Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When the call to prayer is announced, Satan turns away breaking wind so that he does not hear the call. When the call is finished, he returns until the iqamah is announced. When the iqamah is finished, he returns again until he whispers between a person and himself, saying, ‘Remember such and such,’ things he did not remember before, until the person does not know how much he has prayed.”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب نماز کے لیے اذان دی جاتی ہے تو شیطان پیٹھ پھیر کر اتنی زور سے ریح کرتا ہے کہ اذان نہ سن سکے، پھر جب اذان ہو چکتی ہے تو واپس آجاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب اقامت شروع ہوتی ہے تو پھر بھاگتا ہے، پھر جب اقامت ہو چکتی ہے تو واپس آ کر آدمی اور اس کے نفس کے درمیان وسوسہ ڈالتا ہے اور کہتا ہے کہ فلاں فلاں کام یاد کر فلاں فلاں کام یاد کر، جسے وہ پہلے یاد نہیں رکھتا تھا یہاں تک کہ آدمی کو یہ بھی یاد نہیں رہتا کہ کتنی رکعتیں پڑھ چکا ہے۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah RA se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: "Jab namaz ke liye azan di jati hai to shaitan peeth phair kar itni zor se reeh karta hai ki azan na sun sake, phir jab azan ho chukti hai to wapas aata hai yahan tak ki jab iqamat shuru hoti hai to phir bhagta hai, phir jab iqamat ho chukti hai to wapas aakar aadmi aur uske nafs ke darmiyan waswasa dalta hai aur kehta hai ki falan falan kaam yaad kar falan falan kaam yaad kar, jise wo pehle yaad nahi rakhta tha yahan tak ki aadmi ko ye bhi yaad nahi rehta ki kitni rakaten padh chuka hai."
Abu Qatadah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When the prayer is being established, then do not proceed until you see me and until calmness descends upon you."
حضرت ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب نماز قائم ہو جائے تو اس وقت تک (جلدی کر کے) آگے نہ بڑھو یہاں تک کہ تم مجھے دیکھ لو اور تم پر سکون و اطمینان طاری ہو جائے"۔
Hazrat Abu Qatadah Raziallahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab Namaz qaim ho jaye to us waqt tak (jaldi kar ke) aage na barho yahan tak ki tum mujhe dekh lo aur tum par sukoon o itminan tari ho jaye".
'Ata' said that Ibn 'Abbas said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The best of you are those who are best in their prayer."
حضرت عطاء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سے بہترین وہ ہے جو نماز میں بہترین ہو۔“
Hazrat Ata raziallahu anhu kehte hain ki Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas raziallahu anhuma ne bayan kiya ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: Tum mein se behtarin woh hai jo namaz mein behtarin ho
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There are three whose prayer Allah will not accept: a man who leads a prayer while they dislike him; a woman who spends the night while her husband is angry with her; and two siblings who are severed from each other."
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تین آدمیوں کی نماز قبول نہیں ہوتی: ایک وہ شخص جو لوگوں کو ایسی حالت میں نماز پڑھائے کہ وہ اس سے نا خوش ہوں، دوسری وہ عورت جو اپنے شوہر کو ناراض کر کے رات گزارے اور تیسرا وہ دو بھائی جن میں قطع تعلقی ہو“۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas radhi Allahu anhuma se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: Teen aadmiyon ki namaz qubool nahi hoti: Ek woh shaks jo logon ko aisi halat mein namaz parhaiye ki woh us se naraz hon, dusri woh aurat jo apne shohar ko naraz kar ke raat guzare aur teesra woh do bhai jin mein qata talaqi ho.
Jabir reported: A man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, “O Messenger of Allah, which prayer is best?” The Prophet said, “The prayer with the longest standing.”
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک شخص رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا : یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کون سی نماز افضل ہے ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ وہ نماز جس میں قیام طویل ہو ۔
Jibir Radi Allahu Anhu ne bayan kya keh ek shakhs Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz kya: Ya Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam kaun si namaz afzal hai? Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya keh woh namaz jis mein qayam tawil ho.
Humaid narrated to me from Anas bin Malik that he said: “I have not prayed behind anyone whose prayer was shorter yet more complete than the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).”
مجھ سے حمید نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے زیادہ مختصر اور مکمل نماز پڑھنے والے کسی امام کے پیچھے نماز نہیں پڑھی ۔
Mujh se Humaid ne Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat ki, kaha ki maine Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se ziada mukhtasir aur mukammal namaz parhne wale kisi imam ke peeche namaz nahi parhi.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When one of you leads the people in prayer, let him shorten it, for among them are the sick, the weak, and the elderly. When one of you prays by himself, let him lengthen it as he wishes."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائے تو اسے ہلکی کرے کیونکہ ان میں بیمار، کمزور اور بوڑھے ہوتے ہیں اور جب تم میں سے کوئی تنہا نماز پڑھے تو جتنی چاہے لمبی کرے"۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi logon ko namaz parhaiye to use halki kare kyunki un mein bimar, kamzor aur budhe hote hain aur jab tum mein se koi tanha namaz parhe to jitni chahe lambi kare".
Anas narrated that: Allah's Messenger ﷺ was leading them in prayer when a man came and, being out of breath, said: "All praise is to Allah, praise much, pure and blessed." When Allah's Messenger ﷺ finished the prayer, he said: "Who amongst you said the words?" The people were hesitant, so he said: "Who amongst you said the words? He did nothing wrong by saying them!" So the man said: "It was I, O Messenger of Allah! I came out of breath, so I said them." So he ﷺ said: "I saw twelve angels racing each other, which of them would ascend with them (to Allah)."
حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ انہیں نماز پڑھا رہے تھے کہ ایک آدمی ہانپتا ہوا آیا اور کہنے لگا: "اللہ کی حمد ہے، بہت زیادہ، پاک اور بابرکت۔" جب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے نماز ختم کی تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "تم میں سے کس نے یہ الفاظ کہے؟" لوگ ہچکچا رہے تھے، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "تم میں سے کس نے یہ الفاظ کہے؟ اس نے یہ کہہ کر کوئی غلط کام نہیں کیا!" تو وہ شخص کہنے لگا: "یہ میں تھا، اللہ کے رسول! میں ہانپتا ہوا آیا تھا، تو میں نے یہ کہہ دیا۔" تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "میں نے بارہ فرشتوں کو دیکھا کہ وہ ایک دوسرے سے سبقت لے جا رہے تھے کہ ان میں سے کون ان کے ساتھ (اللہ کے پاس) چڑھے گا۔"
Hazrat Anas Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam unhen namaz parha rahe the ki aik aadmi hanpta hua aaya aur kehne laga: "Allah ki hamd hai, bohat ziada, pak aur ba-barkat." Jab Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne namaz khatam ki to Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Tum mein se kis ne ye alfaz kahe?" Log hichkicha rahe the, to Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Tum mein se kis ne ye alfaz kahe? Us ne ye keh kar koi ghalat kaam nahin kiya!" To woh shakhs kehne laga: "Ye main tha, Allah ke Rasul! Main hanpta hua aaya tha, to main ne ye keh diya." To Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Main ne barah farishton ko dekha ki woh aik dusre se sabqat le ja rahe the ki un mein se kaun un ke sath (Allah ke paas) chadhe ga."
Yazid bin Abi Ubaid narrated: "He used to come with Salamah bin al-Akwa' to the Duha prayer, and he would go directly to the pillar before the Mushaf and pray close to it. So I said to him, 'Why don't you pray here?' and I pointed him to some parts of the mosque. He said, 'I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) seeking out this place.'"
یزید بن ابی عبید بیان کرتے ہیں کہ وہ سلمہ بن الاکوع کے ساتھ نمازِ چاشت کے لیے جایا کرتے تھے اور وہ سیدھے اس ستون کے پاس چلے جاتے جو قرآنِ مجید کے سامنے تھا اور وہاں قریب جا کر نماز ادا کرتے تھے۔ تو میں نے ان سے کہا کہ آپ یہاں کیوں نہیں نماز پڑھتے؟ اور میں نے انہیں مسجد کے کچھ حصوں کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ جگہ تلاش کرتے دیکھا ہے۔
Yazid bin Abi Ubaid bayan karte hain ke woh Salma bin Al-Akwa ke saath Namaz-e-Chasht ke liye jaya karte thay aur woh seedhe us sutun ke paas chale jate jo Quran-e-Majeed ke samne tha aur wahan qareeb ja kar Namaz ada karte thay. To maine unse kaha ke aap yahan kyun nahi Namaz parhte? Aur maine unhein masjid ke kuch hisson ki taraf ishara kiya. To unhon ne kaha ke maine Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko ye jagah talaash karte dekha hai.
