Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When you hear a dog barking or a donkey braying at night, then seek refuge in Allah from Satan, for they see what you do not see. And minimize going out when the night becomes still, for Allah Almighty spreads out His creation in it as He wills. And close your doors and mention the name of Allah over them, for Satan does not open a door that is closed and the name of Allah has been mentioned over it. And cover your vessels, turn over your containers, and tie the mouths of your waterskins."
جابر بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم رات کو کتے کے بھونکتے یا گدھے کے رینکے کی آواز سنو تو شیطان سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگو کیونکہ وہ ایسی چیزیں دیکھتے ہیں جو تم نہیں دیکھ سکتے۔ اور جب رات پڑ جائے تو باہر نکلنے سے گریز کرو کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ اس میں اپنی مخلوق کو پھیلاتا ہے جیسا کہ وہ چاہتا ہے۔ اپنے دروازے بند کرو اور ان پر اللہ کا نام لو کیونکہ شیطان اس دروازے کو نہیں کھول سکتا جس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو۔ اور اپنے برتنوں کو ڈھانپ لو، اپنے مشکیزوں کے منہ بند کر دو۔"
Jibir bin Abdullah ne bayan kya keh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum raat ko kutte ke bhunkte ya gadhe ke renke ki aawaz suno to shaitan se Allah ki panaah maango kyunkay woh aisi cheezain dekhte hain jo tum nahin dekh sakte. Aur jab raat par jaye to bahar nikalne se guraiz karo kyunkay Allah ta'ala usme apni makhlooq ko phelata hai jaisa keh woh chahta hai. Apne darwaze band karo aur unpar Allah ka naam lo kyunkay shaitan us darwaze ko nahin khol sakta jis par Allah ka naam liya gaya ho. Aur apne bartanoo ko dhanp lo, apne mashkizon ke munh band kar do."
Ibn Abbas narrated: A rat came and started to drag the wick. A young girl went to frighten it away, but the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Leave it alone.” It came with it (the wick) and threw it in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the small mat on which he was sitting, and it burned from it an area equal to the space of a Dirham. So he (ﷺ) said: “When you go to sleep, extinguish your lamps, for Satan guides the likes of this to the likes of this and burns you.”
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک چوہا آیا اور بتی کو گھسیٹنے لگا۔ ایک چھوٹی سی لڑکی اسے بھگانے کے لیے گئی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اسے چھوڑ دو"۔ چوہا بتی کو لے کر اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے اس چٹائی پر پھینک دیا جس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیٹھے تھے، اور اس سے ایک درہم کے برابر جگہ جل گئی۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم سونے لگو تو اپنے چراغ گل کر دیا کرو، کیونکہ شیطان اس جیسے کو اس جیسے کے پاس لے جاتا ہے اور تمہیں جلا دیتا ہے"۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki ek chooha aaya aur bati ko ghasitne laga. Ek chhoti si larki use bhagane ke liye gayi to Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Ise chhor do". Chooha bati ko lekar Allah ke Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke samne us chatai par phenk diya jis par Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam baithe the, aur us se ek dirham ke barabar jagah jal gayi. To Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum sone lago to apne chirag gul kar diya karo, kyunki shaitan is jaise ko is jaise ke paas le jata hai aur tumhen jala deta hai".
Abu Musa narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Fire is your enemy, so when you go to sleep, extinguish it."
حضرت ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ آگ تمہاری دشمن ہے، لہٰذا جب تم سونے جاؤ تو اسے بجھا دیا کرو۔
Hazrat Abu Musa Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ki aag tumhari dushman hai, lihaza jab tum sone jao to use bujha diya karo.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever sleeps with a bucket in his hand and something happens to it, let him only blame himself."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جو کوئی اپنے ہاتھ میں ڈول لے کر سوئے اور اسے کچھ ہو جائے تو وہ اپنے سوا کسی اور کو الزام نہ دے۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu riwayat karte hain keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jo koi apne hath mein dol le kar soye aur use kuchh ho jaye to woh apne siwa kisi aur ko ilzaam na de."
Al-Bara' said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lay down to sleep, he would place his right hand under his right cheek, then he would say, "O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants."
حضرت براء رضہ اللہ تعالی عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب سونے کے لیے لیٹتے تو اپنا داہنا ہاتھ اپنے داہنے رخسار کے نیچے رکھ لیتے اور یہ دعا مانگتے: "یا اللہ! میں اس دن تیری عذاب سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں جس دن تو اپنے بندوں کو اٹھائے گا۔"
Hazrat Bara raza Allahu taala anhu ne bayan kiya keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam jab sone ke liye lait te to apna dahna hath apne dahne rukhsar ke neeche rakh lete aur ye dua mangte Ya Allah mein is din teri azab se teri panah mangta hun jis din tu apne bandon ko uthaye ga
Al-Bara' reported the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say when he went to bed, placing his right hand under his right cheek, “O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants.”
حضرت البراء رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے تو اپنے دائیں ہاتھ کو اپنے داہنے رخسار کے نیچے رکھتے اور فرماتے: ”اے اللہ! جس دن تو اپنے بندوں کو اٹھائے گا اس دن مجھے اپنی عذاب سے پناہ عطا فرما۔“
Hazrat al-Bara Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab apne bistar par laitay to apne daen hath ko apne dahne rukhsar ke neechay rakhtay aur farmatay: “Aye Allah! Jis din tu apne bandon ko uthaye ga uss din mujhe apni azab se panah ata farma.”
Ali ibn Abi Talib reported: A woman came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, complaining about her handmill and she was told that the Prophet had been brought captives (as slaves). She came to the Prophet to ask him for a servant, but she did not find him and met Aisha. She told her the story. When the Prophet came, Aisha informed him about it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us when we had already gone to our beds. He said, "Stay where you are." And he sat down between us until I felt the coldness of his feet on my chest. He said, "Shall I not tell you of something better than what you have asked me? You should say thirty-three times Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah), and thirty-three times Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), and thirty-four times Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest), when you go to your beds, for that is better for you than a servant."
