Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the buying and selling of fruits before they ripen. The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is meant by the ripening of fruits?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the fear of its spoilage is gone and its bad fruits have been removed."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے پھل پکنے سے پہلے اس کی خرید و فروخت سے منع فرمایا ہے، لوگوں نے پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ!! پھل پکنے سے کیا مراد ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب اس سے خراب ہونے کا خطرہ دور ہو جائے اور عمدہ پھل چھٹ جائے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phal pakne se pehle us ki khareed o farokht se mana farmaya hai, logon ne poocha: Ya Rasulullah!! phal pakne se kya murad hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Jab us se kharab hone ka khatra door ho jaye aur umda phal chhat jaye.“
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (R.A.) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had set three shares for a man and his horse (during the Battle of Khaybar), one share for the man and two shares for the horse.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے (غزوہ خیبر کے موقع پر) مرد اور اس کے گھوڑے کے تین حصے مقرر فرمائے تھے، جن میں سے ایک حصہ مرد کا اور دو حصے گھوڑے کے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne (Ghazwa Khyber ke mauqa par) mard aur uske ghore ke teen hisse muqarrar farmaye thay, jin mein se ek hissa mard ka aur do hisse ghore ke thay.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I know of a tree that is blessed like a Muslim man, it is the date palm tree."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میں ایک ایسا درخت جانتا ہوں جس کی برکت مرد مسلم کی طرح ہے، وہ کھجور کا درخت ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Main ek aisa darakht janta hun jis ki barkat mard muslim ki tarah hai, woh khajoor ka darakht hai.“.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to offer nafl prayers while riding his mount, no matter which direction it was facing, and he would say, "I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) doing the same," and he would cite this verse in support of it: "And wherever you are, turn your faces toward it [i.e., the Kaaba]."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما اپنی سواری پر ہی نفل نماز پڑھ لیتے تھے خواہ اس کا رخ کسی بھی سمت میں ہوتا اور فرماتے تھے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو بھی اسی طرح کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے اور وہ اس کی تائید میں یہ آیت پیش کرتے تھے «وحيث ماكنتم فولوا وجوهكم» ۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar RA apni sawari par hi nafl namaz parh lete the khwah us ka rukh kisi bhi simt mein hota aur farmate the keh maine Nabi SAW ko bhi isi tarah karte huye dekha hai aur wo us ki taeed mein yeh aayat pesh karte the «Wahaisu makintum fawallu wujuhakum» .
It is narrated from our master Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, once took hold of my garment or a part of my body and said, “O Abdullah! Live in this world like a traveler or passerby, and count yourself among the dead.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ میرے کپڑے یا جسم کے کسی حصے کو پکڑ کر فرمایا: ”اے عبداللہ! دنیا میں اس طرح رہو، جیسے کوئی مسافر یا راہ گزر ہوتا ہے اور اپنے آپ کو مردوں میں شمار کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba mere kapre ya jism ke kisi hisse ko pakar kar farmaya: “Ae Abdullah! Duniya mein is tarah raho, jaise koi musafir ya raah guzar hota hai aur apne aap ko murdon mein shumar karo.”
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A Muhrim (person in the state of Ihram) cannot wear a shirt, pants, turban, and socks unless he does not find shoes. Whoever does not find shoes, it is permissible for him to wear socks cut below the ankles. Similarly, a Muhrim cannot wear a cap or any cloth on which Wirs (a type of grass) or saffron is applied, unless it has been washed."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”محرم قمیض شلوار عمامہ اور موزے نہیں پہن سکتا الاّ یہ کہ اسے جوتے نہ ملیں، جس شخص کو جوتے نہ ملیں اسے چاہئے کہ وہ موزوں کو ٹخنوں سے نیچے کاٹ کر پہن لے، اسی طرح ٹوپی یا ایسا کپڑا جس پر ورس نامی گھاس یا زعفران لگی ہوئی ہو، وہ بھی محرم نہیں پہن سکتا الاّ یہ کہ اسے دھو لیا گیا ہو۔
Saina Ibne Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai ke Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Mehram qameez shalwar amama aur moze nahi pehan sakta illa ye ke use jute na milen, jis shakhs ko jute na milen use chahiye ke wo mozon ko takhnon se neeche kaat kar pehan le, isi tarah topi ya aisa kapda jis par wars nami ghas ya zafraan lagi hui ho, wo bhi mehram nahi pehan sakta illa ye ke use dho liya gaya ho.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about lizard meat. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I do not eat it, nor do I forbid it."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ کسی شخص نے نبی ﷺ سے گوہ کے متعلق سوال پوچھا: تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میں اسے کھاتا ہوں اور نہ اس کی ممانعت کرتا ہوں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki kisi shakhs ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se goh ke mutalliq sawal poocha: to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "main ise khata hun aur na is ki mamanat karta hun."
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a person comes for Friday prayer, he should come after taking a bath."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب کوئی شخص جمعہ کے لئے آئے تو اسے چاہیے کہ غسل کر کے آئے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: “Jab koi shakhs Jumma ke liye aaye to use chahiye ki gusl kar ke aaye.”
Abdullah bin Muqadam, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "I saw Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, performing Sa'i between Safa and Marwah at a normal pace, so I asked him: 'O Abu Abdur-Rahman! Why are you not running?' He replied: 'The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) both hastened his pace and did not hasten his pace here.'"