Sahl ibn Sa`d reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There are two times in which a supplication is not rejected: when the call to prayer (adhan) is being called and in the ranks for battle in the cause of Allah."
سعد بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، ’’دو وقت ایسی ہیں کہ جن میں دعا رد نہیں ہوتی: ایک اذان کے وقت اور دوسرے صف بندی کے وقت جب کہ اللہ کی راہ میں دشمنوں سے جنگ ہو رہی ہو۔‘‘
Sad bin Sad Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya, ''Do waqt aise hain ki jin mein dua radd nahin hoti: Ek azaan ke waqt aur dusre saf bandi ke waqt jab ki Allah ki rah mein dushmanon se jang ho rahi ho.''
Ikrima reported: I said to Ibn Abbas, "I was surprised by an old man who prayed zuhr with us and said twenty-two takbirs." He said, "That is the sunnah of Abu'l Qasim (the Prophet)."
اِکریمہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے کہا کہ میں ایک بزرگ سے حیران ہوا جو ہمارے ساتھ ظہر کی نماز پڑھتے تھے اور بائیس تکبیریں کہتے تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ ابو القاسم ﷺ کی سنت ہے۔
Ikrima Radi Allahu Anhu bayan karte hain ke maine Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma se kaha ke mein ek buzurg se hairan hua jo hamare sath zuhar ki namaz parhte thay aur baais takbiren kehte thay. Unhon ne kaha ke yeh Abu Al Qasim Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki sunnat hai.
Abu Huraira reported: He used to lead them in prayer and would say the takbir (Allahu Akbar) for every bowing and raising (i.e. in every posture of the prayer). When he finished (prayer), he said: "I am the most unlike you in prayer to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ انہیں نماز پڑھاتے اور ہر رکوع اور قیام میں تکبیر (اللہ اکبر) کہتے۔ (یعنی نماز کے ہر رکن میں)۔ جب وہ نماز سے فارغ ہو جاتے تو کہتے: "تم میں سب سے زیادہ میری نماز رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز سے مختلف ہے۔"
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki woh unhen namaz parhate aur har ruku aur qayam mein takbeer (Allah akbar) kehte. (Yaani namaz ke har rukn mein). Jab woh namaz se farigh ho jate toh kehte: "Tum mein sab se ziada meri namaz Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki namaz se mukhtalif hai."
Abu Salama narrated that when Marwan became the Caliph of Medina, whenever he would stand for prayer, he would say the Takbir (Allahu Akbar), then say the Takbir again when bowing. When he would raise his head from bowing, he would say, “Sami’a Allahu liman Hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal Hamd (Allah hears whoever praises Him, Our Lord, and to You be all praise).” He would then say the Takbir when going into prostration and again when rising from the two prostrations, after the Tashahhud. He would continue doing so until the end of the prayer. When he finished praying and gave Salam (greetings of peace), he turned to the people in the mosque and said, “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I am the most resembling of you to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in prayer.”
ابو سلمہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب مروان مدینہ کا خلیفہ بنا تو جب بھی وہ نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہوتا تو تکبیر (اللہ اکبر) کہتا، پھر رکوع میں جاتے ہوئے پھر تکبیر کہتا۔ جب وہ رکوع سے اپنا سر اٹھاتا تو کہتا، " سمع اللہ لمن حمدہ، ربنا ولك الحمد (اللہ سنتا ہے اس کی جس نے اس کی تعریف کی، اے ہمارے رب، اور آپ ہی کی تعریف ہے)۔" پھر وہ سجدے میں جاتے ہوئے تکبیر کہتا اور پھر دو سجدوں سے اٹھتے وقت، تشہد کے بعد بھی تکبیر کہتا۔ وہ نماز کے آخر تک ایسا ہی کرتا رہا۔ جب وہ نماز ختم کر کے سلام پھیرتا تو مسجد میں موجود لوگوں کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر کہتا، "اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، میں تم میں سے سب سے زیادہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز سے مشابہت رکھتا ہوں۔"
Abu Salma bayan karte hain keh jab Marwan Madina ka khalifa bana to jab bhi wo namaz ke liye khada hota to takbeer (Allah Akbar) kehta, phir rukoo mein jate hue phir takbeer kehta. Jab wo rukoo se apna sar uthata to kehta, "Sami Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana walakal hamd (Allah sunta hai uski jisne uski tareef ki, aye hamare Rab, aur aap hi ki tareef hai)." Phir wo sijde mein jate hue takbeer kehta aur phir do sajdon se uthte waqt, tashahhud ke baad bhi takbeer kehta. Wo namaz ke akhir tak aisa hi karta raha. Jab wo namaz khatam kar ke salam phera to masjid mein mojood logon ki taraf mutawajjah ho kar kehta, "Is Zaat ki qasam jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai, main tum mein se sab se zyada Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki namaz se mushabbat rakhta hoon."
Aisha said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would begin the prayer with the Takbir and the recitation of {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} (All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds). And when he ﷺ bowed, he would not raise his gaze, nor would he fix it, but it would be between that. And when he raised his head from bowing, he would not prostrate until he had straightened standing. And when he raised his head from prostration, he would not prostrate until he had straightened sitting. And he would spread his left foot and set up his right foot. And he would say the tashahhud between every two rak'ahs. And he forbade sitting like a devil and he forbade that any one of us spread his forearms like a beast spreads them. And he would conclude the prayer with the Taslim.”
آئشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز کا آغاز تکبیر اور {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} (تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے) کی تلاوت سے فرماتے۔ اور جب آپ ﷺ رکوع کرتے تو اپنی نگاہ نہ تو اٹھاتے اور نہ ہی جمائے رکھتے بلکہ وہ دونوں کے درمیان ہوتی۔ اور جب رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے تو سجدہ میں نہ جاتے جب تک کہ سیدھے کھڑے نہ ہو جاتے۔ اور جب سجدے سے سر اٹھاتے تو دوبارہ سجدہ میں نہ جاتے جب تک کہ سیدھے بیٹھ نہ جاتے۔ اور آپ اپنا بائاں پاؤں بچھاتے اور دائیں پاؤں کو کھڑا رکھتے۔ اور آپ ہر دو رکعتوں کے درمیان تشہد پڑھتے۔ اور آپ نے شیطان کی طرح بیٹھنے سے منع فرمایا اور آپ نے اس سے بھی منع فرمایا کہ ہم میں سے کوئی اپنے ہاتھوں کو اس طرح پھیلائے جیسے درندہ پھیلاتا ہے۔ اور آپ نماز کا اختتام سلام سے فرماتے۔
Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha kehti hain ke Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam namaz ka aghaz takbeer aur {Alhamdulillah hi Rabb il Aalamin} (Tamam tarifain Allah ke liye hain jo tamam jahaanom ka Rab hai) ki tilawat se farmate. Aur jab aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ruku karte to apni nigaah na to uthate aur na hi jamaye rakhte balke woh donon ke darmiyaan hoti. Aur jab ruku se sar uthate to sijde mein na jate jab tak ke seedhe khade na ho jate. Aur jab sijde se sar uthate to dobara sijde mein na jate jab tak ke seedhe baith na jate. Aur aap apna baayan paon bicchate aur daayan paon ko khara rakhte. Aur aap har do raka'aton ke darmiyaan tashahhud parhte. Aur aap ne shetan ki tarah baithne se mana farmaya aur aap ne is se bhi mana farmaya ke hum mein se koi apne hathon ko is tarah phelaye jaise darinda phelata hai. Aur aap namaz ka ikhtetam salam se farmate.
