ہی سے مدد طلب کرتے ہیں۔ “ تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں : یہ میرے اور میرے بندے کے درمیان ہے اور میرے بندے کے لیے وہی ہے جس کا اس نے سوال کیا۔ “
ولید بن کثیر کی حدیث میں ہے کہ جب بندہ کہتا ہے : { مَالِکِ یَوْمِ الدِّینِ } ” قیامت کے دن کا مالک ہے۔ “ تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں : میرے بندے نے میری عظمت بیان کی۔ یہ میرے لیے ہے اور باقی میرے بندے کے لیے ہے۔ جب بندہ کہتا ہے : {إِیَّاکَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِیَّاکَ نَسْتَعِینُ } پھر پوری سورت پڑھی۔
2927 Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jis shakhs ne namaz mein Surah Fatiha nahi parhi to woh namaz naqis hai, teen martaba farmaya. Abu Saib bayan karte hain: Main ne Abu Huraira (RA) se kaha: Main baaz auqat imam ke peeche hota hun to unhon ne mere bazu ko pakar kar kaha: Aye Farsi! Ise apne dil mein parh liya kar; kyunki main ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko farmate hue suna hai ki Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: Main ne namaz ko apne aur bande ke darmiyan aadha aadha taqseem kar diya hai. Is ka nisf mere liye hai aur nisf mere bande ke liye hai aur mere bande ke liye woh hai jo us ne manga. Jab banda kehta hai: {Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen} " Tamam tareefen Allah ke liye hain jo sab jahaanhon ka palne wala hai. " to Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: Mere bande ne meri tareef bayan ki hai. Jab banda kehta hai: {Ar-Rahmanir-Raheem} " Bara meharban nihayat reham karne wala hai. " to Allah farmate hain: " Mere bande ne meri sana bayan ki " aur jab banda kehta hai: {Maliki Yawmid-Deen} " Jaza ke din ka malik hai. " to Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: " Mere bande ne meri azmat bayan ki. " Jab banda kehta hai: {Iyyaka Na'budu Wa Iyyaka Nasta'een} " Hum teri hi ibadat karte hain aur tujh hi se madad talab karte hain. " to Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: Ye mere aur mere bande ke darmiyan hai aur mere bande ke liye wohi hai jis ka us ne sawal kiya. "
Walid bin Kathir ki hadees mein hai ki jab banda kehta hai: {Maliki Yawmid-Deen} " Qayamat ke din ka malik hai. " to Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: Mere bande ne meri azmat bayan ki. Ye mere liye hai aur baqi mere bande ke liye hai. Jab banda kehta hai: {Iyyaka Na'budu Wa Iyyaka Nasta'een} phir poori Surah parhi.
(2928) Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Every prayer in which Surah Fatiha is not recited is deficient. Abu Sa'eed said: I said: O Abu Huraira! But I listen to the Imam's recitation. He said: O Persian! Or he said: O son of a Persian! Recite it silently to yourself.
(b) We have received narrations about reciting behind the Imam from a large group of Companions (RA), including the leader of the believers, Sayyiduna Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA).

(٢٩٢٨) سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہر وہ نماز جس میں سورة فاتحہ نہ پڑھی جائے وہ ناقص ہے۔ ابوسائب بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے کہا : اے ابوہریرہ ! میں تو امام کی قراءت سن رہا ہوتا ہوں تو انھوں نے فرمایا : اے فارسی ! یا فرمایا : اے فارسی کے بیٹے ! اس کو اپنے دل میں پڑھ لیا کر۔
(ب) صحابہ (رض) کی ایک بڑی جماعت جن میں امیرالمومنین سیدنا عمر بن خطاب (رض) بھی شامل ہیں سے ہمیں قرات خلف الامام کی روایات پہنچی ہیں۔
2928 Saidna Abu Huraira (RA) se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Har woh namaz jis mein Surah Fatiha na parhi jaye woh naqis hai. Abu Saib bayan karte hain keh maine kaha: Aye Abu Huraira! mein tou imam ki qirat sun raha hota hun tou unhon ne farmaya: Aye Farsi! ya farmaya: Aye Farsi ke bete! is ko apne dil mein parh liya karo.
(b) Sahaba (RA) ki ek badi jamat jin mein Ameerul Momineen Saidna Umar bin Khattab (RA) bhi shamil hain se humein qirat khalful imam ki riwayat pohchi hain.
Yazid bin Sharik narrates that he asked Umar (RA) about reciting behind the Imam, so he (RA) said: You must recite Surah Fatiha. I said: Even if the Imam is you? He said: Yes! Even if I am the Imam. I said: Even if you are reciting aloud? He said: Yes! Even if I am reciting aloud.