عبداللہ بن مقدام رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو صفا مروہ کے درمیان سعی میں عام رفتار سے چلتے ہوئے دیکھا، تو ان سے پوچھا: اے ابوعبدالرحمن! آپ تیز کیوں نہیں چل رہے؟ فرمایا: نبی ﷺ نے یہاں اپنی رفتار تیز بھی فرمائی اور نہیں بھی فرمائی۔
Abdullah bin Muqdam rehmatullah alaih kahte hain ke maine Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ko Safa Marwa ke darmiyan sa'i mein aam raftaar se chalte hue dekha, to unse poocha: Aye Abu Abdullah! Aap tez kyun nahin chal rahe? Farmaya: Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne yahan apni raftaar tez bhi farma'i aur nahin bhi farma'i.
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If you give up jihad (striving in the cause of Allah), start holding on to the tails of cows, and are content with agriculture and raising livestock, Allah will cast humiliation upon you and will not relieve you of it until you return to your religion.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”اگر تم نے جہاد کو ترک کر دیا، گائے کی دمیں پکڑنے لگے، عمدہ اور بڑھیا چیزیں خریدنے لگے، تو اللہ تم پر مصائب کو نازل فرمائے گا اور اس وقت تک انہیں دور نہیں کرے گا جب تک تم لوگ توبہ کر کے دین کی طرف واپس نہ آ جاؤ گے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Agar tum ne jihad ko tark kar diya, gae ki dum pakadne lage, umda aur badhiya cheezen kharidne lage, to Allah tum par masaib ko nazil farmaye ga aur us waqt tak unhen door nahi kare ga jab tak tum log toba kar ke deen ki taraf wapas na aa jao ge.“.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying on the pulpit, “When anyone amongst you comes for Jumu’ah, he must perform Ghusl.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے برسر منبر نبی ﷺ سے ارشاد فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ جب کوئی شخص جمعہ کے لئے آئے تو اسے چاہئے کہ غسل کر کے آئے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki maine barsar mimbar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se irshad farmate hue suna hai ki jab koi shakhs juma ke liye aaye to use chahiye ki gusl kar ke aaye.
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Abu Abdur-Rahman! Will the couple who performed Li'an (mutual imprecation) be separated?" Upon hearing my question, he exclaimed, "Subhan Allah!" and said: "The first person to inquire about Li'an was so-and-so, the son of so-and-so. He asked, 'O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, if a man sees his wife committing adultery, if he speaks, he would be saying something immense, and if he remains silent, he would be silent on such a grave matter?' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remained silent instead of answering his question. After a while, the man returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! The matter about which I asked you, I have been afflicted with it." Thereupon, Allah revealed these verses of Surah Nur: 'And those who accuse their wives...' until '...if he is of the truthful.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) summoned the man and recited these verses to him. Then, according to these verses, he initiated the procedure of Li'an with the man, advising and admonishing him, saying, 'The punishment of this world is lighter than the punishment of the Hereafter.' The man said, 'By the One who has sent you with the truth, I am not lying to you!' Secondly, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made the woman stand and advised and admonished her as well, saying, 'The punishment of this world is lighter than the punishment of the Hereafter.' She said, 'By the One who has sent you with the truth, he is lying!' Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started with the man, and he swore four times by Allah, testifying that he was truthful, and the fifth time he said, 'May the curse of Allah be upon me if I am lying.' Then, he turned to the woman, and she also swore four times by Allah, testifying that he was lying, and the fifth time she said, 'May the wrath of Allah be upon me if he is truthful!' Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) separated the two."