`Ataa' bin Abi Rabah narrated that Ibn `Abbas said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "We, the gathering of the Prophets, have been commanded to delay our Suhur, hasten our Iftar, and keep our right hands over our left in prayer."
عطاء بن ابی رباح نے بیان کیا کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”ہم انبیاء کو حکم ہے کہ ہم سحری کو آخر وقت پر کریں، افطار جلد کریں اور نماز میں دایاں ہاتھ بائیں ہاتھ پر رکھیں۔“
Ata bin Abi Raba ne bayan kya keh Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma ne kaha keh Rasool Allah Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne farmaya hum ambiya ko hukm hai keh hum sehri ko akhir waqt per karen iftar jald karen aur namaz mein dayan hath bayen hath per rakhen
Ali ibn Abi Talib reported: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, began an obligatory prayer, he would say, “I have turned my face to Him who created the heavens and the earth, as a monotheist and a Muslim, and I am not of the polytheists. Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. He has no partner, and I was commanded with this, and I am of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the King, there is no God but You. Glory be to You and praise, You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me my sins, for verily none can forgive sins but You. Guide me to the best of character, for none can guide to the best of it but You. And turn away from me its bad, for none can turn away from me its bad but You. Here I am and blessed are You, and goodness is in Your hand, and the guided is the one whom You have guided. I am by You and to You. Blessed and Exalted are You. I ask Your forgiveness and I repent to You.”
حضرت علی ابن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب فرض نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: "میں نے اپنا چہرہ اس ذات کی طرف کیا جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا، ایک اللہ کی عبادت کرنے والے اور فرمانبردار بندے کی حیثیت سے اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں۔ بے شک میری نماز، میری قربانی، میرا جینا اور میرا مرنا سب اللہ کے لیے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے۔ اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں ہے اور مجھے اسی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اور میں مسلمانوں میں سے ہوں۔ اے اللہ! تو ہی بادشاہ ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں۔ تمام عزت اور تعریف تیرے لیے ہے، تو میرا رب ہے اور میں تیرا بندہ ہوں۔ میں نے اپنے آپ پر ظلم کیا ہے اور میں اپنے گناہ کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں، تو میرے گناہوں کو معاف فرما دے کیونکہ گناہوں کو تیرے سوا کوئی معاف نہیں کر سکتا۔ مجھے بہترین اخلاق کی ہدایت فرما کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی اس کی بہترین ہدایت نہیں دے سکتا۔ اور مجھ سے برے اخلاق کو دور فرما دے کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی مجھ سے برے اخلاق کو دور نہیں کر سکتا۔ میں حاضر ہوں اور برکت دینے والا تو ہے، اور تیرے ہاتھ میں ہی بھلائی ہے، اور ہدایت پانے والا وہ ہے جسے تو ہدایت دے۔ میں تیرا ہوں اور تیری ہی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے۔ تو بابرکت اور بلند و بالا ہے۔ میں تجھ سے مغفرت چاہتا ہوں اور تیری بارگاہ میں توبہ کرتا ہوں۔"
Hazrat Ali ibne Abi Talib Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab farz namaz ke liye kharay hotay toh yeh dua parhtay: "Maine apna chehra us zaat ki taraf kiya jisne aasmano aur zameen ko paida kiya, aik Allah ki ibadat karne walay aur farmanbardar banday ki haisiyat se aur main mushrikon mein se nahi hun. Be shak meri namaz, meri qurbani, mera jeena aur mera marna sab Allah ke liye hai jo tamam jahano ka rab hai. Uska koi sharik nahi hai aur mujhe usi ka hukum diya gaya hai aur main musalmano mein se hun. Aye Allah! Tu hi badshah hai, tere siwa koi ibadat ke layak nahi. Tamam izzat aur tareef tere liye hai, tu mera rab hai aur main tera banda hun. Maine apne aap per zulm kiya hai aur main apne gunah ka ikrar karta hun, tu mere gunahon ko maaf farma de kyunke gunahon ko tere siwa koi maaf nahi kar sakta. Mujhe behtarin akhlaq ki hidayat farma kyunke tere siwa koi uski behtarin hidayat nahi de sakta. Aur mujhse buray akhlaq ko door farma de kyunke tere siwa koi mujhse buray akhlaq ko door nahi kar sakta. Main hazir hun aur barkat denay wala tu hai, aur tere hath mein hi bhalai hai, aur hidayat panay wala wo hai jise tu hidayat de. Main tera hun aur teri hi taraf laut kar jana hai. Tu babarakt aur buland o bala hai. Main tujhse mughfirat chahta hun aur teri bargah mein tauba karta hun."
Ali ibn Abi Talib narrated that the Prophet ﷺ would say when he began the obligatory prayer: "I have turned my face towards the One Who created the heavens and the earth, as a Hanif (monotheist), and I am not of the polytheists. Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. No partner has He; with this I have been commanded, and I am of those who submit (Muslims). O Allah, You are the King; there is no deity except You. Glory be to You, and praise be to You. You are my Lord, and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself, and I admit my sin, so forgive me all my sins, for none can forgive sins except You. And guide me to the best of character, for none guides to the best of it except You. And turn away from me its bad aspects, for none turns away from me its bad aspects except You. Yours is the response, and Yours is the blessing, and in Your Hand is all good. Guided is he whom You have guided. I am by You and to You. Blessed are You, and Exalted. I ask for Your forgiveness and I repent to You."
حضرت علی ابن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جب فرض نماز شروع فرماتے تو کہتے: "میں نے اپنا چہرہ اس ذات کی طرف کیا جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا، ایک حنیف (مشرک مخالف) کی حیثیت سے، اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں۔ بے شک میری نماز، میری قربانی، میرا جینا اور میرا مرنا اللہ رب العالمین کے لیے ہے۔ اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں۔ مجھے اسی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اور میں فرمانبرداروں (مسلمانوں) میں سے ہوں۔ اے اللہ، تو ہی بادشاہ ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو ہی پاک ہے اور تیری ہی تعریف ہے۔ تو میرا رب ہے اور میں تیرا بندہ ہوں۔ میں نے اپنے آپ پر ظلم کیا ہے اور میں اپنے گناہ کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں، تو میرے تمام گناہوں کو معاف فرما دے کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی بھی گناہوں کو معاف نہیں کر سکتا۔ اور مجھے بہترین اخلاق کی ہدایت فرما کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی بھی اس کی بہترین رہنمائی نہیں کر سکتا۔ اور اس کے برے پہلوؤں سے مجھے بچا کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی بھی اس کے برے پہلوؤں سے مجھے نہیں بچا سکتا۔ جواب دینا تیرا کام ہے اور برکت دینا تیرا کام ہے اور تیرے ہاتھ میں ہی سب بھلائی ہے۔ ہدایت اسے ملتی ہے جسے تو ہدایت دے۔ میں تیرے ہی لیے ہوں اور تیرے ہی پاس پلٹ کر جانا ہے۔ تو بابرکت ہے اور بلند مرتبہ والا ہے۔ میں تیری بخشش چاہتا ہوں اور تیری طرف رجوع کرتا ہوں۔"
Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib Radi Allaho Anho se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam jab farz namaz shuru farmate to kahte: "Maine apna chehra us zaat ki taraf kiya jisne aasmanon aur zameen ko paida kiya, ek hanif (mushrik mukhalif) ki haisiyat se, aur main mushrikon mein se nahi hun. Be shak meri namaz, meri qurbani, mera jeena aur mera marna Allah Rabbul Aalameen ke liye hai. Uska koi sharik nahi. Mujhe usi ka hukum diya gaya hai aur main farmanbardaron (musalmanon) mein se hun. Aye Allah, tu hi badshah hai, tere siwa koi mabood nahi. Tu hi pak hai aur teri hi tareef hai. Tu mera Rab hai aur main tera banda hun. Maine apne aap par zulm kiya hai aur main apne gunah ka iqrar karta hun, tu mere tamam gunahon ko maaf farma de kyunki tere siwa koi bhi gunahon ko maaf nahi kar sakta. Aur mujhe behtarin akhlaq ki hidayat farma kyunki tere siwa koi bhi uski behtarin rahnumai nahi kar sakta. Aur uske burey pahaluon se mujhe bacha kyunki tere siwa koi bhi uske burey pahaluon se mujhe nahi bacha sakta. Jawab dena tera kaam hai aur barkat dena tera kaam hai aur tere hath mein hi sab bhalai hai. Hidayat use milti hai jise tu hidayat de. Main tere hi liye hun aur tere hi paas palat kar jana hai. Tu babarkat hai aur buland martaba wala hai. Main teri bakhshish chahta hun aur teri taraf rujoo karta hun."