حضرت علی ابن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک عورت نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئی اور اپنی چکی کی شکایت کی اور اسے بتایا گیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو قیدی (غلاموں کے طور پر) لایا گیا ہے۔ وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک خادم مانگنے آئی تھی لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نہ پایا اور حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے ملاقات ہوئی۔ اس نے اپنی کہانی سنائی۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے تو حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس کی اطلاع دی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے جب ہم اپنے بستر پر جا چکے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "جہاں ہو وہیں رہو۔" اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے درمیان بیٹھ گئے یہاں تک کہ میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاؤں کی ٹھنڈک اپنے سینے پر محسوس کی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "کیا میں تمہیں اس چیز سے بہتر چیز نہ بتاؤں جو تم نے مجھ سے مانگی ہے؟ تم جب اپنے بستر پر جاؤ تو تینتیس بار سبحان اللہ، اور تینتیس بار الحمدللہ، اور چونتیس بار اللہ اکبر کہو، کیونکہ یہ تمہارے لیے ایک خادم سے بہتر ہے۔"
Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki ek aurat Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hui aur apni chakki ki shikayat ki aur use bataya gaya ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko qaidee (ghulamon ke tor par) laya gaya hai. Woh Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se ek khadim mangne aayi thi lekin aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko na paya aur Hazrat Aisha Radi Allahu Anha se mulaqat hui. Usne apni kahani sunayi. Jab Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam tashreef laye to Hazrat Aisha Radi Allahu Anha ne aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko iski ittila di. Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam hamare pass tashreef laye jab hum apne bistar par ja chuke thay. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, "Jahan ho wahin raho." Aur aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam hamare darmiyan baith gaye yahan tak ki maine aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paon ki thandak apne seene par mehsoos ki. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, "Kya main tumhen is cheez se behtar cheez na bataun jo tumne mujhse mangi hai? Tum jab apne bistar par jao to teentees bar Subhan Allah, aur teentees bar Alhamdulillah, aur chauntis bar Allahu Akbar kaho, kyunki yeh tumhare liye ek khadim se behtar hai."
Faraweh bin Naufal Ashja'i reported from his father that he entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Prophet of Allah, teach me something that I can say when I go to my bed." He said: "Recite: { قل يا أيها الكافرون } (Say, "O disbelievers) [109:1]".
فَرْوَةُ بْنُ نَوْفَلٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ . يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ عَلِّمْنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ مَضْجَعِي . قَالَ " اقْرَأْ { قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ } " .
Farwatu ibn Nawfalil Ashja'i an abihi annahu dakhala 'alal Nabi sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam faqal . Ya Nabi Allah 'allimni shay'an aqoluhu idha akhadhtu madja'i . Qal . Iqra' { Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun } .
Narrated Nawfal ibn Mu'awiya: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do you have a wet-nurse with us, so that Zaynab may suckle her?" He said: Then he came and the Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "Did you leave her with her mother?" He said: I left her with her mother. He said, "What brought you here?" He said: I came so that you may teach me something which I may recite at the time of my sleep. He said, "Recite: 'Say: O disbelievers....' (109:1) then sleep at its end, for it is a disavowal of polytheism."
نوفل بن معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کیا تمہارے پاس کوئی دودھ پلانے والی عورت ہے؟ تاکہ وہ زینب کو دودھ پلائے راوی کہتے ہیں پھر وہ ( ایک دن ) حاضر خدمت ہوئے تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا کیا تم نے اسے اس کی ماں کے پاس چھوڑ دیا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا میں نے اسے اس کی ماں کے پاس چھوڑ دیا ہے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا پھر تمہیں یہاں کیا لایا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا میں اس لیے حاضر ہوا ہوں کہ آپ مجھے کوئی ایسی چیز بتائیں جسے میں سوتے وقت پڑھوں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا '' قل یا ایھا الکافرون '' پڑھو ( سورۃ الکافرون ) اور اس کے آخر میں سو جایا کرو کیونکہ یہ شرک سے براء ت ہے۔
Nawfal bin Muawiya Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya kya tumhare paas koi doodh pilane wali aurat hai? taake woh Zainab ko doodh pilaye. Ravi kehte hain phir woh (ek din) hazir khidmat hue to Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne poocha kya tumne use uski maa ke paas chhod diya hai? Unhon ne kaha main ne use uski maa ke paas chhod diya hai. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne poocha phir tumhen yahan kya laya hai? Unhon ne kaha main is liye hazir hua hun ki aap mujhe koi aisi cheez bataen jise main sote waqt padhun. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya "Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun" padho (surat al kafiroon) aur iske akhir mein so jaya karo kyunki yeh shirk se bara'at hai.
Al-Bara' said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded a man that when he goes to his bed, and Ibn Kathir said: He advised a man to say: “O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, and I have turned my face to You, and I have entrusted my affair to You, out of desire for You and fear of You. There is no refuge or escape from You, except to You. I have believed in Your Book which You revealed and Your Prophet whom You sent. So, if I die, I die upon the natural religion (al-Fitrah).”
حضرت البراء رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کو یہ کہنے کا حکم دیا، اور ابن کثیر نے کہا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کو نصیحت فرمائی کہ جب تم اپنے بستر پر جاؤ تو کہو: «اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةً إِلَيْكَ، لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ، وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ، فَإِنْ مِتُّ فَإِنِّي أَمُوتُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ»
Hazrat al-Bara Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek shakhs ko yeh kehne ka hukum diya, aur Ibn Kathir ne kaha ki Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek shakhs ko nasihat farmaai ki jab tum apne bistar par jao to kaho: «Allahumma inni aslamtu nafsi ilaika, wa wajjahtu wajhi ilaika, wa fawwadtu amri ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika, la malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilaika, amantu bikitabikal-ladhi anzalta, wa binabiyyikal-ladhi arsalta, fa'in mittu fa'inni amutu 'alal-fitra»
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever says when he goes to his bed: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, His is the dominion and His is the praise and He is over all things competent. There is no might nor power except with Allah, Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. Allah has forgiven his sins or his mistakes, even if they are like the foam of the sea.” Mis’ar (one of the narrators) was doubtful whether (the Prophet) said: “Like the foam of the sea” or not.