سعید بن جبیر رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے عرض کیا: اے ابوعبدالرحمن! کیا لعان کرنے والوں کے درمیان تفریق کی جائے گی؟ انہوں نے میرا سوال سن کر سبحان اللہ کہا اور فرمایا: لعان کے متعلق سب سے پہلے فلاں بن فلاں نے سوال کیا تھا، اس نے عرض کیا تھا، یا رسول اللہ!! یہ بتائیے کہ اگر کوئی آدمی اپنی بیوی کو بدکاری کرتا ہوا دیکھتا ہے، وہ بولتا ہے تو بہت بڑی بات کہتا ہے اور اگر خاموش رہتا ہے تو اتنی بڑی بات پر خاموش رہتا ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے اس کے سوال کا جواب دینے کے بجائے سکوت فرمایا، کچھ ہی عرصے بعد وہ شخص دوبارہ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور کہنے لگا کہ میں نے آپ سے جو سوال پوچھا تھا، میں اس میں مبتلا ہو گیا ہوں، اس پر اللہ نے سورہ نور کی یہ آیات «والذين يرمون ازواجهم ...... ان كان من الصدقين» تک نازل فرمائیں نبی ﷺ نے اس آدمی کو بلا کر اس کے سامنے ان آیات کی تلاوت کی، پھر ان آیات کے مطابق مرد سے لعان کا آغاز کرتے ہوئے اسے وعظ و نصیحت کی اور فرمایا کہ دنیا کی سزا آخرت کے عذاب سے ہلکی ہے، وہ کہنے لگا کہ اس ذات کی قسم! جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا، میں آپ سے جھوٹ نہیں بول رہا، دوسرے نمبر پر نبی ﷺ نے عورت کو رکھا اسے بھی وعظ و نصیحت کی اور فرمایا کہ دنیا کی سزا آخرت کے عذاب سے ہلکی ہے، وہ کہنے لگی کہ اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے، یہ جھوٹا ہے۔ پھر نبی ﷺ نے مرد سے اس کا آغاز کیا اور اس نے چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر یہ گواہی دی کہ وہ سچا ہے اور پانچویں مرتبہ یہ کہا کہ اگر وہ جھوٹا ہو تو اس پر اللہ کی لعنت نازل ہو، پھر عورت کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور اس نے بھی چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر یہ گواہی دی کہ وہ جھوٹا ہے اور پانچویں مرتبہ یہ کہا کہ اگر وہ سچا ہو تو اس پر اللہ کا غضب نازل ہو پھر نبی ﷺ نے ان دونوں کے درمیان تفریق کرا دی۔
Saeed bin Jubair rehmatullah alaih kehte hain keh maine Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma se arz kiya: Aye Abu-Abdulrahman! Kya liaan karne walon ke darmiyaan tafreeq ki jayegi? Unhon ne mera sawal sun kar Subhan Allah kaha aur farmaya: Liaan ke mutalliq sabse pehle falan bin falan ne sawal kiya tha, usne arz kiya tha, Ya Rasul Allah!! Yeh bataiye keh agar koi aadmi apni biwi ko badkari karte hue dekhta hai, woh bolta hai to bahut badi baat kehta hai aur agar khamosh rehta hai to itni badi baat par khamosh rehta hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne iske sawal ka jawab dene ke bajaye sukut farmaya, kuchh hi arse baad woh shakhs dobara Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur kehne laga keh maine aapse jo sawal puchha tha, main usme mubtala ho gaya hun, is par Allah ne Surah Noor ki yeh ayat «wal-lazeena yarmoona azwaja hum ...... in kana min-as-saadiqeen» tak nazil farmayen Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is aadmi ko bula kar iske samne in ayat ki tilawat ki, phir in ayat ke mutabiq mard se liaan ka aaghaz karte hue use waaz o nasihat ki aur farmaya keh duniya ki saza aakhirat ke azab se halki hai, woh kehne laga keh is zaat ki qasam! Jisne aapko haq ke sath bheja, main aapse jhoot nahin bol raha, dusre number par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne aurat ko rakha use bhi waaz o nasihat ki aur farmaya keh duniya ki saza aakhirat ke azab se halki hai, woh kehne lagi keh is zaat ki qasam jisne aapko haq ke sath bheja hai, yeh jhoota hai. Phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mard se iska aaghaz kiya aur usne chaar martaba Allah ki qasam kha kar yeh gawahi di keh woh sacha hai aur panchwein martaba yeh kaha keh agar woh jhoota ho to is par Allah ki laanat nazil ho, phir aurat ki taraf mutawajjeh hue aur usne bhi chaar martaba Allah ki qasam kha kar yeh gawahi di keh woh jhoota hai aur panchwein martaba yeh kaha keh agar woh sacha ho to is par Allah ka ghazab nazil ho phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne in donon ke darmiyaan tafreeq kara di.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the following: that a merchant should meet those coming from outside the city and conduct business with them before they enter the city; that a city dweller should sell on behalf of a villager; that a man should send a marriage proposal for himself regarding a woman for whom his brother has already sent a proposal, until the first proposal is concluded by either marriage or refusal; that there is no optional prayer after the Asr prayer until sunset; and that there is no optional prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun has risen high.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اس بات سے منع فرمایا ہے کہ تاجر سوار ہو کر آنے والوں سے، باہر باہر ہی مل لیں، یا کوئی شہری کسی دیہاتی کے لئے بیع کرے، یا کوئی شخص اپنے بھائی کے پیغام نکاح پر اپنا پیغام نکاح بھیجے تا وقتیکہ نکاح نہ ہو جائے یا رشتہ چھوٹ نہ جائے، اور عصر کے بعد غروب آفتاب تک کوئی نفل نماز نہیں ہے اور نماز فجر کے بعد سورج کے بلند ہو جانے تک کوئی نفل نماز نہیں ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is baat se mana farmaya hai ki tajir sawar ho kar aane walon se, bahar bahar hi mil len, ya koi shehri kisi dehati ke liye be kr le, ya koi shakhs apne bhai ke paigham nikah par apna paigham nikah bheje ta waqt ke nikah na ho jaye ya rishta chhoot na jaye, aur Asr ke bad ghuroob aftab tak koi nafl namaz nahin hai aur namaz fajr ke bad suraj ke buland ho jane tak koi nafl namaz nahin hai.
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: “I had a wife whom I loved very much, but Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked her. He said to me, ‘Divorce her.’ I hesitated to divorce her. So, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! The wife of Abdullah bin Umar, I do not like her. I am telling him to divorce her, but he does not listen to me.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, ‘O Abdullah! Divorce your wife.’ So, I divorced her.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے، کہتے ہیں میری جو بیوی تھی، مجھے اس سے بڑی محبت تھی، لیکن وہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو ناپسند تھی، انہوں نے مجھ سے کہا کہ اسے طلاق دے دو، میں نے اسے طلاق دینے میں لیت و لعل کی، تو سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس آ گئے، اور عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ!! عبداللہ بن عمر کے نکاح میں جو عورت ہے، مجھے وہ پسند نہیں ہے، میں اسے کہتا ہوں کہ اسے طلاق دے دے، تو وہ میری بات نہیں مانتا نبی ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا کہ عبداللہ! اپنی بیوی کو طلاق دے دو، چنانچہ میں نے اسے طلاق دے دی۔
Sayyidina Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai, kahte hain meri jo biwi thi, mujhe us se bari mohabbat thi, lekin woh Sayyidina Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko napasand thi, unhon ne mujh se kaha ke use talaq de do, main ne use talaq dene mein leit o laal ki, to Sayyidina Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aa gaye, aur arz kiya, Ya Rasulullah!! Abdullah bin Umar ke nikah mein jo aurat hai, mujhe woh pasand nahin hai, main use kahta hun ke use talaq de de, to woh meri baat nahin manta Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaya ke Abdullah! apni biwi ko talaq de do, chunancha main ne use talaq de di.
Abdullah bin Suraqah said: We were on a journey, and with us was the son of Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both. I asked him, and he said: I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he would not pray before or after the obligatory prayers while traveling (meaning the Sunnah prayers). I asked the son of Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, about the sale of fruits. He said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the sale of fruits before the end of “Aahah." I asked him about the meaning of “Aahah,” and he said: The rising of the Thuraya star (which is a sign that no more calamity will befall the fruit). Ibn Sirin said: Khurasan is not a city of wise men. If there are any, they are only in the city of Marw.