Ali narrated that whenever the Prophet ﷺ would begin a prescribed prayer, he would say: "I have turned my face towards the One Who created the heavens and the earth, upright, and I am not of the polytheists. Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds, no partner has He. And with that I have been commanded, and I am of the Muslims. O Allah, for You is all praise, there is no god but You. Glory be to You, and by Your praise. You are my Lord, and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself, and I confess my sin, so forgive me all my sins. For none forgives sins but You. And guide me to the best of character, for none guides to the best of it but You. And turn away from me its bad, for none turns away from me its bad but You. Yours is the invocation and the confirmation, and the good is in Your Hands. And the guided one is the one You have guided. I am with You and to You. Blessed and Exalted are You. I seek forgiveness from You, and I repent to You."
علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب بھی کوئی فرض نماز شروع فرماتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے:
"میں نے اپنا چہرہ اس ذات کی طرف کر لیا جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا، (دین میں) یکسو ہو کر اور میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں۔ بے شک میری نماز، میری قربانی، میرا جینا اور میرا مرنا اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں۔ اور مجھے اسی کا حکم دیا گیا ہے اور میں (فرمانبردار) مسلمانوں میں سے ہوں۔ اے اللہ! ساری تعریف تیرے ہی لیے ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو پاک ہے اور تیری ہی تعریف ہے، تو میرا رب ہے اور میں تیرا بندہ ہوں۔ میں نے اپنے آپ پر ظلم کیا ہے اور میں اپنے گناہ کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں، تو میرے سارے گناہ معاف فرما دے، کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی گناہ معاف کرنے والا نہیں۔ اور مجھے بہترین اخلاق کی ہدایت فرما، کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی بہترین اخلاق کی ہدایت نہیں دیتا۔ اور مجھ سے برے اخلاق کو دور فرما، کیونکہ تیرے سوا کوئی مجھ سے برے اخلاق کو دور نہیں کرتا۔ دعا اور قبولیت تیری ہی ملک ہے اور نیکی تیرے ہی ہاتھ میں ہے۔ اور جسے تو ہدایت دے وہی ہدایت یافتہ ہے۔ میں تیرا ہی ہوں اور تیرے ہی لیے ہوں، تو بابرکت اور بلند و بالا ہے۔ میں تجھ سے مغفرت چاہتا ہوں اور تیری ہی بارگاہ میں توبہ کرتا ہوں۔"
Ali raza Allah tala anho se riwayat hai kay Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam jab bhi koi farz namaz shuru farmate to yeh dua parhte:
"Main ne apna chehra is zaat ki taraf kar liya jis ne aasmano aur zameen ko paida kiya, (deen mein) yaksu ho kar aur mein mushrikon mein se nahi hoon. Be shak meri namaz, meri qurbani, mera jeena aur mera marna Allah hi kay liye hai jo tamam jahano ka rab hai, is ka koi sharik nahi. Aur mujhe isi ka hukum diya gaya hai aur mein (farmanbardar) musalmano mein se hoon. Aye Allah! Saari tareef tere hi liye hai, tere siwa koi mabood nahi. Tu pak hai aur teri hi tareef hai, tu mera rab hai aur mein tera banda hoon. Main ne apne aap par zulm kiya hai aur mein apne gunah ka aiteraaf karta hoon, tu mere sare gunah maaf farma de, kyunki tere siwa koi gunah maaf karne wala nahi. Aur mujhe behtarin akhlaq ki hidayat farma, kyunki tere siwa koi behtarin akhlaq ki hidayat nahi deta. Aur mujh se bure akhlaq ko door farma, kyunki tere siwa koi mujh se bure akhlaq ko door nahi karta. Dua aur quboolit teri hi milk hai aur neki tere hi haath mein hai. Aur jise tu hidayat de wohi hidayat yaafta hai. Main tera hi hoon aur tere hi liye hoon, tu babarkat aur buland o bala hai. Main tujh se maghfirat chahta hoon aur teri hi bargah mein tauba karta hoon."
Abu Huraira said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he would say the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) he would pause between the Takbir and the recitation. So I said: May my father and my mother be sacrificed for you, I see you pausing between the Takbir and the recitation, tell me what you say during it? He said: "O Allah, make the distance between me and my sins as great as the distance You have made between the east and the west. O Allah, purify me of my sins as a white garment is purified of filth. O Allah, wash away my sins with water, snow, and hail.”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب تکبیر (اللہ اکبر) کہتے تو تکبیر اور قرأت کے درمیان توقف فرماتے۔ تو میں نے عرض کیا: میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان، میں آپ کو تکبیر اور قرأت کے درمیان توقف فرماتے دیکھتا ہوں، آپ اس دوران کیا کہتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اے اللہ! میرے اور میرے گناہوں کے درمیان اتنی ہی دوری کر دے جتنی دوری تو نے مشرق اور مغرب کے درمیان کر رکھی ہے۔ اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو اس طرح پاک کر دے جس طرح سفید کپڑے کو میل سے پاک کیا جاتا ہے۔ اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو پانی، برف اور اولوں سے دھو ڈال۔“
Hazrat Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab takbeer (Allahu Akbar) kehte to takbeer aur qirat ke darmiyan tauqeef farmate. To maine arz kiya: Mere maan baap aap par qurban, main aap ko takbeer aur qirat ke darmiyan tauqeef farmate dekhta hun, aap is dauran kya kehte hain? Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: “Aye Allah! Mere aur mere gunahon ke darmiyan itni hi doori kar de jitni doori tu ne mashriq aur maghrib ke darmiyan kar rakhi hai. Aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko is tarah pak kar de jis tarah safaid kapre ko mail se pak kiya jata hai. Aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko pani, barf aur olon se dho daal.”
Abu Huraira narrated that, “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would say the Takbir for the prayer, he would remain silent for a while before reciting (the Quran).” I said, “O Messenger of Allah! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, what do you say during the silence between the Takbir and the recitation?” He said, “I say: ‘O Allah! Separate me from my sins as You have separated the East from the West. O Allah! Cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. O Allah! Wash away my sins with water, snow and hail.’”
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز کے لیے تکبیر کہتے تو قرأت شروع کرنے سے پہلے کچھ دیر خاموش رہتے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان، آپ تکبیر اور قرأت کے درمیان خاموشی میں کیا کہتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’میں کہتا ہوں: اے اللہ! میرے اور میرے گناہوں کے درمیان ایسی ہی دوری کردے جیسی تو نے مشرق اور مغرب کے درمیان دوری کردی ہے۔ اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو اس طرح پاک کردے جس طرح سفید کپڑے کو میل سے پاک کیا جاتا ہے۔ اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو پانی، برف اور اولوں سے دھو ڈال‘‘۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam jab namaz ke liye takbeer kehte to qirat shuru karne se pehle kuch der khamosh rehte. Maine arz kiya: Allah ke Rasul! Mere maan baap aap par qurban, aap takbeer aur qirat ke darmiyan khamoshi mein kya kehte hain? Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Main kehta hun: Aye Allah! Mere aur mere gunahon ke darmiyan aisi hi doori karde jaisi tu ne mashriq aur maghrib ke darmiyan doori kardi hai. Aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko is tarah paak karde jis tarah safeid kapre ko mail se paak kiya jata hai. Aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko pani, barf aur olon se dho daal."
Saeed bin Sam'an, the freed slave of Az-Zuraqeen, narrated: Abu Hurairah came to the mosque and said: "There are three things which Allah's Messenger ﷺ used to do but the people have now abandoned them: When Allah's Messenger ﷺ stood up for prayer, he would raise his hands up to his ears, and he would stand for a short while before reciting (the Quran), asking Allah for His bounty; and he would say Allahu Akbar (Allah is Most Great) in every bowing and prostration."