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جو شخص اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے وقت یہ کہے: ’’الہ الا اللہ وحدہ لا شریک لہ، لہ الملک ولہ الحمد، وہو علی کل شیء قدیر، لا حول ولا قوۃ الا باللہ، سبحان اللہ والحمد للہ ولا الہ الا اللہ واللہ اکبر‘‘ اللہ اس کی خطائیں معاف فرما دے گا اگرچہ وہ سمندر کی جھاگ کے برابر ہوں"۔ حضرت مسعر (راوی حدیث) کو شک تھا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے "سمندر کی جھاگ کی طرح" کہا تھا یا نہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Akram Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs apne bistar par lait te waqt ye kahe: 'La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulku walahul hamd, wahuwa ala kulli shai'in qadir, la hawla wala quwwata illa billah, subhan Allah wal hamdulillah wala ilaha illallah wallahu akbar' Allah us ki khatayen maaf farma de ga agarche wo samundar ki jhaag ke barabar hon". Hazrat Mis'ar (rawi hadees) ko shak tha ki Nabi Akram Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne "samundar ki jhaag ki tarah" kaha tha ya nahi.
'Ali reported: Fatima came to the Prophet (ﷺ) requesting him for a servant. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Should I direct you to something which is better for you than that? When you go to your bed, say 'Subhan Allah' (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, and 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, and 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is Greatest) thirty-four times." 'Ali added, "I have never abandoned this since I heard (these words) from the Prophet (ﷺ)." They said, "Not even on the night (of the battle) of Siffin?" He said, "Not even on the night of Siffin."
حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئیں اور آپ سے ایک خادم کا سوال کیا۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا کیا میں تمہیں اس سے بہتر چیز نہ بتاؤں کہ جب تم اپنے بستر پر جاؤ تو تینتیس بار ’’سبحان اللہ‘‘ کہو اور تینتیس بار ’’الحمد للہ‘‘ کہو اور چونتیس بار ’’اللہ اکبر‘‘ کہو ۔ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب سے میں نے یہ کلمات نبی ﷺ سے سنے ہیں میں نے ان کو نہیں چھوڑا ۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ کیا جنگ صفین کی رات بھی نہیں چھوڑا ؟ کہا کہ جنگ صفین کی رات میں بھی نہیں چھوڑا ۔
Hazrat Ali radhi Allahu anhu se riwayat hai ki Hazrat Fatima radhi Allahu anha Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir huween aur aap se ek khadim ka sawal kiya Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya kya main tumhen is se behtar cheez na bataoon ki jab tum apne bistar par jao to tehtees bar Subhan Allah kaho aur tehtees bar Alhamdulillah kaho aur chountees bar Allahu Akbar kaho Hazrat Ali radhi Allahu anhu kehte hain ki jab se maine ye kalmat Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam se sune hain maine in ko nahin chhora Rawi kehte hain ki kya Jang Safeen ki raat bhi nahin chhora Kaha ki Jang Safeen ki raat mein bhi nahin chhora
'Aishah said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed at night, he would say, “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, the One, the Irresistible, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the Oft-Forgiving.”
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب رات میں نماز پڑھتے تو یہ دعا مانگتے: اللہ کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں وہ اکیلا ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں وہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور ان کے درمیان کی ہر چیز کا مالک ہے وہ سب پر غالب بخشنے والا ہے
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha bayan karti hain keh Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab raat mein namaz parhte toh yeh dua mangte: Allah ke siwa koi ibadat ke layeq nahi woh akela hai us ka koi sharik nahi woh aasmano aur zameen ka aur un ke darmiyan ki har cheez ka malik hai woh sab par ghalib bakhshne wala hai
Aisha reported: When the Prophet ﷺ woke up at night, he would say, “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Glory be to You, O Allah. I ask for Your forgiveness for my sins, and ask for Your Mercy. O Allah! Increase me in knowledge and do not let my heart deviate after You have guided me. Grant me mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Grantor.”
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب رات کو سوتے سے اٹھتے تو یہ دعا پڑھا کرتے تھے: "اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبودِ برحق نہیں، اے اللہ! تیری ہی ذات پاک ہے، میں تجھ سے اپنے گناہوں کی بخشش مانگتا ہوں اور تیری رحمت کا طلبگار ہوں۔ اے اللہ! مجھے علم میں اضافہ عطا فرما اور میرے دل کو اپنے راستے سے نہ بھٹکانا بعد اس کے کہ تو نے مجھے ہدایت دے دی ہے۔ مجھ پر اپنی رحمت فرما، بیشک تو بہت عطا فرمانے والا ہے"۔
Hazrat Aisha raziallahu anha bayan karti hain keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam jab raat ko sote se uthte to yeh dua parha karte the: "Allah ke siwa koi mabood e barhaq nahin, aye Allah! Teri hi zaat paak hai, main tujh se apne gunahon ki bakhshish mangta hun aur teri rehmat ka talabgar hun. Aye Allah! Mujhe ilm mein izafa ata farma aur mere dil ko apne raste se na bhatkana baad uske ke tu ne mujhe hidayat de di hai. Mujh par apni rehmat farma, beshak tu bohat ata farmane wala hai".
Hudhayfah reported: When the Prophet ﷺ would go to his bed, he would say, "O Allah, by Your name I live, and by Your name I die." And when he woke up, he would say, "Praise be to Allah Who gives us life after He has caused us to die, and to Him is the return."
حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب اپنے بستر پر تشریف لے جاتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: ''اللہم باسمك أحيا وباسمك أموت''۔ اور جب آپ ﷺ بیدار ہوتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: ''الحمد لله الذي أحيان بعد ما أماتنا وإليه النشور''۔
Hazrat Huzaifa Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab apne bistar par tashreef le jate to yeh dua parhte: Allahumma basmika ahya wa basmika amoot. Aur jab Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam bedaar hote to yeh dua parhte: Alhamdulillahillazi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin nushoor.