(٢٩٢٩) یزید بن شریک بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے حضرت عمر (رض) سے قرات خلف الامام کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ ضرور پڑھا کرو۔ میں نے کہا : اگرچہ امام آپ ہی ہوں ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : ہاں ! اگرچہ میں ہی ہوں ؟ میں نے کہا : اگرچہ آپ اونچی قرات کر رہے ہوں ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہاں ! اگرچہ میں اونچی آواز میں قرات کررہا ہوں۔
2929 Yazeed bin Shareek bayan karte hain ke unhon ne Hazrat Umar (RA) se qirat khalful imam ke baare mein poocha to aap (RA) ne farmaya: Surah Fatiha zaroor parha karo. Maine kaha: Agarche imam aap hi hon? Unhon ne farmaya: Haan! Agarche mein hi hon? Maine kaha: Agarche aap oonchi qirat kar rahe hon? Unhon ne kaha: Haan! Agarche mein oonchi aawaz mein qirat kar raha hon.
Ibrahim bin Muhammad narrated from his father that he heard from a man from Banu Tamim, who used to make necklaces, that Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “There is no prayer without reciting Surat al-Fatihah and something else with it (part of the Quran)." The man said: "I said: ‘What is your opinion about this when I am behind the Imam?’” He said: “Recite it in your heart.”

(٢٩٣١) ابراہیم بن محمد اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے بنو تمیم کے ایک شخص سے سنا جو ہار بنایا کرتا تھا کہ عمر بن خطاب (رض) نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ اور اس کے ساتھ مزید کچھ (قرآن کا حصہ) پڑھے بغیر نماز نہیں ہوتی۔ وہ آدمی کہتا ہے کہ میں نے کہا : جب میں امام کے پیچھے ہوں تو اس بارے میں آپ کا کیا خیال ہے ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : اپنے دل میں اس (فاتحہ) کو پڑھ لیا کرو۔
2931 ibrahim bin muhammad apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki unhon ne banu tameem ke ek shakhs se suna jo haar banaya karta tha ki umar bin khattab (rz) ne farmaya : sura fatiha aur iske sath mazeed kuchh (quran ka hissa) padhe baghair namaz nahin hoti. wo aadmi kahta hai ki maine kaha : jab main imam ke peechhe hun to is bare mein aap ka kya khayal hai ? unhon ne farmaya : apne dil mein is (fatiha) ko padh liya karo.
(2932) Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi narrated from Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (may Allah be pleased with him) used to command or encourage reciting Surah Fatiha and another Surah behind the Imam in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and Asr prayers, and he used to command reciting only Surah Fatiha in the last two rak'ahs.

(٢٩٣٢) عبیداللہ بن ابو رافع سیدنا علی (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ (رض) ظہر و عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ اور ایک سورت مزید پڑھنے کا حکم یا ترغیب دیا کرتے تھے اور بعد والی دو رکعتوں میں صرف سورة فاتحہ پڑھنے کا حکم دیا کرتے تھے۔
2932 Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi Sayyidina Ali (Razi Allah Anhu) se riwayat karte hain ki aap (Razi Allah Anhu) Zuhr o Asr ki pehli do rakaton mein Imam ke peechhe Surah Fatiha aur ek Surah mazeed padhne ka hukum ya targhib diya karte the aur bad wali do rakaton mein sirf Surah Fatiha padhne ka hukum diya karte the.
(2933) (a) It is narrated from Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Imam and the follower should recite Surah Fatiha and another Surah in the first two rak'ahs, while in the last two rak'ahs, they should only recite Surah Fatiha. Among them is also Ibadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him).
The narration of Ubaydullah bin Abi Rafi' from Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is established, he was his scribe.
(b) It has been narrated to us from Hammad and Hukm, that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to instruct to recite Surah Fatiha behind the Imam.

