It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhu that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade (the hairstyle called) "Qaza'." "Qaza'" means that when a child's hair is cut, some of the hair is shaved off and some of it is left.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ”قزع“ سے منع فرمایا ہے ”قزع“ کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ بچے کے بال کٹواتے وقت کچھ بال کٹوا لئے جائیں اور کچھ چھوڑ دئیے جائیں۔

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The Maghrib prayer is the Witr of the day, so you should also offer the Witr of the night. And the night prayer consists of two rak'ahs, and the Witr is one rak'ah at the end of the night."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”مغرب کی نماز دن کا وتر ہیں، سو تم رات کا وتر بھی ادا کیا کرو اور رات کی نماز دو دو رکعت پر مشتمل ہوتی ہے اور وتر کی رات کے آخری حصے میں ایک رکعت ہوتی ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Maghrib ki namaz din ka witr hain, so tum raat ka witr bhi ada kiya karo aur raat ki namaz do do rakat par mushtamil hoti hai aur witr ki raat ke aakhiri hisse mein ek rakat hoti hai.”
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade "Qaza'." "Qaza'" means to shave some of the child's hair and leave some.

Zaid bin Aslam narrates from his father that once I went with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, to Abdullah bin Mut'i's house. He welcomed Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, and ordered the people to offer him a pillow. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, said, "I have come to narrate to you a hadith that I heard from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: 'Whoever withdraws his hand from the rightly guided ruler of his time, his argument will not be accepted on the Day of Judgment, and whoever dies deserting the Jama'ah (congregation) has died the death of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance).'"

زید بن اسلم اپنے والد سے نقل کرتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ عبداللہ بن مطیع کے یہاں گیا، اس نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو خوش آمدید کہا، اور لوگوں کو حکم دیا کہ انہیں تکیہ پیش کرو، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ میں آپ کو ایک حدیث سنانے آیا ہوں جو میں نے نبی ﷺ سے سنی ہے میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جو شخص صحیح حکمران وقت سے ہاتھ کھینچتا ہے، قیامت کے دن اس کی کوئی حجت قبول نہ ہو گی اور جو شخص "جماعت " کو چھوڑ کر مرگیا تو وہ جاہلیت کی موت مرا۔
Zaid bin Aslam apne walid se naqal karte hain ke ek martaba main Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke sath Abdullah bin Mutee ke yahan gaya, usne Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ko khush aamadeed kaha, aur logon ko hukum diya ke unhen takiya pesh karo, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ke main aapko ek hadees sunane aaya hun jo maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate hue suna hai ke jo shakhs sahih hukmran waqt se hath khenchta hai, qayamat ke din uski koi hujjat qubool na ho gi aur jo shakhs "jamaat" ko chhor kar mar gaya to wo jahiliyat ki maut mara.
Thamama bin Shuraijil (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Once I visited Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and we asked him about the prayer of a traveler. He said: "It is two rak'ahs except for Maghrib, which is three rak'ahs." I asked: "What is the ruling if we are in 'Dhi al-Majaz'?" He asked: "What is 'Dhi al-Majaz'?" I said: "It is a place where we gather, buy and sell, and spend twenty or twenty-five days there." Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O man, I was in Azerbaijan for four months or two months (I don't remember). I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying two rak'ahs there. And I have seen with my own eyes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying two rak'ahs while traveling." Then he recited this verse: "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example..."