Jabir narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When a man goes to his bed, an angel and a devil come to him. The angel says, ‘End your day with good,’ and the devil says, ‘End your day with evil.’ If he remembers Allah and then sleeps, the angels will protect him. If he wakes up, the angel will say, ‘Begin your day with good,’ and the devil will say, ‘Begin your day with evil.’ If he says all praise is due to Allah, who has returned my soul to me and has not caused me to die in my sleep, all praise is due to Allah, who holds up the heavens and the Earth, lest they cease...' to the rest of the verse, '...all praise is due to Allah, who holds the heaven from falling on the Earth except by His permission. And if it were to fall, none could hold it but He.’ If he falls out of his bed and dies, then he will enter Paradise.”
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، "جب آدمی اپنے بستر پر جاتا ہے تو اس کے پاس ایک فرشتہ اور ایک شیطان آتا ہے۔ فرشتہ کہتا ہے کہ 'اپنے دن کا اختتام بھلائی پر کرو' اور شیطان کہتا ہے کہ 'اپنے دن کا اختتام برائی پر کرو'۔ اگر وہ اللہ کو یاد کرکے سوتا ہے تو فرشتے اس کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں۔ اگر وہ جاگتا ہے تو فرشتہ کہے گا کہ 'اپنے دن کا آغاز بھلائی سے کرو' اور شیطان کہے گا کہ 'اپنے دن کا آغاز برائی سے کرو'۔ اگر وہ کہے کہ ساری تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے میری روح مجھے لوٹا دی اور مجھے نیند میں موت نہیں دی، ساری تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جو آسمانوں اور زمین کو تھامے ہوئے ہے کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ وہ ختم ہو جائیں...' آیت کے آخر تک '...ساری تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جو آسمان کو زمین پر گرنے سے روکے ہوئے ہے سوائے اپنی مرضی کے اور اگر یہ گر پڑے تو اسے اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں روک سکتا۔' اگر وہ اپنے بستر سے گر کر مر جاتا ہے تو وہ جنت میں داخل ہوگا۔"
Jaber Raziallahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, "Jab aadmi apne bistar par jata hai to uske paas ek firishta aur ek shaitan aata hai. Firishta kahta hai ki 'apne din ka ikhtetam bhalai par karo' aur shaitan kahta hai ki 'apne din ka ikhtetam burai par karo'. Agar woh Allah ko yaad karke sota hai to firishte uski hifazat karte hain. Agar woh jagta hai to firishta kahega ki 'apne din ka aaghaz bhalai se karo' aur shaitan kahega ki 'apne din ka aaghaz burai se karo'. Agar woh kahe ki saari tareefain Allah ke liye hain jisne meri rooh mujhe lauta di aur mujhe neend mein maut nahi di, saari tareefain Allah ke liye hain jo aasmanon aur zameen ko thaame hue hai kahin aisa na ho ki woh khatam ho jayen...' aayat ke akhir tak '...saari tareefain Allah ke liye hain jo aasman ko zameen par girne se roke hue hai siwaye apni marzi ke aur agar yeh gir pade to use Allah ke siwa koi nahi rok sakta.' Agar woh apne bistar se gir kar mar jata hai to woh jannat mein dakhil hoga."
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “When one of you goes to his bed, let him take the inside of his lower garment and wipe his bed with it, and mention the name of Allah. He does not know what came after him on his bed. When he wants to lie down, let him lie down on his right side and say: ‘Glory be to You, my Rabb, with You I have laid down my side and with You I raise it. If You take my soul then have mercy on it, and if You release it then protect it with that which You protect Your righteous servants.’”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کوئی اپنے بستر پر جائے تو اپنی چادر کا اندرونی حصہ لے کر اس سے اپنا بستر صاف کر لے اور اللہ کا نام لے۔ وہ نہیں جانتا کہ اس کے بعد اس کے بستر پر کیا آیا ہوگا۔ اور جب لیٹنے لگے تو اپنے دائیں پہلو پر لیٹے اور کہے: ‘اے میرے رب! تیری ہی پاکیزگی ہے، میں نے تیرے ہی نام پر اپنا پہلو رکھا اور تیرے ہی نام پر اسے اٹھاؤں گا، اگر تو نے میری روح قبض کر لی تو اس پر رحم کرنا، اور اگر اسے چھوڑ دیا تو اس کی حفاظت کرنا جیسے اپنے نیک بندوں کی کرتا ہے۔“
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi apne bistar par jaye to apni chadar ka andaruni hissa le kar us se apna bistar saaf kar le aur Allah ka naam le. Woh nahi janta keh us ke baad us ke bistar par kya aaya hoga. Aur jab letne lage to apne dayen pehlu par lete aur kahe: ‘Aye mere Rab! Teri hi pakeezgi hai, maine tere hi naam par apna pehlu rakha aur tere hi naam par isay uthaunga, agar tune meri rooh qabz kar li to is par reham karna, aur agar isay chhor diya to is ki hifazat karna jaise apne nek bandon ki karta hai."
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you goes to his bed, let him take hold of the lower part of his izaar (waist sheet) and shake it, and dust off his bed with it, then let him lie down on his right side and say: 'With Your Name, O Allah, I lay down my side, and with You, I raise it. If You should take my soul while I am asleep, then have mercy on it, and if You should release it, then protect it with that which You protect Your righteous slaves."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی اپنے بستر پر جائے تو اپنے تہبند کا نیچے کا حصہ پکڑ کر اسے جھاڑ لے اور اس سے اپنے بستر کو جھاڑ لے پھر اپنی دائیں کروٹ پر لیٹ جائے اور کہے: 'اے اللہ! تیرے نام پر میں اپنا پہلو رکھتا ہوں اور تیرے ہی نام پر اسے اٹھاؤں گا۔ اگر تو میری روح قبض کرلے جبکہ میں سوتا ہوں تو اس پر رحم کرنا اور اگر تو اسے واپس کر دے تو اس کی حفاظت کرنا جس طرح تو اپنے نیک بندوں کی حفاظت کرتا ہے۔"
Hazrat Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi apne bistar par jaye to apne tehband ka neeche ka hissa pakar kar use jhaar le aur us se apne bistar ko jhaar le phir apni daen karwat par lait jaye aur kahe: 'Aye Allah! Tere naam per mein apna pehlu rakhta hun aur tere hi naam per use uthaunga. Agar tu meri rooh qabz karle jab keh mein sota hun to us per reham karna aur agar tu use wapis kar de to us ki hifazat karna jis tarah tu apne naik bandon ki hifazat karta hai."
Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When you go to your bed, perform ablution like that for prayer, then lie down on your right side and say, 'O Allah, I have submitted my face to You, and I have entrusted my affair to You, and I have turned my back to You in hope and fear of You. There is no refuge or escape from You except to You. I have believed in Your Book which You revealed and in Your Prophet whom You sent.' Make it the last of your words." I said, "Should I memorize them - and Your Messenger whom You sent?" He said, "And in Your Prophet whom You sent."
حضرت البراء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم اپنے بستر پر جاؤ تو نماز کی طرح وضو کرو، پھر اپنے دائیں پہلو پر لیٹ جاؤ اور کہو: 'اے اللہ! میں نے اپنا چہرہ تیری طرف جھکا دیا اور میں نے اپنا معاملہ تیرے سپرد کر دیا اور میں تیرے انعام کی امید اور تیرے عذاب کے ڈر سے تیری طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں، تیرے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں، میں تیری نازل کردہ کتاب اور تیرے بھیجے ہوئے رسول پر ایمان لایا'۔" میں نے عرض کیا: "اور تیرے رسول پر؟" آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "اور تیرے بھیجے ہوئے رسول پر۔" اور یہ تمہارے آخری الفاظ ہوں۔"
Hazrat Al-Bara bin Azib Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum apne bistar par jao to namaz ki tarah wuzu karo, phir apne daen pehlu par lait jao aur kaho: 'Aye Allah! Maine apna chehra teri taraf jhuka diya aur maine apna mamla tere supurd kar diya aur mein tere inaam ki umeed aur tere azab ke darr se teri taraf rujoo karta hun, tere siwa koi ibadat ke layak nahin, mein teri nazil kardah kitab aur tere bheje huwe Rasool par iman laya'۔" Maine arz kiya: "Aur tere Rasool par?" Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Aur tere bheje huwe Rasool par." Aur yeh tumhare aakhri alfaz hon."
Suhayl said:
Abu Salih used to command us, when one of us wanted to sleep, that he should lie on his right side, then say: “O Allah, Lord of the heavens, and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Great Throne, our Lord and the Lord of everything, Splitter of the grain and the seed, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel and the Criterion, I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything You have grasp over. You are the First, there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, there is nothing after You. You are the Manifest, there is nothing above You. Settle our debt for us and enrich us so we will not be poor.” And he used to narrate that from Abu Huraira, from the Prophet (ﷺ).
سہیل نے کہا: ابو صالح ہمیں حکم دیتے تھے جب ہم میں سے کوئی سونے کا ارادہ کرتا تو وہ اپنے دائیں پہلو پر لیٹ جاتا اور کہتا: “اے اللہ! آسمانوں کے رب، اور زمین کے رب اور عرش عظیم کے رب! ہمارے رب اور ہر چیز کے رب! دانے اور بیج کو پھاڑنے والے! توریت، انجیل اور فرقان کے نازل کرنے والے! میں ہر اس چیز کے شر سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں جس پر تیری دسترس ہے، تو اول ہے تیرے قبل کچھ بھی نہیں اور تو آخر ہے تیرے بعد کچھ بھی نہیں اور تو ظاہر ہے تیرے اوپر کچھ بھی نہیں، ہمارا قرض ہم پر سے ادا فرما دے اور ہمیں غنی بنا دے تاکہ ہم محتاج نہ ہوں۔” اور وہ یہ حدیث حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے تھے اور وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔
Sohail ne kaha: Abu Saleh humain hukm dete the jab hum mein se koi sone ka irada karta to woh apne dayen pehlu par lait jata aur kehta: “Aye Allah! Aasmanon ke Rab, aur zameen ke Rab aur arsh azeem ke Rab! Hamare Rab aur har cheez ke Rab! Dane aur beej ko pharne wale! Taurat, Injeel aur Furqan ke nazil karne wale! Main har us cheez ke shar se teri panaah mangta hun jis par teri dastras hai, tu awal hai tere qabal kuchh bhi nahin aur tu akhir hai tere baad kuchh bhi nahin aur tu zahir hai tere upar kuchh bhi nahin, hamara qarz hum par se ada farma de aur humain ghani bana de taake hum muhtaaj na hon.” Aur woh ye hadees Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat karte the aur woh Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se.
Ibn 'Umar narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would say when he went to his bed: "All praise is due to Allah Who has provided me with clothing, given me shelter and fed me. All praise is due to Allah Who has bestowed favors upon me and granted me excellence. All praise is due to Allah Who has given me provision in abundance. All praise is due to Allah in all circumstances. O Allah, Rubb of everything and Owner of everything, and God of everything, You are everything, I seek Your protection from the Fire."
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: ’’سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جس نے مجھے کپڑا پہنایا، مجھے پناہ دی اور مجھے کھانا کھلایا، سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جس نے مجھ پر احسان کیا اور مجھے بزرگی عطا فرمائی، سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جس نے مجھے خوب رزق دیا، ہر حال میں اللہ ہی کی تعریف ہے، اے اللہ! ہر چیز کے رب اور ہر چیز کے مالک اور ہر چیز کے خدا، تو ہی ہر چیز ہے، میں تجھ سے آگ سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔‘‘
Hazrat Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab apne bistar par lait te to yeh dua parhte: ''Sab tareefain Allah hi ke liye hain jisne mujhe kapra pehnaya, mujhe panah di aur mujhe khana khilaya, sab tareefain Allah hi ke liye hain jisne mujh par ehsan kiya aur mujhe buzрги ata farmaee, sab tareefain Allah hi ke liye hain jisne mujhe khoob rizq diya, har haal mein Allah hi ki tareef hai, aye Allah! Har cheez ke Rabb aur har cheez ke malik aur har cheez ke Khuda, to hi har cheez hai, mein tujhse aag se panah mangta hun.''