(٢٩٣٣) (ا) سیدنا علی (رض) اور حضرت جابر (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ امام اور مقتدی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں سورة فاتحہ اور کوئی دوسری سورت پڑھیں جب کہ بعد والی دو رکعتوں میں صرف سورة فاتحہ پڑھیں۔ ان میں عبادہ بن صامت (رض) بھی ہیں۔
عبیداللہ بن ابی رافع کا سیدنا علی (رض) سے سماع ثابت ہے، وہ آپ کے کاتب تھے۔
(ب) ہمیں حماد اور حکم کے واسطہ سے روایت بیان کی گئی کہ حضرت علی (رض) امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ پڑھنے کا حکم دیتے تھے۔

Mahmoud bin Rabī' narrates: I heard Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting Surah Fatiha behind the Imam, so I asked him, "Do you recite behind the Imam as well?" Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "There is no prayer without recitation."

(٢٩٣٤) محمود بن ربیع بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا عبادہ بن صامت (رض) کو امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ پڑھتے ہوئے سنا تو میں نے انھیں کہا کہ آپ امام کے پیچھے بھی قراءت کرتے ہیں ؟ سیدنا عبادہ (رض) نے کہا : قراءت کے بغیر کوئی نماز نہیں ہوتی۔
(2934) Mahmud bin Rabih bayan karte hain ki maine Sayyidina Ubadah bin Samit (RA) ko Imam ke peeche Surah Fatiha parhte hue suna to maine unhen kaha ki aap Imam ke peeche bhi qiraat karte hain? Sayyidina Ubadah (RA) ne kaha: Qiraat ke baghair koi namaz nahi hoti.
Narrated Ubadah bin Samit (RA): He saw a person offering prayer but he was neither performing bowing properly nor prostration. Ubadah went to that person, caught hold of his hand and said (addressing other people), "Do not follow his prayer, for there is no prayer without Surah Fatiha. If you are behind an Imam, recite it in your heart; and if you are offering prayer alone, then confine your voice to your ears, and do not trouble those who are on your right and left (by reciting loudly). This is a famous opinion of Ubadah (RA), and amongst them is also Abi bin Ka'b (RA).

(٢٩٣٥) سیدنا عبادہ بن صامت (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ انھوں نے ایک شخص کو نماز پڑھتے دیکھا جو نہ رکوع مکمل کررہا تھا اور نہ سجدے ۔ عبادہ اس شخص کے پاس آئے، اس کا ہاتھ پکڑا اور (دیگر لوگوں سے مخاطب ہوئے) فرمایا : اس کی نماز کی اتباع نہ کرو کیونکہ سورة فاتحہ کے بغیر نماز نہیں ہوتی۔ اگر تم امام کے پیچھے ہو تو اس کو اپنے دل میں پڑھا کرو اور اگر علیحدہ نماز پڑھ رہے ہو تو اپنی آواز صرف اپنے کانوں تک محدود رکھو اور اپنے دائیں بائیں والوں کو (اونچا پڑھ کر) تکلیف مت دو ۔ اس بارے میں عبادہ (رض) کا مذہب مشہور ہے، ان میں ابی بن کعب (رض) بھی ہیں۔
2935 Syedna Ubadah bin Samit (RA) se riwayat hai ki unhon ne aik shakhs ko namaz parhte dekha jo na ruku mukammal kar raha tha aur na sajde. Ubadah us shakhs ke pass aaye, uska hath pakra aur (degar logon se mukhatib hue) farmaya: Iski namaz ki ittiba na karo kyunki Surah Fatiha ke baghair namaz nahi hoti. Agar tum imam ke peeche ho to isko apne dil mein parha karo aur agar alag namaz parh rahe ho to apni awaz sirf apne kanon tak mahdood rakho aur apne daen baen walon ko (ooncha parh kar) takleef mat do. Is baare mein Ubadah (RA) ka mazhab mashhoor hai, un mein Abi bin Kab (RA) bhi hain.
(2936) Narrated Abdullah bin Abi Hazil: I asked Ubai bin Ka'b (RA): Should I recite (Quran) behind the Imam? He said: Yes, recite.