ثمامہ بن شراجیل رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا ہم نے ان سے مسافر کی نماز کے متعلق پوچھا انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اس کی دو دو رکعتیں ہیں سوائے مغرب کے, کہ اس کی تین ہی رکعتیں ہیں"، میں نے پوچھا اگر ہم ”ذی المجاز“ میں ہوں تو کیا حکم ہے؟ انہوں نے پوچھا: ”ذوالمجاز“ کس چیز کا نام ہے؟ میں نے کہا کہ ایک جگہ کا نام ہے جہاں ہم لوگ اکٹھے ہوتے ہیں خریدو فروخت کرتے ہیں اور بیس پچیس دن وہاں گزارتے ہیں، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا: اے شخص میں آذر بائجان میں تھا وہاں چار یا دو ماہ رہا (یہ یاد نہیں) میں نے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو وہاں دو دو رکعتیں ہی پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا پھر میں نے اپنی آنکھوں سے نبی ﷺ کو دوران سفر دو دو رکعتیں پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے، پھر انہوں نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی کہ " تمہارے لئے پیغمبر اللہ کی ذات میں بہترین نمونہ موجود ہے۔
Sumamah bin Shrajeel rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ki aik martaba main Sayyiduna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ki khidmat mein hazir hua hum ne un se musafir ki namaz ke mutaliq poocha unhon ne farmaya ki is ki do do rakat hain siwae Maghrib ke, ki is ki teen hi rakat hain", main ne poocha agar hum ”Zi al-Majaz“ mein hon to kya hukum hai? Unhon ne poocha: ”Zulmajaz“ kis cheez ka naam hai? Main ne kaha ki aik jagah ka naam hai jahan hum log ikatthey hote hain kharid o farokht karte hain aur bees pacchis din wahan guzarte hain, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne farmaya: Aye shakhs main Azarbaijan mein tha wahan chaar ya do mah raha (ye yaad nahin) main ne Sahaba razi Allah anhum ko wahan do do rakaten hi parhte hue dekha phir main ne apni aankhon se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dauran safar do do rakaten parhte hue dekha hai, phir unhon ne yeh ayat tilawat ki keh " Tumhare liye Paighambar Allah ki zaat mein behtarin namona mojood hai.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I saw myself in a dream near the Kaaba, at Maqam Ibrahim, and there I saw a man with wheatish complexion and straight hair, his hand placed on the shoulders of two men, with water dripping from his head." I asked, "Who is this?" It was said, "This is Jesus, son of Mary." Then, behind him, I saw a man with reddish, curly hair, blind in his right eye, resembling, in my view, Ibn Qatn the most. I asked, "Who is this?" It was said, "This is the Dajjal (Antichrist)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”میں نے ایک مرتبہ خواب میں خانہ کعبہ کے قریب مقام ابراہیم کے پاس گندمی رنگ اور سیدھے بالوں والے ایک آدمی کو دیکھا جس نے اپنا ہاتھ دو آدمیوں پر رکھا ہوا تھا، اس کے سر سے پانی کے قطرات ٹپک رہے تھے“، میں نے پوچھا کہ یہ کون ہیں؟ پتہ چلا کہ یہ سیدنا عیسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں، پھر ان کے پیچھے میں نے سرخ رنگ کے گھنگھریالے بالوں والے دائیں آنکھ سے کانے اور میری دید کے مطابق ابن قطن سے انتہائی مشابہہ شخص کو دیکھا، میں نے پوچھا یہ کون ہے؟ تو پتہ چلا کہ یہ مسیح دجال ہے۔
Sayyidina Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Main ne ek martaba khwab mein Khana Kaaba ke qareeb Maqam Ibrahim ke pass gandumi rang aur seedhe baalon wale ek aadmi ko dekha jis ne apna hath do aadmiyon par rakha hua tha, uske sar se pani ke qatrat tappak rahe the”, main ne poocha ki yeh kaun hain? Pata chala ki yeh Sayyidina Isa Alaihissalam hain, phir unke peeche main ne surkh rang ke ghungrale baalon wale dayen aankh se kane aur meri dedh ke mutabiq Ibn Qatan se intehai mushabaha shakhs ko dekha, main ne poocha yeh kaun hai? To pata chala ki yeh Maseeh Dajjal hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Once in a dream, a bowl of milk was brought to me, I drank so much of it that it started coming out of my nails, then I gave the rest to Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How did you interpret it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "[As the acquisition of] Knowledge."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ خواب میں میرے پاس دودھ کا ایک پیالہ لایا گیا، میں نے اسے اتنا پیا کہ میرے ناخنوں سے دودھ نکلنے لگا، پھر میں نے اپنا پس خوردہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو دے دیا کسی نے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے اس کی کیا تعبیر لی؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”علم۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh farmate huye suna hai keh ek martaba khwab mein mere pass doodh ka ek piyala laya gaya, maine usay itna piya keh mere nakhunon se doodh nikalne laga, phir maine apna pas khurda Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko de diya kisi ne poocha: Ya Rasulullah! Aap ne us ki kya tabeer li? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Ilm".
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (RA): I used to sell camels in the market of Al-Baqi'. If I sold them for dinars, I would take dirhams from the buyer, and if I sold them for dirhams, I would take dinars from him. One day, I went to the Prophet (PBUH) to inquire about this matter. He (PBUH) was about to enter his house. I held onto his clothes and asked him about it. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "When you receive one of them in exchange for the other, do not separate from your companion until you have settled the deal between you."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں جنت البقیع میں اونٹ بیچا کرتا تھا، اگر دینار کے بدلے بیچتا تو میں خریدار سے درہم لے لیتا اور دراہم کے بدلے بیچتا تو اس سے دینار لے لیتا، ایک دن میں یہ مسئلہ معلوم کرنے کے لئے نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا، اس وقت آپ ﷺ اپنے حجرے میں داخل ہو رہے تھے، میں نے آپ ﷺ کے کپڑے پکڑ کر یہ مسئلہ دریافت کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب تم ان دونوں میں سے کسی ایک کو دوسرے کے بدلے وصول کرو تو اس وقت تک اپنے ساتھی سے جدا نہ ہو جب تک تمہارے اور اس کے درمیان بیع کا کوئی معاملہ باقی ہو“۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki main Jannat al-Baqi mein unt becha karta tha, agar dinar ke badle bechata to main kharidar se dirham le leta aur dirham ke badle bechata to us se dinar le leta, ek din main yeh masla maloom karne ke liye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aaya, us waqt Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne hujre mein dakhil ho rahe the, maine Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke kapde pakad kar yeh masla دریافت kia to Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jab tum in donon mein se kisi ek ko dusre ke badle wasool karo to us waqt tak apne sathi se juda na ho jab tak tumhare aur us ke darmiyan bay ka koi mamla baqi ho".
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (ra) that once, while leading the Zuhr prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the sajdah tilawat (prostration of recitation) in the first rak'ah. The Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them) thought that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had recited Surah Sajdah.
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے ظہر کی نماز پڑھاتے ہوئے پہلی رکعت میں سجدہ تلاوت کیا, صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم کا خیال تھا کہ آپ ﷺ نے سورت سجدہ کی تلاوت فرمائی ہے۔
Saina Ibne Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai keh aik martaba Nabi sallallaho alaihi wasallam ne zohar ki namaz parhate hue pehli rakat mein Sajda Tilawat kiya, Sahaba kiram Radi Allaho Anhum ka khayal tha keh aap sallallaho alaihi wasallam ne Surah Sajdah ki tilawat farmai hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that "I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offering a supererogatory prayer on a donkey while he was facing towards the east."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو گدھے پر نفلی نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے، اس وقت آپ ﷺ مشرق کو جا رہے تھے۔

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhu that when Ghaylan bin Salmah Thaqafi accepted Islam, he had ten wives in his marriage, and they all accepted Islam along with him. The Prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him said to him, "Choose four of them (and divorce the remaining six).".