عبداللہ بن سراقہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ ایک سفر میں تھے، ہمارے ساتھ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما بھی تھے، میں نے ان سے پوچھا: تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو دیکھا ہے کہ آپ ﷺ سفر میں فرائض سے پہلے یا بعد میں نماز نہیں پڑھتے تھے (سنتیں مراد ہیں)۔ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پھلوں کی بیع کے متعلق پوچھا: تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ نے «عاهه» کے ختم ہونے سے پہلے پھلوں کی بیع سے منع فرمایا ہے، میں نے ان سے «عاهه» کا مطلب پوچھا، تو انہوں نے فرمایا: ثریا ستارہ کا طلوع ہونا (جو کہ اس بات کی علامت ہوتی ہے کہ اب اس پھل پر کوئی آفت نہیں آئے گی)۔ ابن سری کہتے ہیں کہ خراسان کوئی عقلمندوں کا شہر نہیں ہے، اگر کچھ ہو بھی تو صرف اس شہر ”مرو“ میں ہو گا۔
Abdullah bin Siraqa kehte hain ki hum log aik safar mein thay, humare sath Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a bhi thay, maine un se pucha: to unhon ne farmaya ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekha hai ki aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) safar mein faraiz se pehle ya baad mein namaz nahi parhte thay (sunnatain murad hain). Maine Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se phalon ki bay ke mutalliq pucha: to unhon ne farmaya ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne «Aahe» ke khatam hone se pehle phalon ki bay se mana farmaya hai, maine un se «Aahe» ka matlab pucha, to unhon ne farmaya: Thuraya sitare ka talu hona (jo ki is baat ki alamat hoti hai ki ab is phal par koi aafat nahi ayegi). Ibn Sari kehte hain ki Khorasan koi aqilmandon ka shehar nahi hai, agar kuchh ho bhi to sirf is shehar ”Marv“ mein ho ga.
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade “Hantam,” Someone asked, “What is that?” He said: “A clay pot in which alcoholic drinks are prepared (or fermented).”.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے «حنتمه» سے منع فرمای ہے، کسی نے پوچھا: وہ کیا چیز ہے؟ فرمایا: ”وہ مٹکا جو نبیذ (یا شراب کشید کرنے کے لئے) استعمال ہوتا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne «Hantamah» se mana farmaya hai, kisi ne poocha: wo kya cheez hai? Farmaya: ”wo matka jo nabidh (ya sharaab kashid karne ke liye) istemal hota hai.“.
It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride (i.e. it trails on the ground), Allah will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص تکبر کی وجہ سے اپنے کپڑے گھسیٹتا ہوا چلتا ہے (کپڑے زمین پر گھستے جاتے ہیں) اللہ قیامت کے دن اس پر نظر رحم نہ فرمائے گا۔“
Saina Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs takabbur ki waja se apne kapde ghaseetta hua chalta hai (kapde zameen par ghaste jate hain) Allah qayamat ke din us par nazar-e-reham na farmaye ga۔“
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (the use of) containers made of Dubba', Hantum and Muzaffat. The narrator has some doubt regarding the word "Naqir".

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے دباء، حنتم اور مزفت سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ راوی کو ”نقیر“ کے لفظ میں شک ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Daba, Hintam aur Mizfat se mana farmaya hai. Ravi ko “Naqir” ke lafz mein shak hai.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Witr is the last of the night prayers."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”وتر رات کی نمازوں میں سب سے آخری رکعت ہوتی ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Witr raat ki namaazon mein sab se aakhiri rakat hoti hai."
It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "We are an unlettered nation, we do not know calculation. The month is like this, this and this" - and he pointed with his fingers three times - "and sometimes it is like this, this and this," meaning the full thirty.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہم امی امت ہیں، حساب کتاب نہیں جانتے، بعض اوقات مہینہ اتنا، اتنا اور اتنا ہوتا ہے، تیسری مرتبہ آپ ﷺ نے انگوٹھا بند کر لیا اور بعض اوقات اتنا، اتنا اور اتنا ہوتا ہے یعنی پورے تیس کا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Hum ummi ummat hain, hisab kitab nahi jante, baz auqat mahina itna, itna aur itna hota hai, teesri martaba aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ungotha band kar liya aur baz auqat itna, itna aur itna hota hai yani poore tees ka.”
Saeed bin Jubair said that once Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was passing through a street of Madinah, he saw that some young men had tied a live chicken and were aiming at it. Upon this, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) became angry and said, "Who is doing this?" At the same time, all the young men moved right and left. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed the person who makes a living being a target.

سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ مدینہ کے کسی راستے پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا گزر ہوا، دیکھا کہ کچھ نوجوانوں نے ایک زندہ مرغی کو باندھ رکھا ہے اور اس پر نشانہ درست کر رہے ہیں، اس پر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما غصے میں آ گئے اور فرمانے لگے، یہ کون کر رہا ہے؟ اسی وقت سارے نوجوان دائیں بائیں ہو گئے، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اس شخص پر لعنت فرمائی ہے، جو جانور کا مثلہ کرے۔
Saeed bin Jubair kehte hain ki ek martaba Madina ke kisi raste par Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ka guzar hua, dekha ki kuch naujawanon ne ek zinda murgi ko bandh rakha hai aur is par nishana durust kar rahe hain, is par Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ghusse mein aa gaye aur farmane lage, yeh kaun kar raha hai? Isi waqt sare naujawan dayen baayen ho gaye, Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is shakhs par laanat farmai hai, jo jaanwar ka misl karay.
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): The Talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was: "Here I am, O Allah! Here I am, here I am, You have no partner, here I am. All praise and blessings belong to You, and so does the dominion. You have no partner."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کا تلبیہ یہ تھا، میں حاضر ہوں، اے اللہ! میں حاضر ہوں، میں حاضر ہوں، آپ کا کوئی شریک نہیں، میں حاضر ہوں، تمام تعریفیں اور تمام نعمتیں آپ کے لئے ہیں، حکومت بھی آپ ہی کی ہے، آپ کا کوئی شریک نہیں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai keh Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka talbiyah yeh tha, main hazir hun, Aye Allah! main hazir hun, main hazir hun, Aap ka koi sharik nahi, main hazir hun, tamam tareefain aur tamam naimatain Aap ke liye hain, hukumat bhi Aap hi ki hai, Aap ka koi sharik nahi.
Nafi', may Allah have mercy on him, said: Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, saw a poor man. He called him closer and placed food in front of him. The man ate a lot. Upon seeing this, Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him and his father, said to me: "Do not let him come to me again. I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: 'The disbeliever eats in seven intestines.'"

نافع رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے ایک مسکین آدمی کو دیکھا، انہوں نے اسے قریب بلا کر اس کے آگے کھانا رکھا، وہ بہت سا کھانا کھا گیا، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے یہ دیکھ کر مجھ سے فرمایا: آئندہ یہ میرے پاس نہ آئے، میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ کافر سات آنتوں میں کھاتا ہے۔
Nafey rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne aik miskeen aadmi ko dekha, unhon ne usay qareeb bula kar uske aage khana rakha, woh bohat sa khana kha gaya, sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma ne yeh dekh kar mujhse farmaya: aayinda yeh mere paas na aaye, maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh farmate huye suna hai ke kafir saat aanton mein khata hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not prevent the women of your households from coming to the mosque at night.” Hearing this, Salim, or a son of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “By Allah, we will not leave them like that, they will use it as an excuse [to go out]”. Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) struck his chest with his hand and said, “I am narrating to you the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and you are saying this?”.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”تم رات کے وقت اپنے اہل خانہ کو مسجد آنے سے نہ روکا کرو“، یہ سن کر سالم یا سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا کوئی بیٹا کہنے لگا کہ واللہ! ہم تو انہیں اس طرح نہیں چھوڑیں گے، وہ تو اسے اپنے لئے دلیل بنا لیں گی، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اس کے سینے پر ہاتھ مار کر فرمایا کہ میں تم سے نبی ﷺ کی حدیث بیان کر رہا ہوں اور تم یہ کہہ رہے ہو؟
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Tum raat ke waqt apne ahl khana ko masjid aane se na roka karo", yeh sunkar Salim ya Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ka koi beta kahne laga ki wallah! hum to unhen is tarah nahin chhodenge, woh to use apne liye dalil bana lengi, Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne uske seene par hath mar kar farmaya ki main tum se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki hadees bayan kar raha hun aur tum yeh kah rahe ho?.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The believer who mixes with people and bears their annoyance with patience will have a greater reward than the believer who does not mix with people and does not bear their annoyance with patience."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”وہ مسلمان جو لوگوں سے ملتاجلتا ہے اور ان کی طرف سے آنے والی تکالیف پر صبر کرتا ہے، وہ اس مسلمان سے اجر و ثواب میں کہیں زیادہ ہے، جو لوگوں سے میل جول نہیں رکھتا کہ ان کی تکالیف پر صبر کرنے کی نوبت آئے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Woh Musalman jo logon se milta julta hai aur un ki taraf se aane wali takaleef par sabar karta hai, woh us Musalman se ajr o sawab mein kahin zyada hai, jo logon se mil jul nahin rakhta ki un ki takaleef par sabar karne ki nobat aaye."
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you are three men, let not two of you converse secretly, leaving out the third." The narrator says: I asked Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "What is the ruling if there are four?" He said: "There is no harm in it."

سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب تم تین آدمی ہو تو تیسرے کو چھوڑ کر دو آدمی سرگوشی نہ کرنے لگا کرو“، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا کہ اگر چار ہوں تو کیا حکم ہے؟ فرمایا: اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab tum teen aadmi ho to teesre ko chhod kar do aadmi sargosi na karne laga karo", ravi kehte hain ki maine Sayyidna Ibn Umar Raziallahu Anhuma se poocha ki agar chaar hon to kya hukm hai? Farmaya: Is mein koi harj nahi.
Narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was: "Here I am, O Allah! Here I am, here I am, You have no partner, here I am. All praise and blessings are for You, and the dominion is Yours. You have no partner."