(٢٩٣٦) عبداللہ بن ابی ہذیل بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابی بن کعب (رض) سے پوچھا : میں امام کے پیچھے قرات کروں ؟ انھوں نے جواب دیا : ہاں قرات کرو۔
2936 Abdullah bin Abi Hazil bayan karte hain ke maine Ubayy bin Ka'b (RA) se poocha: mein Imam ke peeche qirat karoon? Unhon ne jawab diya: Haan, qirat karo.
(2937) It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Zayd Asadi that I offered prayer behind the Imam along with Abdullah bin Masud (may Allah be pleased with him). I heard him reciting (Quran) in Zuhr and Asr prayers. Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) is also included in this narration.

(٢٩٣٧) عبداللہ بن زیاد اسدی سے روایت ہے کہ میںـ نے حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود (رض) کے پہلو میں امام کے پیچھے نماز ادا کی تو میں نے انھیں ظہر اور عصر میں قراءت کرتے سنا۔ ان میں معاذ بن جبل (رض) بھی ہیں۔
(2937) Abdullah bin Ziyad Asadi se riwayat hai ki main ne Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (RA) ke pahlu mein Imam ke peeche namaz ada ki to main ne unhen Zuhar aur Asr mein qirat karte suna. Un mein Muaz bin Jabal (RA) bhi hain.
Abu Faiz narrated that I heard Abu Shaybah Mihri saying: A man asked Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) about the recitation behind the Imam. He said: When the Imam recites aloud, then recite Surah Fatihah and Surah Ikhlas (Say: He is Allah, the One). And when it is a silent prayer, then recite Surah Fatihah in your heart and do not disturb those on your right and left. Among them is Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).

(٢٩٣٨) ابو فیض سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے ابو شیبہ مہری کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ ایک آدمی نے معاذ بن جبل (رض) سے امام کے پیچھے قرات کے بارے پوچھا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : جب امام جہراً قرات کرے تو سورة ہ فاتحہ اور { قُلْ ہُوَ اللَّہُ أَحَدٌ} پڑھ لے اور جب سری نماز ہو تو بھی اپنے دل میں سورة فاتحہ پڑھ اور اپنے دائیں بائیں والوں تکلیف نہ دے۔ ان میں عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) ہیں۔
2938 Abu Faiz se riwayat hai ki maine Abu Sheeba Mehri ko farmate hue suna ki ek aadmi ne Moaz bin Jabal (RA) se imam ke peeche qirat ke bare pucha to unhon ne farmaya: Jab imam jahran qirat kare to Surah Fatiha aur {Qul Huwallahu Ahad} padh le aur jab sirri namaz ho to bhi apne dil mein Surah Fatiha padh aur apne daen baen walon takleef na de. In mein Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) hain.
(2940) (a) It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A.) that one should not leave reciting Surah Fatiha behind the Imam in every Rakat, whether the Imam recites aloud or silently.
(b) Among them are Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab, Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas (R.A.). The narration of Abu Az-Dahhak through Abu A’la on the authority of Ibn Umar (R.A.) has already passed.
(c) Mujahid said: “I heard Abdullah bin Umar and Ibn 'Abbas (R.A.) reciting behind the Imam.”

(٢٩٤٠) (ا) حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ امام کے پیچھے ہر رکعت میں سورة فاتحہ پڑھنا مت چھوڑو ، چاہے امام جہری قرات کرے یا سری کرے۔
(ب) ان میں حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر بن خطاب، عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص (رض) بھی ہیں، ابو ازہر ضبعی کی ابوعا لیہ کے واسطے سے ابن عمر (رض) کی روایت گزر چکی ہے۔
(ج) مجاہد فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن عمر اور ابن عتبہ (رض) کو امام کے پیچھے قراءت کرتے سنا۔
2940 A Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas RA se riwayat hai ki imam ke peeche har rakat mein Surah Fatiha parhna mat choro chahe imam jahri qirat kare ya siri kare
B In mein Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab Abdullah bin Amr bin al-Aas RA bhi hain Abu Aazhar Zabi ki Abu Ubaidah ke waste se Ibn Umar RA ki riwayat guzar chuki hai
C Mujahid farmate hain ki maine Abdullah bin Umar aur Ibn Utbah RA ko imam ke peeche qirat karte suna
Hisham reported that he prayed by the side of 'Abdullah b. 'Abdullah b. 'Utba and he heard him reciting (the Qur'an) behind the Imam. So he (Hisham) met Mujahid and made a mention of this to him whereupon he (Mujahid) said: I heard 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-'As (Allah be pleased with him) reciting the verses of Surat-ul-Maryam behind the Imam in the Zuhr prayer.