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ غیلان بن سلمہ ثقفی نے جس وقت اسلام قبول کیا، ان کے نکاح میں دس بیویاں تھیں،اور ان سب نے بھی ان کے ہمراہ اسلام قبول کر لیا تھا، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ ان میں سے چار کو منتخب کر لو (اور باقی چھ کو طلاق دے دو)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Ghailan bin Salma Saqafi ne jis waqt Islam qubool kiya, un ke nikah mein das biwiyan thin, aur un sab ne bhi un ke hamrah Islam qubool kar liya tha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya ki un mein se chaar ko muntakhib kar lo (aur baqi chhe ko talaq de do).
Narrated by Ibn Umar (RA): I used to sell camels in the market of Al-Baqi'. If I sold them for dinars, I would take dirhams from the buyer, and if I sold them for dirhams, I would take dinars from him. One day, I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) to ask him about this matter. I found him outside the house of Hafsa (RA). I asked him about it, and he said: "There is no harm in it if it is an exchange of price."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں جنت البقیع میں اونٹ بیچا کرتا تھا، اگر دینار کے بدلے بیچتا تو میں خریدار سے درہم لے لیتا اور دراہم کے بدلے بیچتا تو اس سے دینارلے لیتا، ایک دن میں یہ مسئلہ معلوم کرنے کے لئے نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا اس وقت آپ ﷺ کو میں نے سیدہ حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے گھر کے باہرپایا، میں نے آپ ﷺ سے یہ مسئلہ دریافت کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اگر قیمت کے بدلے میں ہو تو کوئی حرج نہیں ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar RA se marvi hai ki main Jannat al-Baqi mein unt becha karta tha, agar dinar ke badle bechata to main kharidar se dirham le leta aur dirham ke badle bechata to us se dinar le leta, ek din main ye masla maloom karne ke liye Nabi SAW ke paas aaya us waqt aap SAW ko main ne Sayyida Hafsa RA ke ghar ke bahar paya, main ne aap SAW se ye masla دریافت kia to aap SAW ne farmaya: "Agar qeemat ke badle mein ho to koi harj nahin hai."
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said (while he was on the pulpit): "People should stop abandoning Jumu'ah (Friday prayer), otherwise Allah will seal their hearts and they will be included among the heedless."

سیدنا ابن عمر اور ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: (جبکہ آپ ﷺ منبر پر تشریف فرما تھے) ”لوگ جمعہ چھوڑنے سے باز آ جائیں، ورنہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگادے گا اور انہیں غافلوں میں لکھ دے گا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar aur Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: (jabke aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mimbar par tashrif farma thay) "Log Juma chhorne se baz aa jayen, warna Allah Ta'ala unke dilon par mohar laga dega aur unhen gafalon mein likh dega."
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah! People cheat me in buying and selling.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “You should say: ‘There is no cheating in this transaction.’”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا: یا رسول اللہ! خرید و فروخت میں لوگ مجھے دھوکہ دے دیتے ہیں۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم یوں کہہ لیا کرو کہ اس بیع میں کوئی دھوکہ نہیں ہے“۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek aadmi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aaya aur kahne laga: Ya Rasulullah! Kharid o farokht mein log mujhe dhoka dete hain. Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Tum yun kah liya karo ki is bay mein koi dhoka nahi hai“.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say, “We have seen a time when in our sight, the one with dirhams and dinars was not more beloved to us than our poor Muslim brother. And now we see a time in which dinars and dirhams are more beloved than a Muslim brother.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے تھے کہ ہم نے ایک زمانہ وہ دیکھا ہے جب ہماری نظروں میں درہم و دینار والا اپنے غریب مسلمان بھائی سے زیادہ حقدار نہ ہوتا تھا اور اب ہم یہ زمانہ دیکھ رہے ہیں کہ جس میں دینار و درہم ایک مسلمان بھائی سے زیادہ عزیز ہیں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate thy k hum ny ek zamana woh dekha hai jab humari nazron mein dirham o dinar wala apne ghareeb musalman bhai sy ziada haqdaar na hota tha aur ab hum ye zamana dekh rahe hain k jis mein dinar o dirham ek musalman bhai sy ziada aziz hain.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned from the Battle of Uhud, the women of the Ansar began to weep for their husbands. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no one to weep for Hamza.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fell asleep. When he woke up, the women were still weeping. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “They will continue to weep in the name of Hamza today. Tell them to go back and not weep for any dead person from today onwards.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ جب نبی ﷺ غزوہ احد سے واپس ہوئے تو انصار کی عورتیں اپنے اپنے شوہروں پر رونے لگیں نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”حمزہ کے لئے کوئی رونے والی نہیں ہے“، پھر نبی ﷺ کی آنکھ لگ گئی، بیدار ہوئے تو وہ خواتین اسی طرح رورہی تھیں نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ آج حمزہ کے نام لے کر روتی ہی رہیں گی انہیں کہہ دو کہ واپس چلی جائیں اور آج کے بعد کسی مرنے والے پر مت روئیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Ghazwa Uhud se wapas huye to Ansar ki aurten apne apne shoharon par rone lagin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya Hamza ke liye koi rone wali nahi hai phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki aankh lag gayi bedar huye to wo khawateen usi tarah ror hi thin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya yeh aaj Hamza ke naam lekar roti hi rahengi inhen keh do ki wapas chali jayen aur aaj ke baad kisi marne wale par mat royen
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them both) that once he was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to repeat this phrase: "O Allah, forgive me and turn to me in forgiveness. Verily, You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Forgiving," until the one who was counting counted it a hundred times on his hand.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ وہ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ یہ جملہ «اللّهُمَّ اغفِرليِ وَتُب عَلَيَّ اِنَّكَ اَنتَ التَوَّابُ الغَفُورٌ» دہرانے لگے حتٰی کہ گننے والے نے اسے اپنے ہاتھ پر سو مرتبہ شمار کیا۔
Saina Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba woh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath baithe hue the ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) yeh jumla "Allahumma igfirli wa tub alaiya innaka antat tawwabul ghafoor" dohraane lage hatta ki ginne wale ne ise apne hath par sau martaba shumar kiya.
Imam Shabi (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "I used to visit Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) for about two and a half years, but during that time I did not hear any other Hadith from him (and look at Hasan, how many Hadiths he narrates seeing the need). Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Some of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), including Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) began to eat meat that was served. One of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called out and said, ‘This is the meat of a lizard.' Upon hearing this, the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) stopped. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Eat it, it is Halal and there is no harm in eating it, although it is not something I eat.'"