Yunus bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) once asked Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about a man who divorced his wife during her menstrual period. He (Ibn Umar) said, "Do you know Abdullah ibn Umar? He also divorced his wife during her menstrual period. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and told him about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Tell him to take her back, then if he wants to divorce her, he should do so when she is pure (not menstruating).'" I (Yunus) asked Ibn Umar: "Will that (divorce) be counted?" He (Ibn Umar) said: "Tell me, do you want to prove him (the Prophet) foolish and stupid?"

یونس بن جبیر رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے اس شخص کے متعلق پوچھا: جو ایام کی حالت میں اپنی بیوی کو طلاق دے دے، تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ کیا تم عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو جانتے ہو، اس نے بھی اپنی بیوی کو ایام کی حالت میں طلاق دے دی تھی، سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے جا کر نبی ﷺ کو یہ بات بتائی، تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اسے کہو کہ وہ اس سے رجوع کر لے، پھر اگر وہ اسے طلاق دینا ہی چاہے تو طہر کے دوران دے،“ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا کہ کیا اس کی وہ طلاق شمار کی جائے گی؟ فرمایا: یہ بتاؤ، کیا تم اسے بیوقوف اور احمق ثابت کرنا چاہتے ہو۔
Younas bin Jabir rehmatullah alaih ne ek martaba sayyiduna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma se is shakhs ke mutaliq poocha: jo ayaam ki halat mein apni biwi ko talaq de de, to unhon ne farmaya ke kya tum Abdullah bin Umar razi Allah anhuma ko jante ho, is ne bhi apni biwi ko ayaam ki halat mein talaq de di thi, sayyiduna Umar razi Allah anhu ne ja kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh baat batai, to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "ise kaho ke woh is se ruju kar le, phir agar woh ise talaq dena hi chahe to taher ke dauran de," mein ne sayyiduna Ibn Umar razi Allah anhuma se poocha ke kya is ki woh talaq shumar ki jaye gi? farmaya: yeh batao, kya tum ise bewakoof aur ahmaq sabit karna chahte ho.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “I neither eat lizard meat nor do I order it, nor do I forbid it.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میں نہ گوہ کو کھاتا ہوں، نہ حکم دیتا ہوں اور نہ منع کرتا ہوں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Main na goh ko khata hun, na hukm deta hun aur na mana karta hun.”
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Ghaylan bin Salmah Thaqafi embraced Islam, he had ten wives in his marriage. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, "Choose four of them (and divorce the remaining six)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ غیلان بن سلمہ ثقفی نے جس وقت اسلام قبول کیا ان کے نکاح میں دس بیویاں تھیں، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ ان میں سے چار کو منتخب کر لو (اور باقی چھ کو طلاق دے دو)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allah Anhuma se marvi hai ki Ghailan bin Salma Saqafi ne jis waqt Islam qabool kiya un ke nikah mein das biwiyan thin, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya ki un mein se chaar ko muntakhib kar lo (aur baqi chhe ko talaq de do).
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Do not leave fire burning in your houses when you go to sleep."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب تم سونے لگو تو اپنے گھروں میں آگ کو جلتا ہوا نہ چھوڑا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jab tum sone lago to apne gharon mein aag ko jalta hua na chhoda karo۔“
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The example of the people is that of a hundred camels, among which you cannot find even one suitable for riding."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”لوگوں کی مثال ان سو اونٹوں کی سی ہے، جن میں سے ایک بھی سواری کے قابل نہ ہو۔“
Sada ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Logon ki misal un sau oonton ki si hai, jin mein se ek bhi sawari ke qabil na ho.“.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade making Nabidh (a type of drink) in clay pots (Dubba) and Mazfat (tarred vessels) and said, "Make Nabidh in leather containers (Mashkiz)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے مٹکے یعنی دباء اور مزفت سے منع کیا ہے اور فرمایا ہے کہ مشکیزوں میں نبیذ بنا لیا کرو۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne matke yani diba aur muzfat se mana kiya hai aur farmaya hai ki mashkizon mein nabiz bana liya karo.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever seeks Laylat al-Qadr, let him seek it in the last ten nights, and if he is unable or becomes weak, then let him not be overcome in the last seven."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”شب قدر کو تلاش کر نے والا اسے آخری عشرے میں تلاش کرے، اگر اس سے عاجز آ جائے یا کمزور ہو جائے تو آخری سات راتوں میں مغلوب نہ ہو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Shab e Qadr ko talash karne wala ise aakhri ashray mein talash kare, agar is se aajiz aa jaye ya kamzor ho jaye to aakhri saat raaton mein maglub na ho."
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Offer the night prayer in sets of two rak'ahs. When the time for Fajr approaches, pray one rak'ah and conclude your prayer with it (as Witr)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ر”ات کی نماز دو دو رکعت کر کے پڑھی جاتی ہے، جب طلوع فجر ہونے لگے تو ان کے ساتھ ایک رکعت اور ملا کر وتر پڑھ لو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Raat ki namaz do do rakat kar ke parhi jati hai, jab tulue fajar hone lage to un ke sath ek rakat aur mila kar witr parh lo.”
Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I saw Thawban performing the raising of the hands (raf' al-yadayn) at the start of prayer, when bowing (ruku), and when rising from bowing. A student of his told me that he narrates it from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