(٢٩٤١) حصین بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ کے پہلو میں نماز ادا کی تو میں نے انھیں امام کے پیچھے قرات کرتے سنا، چنانچہ میں مجاہد سے ملا تو ان کے سامنے میں نے اس بات کا ذکر کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص (رض) کو امام کے پیچھے ظہر کی نماز میں سورة مریم کی آیات تلاوت کرتے سنا۔
(2941) Hiseen bayan karte hain ke maine Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utba ke pehlu mein namaz ada ki to maine unhen Imam ke peeche qirat karte suna, chunancha main Mujahid se mila to unke samne maine is baat ka zikar kiya to unhon ne farmaya ke maine Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (RA) ko Imam ke peeche Zuhar ki namaz mein Surah Maryam ki ayat tilawat karte suna.
(2942) (a) Husain says that I heard from Mujahid that he heard Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting behind the Imam in Zuhr and Asr prayers.
(b) Among them is Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) whose narration has already passed and among them is also Abu ad-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him).

(٢٩٤٢) (ا) حصین کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے مجاہد سے سنا کہ انھوں نے عبداللہ بن عمرو (رض) کو ظہر وعصر میں امام کے پیچھے قراءت کرتے سنا۔
(ب) ان میں سے ابوہریرہ (رض) ہیں جن کی روایت گزر چکی ہے اور انھیں میں سے ابود رداء (رض) بھی ہیں۔
2942 a Hiseen kehte hain ki maine Mujahid se suna ki unhon ne Abdullah bin Amro (RA) ko Zuhar o Asar mein Imam ke peeche qirat karte suna b In mein se Abu Hurairah (RA) hain jin ki riwayat guzar chuki hai aur inhi mein se Abu Burdah (RA) bhi hain
(2943) (a) Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Do not abandon Surah Fatiha behind the Imam, whether he recites aloud or silently.” These are the words of many.
(b) Ali and Ibn Abi Hawari added: “Even if you bow after reciting it.”
(c) Amr alone added: “If the Imam is in bowing, then recite Surah Fatiha, provided you are sure that you will complete it to the end (i.e., you will recite it in full).”
(d) Among them is Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him).

(٢٩٤٣) (ا) سیدنا ابودرداء (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ چاہے امام جہری قراءت کرے یا سری ، امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ نہ چھوڑنا۔ یہ بہت سوں کے الفاظ ہیں۔
(ب) علی اور ابن ابی حواری نے اضافہ کیا ہے :” اگرچہ تو پڑھ کر رکوع کرلے۔ “
(ج) اکیلے عمرو نے یہ اضافہ کیا ہے : اگر امام رکوع میں ہو تو سورة فاتحہ پڑھ لے جب کہ تجھے یقین ہو کہ تو اس کو آخر تک پالے گا (یعنی مکمل پڑھ لے گا) ۔
(د) ان میں سے جابر بن عبداللہ انصاری (رض) بھی ہیں۔

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RA): We used to recite Surat-al-Fatiha and another Surah with it behind the Imam in the first two rak'ahs of the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers, and recite only Surat-al-Fatiha in the last two rak'ahs. Among them was Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (RA).

(٢٩٤٤) سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ ہم ظہر اور عصر میں کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ اور ساتھ کوئی اور سورت پڑھتے اور پچھلی دو رکعتوں میں صرف سورة فاتحہ پڑھتے۔ ان میں سے ابو سعید خدری (رض) ہیں۔
2944 Saidna Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) se riwayat hai ki hum Zuhr aur Asr mein ki pehli do rakaton mein Imam ke peeche Surah Fatiha aur sath koi aur surat parhte aur pichli do rakaton mein sirf Surah Fatiha parhte In mein se Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) hain
Abu Nadrah said: I asked Abu Sa'eed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) about reciting behind the Imam. He said: Recite Surah Fatihah.
Among them is Hisham ibn 'Amir (may Allah be pleased with him).