امام شعبی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس ڈیڑھ دو سال کے قریب آتا جاتا رہا ہوں لیکن اس دوران میں نے اس کے علاوہ کوئی اور حدیث نہیں سنی (اور حسن کو دیکھ کر وہ کتنی حدیثیں بیان کرتے ہیں) سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ کے کچھ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ " جن میں سیدنا سعد رضی اللہ عنہ بھی تھے " دسترخوان پر موجود گوشت کھانے لگے نبی ﷺ کی کسی زوجہ محترمہ نے پکار کر کہا کہ یہ گوہ کا گوشت ہے یہ سنتے ہی صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ رک گئے نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اسے کھالو یہ حلال ہے اور اسے کھانے میں کوئی حرج نہیں البتہ یہ میرے کھانے کی چیز نہیں ہے۔“
Imam Shabi rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke main Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ke pass derh do saal ke qareeb aata jata raha hun lekin is dauran mein ne iske alawa koi aur hadees nahi suni (aur Hasan ko dekh kar wo kitni hadeesain bayan karte hain) Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne farmaya ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke kuch sahaba razi Allah anhum " jin mein Sayyidna Saad razi Allah anhu bhi thay " dastarkhwan par mojood gosht khane lage Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki kisi zauja muhtarima ne pukar kar kaha ke yeh gaw ka gosht hai yeh sunte hi sahaba razi Allah anhum ruk gaye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Ise kha lo yeh halal hai aur ise khane mein koi harj nahi albatta yeh mere khane ki cheez nahi hai."
Hakim Haza says that a person asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the prayer during travel. He replied that the prayer during travel is two rak'ahs. This is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

حکیم حذاء کہتے ہیں کہ کسی شخص نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے سفر کی نماز کے متعلق دریافت کیا، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ سفر میں نماز کی دو رکعتیں ہیں یہ نبی ﷺ کی سنت ہے۔
Hakim Hazaa kehte hain ki kisi shakhs ne Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma se safar ki namaz ke mutalliq daryaft kiya, unhon ne farmaya ki safar mein namaz ki do rakaten hain ye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki sunnat hai.
Abu Al-Khasib said: "Once I was sitting when Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came. A man got up from his place, but Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did not sit there but went and sat in another place. The man said, 'There would have been no harm if you had sat there.' He replied, 'I cannot sit in your place or anyone else's place, because I saw that once a man came to the gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and another man got up and vacated his place for him, and the newcomer started to sit in his place, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade him.'"

ابوالخصیب کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں بیٹھا ہوا تھا کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما آگئے، ایک آدمی اپنی جگہ چھوڑ کر کھڑا ہو گیا لیکن سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما وہاں نہیں بیٹھے بلکہ دوسری جگہ جا کر بیٹھ گئے، اس آدمی نے کہا کہ اگر آپ وہاں بیٹھ جاتے تو کوئی حرج تو نہیں تھا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: ”میں تمہاری یا کسی اور کی جگہ پر نہیں بیٹھ سکتا کیونکہ میں نے دیکھا ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کی مجلس میں ایک آدمی آیا، دوسرے شخص نے اٹھ کر اپنی جگہ اس کے لئے خالی کر دی اور وہ آنے والا اس کی جگہ پر بیٹھنے لگا تو نبی ﷺ نے اسے منع فرما دیا۔
Abu Al Khaseeb kehte hain ke aik martaba mein betha hua tha ke Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a aa gaye, aik aadmi apni jaga chhor kar khara ho gaya lekin Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a wahan nahin baithe balke dusri jaga ja kar baith gaye, iss aadmi ne kaha ke agar aap wahan baith jate to koi harj to nahin tha? Unhon ne farmaya: "Mein tumhari ya kisi aur ki jaga par nahin baith sakta kyunki maine dekha hai ke aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki majlis mein aik aadmi aaya, dusre shakhs ne uth kar apni jaga iss ke liye khali kar di aur wo aane wala iss ki jaga par baithne laga to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use mana farma diya."
A person from Iraq once asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about the ruling on a pilgrim killing a fly. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "These people of Iraq are asking me about killing flies, while they killed the grandson of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (without asking anyone), even though the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about his two grandsons that 'they are the two flowers of my world'."

ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے عراق کے کسی آدمی نے یہ مسئلہ پوچھا کہ اگر محرم کسی مکھی کو ماردے تو کیا حکم ہے؟ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا: ”یہ اہل عراق آ کر مجھ سے مکھی مارنے کی بارے میں پوچھ رہے ہیں، جبکہ نبی ﷺ کے نواسے کو (کسی سے پوچھے بغیر ہی) شہید کر دیا، حالانکہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے دونوں نواسوں کے متعلق فرمایا تھا کہ ”یہ دونوں میری دنیا کے ریحان ہیں“۔

It is narrated on the authority of our master Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that, in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the words of the Adhan (call to prayer) were pronounced twice each, and the words of the Iqamah (second call to prayer) were pronounced once each. However, "Qad qamat-is-salah" (prayer has commenced) was pronounced twice. And when we heard the Iqamah, we would perform ablution and set out for prayer.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے دور با سعادت میں اذان کے کلمات دو دو مرتبہ اور اقامت کے کلمات ایک ایک مرتبہ کہے جاتے البتہ «قد قامت الصلوة» دومرتبہ ہی کہا جاتا تھا اور ہم جب اقامت سنتے تو وضو کرتے اور نماز کے لئے نکل کھڑے ہوتے۔
Saina Ibne Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai ke Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke dor ba saadat mein Azaan ke kalimat do do martaba aur Iqamat ke kalimat ek ek martaba kahe jate albatta «Qad Qamatissalah» do martaba hi kaha jata tha aur hum jab Iqamat sunte to wazu karte aur Namaz ke liye nikal khade hote.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person once asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that if a man divorces his wife by uttering the word Talaq thrice, and another man marries her but divorces her before consummation of marriage, then will she become lawful for the first husband? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, “No, not until the second husband has tasted her honey.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ سے مسئلہ پوچھا کہ اگر کوئی آدمی اپنی بیوی کو تین طلاقیں دے دے، دوسرا شخص اس عورت سے نکاح کر لے، لیکن دخول سے قبل ہی وہ اسے طلاق دے دے تو کیا وہ پہلے شوہر کے لئے حلال ہو جائے گی؟ فرمایا نہیں، جب تک کہ وہ دوسرا شوہر اس کا شہد نہ چکھ لے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se masla poocha ki agar koi aadmi apni biwi ko teen talaq de de, doosra shakhs us aurat se nikah kar le, lekin dakhil se pehle hi wo use talaq de de to kya wo pehle shohar ke liye halal ho jayegi? Farmaya nahin, jab tak ki wo doosra shohar us ka shahad na chakh le.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade using gourds, dubba', and mizafat, and he said: "Make nabidh in waterskins."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے مٹکے دباء اور مزفت سے منع کیا ہے اور فرمایا: ”ہے کہ مشکیزوں میں نبیذ بنا لیا کرو"۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne matke dabba aur muzfat se mana kya hai aur farmaya: “Hai ki mashkizon mein nabiz bana liya karo”.
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Makkah, performed Tawaf around the Kaaba, prayed two rak'ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim, then he went out towards Safa from the gate that leads to Safa, and performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwa. Then he said, "This is the Sunnah (prescribed way)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ مکہ مکرمہ تشریف لائے، طواف کے ساتھ چکر لگائے، مقام ابراہیم کے پیچھے دو رکعتیں پڑھیں پھر اس دروازے سے صفا کی طرف نکلے جو صفا کی طرف نکلتا ہے اور صفا مروہ کے درمیان سعی کی، پھر فرمایا کہ یہ سنت ہے۔
Sayyida Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Makkah Mukarramah tashreef laaye, tawaf ke sath chakkar lagaye, Maqam Ibrahim ke peeche do rakatein padhin phir is darwaze se Safa ki taraf nikle jo Safa ki taraf nikalta hai aur Safa Marwah ke darmiyan saee ki, phir farmaya ki yeh sunnat hai.
Salam said that Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, used to say regarding the Miqat of Dhu'l-Hulayfah (now known as Abyar-e-Ali), "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, assumed Ihram from the Mosque (in Madinah) and not from Dhu'l-Hulayfah, as you have made it popular."