سعید بن سمعان، جو کہ زرقین کے آزاد کردہ غلام تھے، بیان کرتے ہیں: حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ مسجد میں آئے اور کہا: "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تین کام کیا کرتے تھے لیکن اب لوگوں نے انہیں چھوڑ دیا ہے: جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو اپنے ہاتھ اپنے کانوں تک اٹھاتے، اور کچھ دیر کھڑے رہ کر اللہ تعالیٰ سے اس کی رحمت طلب کرتے پھر قرآن پڑھنا شروع کرتے۔ اور ہر رکوع اور سجدے میں اللہ اکبر کہتے"۔
Saeed bin Saman, jo keh Zarqeen ke azad kardah ghulam thay, bayan karte hain: Hazrat Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu masjid mein aaye aur kaha: "Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam teen kaam kya karte thay lekin ab logon ne unhen chhor diya hai: Jab Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam namaz ke liye kharay hote to apne hath apne kano tak uthate, aur kuch dair kharay reh kar Allah Ta'ala se uski rehmat talab karte phir Quran parhna shuru karte. Aur har ruku aur sajday mein Allahu Akbar kahte".
Abu Huraira reported: When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) observed Takbir for prayer, he would keep silent for a while before reciting (the Quran). I said: Allah's Messenger, let my father and mother be sacrificed for you, will you tell (me) what you utter during the interval between Takbir and recitation? He (the Holy Prophet) said: (I supplicate): "O Allah, remove my sins from me as Thou hast removed the East from the West. O Allah, cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed of stains. O Allah, wash away my sins with snow, water and hail."
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز کے لیے تکبیر کہتے تو قرأت شروع فرمانے سے پہلے کچھ دیر خاموش رہتے تھے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان، آپ مجھے بتائیے گا کہ آپ تکبیر اور قرأت کے درمیان کیا کچھ کہتے ہیں؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: (میں دعا کرتا ہوں) ”اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو اس طرح دور کر دے جس طرح تو نے مشرق کو مغرب سے دور کر دیا ہے، اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو اس طرح پاک کر دے جس طرح سفید کپڑے کو میل سے پاک کیا جاتا ہے، اے اللہ! میرے گناہوں کو برف، پانی اور اولوں کے ذریعے دھو ڈال۔“
Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu ne bayan kya ke Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam jab namaz ke liye takbeer kahte to qirat shuru farmane se pehle kuch der khamosh rehte the. Main ne arz kya: Allah ke Rasul! Mere maan baap aap par qurban, aap mujhe bataiyega ke aap takbeer aur qirat ke darmiyan kya kuch kahte hain? To aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: (Main dua karta hun) ”Aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko is tarah door kar de jis tarah tu ne mashriq ko maghrib se door kar diya hai, aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko is tarah pak kar de jis tarah safaid kapre ko mail se pak kiya jata hai, aye Allah! Mere gunahon ko barf, pani aur olon ke zariye dho daal.
Ibn Jubayr narrated from his father that he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he stood up for prayer, he would say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from Satan, from his incitements and his temptations."
ابن جبیر اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو دیکھا جب وہ نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو کہتے: "اے اللہ میں شیطان سے، اس کے وسوسوں سے اور اس کے پھٹکار سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔"
Ibn e Jubair apne wald se riwayat karte hain ke unhon ne kaha: main ne Rasul Allah SAW ko dekha jab wo namaz ke liye kharay hote to kahte: "Aye Allah main shaitan se, us ke waswason se aur us ke phutkar se teri panaah mangta hun."
Ibn Jubayr narrated from his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), when he stood up for prayer, would say: "Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) Kabiran (Great), walhamdu lillahi (and all praise is for Allah) Kathran (abundantly) (three times), Subhana-al-lahi (Glory be to Allah) bukratan wa asilan (morning and evening) (three times). I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed, from his puffing up, his haughtiness, and his poetic inspiration."
ابن جبیر اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو فرماتے: "اللہ اکبر (اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے) کبیرا (بہت بڑا)، والحمد للہ (اور ساری تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے) کثیرا (بہت زیادہ) (تین بار)، سبحان اللہ (اللہ پاک ہے) بكرةً و أصيلاً (صبح و شام) (تین بار)۔ میں اللہ کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں شیطان مردود سے، اس کے بھڑکانے سے، اس کے تکبر سے اور اس کے شعری وسوسوں سے"۔
Ibne Jubair apne wald se riwayat karte hain ke Rasool Allah SAW jab namaz ke liye kharay hote to farmatey: "Allahu Akbar (Allahu sab se bara hai) Kabeera (bahut bara), walhamdulillah (aur sari tareef Allah ke liye hai) kaseera (bahut ziada) (teen bar), Subhan Allah (Allahu Paak hai) Bukratan wa aseela (subah-o-shaam) (teen bar). Main Allah ki panaah mein aata hun Shaitan mardud se, uske bhadkane se, uske takabbur se aur uske shehri waswason se".
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Every prayer in which (Surah Fatihah) is recited (I will answer your supplications), so whatever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made us hear, we made you hear, and what he concealed from us, we concealed from you."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”ہر وہ نماز جس میں (سورۃ فاتحہ) پڑھی جائے (میں تمہاری دعائیں قبول کروں گا) پس جو کچھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں سنایا ہم نے تمہیں سنا دیا اور جو کچھ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے چھپایا وہ ہم نے تم سے چھپا لیا"۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya ”Har woh namaz jis mein (Surah Fatiha) parhi jaye (mein tumhari duain qubool karunga) pas jo kuchh Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne humein sunaya humne tumhein suna diya aur jo kuchh aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne humse chhupaya woh humne tumse chhupa liya".
Ubadah bin As-Samit reported: The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no prayer for the one who does not recite the Opening of the Book [i.e., Surah Al-Fatihah]."
حضرت عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا ”جو شخص سورۃ فاتحہ نہیں پڑھتا اس کی نماز نہیں“
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samat razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya "Jo shakhs Surah Fatiha nahi parhta uski namaz nahi"
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When one of you stands to pray, let him not spit in front of him, for he is conversing with his Lord for as long as he is in his prayer. And let him not spit to his right, for on his right is an angel. Rather, let him spit to his left or beneath his foot and then bury it."
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم میں سے کوئی نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہو تو اپنے سامنے نہ تھوکے، کیونکہ وہ اپنے رب سے ہم کلام ہوتا ہے جب تک وہ اپنی نماز میں ہے۔ اور نہ ہی اپنے دائیں طرف تھوکے، کیونکہ اس کے دائیں طرف فرشتہ ہے۔ بلکہ اپنے بائیں طرف یا اپنے پاؤں کے نیچے تھوکے اور پھر اسے دبا دے۔"
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi namaz ke liye khada ho to apne samne na thooke, kyunki woh apne Rab se hum kalam hota hai jab tak woh apni namaz mein hai. Aur na hi apne daayen taraf thooke, kyunki uske daayen taraf farishta hai. Balkeh apne baayen taraf ya apne paon ke neeche thooke aur phir use daba de."
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever prays a prayer in which he does not recite Umm Al-Quran, it is deficient, it is deficient, it is incomplete." I said, "O Abu Huraira, sometimes I am behind the imam." He nudged my arm and said, "Recite it to yourself, O Persian, for I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say that Allah Almighty said: 'I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he asks for.' The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Recite, for the servant says: {All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds}. Allah says: 'My servant has praised Me.' The servant says: {The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful}. Allah says: 'My servant has extolled Me.' The servant says: {Master of the Day of Judgement}. Allah says: 'My servant has glorified Me.' This verse is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for. The servant says: {It is You we worship and You we ask for help}. This verse is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for. The servant says: {Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked Your anger or of those who are astray}. These are for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.'"