Hudhayfah reported: When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went to his bed, he would say, “In your name, my Lord, I die and I live.” When he awoke, he would say, “Praise be to Allah who has given us life after He put us to death and to Him we will be gathered.”
حضرت حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ جب اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے تو یہ دعا کرتے: ”اے میرے رب تیرے نام کے ساتھ میں مرتا ہوں اور زندہ ہوتا ہوں“ اور جب جاگتے تو کہتے: ”ہر قسم کی تعریف اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے جس نے ہمیں موت دینے کے بعد زندہ کیا اور اسی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے۔“
Hazrat Huzaifa Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Akram SAW jab apne bistar par laitay to yeh dua karte: “Aye mere Rab tere naam ke sath mein marta hun aur zinda hota hun” aur jab jagtay to kehte: “Har qisam ki tareef Allah hi ke liye hai jisne hamein mout dene ke bad zinda kiya aur usi ki taraf laut kar jana hai.”
Anas narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would go to his bed, he would say: "Praise be to Allah Who has fed us and given us drink, and Who has been sufficient for us and given us shelter. How many are those for whom there is none to suffice them or give them shelter!"
حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے تو یہ دعا فرماتے: ''سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جس نے ہمیں کھانا کھلایا اور پانی پلایا اور ہمیں کافی ہو کر ہمیں پناہ دی، کتنے ہی ایسے ہیں جن کے لیے نہ کوئی کفایت کرنے والا ہے اور نہ ہی کوئی پناہ دینے والا‘‘۔
Hazrat Anas Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW jab apne bistar par lait te to ye dua farmate: ''Sab tareefain Allah hi ke liye hain jis ne hamen khana khilaya aur pani pilaya aur hamen kafi ho kar hamen panah di, kitne hi aise hain jin ke liye na koi kifayat karne wala hai aur na hi koi panah dene wala''
'Abd Allah ibn al-Harith said: When Ibn 'Umar went to his bed, he would say: "O Allah, You created my soul and You will take its life. To You belongs its death and its life. O Allah, if You take its life, then forgive it, and if You give it life, then protect it. O Allah, I ask You for well-being." A man from among his children said to him: "Did 'Umar used to say this?" He said: "Rather, a better man than 'Umar used to say it." And we think that he meant the Prophet ﷺ.
عبداللہ بن حارث کہتے ہیں کہ ابن عمر جب اپنے بستر پر جاتے تو کہتے: «اللہمّ أنت خلقت نفسی وأنت تتوفّاها، لک مماتها ومحياها، اللهم إن توفيتها فاغفر لها، وإن أحييتها فاحفظها، اللهمّ أسألك العافية»، ان کے صاحبزادوں میں سے ایک شخص نے ان سے کہا: کیا عمر یہ کہا کرتے تھے؟ کہا: بلکہ عمر سے بہتر آدمی کہا کرتے تھے، اور ہمارا خیال ہے کہ ان کی مراد نبی ﷺ تھی۔
Abdullah bin Haris kehte hain ki Ibn Umar jab apne bistar par jate to kehte: Allahumma anta khalaqta nafsi wa anta tawaffaha, laka mamatuha wa mahyaha, Allahumma in tawaffaitaha fa ighfir laha, wa in ahyaitaha fa ihfazha, Allahumma as'aluka al'afiyah. Un ke sahibzadon mein se ek shakhs ne un se kaha: kya Umar ye kaha karte the? Kaha: balke Umar se behtar aadmi kaha karte the, aur hamara khayal hai ki un ki murad Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) thi.
Al-Bara’ reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would say when he lay down to sleep, “O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, and I have turned my face to You, and I have entrusted my affair to You, out of desire and fear of You. There is no refuge or asylum from You except with You.”
البر اء رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب سونے کے لیے لیٹتے تو کہتے، ''اے اللہ! میں نے تیرے ہی آگے سپر ڈال دیا اور تیری ہی طرف منہ کر لیا اور اپنا معاملہ تیرے ہی سپرد کر دیا، تیری طرف رغبت اور تیرے ہی خوف کی وجہ سے، تیرے عذاب سے بچنے کی کوئی جگہ نہیں سوائے تیرے ہی دربار کے۔''
Albara razi Allahu anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam jab sone ke liye letete to kehte, ''Aye Allah! Main ne tere hi aage sar daal diya aur teri hi taraf munh kar liya aur apna mamla tere hi supurd kar diya, teri taraf ragbat aur tere hi khauf ki wajah se, tere azab se bachne ki koi jaga nahin siwae tere hi darbar ke.''
Aishah said: “When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep, he would put his hands together and blow into them, then recite: ‘Say: He is Allah, the One,’ and ‘Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak,’ and ‘Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.’ Then he would wipe them over his face, head, and the rest of his body.” Aqil said: “And I saw Ibn Shihab doing that.”
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب سونے لگتے تو اپنے ہاتھوں کو جوڑ کر ان میں پھونکتے اور پھر یہ سورتیں پڑھتے: ’’قل هو اللہ احد‘‘، اور ’’قل اعوذ برب الفلق‘‘ اور ’’قل اعوذ برب الناس‘‘۔ پھر ان سے اپنے چہرے، سر اور باقی بدن کا مسح فرماتے۔ عقیل کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن شہاب کو ایسا کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے۔
Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha kahti hain keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab sone lagte to apne hathon ko jod kar in mein phoonk te aur phir yeh surtein parhte: "Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad", aur "Qul A'udhu Bi Rabbi-l-Falaq" aur "Qul A'udhu Bi Rabbi-n-Nas". Phir in se apne chehre, sar aur baqi badan ka masah farmate. Aqil kahte hain keh maine Ibn Shahab ko aisa karte huye dekha hai.