سالم رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما مقام بیداء کے متعلق فرماتے تھے اور کہتے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ نے مسجد ہی سے احرام باندھا ہے (مقام بیداء سے نہیں جیسا کہ تم نے مشہور کر رکھا ہے)۔
Salim rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke syedna ibn umar razi allaho anhuma maqam baida ke mutalliq farmate thy aur kehte thy ke nabi sallallaho alaihe wasallam ne masjid hi se ehram bandha hai (maqam baida se nahi jaisa ke tumne mashhur kar rakha hai)
It was narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If there was any good or bad omen in anything, it would be in a horse, a woman and a house.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اگر کسی چیز میں نحوست ہوسکتی تو تین چیزوں میں ہوسکتی تھی گھوڑے میں عورت میں اور گھر میں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Agar kisi cheez mein nuhust ho sakti to teen cheezon mein ho sakti thi ghore mein aurat mein aur ghar mein“.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with water."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”بخار جہنم کی تپش کا اثر ہوتا ہے اس لئے اسے پانی سے بجھایا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Bukhar jahannum ki tapish ka asar hota hai is liye ise pani se bujhaya karo."
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Gabriel kept recommending that I treat my neighbor well until I thought that he would inherit (from him)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”پڑوسی کے متعلق مجھے جبرئیل نے اتنے تسلسل سے وصیت کی ہے کہ مجھے خیال ہونے لگا کہ اسے وارث بنادیا جائے گا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Parosi ke mutalliq mujhe Jibraeel ne itne tasalsul se wasiyat ki hai ki mujhe khayal hone laga ki use waris bana diya jayega."
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhu that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said on the occasion of Hajj-tul-Wida: “Do not become disbelievers after me by taking to striking the necks (killing) one another.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر ارشاد فرمایا: ”میرے بعد کافر نہ ہوجانا کہ ایک دوسرے کی گردنیں مارنے لگو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hajjatal Wida ke mauqe par irshad farmaya: “Mere baad kafir na hojana ki ek dusre ki gardanein marne lago.”
Our master Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The keys of everything have been given to me except for five things." Then he recited the verse: "The knowledge of the Hour is with Allah. It is He who sends down rain, and He knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”مجھے ہر چیز کی کنجیاں دے دی گئی ہیں سوائے پانچ چیزوں کے، پھر انہوں نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی کہ "قیامت کا علم اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے، وہی بارش برساتا ہے، وہی جانتا ہے کہ رحم مادر میں کیا ہے؟ کوئی شخص نہیں جانتا کہ وہ کل کیا کمائے گا؟ اور کوئی شخص نہیں جانتا کہ وہ کس سر زمین میں مرے گا؟ بےشک اللہ بڑا جاننے والا باخبر ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Mujhe har cheez ki kunjiyan de di gai hain siwaye panch cheezon ke, phir unhon ne yeh ayat tilawat farmaayi ki "Qayamat ka ilm Allah hi ke pass hai, wohi barish barsata hai, wohi janta hai ki rehm madar mein kya hai? Koi shakhs nahin janta ki woh kal kya kamayega? Aur koi shakhs nahin janta ki woh kis sar zameen mein marega? Beshak Allah bada jaanay wala bakhabar hai"
Zayd ibn Jubayr reported that (he was with Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, in Mina) when they passed by a man who had made his she-camel kneel and wanted to slaughter it. Ibn Umar said to him, "Make it stand and tie its legs, then slaughter it, for this is the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."

زیاد بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ (میں میدان منیٰ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ تھا)، راستے میں ان کا گزر ایک آدمی کے پاس سے ہوا جس نے اپنی اونٹنی کو گھٹنوں کے بل بٹھا رکھا تھا اور اسے نحر کرنا چاہتا تھا، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اس سے فرمایا: ”اسے کھڑا کر کے اس کے پاوں باندھ لو اور پھر اسے ذبح کرو، یہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ کی سنت ہے۔“
Ziyad bin Jubair kehte hain ki (main maidan Mina mein Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma ke sath tha), raste mein unka guzar ek aadmi ke paas se hua jisne apni untni ko ghutnon ke bal bitha rakha tha aur use nahar karna chahta tha, Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma ne us se farmaya: "Ise khara kar ke iske paon bandh lo aur phir ise zibah karo, yeh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki sunnat hai."
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If people knew the harm of traveling alone, no one would travel alone at night."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اگر لوگوں کو تنہا سفر کرنے کا نقصان معلوم ہو جائے تو رات کے وقت کوئی بھی تنہاسفر نہ کرے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Agar logon ko tanha safar karne ka nuqsan maloom ho jaye to raat ke waqt koi bhi tanha safar na kare۔“
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had the trees of Banu Nadir cut down and burned.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے بنو نضیر کے درخت کٹوا کر انہیں آگ لگا دی۔
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Banu Nazeer ke darakht katwa kar unhen aag laga di.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to wear his ring with the stone facing his palm.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ آپ ﷺ اپنی انگوٹھی کا نگینہ ہتھیلی کی طرف کر لیتے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni ungothi ka nageena hatheli ki taraf kar lete the.
It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There were Zoroastrians (Magians) in every nation, and the Zoroastrians (Magians) of my nation are the Qadariyyah (those who deny Al-Qadar, Divine Decree). If they fall sick, do not visit them, and if they die, do not attend their funerals."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”ہر امت کے مجوسی ہوئے ہیں اور میری امت کے مجوسی قدریہ (منکر ین تقدیر) ہیں اگر یہ بیمار ہوں تو تم ان کی عیادت کو نہ جاؤ اور اگر مر جائیں تو ان کے جنازے میں شرکت نہ کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Har ummat ke majusi huye hain aur meri ummat ke majusi qadriya (munkirin taqdeer) hain agar ye bimar hon to tum inki aiyadat ko na jao aur agar mar jayen to inke janaze mein shirkat na karo.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When any one of you prays, let him not allow anyone to pass in front of him, and if he does not desist then let him fight him, for he has his companion (the Shaytan) with him."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص نماز پڑھ رہاہو تو کسی کو اپنے آگے سے نہ گزرنے دے، اگر وہ باز نہ آئے تو اس سے لڑے کیونکہ اس کے ساتھ اس کا ہم نشین (شیطان) ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi shakhs namaz parh raha ho to kisi ko apne aage se na guzarne de, agar woh baz na aaye to us se lare kyunki us ke sath us ka hum nashi (shaitan) hai."
Hafs ibn Ubaydullah said that when Abdur Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Khattab passed away, the people wanted to take him for burial at night because the crowd had become very large. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that it is better to wait until morning because I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that the sun rises between the two horns of Satan.