حکم رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے طاؤس کو دیکھا کہ وہ نماز شروع کرتے وقت، رکوع میں جاتے وقت اور رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے وقت رفع یدین کر رہے تھے، ان کے کسی شاگرد نے مجھے بتایا کہ وہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے حوالے سے اسے نبی ﷺ سے نقل کرتے ہیں۔
Hukm Rahmatullah Alaih kehte hain ki maine Taous ko dekha ki woh Namaz shuru karte waqt, ruku mein jaate waqt aur ruku se sar uthate waqt rafay yadain kar rahe the, unke kisi shagird ne mujhe bataya ki woh Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke hawale se ise Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se naqal karte hain.
The previous hadith is also narrated from this second chain of narration.

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If a man calls another man a disbeliever, then either it is as he said or it will return upon him.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص کسی آدمی کو کافر کہتا ہے، اگر وہ واقعی کافر ہو تو ٹھیک، ورنہ وہ جملہ اسی پر لوٹ آتا ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar razi Allah unhuma se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs kisi aadmi ko kafir kehta hai, agar woh waqai kafir ho to theek, warna woh jumla usi par laut aata hai.“
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a man from Quraysh who used to deceive people in sales. He mentioned this matter to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You should say that there is no deception in this sale."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ قریش کا ایک آدمی تھا جیسے بیع میں لوگ دھوکہ دے دیتے تھے، اس نے نبی ﷺ سے یہ بات ذکر کی۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم یوں کہہ لیا کرو کہ اس بیع میں کوئی دھوکہ نہیں ہے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Quresh ka ek aadmi tha jaise bay mein log dhoka de dete the, usne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se yeh baat zikar ki. Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Tum yun kah liya karo ki is bay mein koi dhoka nahi hai."
Jabala reported that Abdullah ibn Zubair, may Allah be pleased with him, used to give us dates to eat. At that time people were facing extreme hardship. One day, we were eating dates when Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, passed by us and said, “Do not eat many dates at a time, for the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, forbade eating many dates without the permission of one's brother.” Imam Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "My opinion is that the statement about permission is the saying of Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him."

جبلہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ ہمیں کھانے کے لئے کھجور دیا کرتے تھے، اس زمانے میں لوگ انتہائی مشکلات کا شکار تھے، ایک دن ہم کھجوریں کھا رہے تھے کہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ہمارے پاس سے گزرے اور فرمانے لگے کہ ایک وقت میں کئی کئی کھجوریں اکٹھی مت کھاؤ کیونکہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے بھائی کی اجازت کے بغیر کئی کھجوریں کھانے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ امام شعبہ رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں، میرا خیال تو یہی ہے کہ اجازت والی بات سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا کلام ہے۔
Jabala kehte hain ke Sayyidna Abdullah bin Zubair (رضي الله تعالى عنه) humain khanay ke liye khajoor diya karte thay, iss zamanay mein log intehai mushkilaat ka shikar thay, aik din hum khajoorein kha rahay thay ke Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a humare pass se guzre aur farmane lage ke aik waqt mein kai kai khajoorein ikatthi mat khao kyunki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne bhai ki ijazat ke baghair kai khajoorein khanay se mana farmaya hai. Imam Sha'ban Rahimahullah farmate hain, mera khayal to yahi hai ke ijazat wali baat Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ka kalam hai.
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جو شخص تکبر کی وجہ سے اپنے کپڑے گھسیٹتا ہوا چلتا ہے (کپڑے زمین پر گھستے جاتے ہیں) اللہ قیامت کے دن اس پر نظر رحم نہ فرمائے گا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: ”Jo shakhs takabbur ki wajah se apne kapde ghasitta hua chalta hai (kapde zameen par ghaste jate hain) Allah qayamat ke din us par nazar-e-rehm na farmaye ga۔“
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Sometimes the month is thus, thus and thus." The third time he (ﷺ) closed his thumb, meaning twenty-nine.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بعض اوقات مہینہ اتنا، اتنا اور اتنا ہوتا ہے۔ تیسری مرتبہ آپ ﷺ نے انگوٹھا بند کر لیا یعنی انتیس کا۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "baz auqat mahina itna, itna aur itna hota hai. Teesri martaba aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ungotha band kar liya yani untis ka."
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to offer nafl (voluntary) prayers while riding his mount, regardless of its direction, and he would say: "I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) doing the same."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما اپنی سواری پر ہی نفل نماز پڑھ لیتے تھے خواہ اس کا رخ کسی بھی سمت میں ہوتا اور فرماتے تھے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو بھی اسی طرح کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a apni sawari par hi nafl namaz parh lete the khwah is ka rukh kisi bhi simt mein hota aur farmate the ke maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko bhi isi tarah karte hue dekha hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that he prayed behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), behind the two Sheikhs (Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both), and for six years also behind Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) in Mina. All of them used to pray the prayer of travelers, that is, two rak'ahs. Later, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) started praying the full prayer.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ، حضرات شیخین رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ اور چھ سال سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ بھی منٰی میں نماز پڑھی ہے، یہ سب حضرات مسافروں والی نماز یعنی دو رکعتیں پڑھتے تھے، بعد میں سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ مکمل نماز پڑھنے لگے تھے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath, Hazrat Shaykhayn ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke sath aur chhe saal Sayyidna Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke sath bhi Munna mein Namaz parhayi hai, ye sab hazrat musafiro wali Namaz yani do rakat parhte the, baad mein Sayyidna Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) mukammal Namaz parhne lage the.
Awn al-Jazdi said that Umar ibn Ubaydullah ibn Ma'mar - who was the governor of Persia - wrote a letter to Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, in which he asked him about prayer. Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, wrote back that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, whenever he went out from his house, until he returned, he would only pray two rak'ahs (meaning qasr prayer).