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص ایسی نماز پڑھے جس میں فاتحہ الکتاب نہ پڑھے تو وہ ناقص ہے، وہ ناقص ہے، وہ نامکمل ہے۔“ میں نے کہا: ”اے ابوہریرہ! کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ میں امام کے پیچھے ہوتا ہوں۔“ انہوں نے میری بانہہ پکڑی اور کہا: ”اے فارسی! تم اپنے دل میں پڑھ لیا کرو، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: ”میں نے اپنے اور اپنے بندے کے درمیان نماز کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کر دیا ہے اور میرے بندے کو وہی ملے گا جو وہ مانگے گا۔“ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”(بندہ) پڑھتا ہے: {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: ’میرے بندے نے میری حمد و ثنا بیان کی۔‘ (بندہ) پڑھتا ہے: {الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ} تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: ’میرے بندے نے میری تعریف کی۔‘ (بندہ) پڑھتا ہے: {مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ} تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: ’میرے بندے نے میری بزرگی بیان کی۔‘ یہ آیت میرے اور میرے بندے کے درمیان ہے اور میرے بندے کو وہی ملے گا جو وہ مانگے گا۔ (بندہ) پڑھتا ہے: {إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ} یہ آیت میرے اور میرے بندے کے درمیان ہے اور میرے بندے کو وہی ملے گا جو وہ مانگے گا۔ (بندہ) پڑھتا ہے: {اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} یہ (آیات) میرے بندے کے لیے ہیں اور میرے بندے کو وہی ملے گا جو وہ مانگے گا۔“
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs aisi namaz parhe jismein Fatiha Al-Kitab na parhe to woh naaqis hai, woh naaqis hai, woh naamukammal hai." Maine kaha: "Aye Abu Hurairah! Kabhi aisa hota hai ki main imam ke peeche hota hun." Unhon ne meri banh pakdi aur kaha: "Aye Farsi! Tum apne dil mein parh liya karo, maine Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko farmate hue suna hai ki Allah Ta'ala farmata hai: "Maine apne aur apne bande ke darmiyaan namaz ko do hisson mein taqseem kar diya hai aur mere bande ko wahi milega jo woh mangega." Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "(Banda) parhta hai: {Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin} to Allah Ta'ala farmata hai: 'Mere bande ne meri hamd o sana bayan ki.' (Banda) parhta hai: {Ar-Rahmanir-Rahim} to Allah Ta'ala farmata hai: 'Mere bande ne meri tareef ki.' (Banda) parhta hai: {Maliki Yaumiddin} to Allah Ta'ala farmata hai: 'Mere bande ne meri buzurgi bayan ki.' Ye aayat mere aur mere bande ke darmiyaan hai aur mere bande ko wahi milega jo woh mangega. (Banda) parhta hai: {Iyyaka Na'budu Wa Iyyaka Nasta'in} ye aayat mere aur mere bande ke darmiyaan hai aur mere bande ko wahi milega jo woh mangega. (Banda) parhta hai: {Ihdinas Siratal Mustaqim Siratal Lazina An'amta Alaihim Ghairil Maghdubi Alaihim Walad-Dallin} ye (aayaat) mere bande ke liye hain aur mere bande ko wahi milega jo woh mangega."
Ubaadah ibn as-Samit said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us in the Fajr prayer, and he found difficulty in reciting. When he finished the prayer, he said, “I see that you recite behind your imam.” We said, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Do not do so, except with Umm al-Kitab (Surah al-Fatihah), for there is no prayer for the one who does not recite with it.”
عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں فجر کی نماز پڑھائی، تو آپ کو قراء ت کرنے میں کچھ دشواری محسوس ہوئی، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا: ’’میں دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ تم اپنے امام کے پیچھے قراء ت کرتے ہو‘‘ ہم نے کہا: جی ہاں! اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’ایسا نہ کرو، ہاں! سورۃ الفاتحہ کے ساتھ ضرور کرو، کیونکہ جس شخص نے اس کے ساتھ قراء ت نہیں کی اس کی نماز نہیں‘‘۔
Ubadah bin Samit Radi Allahu Anhu kahte hain ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hamen Fajr ki namaz parhayi to aap ko qirat karne mein kuchh dushwari mehsoos hui jab aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam namaz se farigh hue to farmaya main dekh raha hun ki tum apne imam ke peeche qirat karte ho humne kaha ji haan Allah ke Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya aisa na karo haan Surah Fatiha ke sath zaroor karo kyunki jis shakhs ne is ke sath qirat nahin ki uski namaz nahin
Ubadah ibn as-Samit reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There is no prayer for the one who does not recite the Opening of the Book [Al-Fatihah]."

Rifa'ah bin Rafi' az-Zurqi, who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), said: A man came while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in the mosque, and prayed near him. Then, he went back to him and greeted him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: "Repeat your prayer, for you have not prayed." So he went back and prayed similarly to how he prayed. Then he went back to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: "Repeat your prayer, for you have not prayed." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, how should I pray?" He said: "When you face the Qiblah, then say the Takbir (Allahu Akbar), then recite Umm al-Quran (Surah al-Fatihah), then recite whatever you wish. When you bow, place your palms on your knees and straighten your back. When you raise your head, straighten your spine until the bones return to their places. When you prostrate, make your prostration firmly. When you raise your head, sit on your left thigh. Then, do that in every Rak'ah."
حضرت رفاعہ بن رافع زرقی رضی اللہ عنہ جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب میں سے تھے، کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص آیا جبکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسجد میں تھے، اور آپ کے قریب نماز پڑھی۔ پھر وہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس واپس آیا اور سلام کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے کہا: "اپنی نماز دہراؤ، کیونکہ تم نے نماز نہیں پڑھی"۔ چنانچہ وہ واپس گیا اور ویسے ہی نماز پڑھی جیسے پہلے پڑھی تھی۔ پھر وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس واپس آیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے کہا: "اپنی نماز دہراؤ کیونکہ تم نے نماز نہیں پڑھی"۔ اس نے کہا: "اللہ کے رسول! میں کیسے نماز پڑھوں؟" آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جب تم قبلہ کی طرف رخ کرو تو تکبیر (اللہ اکبر) کہو، پھر سورہ فاتحہ پڑھو، پھر جو چاہو پڑھو۔ جب تم رکوع کرو تو اپنے ہاتھوں کی ہتھیلیوں کو اپنے گھٹنوں پر رکھو اور اپنی پیٹھ سیدھی رکھو۔ جب تم سر اٹھاؤ تو اپنی ریڑھ کی ہڈی کو سیدھا کرو یہاں تک کہ ہڈیاں اپنی جگہ واپس آجائیں۔ جب تم سجدہ کرو تو اپنا سجدہ مضبوطی سے کرو۔ جب تم سر اٹھاؤ تو اپنی بائیں ران پر بیٹھو۔ پھر ہر رکعت میں ایسا ہی کرو۔"
Hazrat Rafa bin Rafi Zarqi Radi Allahu Anhu jo Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke Ashab mein se thay, kehte hain ke ek shakhs aaya jabke Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Masjid mein thay, aur aap ke qareeb namaz parhi. Phir woh aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke pass wapas aaya aur salam kiya. Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us se kaha: "Apni namaz dohrao, kyunke tum ne namaz nahin parhi". Chunache woh wapas gaya aur waise hi namaz parhi jaise pehle parhi thi. Phir woh Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke pass wapas aaya to Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne us se kaha: "Apni namaz dohrao kyunke tum ne namaz nahin parhi". Us ne kaha: "Allah ke Rasul! Main kaise namaz parhun?" Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jab tum qibla ki taraf rukh karo to takbeer (Allahu Akbar) kaho, phir Surah Fatiha parho, phir jo chaho parho. Jab tum ruku karo to apne hathon ki hatheliyon ko apne ghutnon par rakho aur apni peeth seedhi rakho. Jab tum sar uthao to apni reerh ki haddi ko seedha karo yahan tak ke haddiyan apni jagah wapas ajain. Jab tum sajdah karo to apna sajdah mazbooti se karo. Jab tum sar uthao to apni bayen ran par baitho. Phir har rakat mein aisa hi karo".
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Every prayer in which Surah Fatihah is not recited is deficient. Every prayer in which Surah Fatihah is not recited is deficient. Every prayer in which Surah Fatihah is not recited is deficient.”
ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” ہر وہ نماز جس میں سورۃ فاتحہ نہ پڑھی جائے وہ نماز نا قص ہے، ہر وہ نماز جس میں سورۃ فاتحہ نہ پڑھی جائے وہ نماز نا قص ہے، ہر وہ نماز جس میں سورۃ فاتحہ نہ پڑھی جائے وہ نماز نا قص ہے۔ “
Abu Hurairah RA se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah SAW ne farmaya: Har wo namaz jis mein Surah Fatiha na parhi jaye wo namaz na qis hai, har wo namaz jis mein Surah Fatiha na parhi jaye wo namaz na qis hai, har wo namaz jis mein Surah Fatiha na parhi jaye wo namaz na qis hai.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no prayer valid for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book.” I said, “Even if I am behind the imam?” The Prophet said, and he took my hand, “Recite it to yourself.”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس شخص کی نماز درست نہیں جس نے اس میں سورۃ فاتحہ نہ پڑھی” میں نے عرض کیا ”اگر میں امام کے پیچھے ہوں تو (بھی پڑھوں)؟” آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر فرمایا ”تم اپنے دل میں پڑھو”۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya “Iss shakhs ki namaz durust nahi jis ne is mein Surah Fatiha na parhi” maine arz kiya “Agar mein imam ke peeche hun to (bhi parhun)?” Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne mera hath pakar kar farmaya “Tum apne dil mein parho”.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet ﷺ commanded us to recite from the Opening of the Book (Al-Fatihah) and whatever else is easy.
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں سورہ فاتحہ اور جو کچھ آسان ہو اس کی تلاوت کا حکم دیا۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri raziallahu anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne humain Surah Fatiha aur jo kuch asaan ho us ki tilawat ka hukm diya
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No prayer is valid without reciting the Opening of the Book [al-Fatiha] and something else."
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”فاتحۂ الکتاب اور کچھ اور پڑھے بغیر نماز درست نہیں۔“

Ubadah ibn as-Samit reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the Fajr prayer and he recited very slowly. When he finished the prayer, he said, "Do you recite behind your imam?" We said, "Yes." He said, "Do not do so except with the Mother of the Book (Surah al-Fatihah), for there is no prayer for the one who does not recite with it."
عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں فجر کی نماز پڑھائی اور بہت آہستگی سے قرأت فرمائی۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پوری کر لی تو فرمایا: "کیا تم اپنے امام کے پیچھے قرأت کرتے ہو؟" ہم نے عرض کیا: "جی ہاں۔" آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "فاتحہ الکتاب کے سوا (امام کے پیچھے) قرأت نہ کرو، کیونکہ جو اسے نہیں پڑھتا اس کی نماز نہیں ہے۔"
Ibadat bin Samit Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hamen fajr ki namaz parhayi aur bahut ahista se qirat farmayi. Jab Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne namaz puri kar li to farmaya: "kia tum apne imam ke peeche qirat karte ho?" Hum ne arz kiya: "ji haan." Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Fatiha al-kitab ke siwa (imam ke peeche) qirat na karo, kyunki jo ise nahin padhta uski namaz nahin hai."
Ubadah ibn as-Samit reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Fatiha."

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس شخص کی نماز درست نہیں جس نے اس میں فاتحہ الکتاب نہ پڑھی“ میں نے عرض کیا اگر میں امام کے پیچھے ہوں تو؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر فرمایا ”اپنے دل میں پڑھو“۔

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever prays a prayer in which he does not recite Umm al-Quran (i.e. Surah Al-Fatiha) then it is deficient." I said, "O Abu Huraira, sometimes I am behind the Imam.” He said, “O son of the Persian, recite it to yourself.” For indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say that Allah the Exalted said, "I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant, and for My servant is what he has asked. When My servant says 'Al-Hamdu lillahi rabbil-alamin (All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds),' Allah says 'My servant has praised Me.' When he says 'Ar-Rahmanir-Rahim (The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful),' Allah says 'My servant has extolled Me.' When he says 'Maliki yawmid-din (The King/Owner of the Day of Judgement),' Allah says 'My servant has glorified Me.' This is between Me and My servant, and for My servant is what he has asked." He continues, "And when he says 'Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in (You alone we worship and You alone we seek help from),' until the end of the Surah, this is for My servant, and for My servant is what he has asked.”
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "جس شخص نے ایسی نماز پڑھی جس میں سورۃ فاتحہ نہیں پڑھی تو وہ ناقص ہے" میں نے کہا: اے ابو ہریرہ! کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ میں امام کے پیچھے ہوتا ہوں۔ انہوں نے کہا: اے پارسی کے بیٹے! اپنے دل میں پڑھ لیا کرو۔ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ میں نے اپنے اور اپنے بندے کے درمیان نماز کو تقسیم کر دیا ہے اور میرے بندے کے لئے وہ ہے جو وہ مانگتا ہے۔ جب بندہ کہتا ہے الحمدللہ رب العالمین تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ میرے بندے نے میری حمد و ثنا بیان کی۔ اور جب وہ کہتا ہے الرحمن الرحیم تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ میرے بندے نے میری تعریف کی۔ اور جب وہ کہتا ہے مالک یوم الدین تو اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ میرے بندے نے میری بڑائی بیان کی۔ یہ میرے اور میرے بندے کے درمیان ہے اور میرے بندے کے لئے وہ ہے جو وہ مانگتا ہے۔ اور جب وہ کہتا ہے "اياك نعبد واياك نستعين" سورۃ کے آخر تک تو یہ میرے بندے کے لیے ہے اور میرے بندے کے لئے وہ ہے جو وہ مانگتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Jis shakhs ne aisi namaz parhi jis mein Surah Fatiha nahi parhi to woh naqis hai" maine kaha: Aye Abu Hurairah! kabhi aisa hota hai ki mein imam ke peeche hota hun. Unhon ne kaha: Aye Parsi ke bete! apne dil mein parh liya karo. Maine Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko ye farmate hue suna hai ki Allah Taala farmata hai ki maine apne aur apne bande ke darmiyaan namaz ko taqseem kar diya hai aur mere bande ke liye woh hai jo woh mangta hai. Jab banda kehta hai Alhamdulillah-i-Rabbil Alameen to Allah Taala farmata hai ki mere bande ne meri hamd o sana bayan ki. Aur jab woh kehta hai Ar-Rahman-ir-Raheem to Allah Taala farmata hai ki mere bande ne meri tareef ki. Aur jab woh kehta hai Maliki Yawm-id-Deen to Allah Taala farmata hai ki mere bande ne meri barai bayan ki. Ye mere aur mere bande ke darmiyaan hai aur mere bande ke liye woh hai jo woh mangta hai. Aur jab woh kehta hai "Iyyaka Na'budu Wa Iyyaka Nasta'een" Surah ke akhir tak to ye mere bande ke liye hai aur mere bande ke liye woh hai jo woh mangta hai.
Ibn Abbas said, regarding the verse, "And do not recite your prayer aloud, nor recite it too quietly," It was revealed while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was hiding in Mecca. When he would pray with his Companions, he would raise his voice in the Quran. The polytheists, when they heard it, would insult the Quran, the One who revealed it, and the one who brought it. So Allah said to His Prophet ﷺ, "And do not recite your prayer aloud," meaning, your recitation, so that the polytheists will hear and insult the Quran. "Nor recite it too quietly," so that your Companions cannot hear you. "And seek a way between those two."
ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ''لاتَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا'' کے بارے میں کہا کہ یہ آیت اس وقت نازل ہوئی جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ میں چھپ کر نماز پڑھتے تھے۔ جب آپ اپنے صحابہ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھتے تو قرآن بلند آواز سے پڑھتے تھے۔ مشرکین جب سنتے تو قرآن، اسے نازل کرنے والے اور اسے لانے والے کی توہین کرتے تھے۔ تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا کہ ''اپنی نماز میں نہ بہت اونچی آواز رکھو'' یعنی اپنی تلاوت میں تاکہ مشرکین سن کر قرآن کی توہین نہ کریں۔ ''اور نہ بہت دھیمی'' تاکہ تمہارے ساتھی تمہیں سن نہ سکیں۔ ''اور ان دونوں کے درمیان ایک راستہ اختیار کرو''۔
Ibn Abbas Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki ''La Tajhar Bi Salatika Wala Tukhafit Biha'' ke bare mein kaha ki yeh ayat us waqt nazil hui jab Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Makkah mein chhup kar namaz parhte thay. Jab Aap apne sahaba ke sath namaz parhte toh Quran buland aawaz se parhte thay. Mushrikeen jab sunte toh Quran, isey nazil karne wale aur isey lane wale ki tauheen karte thay. Toh Allah Ta'ala ne apne Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se kaha ki ''Apni namaz mein na bahut oonchi aawaz rakho'' yani apni tilawat mein taake Mushrikeen sun kar Quran ki tauheen na karein. ''Aur na bahut dheemi'' taake tumhare sathi tumhein sun na sakein. ''Aur in dono ke darmiyan ek rasta ikhtiyar karo''.
Nu'aym al-Mujmir said: I prayed behind Abu Hurairah. He said "Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim" then he recited Umm al-Kitab (Surat al-Fatihah). When he reached {Ghayril-maghdubi 'alayhim wa lad-dallin} he said "Ameen" and the people said "Ameen." When he bowed he said "Allahu Akbar." When he raised his head he said "Sami'a Allahu liman Hamidah." Then he said "Allahu Akbar" then prostrated. When he raised his head he said "Allahu Akbar." Then he prostrated and said "Allahu Akbar." When he raised his head he said "Allahu Akbar" then stood up while saying Takbir. When he stood up from the two rak'ahs he said "Allahu Akbar." When he finished the prayer he said "By the One in Whose Hand my soul is, verily I am the most resembling of you in prayer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”
نعیم مُجمر نے بیان کیا : میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی۔ انہوں نے "بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم" کہا پھر سورۃ الفاتحہ پڑھی۔ جب وہ {غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين} پر پہنچے تو "آمین" کہا اور لوگوں نے بھی کہا "آمین"۔ جب وہ رکوع میں گئے تو کہا "اللہ اکبر"۔ جب سر اٹھایا تو کہا "سمع اللہ لمن حمدہ"۔ پھر کہا "اللہ اکبر" پھر سجدہ کیا۔ جب سر اٹھایا تو کہا "اللہ اکبر"۔ پھر سجدہ کیا اور کہا "اللہ اکبر"۔ جب سر اٹھایا تو کہا "اللہ اکبر" پھر کھڑے ہو گئے اور تکبیر کہی۔ جب دو رکعتوں سے کھڑے ہوئے تو کہا "اللہ اکبر"۔ جب نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو کہا "اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، میں تم میں سب سے زیادہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی نماز جیسی نماز پڑھتا ہوں۔"
Naim Mujmir ne bayan kya : main ne Abu Hurairah Radi Allah Anhu ke peechhe namaz parhi. Unhon ne "Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem" kaha phir Surah Al-Fatiha parhi. Jab wo {Ghair-il-Maghdubi Alaihim Wa La Dhalleen} per pahunche to "Aameen" kaha aur logon ne bhi kaha "Aameen". Jab wo ruku mein gaye to kaha "Allahu Akbar". Jab sar uthaya to kaha "Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah". Phir kaha "Allahu Akbar" phir sijda kya. Jab sar uthaya to kaha "Allahu Akbar". Phir sijda kya aur kaha "Allahu Akbar". Jab sar uthaya to kaha "Allahu Akbar" phir kharay ho gaye aur takbeer kahi. Jab do rakaton se kharay huye to kaha "Allahu Akbar". Jab namaz se farigh huye to kaha "Iss Zaat ki qasam jis ke haath mein meri jaan hai, mein tum mein sab se zyada Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki namaz jaisi namaz parhta hun."
Anas narrated that: The Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman, may Allah be pleased with them, used to start the recitation with: "All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds."
حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ، حضرت ابوبکر، حضرت عمر اور حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہم، سب قرأت کی ابتدا " الحمد للہ رب العالمین " سے فرمایا کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Anas Radi Allaho Anho se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam, Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar aur Hazrat Usman Radi Allaho Anhum, sab qirat ki ibtida "Alhumdulillah Hirrabbil Alamin" se farmaya karte thay.
Anas bin Malik narrated: "I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman, may Allah be pleased with them, and I did not hear any of them recite Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim aloud."
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ، ”میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم، حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ، حضرت عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہ اور حضرت عثمان غنی رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی ہے، میں نے ان میں سے کسی کو بھی بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم بلند آواز سے پڑھتے نہیں سنا۔“
Hazrat Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu se riwayat hai ki, ”main ne Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq radi Allahu anhu, Hazrat Umar Farooq radi Allahu anhu aur Hazrat Usman Ghani radi Allahu anhu ke peeche namaz parhi hai, main ne in mein se kisi ko bhi Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem buland aawaz se parhte nahi suna."
Anas narrated that the Prophet, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman - may Allah be pleased with them - used to begin their recitation with: "All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ، ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ، عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہ، اور عثمان ذوالنورین رضی اللہ عنہ، جب قراء ت شروع فرماتے تو ''الحمد للہ رب العالمین'' سے شروع فرماتے تھے۔
Anas Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Abu Bakar Siddique Radi Allahu Anhu, Umar Farooq Radi Allahu Anhu, aur Usman Zulnoorain Radi Allahu Anhu, jab qirat shuru farmate to Alhamdulillah Hirabbil Aalameen se shuru farmate thay.
Nu'aym al-Mujmir said: "I prayed behind Abu Hurairah and he recited, 'In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,' then he recited Umm al-Quran (Surah al-Fatihah) until he reached, '...and not those who are astray.' He said, 'Ameen,' and the people said, 'Ameen.' Every time he prostrated he would say, 'Allahu Akbar,' and when he rose from the sitting position he would say, 'Allahu Akbar,' and when he finished (the prayer) he said, 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I am the most resembling of you in prayer to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).'"
نعیم مجمر نے کہا: "میں نے ابوہریرہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی اور انہوں نے " اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے" پڑھی، پھر انہوں نے ام القرآن (سورۃ الفاتحہ) پڑھی یہاں تک کہ وہ " اور نہ گمراہ ہونے والوں کے" پر پہنچے۔ انہوں نے کہا، 'آمین،' اور لوگوں نے کہا، 'آمین۔' جب بھی وہ سجدہ کرتے تو کہتے، 'اللہ اکبر،' اور جب وہ بیٹھنے کی حالت سے اٹھتے تو کہتے، 'اللہ اکبر،' اور جب وہ (نماز) ختم کرتے تو کہتے، 'اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، میں تم میں سے سب سے زیادہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی نماز سے مشابہت رکھتا ہوں۔'"
Naeem Mujmar ne kaha: "Main ne Abu Hurairah ke peeche namaz parhayi aur unhon ne "Allah ke naam se jo bada meharbaan nihayat rehmat wala hai" parhi, phir unhon ne Umm ul-Quran (Surah Al-Fatiha) parhi yahan tak ke woh "wa la 'd-daaal leen" par pahunche. Unhon ne kaha, 'Aameen,' aur logon ne kaha, 'Aameen.' Jab bhi woh sajdah karte toh kahte, 'Allahu Akbar,' aur jab woh baithne ki halat se uthte toh kahte, 'Allahu Akbar,' aur jab woh (namaz) khatam karte toh kahte, 'Is Zaat ki qasam jis ke haath mein meri jaan hai, main tum mein se sab se zyada Rasul Allah ﷺ ki namaz se mushabashat rakhta hun.'"
Anas narrated: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, Abu Bakr, and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, did not recite aloud, "In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate."
حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ابوبکر اور عمر رضی اللہ عنہما "بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم" کو اونچی آواز سے نہیں پڑھتے تھے۔

Anas narrated that the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, did not recite aloud with “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” but they would recite aloud with “Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”
حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ، حضرت ابوبکر اور حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہم "بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ" کو ظاہر نہیں پڑھتے تھے لیکن "الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ" کو ظاہر پڑھتے تھے۔