حفص بن عبیداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب عبدالرحمن بن زید بن خطاب کا انتقال ہوا تو لوگوں نے رات ہی کو انہیں تدفین کے لئے لے جانا چاہا کیونکہ رش بہت زیادہ ہو گیا تھا, سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرمانے لگے کہ اگر صبح ہونے تک رک جاؤ تو اچھا ہے کیونکہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ سورج شیطان کے سینگ کے ساتھ طلوع ہوتا ہے۔
Hafs bin Ubaidullah kahte hain ki jab Abdul Rahman bin Zaid bin Khattab ka inteqal hua to logon ne raat hi ko unhen tadfeen ke liye le jana chaha kyunkah rush bohat ziada ho gaya tha, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmane lage ki agar subah hone tak ruk jao to achha hai kyunkah maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko farmate huye suna hai ki sooraj shaitan ke seeng ke sath طلوع hota hai.
Saeed bin Jubair said: Once I went out with Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, from his house. We passed by some young men of Quraysh who had tied a bird and were practicing their archery on it. They had said to the owner of the bird that any arrow that missed would be his. Upon this, Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, became angry and said, "Who is doing this?" At this, all the young men dispersed. Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who ties a living being and practices archery on it.

سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ ان کے گھر سے نکلا، ہمارا گزر قریش کے کچھ نوجوانوں پر ہوا جنہوں نے ایک پرندہ کو باندھ رکھا تھا اور اس پر اپنا نشانہ درست کر رہے تھے اور پرندے کے مالک سے کہہ رکھا تھا کہ جو تیر چوک جائے وہ تمھارا ہوگا، اس پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما غصے میں آ گئے اور فرمانے لگے یہ کون کر رہا ہے؟ اسی وقت سارے نوجوان دائیں بائیں ہو گئے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس شخص پر لعنت فرمائی ہے جو کسی جاندارچیز کو باندھ کر اس پر نشانہ درست کرے۔
Saeed bin Jubair kehte hain ke ek martaba main Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma ke saath un ke ghar se nikla, hamara guzar Quresh ke kuch naujawanon par hua jinhon ne ek parinda ko bandh rakha tha aur us par apna nishana durust kar rahe the aur parinde ke malik se keh rakha tha ke jo teer chook jaye wo tumhara hoga, is par Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma gusse mein aa gaye aur farmane lage ye kaun kar raha hai? Isi waqt sare naujawan dayen baayen ho gaye Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu anhuma ne farmaya ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is shakhs par laanat farmai hai jo kisi jandar cheez ko bandh kar us par nishana durust kare.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that once the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, held a horse racing competition.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے گھڑ دور کا مقابلہ کروایا۔
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ghur door ka muqabala karwaya.
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), that once Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Pass me the mat from the mosque." She said, "I am menstruating." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا: ”مجھے مسجد سے چٹائی پکڑانا“، وہ کہنے لگیں کہ وہ ایام سے ہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تمہارا حیض تمہارے ہاتھ میں تو نہیں ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba Sayyida Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se farmaya: “Mujhe masjid se chatai pakrana”, woh kehne lagi ke woh ayyam se hain, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Tumhara haiz tumhare hath mein to nahin hai.”
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer only two rak'ahs of prayer while traveling, although he would offer Tahajjud at night. The narrator says that I asked Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) if he (the Prophet) would offer both rak'ahs of Witr? He replied in the affirmative.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سفر میں دو رکعت نماز ہی پڑھتے تھے، البتہ رات کو تہجد پڑھ لیا کرتے تھے، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سالم رحمہ اللہ سے پوچھا کیا وہ دونوں وتر پڑھتے تھے؟ انہوں نے اثبات میں جواب دیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) safar mein do rakat namaz hi parhte the, albatta raat ko tahajud parh liya karte the, ravi kehte hain ki maine Salim Rahimahullah se pucha kya woh dono witr parhte the? Unhon ne isbat mein jawab diya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" لَا يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَهَجَّدُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ"، قال: وكان ابن عمر لا يصلي في إلا ركعتين، غير أنه كان يتجهد من الليل، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَقُلْتُ لِسَالِمٍ: كَانَا يُوتِرَانِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ.
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 5591
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were participating in a battle. During the battle, we became afraid and started to flee. At first, we decided to escape by sea. Then we went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! We are about to flee." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No, rather you will turn back and attack."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ کسی جہاد میں شریک تھے، ہم لوگ دوران جنگ گھبرا کر بھاگنے لگے، پہلے ہمارا ارادہ بنا کہ بحری سفر پر چلے جاتے ہیں پھر ہم نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو گئے، اور ہم نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! ہم فرار ہو کر بھاگنے والے ہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”نہیں، بلکہ تم پلٹ کر حملہ کر نے والے ہو۔“
Syedna Ibn Umar RA se marvi hai ki aik martaba hum log kisi jihad mein sharik thay, hum log dauran jang ghabra kar bhagne lage, pehle hamara irada bana ki bahri safar par chale jatay hain phir hum Nabi SAW ki khidmat mein hazir ho gaye, aur hum ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah hum farar ho kar bhagne wale hain, Nabi SAW ne farmaya: "Nahi, balki tum palat kar hamla karne wale ho.".
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade making vows, saying that it does not bring any good, but it is only a way to extract wealth from a stingy person.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے منت ماننے سے منع کرتے ہوئے فرمایا ہے کہ اس سے کوئی بھلائی تو ملتی نہیں البتہ بخیل آدمی سے اسی طرح مال نکلوایا جاتا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mannat maangne se mana karte hue farmaya hai ki is se koi bhalai to milti nahin albatta bakhil aadmi se isi tarah maal nikalwaya jata hai.
Sa'd ibn 'Ubayd (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Once, I was sitting with Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). After a while, I got up and went to sit with Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him). A little later, my foolish companion came, his face pale and yellow. He said, ‘A man came to Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman! If I swear by the Ka'bah, will it be a sin on me?" He said, "No, but if you want to swear by the Ka'bah, then swear by the Lord of the Ka'bah, for 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to swear by his father, until the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Do not swear by your fathers, for whoever swears by other than Allah has committed shirk (polytheism)."'"