عون ازدی کہتے ہیں کہ عمر بن عبیداللہ بن معمر ”جو کہ فارس کے گورنر تھے“ نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو ایک خط لکھا، جس میں ان سے نماز کے متعلق پوچھا، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے جواب میں لکھ بھیجا کہ نبی ﷺ جب اپنے گھر سے نکل جاتے تو واپس آنے تک دو رکعتیں ہی پڑھتے تھے (قصر نماز مراد ہے)۔
Aun Azdi kehty hain k Umar bin Ubaidullah bin Ma'mar jo k Faris k governor thy ne Syedna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ko aik khat likha, jis mein un se namaz k mutaliq poocha, Syedna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne jawab mein likh bheja k Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab apne ghar se nikal jaty to wapas aany tak do rakati hi parhty thy (Qasar namaz murad hai).
Once, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man fidgeting during prayer. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Do not fidget in prayer and do as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to do." The narrator says that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) then placed his right thigh over his left, his left hand on his left knee and his right hand on his right knee and began to point with his finger.

ایک مرتبہ سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے ایک آدمی کو دوران نماز کھیلتے ہوئے دیکھا، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اس سے فرمایا: نماز میں مت کھیلو اور اسی طرح کرو جیسے نبی ﷺ کرتے تھے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ پھر سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اپنی دائیں ران بائیں پر رکھ لی، بایاں ہاتھ بائیں گھٹنے پر اور دایاں ہاتھ دائیں گھٹنے پر رکھ لیا اور انگلی سے اشارہ کر نے لگے۔
Ek martaba Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne ek aadmi ko dauran namaz khelte huye dekha, Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne us se farmaya: Namaz mein mat khelo aur isi tarah karo jaise Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) karte thay. Rawi kahte hain ki phir Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne apni dayen ran bayen per rakh li, bayan hath bayen ghutne per aur dayan hath dayan ghutne per rakh liya aur ungli se ishara karne lage.
Hayyan Barqi (may Allah have mercy on him) said that once a man complained to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about their Imam (prayer leader) that he leads very long prayers. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Two rak'ahs of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were lighter than or equal to one rak'ah of this person's prayer.
حیان بارقی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ کسی شخص نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے عرض کیا کہ ہمارا امام بہت لمبی نماز پڑھاتا ہے، سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ کی دو رکعتیں اس شخص کی نماز کی ایک رکعت سے بھی ہلکی یا برابر ہوتی تھیں۔
Hayaan Barqi rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba kisi shakhs ne Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se arz kiya ke hamara imam bahut lambi namaz parhata hai, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki do rakaaten uss shakhs ki namaz ki ek rakat se bhi halki ya barabar hoti thin.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not prevent your women from coming to the mosques.”

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”اپنی عورتوں کو مسجدوں میں آنے سے مت روکا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: Apni auraton ko masjidon mein aane se mat roka karo.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "When you are three persons, two of you should not whisper excluding the third, and no one should make his brother get up from his place and sit in that place himself."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب تم تین آدمی ہو تو تیسرے کو چھوڑ کر دو آدمی سرگوشی نہ کرنے لگا کرو اور کوئی شخص اپنے بھائی کو اس کی جگہ سے اٹھا کر خود وہاں نہ بیٹھے۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab tum teen aadmi ho to teesre ko chhor kar do aadmi sargosi na karne laga karo aur koi shakhs apne bhai ko uski jaga se utha kar khud wahan na baithe."
'Abdul Rahman bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Once I was traveling with Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) from Medina to Mecca. He started praying on his mount in a corner of Mecca. I asked Salim, 'If his face was towards Medina, how would he have prayed?' Salim said, 'You ask him yourself.' So I asked him, and he said, 'Yes, I would have prayed in the same way here and there, because that is how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed.'"

عبدالرحمن بن سعد رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ مدینہ سے مکہ تک مجھے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کی رفاقت حاصل ہوئی، وہ مکہ کے ایک کونے میں اپنی سواری پر ہی نماز پڑھنے لگے، میں نے سالم سے کہا کہ اگر ان کا چہرہ مدینہ کی جانب ہوتا تو یہ کس طرح نماز پڑھتے؟ سالم نے کہا کہ تم خود ہی ان سے پوچھ لو، چنانچہ میں نے ان سے پوچھا، تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہاں اسی طرح پڑھتا یہاں بھی اور وہاں بھی کیونکہ نبی ﷺ نے اسی طرح کیا ہے۔
Abdulrehman bin Saad rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba Madina se Makkah tak mujhe Sayyidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ki rafaqat hasil hui, woh Makkah ke ek kone mein apni sawari par hi namaz parhne lage, maine Salem se kaha ke agar inka chehra Madina ki janib hota to ye kis tarah namaz parhte? Salem ne kaha ke tum khud hi in se puch lo, chunancha maine in se pucha, to unhon ne farmaya ke haan isi tarah parhta yahan bhi aur wahan bhi kyunke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne isi tarah kiya hai.