(٢٩٤٥) ابو نضرۃ فرماتے ہیں : میں نے سیدنا ابو سعید خدری (رض) سے امام کے پیچھے قراءت کے بارے سوال کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ پڑھو ۔
ان میں سے ہشام بن عامر (رض) ہیں۔
(2945) abu nazra farmate hain : main ne sayyidna abu saeed khudri (raz) se imam ke peechhe qirat ke bare sawal kiya to unhon ne farmaya : surah fatiha parho .
in mein se hisham bin aamir (raz) hain.
(2946) Hamid bin Hilal reported that Hisham bin 'Amir recited Surah Fatiha behind the Imam. So someone said to him, "Do you recite behind the Imam too?" He replied, "We do." Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) was among them.

(٢٩٤٦) حمید بن ہلال بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہشام بن عامر نے امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ پڑھی تو کسی نے ان سے کہا : کیا آپ امام کے پیچھے بھی پڑھتے ہیں ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہم تو ایسا کرتے ہیں۔
ان میں سے انس بن مالک (رض) ہیں۔
2946 Hameed bin Hilal bayan karte hain ki Hisham bin Aamir ne Imam ke peechhe Surah Fatiha parhi to kisi ne un se kaha kya aap Imam ke peechhe bhi parhte hain unhon ne kaha hum to aisa karte hain In mein se Anas bin Malik RA hain
(2947) (a) It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Thabit (RA) that Sayyidina Anas (RA) used to order us to recite behind the Imam. Thabit says: I used to stand by the side of Sayyidina Anas (RA) and he used to recite Surah Fatiha and a Surah from the Mufassal (Surahs with long verses) and he used to make us hear his recitation so that we could learn from him.
(b) This Hadith has been narrated by Ibn Khuzayma in "Qira'at Khalfil Imam" from Ahmad bin Saeed Darmi.

(٢٩٤٧) (ا) سیدنا ثابت (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا انس (رض) ہمیں امام کے پیچھے بھی قراءت کرنے کا حکم دیا کرتے تھے۔ ثابت کہتے ہیں : میں سیدنا انس (رض) کے پہلو میں کھڑا ہوا کرتا تھا تو وہ سورة فاتحہ اور مفصلات میں سے ایک سورت پڑھا کرتے تھے اور ہمیں اپنی قراءت سنایا بھی کرتے تھے تاکہ ہم ان سے یاد کرلیں۔
(ب) اس حدیث کو ابن خزیمہ نے ” قراء ۃ خلف الامام “ میں احمد بن سعید دارمی سے روایت کیا ہے۔
(2947) (a) Syedna Sabit (RA) se riwayat hai ke Syedna Anas (RA) humain Imam ke peeche bhi qirat karne ka hukum diya karte thay. Sabit kehte hain : mein Syedna Anas (RA) ke pehlu mein khara hua karta tha to woh Surah Fatiha aur Mufassal mein se aik surat parha karte thay aur humain apni qirat sunaya bhi karte thay taake hum un se yaad kar len.
(b) Iss hadees ko Ibn Khuzayma ne "Qira'at Khalfil Imam" mein Ahmed bin Saeed Darmi se riwayat kiya hai.
(2949) (a) It is narrated from 'Umar bin Abi Sahim that 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him), a companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), used to teach us that we should recite Surah Fatihah and another Surah in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr behind the Imam, and only Surah Fatihah in the last two rak'ahs.
(b) Among them is Sayyidah 'Aishah Siddiqah bint Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with her), and she narrates from her father as well.