سعد بن عبیدہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا، تھوڑی دیر بعد میں وہاں سے اٹھا اور جا کر سعید بن مسیب رحمہ اللہ کے پاس بیٹھ گیا، اتنی دیر میں میرا کندی ساتھی آیا، اس کے چہرے کا رنگ متغیر اور پیلا زرد ہو رہا تھا اس نے آتے ہی کہا کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس ایک آدمی آیا اور کہنے لگا اے ابوعبدالرحمن! اگر میں خانہ کعبہ کی قسم کھاؤں تو کیا مجھ پر گناہ ہو گا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نہیں، لیکن اگر تم خانۂ کعبہ کی قسم ہی کھانا چاہتے ہو تو رب کعبہ کی قسم کھاؤ، کیونکہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اپنے باپ کی قسم کھایا کرتے تھے، ایک دن نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اپنے باپ کی قسم نہ کھایا کرو کیونکہ غیر اللہ کی قسم کھانے والا شرک کرتا ہے۔“
Sad bin Ubaida Rahmatullah Aleh kehte hain ke main ek martaba Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke paas baitha hua tha, thori der baad main wahan se utha aur ja kar Saeed bin Musayyab Rahmatullah Aleh ke paas baith gaya, itni der mein mera ek dost aya, uske chehre ka rang mutagaiyyer aur peela zard ho raha tha usne aate hi kaha ke Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke paas ek aadmi aya aur kehne laga aye Abu Abdur Rahman! Agar main Khanah Kaaba ki qasam khaun to kya mujh par gunah hoga? Unhon ne farmaya ke nahin, lekin agar tum Khanah Kaaba ki qasam hi khana chahte ho to Rab Kaaba ki qasam khao, kyunki Sayyiduna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) apne baap ki qasam khaya karte the, ek din Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Apne baap ki qasam na khaya karo kyunki ghair Allah ki qasam khane wala shirk karta hai.
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: When Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would return from Hajj or 'Umrah, he would make his she-camel sit down at Dhu'l-Hulayfah, which is in the valley of Batha', and he would say: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to spend the night here until he had prayed Fajr.

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما جب حج یا عمرہ سے واپس آتے تو ذوالحلیفہ میں جو وادی بطحاء ہے، وہاں اپنی اونٹنی کو بٹھاتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ بھی رات یہیں پر گزارا کرتے تھے تا آنکہ فجر کی نماز پڑھ لیتے۔
Nafi rahmatullah alaih kehte hain ki sayyidna ibn umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a jab hajj ya umrah se wapas aate to dhul hulayfah mein jo wadi batha hai wahan apni untni ko bithate the aur farmate the ki nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi raat yahin par guzara karte the ta aankah fajr ki namaz parh lete.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that an angel came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was at a resting place and said: "You are in the blessed Batha."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے پڑاؤ میں ایک فرشتہ آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ آپ مبارک بطحاء میں ہیں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke padav mein ek farishta aaya aur kahne laga ki aap mubarak Batha mein hain.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed in this small mosque, which is besides the mosque that was built over the well of Ru’ma.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اس چھوٹی مسجد میں نماز پڑھی، جو روحاء کے اوپر بنی ہوئی مسجد کے علاوہ ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is chhoti masjid mein namaz parhi, jo Rooha ke upar bani hui masjid ke ilawa hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while going towards a mound on the right side of the path, used to camp in a spacious and soft piece of land under the shade of a big tree away from the peak of the mountain, which is two miles away from another peak, its lower part has now collapsed and it is standing on its roots.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ راستے کی دائیں جانب ٹیلے کی طرف جاتے ہوئے ایک کشادہ اور نرم زمین میں پہاڑ کی چونچ سے ہٹ کر ایک موٹے سے صحن کے نیچے پڑاؤ کرتے تھے، جو ایک دوسری چونچ سے دومیل کے فاصلے پر ہے، اس کا نچلا حصہ اب جھڑ چکا ہے اور وہ اپنی جڑوں پر قائم ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raste ki dayen janib taile ki taraf jate hue ek kushada aur narm zameen mein pahari ki chonch se hat kar ek mote se sahan ke neeche padav karte the, jo ek dusri chonch se do meel ke fasle par hai, iska nichla hissa ab jhad chuka hai aur wo apni jaron par qa'im hai.