Aisha reported: When the Prophet ﷺ went to his bed, he would cup his hands together and blow into them, reciting into them "Say: He is Allah, the One," "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak" and "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind." Then he would wipe them over whatever parts of his body he could reach, beginning with his head and face and then the rest of his body. He would do that three times.
آپؐ جب اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں کو ملا کر ان میں پھونکتے اور ان میں یہ سورتیں پڑھتے: ’’قل هو اللہ احد‘‘، ’’قل اعوذ برب الفلق‘‘ اور ’’قل اعوذ برب الناس‘‘ پھر ان سے اپنے جسم کے جن حصوں تک پہنچ سکتے ان پر پھیرتے، اپنے سر اور چہرے سے شروع کرتے اور پھر اپنے جسم کے باقی حصوں پر۔ وہ ایسا تین بار کرتے تھے۔
Aap jab apne bistar par laitay to apne donon hathon ko mila kar in mein phoonktay aur in mein yeh surtain parhtay: ''Qul hu Allah hu Ahad'', ''Qul auzu bi rabbil falaq'' aur ''Qul auzu bi rabbin nas'' phir in se apne jism ke jin hisson tak pahunch saktay in par phirtay, apne sar aur chehre se shuru kartay aur phir apne jism ke baqi hisson par. Wo aisa teen baar kartay thay.
Fara narrated that his father said: I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me something that I should recite when I lie down in my bed. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Recite: Say: O you disbelievers [Surat Al-Kafirun 109:1]”.
فراء نے اپنی والد سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کی : یا رسول اللہ! مجھے ایسی چیز بتائیے جو میں اپنے بستر پر لیٹتے وقت پڑھوں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” سورۃ الکافرون پڑھا کرو ۔ “
Faray ne apni walid se riwayat ki, kaha: Main Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz ki: Ya Rasul Allah! Mujhe aisi cheez bataiye jo main apne bistar per let'te waqt parhun. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Surah Al-Kafirun parrha karo."
Narrated Nawfal's son: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Shall we marry you to a young woman, Zainab, and she would suffice you?” He said: Then he went away and the Prophet ﷺ asked him: “What brought you?” He replied: I left her with her mother. He ﷺ said: “What brings you here then?”. He replied: I came so you could give me something to recite when I sleep. He ﷺ said: “Recite ‘Say: O disbelievers…’ then sleep at its end, for it is a disassociation from polytheism."
نوفل کے بیٹے رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "کیا ہم آپ کا نکاح ایک جوان عورت زینب سے کردیں اور وہ آپ کے لیے کافی ہوں گی؟" وہ کہتے ہیں کہ پھر وہ چلے گئے اور نبی ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا: "تمہیں کیا لایا؟" انہوں نے جواب دیا: میں نے انہیں ان کی والدہ کے پاس چھوڑ دیا ہے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "پھر تمہیں یہاں کیا لایا ہے؟"۔ انہوں نے جواب دیا: میں اس لیے آیا ہوں کہ آپ مجھے کچھ ایسا دیں جو میں سونے سے پہلے پڑھوں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "پڑھو ‘قل ياأيها الكافرون…’ پھر اس کے آخر میں سو جاؤ، کیونکہ یہ شرک سے براءت ہے۔"
Nofal ke bete Razi Allah Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: "Kya hum apka nikah ek jawan aurat Zainab se kar dein aur wo apke liye kafi hongi?" Wo kehte hain ki phir wo chale gaye aur Nabi SAW ne unse pucha: "Tumhe kya laya?" Unhon ne jawab diya: Maine unhe unki walida ke paas chhor diya hai. Ap SAW ne farmaya: "Phir tumhe yahan kya laya hai?". Unhon ne jawab diya: Main is liye aaya hun ki ap mujhe kuch aisa dein jo main sone se pehle parhun. Ap SAW ne farmaya: "Parho 'Qul ya ayyuhal kafirun…' phir iske akhir mein so jao, kyunki yeh shirk se bara'at hai."
Hisham ibn Urwa reported on the authority of his father: I heard `Aisha as I was speaking after the night prayer. She said: "O `Urwa! Will you not give rest to your scribe? Allah's Messenger ﷺ would not sleep before it, and would not engage in any talk after it."
ہشام بن عروہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں، کہتے ہیں: میں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو رات کی نماز کے بعد کچھ باتیں کرتے ہوئے سنا، تو انہوں نے کہا: اے عروہ! کیا تم اپنے لکھنے والے کو آرام نہ دو گے؟ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ اس (نماز) سے پہلے نہیں سوتے تھے، اور نہ ہی اس کے بعد کوئی بات چیت کرتے تھے۔
Hisham bin Urwa apne walid se riwayat karte hain, kahte hain: main ne Ayesha radi Allahu anha ko raat ki namaz ke baad kuchh baaten karte hue suna, to unhon ne kaha: Aye Urwa! kya tum apne likhne wale ko aaram na do ge? Allah ke Rasul is se pehle nahi sote the, aur na hi is ke baad koi baat cheet karte the.
Abu Barzah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade sleeping before the night prayer [Isha] and talking after it.