(٢٩٤٩) (ا) عمر بن ابی سحیم سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے صحابی عبداللہ بن مغفل (رض) ہمیں سکھایا کرتے تھے کہ ہم امام کے پیچھے ظہر اور عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں سورة فاتحہ اور ایک سورت پڑھیں اور پچھلی دو رکعتوں میں صرف سورة فاتحہ پڑھیں۔
(ب) ان میں سیدہ عائشہ صدیقہ بنت صدیق اکبر (رض) بھی ہیں اور وہ اپنے والد سے بھی روایت کرتی ہیں۔
2949 a umar bin abi sahim se riwayat hai ki rasool allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sahabi abdullah bin mughfal raz hamen sikhaya karte the ki hum imam ke piche zuhar aur asar ki pehli do rakaton mein surah fatiha aur ek surat padhen aur pichli do rakaton mein sirf surah fatiha padhen
b in mein sayyidah aisha siddiqa bint sadiq akbar raz bhi hain aur wo apne walid se bhi riwayat karti hain
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha and Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with them) that they both used to instruct the recitation (of Quran) behind the Imam when the Imam would be offering prayer silently.

(٢٩٥٠) سیدہ عائشہ اور سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ یہ دونوں امام کے پیچھے قراءت کا حکم دیتے تھے جب امام سری نماز پڑھا رہا ہو۔
(2950) Syeda Ayesha aur Syedna Abu Hurairah (RA) se manqol hai keh yeh donon Imam ke peeche qirat ka hukum dete thay jab Imam siri namaz parha raha ho.
Abu Saleh Dhakwan narrated from both Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that both of them ordered the recitation of Surah Fatiha and some portion of the Quran behind the Imam in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and Asr prayers. And Aisha, the truthful (may Allah be pleased with her), would recite only Surah Fatiha in the last two rak'ahs.

(٢٩٥١) ابو صالح ذکوان حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) اور سیدہ عائشہ (رض) دونوں سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ یہ دونوں ظہر اور عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ اور قرآن کا کچھ حصہ پڑھنے کا حکم دیتی تھیں اور عائشہ صدیقہ (رض) بعد والی دو رکعتوں میں صرف سورة فاتحہ پڑھتی تھیں۔
2951 abu saleh zakwan hazrat abu hurairah (rz) aur sayyida ayesha (rz) donon se riwayat karte hain ke ye donon zuhar aur asr ki pehli do rakaton mein imam ke peechhe surah fatiha aur quran ka kuchh hissa padhne ka hukum deti thin aur ayesha siddiqa (rz) baad wali do rakaton mein sirf surah fatiha parhti thin
(2952) (a) It is narrated from Ibn Jabir, Sa'id bin Abdulaziz and Abdullah bin Ala (may Allah be pleased with them) that Mak'hul used to say: Recite Surah Fatihah in a low voice in every rak'ah of Maghrib, Isha and Fajr prayers.
(b) Mak'hul said: Recite Surah Fatihah in a low voice in those prayers in which the Imam recites aloud. When the Imam recites Surah Fatihah and becomes silent, and if the Imam does not become silent, then recite Surah Fatihah before, with or after the Imam, but it is not permissible to omit it in any case.
(c) It has been narrated to us from Abu Salamah bin Abdur Rahman that take advantage of the Imam's silence.

(٢٩٥٢) (ا) ابن جابر، سعید بن عبدالعزیز اور عبداللہ بن علا (رض) تینوں سے منقول ہے کہ مکحول کہا کرتے تھے : مغرب، عشا اور فجر کی نمازوں کی ہر رکعت میں آہستہ آواز میں سورة فاتحہ پڑھا کرو ۔
(ب) مکحول نے فرمایا : سورة فاتحہ کو ان نمازوں میں آہستہ آواز سے پڑھ جن میں امام اونچی قراءت کرتا ہے۔ جب امام سورة فاتحہ پڑھے اور خاموش ہوجائے اور اگر امام خاموش نہ ہو تو سورة فاتحہ کی قراءت امام سے پہلے یا امام کے ساتھ یا اس کے بعد کسی بھی وقت کرلے لیکن کسی بھی صورت میں اسے چھوڑنا درست نہیں۔
(ج) ہمیں ابو سلمہ بن عبدالرحمن کے واسطے سے روایت بیان کی گئی ہے کہ امام کے خاموش ہونے کو غنیمت جانو ۔
(2952) (a) Ibne Jabar, Saeed bin Abdulaziz aur Abdullah bin Ala (rz) teeno se manqol hai ke Makhool kaha karte the: Maghrib, Isha aur Fajr ki namaazon ki har rakat mein aahista aawaz mein Surah Fatiha parha karo.
(b) Makhool ne farmaya: Surah Fatiha ko un namaazon mein aahista aawaz se parh jin mein Imam oonchi qirat karta hai. Jab Imam Surah Fatiha parhe aur khamosh hojae aur agar Imam khamosh na ho to Surah Fatiha ki qirat Imam se pehle ya Imam ke sath ya uske baad kisi bhi waqt karle lekin kisi bhi surat mein ise chhorna durust nahi.
(c) Hamein Abu Salma bin Abdur Rahman ke waste se riwayat bayan ki gai hai ke Imam ke khamosh hone ko ghanimat jaano.
(2953) (a) It is narrated from Sa'eed bin Jubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to say the takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and then the Imam (prayer leader) would remain silent for a while and not recite (the Quran) for as long as it would take him (Sa'eed) to recite Surah Fatiha.
(b) Abdur Razzaq said that Ibn Juraij, in his narration, reports through Ibn Khathim that Sa'eed bin Jubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when he would say the takbeer (Allahu Akbar) he (the Imam) would not start reciting (the Quran) until he knew that those behind him had finished reciting Surah Fatiha.