حضرت ابو برزہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عشاء کی نماز سے پہلے سونا اور عشاء کی نماز کے بعد بیٹھ کر باتیں کرنا منع فرمایا۔
Hazrat Abu Barzah Raziallahu Anhu se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne Isha ki namaz se pehle sona aur Isha ki namaz ke baad baith kar baatein karna mana farmaya.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a man lying flat on his stomach. He poked him with his foot and said, "Verily, this is a posture Allah does not love."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک شخص کے پاس سے گزرے جو اپنے پیٹ کے بل لیٹا ہوا تھا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے اپنے پاؤں سے سہلایا اور فرمایا بیشک یہ ایسا لیٹنے کا انداز ہے جسے اللہ تعالیٰ پسند نہیں فرماتا
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ek shakhs ke paas se guzre jo apne pet ke bal leta hua tha aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne use apne paaon se sahlaya aur farmaya beshak yeh aisa letne ka andaaz hai jise Allah Taala pasand nahin farmata
Yahya bin Abi Kathir narrated to us from Ibn Qais bin Tifl Al-Ghifari, from his father, that:
Allah's Messenger ﷺ came to us while we were in the row after the Maghrib prayer and said: "O so-and-so, go with so-and-so, and O so-and-so, go with so-and-so." until he sent five, I being the fifth of them. He then said: "Get up with me." So we did and we entered upon Aisha. That was before the Hijab was revealed. He then said: "O Aisha, feed us." So she brought a small amount of food. Then he said: "O Aisha, feed us." So she brought a small amount of dates. Then he said: "O Aisha, give us something to drink." So she brought a small bucket (of milk). He drank from it, then said: "O Aisha, give us something to drink." So she brought a similar bucket. Then he said: "If you wish, you can sleep here with us, and if you wish, you can go to the Masjid and sleep there." He said: So we slept in the Masjid, then Allah's Messenger ﷺ came to us at the end of the night and found me sleeping on my stomach. He kicked me with his foot and said: "What is with you and this sleep? This is a sleep that Allah hates or that Allah dislikes."
یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے ہمیں ابن قیس بن طفیل غفاری سے ان کے والد کی سند سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے جبکہ ہم مغرب کی نماز کے بعد صف میں تھے اور آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اے فلاں! فلاں کے ساتھ جاؤ اور اے فلاں! فلاں کے ساتھ جاؤ" یہاں تک کہ آپ ﷺ نے پانچ آدمیوں کو بھیجا اور میں ان میں پانچواں تھا۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "میرے ساتھ اٹھو" تو ہم آپ ﷺ کے ساتھ اٹھے اور ہم عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے ہاں داخل ہوئے۔ یہ حجاب کے ظاہر ہونے سے پہلے کا واقعہ ہے۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اے عائشہ! ہمیں کھانا کھلاؤ" تو وہ تھوڑا سا کھانا لائیں۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اے عائشہ! ہمیں کھانا کھلاؤ" تو وہ تھوڑی سی کھجوریں لائیں۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اے عائشہ! ہمیں پینے کے لیے کچھ دو" تو وہ دودھ کی چھوٹی سی بالٹی لائیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے اس میں سے پیا، پھر فرمایا: "اے عائشہ! ہمیں پینے کے لیے کچھ دو" تو وہ ایسی ہی بالٹی لائیں۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "اگر تم چاہو تو یہاں ہمارے ساتھ سو جاؤ اور اگر تم چاہو تو مسجد میں جا کر سو جاؤ" راوی کہتے ہیں: تو ہم مسجد میں سو گئے، پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ رات کے آخر میں ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اور مجھے پیٹ کے بل سوتا ہوا پایا۔ آپ ﷺ نے مجھے اپنے پاؤں سے لات ماری اور فرمایا: "تمہیں اور اس نیند کو کیا ہوگیا ہے؟ یہ ایسی نیند ہے جسے اللہ ناپسند کرتا ہے" ۔
Yahya bin Abi Kathir ne humain Ibn Qais bin Tufail Ghaffari se un ke walid ki sanad se riwayat ki keh Rasul Allah ﷺ humare pass tashreef laye jab keh hum Maghrib ki namaz ke baad saff mein thay aur Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Aye falan! Falan ke sath jao aur aye falan! Falan ke sath jao" yahan tak keh Aap ﷺ ne panch aadmiyon ko bheja aur main un mein panchwan tha. Phir Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Mere sath utho" to hum Aap ﷺ ke sath uthe aur hum Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha ke han dakhil huye. Yeh hijab ke zahir hone se pehle ka waqea hai. Phir Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Aye Ayesha! humain khana khilao" to woh thora sa khana layin. Phir Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Aye Ayesha! humain khana khilao" to woh thori si khajoorein layin. Phir Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Aye Ayesha! humain peene ke liye kuch do" to woh doodh ki chhoti si balti layin. Aap ﷺ ne us mein se piya, phir farmaya: "Aye Ayesha! humain peene ke liye kuch do" to woh aisi hi balti layin. Phir Aap ﷺ ne farmaya: "Agar tum chaho to yahan humare sath so jao aur agar tum chaho to masjid mein ja kar so jao" Ravi kehte hain: To hum masjid mein so gaye, phir Rasul Allah ﷺ raat ke akhir mein humare pass tashreef laye aur mujhe pet ke bal sota hua paya. Aap ﷺ ne mujhe apne paon se laat maari aur farmaya: "Tumhen aur iss neend ko kya hogaya hai? Yeh aisi neend hai jise Allah napasand karta hai".
Jabir narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "A person should not lie on his back with one leg raised over the other."
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "آدمی کو چاہیے کہ وہ ایک ٹانگ دوسری ٹانگ پر چڑھا کر لیٹے۔"
Hazrat Jabir Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Aadmi ko chahiye ki woh aik taang dusri taang par chadha kar lete."
Abbad ibn Tamim narrated from his paternal uncle, “That he saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) lying in the mosque, placing one of his legs over the other.”
عباد بن تمیم اپنے چچا کی طرف سے روایت کرتے ہیں، "انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو مسجد میں لیٹے ہوئے دیکھا، آپ ﷺ نے اپنا ایک پاؤں دوسرے پاؤں پر رکھا ہوا تھا۔"
Ibad bin Tamim apne chacha ki taraf se riwayat karte hain, "unhon ne Rasul Allah SAW ko masjid mein lete huye dekha, aap SAW ne apna ek paon dusre paon par rakha hua tha."
Jabir narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited wearing a single garment by wrapping it around the body under the armpits, leaving the private area uncovered and he prohibited a man from placing one leg over the other while lying on his back.
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس بات سے منع فرمایا کہ آدمی ایک ہی کپڑا لے کر اسے بغلوں کے نیچے سے لپیٹ لے اور ستر کھلا رہے اور آپ نے یہ بھی منع فرمایا کہ لیٹتے وقت ایک ٹانگ دوسری ٹانگ پر رکھی جائے