(٢٩٥٣) (ا) سعید بن جبیر (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ یہ بات گزرچکی ہے کہ جب وہ تکبیر کہتے تھے تو امام کچھ دیر خاموش رہتا قرات نہ کرتا اتنی دیر تک کہ جتنی دیر میں وہ سورة فاتحہ پڑھ لیں۔
(ب) عبدالرزاق کہتے ہیں کہ ابن جریج اپنی حدیث میں ابن خثیم کے واسطہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ سعید بن جبیر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ جب وہ تکبیر کہتے تو اس وقت تک قراءت شروع نہ کرتے جب تک انھیں علم نہ ہوجاتا کہ ان کے پیچھے والوں نے سورة فاتحہ پڑھ لی ہے۔
2953 a Saeed bin Jubair raz se riwayat hai ki yeh baat guzar chuki hai ki jab wo takbeer kehte thay to imam kuch dair khamosh rehta qirat na karta itni dair tak ki jitni dair mein wo sura fatiha parh lein
b abdurrazzaq kehte hain ki ibn juraij apni hadees mein ibn kaseem ke wasita se bayan karte hain ki saeed bin jubair raz farmate hain ki jab wo takbeer kehte to us waqt tak qirat shuru na karte jab tak unhen ilm na hojata ki unke peeche walon ne sura fatiha parh li hai
Hisham bin Urwah narrated from his father that he said: "O my dear son! Recite (Surah Fatihah) behind the Imam when he is silent (in prayer), for there is no prayer without Surah Fatihah."

(٢٩٥٤) ہشام بن عروہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے فرمایا : اے میرے پیارے بیٹو ! امام کے سکتہ میں (فاتحہ) پڑھ لیا کرو، کیونکہ سورة فاتحہ کے بغیر نماز نہیں ہوتی۔
2954 Hisham bin Urwah apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki unhon ne farmaya: Aye mere pyaare beto! Imam ke sukteh mein Fatiha padh liya karo, kyunki Surah Fatiha ke baghair namaz nahin hoti.
It is narrated from Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that one should (must) recite Surah Fatiha in one's heart in every prayer behind the Imam.

(٢٩٥٥) حسن بصری (رح) سے روایت ہے کہ امام کے پیچھے ہر نماز میں اپنے دل میں سورة فاتحہ (ضرور) پڑھا کرو۔
(2955) Hasan Basri (rah) se riwayat hai ki imam ke peeche har namaz mein apne dil mein Surah Fatiha (zaroor) parha karo.
It is narrated from Shabi that in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and Asr prayers, recite Surah Fatihah and another Surah behind the Imam, and in the last two rak'ahs, recite only Surah Fatihah.

(٢٩٥٦) شعبی سے منقول ہے کہ ظہر اور عصر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں امام کے پیچھے سورة فاتحہ اور کوئی سورت پڑھ لو اور آخری دو رکعتوں میں سورة فاتحہ پڑھو۔
2956 Shobay se manqol hai kay Zuhar aur Asar ki pehli do rakaton mein Imam ke peechay Surah Fatiha aur koi surat parh lo aur akhri do rakaton mein Surah Fatiha parho.
